Mmh nah, i'd say chemistry is a combination of factors that goes well beyond just dynamic. I think Blacksun and Bumbleby have more or less equal chemistry (again, that wonderful light/darkness aestetic). Unless we want to get nitpicky about it, but thats opening a whole new Pandora box.

I'd say Bumbleby has more narrative and blacksun has more hmmm dynamic? Can't really find a better word for it. I mostly mean that Blacksun has more interactions finalized at highlighting the kind of relationship they have with each other over working on their arc. You know Sun does something dorky and Blake smiles (eg). Bumbleby kinda lets that develop on its own and leaves slightly more space for fans to elaborate on it. Mostly because all the Blake and Yang interactions are taken up by the angsty storytelling. But i see V7 is starting to work on it.

edit: hmm so what i mean is that blake and yang probably haven't gotten the chance to just do their thing and spend quality time together just yet. blacksun did and that allowed for a better showcasing on their relationship. on the other hand i seriously wish blacksun got a personal arc on their own to solify the connection they have with each other, if that makes sense...since like, they got the whitefang arc...but in the end it was all about blake. sun barely fit into it as an info dump and a skilled fighter. it would have been cool for them to have a common enemy equally important to BOTH of them, but i also understand that sun isn't a protagonist and as a consequence he can't really get that kind of threatment...

DEFS more into Blacksun… (as my RWBY posts might give away. tho if sunnybees can become canon i’d be ALL over that)

It’s more a matter of preferred dynamic than anything else. Bumblebee, to me, feels very intense. Or that’s definitely how the FNDM is playing with it, at least. we talking VERY ANGSTY, ROMANTIC, DRAMATIC, SOULMATES type jazz. Which is PRIME OTP material. 

Blacksun on the hand feels more peaceful to me. Not to say that relationships should have no hardship but, it just gives off this light pleasant energy when i think about it. 

To sum it up ( coz i think this is MORE information than you wanted, me bro sorry)

its a difference of NEEDING and WANTING.

You can deffs get the vibe that Blake and Yang NEED eachother. Blake was devastated that Yang got hurt because of her and Yang is deffs heartborken that Blake left.

Sun doesn’t NEED Blake. He followed along to help her out with no clear indication that he wanted something in return. BUT you can tell that he does like (WANT) to have her around. 

Blake (by the beginning of volume 6, certainly) doesn’t NEED Sun but you get the vibe that she definitely WANTS him around.

 …and the idea that someone who has everything they need…STILL WANTS YOU WITH THEM…is pretty damn sweet, imo.

(that’s just how i see it, though…)
