I was gonna put it in the tags but it was getting too long.
Stop treating this war like a game and especially stop treating it like a fandom. People seriously treat this conflict and especially the current war like a goddamn reality show. It's disgusting.
They hide behind the mask of activism and righteousness to hide their bigotry. Both "sides" are guilty of this, both "pro-pals" and "pro-israel" people. So many of them are either antisemites, islamphobes, or both.
I'm getting sick of it. I want to live in peace and I want my neighbours to live in peace. I want children to be able to go to school without having to fear getting bombed.
We're human. Get this through your skull. Israelis are human. Palestinians are human. Jews are human. Muslims are human. We're all human.
The real sides aren't pro-israel and pro-palestine. The sides are pro-peace and pro-war. Pro settling this conflict already so we could fucking love our life in peace and pro dragging it out forever because we refuse to believe everyone can all exist in the same land in peace.
People who consider themselves pro-palestinian and go and attack synagogues are not pro peace.
People who consider themselves Zionists but also believe we need to flatten and take control over Gaza are not pro peace.
They're the people treating this war like a game and I'm sick and tired of watching them take over the internet with their stupid opinions. You're adding oil to the fire. You're actively lighting the match. You're trying to turn us against each other but that's not going to work for you.
Peace will win, at the end. Humanity will win. We will find a solution without the help of people who're only looking to fuel their hatred.
And fuck everyone who think otherwise.
remember that palestinians are humans: they are mohammed and amal and khaled and fatima and ahmed and sana.
remember that jews are humans: they are david and tamar and eitan and yael and ariel and noa.
we are not sides. we are not pawns. we are people. we have passions and hobbies and dreams. so stop treating this conflict like a game.

Montana part 1
Master List
Characters: Beau Arlen x Reader, Jenny Hoyt x Reader (cousins)
Warnings: mention of Domestic Violence, drinking, slow burn🔥
Minors DNI 18+
A/N: New series I’m working on. Doesn’t follow Big Sky story but has some characters.
This is a work of fiction. All work is my own, don’t take it.
I edited it quickly and typed with one hand due to surgery recovery. Please over look any errors. Thanks. 😊
🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀
You felt like you had been driving for days. Well, you had been but you did stop a few times. Pulling into the parking lot of the sheriffs station where your cousin Jenny worked you put the car in park. Turning off the ignition you got out and stretched. The cool Montana air caused a chill through your body. You hadn’t planned to move to Montana, but after you left your husband Jenny offered you a place to stay.
Growing up you and Jenny were inseparable. You were more like sisters than cousins. You were almost 2 years older than her, but you two were so close. You called her “Jenny bean” and she called you “Y/N/N”. You hated the name, but you loved her. So when you called her and told her you were leaving your husband she immediately told you to come there.
You walked in and the officer at the front greeted you. “Hello miss. How can I help you?” He asked. “Hi, I’m looking for Jenny Hoyt. She told me to meet her here today. I’m Y/N, her cousin” you smiled. “Oh yeah. She told me you’d be by today. Welcome to Montana. I’m Deputy Poppernak, but you can call me Pop.” You smiled and shook his hand. “It’s nice to meet you.” “Let me get Jenny for you.” He said as he stood. You nodded and took a seat.
A few minutes later you could hear her before you saw her. You stood and when she saw you she threw her arms around you. “Oh my god Y/N you made it! I’m so glad you’re here. Hey Pop do you know who this is?!” She said excitedly You smiled at her and said “we’ve been introduced and hey Jenny bean. Thank you for letting me crash at your place.” “Anything for you Y/N/N. Girl come on let’s get you some coffee and something to eat. Pop let Beau know I’ll be back if he comes in.” She said taking your hand and pulling you towards the door.
You climbed in her truck and she started towards the coffee shop in town. “So, Y/N what really happened with you and David?” She asked looking ahead. “I know it’s not what you told your mom. So spill.” You looked at your hands and fidgeted. “He changed. He wasn’t the man I fell in love with. He started drinking more and he started commenting about my weight and everything I did wrong. Then he….um…started hitting me.” Jenny gasped “oh honey. I’m so sorry. Did you ever tell anyone or document it.” “I took out a police report and they arrested him, but I didn’t have any marks that time. The arresting officers were buddies of his so I just dropped it. I know it was stupid. This past Christmas he broke my nose and my ribs.” “What?!? Is that why you didn’t go to your mom’s this year?” She asked. You put your head down and softly said “yes”.
She grabbed your hand and told you that you were safe and she was proud of you. You smiled at her and told her thank you. Y’all pulled in the parking lot and got out. She led the way and when she walked in everyone greeted her and she introduced you to several people inside. The two of you took a seat and looked over the menu. You decided on a vanilla latte and some eggs, bacon and toast. The two of you sat there talking and catching up while you ate.
On the way back she told you she was going to take the rest of the day off to help you get settled. She smiled and told you she was going to make sure you never had to see David again. Jenny pulled back into the parking lot and both of you got out. As you two walked back in you saw Pop and he greeted both of you. You smiled and said hello.
That’s when you came face to face with him. Walking around the corner was a 6ft 1” man with light brown hair, a perfectly trimmed beard and piercing green eyes. Your breath caught in your throat. Then he spoke. Damn his accent sent a chill through you. “Hey Hoyt where ya been” he asked Jenny. “Oh hey Arlen, this is my cousin Y/N. She’s moving in with me and just pulled into town. I took her for some breakfast.” She said as she stepped aside. The two of you made eye contact and he extended his hand. “Hello Y/N, I’m Sheriff Arlen, welcome to town. You can call me Beau.” He smiled. You extended your hand and said “Thank you. It’s nice to meet you Sheriff, er I mean Beau.”
“Okay Arlen, is it okay if I take the rest of the day off to help her get settled” Jenny asked. He shook his head yes while looking at you. “Y/N, I’ll be right behind you okay” she said. You said yes and started to head out the door. You turned around and said “it was nice meeting all of you” you looked right at Beau when you said it. He smiled and nodded. Oh god his smile. You felt your face flush.
When you walked out Jenny pushed Beau’s chest and said “your office, now.” “What’s wrong Hoyt?” Beau asked. “Don’t even think about it Beau. She just got out of a nasty marriage. Please don’t be another heartbreak she has to survive.” Jenny said. “I wasn’t thinking about anything Jenny. I was being polite” Beau insisted. “Okay Arlen. If you say so. Just please leave her alone” Jenny asked. Beau didn’t respond. He just looked at her. Jenny didn’t press anymore and left.
You were outside waiting. “Hey Jenny everything okay” you questioned when you saw her. “Yep. Let’s go home” she said. You got in your car thinking about the handsome sheriff and as you drove past the door you saw him standing there watching. You offered him a soft smile and he smiled back.
Later that night you were unpacked and hanging out with Jenny. There was a knock at the door and she got up to answer it. You heard voices and then she returned to the living room and someone was behind her. It was him. You smiled at him and he greeted you. “Hey Y/N. I wanted to officially welcome you to town. I brought some of Jenny’s favorite beer. Wasn’t sure what you liked but Pop said you and Jenny were like sisters so I figured you might like the same things.” He rambled. You stood up and took a beer and thanked him. He said welcome again and turned to leave. “Beau, would you like to join us” you asked. Jenny’s eyes went wide and she rolled them too. Beau looked at her and then at you. “Um I don’t know.” He said. “Oh lord Arlen, just sit down” Jenny sighed.
The three of you sat outside around the fire and chatted while drinking the beer Beau brought. When the beer was gone you and Beau switched to water and Jenny to wine. The hours ticked on as the three of you sat talking. Jenny was tired and said she was going to bed.
You looked at Beau and said if he was ready to go you would be fine. “I’m still trying to get used to the time change so I’m not really tired yet. I’m okay to be by myself if you’re ready to go home” you told him. “No, I’m okay for a little longer.” He said. You nodded and a pregnant silence filled the air.
“So, Y/N I’m not trying to get you to talk about anything you’re not comfortable with but Jenny said you just left your marriage. How are you doing? I’m recently divorced myself. Moved here actually to be close to my daughter. Otherwise I’d be back in Texas.” He told you. You put your hand on his arm “I’m sorry Beau. I’m sure it’s hard to be away from your daughter. That’s really sweet you moved here to be with her. That couldn’t have been easy.” You said. He smiled, looked down at your hand and placed his on top. “Thank you” he smiled. “Beau, I’m not completely comfortable talking about why I split up with him, but yes I did just get out of a messy situation. Thank you for your concern and maybe one day I’ll talk to you about it.” You smiled. “Fair enough. Just know I’m here if you need someone to talk to. I know you have Jenny, but it might be easier to talk to someone who isn’t family.” He told you. You nodded and smiled.
Beau looked at his watch and stood up “well darlin I better get going. I need to be up early for work. Thank you for the company.” He said.
You stood up and as you took a step you tripped and he caught you. His fingers brushed your skin and a fire broke out through your body. Your heart beat faster and you held your breath. He held you in his arms and you both held your stare. Beau started to lean forward and you leaned toward him. Before either of you knew what was happening your lips ghosted over his. Your hot breath mixing with his and he placed a soft kiss on your lips.
You kissed him back. The two of you pulled apart and smiled at each other. Beau ran his thumb over your cheek “so beautiful.” You blushed. “Good night Y/N” he said. “Good night Beau. See you later.” You walked him to the door.
Closing and locking the door you walked to your room. You sat on the bed and touched your lips. You’d never been kissed like that before and it scared you. Beau Arlen could be just what you needed, or he could be just another heartbreak. The question on your mind was were you willing to give him a chance.

No one really likes waking up early in the morning. Y/n particularly hates them. The way everything seems to be ten times louder, and the sun seems to want to burn him alive by one thin beam through the curtains. Not to mention having to leave his nest he nicknamed heaven. Today is one of the many days the Rose pack had to prepare for the yearly Wolf Moon festival, the day they celebrate the moon goddess. At this festival the pack invites everyone to the middle of pack to dance in their status themed outfits, and to hopefully even find a mate or a mate-pack to join. Each pack member has their own role in the pack; like being a farmer who knows what grows in each season and a gardener who helps grow the herbs which become our medicines and teas, or even a warrior who helps keep the outside dangers from sneaking in and causing hell.
The Rose pack is one of the many packs who chose to stay secluded in the woods like their past ancestors while everyone around stayed in big cities. Of course they had some technology, in order to keep updated with what was going on over the years etc. They just preferred to stay more the traditional way, unlike the city.
Y/n is a teacher for the packs pups ages one through two. Being an omega with his soft chocolate scent made it easier for the pups to leave their parents in the mornings and come to daycare. Not to mention he was naturally great with babies so working at the daycare came in no question to him. It made his mornings calmer, watching them learn, singing lullabies and rhythms. His job made his life less lonely, along with his best friend who was also an omega who went by the name Felix. Sure the other omega surprised him with how deep his voice was when they first met at the daycare, but that just made him love him even more. Y/n twenty-one years of age had yet to find his mate. Sure he dated once or twice but the relationships were never serious nor did they last long.
During his school years, he made a few friends but quickly found out they were using him for his looks to be popular which from then went downhill. They soon began to bully him and make up false rumors just to make people hate him so they could be liked more. They could care less about what the omega was doing as long as they got the attention from others for just being so called ‘friends’ with him. There was no doubt about it he was an angelic omega, never causing problems, always avoiding violence, and overall just trying to be kind to anyone who came across him. His father always told him, “The way you treat people is a statement of who you are. Just because they’re rude doesn’t mean you have to be.” As if Y/n even had the heart to try and be mean to someone without a purpose. His heart was far too sensitive to do that, which was another reason he was perfect at his job.
“Hey y/n, you know how i was talking about applying to the omega helper program for idols? well im coming over tonight and we’re apply out together, at the same time!” Felix spoke out excitedly while feeding one of the pups a sly smile on his face.
“Lixie what- no i cant you know i’ve never been in any big city we talked about this..” y/n sighed out picking up the youngest pup that was clinging to his leg. “i doubt ill even get paired because of that-” he spoke before being cut off.
“Nope none of that, you and me both know they favor those who came from secluded packs like ours” Felix stated calmly while cleaning up the pups who were being fed to be put down for a nap. Y/n knew there was no use going back and forth with his best-friend. They were both stubborn but when it came to going against one another Felix always won. “well just bring a set of clothes ooo and those candies you brought yesterday” the omega said with a small smile before getting back to work at rocking the pups to sleep while softly purring.
Carefully handing over the last pup who felt back asleep on Y/n’s chest to there parents with a gentle smile, he sighed in relief before gathering up his belongings and went to Felix who was waiting by the door already. “Someone’s excited it seems” he mumbled out with sass and locked the door.
“Well one of us has to be, it all gonna go fine trust me?” felix hummed out while holding y/n’s hand.
After stopping by Felix’s house so he could he a few things like cloths, his laptop, and the candies per Y/n’s request, the two omegas made their way to Y/n’s home. Stepping into the home they kicked off their shoes and immediately went into the bathroom together to shower. Both omegas were comfortable doing this as it came to no surprise to anyone as the had always been stuck together like glue ever sense they met. This also allowed them to unwind and groom one another, during this they would talk about anything they had on their chest no matter the subject. Once they were done washing and putting on one another’s clothes they made their way into Y/n’s nest with Felix’s laptop. Y/n let his bestfriend pull up the website while he sat in felix’s lap snacking on the sweet candies, “i mean i’m excited..but-”
“hey you’re perfect fine stop thinking so much okay? we are both gonna be okay!” felix stated as he could tell what the omega was thinking, while y/n watched the screen until it was his turn to apply.
Going through the application process was long but y/n didn’t expect it to go into so much detail meaning how it was promoted to be a ‘short and easy’. He was thankful his best-friend’s company otherwise he most likely wouldn’t even have completed it. Don’t get him wrong the beginning was simple and easy with questions such as entering his height, age, and personality.“Would you like to be paired with a possessive pack?..yes” he began reading the last five questions in his head as they were getting more..interesting. Meanwhile felix hugged his waist with a smirk as he watched the other omega fill out the last few questions, he knew what the omega would pick as they’d been friends ever since they presented. It was safe to say that the omega knew almost everything about y/n. “..remember once you submit this document you will be paired as soon as the same or next day, once again thank you for your time.”
Glancing back at Felix, Y/n took a deep breath knowing they could be leaving in the morning on a flight to South Korea from Australia to meet their paired pack. Being a helper omega their scents had to be compatible with the pack, this would make the helper be able to ease into the pack and do their job. They’re job is to make the packs life easier from the stress of being an idol. For instance cleaning the house, making breakfast, and scenting when needed ect. They would even be helping with upcoming ruts or heats any of the members had, but only if the pack included that aspect in their application when searching for a omega helper.
pov - at the jeong’s den
After finally finishing their performance it was safe to say the pack was exhausted, even when they were unwinding at their penthouse it was a mess. It had been months since they applied for a omega helper, they loved their only omega wooyoung dearly but being an idol made things harder on everyone. Not to mention how getting a helper who could deal with their rather interesting requests and requirements made getting one even harder. Research had proven that having a helper around eased the idol industry, there was less fighting between alphas which lead to a calmer beta. Beta’s were important they kept the peace but they couldn’t do it all.
This was why they came to the conclusion that having a helper wasn’t so bad. Although wooyoung was an omega he wasn’t the docile type. He loved taking care of others but he also loved the feeling of being incontrol, of being needed but being in a pack of alphas and betas made that hard. This is where the problem started, with a dominant filled pack there was bound to be unsatisfied needs. However it was the pack alpha, yunho who decided that they were going to finally apply. The aggressiveness between the alphas and omega was wearing the betas hongjoong and jongho out, so of course they took a vote six against two.
Which brings us to the present. The packs head beta was cooking breakfast when his phone started ringing, “hello, is there something you need?” hongjoong spoke calmly as it was the group’s manager. Their manager’s voiced loudly rang through the phone as he excitedly spoke. He had finally got the call from the company that was for omega helpers. “…you’re joking if you are this isn’t funny. do they speak korean? oh my god!”
Hongjoong’s scent had began to lightly flood the kitchen as he ran from the kitchen to the pack alpha’s room alarming the rest of the pack. “Yunho they found one, i really think this is the one! they already sent us the omegas file to look through were gonna meet them tomorrow!”
Sitting up the alpha just stared at the frantic beta before rushing to go through his emails, as he pulled up the file the rest of the pack started filling in one by one all excited while san and wooyoung stood by the door. “They won’t tell us their gender but everything else is here..” the beta said while grinning ear to ear as he began listing off facts about the mystery omega, “based off their height i think it might be a girl” yunho hummed out.
This news was big for them, ever since the BTS pack was able to find their omega they had doubted they’d ever find one fitted for them. After a long night of chatting and some smart remarks from their omega they planned out how to prepare for the initial meeting. Wooyoung and San had always been against the idea of getting a helper as they didn’t see the need for one, they didn’t want one. They didn’t want some random omega stinking up their place and ruining their pack.
The pack alpha would of course have to introduce a piece of his clothing before even meeting the omega face to face. This was to make sure they liked his scent before even introducing themselves in person so the omega had time to decide whether they wanted to continue or not. The process would be tedious but worth it in the end if they had really found their match.

Don’t fear the Reaper part 1
I got excited and wrote part one haha. Female character, swearing and COD typical violence throughout this series. Female x oc
A night at the pub goes awry, Ghost offers a helping hand, though that’s not the only thing you notice that night.
Don’t fear the Reaper, a popular saying about the inevitability of death. However, you were feared amongst many. You’d been with 141 for a while now and earnt your call sign ‘Reaper’, due to your extremely violent tendencies. There was nothing you loved more than watching the life drain from a persons eyes. The warmth of their blood on your skin. In fact you revelled in it.
On base those who didn’t know you, but knew of you gave you a wide berth. They felt uneasy. And honestly? You loved it. You loved making people feel uneasy, on edge. You kept to yourself mostly, preferring to observe and listen to your surroundings. You’d often be found either at the gun range, or on the mats sparring with some sucker who clearly had a death wish.
Tonight, however you were sat on the roof, dangling your feet over the edge like a child. You watched as you exhaled smoke, the sweet high of nicotine coating your lungs. The night was clear, stars peering down over you like silent protectors. It was peaceful, just how you liked it. That was until your phone vibrated next to you, a little soap emoji popped up. Smirking you rolled your eyes, wee Johnny, your closet friend here. His text was simple. Pub. Not a question but a command.
Jumping down you stubbed out the cigarette under your black boots and made your way down the stairs. Sending a kissy face emoji back to him. You swung by your room to freshen up, change of top, a swipe of red lip balm and a squirt of Baccarat Rouge 540. You slid your phone back in your pocket and gave yourself a once over in the mirror.
‘Reaper!’ He shouted excitedly down the hall, his accent thick and gravelly. God you loved his accent, any Scottish accent to be honest. ‘Hey Johnny!’ You smiled back, bounding towards him full speed. You hopped on his back as he made his way off base, you two were thick as thieves. But purely platonic, he had a girl back home he was planning on asking to marry him. You kept annoying him by asking to be his best man, constantly.
The pub wasn’t too far away from the base, a small country side pub which was normally filled with locals. Locals you had a love hate relationship with. Gaz, Price and Ghost were already there waiting for the two of you. They were all squished in a tiny booth, which looked ludicrous. Two chairs were placed outside the booth, at the end of the table ready for you.
The pub was warm and cosy, a stone floor and wooden beams adorned the ceiling. Pale white walls and a huge open fire in the centre, crackling in the background. Perfection. Two pints were already waiting for you by the time you arrived. ‘There they are! Take your fuckin time, Christ!’ Gaz greeted with a roll of his eyes. ‘Who put 20p in you this evening?’ Soap retorted, taking his seat. You followed suit, pulling your chair into the table and taking a sip of the amber liquid of the Gods.
‘Looks like you needed that’ Price laughed from behind his beard. You nodded ‘thirsty work making men submit all day.’
‘Not making em quit already I hope?’ Price asked taking a swig of his drink. Smirking, you shrugged, ‘not yet anyway.’ It was a well known fact you put new recruits through their paces during drills, especially sparring and close combat training. So much so that a few had quit mere weeks after joining, something you were quite proud of in fact.
Conversation and drinks flowed well into the evening. You stumbled back from the jukebox and eagerly awaited your song choice. ‘Better not be shit, I know what you’re like’ Ghost quipped. You feigned offence, ‘now sir, since when have I ever played shit. I am a woman of good taste I’ll have you know.’ He rolled his eyes before a small crease became visible in the outer corner. Fucker was smiling under that mask. You often wondered what his mouth looked like.
True Faith by New Order came on over the speakers, you flashed a grin to Ghost who met your gaze with some surprise. ‘Well?’
‘Hmm, not bad, I’ll let you off.’
‘Not bad?!’ You shrieked laughing, ‘this is a staple, an absolute classic. Pffft. Not bad. I’m offended.’ You swigged the dregs of your pint before standing, ‘my round lads, same as before?’ They finished off their drinks and a flurry of please and thank yous rang out among them.
The pub was busy, but wasn’t overcrowded, it was a nice atmosphere, relaxed. Putting the tray of drinks on the table you handed them out one by one. Handing Ghost his short of Bourbon his fingertips grazed yours as you passed him the glass. Normally this wouldn’t have bothered you, except he seemed to flinch. Looking up his eyes were already on you, burning through your mere presence. As you caught his gaze he looked away, desperately looking else where. Weird.
Evening turned into night, round two turned into three, turned into five. You were all starting to feel the affects of the alcohol, feeling merry and buzzed. You stood outside smoking a cigarette, taking a few minutes for yourself. Enjoying your own company until a group of men walked past, one deciding to try his chances with you. ‘Alright love? Nice arse you got there.’ You eyed him up and down, ‘thanks. Bit out of your league though a ain’t I?’ He approached your further. ‘She got a mouth on her this one. I like em feisty. Come back with me I’ll show you a good time.’
‘It’s a no from me. Keep walking, there’s a good lad.’ You pointed to the direction of the village. ‘Wasn’t asking, was tellin yah. Seems that mouth of yours needs putting to work.’ He came closer still, rage now rising in your blood. ‘I wouldn’t’ you warned, anger coating the tip of your tongue. ‘Or what?’ He squared up to you, pushing your buttons for a reaction, mashing them all together. ‘Or I’ll punch you so hard you’ll be shitting teeth for a week. Now. Fuck off.’ You stepped up to him, face to face, seeing the rage overflow from him. Clearly he doesn’t know what no means.
With him not backing down you offered one final warning. ‘Last chance. Fuck off.’ Scoffing he spat in your face, ‘bitch.’ And that was that, you saw red. Reeling back you planted a very hard Glasgow kiss on his forehead. As he stumbled backwards you pushed him, he fell to the floor with a thud. His friends then started shouting obscenities at you. ‘Oh fuck off. I’ll floor you n all if you want?’ You knew Price would have you for this, again. But you didn’t care, why should they keep getting away with it.
Due to the commotion the boys appeared at the door, seeing the larger men come to your aid the others ran off. Hoisting their confused friend off the floor and throwing him over their shoulders. ‘Think you’ve have enough love. We all have, back to base’ Price ordered. ‘He fuckin started it!’
‘And I’m finishing it. Ghost have a word, Soaps in the loo. Gaz grab her purse please mate.’
Feeling like a child you marched ahead to the base, furious at being shut down like that. With only a few short strides Ghost caught up to you and placed a hand on your shoulder to stop you. ‘You alright?’ Whipping round you looked up at him, seething, ‘do I look alright? I get harassed and yet I’m the bad guy? Fuckin Price. He can be a real arse sometimes.’
‘I know, but…’
‘But nothing. Do you know how exhausting it is to be harassed and still be made out to be the bad guy. That it feels like I should just sit back and take it? Fuck no. And fuck you if you think that.’
‘I don’t think that. None of us do.’
‘He fucking spat at me. Pity I couldn’t cave his fucking head in.’
‘He spat at you?! Lemme see.’
In your heightened state you’d completely forgot to even wipe it off your face. A string of saliva hung from your hairline to your cheek. Ghost cupped your jaw with one had and wiped away the offensive substance with the other. He’s patched you up before, but never touched you, like this. Gentle. Caring. You felt the flutter of a butterfly’s wing in your stomach, a pin prick of heat rose to your cheeks. ‘Thanks, sir’ you murmured softly.
‘Oi!’ A familiar voice boomed. Soap came running up to you, hands fumbling over you making sure you were ok. ‘Price told me what happened. Heard you head-butted the wanker. Gutted i didnae see it.’ You ruffled his hair, ‘well I can head-butt you? Then you’d know what it felt like.’
‘Fuck off Reaper. Come on’ he motioned for you to jump up for a piggyback, ‘let’s get you back before you assault anyone else.’
You jumped up onto his back and secured you legs round his waist. Turning back you saw Ghost was still watching you, nodding you offered a silent thank you. His touch still biting at your face.

It was a prominent rule for the merfolk never to approach the lands or humans. However, it did not stop some curious mers from coming to the surface, and coincidentally you just happened to be on the beach when certain members of the house of Fingolfin were swimming around.
Fingon
-He was swimming around the shores with his siblings and cousins, playing a game where they would try to spot a human on the beach. It was a harmless game since humans rarely showed around on the lonely shore.
-It was a bit disappointing since he always wanted to see and talk with a human despite all the stories and rumors he had heard as a youngling. He didn't believe all humans were evil and that there would be one human who would not wish to harm a mer.
-So, when he suddenly spotted you picking some seashells on the beach, he was excited.
-His siblings and cousins dived away when he pointed at you, leaving him confused and alone. Shrugging his shoulders, he decided to swim toward you.
-Fingon quietly sneaked toward you, hiding behind rocks and observing you humming a song and picking up seashells.
-He was fascinated as you looked and behaved nothing like a monster many described your kind to be. Your legs looked strange, and you looked happy when you found a seashell to your collection.
-Tempted to talk to you. Fingon thought about approaching you, but before he could do anything, he got stopped by his younger brother. His brother tried to convince him to leave in a hushed tone while Fingon tried to calm him down and keep his voice down.
-Without him knowing, you heard their voices from the rocks and decided to investigate.
-Fingon shushed his brother and looked over the rocks to check on you, only to find you standing right in front of him. You stared at each other for a moment, making him nervous, but then you smiled and greeted him with a friendly hello.
-He was encouraged by your friendly nature, and you two began talking.
-He did not know you thought he was just another human until he jumped from the rocks to get closer to you, and you saw his tail. He froze when you stared at his lower half with surprise, but then you began to marvel at his blue scales and fins, calling them beautiful.
-You excitedly asked questions, and Fingon felt delighted despite feeling embarrassed when you kept touching his tail and fins.
-You quickly became friends, and he helped you find more seashells by diving them from the seafloor.
-When he asked why you did not seem bothered that he was a mer, you told him your parents raised you to be respectful toward everyone, even those who are a bit more unique and strange.
-You also grew up with your grandmother's stories about meeting a mer before, so you were excited to know his kind truly existed.
-His siblings thought he was mad for talking to you, and he got an earful from his parents when he returned home, and they found out what happened. They grounded him for a week.
-However, Fingon could not help but come to the beach more often, especially when you were waiting for him. He suspected he would get grounded, so you didn’t mind that you had to wait a week to see him again.
-You two would tell stories and jokes about your kin. Fingon especially liked listening to all the rumors humans had about his people.
-You sometimes brought him sweets and fruits from the land since he was interested in trying human food, and he became addicted to the sweets and fruits. He especially liked watermelons, and you made a habit of bringing watermelons whenever you visited him.
-He was not fond of tart things like lemons and star fruits. They reminded him of the sour oyster soup he hated as a child.
-He enjoyed spending time with you, and as your friendship grew, he brought you a golden ribbon since you liked them and how beautifully they decorated his dark hair. It was your sign of friendship and no matter what, Fingon would always value you as a friend.
Turgon
-Turgon preferred to follow the rules, so he didn’t swim around the beach very often. He would keep his distance and not even think about approaching the shores unless he had to babysit his siblings and keep them out of trouble.
-He believed that humans were nothing but trouble. If that wasn't true, why would his father and all the elders keep telling that to him and all the other younger mers?
-He would not even think about talking to a human.
-One day, he was on babysitting duty, and one of his younger siblings was playing around too close to the rocky shores. He tried to scold them, only to get himself lost in the rocks.
-He was frustrated by his predicament, loudly rambling and complaining about his situation as he then decided to sit on the rock to bathe in the sun for a moment. He was unaware his rambling had caught your attention.
-You were curious when you heard someone talk since no one else visited the beach but you for your knowledge. You walked to the rocks to investigate and found a merman sitting on a rock.
-He was muttering something under his breath while you observed him, and when the muttering stopped, he turned to look at you. You stared at each other for a moment before he shrieked and swooped his tail hard to splash you with water.
-You got hit by the wave, and you stood there shocked and soaked with water while the merman silently stared at you. You then called him rude.
-Turgon was mildly panicking. He thought some of the stories of your kind were exaggerations, but he didn’t think of them as a joke. He picked one of the seashells you dropped and threatened to hit you with it like it was some sort of weapon.
-You tried to calm him down and explain you meant no harm.
-Turgon was not willing to believe you, but since you looked harmless, he toned down his voice but kept his distance.
-You two began to talk, and he asked odd questions like why you did not have razor teeth or green skin like some elders said your kind to have. It made you laugh when you asked why he believed that.
-You decided to tease him by telling how some humans saw the merfolk as vicious sirens who lured innocent sailors away. Turgon was offended by that, so he lectured you, resulting in some small banter between you two.
-You bantered mers being more dangerous than humans, while Turgon did the opposite.
-Turgon felt frustrated with you, but he was relieved that you were not aggressive or vicious like how the stories made you out to be.
-He was still weary of you, but he thanked you when you guided him out of that rock maze, and he disappeared beneath the sea.
-He tried to forget the whole thing, but he only got more questions about your kind and sometimes went to the shore to see if you were there.
-When you saw him again, you welcomed him with a smile and conversed with him.
-He learned more about humans from you, and his views on them being troublesome creatures changed just a little thanks to you.
-Turgon did not like to admit it, but he was getting comfortable with you.
-He tried to visit you just a bit, and sometimes you brought him human items and food for him to try.
-He wasn’t planning to eat anything, but when you pestered him, he decided to try and see if some of them were so amazing like you said. Some of them tasted plan, but he grew to like tea and the almond biscuits.
-He grew to like your company, even if you irritated him, but he was afraid to consider you a friend because of the rules of his kin.
-He did not know how his family and people would react if they found out that he had befriended a human, so he tried to see you little as possible and visit you for only educational purposes.
-He tried to limit his visits, so he would not get attached to seeing you because – Turgon knew deep down in his heart he cared about you like a friend, and it would break his heart to see you hurt if he suddenly stopped visiting you.
-So, he tried to enjoy it while he still could.
Aredhel
- Aredhel has always been curious about humans and never understood why she couldn’t interact with them. Of course, there were stories of how they used to attack merfolk and take their scales and tails, but those times were hundreds of years ago, so things should be different.
-She understood the rules, but she has always been a rebel. So one day, when she was hanging out with her cousin, she spotted you picking some seashells on the beach, and her mischievous nature tempted her to sneak up on you and try to scare the living soul out of you.
-It was troublesome to get closer to you, so she caught your attention and lured you toward the rocks where she was hiding, and when you were close enough, that’s when she made her attack.
-You screamed when you felt someone grab on your ankle, so out of flight instinct, you dropped your seashells and kicked the perpetrator’s face.
-Aredhel groaned when your foot made contact with her face, and she came out of her hiding spot with a swelling nose. You got angry and started angrily scolding her while trying to ease the bleeding from her nose.
-Aredhel was snapping back at you as you sounded like her parents until she remembered you were a human, and her tail was out for your view, yet you didn’t scream or do anything like the elder mers once told her how humans would react to a mer.
-You were pretty annoyed and agitated at that moment because all you wanted to do was pick some seashells and have a peaceful day, so when she asked about your reaction to her fishy tail. You told her you didn’t give a damn about her being a mermaid.
-You got her interest, so she tried to make you stay and talk with her more as you tried to leave.
-She nagged you so much that you snapped at her and asked if she would stop talking if you came to see her tomorrow.
-It made Aredhel excited, so when she went home and spent the night. She left upon the first light of dawn and waited for you at the beach.
-You didn’t plan to see her again. However, you didn’t like breaking promises, so you sucked in your pride and returned to the beach where she was waiting.
-Aredhel was excited to see you again and wanted to play games with you. You first refused to enter the water, but then she pulled you in, and you got soaked from head to toe. It made you pissed, but since you got soaked – you decided to hold it in and play whatever she wanted.
-Playing games with her was fun for a while, and then you began sharing some stories about your people, and Aredhel made you answer some old questions about humans and their habits.
-You thought her questions were weird, but you answered and brought some stuff from the land for her to see and try.
-Aredhel fell in love with the sour sweets and brought you some old human artifacts from her cousins’ old hideout so you could identify them and tell her what they do since not many in her home knew what they were.
-You didn’t want to admit it, but spending time with her was starting to get fun, and you enjoyed telling her what each item did when she brought them for you to see. It was like educating an excited child.
-You still thought she was annoying, but when she brought seals to the surface, and they were friendly, your thoughts about her being annoying vanished.
-You were excited to pet the seals, and their black googly eyes made you weak from the knees. They were like overgrown sea puppies, and it made you chuckle when Aredhel told you they were like their version of a hunting hound.
-You started to see each other more often. You sometimes brought Aredhel some food and stuff to see, and she brought you some items from her home.
-But sometimes, she liked to brag and bring her hunting trophies for you to see, and you had gotten several heart attacks when she suddenly picked up a giant squid or a shark from the water with her two bare hands.
-You were impressed but found it quickly annoying.
-She was no ordinary little mermaid, that’s for sure.
Argon
-Argon has always been wary of humans. The stories about humans hunting his kind and taking their scales always made his skin crawl, even if it was an exaggeration to keep young mers in check.
-Following Turgon's example, he avoided the land and anything related to the surface world.
-So, when he and his siblings were swimming around the shore. He was anxious to go home since he didn’t like to spend much time near the human beach.
-After playing hide and seek, his tail suddenly got caught in old fishing nets.
-He went into a panic, trashing and trying to call out for his siblings, but his call ended up gaining someone else's attention, yours.
-You were picking some seashells until you were startled by someone’s calls for help. They were coming from the rocks, so you thought someone got injured, and like a decent person, you dropped everything and went to investigate, intending to help whoever was in trouble.
- However, you did not expect to find a boy with a tail of a fish caught in old fishing nets.
-Argon panicked when he saw you and your legs. He began to pull harder and hiss at you threateningly. You tried to calm him down since his trashing caused the nets to make cuts on his tail and lose a few scales.
-You were taken back when he spoke to you in a threatening tone, but you did not mind and tried to convince him to let you untie him.
-Argon was hesitant, but since he did not know any other way to get free without injuring himself. He let you approach him with a strict warning. You tried to comply and carefully started untying his tail from the nets.
-Argon felt uncomfortable and weary as you used your fingers to open the knots and pull the threads away.
-When you finally got the last of the nets off his tail. Argon didn't waste time and quickly swam away. You were happy and sad for a moment since the encounter was short-lived, but you hoped he would return safely to his home.
-Argon’s siblings embraced him when they finally found him. They then panicked when they noticed the cuts on his tail and tried to coerce him to tell them what happened.
-Argon didn’t want to get into trouble, so he told them he was clumsy and got stuck in some nets, leaving you out of the truth.
-They were glad he was alright and finally decided to go home with him.
-However, the encounter did not leave his mind, and he thought about how calm and gentle you were with him. You were nothing like how he imagined humans to be, and he was intrigued even though he did not want to admit it.
-He sometimes came to the shore to see if you were there and when he saw you again. He decided to approach you.
-You were startled when you saw him, but you quickly smiled and greeted him. Argon felt reluctant for a moment, but he mustered the courage to return your greeting.
-You asked about his well-being and tail, and he felt courageous enough to tell you that his tail had healed from the cuts and decided to ask you some questions.
-You were calm with him and answered his questions even if they were odd.
-You asked questions about his people to keep it fair and when Argon felt comfortable enough with you. You two ended up talking throughout the day.
-Argon enjoyed talking to you even though he most likely shouldn't have because you were a human, and it was forbidden for mers to interact with humans. He shouldn’t even be there.
-You introduced him to human items and foods, and he grew to like the fruits and berries you brought from the forest. Apples and pomegranates being his favorite so far.
-He thought about returning the favor and bringing some sweets and foods from his home, which turned out to be too sweet or sour for you. You tasted a little cake but had to spit it out immediately because it was salty as the sea.
-Argon felt terrible about it, but you quickly brushed it off with a smile. It seemed the merfolk food tasted stronger than human food.
-He started seeing you more often, and you would always wait at the same shore with a smile.
-You sometimes go swimming together, and Argon enjoys bringing you to see some dolphin pods, which sometimes end up in playtime with them.
-Argon knew he shouldn’t do this, but he couldn’t help it because he grew to like your company. It was thanks to you his views on humans had changed.
-He was still weary of them when you told him some people were nasty by heart and would do anything for wealth and power. But he now believed there were good humans too.
Fingolfin
-Fingolfin was a stickler for the rules, so Turgon most likely got that from him.
-He felt weary about the humans and the surface world. He heard all the stories about how they used to hunt his kin thousands of years ago and how the surface world was full of strange creatures. And because of all those stories, he preferred to stay away from the shores.
-However, there were those times when he had to break the rules, and this time it happened on the shores.
-He was with Feanor, who had an odd habit of coming to the shore to think and sketch his new inventions and ideas for jewelry.
-He always felt uncomfortable watching the lands from the rocks, waiting for a human or something else to happen, so he tried to convince Feanor to come back with him. However, since his brother was stubborn as a shark, the two ended up in a banter that attracted someone’s attention.
-You were startled when you heard the two argue. It was loud and like something you would usually hear from two arguing siblings.
-You thought about leaving them alone since they were probably just two brothers having a banter, but when you heard them from the rocks and odd splashing sounds, you got curious and a little concerned. People usually avoid the rocky parts of the shore due to the currents and waves, so you decided to check if the two brothers were alright.
-Feanor and Fingolfin froze when they heard someone call out to them from the land. Feanor took a quick look, then dropped down, telling Fingolfin it was a human. Fingolfin panicked when he saw a frightened look on Feanor’s face.
-The younger mer asked what they should do, and Feanor snapped at him while trying to be silent, which led to another banter between them.
-When you got closer and called out to them again, the banter stopped.
-When you asked if anything was alright, you heard one of them answering and telling you everything was well.
-Fingolfin was silently panicking as he watched Feanor answering your calls and questions while the two hid behind the rocks. Interacting with humans was forbidden, and here – they were, talking to one. Their father was not going to be pleased about this.
-Feanor managed to assure you everything was well, and you decided to leave after making sure there was no emergency. You told them to be careful and call you if there was something since you were picking seashells on the beach.
-Fingolfin was marveled by Feanor’s coercion skills and anxious since you were not leaving the shore, so there was still a high risk of being seen. It was only by luck you thought they were humans and didn’t see their tails.
-Fingolfin tried to convince Feanor to leave, and he cursed under his breath when Feanor wanted to observe you like a rare fish.
-Feanor was quickly irritated by him, and the two snapped at each other while trying to be quiet, which did not work since you could hear them.
-You were confused when they talked about you like you were some rare animal, and you felt like something was not right, so you decided to investigate and silently sneak up on them.
-You were silent and careful when you sneaked behind the rocks. You used their banter to your advantage, and when you finally found them, you were stunned. You had never thought you would see a real merman, so you stared with shock as the two mers argued about leaving and observing.
-Fingolfin had no idea you already saw them till Feanor went quiet and stared at something behind him. When he turned, you three began awkwardly staring at each other. You were still trying to comprehend the realness of the situation, but when they saw you, it became an awkward silence.
-” Ummm…hi,” You waved.
-Fingolfin shrieked and swept his tail to splash you hard with water, and he succeeded as the force of the wave knocked you off the rocks. You yelped as the water hit you, and you dropped your seashells.
-When it was silent after your fall, Fingolfin and Feanor decided to check on you and found you knocked out on a rock, your seashells all around you. You were soaked, and it looked like sea stars were spinning above your head.
-Feanor then congratulated and told Fingolfin he killed you.
-Fingolfin could only groan at the remarks and asked what they should do since you were unconscious and it would be wrong to leave you alone on the rocks.
-Feanor suggested he should probably wait till you woke up, then proceeded to leave Fingolfin alone with you.
-Fingolfin cursed his half-brother when he suddenly got left alone with you. There was no doubt Feanor would tell their father and get him into trouble for breaking the rules. He could follow him and prevent it from happening, but he would leave you alone with possible dangers.
-He thought it was immoral to leave you, especially when you were unconscious and possibly injured by his mistake. Not to mention all the predators that could take the chance to eat you if he left you alone.
-He decided to go against all the rules and wait till you woke up, and it took some time before you finally woke up.
-You woke up with a terrible headache, and your seashells scattered all around you. You were confused and almost forgot what happened till you saw Fingolfin, and he explained what happened to you.
-You thanked him for watching over you and tried to have a small talk with him, but he was already leaving after apologizing to you for what happened.
-You were persistent in talking to him since you were excited and tried to make him stay a bit longer, which confused and unnerved him.
-However, when you spoke about some rumors and myths about the merfolk. It got Fingolfin’s attention, and he decided to ask about them.
-When he heard preposterous rumors and ideas about the merfolk, he was a little offended by some of the assumptions and decided to educate you on what was true and what was not.
-You listened as he told you about his kin, and time began to pass since he got caught up listening to you when you talked about your kin and confirmed rumors some mers had about humans.
-He was surprised at how pleasant it was to talk with you and how similar some humans were with merfolk. He was relieved when you told them the stories about humans hunting merfolk and scales were old stories of the past, and nowadays, humans don’t believe merfolks exist, so it was relatively safe.
-Fingolfin then panicked when he saw the sundown and realized he had overstayed.
-He quickly dived back into the water and bid you farewell, but when you asked if you would ever see him again – he hesitated. It was rather fun talking with you, and his views on humans had changed thanks to you, but there was still that feeling he should not interact with you.
-The rules were rules, and it was probably only for the best.
-When he told you his reasons, you nodded with understanding and thanked him for the experience of meeting him. You promised you’ll say nothing about him or his kin to other humans, not that anyone would believe you.
-You would have liked listening to him more about his kin, but if it was for the best, you do not talk to each other– you’ll not push it.
-Fingolfin was glad and trusted your words. You bid goodbye, and he returned to his home in Tirion.
-He got into trouble as anticipated, but after telling his father what happened and how he only stayed behind to make sure you were alright. His father was lenient enough to understand and let him go with only a warning, which displeased Feanor.
-Fingolfin couldn't forget about you for some time. You were curious and kind, unlike other humans and those he had conjured in his mind. You felt safe to be around, so he felt a bit disappointed by the rules for the first time in his life.
-He will be forever grateful to you because after talking with you, he was proud to say he knew more about humans than Feanor did because Feanor only knew what books and other mers told him. His dear half-older brother wanted to know what happened and what you told him, so he kept his mouth shut, and Feanor was left frustrated. It was enjoyment Fingolfin had not felt in a long time.
-However, like his brother. He would have liked to know more about humans from you.

My high-school worst enemy | Park Jimin ff part 6
Summary: Park Jimin was a jerk and you hated him your entire time in high school but what happens when he isn't the asshole he appears to be?
genre: angst and fluff.
warnings: swearing, a bit of bullying and violence.
author's note: this chapter is a bit long so please bear that in mind.
Stepping into the shit hole sham of a school, you go to your locker after biding Taehyun goodbye. He dropped you off today because Jungkook had to meet Lisa very early in the morning for a breakfast date. Wondering why he isn't in school? He has a basketball game at 9:30 am. He decided to use this opportunity to spend time with his girlfriend. Jungkook is probably groping her ass in the toilet while you're here stuck in an eight hour prison.
As you walked through the hallway you could hear whispers as girls shot you nasty looks. Isn't it too early to be bitches? Why can't people just mind their business instead of caring about others' lives? You hated gossip, this is the reason why you had very few female friends. Your phone started ringing, you checked the caller's ID and saw it was Jennie. You picked the call and smiled brightly saying hello.''Hey sis!'' She squealed excitedly over the phone. "I'm going for a sleep over after school at Karina's place. Mom is dropping me there and oppa is going to Yuna unnie's place so you will be home alone with dad." The twelve year old rambled cutely.
Karina was her best friend. They acted like sisters. Your mom and Karina's mom would take them shopping and buy matching clothes for them. Karina slept over frequently and vise versa. They looked so cute together and they reminded you of you and Jungkook when you were younger. "Okay Jen, thanks for informing me, love you and enjoy your sleep over, mwah!" You said grinning. "Love ya! bye!'' She shreiked.
After ending the call you went to your Calc class. You hated where you sat. At the front. How depressing. You couldn't fall asleep without the teacher finding out. It was annoying as hell. You sat down and decided to listen for your grades' sake. Two girls entered the class taking a seat behind you. You heard one of them gasp and whisper. Well just so you know, she is terrible at it. ''Is she Taehyun's sister? I should have known, they look alike.'' "Shh, do you want her to hear you?'' The other girl scolded. Too bad you already heard. They didn't know because they never asked. How the hell did they even find out?
Gosh, people did put glass cups against the wall just to listen to gossip. Great, now you were gonna walk around school for two weeks with people looking at you and asking for your brother's number.
This was how you looked if you're wondering. Credit to owner of picture.
It was your lunch break and you weren't hungry so you decided to go to the rooftop. You sat on the floor with your knees to your chest. You put on your headphones and played some calm songs from your playlist. "Coo ooh ooh ooh ool with you." You sang along feeling sad for no reason. You chose to read a book to burn time. Your alarm rang indicating that your lunch time was over. It was time for Science. Oh no. It's just one lesson right? You can do this. You said to yourself missing Jungkook's presence badly.
You made your way towards the classroom, greeting Mr Cha when you got in before taking your seat at the back. You loved Science because it was interesting to you and also because of where you sat. Shortly after Jimin came in as well. Did he really hit his head on something? He really is attending all his classes early. How strange. Seeing him also caused you to wonder why he liked your post on Instagram. Didn't he hate you? Maybe you were just the one who disliked him. Halfway through the lesson, you saw a small note land on your table. 'Meet me after school.' Why would he want to meet you to meet him after school? This was definitely a prank.
Mr. Cha reminds of your project and you groan internally. Is that why Jimin sent that note? Hell nah, he doesn't give a shit about school work does he? while packing up, you turn to Jimin and say "Don't worry about the project, I'll do it alone." "It's a lot of work, are you sure about that?" He asked in amusement. You fought the urge to groan out loud because you knew he was right. You tried convincing Mr Cha to change your partner but he wasn't having it. "You need to learn to socialize." He had said completely oblivious to the fact that he had paired you with your enemy. You stepped out of the class leaving Jimin's question unanswered.
The school bell rang telling everyone school was officially over. Students rushed out of their classes determined to leave school. Finally, you were escaping boredom. You were walking home today. Jungkook needed to rest after his packed schedule so he was taking the bus home since his car was broken. You chose to walk as a form of exercise since you've been sitting with a cramped butt and an aching back for the past hour. While walking a car stopped next you. You turned to your side and the driver winded his window down. It was Jimin, was he really serious? The note wasn't a prank? Damn it.
"What do you want?" You asked not in the mood to bicker. He arched a brow ''We have a project to complete, don't we?" He asked as if stating the obvious. Shit. You forgot. "Hop on, I'll drive you to a place we can start it." He said slightly tilting his head to the passenger's seat. Oh. You were taken aback by this.
Was he really offering you a ride? Wasn't he an arrogant jerk? You were gonna be bored at home anyway and the sooner it was started the quicker it would be completed. You walked over to the other side and opened the car door. You got into the car and looked at the scenery through the window as he was driving. The roads were pretty. It had lilies, roses and sunflowers. The silence was oddly comfortable. Weird. The car came to a stop, you were at the so called 'place.' You stepped out of the car and looked up. Oh. My. Gosh. It was massive. The house was HUGE!! "You live here?" You asked asked with wide eyes. You weren't born into a rich family but your family owed no debt and was stable finanncialy.
"Of course I do! Where else did you expect me to take you to?" He snorted. "What a show off." You scoffed. " Maybe a coffee shop or something. Not sure but definitely not your house." You answered rolling your eyes. ''Will you let me show you the way in or do you want to keep rolling your eyes till they get stuck behind your head?" He asked, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Fine." You muttered under your breath. When you got in your mouth and eyes widened in shock. You gaped at the sight of the living room. Damn, you felt broke. It was large and some walls were stripped vertically in black and white while some walls were plain black and white. Gold was everywhere, on the dinning table and chairs, The center table, it was everywhere. The photo frames on the sixty inches TV stand showcased the pictures of his family but one caught your attention. It was a photo of Jimin in a playground, he looked around the age of seven. He was grinning so wide his eyes were barely visible.
He looked happy, you've never seen him smile or grin like that before. There weren't many picture but you saw Rosè in two. How the hell did he know her? You bear that in mind for later. You came here to complete a science project. Focus. An elderly woman approached you both, she had a warm smile on her face. You assumed she was the senior cook. "Good afternoon Ahjumma, this is Y/N, my science project partner, you and all the maids can retire from the kitchen today." Your eyes popped out like sockets. The fuck. He really said Ahjumma. You had expected him to call her by her name. He even smiled warmly. Is this Park Jimin? The lady looked and you and her smile widened. "You are very pretty." you flushed from the compliment. She turned to Jimin and said " I will inform the maids." She bowed before leaving.
Jimin had shown you the way to his room. When you were in his room he asked. " What would you like to eat?'' What? Were your ears working? What the fuck is going on with him today?! "Stop looking at me like I said Beauty and the Beast is real, you are my guest and it's rude for me to not offer you anything." "You cook?" You asked genuinely surprised. "So you mean after all I have said you only figured I cooked? I'm an asshole but I was taught manners, so answer my question seriously this time. What would you like to eat?" He asked again.
"Umm, jjajangmyeon is okay." You said pretending to think. "Really. Just jjajangmyeon, you don't need anything else?" He asked slowly just to make sure. "Yes, just jjajangmyeon." When he left you used the opportunity to explore his room. It was huge but surprisingly vague. It wasn't full of flashy colors just grey, black and white. It had a few posters of famous basketball players and a shirt signed by one, you couldn't identify who, you weren't really into basketball. There was a walk in closet and a basketball hoop attached to the wall. His king sized bed was laid neatly and his PC and game controller rested on his desk.
He really was the opposite of what you had expected. No shit but he had the worst first impression. When he came back with the jjajangmyeon you had to stop yourself from drooling. The aroma hit your nose making you hungrier than you already were. You sat at his desk at the corner of his room. He took a seat beside you, handing the plate of food over to you. You take a bite and moan at the taste. It. Was. Delicious.
"So how is it?" Jimin asked curious. Was he kidding right now? It tasted amazing. "It's so good!" You say eating more. "Who would have known you were such a good cook?" You continued. "Oh baby, there are a lot of things you don't know about me."He said with his famous smirk. You cringed. "Don't call me that." You whined causing him to chuckle "And who knew you were so easy to tease?" He retorted playfully. "I still hate you!" You said half joking. "I know, look, it was fucked up, I was- I still am fucked up." He sighs. "It was a dick move and I'm sorry."
You. Were. SHOCKED. He apologized? All the times he'd poke and annoy you during lessons just because he sat behind you were all forgotten and all the hate you had for him had vanished. It felt like you already forgave him and you just couldn't forget it. "Wow, the great 'Park Jimin' invited me over, makes me jjajangmyeon and is apologizing for something he did two years ago! I really am lucky" You said teasingly.
His sigh deepens. ''I know it's late but-" You cut him off "I forgive you." "Really?" He asked shocked, probably at the fact that it was that easy. ''Look I was a bitch for hating you so long for something like that and you were a dick for what you did, I apologize, you better accept it." He laughs and throws his back at what you said but turns serious again. "You did nothing wrong, you had every right to hate me and yeah I forgive you, even though you did nothing." He said causing you to crack a smile he also mirrors.
"So umm friends?" He asked a bit sheepish. Your eyes were deceiving you right? "Friends." "Hey give me a hand shake!" Jimin said acting offended. "Oh you wish!" You snorted even though you were already shaking his soft hands. "So, do we start the science project now?" He asked. "Wait! After i finish this jjajangmyeon!" You said devouring the food again. "Sure." This was how your worst enemy became your friend. The real life example of the quote "Do not judge a book by it's cover." It just made sense to you now. You spent your time doing the project while teasing, laughing and joking around like crazy. Jimin was actually extremely smart. He just needed a little push.
You were halfway done and hella tired when Jimin asked an unexpected question. "Umm, I don't mean to invade your personal life but I can't help but ask. Was the guy you hugged at the event your boyfriend?" You blinked twice utterly confused before laughing. ''Boyfriend? no way, I've been practically single my whole life. That was my brother Taehyun." "Oh, I was just asking 'cause people said so- not like I care, right?" He rambled and you found it cute. Was that why he seemed angry that day? He said he didn't care so you payed no mind to it.
You decided to tease him a little. "Jealous?" You asked arching a brow. He turned a bit pink. Jesus fucking Christ. The bad boy Jimin, the basketball icon of the school actually blushed. He really was full of surprises. "No! Of course not!" He panicked yet his pink face said otherwise. "Besides, he has a girlfriend, her name's Yuna." "Oh." He replied still not fully convinced. His eyebrows were still scrunched in confusion and he had a broody expression on his face, almost as if he still wanted to ask you a question. You decided to make his life easier. ''Go on, tell me what you're thinking about." You said casually and his eyes were as wide as saucers. How the hell did you know? Was he being so obvious or was he just too easy to read?
"What about Jungkook? I mean you both seem close, like the kind of close that people wonder if you both ever dated." He says flushing in embarrassment. Gosh, he sounded so stupid. "Nah. His girlfriend is Lisa, we're that close 'cause we were friends since we were in diapers.'' You answer nonchalantly completely oblivious about his situation. "Really? Which Lisa?" "Lisa Manoban of course, which other Lisa do we know?" He was shocked, his eyes were definitely gonna pop out if he kept gaping. "You mean Lisa Manoban, the volleyball player?" "Which other volleyball player do we know that's named Lisa?" You asked genuinely confused at his confusion and surprise.
"She's my sister's bestfriend and she doesn't know. Oh hell no! This shit is messed up. Even the guys don't know. Crazy.'' He exclaimed. Wait. He has a sister? This time it was you gaping."You have a sister?" He smiled softly as if remembering something special. You found his reaction lovely. Their bond was definitely strong. "Yeah, Rosè, she's Lisa's bestie and they go to the same school." ''No wonder.'' You said voicing your thoughts aloud. ''Well the pictures downstairs were proof of that." Jimin said stating a fact. You were so stupid. You connected the dots and it all made sense.
''She's my friend as well, I'm the only one who knows about Jungkook and Lisa so you better keep this between us, okay?" "Sure." He said pretending to seal his mouth by smacking his thumb and index finger before swiping it across his lips. "Wow! Loads of secrets uncovered in one night,oh shoot! Time's gone. I think you should get going, we can complete this tomorrow or the day after." Jimin said. "If you say so." You mumbled, packing your things in your bag before biding him goodbye. You went home and had luckily sent a text to your dad saying you will be late. Maybe. Just maybe Park Jimin wasn't as bad as you thought he was.

I'm your huckleberry (Tombstone 1993) (Doc Holliday)
Description:
The joys of modern inventions and miracles are often taken for granted. Your hungry or thirsty? Get something from the fridge or make it. You need to go somewhere? Drive or call an uber. Your hurt? Go to the doctor.
Your bored? Watch a movie, play video games, watch videos on the internet, talk to people without ever leaving your house.
Some much time is in our hands... but back in the 19th century... you wouldn't last very long.
Diseases are rampant, gun violence is higher, no modern technology, barely any good medicine, almost all of your favorite food doesn't exist and most of the people are rude as hell. But... That doesn't mean all of them were so bad. Love was not something most people in this time really cared about. At least, in the town of Tombstone, Arizona.
After falling asleep with a nice looking stone you bought at a small stand at the carnival, your whole world becomes the opposite. Six people from the past discover you unconscious and alone in the blistering heat and offer help but it was their help that let you meet the most amazing man you've ever met.
John Henry "Doc" Holliday.
Chapter 5
Previous ~ Next
"Look out ladies" you yelled as you slammed the door open and entered the cottage, arms outstretched like royalty and being dumb on purpose. "I have returned"! The women laughed and the Earp brothers were right behind you. "Don't do that" Wyatt said like he was scolding a child, "You could break the door".
"I was careful" you said dismissively and then turned your attention to the wives. "Guess what girls! I got a date with a hot and sexy man! WOOP WOOP"!
"A date" Mattie asked.
"You know. When a guy asks you out and you both spend time with each other. You know". They understood and got excited "You did" Allie asked excitedly. "With who"?
"Doc Holliday"!
The woman were speechless in shock and confusion. "What's wrong"?
"Isn't he still with Kate" Louisa asked Morgan.
"Doesn't sound like it" Morgan said, "They were pretty stuck on each other".
"Who's Kate? His girlfriend or something"?
"If you mean lover, then yes" Morgan said.
"Oh". You said feeling suddenly upset and sat down on the couch besides Allie. Wyatt could see that this really did upset you suddenly and decided to share his input. "Believe me when I say this, (Y/n)", you looked over at Wyatt. "I've known him for a very long time. And I can promise you that he keeps his word".
"I hope so".
"But this is still wonderful" Allie said, "We need to get you a dress and-"
"I already told you guys that I hate dresses and I already told him that I won't wear a dress and he was ok with it. So HA"!
"Oh, come on, (y/n)" Louisa begged, "Will you at least let us do your hair"?
"So you can make me look like a discount Lady Gaga"?
"What" Morgan asked surprised and trying not to laugh.
"Nevermind. It's just another thing from the future". You turned your attention back to the woman. "I still don't think it's a good idea".
"Oh, come on, (y/n)" Louisa begged, "Your hair is so beautiful, you have to do something to it at least".
"Really" you asked carelessly. "Watch this". With their attention on you, you flipped your hair around stylishly and looked back at them to say, "That's style right there". Morgan tried not to laugh.
"Oh please, (Y/n)" Allie begged and stood up, "Let us do your hair. If you won't wear a dress then let us do your hair at least".
"That won't matter" you said, "It wouldn't look right with what I'm wearing and I would look even stupider than I already am".
"You don't look stupid, but please let us do your hair" Allie asked.
"I'm sorry but no" you said genuinely. Allie and Louisa sighed sadly and knew that they couldn't convince you. "Very well, but you'll have to make it up to us at some point" Allie said.
"Alright. You have a deal. But for now, I got to kill time. So I'm gonna play some games on my phone". You went and sat down next to the girls and the Earp brothers walked over to see the small device in action once again. The small device was illuminated with bright colors and they couldn't follow along with what your doing.
They couldn't watch for long since the ladies had to figure out what to wear and you pulled out your solar panel charger to charge your phone for awhile until night finally came and Doc came to the cottage to walk with you all. It was a bit cold outside and you didn't mind since you do enjoy cold weather. You walked alongside the Earps and their wives and Doc offered his coat to you to keep you warm and you accepted even though you didn't need it. As you all walked in, there were a lot of cowboys taking up the benches on the ground level but the Earps told you that they were going up to the birdcage balconies to have better views.
As you all sat down, Morgan and Virgil and their wives had their own booth and you with Doc and Wyatt with his wife had your own booth, you admired the whole theater. It was so nostalgic and enjoyable to look at. "I've never been to a live performance before".
"I'm assuming it's different in the future" Wyatt said.
"You have no idea. I can show some of them to you guys later".
"Here darlin'" Doc said as he took his coat off your shoulders and gently guided you to the seat closest to the balcony. "Sit here".
"Oh why thank you" you said sweetly. Doc slipped his coat back on and gave you a brief smile and sat down beside you. "Wyatt" a voice said from beside Doc. "I'd like you to meet Mayor Klump and his wife". It was Fred White. Wyatt stood up and shook the mayors hand. "Mr. Earp. Your reputation precedes you". They retracted their hands. "I was wondering if you might be--"
"Not a prayer. Nice meetin' you" Wyatt said dismissively and sitting back down. The Mayor and his wife looked at each other awkwardly before turning to leave to go back to their seats and with Fred White leaving as well. The sounds of a drum were heard which signified that the theater was about to start. The curtain was pulled up to reveal a man with three wooden pins and dressed nicely. He bowed and you all then hear one of the cowboys say, "Professor Gillman? Oh, I seen him in Bisbee. He catches stuff".
"Hey professor" one of the cowboys stood up his gun drawn and aimed at Gilman. "Catch this". He fired at him and shoot one of the pins and said pin exploded. Gilman was shocked and ran off stage exclaiming they were shooting at him which made the cowboys laugh. Another man walked out onto the stage wearing a black robe and two men helped set the stage. All it was was placing a 5 ft. fake marble pillar and the other man replaced the sign on the stand saying what the next act is. "Prettiest man I ever saw" one of the cowboys said laughing.
The man on stage whipped his robe off dramatically and revealed him in a white unbuttoned shirt and red tights but also with red and black stripped flows and black boots. The cowboys cheered for how he looked and the man spoke. "Ladies and gentlemen, the st. Crispin's day speech from Henry V. To set the scene-"
A cowboy shot at the pillar and it startled you that you quickly grabbed Docs arm for safety and you quickly realized what you did and let go. Doc smiled and said, "Nothin' like a beautiful woman to hold me for comfort".
"I'm sorry" you said quietly and while the man on stage was saying his speech. "No reason to be" Doc said and then gently squeezed your hand, "I'm right here if you need protection". You smiled back at him and went back to watching the show. "... Gentle his condition. Gentlemen in England now abed shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap, whilst any speaks who fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day"!
The cowboys were first to applaud the performance and even started firing some of their guns into the ceiling and the rest of you applauded as well. As the man walked off stage and someone took the pillar off stage, another man went on the stage to change the sign for the next performance that read, "Faust or the devils bargain". The sound of the violin was heard and music to set the scene was played and it sound interesting. Another curtain was pulled up to reveal an old man at a desk and another man wearing what looked to be old victorian mens clothing but he also wore a devils mask.
"Now what in the hell is this" one of the cowboys asked confused.
"Th- that's Faust. H- he's gonna make a deal with the devil" someone replied.
Doc leaned in close to you and asked, "Is your soul for sale dear"?
"Nope" you said plainly but then looked at him to say, "My soul is claimed". Doc looked at bit confused and asked as the play was going, "By who"?
"Oh, I dunno" you said teasingly but then said, "Maybe you". Doc smiled and scooted closer to you. The play continued and it wasn't making any sense to you so you just watched it with a blank stare. "Know what I'd do" a cowboy said and it got your attention. "I'd take the deal, then crawfish and drill that old devil in the ass".
All the cowboys started laughing and so did you but you tried to hide it. Both Wyatt and Doc looked down at the cowboys in disapproval at how they were acting but when Doc heard you laugh, he couldn't help the smirk that appeared on that handsome face of his. The play continued until the music stopped and the act ended and everyone started applauding. "Very instructive" Doc said.
The actors came out and bowed to thank them but the devil actor wasn't on stage. "But who is the devil" Wyatt asked. More music was heard and the devil came out quickly to remove his mask to reveal that it was actually a woman. The same woman that you all saw wearing the grey dress with the orange umbrella from earlier in the day. She looked right up at Wyatt, who had the look of shock, and smiled right up at him in a flirty fashion. "I'll be damned" Wyatt said.
"You may indeed, if you get lucky" Doc said to Wyatt. As the performers walked off staged, everyone got up to leave. "Oh" you said getting the people around you their attention. "It's over already"?
"Yes ma'am" Wyatt said as he stood up and helped Maddie stand up and Doc doing the same thing to you like a true southern gentleman. As you all exited the theater, you all met outside with Morgan and Virgil with their wives. All the cowboys had headed to the saloons for drinks and since the streets were pretty quiet, Morgan asked, "What'd you think, (Y/n)? Was it better than what your used to"?
"It was... Different" you said with Doc holding your arm so properly and like a gentleman. "You still gotta tell me how things are from where you come from".
"I will. I promise".
Morgan smiled and looked up. "Would you look at all those stars? I mean, you look up and you think "God made all of that, he still remembered to make a little speck like me". You all started to walk forward into the street. "Kinda flattering, really. Wyatt, do you believe in God"? Wyatt just shrugged, he wasn't sure how to respond. "No, come on, really. Do ya"?
"Yeah. Maybe" Wyatt said. "Hell, I don't know".
"Well, what d'you think happens when you die" Morgan asked Wyatt.
"Somethin'. Nothin'. Hell, I don't know".
"Well I read this book, a book on spiritualism".
"Oh God. Here he goes again" Virgil said tiredly and sarcastically which made you chuckle.
"Said that a lot of people when they die, they see this light. Like in a tunnel".
"Yeah"?
"They say it's the light leadin' you to heaven".
"Really" Wyatt asked in an interested tone, "What about hell? They got a sign there, or what"?
"I know what it is" you said getting their attention. "If you see a light, you go to heaven. If you see me, you go to hell". They all broke out in laughter and Allie reached over to gently smack your arm. "Hey, (Y/n), goddamnit. I'm serious" Morgan said regaining his breath. That joke really made him laugh hard. "You have such a dark sense of humor" Doc said. He also laughed at the joke.
"Well, what can I say? I'm crazy and fun to be around"! They all agreed and Doc smiled in agreement. He really was enjoying your company. "Comin' to the Oriental, Virg" Wyatt asked.
"Not tonight" Allie said. "Tonight, me and my old man are gonna have some fun". Morgan and his wife bid their goodnights to each other. "Come on, get movin', old man".
"Maiden name was Sullivan" Virgil said and then Allie smacked him with her scarf and after another kiss, Louisa walked off to catch up with Allie and Virgil. "You two better go with them" Wyatt said to you and Mattie.
"Nonsense" Doc said to Wyatt. "Stay with me darlin'. I want to learn more from you".
"Ok" you said sweetly.
"Please stay with me" Mattie pleaded to Wyatt.
"Well, honey, I-I gotta get to work". Mattie look defeated and just said, "All right".
"Well, wait a minute. I guess I don't have to go right now. I could stay awhile".
"No, no. I don't wanna keep you" Mattie said and then reached for something. "No, really" Wyatt said encouragingly, "I can stay awhile". Mattie pulled out a small dark glass bottle and took a drink. "That the bottle Lou gave you" Wyatt asked.
"Yes, it is" Mattie said getting a bit defensive.
"Maybe you should see a doctor" Wyatt suggested.
Mattie scoffed and said, "Wyatt, it's just headaches".
"You know the best thing for headaches is sleep, right" you said. You would've said pain relievers but you had remind yourself where you were currently at. Mattie just brushed you off but Wyatt backed you up. "See" Wyatt then got a bit quiet, "You should listen to her. She knows more than we do. You should rest".
"She doesn't get it. She's not from here, she wouldn't understand".
"I can learn" you said genuinely. Mattie once again ignored you. "I know what I'm doing, (y/n). I don't need to see a doctor"!
"All right, honey. Ok" Wyatt said trying to calm her down.
"Just go" Mattie sighed. "Everything's fine, Wyatt. Work well".
"All right" Wyatt said and then leaned in to kiss her cheek which didn't look like it satisfied her. "Good night". As Mattie walked away, Wyatt said, "You look beautiful tonight". Mattie looked back and scoffed, "Thank you" and just continued walking away. You and Morgan said goodnight to her but she only acknowledged Morgan and not you and that upset you. Why was she being mean? "Hey" Morgan said getting your attention and also seeing that Matties attitude kinda upset you. "Don't worry 'bout it. Come on, let's go have some drinks. You are old enough, right"?
"Shut up, Morgan" you said playfully which made them happy to see you smiling again. There was something about your smile and personality that really made them feel happier to be around you. Doc especially. "You two go on ahead to the Faro table" Wyatt said to you and Morgan. "I gotta talk to Doc for a moment".
"Alrighty" Morgan said and then looked at you, "Let's go".
"COME ON"! You both raced inside like children and both Doc and Wyatt were still outside. "Wyatt"?
"Doc? I really have to ask". Wyatt was nervous to ask this question and knew he couldn't ask this question with you around. "What happened to Kate"? Doc sighed and took a drink from a flask he had in his coat. "I sent her away" he said plainly.
"Why"?
"Oh, I suppose it had something to do with the fact that she saw me more as a meal ticket than her lover". Wyatt could understand this and only nodded. "But with her" Doc said mentioning you, "I can tell that she cares more".
"You two just met today" Wyatt interjected.
"I know, and so did me and Kate when we first met. I thought we were meant to be but I then saw through that false image pretty quickly". Doc took another drink from his flask. "I had nobody else and I just dealt with it. But now, it's different. She's different".
"Well" Wyatt said chuckling, "She is from the future".
"It's not that, Wyatt. I don't know what it is" Doc said having a million theories running through his head. "I don't know".
"Well, maybe you'll find out soon. Cause for now, she's stuck with us. You'll have time to think that through" Wyatt said walking alongside Doc to go inside. Everyone from the theater was inside and they saw Morgan setting up the Faro table and you standing beside him. As they made it over, Doc was still trying to think about what it was about you that really made him feel like you were the one for him after meeting him for the first time today.
He wasn't sure but he knew he needed a drink and to be beside you.

Chapter 12: looking upon a monster
TRIGGER WARNING: THIS CHAPTER INCLUDED MENTIONS OF SELF HARM, ABANDONMENT, SELF LOATHING, AND INCLUDES A MENTAL BREAK DOWN THAT LEADS TO VIOLENCE.
[Normal pov]
Shortly after landing I called Archer and arranged a black S.U.V. arranged to pick up Steve, Irving and I. Archer advised me that given the location it would be about thirty minutes to pick us up from the private airstrip.
"So where are we staying Ms. Lancaster?" Irving asked holding a black and silver case with a Tricell logo on it.
"Oh, my apologies Mr. Irving I forgot to inform you of the arrangements. We will be staying at the Pheonix Core hunting lodge. It's a four-star lodge with full accommodations and to mention it is the location of one of my contacts." I spoke with sincerity.
"Wow, that is better than what Excella normally arranges." He states excitedly.
"I had hoped so. The lodge is a remnant of my teacher's legacy. It should be more homely than a Holiday or Hilton inn." I spoke exhausted from the plane ride and sat on the blacktop.
"Alistar are you okay?" Steve asked.
"Yea just a mix of jet lag and exhaustion. I hate planes." I said shaking my head, " I know they're safe but I never feel right after getting off one.".
"Where are we anyway?" Irving asked starting out at the trees in a distance.
"A forest in the southeast part of Ohio, just over two hours from our transaction location. The lodge is tucked away in the forest. This is a private airstrip from the days the Umbrella facility was active." I spoke pointing out the lights in the distance, "That area is the biohazard zone."
Steve looked very concerned, "Why is the lodge so close to it?"
"Who better to keep it on lockdown than the people my teacher trained to handle B.O.Ws and outbreak situations. If a biohazard were to happen the Pheonix Corps would mobilize." I said.
At that point, everyone went quiet as a loud howl pierced the silence.
"It seems I may need to have Archer started on that. After all the Ohio base is the one Wesker sent us to, maybe he knows something they don't." I stared out into the forest.
"You keep bringing up Pheonix core and Pheonix corps. Just who the Hell are they?" Irving asked, "I've never heard of them."
"That's by choice." A thickly accented voice said stepping from black Escalade, "Ms. Tabitha wanted to be sure we weren't found by the Connections, the Simmons family, anyone who would want to harm her. She gave her self up to Umbrella by returning to Raccoon city after the mansion incident. She had us up and running after using the money she saved to open a chain of pastry shops and a motel. We were privately funded by a trust she set up without Sergei's knowledge and our profits.
An Indian man in a dark blue collar shirt with swept-back black hair with matching blue lowlights now stood in the headlights. This made me smile in relief. The person who stood there was Archer.
"Archer! You startled me." I smiled pushing myself up and dusting my ass off.
"Ms. Lancaster, I'm relieved to see you unharmed. Is the Angelis stable or do I need to escort you to the lab when we arrive at our destination." Archer look concerned seeing me exhausted.
"No, no I'm alright. I just need some food and some rest. I FUCKING HATE FLYING." I said exhausted, "Sigh, Archer please assist Mr. Burnside and Mr. Irving with loading the cargo. I need a quick rest. We can address your concerns once we arrive, I promise."
"Alistar are you sure you are ok?" Steve asked lifting a large cache case.
"I'm sure, it's just jet lag." I said walking over to the S.U.V. and hoping in the driver's seat.
Steve and Archer looked at each other clearly concerned for me. I was anxious about the state of the nearby forests. Those howls were of Cerberus without a doubt there was activity from the base.
While Archer helped out Mr. Irving and Steve, I decided to make a call to Wesker.
Ring...Ring, "Wesker here." He spoke.
"Agent Lancaster, reporting in sir. We have landed and are heading to the lodgings." I spoke direct and pointed. I was letting my training I received from Sergei show.
"Ah good, Ms. Lancaster I was expecting your report. Ms. Gionne told me she had arranged two suites at a Hilton inn near Pittsburgh is that your destination." He inquired.
"I don't know what you're talking about. Ms. Excella never told Irving, Steve or me about this. Mr. Irving even said that he was told and I quote "That filthy mutt doesn't deserve to use my connections." Do what you will with that, it's not my place to say my thoughts on the matter." I stated as the trunk opened.
"Then where are you located?" He sounded furious.
"Sir calm yourself, we are about two hours and eleven minutes from the deal location and we have full accommodations. Two suites and a personal room for myself, at no charge and off of the books for them." I stated point blankly.
He stopped himself and breathed deeply, "How did you manage..."
"My teacher had deep ties and even deeper pockets. It's the hunting lodge she opened just after the mansion incident. It's her staff that run the place. It's in a forest in Ohio near an old Umbrella lab." I spoke, "Pheonix Core Lodge, location of the Pheonix Corps."
Dead silence from the other end of the line. I had a feeling dropping Pheonix Corps in the conversation peak his interest. The name was bare known of and even more sparsely discussed. What Archer had said was mostly accurate. Ever since Sergei died I mentioned it to a lady named Jessica who I had cornered after Chris told me of her.
"Seems she still manages to still remain prevalent after all these years." He sounded very contemplative over what he just heard.
"Is there something wrong sir?" I asked switching my tone to a more soft pitch.
That shook him out of it, "No I was just thinking that other connections she has. Report before the deal the equipment I've provided Steven with will allow me to view the mission through a point of view camera in the headset. I want to make sure I haven't made a mistake by not just killing you two months ago."
He hung up after saying that and it made me go numb. That tone was terrifying and I had heard it before. When he shot me in Russia. I must work harder to gaining his trust. If I didn't everything will fall from underneath me not him.
"Hey Alistar you're looking very pale are you sure you're ok?" Steve got in the passenger seat behind the driver's side.
"Huh oh, yea I'm fine just reported into Wesker. Hell has no fury like a superhumans scorn." I chuckled wiping the newly formed sweat from my brow.
Irving soon got in and Archer followed suit. He started the engine and drove off. He offered a couple of water bottles to us. We declined and the rest on the ride was silent. Steve was reading a book and Irving was on his PDA.
The drive was relatively short thirty minutes max since we used the private route. One of my orders for Juna was to make sure we had private access to this strip. As much as I hate Umbrella, the funds that came from Albert's life insurance is what started this. A benefit from Umbrella...I'm such a fucking hypocrite sometimes and It sickens me. Archer makes it seem like it was money I earned by saving and giving up on my dreams to save the world. When in all honesty what I wanted to have a place to heal and the money from my husband's supposed death made me feel sick.
Looking off into the forest I shivered at a passing thought. This forest reminds me of the Arkley forest, where it all began. Juna looked over to me. I must off been wearing my heart on my sleeve because he grimaced as he did.
"We can talk in my room later Archer. I can tell something is on your mind, but this isn't the place." I said staring straight ahead.
"Understood Ms. Lancaster, I'll speak with you later then." Archer stated and refocused on driving.
The rest of the drive was silent.
-------------MEANWHILE (Wesker's P.o.V) -----------
I was sitting at my desk reviewing some files Ms. Lancaster brought. It was regarding Tabitha and how her mental state was affecting the Angelis Virus. The correlation between the mutations and her anxiety levels were fascinating.
The notes that were there explained Sergei had obtained her and infected her during a psychotic breakdown. The date that was notated for her capture was September 20th, 1998. Which didn't quite match with what Tabitha said in her first log. This made me want to dig deeper. There was a file attached to the notes. It was called NEST CCTV footage 748 before exposure.
"Might as well," I muttered to myself clicking on to the link. It took a few moments for it to load when it loaded it showed Tabitha walking out of the NEST main elevator and being surrounded by an armed forces team. She was wearing a large jacket and was armed to the teeth; however, blood was dripping off her hand.
"Mrs. Wesker, why are you returning? You were instructed never to return unless called upon by Colonel Sergei!" an armed man shouted pointing his assault rifle at her.
She laughed, "Why I'm here to see Dr. Birkin, He has some explaining to do regarding my deceased husband. Now let me through or else."
She stepped forward and the team trained the sights on her chest, "That's not happening now turn around!" the man shouted.
"That is how you want to handle this? That's fine. JUST DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YA FOOLS." she shouted flicking her thumb over a small black plastic item.
She rolled past them and the screen flashed. Shortly after that, it was clear she rigged C4 to the elevator and used the blast to take out the team. When the screen went back to normal it showed four armored bodies scattered and strewn about.
The film switched to show her storming down a hallway the jacket now completely gone more than likely destroyed in the blast. What she was wearing underneath was her U.B.C.S gear and bandages around her wrists which was the source of the dripping blood. The feeds changed again showing her approaching Willam and Annettes lab.
"Tabitha, What are you doing here? I checked on you a few days ago." Annette said walking out and looking concerned.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY ANETTE! I AM NOT HERE TO TALK TO YOU! WHERE IS WILLIAM!?!" she shouted.
"Then why are you here?" she stepped backed looking terrified, "And why do you need William?".
"DON'T PLAY DUMB WITH ME! DO YOU ALL THINK I AM A MORON!?!" Tabitha shrieked lividly clawing at her left eye, "I'll only ask one last time. Where is Willam?".
"Anette, What's going out here? What's with all the shouting?" William walked into view of the camera probably walking out of his lab, "Oh, hey T how are you? You seem more well kept today are you finally starting to get.."
Tabitha pulled her Samurai Edge out, quickly fired a round at Willam and pointed the gun at his head, "That was a warning shot and it is the only one there will be. NOW, WHERE IS HE WILLIAM? WHERE IS ALBERT?!"
William looked shocked at the way she was acting and went pale, "Anette go, I can handle this. What are you talking about T? He is dead you know that as well as I!".
She walked up to him and kicked him square in the shin as Anette ran off and he fell on to his knees, "DO NOT LIE TO ME, I SAW WHAT YOU AND HE HAD PLANNED. I SAW THE PLANS TO USE AN EXPERIMENTAL VIRUS INCASE SHIT HIT THE FAN. I SAW THE PLANS FOR BOTH TO JOIN THE US GOVERNMENTS B.O.W TEAM. I WILL ONLY ASK ONE MORE TIME!" she cocked her gun, "WHERE THE FUCKING HELL IS ALBERT WESKER!?!".
He looked stared at her feet his hands up, "You looked in our private files from just before the Mansion incident then." William sighed, "Yes that was the plan. Spencer gave me the virus. I was supposed to hear from him by yesterday. I haven't. T stop this, this isn't what Wesker would want! You meant the world to him. He wouldn't want you to do this. He never would intentionally try to hurt you! "
"DO WHAT!?! GO INSANE!? OR MAYBE HURTING MYSELF!? IS THAT WHAT YOU MEAN!! NOT TO MENTION IT DOESN'T MATTER IF HE TRIED TO HURT ME OR NOT!! THE DAMAGE WAS DONE!! I HAVE NO ONE LEFT!! YOU AND ANETTE KEEP YOUR DISTANCE FROM ME!! MY OWN BROTHER AND SISTER BLAME ME FROM THE LOSS OF OUR FRIENDS!!! EVEN I THOUGH I LEFT UMBRELLA IN '93!!! THE REST OF MY FRIENDS THINK I AM A MONSTER AS WELL!! I KNOW I CONTRIBUTED BUT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE THE ANTIVIRUS!!! I DIDN'T MAKE THE B.O.Ws!!" Tabitha cried out dropping to her knees and holstered her gun, "I have nothing left and it's due to my old association with Umbrella."
William stood up and wrapped his arms around her and embraced her in a hug, "I'm sorry we kept our distance we thought to help by separating you from Umbrella more than you were now. I'll keep you safe."
That was when she went limp, "Unfortunately, Dr. Birkin that is not your place." a familiar thick Russian accent was heard. Sergei walked in to frame with Anette as well as an Ivan.
"Colonel Sergei What did you do!?!" William shouted worried holding Tabitha's limp body which now appeared to be foaming at the mouth.
"Taking care of a loose end Dr. Birkin. Just look at what she did to you, to your wife, the facility, even herself." he removed the bandages from her arms revealing deep gashes barely starting to scab traveling up her arm, "It is surprising she even made it this far. Clearly, She was on the warpath and going to bring everything down that she felt was in her way. The medication will make sure she passes from blood loss soon enough."
"But sir!" William shouted.
"No buts Birkin, these were Spencer's orders and nothing you say can change them." Sergei motioned and the tyrant picked up her body and walked out of frame. Tabitha's blood slowly dripping from the wound, "Ivan is taking her body to a gurney over by the medical elevator if you want to go make peace with her I would do it now. It is the last time you will see her.".
The feed ended. That was the last contact Tabitha had with anyone before Sergei had captured her. Vladimir noted he had used a drug to the heartbeat to a near standstill. Which not only slowed her bleed and convinced both Dr. Birkins that she had passed. Sergei had her wheeled to a medical helicopter and placed on life support for transport to the Caucasus facility. Where she was injected with the experimental Angelis virus and kept in a cryo tank until October 5th,1998.
On the day Sergei woke her, her eyes had changed to a striking blue with a bright grey outline and slitted pupils. Her body had accepted the virus. What the Colonel did expect was that was her mental state was the same as it was when she burst into NEST. Her nails turned into claws and her hair turned a ghost white.
Vladimirs last notes made pissed me off, "She is now the monster she always she feared she was and that is never going to change now."
I turned off the monitor and took off my sunglasses. Looking upon my reflection in the computer, I felt my anger rising. These irises nearly matched how Vladimir described Tabitha's eyes, the only difference was that the colors were on the opposite end of the spectrum. While hers were blue and a silverish in color mine were reddish-orange and gold in color.
"Is that what I am looking upon then. Are these the eyes of a monster then?" I let out a chuckle, "For all I see Is a God.".

Ch. 2 of "Over My Head"
Enji Matsushita × Reader
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter [WIP]
Warnings: Swearing, blood, abuse, neglect, violence
Hope you guys enjoy this chapter <3
You smiled at him. "So what are you planning on doing with the psychology degree?" He asked. "Well, I wanted to do Criminal Psychology. I've always been interested in it, so why not?" You responded. "How about you?"
"Hypnotherapist," he mumbled, a bit nervous about what you would say to that. "That's so freaking cool!" You exclaimed. He smiled softly. "Really? You're not just being nice are you?"
"No, really I think it is so cool! So tell me about that?"
-----------
That had been almost 5 years ago. Now, you were both doing your respective careers. Of course you kept in touch, but it wasn't like it had been all those years ago.
Matsu♡: Hey, do you have time this weekend?
(N/N)<3: Of course. Always have time for you. What's up?
Matsu♡: Oh, thank you. Let's meet up for coffee tomorrow and I'll tell you about it yeah?
(N/N)<3: Sounds good, see ya tomorrow Matsu
It wasn't like it had been all those years ago, but you still like dfinding time for this.
----
It was a new day. You woke up to your alarm and began getting ready. There was nothing better than getting ready to hang out with your friends. Especially him.
While you were both introverted people, spending time together seemed to recharge your battery.
He was already there, and called you over with a small smile.
"You're early," he said, looking at the clock. "And you're earlier," you responded back with a laugh.
You both agreed to meet at 8. It was 7:36.
He laughed and nodded. "You got me. I was excited," he admitted. "Me too! I have something super duper important to tell you!" You chirped excitedly. "Oh? And what might that be?"
"I got a new assignment.... you'll never guess who," you said. "Hm? I'm intrigued. By the way, since I know your coffee order hasn't changed in the past 5 years, I ordered your coffee,"he informed. You smiled. "That's so nice. Thank you. But... I have been assigned to that serial killer. You know, Banda Sunato?" You mentioned. You saw his eye widen. "You're joking, right?" He questioned. You shook your head. "Its my first big patient I guess. I'm a bit nervous," you admitted, your nails tapping on the table. "Yeah... I mean you've talked to people like him before but..."
"I mean, did you see what he did when they arrested him? He just... grinned. Ugh, it's so freaky," you mumbled, shaking your head. The waitress set down your drinks and you smiled at her, thanking her.
You two spent the better half of your day there.
"Oh wow... it's 12, we should really get going huh?" He suggested. You nodded, bringing out your wallet to pay. "I've got it. I invited you out," he offered. "Oh no, really, I insist," you said. It was so embarrassing as you two went back in forth every time.
"Fine, then take this as a celebration. To your first big patient. And let me pay," he said with a smile. You smiled rolling your eyes with a nod. "Fine fine. You win. This time," you said. You two looked around for the first time.
You had been so immersed with your conversation, you didn’t even notice any people around you. But now that you two had stopped talking, you noticed how quiet it was. You two walked up to the counter trying to look for the waitresses. Or anyone for that matter.
"Hello?" Enji called out, he looked to you, and you shrugged.
Then you noticed the lights were off. And the cars outside were stopped.
"Um... Enji... that's not normal is it?" You said pointing it out.
He shook his head. "It's not... come on, lets go see what's going on."
---------
The psychology behind love. That's what your final projects were on.
"Ugh I hate this project," you mumbled, writing down more information on your note cards. "Why? It's not that bad. Boring, but not bad," he said, adding more to the PowerPoint. "Because. This is so dumb. I mean... it is interesting. But there's more biology to love. According to this, I'll most likely look for love that I feel safe and secure in, but won't think they love me so i have anxiety about it," you explained. "... that's all true though?"
"... Enji..."
"Sorry sorry sorry!"
----------
"Happy birthday to me," he sang quietly to himself. He sat at the small table, head in his hands as he waited. His mother was supposed to be back at 6. That's when she got off of work. She told him they'd go do something for his birthday.
"16, that's a big milestone! We have to celebrate!"
He sighed, wiping the tears that ran down his cheeks. He looked up at the clock 11:43. In just 17 minutes the day would be over.
He sniffled and got up. He felt stupid for crying. It was just another day.
He felt stupid for thinking she'd be back.
Maybe... maybe she'd get back before 12. Yeah, she would walk in before 12, a smile on her face, apologizing for making him wait. And they would watch a movie, celebrate the next day.
12 came and went.
1 AM.
2 AM.
He sighed, and walked to his room, shutting and locking the door. He slid down the door, bringing his knees uo the his chest.
He couldn't stop the tears that fell down his face. "She said... she said she'd be here... she's never here. She said she'd be here," he whimpered quietly to himself.
The teen heard the door to the house open. His mother was home. He checked his phone. 4:55. He heard footsteps coming to his door. They stopped and he heard his mother jiggled the doorknob. "Damnit Enji... I told you to stop locking your door," she whispered. He scoffed quietly.
He heard her walk away, and he decided to just lay in bed. About 3 hours later the sun would come up and he wouldn't be able to sleep anyways.
"Happy birthday to me..." he sang quietly once more, staring up at the ceiling.
---------
"Well... if you just lost a little weight it would fit you," your mother said. "Or you could just buy me clothes in my size that fit me," you scoffed, changing back into your clothes. She looked shocked. "You think I can't figure it out mom? You were just like me once. And now that you're skinny you're on this fucking high horse about your weight. I get it, I'm fat and you want to change it because you're embarrassed," you said, storming off at the end. "(Y/N)! (Y/N), please!" She called out after you.
You left the house, going to a spot in the back. The woods were right there.
Where you could think.
And what you thought about was the boy from the street. And his kindness. The way his hand held yours as he helped you back home. His eyes that stared in admiration, filled with kindness.
-----------
"Did you find anything?" He asked, walking over to you. You shook your head. He sighed. "This is really fucking weird."
You nodded in agreement. He pushed his hair out of his face in a stressed manor. You looked at him and he quickly pushed his hair back down.
You walked over and softly pushed it out of his face. He flinched softly. "I don't care y'know... I think you're... perfect even with it," you smiled. He swallowed harshly, fixing the hair in front of his eye once more, hiding the prosthetic eye he had. He hated it.
But you saying that made him hate it a little bit less.
But it would always remind him of him.
That awful man.
-----------
"Don't fucking touch her!" He screamed, standing in front of his mother, protecting her from the man. She cried behind him, bruised and bloodied.
"What are you going to do about it? You're no stronger than that whore of a mother you have," the man spat. "Move. Now."
He stood his ground.
"No."
He couldn't remember much of that night. Other than that much. A fight. Pain. The taste of blood. The stabbing pain in his eye. Screaming. He couldn't tell if it was his or his mother's. Maybe both.
The white walls of a hospital.
And darkness out of one eye.
---------
He shuddered, grabbing your wrist. "Please... don't," he whispered his voice cracking slightly. "Just... please don't..."

Larger Than Life 3: Post Fight
~
The news of my breakup with Liam traveled fast throughout the house to the full distain of Emma who wanted all the attention for herself and got angry when it wasn't directly on her.
🌸 In the confessional 🌸
Emma's dark outfit and oversized sunglasses contrasted vividly with the bright neon colors splashed over the walls of the confession room. Like good minions, Rachel and Hayley were dressed similarly on either side of their leader. Emma lit up a cigarette, the smoke floating to the air before she spoke.
"You know I should press charges on those sewer rats." She said gently placing the pad of her finger on the shallow cut just above her nose. "I mean what type of psychopath just goes off like that? Even if that was her sister - like I would never."
The girls next to her nod emphatically. "She just burst into the house and went off like some type of gorilla."
"Exactly" Hayley nods. "And people want her to come back?! What about us? I mean Maddy started it, she called me a dumb bitch and my friends were just sticking up for me but we didn't resort to violence like we are classy."
Emma nods "if we get enough people on our side, we can pressure them to leave. We need people on our side."
"I know we're getting more people tomorrow." Hayley said referencing the letter from yesterday. "We can explain it to them-"
"What about people here that saw it for themselves." Rachel chimed in. "I mean we can get new people of course but like I think it would mean more coming from people who already are established here. OI mean, this is our house and she just comes in like a tornado and ruins it."
"Then we better get to work." Emma says simply and looking directly into the camera. "just know it is not over."
~
If the girls weren't so dramatic then they would have known we did call a house meeting in the big living room. We were all gathered on the plush couches or chairs, or some of us laid on the soft carpets. After Ian told the story of what happened to those who missed it, it was Nick who asked the question.
"So should we vote them out?" He asked looking around with an amused smirk on his face. "I want to meet them before I cast my vote - but that is crazy."
"This isn't survivor." Edward said simply, Draven sat next to him and nodded. "We can't just vote them out."
"If enough people say they don't want someone in the house then they might leave then." Selena quipped from her spot on Justin's lap. "I mean I would."
"Just say you have no balls." Draven shrugged. Selena gave her a look but didn't say anything, she looked at Justin but he wasn't really paying attention anyway.
"Well, I like her!" Katya said excitedly from her spot on the couch. Austin looked up at her and laughed. "What? I do! I love someone who sticks up for her family. She was in the right."
"So you believe she should have went violent?" Vanessa narrowed her eyes at her. She didn't care much about voting or what happened earlier, she knew karma would get Emma and karma sent you. She did however hate how close the blonde was sitting next to her boyfriend. She was too comfortable around him. Would she leave if people pressured her to go?
Katya nodded "Not as much as she did but I do understand."
"Shit I would." I said stealing a cigarette from Robin. "They ruined like half her clothes! And this was not a spur of the moment thing, they went in her room, took all her clothes and threw them in the pool! Fuck that, anyone comes in my room and does that I'll hit them with a bat."
"Then Maddy should have did that to Emma." Miley said as though it was obvious and Selena nodded.
"Violence is not the answer."
"What are you a fucking priest? Are you telling me if they were in your room now, cutting up your clothes or throwing bleach on it you wouldn't want to swing?"
"I would want to but I wouldn't." She said.
"I don't think either were right but Its just clothes." Kendall said "She could always get more."
"But what of she couldn't?" I shoot back. "We are all basically just starting out- not everyone can rely on family money."
"You do too." Justin chuckles under his breath.
"No I don't."
"Oh I forgot." Kendall snarks pushing her hair from her face. She plasters on a wicked smirk "You were cut off right? No money, while you try and figure out this career. Yeah, the makeup artist at the shows talk- now you don't have Liam to pay your things either." She looks at Robin "Keep your wallet close around this one." A few snickers scatter in the group.
"Oh wow, I pay for my own things." I snark back "Imagine being independent. That must be a foreign concept to you, huh?"
"That was fucked up." Zayn shakes his head looking at Kendall. "It just shows how insecure you are about your family money."
"No I'm not, she brought up my family so I brought up hers. Its fair, like it would be fair if Maddy threw a few of Emma's clothes in the pool."
"They threw all her clothes in the pool." Cassie says "it would only be fair if the same thing happened to Emma."
"Not really" Gigi says "no offense, but Emma wears really expensive stuff and Maddy doesn't so the value is not the same."
"Oh shut the fuck up with that shit." Draven snapped standing up "You sound like a fucking brat and I'm fucking done having this debate. I'll cast my fucking vote right now, That adi girl was right, I vote she stay. Everyone who agrees with me say 'Aye'."
"Aye!" Katya and Edward say at the same time.
Vanessa carefully watches Austin who says 'Aye' she says "Nay" just to start a fight with him.
There are more willing to give you a chance right now by the end.
"Fucking wonderful" Draven says "now I'm going to eat."
~
Despite the mansion being enough to comfortably house us, the bathroom situation was still a situation. There were only 10 bathrooms and while that might seems like a lot - it wasn't enough. They were all big, fit with a connecting room covered in mirrors to change or do makeup, but only one toilet, one huge tub and an adjoining clear glass shower, that fogged with the steam of the hot water that we fortunately have not ran out of.
Having learned from being there for a week already, I got up early and found my way into the nearby bathroom taking my time until I heard angry pounding on the door.
"Get out! OTHER PEOPLE LIVE HERE!" I heard a screech from the other side of the door. I rolled my eyes opening the door. Hayley and Rachel stood outside the door. They glared at me. "You take way to long, you know how things are around here."
"I'm almost done." I said turning around and gathering my pajamas and excess clothes. "Are you showering together?"
"No!" Rachel shouted. Through the mirror I saw she was looking at my outfit up and down but didn't comment on it until Hayley did.
"Looks like she's back to her old ways." Hayley mumbled.
"You bitches better watch how you talk about me." I said pushing past them "I have no problems fucking your dads and breaking up your families."
"Real classy." Nate said coming out of his room - shirtless as always. "I can't wait to see single you."
"Don't worry. YOU won't see single me." I said moving past him. I threw my clothes in my room and found my way downstairs. Unfortunately since I had been so preoccupied with Liam and my former manager all last week I didn't really get the chance to know anyone in the house that I didn't already know. Now, I was going to change that. I had a plan to walk in the kitchen and get to know the KPOP band that I didn't really get a chance to interact with but instead I was met with a girl in a leopard skinned dress, that was beautiful but not for 9 in the morning.
She was looking around observing the place until she heard my footsteps behind her. "Hey, I'm Naomi."
~
"She's a bit of a pick-me girl huh?" Draven asked, puffing on a cigarette as we observed Naomi meet the rest of the house. Draven and I both didn't get a chance to interact much but now I regretted it. She was thinking exactly what I was thinking.
"She sure is." I nodded. She was polite but distant to the girls and suddenly put on a bight and bubble personality with the boys who gave her attention. "Watch she's going to laugh again." I said and as though on cue, Naomi let out a fluttering laugh touching JB on his chest as he told a joke.
"I can't anymore." Draven shakes her head and squishes her cigarette in the ashtray. "Wheres the other people?"
"Coming soon, i hope." I say and as though planned the doorbell ring.
"are you magic?" Draven teases and we laugh heading over to the door.
You stand in the doorway chatting with Kali while the limo drivers holding your suitcases. "Welcome back."

to elaborate, his line in german is "farewell, my only friend, my hunter" and it comes after him calling you his prey in your earlier encounters up to after you complete the ala mhigo dungeon, welcoming you to "[his] pleasure garden above the clouds" when you enter the royal menagerie and then explaining that the mad king had this built and filled with animals from his wife's homeland for her enjoyment and then showing you shinryu which implicitly casts you as his wife that he brought this animal from your homeland for your enjoyment (normal ways to court your prey), asking if you want to be hunting partners then rejecting the option if you agree then saying you're the only one he would take as companion and during the trial excitedly calling you his hunting partner anyway, and when you beat him he says the hunter became the prey and that it's literally never gonna get better than this and kills himself. I actually translated his royal menagerie lines for a friend the other day so you can check those out here if you're interested.
I agree with all of that regarding his characterisation. zenos' lack of personal capacity for enmity is also why he's so fascinated in seeing it in others, he explicitly says that he lets some people escape whenever he goes on a massacre because he's trying to push them into hating him so much they become strong enough to pose a challenge for him. when he offers fordola her echo he tells her that he's interested in her because of the way she will burn down everything around her including herself. stormblood is a chapter full of people whose passions push them towards violence in some way or another, be it fighting for a better life or to enact bloody revenge, and zenos stands in the middle of this as someone who completely lacks any passion of his own, but sees the way passion and violence are often linked in others and has thus put the cart before the horse and concluded violence is the goal of passion instead of a means. he has no distinction between love and hate, it's all this same [passion] that he doesn't understand but deeply longs to experience. he genuinely considers you his dearest and only friend because you're the only person who's ever made him feel anything at all, and he doesn't really care what it is that you feel in return for him as long as you feel something in return, because feeling anything at all for each other is the proof of friendship to him.
I think one of zenos' strongest qualities as a character is that he makes it really difficult to not have an opinion of him, because he just barges into the story and tells you what your opinion on him is and regardless of whether you agree or not you still have an opinion on zenos now. and he's not going to leave you alone until you have an opinion on him, and no matter what your opinion on him is he's going to be pleased with it because what he wants is for you to have an opinion on him at all, so there's no real way to back out of making it weird with him. funniest bitch in eorzea
Another thing that's... kinda odd about the English translation is in the DRK quests, Myste says "A reckoning will not be postponed indefinitely", which is a big line in basically a secret route of the browser game Fallen London. and yeah, it is a cool line and neat to hear it in FF14... it also doesn't really work for Myste? In it's original context, it's about the remains of a dead demi-god-like being, which was cast into a well, seeking a reckoning and leading the player down a route which will irreversibly destroy their character in pursuit of dark secrets.
Which is not what the Myste sections of DRK were about at all, lol.
oh I could rant for hours about dark knight translations. that questline is actually why I first went to scope out the german script, because I heard drk wildly differs between english and japanese and that german generally stays closer to japanese than english does. I translated some of the fray parts here actually, though you'll note I'm a lot more forgiving of the english script in that one because i hadn't reached sidurgu's parts yet löl
german fray and myste are just completely different characters from english. german myste is upbeat and energetic. he loves people who help others and feels a strong urge to help them in turn. he spawned from the dark knight crystal in response to the loneliness of countless dark knights stored within it so he could console them and be their friend, he's basically the will of the soul crystal itself. he tries to alleviate that loneliness by facilitating reunions with lost loved ones but grows frustrated that this only leads to more partings, so he tries to expand his powers to maintain his illusions forever, because more than anything he just doesn't want to leave his dear friends the dark knights alone. he represents the childish wish at the core of every dark knight for a world where nobody has to lose anyone again.
in the part of the quests where you take myste to the sea of clouds there's this bit where in english he talks about his guilt complex and lets slip that this is also your guilt. in german he tells you that he was always with these people who fight hard for others, watching from the sides, until one day he heard a cry of loneliness and since then he's been trying his best to help people too. that's the moment that for me really hammered it in that these languages fundamentally disagree on what it even means to be a dark knight.
in english myste is desperate to atone for everything he's ever done and fray is your self preservation instinct who is kinda mad that you let it get this far, but they have to forgive him because you're all you have as you walk this lonely and bloody path that you have to believe is right. in german myste is your ideal, the desire to comfort those who have no-one else, crying that maybe it's better to forget altogether if partings can't be avoided and fray is your human heart who agrees that parting will always hurt but that is exactly where you find the strength to continue the fight, because it is worthwhile even if it never ends, and the path may be lonely but you will never walk it alone when there are people who came before you and who will come after you who all share this same dream of a kinder world. of course you won't have to leave us, you're our ideal, you're what we do it all for, as long as we remain dark knights you'll be with us. this all flows very naturally into drk-as-shadowbringers-class and ardbert's deal too but since I haven't reached shb in german yet I don't want to say anything extensive about it yet
i still think english drk was cooking with even your repressed feelings being repressed + the part of yourself that wants to protect itself obviously trying to protect itself and thus not wanting to show vulnerability so en fray postures as the stronger one who will protect you instead, and that fray writing in the journal (and only being able to be honest in a place where you're unlikely to look unless you don't know where to go) is incredibly clever. but in the context of how english treats sidurgu and just the way they handle the entire rest of the game really i also don't think that they were intentionally going for this kind of subtlety, it feels to me more like they just thought sincerity is cringe like usual and decided to make everyone cool and edgy (and thus needlessly mean to each other) instead.
and yeah english fucking loves to just yoink lines from other media whether it's appropriate or not. they turned zenos' final words to wol into a hamilton reference in english, "my first friend, my enemy" is a hamilton line, he doesn't ever call you his enemy in any other language (in german he calls you his hunter though which yes is incredibly horny of him). I'll admit I'm not in a good position to judge whatever epic references the german script makes because I'm unfamiliar with german language popular media so I won't spot them unless someone else points them out but I do know that when german fray quotes fight club it just enhances their characterisation as trying to sound cool and intimidating but failing because they're really kind of lame and awkward and can't hide how stoked they are to hang out with you.

I’ll Make It Right | Tommy Shelby x Reader
Request: no - part of @zablife ‘s 100 Followers Celebration
Pairing: Tommy Shelby x reader
Summary: He's from a different social class. She's promised to someone else. But they just can't seem to let each other go. It's up to Tommy to make it right for the two of them.
Warnings: language, smoking, arranged marriage, violence (typical to series), character death

A/N: Congrats again to @zablife for reaching this amazing milestone! Everyone should go follow for the amazing stories, you won’t be disappointed. I also noticed that I’ve kind of added all of your favorite tropes into this...it’s got an arranged marriage, there’s hurt/comfort, and it’s a tad bit dark (in my eyes at least). I hope you enjoy! :)
A/N 2: oh, also Cal in this fic is based off of Cal from the movie Titanic.
I’D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! - YOUR THOUGHTS & COMMENTS HELP ME WRITE!
Let me know if you want to be tagged in stories similar to this one!
There was nothing better than going out with a group of friends. Unless that group of friends can’t decide on what they should do. Which was what (Y/N)'s group of friends was struggling with at the moment.
Evelyn and Mary had been engaged in an argument that'd been going on for at least ten minutes now, about which theatre would be better to go to. Once the entire group had narrowed it down to wanting to go see a show, the debate started. Evelyn wanted to see something more contemporary whereas Mary was fighting for the opera that she claimed everybody would love.
"What do you think, (Y/N)?" Georgine, the other woman who had been following the argument closely, finally split up the other two in order to get an opinion.
(Y/N), who was not paying attention at all to what was being said, looked up from the fingernails that she was picking with a confused expression on her features, "I'm sorry?" she said, hoping that she'd be given a summary of everything that was said.
"Do you agree with Evelyn or Mary?" Georgine asked, making the confused woman be the decider of what they'd be doing tonight.
(Y/N) sighed, hating that she'd been put in the position to decide, as she looked between her two friends and decided to say the first name that came to mind, "Mary." On cue, the woman whose name had been spoken jumped up in celebration as the other hung her head in defeat.
"You guys are going to love the opera," Mary said as she excitedly led the group of four out of her stately country home and to the car that was waiting to take them into the city of London.
"I'm surprised that Cal let you come out with us tonight, (Y/N)," Evelyn stated as they waited in line for their tickets to the opera.
"He doesn't have a say in everything that I do, Ev," (Y/N) stated matter-of-factly, "I'm still able to enjoy time with my friends."
"I'm surprised that he lets you do that. He likes knowing what you're doing at all times it seems," Georgine pointed out. (Y/N) just sighed.
It seemed that everybody had an opinion of Calvin Corwin. He was the man who she was going to marry, an arrangement by both of their families that she had no say in. His family was wealthy and so was hers, so it made sense for the two to form a union through marriage. Cal, as everybody called him, had a bit of a reputation for being a rather strict businessman who liked to have his hand in everything that the people inside his circle did. (Y/N) still cared for him though. He could be sweet sometimes behind closed doors.
"How about we don't talk about my fiancé and enjoy our night, alright?" (Y/N) suggested as she looked between her friends then. She nodded her head when no one responded, "good. Let's get our tickets now," she stated before moving forward to the ticket window to purchase hers for the show.
Soon enough, the four women were sitting in the upper balcony that was sectioned off for the upperclass people of the city. Anyone who had made a name for themselves, or had married into it, was sitting up there. That's why the two men sitting to the group's left stuck out so much from the second they sat down.
"Goodness, who are they?" Mary asked in a hushed voice as she stared over at the men, who had begun talking almost from the second they sat down.
"I mean, the man on the left seems to know what he's doing, but the man on the right...he doesn't look like he's supposed to be here at all," Evelyn snickered as the ladies were all shamelessly looking over at them now. This was just something upperclass women liked to do. They often passed the time gossiping about people both inside and out of their circle and the things that they've seen.
"What do you mean? He's wearing a nicely tailored, three-piece suit by the looks of it," (Y/N) pointed out as the other ladies continued with their snickers. She couldn't seem to take her eyes off of the handsome man who happened to be so conveniently sitting facing in her direction; as if he'd been situated specifically for her viewing pleasure.
"Look at his hair though, (Y/N). That's the haircut of the working class," Georgine was quick to point out, a hint of disgust in her voice. She was prepostered that he'd even be let up in the private boxes.
"Yeah, you can dress them up, but you can't take away who they truly are," Evelyn piggybacked off of Georgine's statement, the three sniggering again. (Y/N) tried to join in with them in their laughter, but she was stuck. Stuck staring at the man and hoping that he'd glance in her direction. She knew that she shouldn't be doing this with Cal back home, but she just couldn't help herself.
"Earth to (Y/N)..." Mary laughed as she thwacked (Y/N) on the shoulder, bringing her back into the conversation that had continued without her.
"What?" she asked, completely unaware of what had just been said.
"We were wondering how he even got up here," Mary brought her up to speed.
(Y/N) chuckled slightly, thinking on her toes to get a comment out; something that would have sounded believable. "Maybe he's the other man's servant," she guessed, the woman immediately agreeing along with her statement before the snicker-fest continued. (Y/N) only let her laughter out half-heartedly, as she really didn't feel comfortable laughing at the expense of this man, which was completely unlike her. She was the first to jump in when there was some good gossip to be told. But something about how this man held himself let her know that there was more to his story. That there was more to him than the way he dressed.
The lights in the theatre dimmed before she could speak her mind, and the ladies dropped the conversation to pay attention to the opera that had begun.
(Y/N) excused herself at intermission to use the lavatory. She checked with the other ladies to see if they wanted to accompany her, but they all chose to stay at their seats. So she exited her row and walked to the steps so that she'd be able to get to the main floor.
She then started walking down the empty hallway, her eyes focused on the floor in front of her as she walked. She didn't even see the person coming in from behind one of the exterior doors before she ran into them, and immediately, she was apologizing for not watching where she was going.
"It's alright, love, everything's fine," the man assured her, making her stop her rambling apology so that she could finally look over at who she'd collided with.
She immediately recognized him as the man that was sitting several seats over from her. "Wha...what were you doing outside?" she said the first thing that came to her mind as she stared up at him. She was honestly surprised that she said anything at all. This man was even more handsome up close, and to be honest, (Y/N) was feeling a little awestruck.
"Having a cigarette," he responded simply, his sapphire blue eyes looking her up and down. (Y/N) hadn't ever seen anything so blue in her life. Even her most expensive gems couldn't compete.
"Smoking's allowed upstairs, you know," she told him in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Oh I know," the man nodded his head, "I just wanted to step out for a moment. I've found out rather fast that the opera isn't for me," he told her, the facial expression that he pulled making (Y/N) laugh slightly.
"Why are you here then? If you don't mind me asking," she asked him with furrowed eyebrows.
"A business associate’s into 'em. He suggested it as a neutral place to meet and speak, but I now know that he just wanted to use it as a chance to see the bloody play," he disclosed.
"An opera actually isn't a play," (Y/N) pointed out, catching the flaw in his statement.
"They're all the same to me, love," he seemed unamused by the technicality, and the pet name that he called her made her stomach do flips. "You want to leave?" he asked her suddenly.
"Why would you think that I would?" (Y/N) questioned, a bit taken back by his sudden suggestion.
"Well because it seems that you're as uninterested in the play as I am..." he trailed off, taking a moment to look her up and down before he continued, "you've spent most of the first act looking over at me."
(Y/N) immediately felt her cheeks heating up at his statement. It was true though. She was unable to help herself. It was difficult to keep her eyes off of him, and as the opera continued on, she found it more amusing to look for his reactions (or lack thereof) to the events that happened. "I have friends that are waiting for me back at my seat," she told him as she clasped her hands together against her waist, making sure that her engagement ring was showing in hopes that that along with her words would help him accept her answer.
The man gazed down at her hands as they moved before his eyes matched hers again. He was nodding before he spoke, "oh. I understand. Well, it was nice meeting you," he let it be, accepting her words for what they were. (Y/N) was surprised that he'd given up without much fight from her. Perhaps she'd been living around Cal for too long. He always fought her answers until they worked out the way he wanted them to.
"Same with you. I'm sorry for staring. I'll make sure to not do it during the second act," she said bashfully, trying so hard to keep her cheeks from heating up. The man just chuckled at her statement before he excused himself to go back up the steps to the upper balcony. (Y/N) watched him go and exhaled a deep breath once he was out of sight. She couldn't help but feel slightly deflated as she finally made her way into the lavatory. Now she was going to have to actually pay attention to the opera, rather than pass her time staring at the man sitting down the row from her.
"Sweetheart, we are leaving now!" Cal's impatient voice called from the foyer.
"I'm coming, darling!" (Y/N) called as she hurried to grab her purse. She took a quick look in the mirror and deemed herself ready to go before she exited the bedroom and dashed down the hallway to get to the stairs. "How do I look, Cal?" she asked her fiancé as she clasped her hand around his bicep and let him lead her out to the car that was waiting for them.
"You look fine, (Y/N)," he nodded as he opened the door for her, following her into the backseat once she was situated. He then gave the driver the go ahead to start off to their destination. "When we get there, it will be me who is doing the talking. You are simply joining me so that the women accompanying my business partners have someone to talk to. Stay on my arm and do not say anything, alright?" Cal laid down the ground rules as they were driven to the event hall.
"Alright," (Y/N) agreed meekly as she glanced down at her lap.
"Good," Cal concluded their conversation, always liking to have the last word.
The rest of the drive was silent, and soon they had arrived at the restaurant where the upscale dinner party was being held. The affluent businessman who was hosting this event, (Y/N) hadn't been told his name, had rented the entire building out for the occasion. (Y/N) took hold of Cal's arm as he led them through the main doors and into the ballroom-like area that had tables and people scattered around it. There was a band playing music on the stage, setting the atmosphere and allowing for some to go dancing. Cal's hand moved to grip onto (Y/N)'s waist as he led her through the people to who he wanted to chat with first; making sure that she couldn't stray away from him.
He found his first conversation with a Mr. Albert Bluestone, who was a head of a large steel corporation that operated within London. Cal was swift to introduce (Y/N) to Albert's wife so that the two men could go off and chat about their business dealings. (Y/N) obliged, not really wanting to hear about this woman's draping situation, but she put up with it. She'd do anything in order to keep Cal happy.
Things were going swimmingly up until Cal dragged her along to the next person he intended on speaking to. (Y/N) instantly recognized him as the man she ran into at the opera. Her cheeks immediately heated up as she took in his dapper suit that contrasted nicely with his rugged features. She couldn't help but wonder where he was from because they surely didn't have any men in London who looked like him.
She had to snap herself out of her thoughts as Cal brought them to a stop in front of the other man. Immediately, he started with introductions, "(Y/N), this is Mr. Thomas Shelby. As you can see, he does not have a woman with him tonight, so you will stay with us as we speak business. Mr. Shelby, this is (Y/N), my fianceé," he finished, allowing Tommy to take her hand and kiss her knuckles softly. (Y/N) tried hard not to show how much his gesture affected her.
Tommy spoke then, a slight smile on his lips, "It's nice to meet you, (Y/N). What your fiancé says is true, I have yet to meet the woman for me. Perhaps I will meet her tonight."
"Now, Mr. Shelby, you say that you are coming into this city and looking to deal with the import and export of automobile parts, correct?" Cal started then, looking to take control over the conversation once more.
"That is correct," Tommy nodded, his eyes just then drifting from (Y/N) to go to the man who had already gone into his pitch of how his company would be able to help him in his endeavors.
(Y/N) wasn't listening. Instead, she was paying close attention to Tommy's mannerisms as well as nearly every word he spoke. Part of this was because she, once again, couldn't seem to take her eyes off of him, but it was also because she needed something to distract her from the ever-tightening grip that Cal had on her waist. It was most likely because he was able to sense the confident aura that Tommy was giving off, and he was intimidated by it.
Soon enough, the conversation was over, and three were bidding their goodbyes to each other. (Y/N) was upset, for once, to be leaving a conversation. She'd quickly become fascinated by Thomas Shelby. It also seemed as if he'd been fascinated by her as well, because as she moved around the room at Cal's side, she felt Tommy's eyes on her. She'd even catch his glimpse a few times, and he wouldn't drop it. They'd just stare at each other until (Y/N) would blush and look away. She found that time passed much quicker this way.
Some time later, after (Y/N) and Cal had just finished eating their dinner, Tommy approached their table. "Mr. Shelby! What can I do for you?" Cal asked with a grin on his face as Tommy stopped by their seats. "Have you already decided to go forward with our agreement?"
"I actually came to ask if I could take your fianceé for a dance, Mr. Corwin…since I am not being accompanied by a woman of my own," Tommy responded, his eyes falling on (Y/N) once more, "consider it a show of good faith for the future business that we will be doing with each other," he finished his pitch as a slight grin graced his features.
"Go on," Cal nodded in approval, "one dance won't do any harm. Treat him well, love," he directed his last sentence at (Y/N), who nodded before slowly standing from her seat to take Tommy's waiting hand. She tried her best to act hesitant so that, hopefully, Cal wouldn't catch onto how eager she was at the moment.
Tommy smiled at her as he led her onto the dancefloor. She felt tingles where he set his hand against her waist, and he had to ignore the feelings her gentle touch on his shoulder was giving him. It was like they were dancing around something else as they swayed to the music. Each touch had succeeded in lighting small fires inside of them.
"You're a good dancer, Mr. Shelby," (Y/N) commented after they'd been dancing for a few minutes.
"I've had my fair share of dances," he responded, a grin on his face. "You been with your fiancé long?" he asked her then, glancing over to the table where Cal was sitting, watching them, as he spoke.
"No, not really," (Y/N) shook her head, "we've been put into an arranged marriage...one that will benefit both of our families," she told him, hating that she was now thinking of her controlling fiancé while in the arms of this handsome man.
"So you both had no say?"
"I'd like to think so, but it's obvious that Cal had a hand in it. He likes that he has someone who he can order around and control in the way he does with me," she admitted, a sigh escaping her lips even though she didn't want it to. Tommy only nodded his head to what she had to say as the song had ended, and with that, probably all of the fun that (Y/N) would be having that night ended as well. "Thank you for the dance, Tommy," she smiled up at him as they stepped away from each other.
"It's my pleasure, love," he responded with a smile, the pet name he used making her feel all giddy inside. She never felt like that with Cal.
"Did you enjoy yourself, (Y/N)?" Cal asked the second she'd returned to the table.
"I did," she nodded.
"Good. Maybe now Mr. Shelby will take our arrangement seriously."
(Y/N) only nodded at his words. It was always all business with him. She sat beside him as he engaged in conversation with the other men at their table. All she wanted to do was leave now. She'd had enough of the atmosphere that filled these types of engagements. You had to take everything that everybody said with a grain of salt because they were really just trying to advance their company.
So she passed her time by glancing around the room in hopes that she'd see Tommy again. And eventually she did. His eyes locked onto hers and he held them for a second before he nodded his head to the side before he began walking in that direction. The breath got caught in (Y/N)'s throat. He was motioning for her to follow him.
"I need to use the restroom, Cal," she quickly made up a believable lie.
"Go 'head," he all but muttered, unbothered to even look her way as she stood from her chair and went in the same direction that Tommy had gone.
She approached the hallway she'd seen him walk down and watched as he tried a door before stepping inside the room that was behind it. She slowed her pace so that she wouldn't be barging in right after he'd entered. Eventually she got to it, and she opened it slowly to see him leaning against a table whilst he was lighting a cigarette. His suit jacket and tie had been discarded, and the top button of his dress shirt was now undone. His head snapped in her direction as she shut the door, and she was almost a puddle on the floor as she watched him exhale a line of smoke.
"You wanted to see me?" she asked, her voice soft.
"I did," Tommy nodded while taking another drag.
"Why?" was her next question. She hated how shy she was acting.
"Because I wanted to do this," he told her, extinguishing his cigarette in the table's ashtray before he made his way over to her. His lips were on hers before she was able to ask 'what'.
(Y/N) immediately responded to the kiss by wrapping her arms around his neck, her fingers going to run through the shaven sides of his head and up to the longer locks that sat atop his head. Tommy's hands stayed gripped on her waist as he kissed her with fervor, showing her how much he'd been wanting to do that from the moment he first saw her. She couldn't help but let out a moan as their tongues met, clashing against each other as they fought for control of the situation. (Y/N) eventually let him have it. She'd never been so inclined to give up control in her life as she was in this moment.
But then the controlling man that was already in her life popped back into her mind, making her pull away from Tommy with a gasp. "What's wrong, (Y/N)?" he asked as he tried to steady his breathing, his hands still fastened to her waist.
"My fiancé. He'll kill me for what I've done," she told him, worry immediately seeping into her features.
"He won't. He's got his share of mistresses too, love. It'd be hypocritical for him to do anything," he reminded her, but (Y/N) couldn't hear it. She was supposed to be Cal's ever-loving fianceé, regardless of the stuff that he was involved in.
"Maybe our desire for each other will stay in the hallways," she said to him as she finally broke her hold from him with the intent of leaving the room. She couldn't be alone with him any longer for fear of her not being able to uphold her decision. So she made her way to the door.
But she wasn't able to leave without him grabbing her hand and turning her towards him so that he could say one last line: "I'll make this right, (Y/N)," he told her with sincerity in his voice as he leaned in to kiss her lips once more.
(Y/N) only nodded her head as they pulled away. She was unsure of what to say to his statement, so she went to open the door. She tried to keep herself calm as she returned back to her table, although his final words, and the amazing feeling of his lips lingered in the back of her mind for the remainder of the night.
"Why the sudden change in business dealings, Mr Shelby?" Calvin Corwin asked with furrowed eyebrows as he sat across from Thomas Shelby. They were currently in his office, where Tommy had showed up to say that he was cutting off ties with the other man's company.
"I have decided to seek out other partners," Tommy tried to keep his answer vague and his temper in check. It was taking everything he had not to jump across the man's desk and kill him in that moment.
"Why?" Cal was still perplexed, "we made a good deal with each other."
"I've been given better deals."
"I let you dance with my fucking wife," Cal's voice dropped as anger seeped into it.
"She's not your fucking wife, she's your fianceé," Tommy pointed out for spite at that point, a grin on his face.
"Who cares?! I still let you touch her with your grubby hands, and this is how you repay me?! By pulling out of the deal that we made only two weeks ago?!" Cal wasn't backing down, and it was making it harder for Tommy to keep his cool. But he really wanted to go forward with his plan instead of going off the cuff.
So he stood up from his seat and made his way to the door, "if you really want to know why I'm pulling out of this deal, Mr. Corwin, I suppose I'll tell you..." Tommy trailed off as he glanced over at the light switch, "I'm pulling out because I do not want to be doing business with a man who has linked up with Darby Sabini...the very man who is trying to bring me down," he gave him his answer, his words coming out like daggers, "oh, and Mr. Corwin, I will make sure that your fianceé knows of how you met your demise when I see her later tonight," he got one last dig in with a grin before he opened the door and exited the office.
"What do you mean by that, Mr. Shelby?!" he heard Cal yell from the other side of the door. Tommy ignored him and made sure to walk away as quickly as possible from the room that was about to explode at any second.
He was sure that his plan to kill Calvin Corwin was going to go off without a hitch, but then he saw (Y/N) walking towards him. The second she recognized him, her eyes lit up. His widened as he rushed to cover her for the impending explosion. The walls behind him blew out the second he got to her, and he tried his best to shield her from the shrapnel.
"What was that?!" (Y/N) gasped in shock as she opened her eyes once things had settled. She gasped again as she looked over Tommy's shoulder to see the office that was once her fiancé's was now essentially blown to smithereens. "Tommy, you're hurt," she said then, noticing a cut up above his eyebrow.
"I'm fine, love. And I've made things right. Cal's dead," he told her what she already knew. There was no way that he would have lived through that. (Y/N)'s jaw still dropped though as the shock of it registered in her brain. "He was part of Darby Sabini's organization. He was using the deal we created to feed information on my next moves to Sabini," he went about informing her of something she hadn't known. Well, she knew about the kind of things that Darby Sabini did, but she didn't know that her fiancé was mixed up in them. Which meant that Tommy was mixed up in them too.
"They'll know that someone murdered him, Tommy," (Y/N) pointed out, already fearful of what would become of the man who had just saved her from harm.
"No," Tommy shook his head firmly, "it'll be written off as faulty electrical wiring," he assured her. Surprisingly, that was all that she needed to quell most of her worries. "Things will be alright now. Let's get you to a hospital, love," he told her as he then started to help her up to her feet. He then offered her his arm and she happily took it, a smile on her face as he led them out of the building as pandemonium continued to happen around them.

“You ready?” Came Hoseok’s voice as you exited your bedroom the next morning.
“Yep,” You smiled, shutting the door behind you as you followed him down the hallway.
This would be your first time accompanying someone who was busking and you honestly had no idea what to expect. Sure, you had encountered street performers in the past but it was always in passing and you would only stay for a couple minutes to watch. Today, you were coming to support a new friend. You hoped he was actually good or else it would be quite awkward.
Hoseok chatted to you excitedly as you both made your way to the town center. You had offered to help him carry the case that contained all his performance gear but he wouldn’t allow it, instead giving you a cheesy grin and running ahead of you a couple steps. You laughed as you tried to keep up with him. He clearly was ready to put on a show.
Once you reached a spot he deemed appropriate to perform in, he began to set up his speakers and microphone. You had a feeling he still wouldn’t accept your offer for help so you excused yourself to go make a coffee run.
While waiting for your order at the coffee truck, you felt your phone buzz in your pocket. Pulling it out, you can’t deny you were shocked to see it was Jihoon. You definitely hadn’t forgotten your boyfriend’s radio silence since yesterday, but you just weren’t holding out hopes in hearing from him so soon.
“Hello?”
“YN! I’m so sorry I missed you yesterday,” Jihoon’s voice sounded rushed and almost out of breath, like he had been running around all morning. “I stayed up late working on a project and ended up collapsing at my desk.”
“I thought that might have been the case.” You hummed in response, before something else came to mind. “You must have been busy. Is that why you turned your phone off?”
"What?” He sounds confused and almost defensive.
“Your phone went straight to voicemail like it was turned off.” You explain with a passive tone to make it not seem like you were interrogating him.
“O-oh yeah, I guess I must have done that without thinking.”
“Yeah, it was weird because when I first called you, it kept ringing and then the second it just-”
“Wait, I remember now. I heard the call when I was working but I didn’t know it was you. I must have turned my phone off when I meant to hit ‘ignore.’” Jihoon fumbles to explain, and you can almost imagine him pushing his glasses back up his nose hurriedly. “I’m sorry, honey. My mind’s just been all over the place.”
“Okay,” is all you can think to say, wanting to believe his word but getting a weird feeling in your gut at the same time.
“Are you doing anything today?”
“Uh, well-”
You open your mouth to say something else when you hear another voice in the background, muffled and unintelligible. Before you can try to make out what you heard, the barista calls your name and slams your drinks down on the counter. Blinking, you move to pick them up while holding the phone against your ear with your shoulder. You don’t even say anything, jaw wired shut as you listen to the line.
“Hey, YN. I hate to do this but my roommate needs my help with something. Can I call you later?”
“Sure.” If your voice sounds weak or unsure, he doesn’t hear it. The call ends before you can even process it. You stop to slip the phone back in your pocket, awkwardly holding the iced coffees in your arms as you make your way back to where Hoseok is.
You don’t let your thoughts linger on the conversation with Jihoon for too long - you can’t because your new roommate is getting ready to start his show. After a few microphone tests, he introduces himself to the other people currently sitting in this area of the square. Most are talking to their friends or looking at their phones but they look up in curiosity every now and then as they realize what he’s about to do.
“What’s up! I go by many names but you can call me Jay,” You can’t help the smile on your face as you watch him get into his cool persona. After only meeting this guy yesterday, you knew there were probably a lot of sides to him that you didn’t know. “This is my first time performing here so I hope you enjoy it!”
He presses a few keys on his computer and the track starts, a steady drum beat that soon becomes accompanied by a few other instrumentals you can’t pick up. It’s an addicting sound and you can’t help but tap your foot along with it. When he starts to rap, you hold your breath in fear that you won’t be able to enjoy it but find yourself releasing that breath not long after. You stare in awe as the song progresses and he transforms before you.
Everyone else seems to have the same reaction, you realize, as a crowd begins to form around you all. You spot a few phones being lifted up to record the show and find yourself doing the same. It’s just too impressive not to document. When the song ends, the whole audience erupts in cheers and applause, including yourself.
A few songs later, Hoseok stops to take a break. He comes over to where you’re standing to pick up his drink, taking a long sip. You stare at him with wide eyes, speechless.
“What?” He chuckles nervously.
“You didn’t tell me you were a fucking rockstar!” You exclaim, knocking his shoulder playfully. He barely moves from the impact, only laughing harder at your exaggerated antics. “Here I thought I was going to have to pretend to like your music.”
“Ahh, really? Do I look like I can’t rap?”
“I mean, I didn’t know what to expect. I haven’t known you very long after all.”
He hums in thought before replying, “Well, I guess we’ll have to get to know each other a little better then.”
*****
The rest of Hoseok’s performance went smoothly and by mid-afternoon, he had decided to end it there. It had been a few hours and you both were tired of standing around in the heat. You offered a second time to help him carry all his equipment, especially after how exhausted he must be from performing so long, but he insisted that he was fine.
As the two of you made your trek back to the residence, you fell into another easy conversation. You didn’t know how to describe it but something about Hoseok just felt so normal, compared to your other roommates. Despite only knowing him for a day, you felt comfortable around him like old friends. Maybe it was because he was new to the place like you.
“You never told me what you do for a living.” You glance over to see him looking at you curiously.
“Oh, well I’m a marketing intern for a concert promotion agency.” His eyebrows lift at this, an excited look brightening his face.
“Sweet! So we’re both working in the arts.” Hoseok speaks quickly, stepping a bit closer to you. “Maybe one day we can work together?”
You laugh, “I’d love to, when I reach a point where I have that power.”
“By the way, who were you talking to earlier?” You look up in surprise at his question, causing him to quickly amend it. “Sorry, I don’t mean to be nosy. I just noticed you seemed upset when you came back.”
“Oh, no. It’s okay. I didn’t even realize you could see me over there.” You explain, trying to wrack your brain over what he must have seen. The conversation with Jihoon did upset you but you didn’t realize how obvious that was. “Just more relationship drama.”
“Ahh, I thought so but didn’t wanna assume. I remembered you telling Namjoon last night.” He explains sheepishly, glancing at you sideways.
“I don’t wanna bore you with the details. We’re fine, anyway.”
“Well, I won’t stick my nose in it anymore than I should but I don’t think you deserve to be treated like that. I don’t know the whole situation, but you seem like a sweet girl and I hate to see some guy not know what he has.”
“Thanks, Hoseok.” For what feels like the hundredth time, you find yourself stunned by the words of one of your roommates. Being in the same relationship most of your adult life has caused your judgment to be a bit off and right now, you don’t know if Hoseok is coming on to you or just simply being nice. Come to think of it, you kinda feel that way about all your housemates. They all seem to care for you in their own way but is that normal after living here for just a week? You suppose it’s just in their nature with the way they all act like a family with each other.
When you arrived back at the residence, you told Hoseok to go on up without you so you could make a call. He smiled at you brightly, thanking you for joining him. As you turned to go find a quiet corner outside, you failed to see the way his expression darkened immediately with his gaze trained on your retreating form.
Tapping your mother’s contact name, you brought your phone up to your ear and waited. It didn’t ring very long before the line connected and her familiar voice flooded through the receiver.
“Honey, you called! I was so worried!”
“Sorry mom. I didn’t mean to take this long, I’ve just been so busy,” You explain lamely, trying to ignore the guilt looming over your shoulders as you kick a rock absentmindedly.
“I didn’t want to bother you because I know you’re independent now but please remember to call, okay? Just so I know you’re alright?” Somehow, her voice sounds older and weaker like this and you don’t know if it’s just because you haven’t been around her in a little while.
“Okay, I will. How are you guys? Is Minjun enjoying school?” You felt your heart clench at the thought of your baby brother alone at home. This was the longest you had gone without seeing him and you missed him so much.
“We’re fine, he’s doing great in school.” She answers easily before turning the subject back to you. “How are you settling in? Do you like your job? I’m sure you’re making lots of new friends.”
“I’m settling in okay and I do like my new job. I have a few friends but there’s also Nayeon and Jihoon here.” You explain, taking a breath from her rapid-fire questions.
“Are you sure you’re okay? You sound stressed, honey.” Leave it to your mom to be able to read you through a phone conversation.
“Yes, I’m fine,” You respond back almost coldly but from the silence you hear on her end, you can tell it’s not enough. “I think my nightmares are coming back.”
“What?” At her shocked tone, you instantly regret telling her that but you didn’t know who else to tell. Now, she’s definitely going to be worried. “Are they like before?”
“I’m not even sure. One was about dad and then another was from school. But I didn’t recognize anyone from there, it was just bullies.” You explain, running a hand through your hair.
“Bullies? But no one you recognized?” She sounds confused, trying to piece it together.
“Just this one lady from my work.” All you hear in a response is a hum, so you press on. “I know I had nightmares when I was younger but I can’t figure out how they stopped.”
“Yes, that was when you saw a therapist for a while. I can find the number for you, if you think it might help.” She offers.
“But that was from the hospital. I don’t want to go back there,” you respond almost defensively.
“I’m not saying that. I just mean someone to talk to.” Her response is timid and careful as if speaking to a wild animal. “Do you remember when you started feeling like this last time? How it got so bad and then-”
“Mom, stop.”
“Just please tell me if you start feeling bad again. Promise?” She sounds so worried and your heart clenches at the sound of it. You hate being the reason for your mom’s stress.
“It won’t be like that again, I promise.”
*****
“YN, I was just looking for you! We’re having a barbecue on the rooftop.” Namjoon’s voice echoed in the hallway as he made his way towards you.
“Oh, I think I might just-” You don’t know why you were reluctant to go up there but you felt like your emotions were all over the place right now. Socializing didn’t seem like the best idea right now.
“Nope! It wasn’t a request.” He smiles, spinning you around and pushing you towards the stairs leading up to the top. You sighed as you realized you wouldn’t win this fight, not with the hand lingering on the small of your back keeping you in place.
You stepped through the door held open for you and were surprised to see many of your other roommates up there. Jimin was manning the grill when he spotted you, waving at you with the tongs in his hand. Hoseok was helping Yoongi set the table while Taehyung and Jungkook were play-fighting dangerously close to the rooftop wall.
“Quit playing around and help us get ready,” Yoongi chastised the two younger men. Taehyung, who had Jungkook’s head in a chokehold under his arm, turned to respond when he saw you standing there.
“YN, you made it!” Taehyung gave you a boxy grin as his grip loosened, giving Jungkook the perfect distraction to overpower the older male. You waved, chuckling as the two continued to manhandle each other.
“We figured a barbecue would be a good way to welcome our two newest roommates,” Namjoon explains from behind you, placing a pack of beer on the table. His words cause you to glance at Hoseok, who is already watching you curiously. You offer him what you hope looks like a warm smile, which he mirrors.
“Food’s ready!” Jimin calls, carrying over a tray of fresh meat and vegetables. Everyone grabs a seat and you find yourself sitting between Hoseok and Namjoon. You hear a whine from the other side of the table and look over to see Jungkook pouting. He looks like he wants to say something but Taehyung whispers something into his ear, causing the younger one to purse his lips.
As you look around the table, you notice someone is missing. “Oh, what about Seokjin?”
You almost think you see a few nervous glances around the table before Namjoon clears his throat, “He had to take a trip somewhere, work-related I think.” Nodding slowly, you watch as the boys begin to pile food onto their plates.
“Well, he certainly missed out on this feast.” Jimin smiles at you with blushing cheeks, shyly bumping into Taehyung’s shoulder who shakes him off with a huff.
As you dig into your first bite of the food, your nose twitches at the familiar aroma. Chewing through the meat, your eyes begin to water and you realize it’s not just because of the spices. The flavor takes you back to your childhood home, in your kitchen while you watch your mom make dinner. Your mom was right, you would miss her cooking and you do right now. It’s only been a week and you can’t believe how much you miss her already.
“What’s wrong, Noona? Is the food not good?” Jungkook’s worried voice comes from across the table, causing the other boys to look over at you.
“No, the food’s great. I’m sorry.” You chuckle sadly to yourself, wiping your eyes quickly as if they hadn’t all already seen your tears. “It just reminded me of home and I didn’t realize how much I missed it.”
“Aww, YNie. You don’t have to be sorry, we understand.” Taehyung grabs your hand from across the table, squeezing it gently. “We hope this place will start to feel like home to you soon.”
You gave him a small smile, not exactly knowing how to respond. Originally, you had moved here with the mindset that it was just temporary until you could afford a better place. But now, after being around these guys all these days, you already felt like you could see yourself getting comfortable here. You weren’t sure if that was the best thing, because it probably wasn’t healthy to get attached so soon.
“How did the street busking go today?” Namjoon asks as he reaches over you to grab a side dish, his shoulder bumping into yours. You can’t help but notice how big he is compared to you, your eyes drifting to his muscular arms absentmindedly. Imagine being wrapped up in those, he’d surely crush y-
“I think it went pretty well. Right, YN?” You snap back into the conversation, blinking quickly to rid away your shameless thoughts.
“What? O-oh, yes,” You answer quickly, ignoring the blush on your cheeks as well as the snicker you hear from somewhere across the table.
“YN was the best supporter I could have asked for,” Hoseok smiles at you and you can’t help but return it, feeling a warmth spread through you at his words. “I feel like I’ll need you at all my performances now. You’re my good luck charm.”
“Yeah, right.” You shake your head, laughing lightly. “You were a natural out there.”
You quickly realize how the two of you have become the center of the table’s attention, glancing over at the varying expressions on the other boys’ faces. Some neutral, some amused - but all watchful. It’s a bit embarrassing as you realize how quiet they all have gone, simply observing your interaction silently.
Clearing your throat awkwardly, you decide to change the subject, “So how did everyone else’s day go?”
The rest of the evening went by smoothly and while it was an unexpected way to end your first week in this city, you found that you had no complaints. You had hoped to make friends soon after moving here but you never would have guessed it would happen so soon and in your own place of residence. These boys had been nothing but welcoming to you, causing you to wonder what you did to deserve this.
After everyone had their fill, some of the boys began collecting trash and you got up in an attempt to help. Yoongi grabbed your wrist, stopping you with a shake of his head. “They’ve got it. It’s only your first week here.”
You opened your mouth to argue, only to close it when you glanced over at Namjoon’s dark eyes fixed on you in a stern look. Cheeks flushing and averting your gaze, you couldn’t help but feel like you were being scolded.
Jimin returns from where he had stepped away a moment ago with a tray of small cups and a medium-sized teapot. He places it on the table before pouring a healthy amount into each cup. You reach for yours, eager for something sweet after that delicious meal.
“Jimin,” You’re staring down at the contents of your cup after taking a sip, “What’s in this?”
“What do you mean?” He asks nervously, casting a look at the other men, who in turn watch you with bated breath.
“It tastes good but something’s different about it,” You compliment him, taking a deep inhale of the sweet aroma. “Maybe honey?”
“O-oh, yes that’s right. A little cinnamon, too,” He responds coolly and you miss the way everyones’ shoulders sag in relief.
“You always make the best tea. You’ll have to teach me someday.”
“Of course,” he laughs breathily, ignoring the glares he’s receiving from your other roommates. “I’d love to.”
*****
Back in your room, you lay in bed trying to sleep but finding it hard with your mind being wide awake. The whole situation with Jihoon is trying to push itself back to the forefront of your mind despite your attempts to not think about it. You sigh as you sit up, switching on the lamp near your bed. Your gaze sweeps across the room for a moment, contemplating what will help you relax.
Thinking back on your conversation with your mom, you remember what she said about talking to someone about your current mental state. You feel that seeing your therapist right now would be unnecessary as it’s simply just work and relationship stress that you’re experiencing - what young adult isn’t? But you know your mom is just worried about you because she doesn’t want a repeat of the past so you decide to humor her.
One of the things your therapist had suggested you do in stressful times was to spend time doing something that makes you happy. For you, that was writing. It had been a while since you spent any time doing your favorite hobby so you figured now was as good a time as any.
You pulled out a notebook from your backpack, finding a pen on your desk before settling back into bed. Bringing your knees up to your chest, you flipped through the pages to jog your memory of its contents. Some of these passages you hadn’t worked on since those early days in your recovery and it was surreal to see where your headspace had been back then. It was only a few years ago but somehow seemed so far away. Most of what you wrote was poems, journal entries, and a few doodles here and there.
Reading through it for the first time in a while, you found it hard to recognize your own voice. The tone you used was so lost, varying from different ranges of anger and scared. It was only a few minutes of looking through that old notebook but eventually you had to put it down, the feeling it gave you was a bit overwhelming. You couldn’t even remember how much of it was real. You knew something bad had happened to you in high school that caused you to have a mental breakdown that ended up with one of your bullies in the hospital and you committed in a psychiatric hospital.
You knew all of this, and yet, you could barely remember most of it. There were bits and pieces that came back to you now and then but it was mostly just a blur. Your mother had to fill in all the gaps for you because your brain had decided it was too traumatic of a memory to keep. She was your rock throughout your entire time in the hospital, visiting you as much as she was permitted to. And when the girl’s family pressed charges, your mother fought tooth and nail to protect you from seeing jail time. You couldn’t believe it when the judge gave you a lesser sentence of only mandated psychiatric treatment and anger management classes. Perhaps it was the fact that she had a history of aggressive bullying, or your zombie-like state in the courtroom that proved you weren’t in your right mind.
The urge to call your mother again washed over you but you pushed it away, not wanting to worry her or bother her this late into the night. You wanted to prove to her and yourself that you had moved on from that chapter in your life. Your therapist believed that the stressful situation you had been in had caused your mental break and told you to notice similar triggers in the future to prevent it from happening again. With all the drama going on in your relationship and work, as well as living on your own for the first time in your life, you were able to realize that this could be getting into dangerous territory. But you wouldn’t allow it to overtake you again. This time would not be the same.
Glancing back at the notebook, you chewed on your lip for a moment before bringing it back over and grabbing a pen from your bag. You flipped to a blank page and stared at it for a moment, contemplating what to write.
It seemed to have helped before so why not try again?

ENEMY | Haitani Brothers x Y/n Imaushi
A/n:I was just listening to Enemy by Imagine Dragons and that idea came up :)))
Sorry for the grammer or spelling mistakes.English is not my main language so...
Thank you and love you 🥰
Warnings: gang stuffs, violence
"Is it a girl?"
At his brother's words, Rindou turned his head in the direction he was looking at and looked at the person he was looking at. He could understand why his brother was surprised. There was no room for girls in places like this, and in such a big fight.
Ran, on the other hand, was excitedly looking at the young girl who stepped into the junkyard. Her blue hair, purple and wavy eyes, and her tired face expression reminded him of someone. All eyes from the junkyard were on her when she entered the junkyard.
Rindou rolled his eyes at his older brother's surprise and called out to him. "Why do you look like you never heard? I thought you knew who she was."
"Huh?" Ran said in surprise, "I don't know who she is but I think I fell in love"
"Haaaa? Are you crazy? Just the other day, that girl said she hates us and you said if that's how the war begins?"
Ran looked at his brother in surprise and swallowed. "Okay, but I've never seen this girl before." Rindou sighed wearily and shook his head.
"She's already sent his men. That girl is the sister of the living legend Wakasa Imaushi, she currently runs the Blue Panthers."
Ran was listening to his brother with his mouth open. How could he not know this?
"Besides, she is known as Blue Lightning, Y/n Imaushi is very strong like her older brother and is on her way to becoming a legend."
Ran looked at the young girl again and smiled. "We have to melt the ice between us, Rindou, I don't want to be enemies with her."
Rindou rolled his eyes and laughed at what his brother said.
"Good luck to you but that girl hates us"
Ran sadly watched her. The young girl greeted a few people who greeted her. She had a pretty sweet face and a nice body. It was obvious that she got her genes from the Imaushi family.
When the young girl felt that someone was watching her, she turned her head in that direction and made eye contact with the person watching her. Although Ran was nervous at first, he smiled at her and bowed his head, and the young girl bowed her head with a serious expression and greeted the braided boy.
Although Ran was deeply pleased with this move, he didn't show it. After all, he started a war with the girl's gang. When he remembered this, he turned to face uneasily.
...
The fight was over. Everyone was dispersing. Ran also told his men that they were going to go and got up from his seat.
Surprised by the sound he heard on his way to their motorcyle, Ran turned to the direction of the sound and Rindou looked at his older brother.
A few gang members were pinching the girl he had just admired, and the young girl did not react. Also, her men were nowhere to be seen.
When the man came one step closer to her, she smiled calmly and punched the person. Before he could even react, she kicked the one behind him and knocked two people down within seconds. Rindou was just as surprised as Ran.
Ran smiled proudly and looked at Rindou, and Rin rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"I want to get to know her. She's amazing." As Rindou looked at her brother in surprise, Ran had already gone to where the girl was.
Just as someone was going to hit the girl in the back with a stick, Ran put his baton on the boy's head and smiled broadly.
"You're welcome"
As Y/n looked at him in surprise, she kicked the man approaching from behind Ran and knocked him down.
"You're welcome, too"
Ran smiled at the young girl's reaction and shook his head.
"Y/n-chan!"
The young girl gasped and looked at the boy in front of her.
"Don't call me that!"
Ran smiled big and the young girl rolled her eyes.
"What do you want ?" Ran smiled broadly and extended his hand.
"I want a truce!"
Rindou and y/n simultaneously reacted to Ran's loud and cheerful voice
"Eh?!"

(adebayo seems to be the only one who really gives her a chance). adrian notices and does something about it.pls? thank u!
I’m so excited about this one shot series!! Just like the Black Widow series these all can be read on their own.
Witch reader masterlist
Warning: cursing, minor angst, violence, mentions of sex, and self doubts
Since dating Adrian, thing had finally started to look up for you. You loved him. You spent any time you could with him, when he wasn’t being Vigilante. You knew about the task force and fully supported Adrian even offering to help if he ever needed it, but in all honesty..You were nervous to meet his friends.
People weren’t really your cup of tea. You had been shunned most of your life by everyone because of the fact that you were a witch. People hated you because of this.
You’d been threatened and the book shop you owned has been vandalized occasionally. The rumors of you and your family spread all over town, so meeting Adrian’s friends was terrifying to you.
He says he doesn’t care about their opinion, but you knew he did. These are his work colleagues. He fights beside them and trust them with his life. You knew Adrian didn’t have many friends and that this group meant the world to him. You wanted them to like you. That lead to today.
You sighed grabbing your step stool to stack the books on the highest shelf. You’d just gotten a new shipment. Looking up hearing the bell ring, you smiled seeing Adrian. “Hey!” Adrian grinned walking to you. “What are you doing here? I thought we were hanging out tonight-” “I want you to meet my best friends.”
You dropped the book you were holding. He picked up the book for you handing it to you. “Oh..are you sure?” Adrian nodded helping you off the step stool. “So will you?” He grinned at you. “Um..I guess..” Adrian cheered a bit.
“Oh you’re gonna love them and they’re gonna love you. I told them how my girlfriend is this hot badass! They don’t think you exist, but now they will.” Adrian gave you a kiss. “I’ll pick you up at eight!”
“Wait this is happening tonight?!” “Yup see you soon love you!!” “Love you too..” You mumbled out in shock. “Fuck..” You cursed. What the hell did you just agree too?..
You stood in front of you mirror. Does this look nice enough? You don’t look intimidating right? “Wow you look hot..” You turned seeing Adrian. “How did you get in-” “You left the door downstairs in the shop unlocked. You really need to remember to lock it. You live right upstairs what if I had been a thief or a creep.”
“I mean no one really wants to rob me just kill me.” “That does not make me feel better.” You chuckled a bit as Adrian shook his head. “Alright you ready?” You nodded. “I think..” “Okay you don’t worry! You guys are gonna get along so great!” You smiled a bit as he dragged you off to his car.
“Wait let me lock up!” Adrian nodded waiting for you. “Okay let’s go.” You sat in the car nervously. Were you ready for this? You sat there tensed before relaxing feeling Adrian’s hand on your thigh. He hummed a small tune smiling excitedly. You couldn’t ruin this for him. He’s been wanting this for so long.
You walked into the bar fiddling with your hands trying not to show your nerves. Maybe you should cast a relaxing spell on yourself. No it’s too late they’re waving you both over. Adrian held your hand dragging you to the table.
“Sup!” He sat pulled you close to him. “Hey dude.” John called out. They all looked shock seeing you. “This is Y/N!” Chris smiled a bit. “So this is the town witch.” You took a small step back scared. “Witch?” Emilia looked at him. Chris nodded. “Yeah it’s stupid rumors.” You waved your hand. “Nice to meet you all. Adrian talks about you guys a lot.” Adebayo shot you a smile.
“Nice to meet you Y/N come on sit.” You smiled sitting down. Adrian kissed your cheek. “I’m gonna get us some drinks.” You nodded as he walked off. “So witch..” You looked to Emilia who spoke. “What do you do?” “Oh I own a book shop not far from here.” John nodded. “Cool.”
“Thanks..” “Do you sell spell books?” Chris laughed a bit. “No I don’t. I have all types of books though if any of you would like to come by.” “No thanks.” Emilia shot you a tight smile. You looked down. Adebayo glared at all of them. Chris laughed a bit as John looked away.
“So how did you and Adrian meet?” She asked you with a small smile. “Oh he stopped by my shop at some point and helped me clean my window-” “Clean your window?” John asked you confused. “Yeah it was vandalized, but from there we just kinda grew.” “Maybe it’s a good thing your window was vandalized then.” Chris spoke up taking a drink. You nodded.
“I guess..” Emilia staring was making you uncomfortable. John looked like he was dreading sitting here with you and Chris looked awkward. He didn’t know what to say to you. Adebayo seemed like the nicest one. Well from what you could tell. Where the hell is Adrian?
“So witch.” Emilia smiled at you, “Why does the town seemed scared of you? Since you sat down there’s been people who keep looking this way.” You sighed. “It’s because of the rumor that I am a witch..” “Well are you?” You chuckled under your breath. “I neither confirm nor deny.” She nodded.
“Dude that’s dumb. If you’re not just say you aren’t so people can leave you alone.” John butted in before looking away again. He seemed annoyed with you. “Yeah I agree. You’re just being dumb for no reason.” Chris agreed with him. “So are you or aren’t you?” You shook a bit growing overwhelmed.
“You guys leave it alone. Why does it matter if she’s a witch or not?” Adebayo butted in. Emilia shrugged. “What is she casted a spell to make Adrian fall in love with her?” Chris joked. You bit your lip trying to keep yourself together. Adebayo noticed. “She wouldn’t do that even if she was an actual witch.”
“Well we don’t really know her do we Adebayo?” Emilia chimed in taking a drink of her beer. “I just wanna know if it’s true or not because I wanna know why the town seems scared of her.” Chris laughed.
“I doubt it. Aren’t witches supposed to have brooms and voodoo shit?” “Did you really just describe the stereotypical witch?” Adebayo gave him a small look as you took a deep breath. “Hey sorry that took a while. That was a long ride.” “It’s okay..” You mumbled out to him. He gave you a smile. “So what did I miss?” “You missed nothing.” You chimed in.
You didn’t want to ruin this for him.
“Good. So did Y/N tell you about her cool bookshop-” “Dude is your girlfriend a witch?” Chris asked him. “Why does it matter if she is?” Adrian looked confused. “We were asking her, but she kept avoiding it. Plus the people in the bar keep looking at her.” John sighed. Adrian shrugged. “Would guys be bothered if she is?” You smiled a bit at his words.
“She seems a bit sketchy is all. She’s hiding something.” Emilia finished her drink staring at you. John sighed. Adebayo shook her head, “Guys leave it alone we should all try to have a nice time.”
You sat there just wanting the ground to swallow you up. “I mean if she was do you even really like her Adrian or was it a spell-” You slammed your fist on the table cutting Chris off. “I need to go. Lovely meeting all of you. Adrian I’ll see you when I see you.”
Adrian tried to reach for your hand, but you pushed it away grabbing your bag storming off. Everyone looked up seeing the lights flicker. “Oh shit.” Chris laughed a bit. John smiled a bit. “Maybe she is-” “What the fuck is wrong with all of you?” They looked at Adrian surprised to see him grow angry.
You sighed tearing up a bit on the walk home. Making it your shop and home. You unlocked the door closing it before locking up. You didn’t want anyone to come in not even Adrian, so as much as it hurt you casted a spell for no one to bother you. The way people thought of you never bothered you, but these were people the person you loved the most cared about.
So this hurt like a bitch. You hadn’t felt this embarrassed since the time a boy had asked you out just to have all his friends egg you when you showed up. They made you run home calling you a witch the entire time you ran.
You laid in bed letting yourself cry for a bit before falling asleep.
The next morning, you awoke dreading getting up to open your shop. You fell asleep in the clothes you wore the night before. One day without opening wouldn’t hurt your business right? No it would.
Sighing you showered quickly before heading downstairs for the day. Flipping your sign to open you removed the spell from the night before. The only nice one from the night was Adebayo. Maybe she’d tell Adrian that it wasn’t your fault..Fuck what if he broke up with you?
You jumped hearing a bell chime. Speak of the devil, it was Adebayo. “Wow your shop is so nice...” You looked at her in surprise. You nodded. “Uh thanks..what are you doing here?” “You said to check out your shop when we got a chance.”
“Oh...um go ahead and look around if you’d like I also sell tea.” She shook her head. “i’m okay. Actually I wanted to talk to you.” “You did?” She nodded. “I did. I wanted to apologize for our behavior last night-” “it’s okay-” “No it was not. You gotta understand something Harcort takes a while to warm up to people. Chris is just an ass in general and John senses when it’s tense so it makes him tense too.”
You sighed looking down, “Plus I’m pretty sure they all will be coming in here to apologize.” You looked at her confused. “What makes you say that?” Adebayo laughed a bit. “None of us knew he had it in him, but Adrian ripped them all an new one last night.” “He did?..”
She nodded. “If you stuck around you would’ve heard it. He said...”
“What the fuck is wrong with you guys.” Chris looked at him in confusion. “Dude what’s wrong?”
“I was so fucking excited to prove to all of you that she was real and for you guys to all get along. What you guys can’t be nice for one night? I expected this from Harcourt. But not from all of you. Especially you, Chris. You’re my fucking best friend and you couldn’t even fucking treat my girlfriend with the respect she fucking deserves. None of you even fucking gave her a chance except Adebayo from what I’m seeing.”
“Adrian-” Emilia sighed speaking up. “Save it. I’m out of here too.” Adrian stormed out immediately going to your shop. He sighed seeing it locked knowing he was gonna have to wait till tomorrow. You were ignoring all of his calls and texts.
“He really said all of that..” Adebayo nodded. “He didn’t talk to any of us when he came in today for our debriefing..Called them all backstabbers and not true BFF’s.” She chuckled as you smiled a bit. “He’s really worried for you by the way complained the entire time how you were ignoring his calls.”
“Oh shit! My phone died on my walk home!” Adebayo sighed. “Give him a call okay?” You nodded. “Will do.” You both looked up hearing the bell chime again. It was Chris this time. “Wow Adebayo had to take my idea to apologize to her.”
“Shut the fuck up dude.I was the one who said you guys should all stop by to apologize.” Chris scoffed. “Yeah you sure it wasn’t me who said that?” You looked away as he looked at you.
“Look I am here to apologize. I shouldn’t have said some of those things about you. Adrian really loves you. Blah blah!..” “I didn’t cast a love spell on him...” “What?” Chris asked in confusion.
“Last night you said I casted a love spell on him, but I would never do that. To anyone for that matter..Especially not Adrian..” Chris sighed. “I know. I can be an asshole at times. I was just joking, but I realize now that was not okay to joke about.” “Are you apologizing cause you want too or because Adrian is forcing you too?”
“I wanted too and it did kinda help that Adrian threatened to no longer give me rides when I’m drunk.” You laughed. “Okay...you guys head out now.” Adebayo nodded as Chris picked up a book. “I’ll pay for this later-” You used your magic bringing the book to you. “You’ll pay for it now.” Adebayo and Chris looked in shock. “You’re a witch..”
“I never denied it..I just didn’t appreciate you guys making me seem like a bitch. Now are you paying for the book or not?” Chris nodded immediately pulling his wallet out. “Here you go.” You smiled handing him his change.
“If you see Adrian tell him-” The door chimed again this time Emilia walked in. “Crap what the fuck are two doing here?” Chris smirked.
“Same reason as you.” John trailed in behind her holding a small box. “So we’re all here to own up to our mistakes nice.” He approached you handing you the box. “Adrian said you liked chocolate so..” “Thank you John..”
Emilia sighed, “I don’t trust people I know are hiding something.” You smiled handing her a chocolate with your magic. She looked down in shock. “I didn’t appreciate the rude interrogation, but if this makes you feel better.”
“Woah..” John muttered out. “Look I guess we’re all here because we owe you an apology and some other day if you’d be willing maybe we could all hang out without being jerks to you.” You smiled nodding.
“Sure..” Emilia nodded. “Please tell Chase we apologized. I can’t stand his moping.” You laughed nodding. Right as they decided to leave, Adrian walked in. “Oh thank god I can finally come in.” You smiled at him as he looked confused. “What are you guys doing here?” He looked at you.
“They didn’t tell you anything did they-” “No they did not. They actually apologized.” Adrian grinned hearing you. “Good as you all should now get out of her shop unless you’re buying something.” They nodded walking out. He approached you. “You locked your door last night..” “Isn’t that what you wanted me to do?..”
“It is. I mean I want you to be safe and all, but you scared me. Did you keep me out last night?” You nodded. “I thought your friends were gonna convince you to leave me so I wanted to avoid you.” Adrian sighed shaking his head. “You know I wouldn’t do that right?” You looked away deciding to go make yourself tea. Adrian grabbed you pulling you back.
“No I would never fucking leave you. Dude I don’t know if you noticed, but like I love you.” You chuckled a bit. “I love you too. I’m sorry I overreacted last night-” “You didn’t. You’re always reassuring me that I don’t overreact so this is me telling you.” You smiled as he kissed you.
“Come on close for the day..” ‘I just opened Adrian.” “Please..” You sighed using your magic to lock the door and flip the sign. Adrian grinned. “By the way, your friends know I’m a witch. I trust you’ll make sure they keep it a secret.”Adrian laughed. “Trust me they will. They’re pretty good people.” You nodded. “Yeah they are...”
“Now that they know you’re a witch though. We’re probably gonna reach out if we ever need help.” You nodded. “I can’t wait for it.” You smiled hauling him upstairs with you for some fun..

My high-school worst enemy | Park Jimin ff part 2
summary: Park Jimin was a jerk and you hated him your entire time in high school but what happens when he's not the asshole he appears to be?
genre: fluff and angst.
warnings: cussing, a bit of bullying and violence.
Your face was stuffed with kimchi but you were too hungry to care. You were on a diet and today was your cheat day. You were expected to lose weight before the huge basketball game between the top schools in the country, your school happened to be one of them. "Stop stuffing your mouth with so much food, you'll choke you dumbass!" Jungkook said sounding a bit irritated. "Then stop eating damn slow, the food will get cold you shithead!" You retorted before poking your tongue out at him. "Stop it! That's gross!" He whined while you laughed and decided to tease him by calling him the name he hated the most "Okay Jungkookie." ''Can you stop teasing me?What on Earth did I do in my past life to have someone as stupid as you?" He groaned exasperatedly "It's just fun seeing your reaction." "Can we go now?" "Sure."
Jungkook had been your bestfriend ever since you were in diapers, his mom and your mom were best friends since high school which kind of brought you closer. He has seen you in your worst state as well as your best. He was also your neighbour which meant you both went to school together. He knew all your secrets as much as you knew his. You knew each other too well and could tell when one was lying. You were always attached by the hip causing many people you encounter to mistake you as his girlfriend not knowing his real girlfriend was Lisa the volleyball captain in xxxx high school. They decided to keep their relationship secret for privacy reasons. Jungkook was a basketball player too so he had many fangirls. Due to his relationship he hasn't been around often.
''So, are you coming for the game?" Jungkook asked out of the blues. You gave him a 'seriously' look. "What, why are you looking at me like I am stupid?" He asked clueless "Did you forget that I'm a cheerleader?" "Oh, totally forgot, it's in three weeks." ''I know." "No cold feet?" He asked curiosity lacing his tone. "None." You answer confidently "As if.'' He scoffed playfully before hitting your head and running off. "Hey, wait up you asshole!" you shouted chasing after him.
It was another miserable day at school and you were on a phone call with your brother Taehyun. He was telling you about coming to the event as well. He went to another school and was coincidentally also a basketball player, this was why he and Jungkook were very close. He was annoying but you loved him that way. Everyone in your family were sporty or athletic one way or the other, you were a fast sprinter but you only ran outside of school. You could hear the smile in his voice as he was ranting excitedly about the basketball game. "Bye oppa, love you!" You said grinning so wide your cheeks began hurting. "Bye sis, love you too!". You cut the call still grinning, until you felt your phone being snatched away from you. And then your smile dropped looking at Jimin holding up your phone in his right hand. You tried jumping to get your phone but you were damn too short and it was no use, you cursed your height in your mind. "Never seen you smile that wide, what caused it to drop huh?" He asked while smirking. Typical him, he knew you hated him yet he made it his life mission to annoy you ever since that day.
''Coming from someone who only thinks with his dick." You bit back. ''Just give me my fucking phone!" You said gritting your teeth changing your expression to an angry scowl. Jimin laughed. Gosh, he really did love to see you suffer. "Just say you want to wet it, babe." He said with a stupid smug smile that you were so tempted to slap off his face, but you knew better. You internally cringed at the nickname. " You looked up at him ''Don't you ever call me that again, or else..." You threatened. He scoffed and raised an arched brow "Or else what?" He asked mockingly. You smirked and kicked him in the balls, not too hard though. But it was hard enough to hurt. His eyes widened as he lowered himself to hold his penis with his hands making it easier to reach your phone.
You took your phone and said "This.'' With a huge grin. You went to your next class grinning from ear to ear. You felt like a savage queen- no a bad ass bitch. You squealed internally. You were definitely gonna tell Jungkook this. Your mood was now brightened seeing Jimin in pain. Even though he deserved worse. A nice way to end your break.
