davekatsprite^2!!!
davekatsprite^2.... he would be AWFUL! he loves being passive aggressive and grinning while tearing into people. insults are his coping mechanism, he can't stand the idea people want to be around him willingly
i also included a fun godtier idea inspired by the csau... i love the idea of godtiering sprites
the karkat in this universe is still alive, the karkatsprite who prototypes^2 with davesprite was sent from a doomed timeline to the alpha timeline by a doomed aradia, using her time travel music box
davesprite did abandon the sword, but karkatsprite's whole... karkatism... re-manifested the sword in his chest. this guy doesn't get a break. he has all the complexes. all of them. he may isolate himself from any possible friends but also he is the first to step in line to defend them

“LIFE MISSION: SAVE MY BROTHERS” 💖 The Red Knight’s Mission (Episode 1: The Buried Memory Page 28-41)
Tumblr media
and, finally, the last set for this episode. this was actually harder to get through compared to the rest of the sets, physically and emotionally 😭 drawing leo grieving broke me and i cried like a baby sketching that panel. i wish i could add more panels in but i didn't want to drag out the comic too long and give myself too much work. it was supposed to play out similarly to "E-Turtle Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" where leo's memories pushed back against him to avoid painful memories but i feel like that would've destroyed the vibe and somberness of the softer moments. plus it'll make the episode much MUCH longer. also leo didn't actually lose the colors of his scarf. it was more for symbolic reasons. and if the last panel of page 35 looks familiar, i took inspiration from the movie and imitated the expression mikey had when he tried to open the portal for the third time to save leo. (no, i did not trace it) it may or may not be foreshadowing for later đŸ€ and yeah, the comic will be taking a hiatus

. to make more of the comic 😂 dw it's not for mental health or personal life reasons
actually it's partly that because i have an upcoming VISA interview 😭 bUT i'll still be making LM stuff behind the scenes, dw >:3 next episode won't be as drama or action packed as this one but
we will meet raph for the first time 👀 i'm really rEALLY excited to work more on the comic, and that's TWO reallys! i just hope y'all will be patient with me because it is no easy feat working on this. i love it but i'm only one person, after all 😄 thank you so so much for supporting this comic again! comments and shares are very much appreciated! 💖 BEGINNING / PREV / NEXT EPISODE (coming this april) ‱

Your eyes hurt from crying so much. Just the reminder of why you're here talking to Yoongi makes your chest ache but you needed to talk. Maybe it was stupid of you because the vampire before you has his head cradled in his hands after he heard what you had to say but it's too late to take it back now.
Yoongi stays silent with his fingers halfway through his hair. He grips the strands tightly and loosens them after a second. The way he goes without answering makes you freak out a little making you rub your hands between each other.
"I'm sorry," you say. "I shouldn't-"
He cuts you off with a finger raised in your direction effectively silencing you. You swallow deeply and wait for him to sit up with a deep sigh. Licking his lips he looks towards the ceiling and just stares until he can finally find the right words to tell you.
"You know if Hoseok finds out about this that's it. You're never leaving his room ever again."
You ball up your hands into fists to stop the way they shake. "I know."
Yoongi turns to look at you. "And you're not joking, right? You actually did this?"
He won't say exactly what you told him. How you and Namjoon have been sneaking behind Hoseok's back to hook up. How just a couple of minutes ago you did just that. Right before Namjoon told you the truth. The way he took your heart and broke it apart so ruthlessly. The sound of his laughter still rings in your head.
You nod before looking down at your lap.
Yoongi releases another sigh but this time he sounds absolutely exhausted. As if hearing what you said is draining him dry. A thought strikes you then causing you to nervously look his way.
"Do you think he'll tell Hoseok?"
Yoongi shakes his head. "Namjoon is stupid but he's not that stupid. He knows that if he does say something Hoseok will never let him live it down. They may be brothers but that's a grudge I don't think Hoseok will ever let go of." He scratches his face. "Why though?"
Your brows draw together in confusion. He sees your reaction and elaborates further.
"Why did you tell me all of this?"
You shrug. "I hate being here but after what just happened it's also come to hurt. I don't want to be here anymore and if not Minjeong you can help me get out."
He purses his lips as he looks off towards the side.
You know you really hit him hard with bad news that's making him question your sanity you're sure. And you also know you put him in a precarious situation between two brothers with their own issues. You can't imagine how this is making him feel right now but you hope this plea of yours will be heard.
Turning his attention back towards you he hums. "I'm going to need some time. You know that, right? We need a time where some if not all my brothers are gone from the house and it cant be obvious that it's me who helped you escape. I was the only one home when Minjeong left. If the same happens with you people will start asking questions. And Seokjin's lapdogs are already hot on your heels. I'm actually surprised no one caught you and Namjoon while knowing that."
You hate it but you know he's right.
Yoongi sighs again and crosses his arms. "And you need money and a place to stay."
"I have money," you say.
"From where?"
"From my old job. I saved up a lot."
He quirks a brow up in interest. "Did you open the account yourself or did the Baeks do it?"
You frown a little. "They did it for me."
He sucks his teeth. "You need to take that money out if the account is still open. They could close it whenever they want. I'm actually surprised you still have access to it... You do, right?"
You nod your head but then you send a questioning look his way. "When would be the best time to take it all out? As you know I'm stuck with Hoseok most of the time."
Yoongi purses his lips while he thinks. "It's not your first time leaving the house without him. I can take you out in guise of just wanting to spend time with you. We'll take all your money out then."
"Okay," you softly say.
"All that's left is to find you a place."
"Maybe Minjeong can help with that?"
"I don't have her number."
"I do."
Both his eyebrows raise in interest but before he can ask you answer.
"The day at the mall when we ran into her, she managed to pass me a note with her number on it. I have her listed under a different name so that if Hoseok finds it he won't know it's her."
Yoongi slowly nods his head. "Alright. Maybe we can work something out with her." He continues to nod until something hits him then. "Wait."
You hum questioningly. "What?"
He sends a look your way you don't like.
"What are you going to do without my brother's saliva?"
Realization dawns upon you then. Fuck. He's right.
This always seems to be the topic of conversation when it comes to these vampires and the option to go to a rehab looms over you.
As if he knows where your mind is going Yoongi speaks up.
"If you go to a rehab it'll have to be far from here. Hoseok wouldn't hesitate to find you the minute he knows you're gone and I don't doubt one of the first places he'll look into are rehab centers."
You don't want to go to a rehab. You didn't want to back when you were with your former Masters and you don't want to now either, but you're left with little options.
"I doubt Minjeong would be willing to help with that," you say but Yoongi shakes his head.
"I don't know if Minjeong's saliva is anything like ours but even then don't think about it. I'd prefer you make it out of here with me knowing you'll get some help."
Your form visibly deflates but you know he's just trying to do things right. The high is the only good thing about Hoseok and you're going to miss that. Tremendously.
Yoongi takes a deep breath in and gives another sigh with it. "Talk to Minjeong when you can and whatever she says relay it back to me. I want us to be on the same page. For now though we'll have to act like nothing is up. You can't leave just yet."
You nod before you're hit with a thought. "What about Namjoon?"
Yoongi hums. "Hoseok can't know anything."
"I know but I really don't want to be in a room alone with him... Not after today."
He sees the way a wave of sadness falls over you and hesitantly places a hand on your shoulder.
"Stick with Hoseok as much as possible. If he offers for you to stay with Namjoon let him know you'd rather be with him. Don't be too obvious about wanting to avoid our brother though because he'll suspect something is up."
You nod along to his words.
"And if for some reason you end up alone with Namjoon ignore him. I know that's easier said than done by don't take whatever bait he throws your way. Even if he says he wants to apologize don't fall for it. It'll just be another lie of many more to come."
It hurts knowing that this is how things are going to be between you and Namjoon. You enjoyed being with him. Fell for his affection that you now know to be fake. You wonder maybe if you wouldn't have confessed to him would he still have pretended to be yours?
You don't want to think about it. The wound is too fresh right now.
"Hey."
You look at Yoongi who gives you a soft look. He squeezes your shoulder gently before releasing you.
"It'll be okay. You'll see."
You can only hum in response.
He stands up from his bed and walks over to his nightstand where his phone lies. Picking it up he checks for the time and looks at you.
"It's going to be a while before Hoseok comes back. You're welcome to stay here until he does."
You look down at your bare feet and the shoes that lie by your side. You could stay here but right now you feel gross. After having done what you did with Namjoon - back before now you would have glowed but now you just feel dirty and used.
"I want to wash up first." The words leave you softly.
Yoongi grabs the remote that was next to his phone and turns on the TV. "Well when you're done you know where to find me."
You give him one last look before you grab your shoes and stand.
To be honest you don't want to be alone and you're thankful Yoongi is giving you a place to stay until Hoseok gets back. For now though you need to hide and lick your wounds so you can begin to heal. Even if you never fully do you need to at least try.
When you leave his room you look around you. Two maids are heading down towards the stairs and don't notice you coming out. You look off towards the direction of Namjoon's room but you don't see him. You wonder if he's still in there or if he left but you're not about to stick around and find out.
You hurriedly make your way to Hoseok's room and slip in. Once the door is closed silence is all that joins you. It's deafening after everything and you can't stand it.
Sighing you make your way over to the closet and drop your shoes off where Hoseok keeps them. You find fresh new pajamas and toss the ones from before and the clothes you wear now into the hamper. More than anything you want Namjoon's scent off of you and you actually feel bad knowing Hoseok will be able to smell him if he passes by the hamper. Not because you feel for Hoseok but because it'll serve as a reminder that you were with his brother. It makes you remove them and pull out some of the clothes that way you can bury them deep within the basket. With that done you head towards the shower.
You turn the water on and set it for something warm. Warmer than usual. As that settles you look into the mirror and see how puffy your face looks from all the crying. The sight of it makes your brows draw together as you frown.
The urge to cry is still there. When you have your heart broken that will happen to you. You feel stupid and embarrassed. Were there any signs you should have looked out for? Maybe there were you were just too absorbed in your emotions to care.
Namjoon's laughter still rings in your ears and the sound of it makes another wave of embarrassment to come over you.
Gods you're so stupid. When will you learn not to trust people so easily?
Fresh tears pool out of your eyes. You can't bring yourself to continue staring at your reflection so you turn around and head to the shower.
When the water touches your skin you welcome the slight burn. You need to wash yourself off of Namjoon. You feel violated in so many ways.
"I should have gotten you to jerk me off before breaking the news."
A broken sob leaves you and you find yourself full on crying now. You have to sit on the seating in the shower and cover your face as you cry.
It hurts. So much. Why did things have to be this way? Why do you have to be in so much pain and all because Namjoon saw you as fresh game? You were nothing but entertainment for him. Entertainment that willingly gave themself up. How could you be so stupid? There's no other answer to that other than that's just how you are. Stupid. It honestly makes you laugh a little but in a self-deprecating manner.
After a while of crying you stand up to shower. You want him off of you and you use the somewhat hot water to do that. Use your soap to do that. Scrub away at your skin to do that. You even wash your hair. All to be rid of Namjoon.
When you're done you feel raw but clean. Physically speaking because inside your soul you're far from it. After doing your skincare routine you get dressed in your pajamas and take the time to dry your hair. You want to take care of yourself after the blow you took so you take your time. You don't know how long it's been since everything that happened so you check the time and see that it's late into the day. Only the gods know how long it's going to take before Hoseok comes back. You could stay in his room until then despite Yoongi's offer. You feel embarrassed but you decide that yeah, staying with Yoongi might be better. Staying alone with your thoughts doesn't sound appealing to you. At all. So you put on your slippers with phone in hand and make your way back over to the thoughtful vampire. You're sure to check the halls though as you head over. You really don't want to bump into Namjoon. No one is in sight though and so you quickly make your way back to Yoongi.
You knock on the door and hear a soft "Come in" from inside. When you open the door you see Yoongi sat on his chair with a keyboard sat before him and on a foldable table something with many colorful squares on it and a laptop. His headphones are resting around his neck as he takes the chance to look at you.
"Better," he asks.
You nod your head.
He brings up the left part of his headphones up to cup his ear and presses the keyboard. It's silent so you suspect he can hear it through the headphones.
"You're welcome to watch TV while I work here."
"Are you sure?" You frown. "I don't want to bother you."
"You won't be bothering me. I wouldn't have invited you to stay if I thought you would be a bother."
You give him a barely there smile but it's enough for him to see and smile back.
You look at the TV he's left on for you and see it's showing a movie. It's one you've seen before and liked so you leave it on to watch.
Sitting on his bed you're afraid to do more than just that. You sit on the edge of his bed and just stare at the TV.
"You can lay in bed, Y/N."
Your brows shoot up as you look at Yoongi. He isn't even looking at you as he continues to mess with his things. You don't question him though as you slip off your slippers and settle into the middle of his bed. It's unmade and so you take the chance to slip beneath the silky smooth sheets and settle them up to your waist as you sit up against the pillows.
Your time spent here is finishing the movie that was on when you came here and getting a little over the halfway mark of the second one when your brain tries to remind you about what happened. It dampens your mood causing you to sigh. You pick up your phone to check out the games you have on it - anything to keep you distracted. It's when you unlock it do you realize something. You can text Minjeong. You access your contacts and find the pseudonym you have for her. Yoongi said to contact her and tell him everything she had to say. You wonder if she's available now but you'll give it a shot and see.
You: Minjeong?
You purse your lips and place the phone down to watch the movie again. You're giving Minjeong time to get back to you but you have to admit you're a little nervous. What if everything falls through? You don't even have a plan yet but you're expecting the worse.
You should have a little more faith in Yoongi, you think. He's really going to go out of his way to try and help you. And you don't know Minjeong that well but it seems like she truly wants to help too. After everything she's been through with Hoseok she came all this way to see you to try and help anyway. Would you have gone that far for a stranger? You honestly don't know.
Your phone vibrates after a moment and you're quick to pick it up but when you check you frown when you see it's from Hoseok instead.
Hoseok: I'm sorry I'm not home yet baby but this stuff takes a while. We'll more than likely do some today and the rest another time but for now just hold on.
Hoseok: I hope Namjoon isn't boring you or anything lol
Your frown grows deeper at the mention of his brother.
What should you type back?
You: It's okay.
But is it? You quickly type out a response to follow your two words.
You: Things are fine.
They are because you're with Yoongi but you won't mention that. You don't want Hoseok asking questions right now so you keep quiet about it.
Immediately afterwards Hoseok sends two emojis your way. A â˜ș and 😘 stare back at you but you make no effort to write back.
You place the phone back down and after a minute it buzzes again and you pick it up with clenched teeth thinking it's Hoseok but you're surprised to see it's Minjeong instead.
Dawn: Who is this?
You're quick to type back in hopes of getting a positive response.
You: It's Y/N. This is Minjeong right?
You trap your bottom lip between your teeth as you stare at the screen.
Minjeong wouldn't have given you a fake number you're sure but you just needed to make sure it was her you were texting.
Dawn: Y/N! Yes it's me. How are you?
Distraught and embarrassed for starters but you won't say that - instead something else.
You: I'm okay I guess...
You: You were right. About Namjoon. He isn't who I thought he was.
When you press send you have to bite your lip harder to prevent the urge to cry.
The answer comes after a few seconds.
Dawn: I'm sorry Y/N. I don't know who you thought he was to you but now you see the truth. None of the brothers can be trusted. Only Yoongi.
You: I see that now..
You pause with a sniffle. No. You're not going to cry over Namjoon again. You won't let him have that power over you.
Minjeong doesn't text you back but you don't want to end it here. You have to start making a plan.
You: Yoongi admitted that he saved you. He's willing to help me get out too. Money isn't an issue but I need a place to stay.
You: He said I should go to a rehab but not near here. Do you maybe know any around you? How far do you live if that's okay to know?
It takes a while for a response. So much so that you figure she's either busy or hesitant to tell you where she lives. You wouldn't blame her then if that's the case. How can she trust that you won't say anything to Hoseok? She doesn't know you like that. But when you least expect it she answers you.
Dawn: I live around 7-8 hours away which is enough distance needed between you and Hoseok. I can look into rehab centers for you and I'll let you know what I find.
Dawn: How much money do you have? Unless you have health insurance you'll need to pay for your stay and once you're better we'll need to find you a home.
You know she's right. You don't know how much they'll charge you at the rehab and you don't plan on overstaying more than you need to. You saved enough money you believe so you tell her.
You: Trust me it's enough. I've been saving since I first started working and that's when I was 13.
Dawn: That sounds good. Even then I'll be willing to help with any expenses you might need so don't think you'll be alone in this.
That's kind of her. To be honest the whole idea of escaping has you nervous because of the what-ifs but having both Minjeong and Yoongi by your side makes you feel a little better.
You: Thank you. Honestly.
Dawn: It's no problem.
Dawn: After everything, if you feel comfortable to, we can set up a restraining order against Hoseok for you. I want to make sure he's out of your life for good.
She's making sure to let you know she'll go through thick and thin for you. It sounds almost too good to be true but she proved to you how far she'll go when she came all this way to see you at the mall.
7-8 hours. That's how far away she lives and yet she came anyway. Would you have ever gone that far for someone you don't know? Especially when it meant you'll run into your kidnapper again? Minjeong is selfless unlike you you believe because you don't think you ever could.
You: Thank you.
Dawn: Of course.
Dawn: I'll start looking into rehab centers nearby. I'll let you know what I find and what the best options are.
You: Okay. I'll let Yoongi know what's up. He wants to be informed as much as possible before any attempts to leave are made.
Dawn: That sounds good.
Dawn: He's a really good guy. Let's be thankful for him.
You are thankful for Yoongi. The only "normal" brother you've come to truly realize. Namjoon didn't lie about that at least.
You don't know what else to say so you leave it at that. Looking over to Yoongi you see that he's still working on his music. He's been very quiet as you watch TV and even now after your talk with Minjeong. You wonder when would be the best time to tell him about the texts but you don't want to bother him. He's so focused on his work. The more you stare at him the more your thoughts on Minjeong cloud your mind. You wonder how the chance to help her escape came about. We're they already talking about it between each other or was it a spontaneous decision on Yoongi's part? Minjeong was being drugged by Hoseok and so you wonder how he managed to get her out undetected by staff. You would ask Minjeong but would she remember correctly because of the drugs? What was Hoseok using on her anyway?
"You're staring at me."
You jump at the sound of Yoongi's voice.
He raises his head up to look at you before moving his headphones down around his neck. "Something on your mind?"
"Oh." You blink a few times. You weren't expecting to get caught. "Um I talked to Minjeong."
His brows raise a little. "What did she say?"
You cross your legs beneath the sheets as you sit up a little. "She said she's going to look up rehab centers for me around where she lives and that she'll help me out moneywise if need be."
Yoongi nods his head. "That's good. Anything else?"
"Just that if I'm comfortable with it that she'll help me get a restraining order on Hoseok."
His expression is carefully neutral but you can't imagine how he must feel.
"I'm sorry," you say. "This must be tough with Hoseok being your brother and all."
He shrugs. "I want the best for my brother but I can't help him when he's wrong."
Still but you won't push the subject.
Yoongi stretches in his seat with his arms reaching up above. You swear you hear his shoulders pop and it's only then does he sigh in relief.
"Are you hungry," he asks.
To be honest, after what you've been through no you're not but you know you need to eat.
You shrug in response but it's enough for Yoongi to pull out his phone and start searching for something.
"Is there anything you'd like to order?"
You shrug again but realize he can't see you as he continues to go through his phone.
"I'm fine with anything."
Yoongi hums. "Thai it is."
You can't help but to huff a laugh. Yoongi is oftentimes entertaining without meaning to be.
Taking off his headphones Yoongi lies them beside his laptop before standing up from his seat to head into his bathroom without a word. The man is so quiet but it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. You have a lot of trust in him and for a moment you wonder if you really should. All of his brothers turned out to be problematic in their own ways. What made Yoongi any different from them? It's because of Minjeong why you believe in the best of him and you're holding on to hope that he won't turn his back on you. So far so good, right?
You nod to yourself before looking towards the TV. You'll continue to trust him until for whatever the reason may be you can't anymore.
Yoongi finishes up in the bathroom and comes out with a sigh. "Here," he says. He hands you his phone. "Get what you want. I'll handle the rest."
You grab his phone and check through the menu. He's nice enough to order food for you and you feel like you can't deny his want to help you out. He's done enough so far: listening to you when you needed to be heard, comforting you, letting you stay with him until Hoseok comes back. You appreciate him. Truly you do.
Once you find something you hand him back his phone and he's quick to order what he wants as well.
"It won't be long," he says. "The Thai place is close by."
You hum. "Thank you."
Yoongi looks at you with a brow raised.
"For everything. You don't have to do any of the things that you're doing but you are and I appreciate it."
He shrugs. "It's nothing."
"No really." Your fingers play with the edge of the blanket. "I know I'm asking for a lot - wanting to escape and all of that but you're being very selfless."
He comes over to sit next to you on the bed. "Continue. You're doing wonders for my ego."
You can't help but laugh and it makes him smile. A smile that shows his gums and looks absolutely endearing on him.
He grows a little serious then as he speaks. "I don't mind helping. I feel like I have to make up for my brothers' faults in some way."
"It's not your responsibility though," you say.
"I know but someone has to do something and we both know it's not going to be Hoseok or any of the others."
Before you thought it would have been Namjoon but now you know that's a lie. It's just you, Yoongi, and Minjeong now. You don't know if you should feel sad or not about that.
Yoongi seems to notice your thoughts are straying from something positive because he questions you on it.
"What are you thinking about?"
Your eyes drift over to him for a moment. "Do you honestly want to know?"
He nods.
Sighing you sit up a little straighter. When did you hunch over so much? Like the weight of your thoughts are too heavy to bare.
"Namjoon."
Yoongi purses his lips as he takes a slow and even breath in before releasing it with his words.
"It's going to be hard getting over it but over time you will."
Your shoulders sag. "I wish things would have been different between us."
"In what way?"
"I wish I never fell for him. That we should have stayed as friends. Maybe then his lies wouldn't have hurt as much as they did."
"Either way you shouldn't let those type of thoughts consume you." He leans his weight onto his hand. "The more you let the what-ifs and "I shouldn't have/I should haves" bother you you'll never be able to heal. All it's going to do is ruin you and let Namjoon win."
Let Namjoon win... You don't want that to happen of course but a part of you just wants to wallow in self-pity even though you know you shouldn't.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
Yoongi continues to stare at you. "No but I imagine it doesn't feel good."
"It doesn't." You sigh. "I know you're right I'm just - it hurts is all."
He hums. "We should find a distraction then. For now at least until it hurts a little less."
Your brow raises in interest. "What kind of distraction?"
He stands up from his bed and walks over to the area where his equipment is set up. "I normally don't let anyone listen to my unfinished work but I think I can make one exception. For now at least."
He unplugs his headphones to bring his laptop over to the bed. On the screen are a series of things you can't bring yourself to understand but you know they must be related to music. You watch as Yoongi brings up a window filled with files labeled by numbers and he clicks on one of them. When it opens music begins to play.
It starts of with a slow beat accompanied by a rap that picks up speed a few seconds in. The lyrics talk about the extreme choices between what are truth and lies and you find yourself bopping your head along to it.
Yoongi doesn't say a word as you listen to it until the beat continues without the rap. Here he brings the music to a stop and looks at you.
"I don't have the rest of the rap written so it just stops there. Once I figure out what else I want I'll take the time to finish it."
"It's really really good," you say. "And I'm not just saying that because you're in front of me."
A small smile dances on the edge of his lips as a warm blush coats his cheeks. "There are other stuff too."
He clicks on another one and lets it play. One after another. Finished ones as well as incomplete ones.
You learn that Yoongi can both rap and sing even Jungkook who helps his older brother fill in as samples for his incompleted work. That way when he hands off his song to someone else they know what is expected of them. You also learn that DJing is just a small portion of what he can do. He enjoys making music for others to listen to and has done a variety of genres since he was teenager. Whatever genre there is Yoongi has done already and he has a discography made up of many of them from almost all the years of his life. You're heavily impressed and express that to him to which his cheeks grow pinker and the more he talks.
You realize Yoongi loves to talk about the things that make him happy. His voice level raises a bit as he talks more. It's endearing to watch and hear him grow happier by the second because he's talking about his first love: music. You wish there was something in your life that made you this excited to talk about. Maybe someday but for now you'll live vicariously through Yoongi.
"I'm amazed honestly," you say. "You sing, you rap, you play the piano and the guitar. You're a skilled producer that learned everything on his own. That's really impressive, Yoongi."
He gives a shy laugh as he closes the container from the food he ordered you two earlier. While you guys listened to his music you ate happily.
"I'm being serious. I really like your work."
"Thank you," he says with a smile.
He looks so shy but he's glowing with your praise. It makes you smile.
Yoongi gathers his flash drives with his music on them. They're there not because you went through every song on them but because he would grab one here and there to have you listen to specific songs. You're glad the two of you could bond this way as he was the only brother you haven't spent some time with. He showed you a side to himself you've never seen and it warms your heart to know he felt comfortable enough with you to show this side. He even admitted that he doesn't like showing his unfinished work but he did with you. You know it was to distract you from your glaring problem with Namjoon but you appreciate he did that nonetheless.
"I have more work in my study but that can be for another time."
Another time. Yeah, you'd like that.
"Thank you, Yoongi."
He hums in question with both brows raised.
"Thank you for keeping me distracted and for sharing your music with me. You didn't have to but you did and I appreciate it."
A small smile graces his lips as he shrugs. "It's no problem."
You mimic his smile with one of your own.
You enjoyed your time with him and not just because of your issue with Namjoon. For being the most sweetest of the brothers the two of you haven't really gotten to know each other. While he showed you his music he asked for your favorites. The topic then went to movies as you both talked about movie soundtracks. His passion for music made you feel inspired and you expressed that to which he gave you one of his endearing smiles. You talked on and on about music until it felt like there was nothing left about it to talk about.
Your time together was fun and you hope to end this nightmare of a day/night on a positive note because of him.
As he puts his things away you gather your trash from the food you ate and place them into the bag it came in.
"You don't have to do that." Yoongi says. "I can handle it."
"No no it's fine. I made a mess just as much as you did so let me help out."
He doesn't fight you on it and so you continue to clean up.
The sound from the TV accompanies you as you two work around each other. You don't even know what movie is playing right now but it doesn't really have your attention. Your conversation with Yoongi was your main form of entertainment.
Speaking of who, he turns to you after a minute and stares at you with an unreadable expression. You look up at him and raise your brows in question.
"Everything okay," you ask.
He licks his lips and nods. "I just... I'm going to try my best to get you out of here."
Your features soften at his words and something akin to warmth floods your chest. Happiness you think it is. Peace. Gratefulness.
You smile. "Thank you."
He gives you that half smile he oftentimes gives and it makes your own stretch until you show your teeth.
You know you have to give him time. You don't want to wait anymore than what you truly have to but these things take time. You have to wait for Minjeong to get back to you with the list of rehabs around her area and then formulate a plan to get out of here and how to head to her. Things Iike this don't happen overnight and so you'll wait. At least you have Yoongi on your side in this house. He's the breath of fresh air you've been needing to survive here. Hopefully until the very end.

[2:06am] Yoongi: You up?
You squinted at your phone, reading the message in the dark as the blue light shined on your face. You liked Yoongi; you really did. But more and more, you noticed he’d formed a habit of messaging you late at night. Only at night.
He’d brush you off when you attempted to hang out with him outside of work in the daytime, then later hit you up when it was convenient for him. You were starting to hate him for that and yourself because you let him get away with it.
Well, not tonight, you told yourself. I’m not gonna play that game. You put your phone on DO NOT DISTURB, returned it to your nightstand, and buried yourself in your sheets. You lay in bed feeling empty inside; you liked Yoongi, but you didn’t like this. Feeling so desperate for him all the time it was stupid and embarrassing.
Is that what love is?
You didn’t know. You’d never been in love before. Not really. Sure, you had crushes, mild infatuations, and situationships galore, but nothing like this—not this dull ache in your chest. If what you felt for Yoongi was love, then as much as you hated to admit it, maybe it was unrequited, and Hyuna was right.
Love had to be better than going to bed alone, feeling so cold and numb even though you were covered by a blanket.
You hoped she was wrong.
You wanted to be more to him than a few stolen kisses in the night and a body to hold. But as much as you wanted him to take your relationship seriously—to take you seriously—you could never risk asking him for more. To ask would be to give him all the power, and Yoongi already had enough control over you.
It wasn’t always like this. There used to be a time when you had all Yoongi’s attention.
You were so nervous coming into the club the first time. Back then, you still weren’t fully comfortable with stripping. But you had just started school, and though you already had a job bussing tables, you were still so very broke, and those bills wouldn’t pay themselves.
So you sucked up all your inhibitions and made yourself audition. You don’t know how Yoongi saw you in that crowded room. There were so many girls, certainly some more eye-catching than you, but he managed to catch you in the corner having a minor panic attack.
“You need to breathe.”
“Huh? Sorry, did you say something?” You blinked, taking in the appearance of the handsome stranger before you. On any other day, his intense eyes would have made you swoon. But that day, you were too caught up in your thoughts, worried about the worst possible outcomes of your getting up on stage. It’d been a long time since you danced for anyone besides yourself, and somehow, you were convinced you would mess up. Trip over your heels or forget a part of your routine.
“I said, you need to breathe. You look like you’re holding your breath. Are you that nervous?”
Yes, yes, you were.
You smiled weakly at him, clutching the water bottle in your hands. “I don’t even know what I’m doing here. I don’t think I can do this.” Your eyes flitted towards the exit.
“You’re here now, so you might as well go through with the audition. Don’t stop halfway.”
God, you thought, were you that obvious?
“What if I fuck it up?”
“Then you fuck it up. But that’d still be better than not trying at all.”
You remember being shocked at his response. But the more you thought about it, the more it made sense. Yeah, so what if you fucked it up? You didn’t know these people. Worse scenario, you wouldn’t get in and leave a little embarrassed, but no one would know about your private failure except for this handsome stranger.
You must have taken too long to respond because shortly after his blunt advice, Yoongi apologized.
“Sorry. . . I’m not that good at pep talks.”
“No, it’s okay. I don’t know why, but that actually helped.”
Yoongi’s eyes widened. Just a bit. Just enough for you to know your response surprised him. “Uh, good. You’ll be fine.”
“Thanks,” you said. Then thoughtfully, you wondered out loud, “Why are you being so nice to me??”
You couldn’t believe some guy was talking you down from your anxiety attack in a strip club. What was his agenda? Did he expect something from you?
“Why not?”
You opened your mouth to question that logic when you heard your name called. Your stage name. It was your turn to audition next. You glanced up at the stage before you, the black velvet curtain in the background, soft pink and white lights setting the mood, guiding your eyes to the catwalk in the middle. And on that center stage, those same lights highlight the silver pole in the middle.
Just looking at it made you gulp. Even though you were no stranger to the spotlight, having been a dancer, this new venture was awfully intimidating.
Strange enough, you found yourself looking towards the kind stranger—for what? Words of encouragement?—but he offered you none. Just a lazy smile as he nodded towards the stage for you to dance.
Truly, you don’t remember how the audition went. You were too nervous, too full of adrenaline to recall if you did well and if your movements were graceful and sexy rather than stiff and awkward. What you remembered was the conversation that followed, what you could make out of the hushed voices huddled together to decide your fate.
You strained to hear them over the thump of your racing heartbeat.
The first man to speak still seemed to be in thought as he stated his opinion. “I’m undecided. She doesn’t really seem like the type. . . I can’t imagine her sticking around for long.” He turned to the other judges in the room, “What do you think?”
“I agree with Namjoon,” said a man so pretty you could have mistaken him for a girl. “Technically, she’s a great dancer, but she’s lacking major confidence.”
Finally, the woman spoke. “Well, I like her. I think she’s got a lot of potential. Everyone grows into it anyway; give her a chance.”
Even with that vote of confidence, the group leader still seemed unsure. He turned to look over his shoulder to the man in the audience you spoke to earlier, the one you gave your whole performance to as you swayed on stage under sultry lights. “What do you think, Yoongi?”
At last, you had a name to put to the face of the handsome stranger. His dark eyes held no hint or indication that he favored you, and if his body language was anything to go off of, you were sure it wouldn’t be a good thing based on the way he slouched in his seat, arms crossed over his chest.
But then he spoke, a slow grin pulling over his face that put all your nerves at ease.
“I couldn’t keep my eyes off her.”
That was how it started. At the time, Namjoon, Jimin, and Hyuna were strangers to you. You had no idea the club owner and their two most favored dancers were in the room with you deciding your fate. Yoongi gave them his vote of confidence and sealed your fate. You started work later that week.
After you were hired, you were always aware of his presence at the club. You could feel his gaze follow you on stage, at the bar, always that cool, calm smolder. And the attraction was mutual. You constantly watched him in the booth, amused by his natural gift for music. There are so many shows you put on just for him. It was a crush, simple as that. You wanted him, but you were much too shy to say it. Thankfully, Yoongi was brave enough for both of you, asking you out after your first week.
The date was a pleasant surprise. Despite Yoongi’s introverted nature, he actually took you to dinner and made conversation at first, none of that Netflix and chill bullshit. His calm, quiet demeanor was infinitely attractive to you, and you found yourself mooning over him the whole night.
You hadn’t planned on fucking him, honestly.
But it’d been a while since anyone had touched you like that. So when Yoongi’s gravelly voice whispered in your ear, asking you to tell him how you wanted it, how you needed it, as his fingers rubbed sweet circles on your clit, all you could do was whine and tell him how badly your body wanted him with a desperation that couldn’t wait. You needed him right then and there.
The next morning, you woke up and swore it wouldn’t happen again.
But, of course, it did.
Again, and again, and again.
So here you were, stuck inside a situationship you didn’t want but one you always succumbed to. And tonight seemed no different.
Closing your eyes, you will yourself to go back to sleep, and you do for a little while. Until a pounding sound woke you up. You barely registered it as a knock the first time, but after two or three times, you dragged yourself out of bed and to your front door.
You had half a mind to reach for the bat you keep in the hall closet, just in case. It was an ungodly hour, and you lived alone (times like these made you regret not getting a roommate). You checked the peephole first, then sighed. Irritation rose in your blood.
You unlocked the door and snatched it open. “What are you doing here?”
“Don’t act so surprised. You were giving me puppy dog eyes all night. You really think I wouldn’t show up?”
You can’t tell if the anger surfacing is from your lack of sleep, the scare, or the fact that Yoongi is standing on your doorstep. It’s probably a combination of all three. “It’s two in the morning,” you said pointedly.
Yoongi isn’t phased by your grumbly voice or sharp tone. He shrugs and moves to step inside, but you block his path.
“Absolutely not. I’m going back to bed.”
“You’re mad.”
He didn’t say it like a question, but you could tell by the lilt in his voice he seemed surprised.
You scowled into the dark. “You can’t do this, Yoongi. Pick and choose when to show up.” Pick and choose when he could be in your life, when you mattered to him.
You motioned to close the door, but Yoongi stopped you, sticking his hand in the frame. And then he did something that made you pause. He reached for you, placed his hands on your waist, and pulled you close.
Shit.
Yoongi pulled you in like the tide. It was always eb and flow with him. When he did things like that. . . You couldn’t help but give in. You were weak for this, for his touch, for the moments when he wanted you. So when Yoongi swept in close, body heat coming off him in waves as his hand reached up to cup the back of your neck, you leaned into the embrace.
“I know I’m late,” he said, kissing the corner of your mouth. He nuzzled into your neck, sneaking kisses on your collarbones.
“Let me make it up to you.”
“Yoongi. . .” You started, coming to your senses for just a minute. But before you could protest, he interrupted you with a kiss. Any resolve you might have had left your body once his lips found yours. It was so easy to lose yourself in Yoongi. His kisses were fire, all-consuming, wild. You could never get enough. Yoongi licked into your mouth, and you moaned, stumbling back into your apartment.
And just like that, you crumbled.
You let him lead you to the bedroom, shrugging off his clothes, his mouth never leaving yours. You felt your knees hit the back of something soft and sat down on your bed while Yoongi kissed you stupid. You let him touch and, tease and pull you apart. Till the pleasure overtakes the pain in your chest. And it’s good, so good. Good enough to make you forget why you were even upset in the first place.
He inches you forward with kisses and bites—marks you know will leave a hickey—till your back hits the headboard, momentarily breaking you from his spell.
“Wait,” you said, eyelids fluttering open.
But Yoongi’s hands are already sliding up your nightgown, leaving wet kisses down your thighs.
And then there was the solid feel of his hands spreading your legs apart, lips dangerously close to where you needed him most.
He hooked a finger under the waistband of your lace underwear, pulling the material off.
“You were saying?” said Yoongi, and you shivered as his breath fanned over you.
Honestly, you couldn’t remember. You lost every coherent thought your brain was trying to form. All you could think about was his touch, his thumb on your clit, the feel of him stroking you gently. You were so, so wet.
And he knew it. You could feel Yoongi smile against you as he rested his cheek on your thigh, long slender fingers working over you until all you could do was tilt your head back and sigh.
“I love playing with your pussy.” He whispered, voice just above a purr.
His words made you throb. “Yoongi,” you moaned, his name a desperate plea on your tongue.
“What?” He answered, voice smug, “What do you need?”
Too embarrassed to say the words out loud, to admit just how badly you need him, you reached down, sliding a hand into his hair, tugging at his locks to pull him right where you wanted him.
Yoongi chuckled. “So impatient.” But he didn’t move his head from between your thighs. Instead, he leaned forward, licking a stripe up your center before rolling his tongue around your clit.
You couldn’t help but lean into the action, hips tilting up to catch the sensation. But Yoongi was having none of that. He brought up a hand, pushing one palm against your belly to press you down into the mattress, while the other caressed your thigh.
“Behave,” he said, the dominance radiating through his voice. It’s the only warning you get before he nips at your clit, drawing out a sharp cry from you, the pain mixing with pleasure. Before you could even respond, Yoongi lapped at your folds, tongue making a mess out of you.
You let yourself get lost in the sensation as Yoongi buried his head between your thighs, devouring your whole. You’re too far gone to stop the whimper that spilled from your mouth. All you felt were stars as his tongue curled around your clit, languid licks driving you closer and closer to the edge.
Yoongi knew your body like it was his. He memorized every shiver and shudder, every move that turned you on. He could hear your heavy breath, feel the tremble in your thigh, and know exactly how to push you over the edge.
So he does it, sliding two fingers deep inside you to press against the spot that made your body taunt with pleasure. The pressure of his palm against your belly, his hot tongue flicking against you, his fingers curling deep—it’s overwhelming.
Chest heaving, you called out his name, a plea and a warning all at once. You were so, so close.
Cum for me,” Yoongi rasped, voice vibrating against you, and that’s all it takes for you to fall.
You climax, pleasure rushing all through your body, blanking your mind, curling your toes. Your hands fist in Yoongi’s hair, once again tugging at his locks. Only this time, Yoongi didn’t stop your pleasure but doubled it, replacing his fingers with his tongue to delve inside and taste every drop of your release, stopping only when your thighs shake, the sensation becomes too much.
When you finally came back down and caught your breath, Yoongi lifted his head and met your gaze with a smirk. “Did I make it up to you yet? Or should I apologize again?”
Though you’d been satisfied, Yoongi ‘apologized’ twice more for good measure before laying you on your side and pulling you against his chest. Cold as he appeared, Yoongi defied all fuckboy logic and was quite fond of aftercare and cuddles. Thirty minutes later, he still laid beside you in bed, naked body flush against your skin.
These were the moments you treasured the most. Pos-coital bliss, where you could pretend, if only for one second, that you were something more than strangers who sometimes shared beds.
But they also made you the most confused. Because, here in his arms, it felt like more than friends, more than sex. But did he think that, too?
So many nights you spent just like this, trying to convince yourself that this was good enough, that you were comfortable living in this in-between state. But that was then, and this is now, and it’s not enough.
And now you know it never was.
“Yoongi?” you said, turning in his arms so you’re face to face.
“What,” he grumbled back, voice thick with sleep. It’s a sound you’re all too familiar with, one you’ve let lull you into a stupor time and time again. He leaned down to kiss you, but you placed a hand on his chest, keeping him away.
“What are we doing?”
It’s a question you’d always been too afraid to ask, but now that it was the only thing on your mind, you couldn’t stop yourself from blurting it out.
Yoongi scoffed. “Sleeping?” He nipped at the sweet spot on your neck, “Unless you’re up for another round.”
“Yoongi, I need—”
He licked a stripe up your neck, scrambling your thoughts. “What? What do you need?” He said, voice husky. It’s enough to make you moan but not enough to distract you from your racing thoughts.
I need to know what this is. I need to know where I stand with you. I need—
“More than this.”
“I’m serious. What are we doing? What. . . what are we?”
You said it. The thing you’re not supposed to say, and it made you feel sick to your stomach.
You shouldn’t—it’s not as if it’s some forbidden phrase, but the words weighed heavy in the air. You’re going places you’ve never gone with Yoongi, putting all your cards on the table. It’s risky. No one wants to be the one who cares most, but you do. And you know you’re not supposed to. You know you can’t say that you want more. That you want love. That somehow, this unspoken arrangement isn’t what you needed any more. You needed to know if he felt anything for you in return, and you needed to know now.
It was quiet for a minute before you finally said, unable to stop yourself from masking the vulnerability in your voice: “I like you.”
“I like you too,” said Yoongi. There was no weight to his words. He said it so quickly, so easily, that it stunned you.
Maybe a little too easy.
“So what does that mean for us?” you said, sitting up in bed, more awake now than ever.
Yoongi froze. “Us?”
“Yeah, is there an us?” You can’t seem to say what you really mean; the words hover around the truth of your real desires, that you want a relationship. It’s obvious, isn’t it? “Because if it’s not, if you can’t see this being real, then I don’t think I can do this anymore. I might take a break.”
He has to know what you mean. . .Do you really have to spell it out?
But apparently, you do because Yoongi glosses over the true meaning of your words entirely. “Can we talk about this in the morning? I’m tired. I don’t want to fight right now.”
He reached for you, his hand slipping up your thigh and rubbing small circles with his thumb. The touch is soothing, but your mind is still whirling. Still trying to connect the dots from what he said, what it meant, and what you heard.
“I don’t want to fight right now.”
Why does the question of choosing me have to be a fight?
It’s this thought that makes it all clear. It’s not a fight. Yoongi knows the question you’re asking. He just doesn’t want to answer.
You opened your mouth to say as much, but you’re tired, too. Tired of this bullshit. The ease with which Yoongi dismissed your needs time and time again. You don’t have the strength to plead your case, and you shouldn’t have to, really.
You laid back down with you back towards him, nodding your head in agreement even as you shoved your disappointment down deep.
As if sensing your frustration, Yoongi wordlessly consoled you. He trailed kisses down your body. Each kiss, a tiny apology. At the top of your head. Sorry. By your jaw, sorry. The dip between your neck and shoulder. Sorry.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Despite yourself, you lean into the embrace. Yoongi didn’t always have the right words to say, but he always had the right touch. Still, a part of you starved for a deeper affection, a part that even Yoongi’s touch couldn’t reach.
. . .
In the morning, you woke up to the shining sun, aching limbs, and an empty bed.
Yoongi wasn’t beside you, and the loss of his touch stirred you from your sleep as the loneliness crept back in. You know there’s no note for you to or an explanation to where he’s gone, so you don’t bother checking. Instead, you roll over to your side, clumsily fumbling around for your phone on the nightstand.
You open your eyes with a sigh, blurred vision trying to make sense of the digits on the screen reading 9:02am when everything clicks into space with startling clarity. Your entrepreneurship class started at nine.
Shit.
“Late! I’m late!” You shouted, hopping out of bed and throwing on a T-shirt and jeans. No doubt, you look a mess, but you didn’t have time to worry about appearance. You could not be late; this course was one of the hardest in your major. You couldn’t afford to miss any class and pass, and if you flunked out, you’d have to wait another two semesters before it’d be offered again. That was time you simply didn’t have. It’d put you way behind your schedule to graduate on time with your degree, and you couldn’t afford to waste more time in school.
It’s the desperation that has you rushing down the hall to your classroom, tired and out of breath after sprinting from the parking garage into the building. You’re flustered, sweaty, and way too embarrassed to make eye contact with your professor as you enter the room, only bowing your head in apologies as your eyes scan the room for a seat.
Mia flagged you down in the corner of the room, and you slid into the desk next toher. “I saved you a spot,” she whispered, careful not to raise her voice above the steady drone of your professor’s lecture about starting a new business.
“Thanks,” you said, eternally grateful to have made a friend in this class. Mia was a school friend who, through late-night study sessions and lunch breaks, was slowly becoming a real friend, too. If only you didn’t have more time on campus, you’d probably be best friends by now, but between working for two jobs and school, your schedule was always full.
“We’ll dive deeper into identifying your target customer base next week.”
When the lecture ended thirty minutes later, you pulled Mia outside the classroom. “Hey, thanks again for saving me a seat. Can I borrow your notes from earlier?”
“Of course.” You thanked her as she pulled out her notebook and handed it over.
“No problem. Where were you this morning? I thought we were supposed to catch up before class.”
You forgot about that. “Uh, sorry. I overslept. Rain check?”
“Sure. I have a class until 3, but after that I’m free. You wanna grab dinner tonight?”
You wince, knowing you’ll have to turn her down once again. “I’d love that. I really would, but I’ve gotta—“
“Work, right. Of course.”
“Sorry, Mia.”
“Look. I get it you’re busy. But I feel like I never see you these days.”
You can’t help but feel guilty knowing she’s right. You have been all over the place this semester. Your social life was definitely suffering for it.
“And when I do, you see, you’re basically running around campus looking like a total mess.”
Ouch. When she puts it like that. . .
Mia must have read the hurt look on your face cuz she quickly backtracked. “I don’t mean to sound harsh. I’m just worried about you, ya know?”
You know she’s right, but it still made you feel like crap to hear your friend chide you like this. You know you’ve been distant, but were you really that bad?
“And I miss my friend,” she added, squeezing your hand.
At this admission, you relax, understanding where she’s coming from. “I know. Today’s not great, but I promise I’ll make it up to you, okay?” You looked down at your phone, checking the time. Now you were going to be late for your next class, too. “I gotta run, but we’ll talk later?”
Mia nodded. You hugged her before hauling ass across campus to your next class.
. . .
“Do you know what an embarrassment you are to this family?”
Seokjin sighed, slumping in his seat. His father slapped the newspaper onto his desk so hard it’s a wonder the glass didn’t crack under his palm. It took all of his strength not to wince at the title:
Billionaire Playboy Caught At An Infamous Strip Club.
“I didn’t choose to go there. Taehyung and Namjoon took me out—“
“I don’t care what Taehyung and Namjoon do. They can destroy their families’ reputations if they want to. But you are my son. I won’t have you tarnishing my reputation. You think you deserve to run this company after a stunt like that?”
At this, Seokjin rolled his eyes. “I don’t think I deserve anything. I’ve never wanted this company,” he said.
“You ungrateful piece of shit.”
Seokjin meant what he said, but he wasn’t ungrateful. Inheriting his father’s million-dollar diamond corporation was never part of his interest. “You should hand over your company to the child who wants to run it. Sohee would—“
“Sohee doesn’t have what it takes to run my company.”
Translation: Sohee wasn’t a man. And Seokjin’s sexist father would never give her the chance she deserved to take over the family business. Even though she was the progeny most naturally suited for the job.
His father waved away the idea. “Enough of this talk of Sohee. You will inherit the family business. It’s time you stopped acting like a child. Have you forgotten your responsibilities? After your wedding to Mei, our company will expand. You’ll have no time for these foolish endeavors.
How could he possibly forget? Between the tabloids and the endless, frivolous meetings crammed into his schedule to decide what color goes best with the tablecloths or what dish should be served for the twelfth-course meal, he hasn’t been able to escape any thoughts of the wedding as much as he’d wanted to.
Seokjin met Mei under duress six months ago with the intention of their union expanding the company into the Chinese market. And though their families held a long-standing relationship with each other—they were practically strangers. He had no feelings for her, and their relationship was strictly business, to his chagrin.
Seokjin didn’t want to get married—let alone to someone he barely knew. But the decision wasn’t up to him. As with everything else in his life, his father made all the decisions. Every school, every job, and every opportunity was already picked out for him before Seokjin could even utter the word ‘no. Nothing was ever a choice.
He hated his father. For his cruelty and selfish ways, his blatant disregard for others, his children’s wishes, and the control he had over Seokjin’s life.
“As a matter of fact, I have an important business dinner with her father this evening—you will attend.”
“Of course, not like I had any plans.” Said Seokjin, smiling sweetly, but his eyes held malice.
His father cut him a look and opened his mouth for what Seokjin was sure would be a good cussing out, only for his father to explode into a coughing fit. The bastard was sick, but unfortunately for Seokjin, not ill enough to die. Just enough for his father to retire early and order him to take over, crushing any dream he had of escaping his legacy.
His father cleared his throat. “I expect you to be on your best behavior and impress him, boy. But don’t be a fucking kiss ass. Remember, you represent the Kim name. Show me you are not a complete disappointment as my heir. You can do at least that, can’t you?”
Seokjin grit his teeth, swallowing down his anger. He hated his father for his relentless demands, but he also hated himself.
Because despite resenting it all, Seokjin always did as he was told.
. . .
[4:34pm] Sunshine Boss: I have something for you :)
[4:34pm] Sunshine Boss: I know you’re off tonight, but you should stop by and pick it up. I think you’ll be satisfied with the gift.
You look up from your phone, stopping midway in your tracks. It’d be risky, but you could squeeze in some time to stop by the club before heading to your other job.
Jeongguk winked at you as you walked up to Paradise. You smile at him as he holds the door open for you, shaking your head at his endless flirting. It always amused you that he was the club bouncer when the kid was a little younger than you. But you always felt safer having Jeongguk at the door. You’ve seen firsthand how that sweet bunny smile could fade into a deadly expression. Jeongguk could be very intimidating when he wanted to be, and his muscles weren’t just for show. You felt sorry for anyone who crossed a line at the club and ended up facing off with him.
It doesn’t take you long to find your boss. He’s tucked away in his sleek gray office as usual, typing away on his laptop. He looked polished as ever in a new suit and a crisp white button-down. When you knocked on the door, Hoseok looked up and waved you inside. “Come in.”
“You said you had something for me?” You asked. You were still curious as to why he requested you stop by. Work was work, but Hoseok took your personal lives seriously. He never crossed the line between the two, so you found it odd he reached out.
“I do,” said Hoseok, reaching inside his desk drawer. “Your private session left you a big tip last night. I thought it’d be best if you received it directly.” You watched as he pulled out a fat white envelope and slid it across the desk.
Just looking at it made you raise an eyebrow. Hoseok’s bright eyes gave nothing away as he waved a hand towards the envelope, beckoning you towards it.
Without thinking, you opened the envelope and let out a little gasp of shock at the thick wad of bills inside. Hundred-dollar bills.
“All this is for me?”
“All of it.”
You shifted out a few bills, ready to hand over your expected dues, but Hoseok stopped you with a hand. “You misunderstand. I already have my cut. Everything within that envelope is yours.”
“Are you serious?” You said, unable to hide the shock in your voice. You had enough money in your hands to pay your whole rent for the month and then some. All from one dance.
The sharp angles of Hoseok’s face softened, and he smiled at your disbelief, a dimple showing out. “Clearly, you left a good impression, but I expect nothing less—you’re one of the best.”
You wave away his words, too embarrassed to accept the compliment, thinking about exactly how you won Seokjin’s favor. Just the thought made your heart race. As much as you hated to admit it, your patron wasn’t the only one affected by that last dance.
“I um—I’ve got to go. But thank you for making sure I got this personally.”
“Of course. Before you leave, your gift came with a letter,” said Hoseok, pointing back to his desk.
You don’t know how you missed it at first, but sure enough, another smaller envelope was on the glass with your name handwritten on the front.
“Oh.”
“I think you might have a new regular. Seokjin seems to be very fond of you.”
. . .
Later that afternoon, you pulled up to work, grateful you remembered to stash a bag with clothes in your car. You quickly run to the back, hoping to change into your uniform. But your boss caught you before you could sneak off to the back.
“You’re late,” she hissed.
Yes, that was becoming quite a habit of yours. You ducked your head apologetically, hoping the woman would scold you quickly. “I’m sorry, I was—”
“—I don’t have time for excuses. A high-ranking guest is coming in tonight, so just do your job.”
You don’t miss the pointedness in her tone—no fuck ups tonight.
“Got it,” you said, holding back your grimace as she berated some more before sending you off to change. All you could do was grin and bear it. Even if you didn’t feel like you had it in you to pull on a fake smile and tend to your special guests.
But that was your job as a hostess. It paid well, though sometimes it almost didn’t feel worth it with the snooty customer base you had to face, but between rent and your school tuition, you literally couldn’t afford to be picky.
Even if you didn’t have the energy to put up with these rich assholes, at least you didn’t have to pull a shift at Paradise after this. You just had to pull yourself together for a few hours, and then you could go home.
You change into a little black dress and switch out your sneakers for a pair of tall heels. It wasn’t exactly a ‘uniform’ uniform, but your second job still has a certain look and aesthetic to maintain. The dress hugged your curves in all the right places, and you can’t help but feel eyes on you as you make your way back to the hostess table up front, heels clicking.
Dionysus was in full swing, each white-clothed table crowded and buzzing, and you watched as people clinked glasses under the chandeliers. But at your post, you kept your eye on the empty room in the back.
Whoever your guests were tonight, if they were truly a big deal, you’d escort them to have their meal in that private room.
Once the opening crowd thins out, the evening goes by slowly for you, and before you know it, you’re sneaking a peek at your phone, trying not to keep your boredom at bay.
There were a couple texts from Hyuna and a picture she sent of herself and the girls at Paradise.
[6:15pm] Babygirl: I’m so BORED when you’re not heređŸ„ș
[ 6:16pm]You: Sameeee. Don’t have fun without me!
[6:18pm] Babygirl: You know it’s boring when you’re not here! Miss you tonight 💕
You heart the message, missing her too.
Still no messages from Yoongi.
All his silence does is confirm the feeling in your gut and fuel the quiet resolve to make a decision.
You’re so busy ruminating that you don’t even realize you have guests in front of you until someone clears their throat in front of you.
“Act like you have some sense. The reservation for the Kim Corporation is here.”
You shove down your disdain for your boss and put on your best smile, ready to greet your new guests. Only when you look up do you realize it’s not a new guest after all.
Kim Seokjin stood in front of you, handsome as ever. His fringe frames his face, drawing your attention to his dark eyes and immaculate suit. You could tell from the quality of his clothes that it was expensive, but the white button-down left open on his chest said that looking flawless was effortless on his part. His brows furrowed at the sight of you, but then the confusion cleared, and in its place, Seokjin fixed you with a dazzling white smile and said: “It’s you.”
You barely have time to recover from the blow before you fix your smile in place (the one you use strictly for work; polite and friendly) and greet his party.
“Welcome to Dionysus, Mr.Kim. It’s a pleasure to have you dine with us tonight.”
Seokjin blinked at your formal demeanor, not expecting your casual dismissal of his recognition. But you don’t react—you can’t. No one here knew of your other life, and you planned on keeping things this way.
“Please follow me; I’ll direct you towards our private dining experience.” You quickly turned on your heel, walking forward without sparing so much as a second glance towards him. But you can sense his eyes on you, that hot, molten feeling rising in your body as you lead the party toward the back.
When you stopped before the table, Seokjin pulled out the chair closest to your position, trying to address you once more. “It’s nice to see you again.”
You maintain your plastic smile. “You must be mistaken, Sir; we haven’t met. I’ve heard this is your first time visiting Dionysus.”
“You mean to tell me we haven’t met before?”
“I’m afraid not, sir.”
Seokjin raised an eyebrow, but your facade didn’t waver. If anything, your eyes seemed to embolden, daring him to question your professionalism. You’re so calm and cool that if it were anybody else, Seokjin might have believed himself to be mistaken. But he knows he’s not. As if he could forget your face after last night.
So that’s how you wanted to play this? Fine. Two could play that game. He’d get your attention one way or another.
“Excuse me, I have a special request,” asked Seokjin, successfully grabbing your supervisor’s attention. “Your hostess is so lovely. Is there any way that she could tend to our table tonight?.”
Your eyes widen in shock for a split second, not anticipating this outcome. “I’m sorry, I’m not a part of the waitstaff—”
“—Absolutely,” Your boss cut in. “I’m sure (Y/n) would like nothing more than to take care of your party personally.”
At the mention of your name, Jin’s eyes widened. He simply wanted you near, but his request seemed to come with a little gift now that he knew your name.
The realization must have dawned on you simultaneously since the look on your face is a mix of shock and rage. Jin finds the combination amusing, and he can’t keep the satisfied smirk on his lips, knowing he sneakily earned another night with you.
Serves you right for trying to ignore him. Seokjin gave you a look, cocky and full of ego, relaying this very thought.
You wanted to wipe his smug smirk off. Asshole. You haven’t waited tables since your first year in college, and now, because this guy batted his pretty eyes, you’re right back where you started?
Who does this guy think he is?
You’re beyond annoyed, but all you can do is plaster on another fake smile and join the servers at the table. Thankfully, you’d served with everyone working the table before, so getting back into the flow of things was easy.
You fell into step from memory; everything returned to you from years of practice waitressing. You reached past Seokjin to fill his wine glass, and the asshole had the nerve to look up and smile at you.
You smile back, of course, even though you’re silently fuming, but your eyes tell a different story. You let Seokjin see it, all the anger buried underneath the polite mask as you pour.
But Seokjin’s smile didn’t flinch, didn’t falter. You swear his smile only brightened, the grin spreading across his handsome face.
You didn’t realize you had overfilled his glass until you heard the scrap of his chair across the floor when he jumped back from the table.
You were so distracted you poured the wine right into his lap. But he didn’t have to know that. Even though it wasn’t your intention, you’re more than happy to claim the credit for his displeasure.
“My apologies, Sir,” you said with a smirk.
Seokjin glared at you in response. Now that the shock was gone, you had to stifle a laugh behind your hand seeing his pouty face.
Your boss hissed your name, eyeing you with a tilted head at the mess you were in no rush to clean up.
“Let me help you with that,” you sighed. You bent down, picking up a spare napkin off the table. You dipped it in water and mindlessly dabbed at the spill on his suit.
You were already so close before you realized your mistake. You could smell the heated spice of Seokjin’s cologne, and you were just a breath away from that dazzling face. Just as close as you were the first night you met. The memory of it flashes through your mind—the warmth of his palm cupping your cheek like you were his lover. It’s enough to make your breath hitch.
You met his eyes, and the depth of his dark pools told you you weren’t the only one thinking of your first night together. Seokjin’s gaze dipped, looking at your lips as he wet his own.
It’s that small action that brings you back. What were you doing? Surely you weren’t about to kiss the stranger in the middle of a job? Quickly, you removed your hand from his lap, clearing your throat as you backed away.
Your mind felt hazy, and you knew who was to blame. But what you wouldn’t understand was the fact that Seokjin had any effect on you at all.
You knew it wasn’t his status; you often came across rich men in your work. His looks were unparalleled, but you rarely found attraction towards a pretty face last if you hadn’t liked their personality.
And you didn’t like him, right? No. He wasn’t your type at all. Still, you couldn’t deny the pull felt whenever he was in your presence.
For the rest of the night, you completed service for the party away from Kim Seokjin. Dinner went on in a daze. And before you knew it was closing time. The Kim Party stayed the whole night, which was tiring, but the generous tip they left did lighten your spirits as you exited the building.
You’re halfway out the door, eagerly awaiting a night alone in your apartment, when you hear someone call out your name.
“(Y/n).”
It’s Seokjin. You looked up to find him leaning back against a luxury SUV. “Or should I call you Angel? Both names suit you quite well.”
Dammit. In the heat of the moment, you forgot all about your boss giving away your name. If your two lives weren’t crossed over before, they certainly were now.
You’ve half a mind to ignore him and pretend you didn’t hear him in the first place, but ultimately, you decided to deal with it before things get more out of hand.
You walked up towards him. “Look, I’d appreciate it if you kept that name to yourself.”
“Which name?” He teased, eyes glinting at you in the dark. “They’re both very pretty.”
“I mean it. People don’t know about my other job here.”
“So you live a double life? That’s sexy.”
“It’s not as sexy as you think,” you said, crossing your arms over your chest. “It’s actually really hard, so don’t make it any harder for me.”
Seokjin tilted his head to the side, studying you. You put up a good front, coming up to him acting all demanding. But he could see the vulnerability underneath it all; a part of you was worried.
“I wouldn’t dream of making anything more difficult for you,” he said, earnestly hoping to put your mind at ease. “Your secret’s safe with me.”
“Oh
” You weren’t expecting him to acquiesce so quickly. You honestly thought he’d be the type of jerk to tease you and hold it over your head like earlier. But Seokjin immediately respected your boundary; you didn’t even have to put your foot down.
“Thank you,” you said awkwardly.
“Of course.”
His behavior took you off guard, but you couldn’t lose focus. Your name wasn’t the only reason you approached him.
“Um, also, while you’re here, I’d like to give you this back,” you said, reaching into your bag for the envelope. You help it out for him to take. “Thank you for the tip, but I can’t accept this.”
Seokjin stared at your hand. “That was a gift.”
“It’s too much,” you added as if that held any weight.
“I haven’t to politely disagree. I enjoyed myself, and I value your time. I think the amount reflects that.”
“I can’t accept it.”
“Can’t? Or won’t.”
“Okay, I won’t accept it. Take it back.”
“No.”
“Seokjin.”
“(Y/n).”
“Why are you making this so difficult?”
“Love, you’re the one making this difficult.”
“Look,” you said, frustrated at the conversation. “I’m not in the mood for games. I don’t know what your expectations are. But I’m not that kind of girl.”
Seokjin shook his head. “I’m not following
”
“Well then, let me make it clear to you. I said. I’m not that kind of girl.”
You were all up in his face, eyes full of fire, and Seokjin couldn’t help but like it. For a man in his position, very few people had the confidence to speak to him like that. He at once found it incredibly attractive and entertaining, watching you sass him with your neck craned as he looked down at you.
Clearly, you meant to be intimidating, but all Seokjin could think about was how sexy you looked when you were assertive.
“You didn’t read my letter, did you?”
“The letter is irrelevant; I don’t care how rich you are—you can’t buy me.”
“I think you are mistaken. I’m not trying to buy you, (y/n).”
You didn’t buy it. If there was anything you learned in life, it was that nothing ever came free. There was always a price. And this man came from a world where money ruled supreme.
“Then what do you want?”
You. It was the first thing that entered Seokjin’s mind. The thought took him by surprise. It’d been a while since he felt this attracted to anyone. And he certainly didn’t know what he was doing waiting after dinner to talk to you. Something was there, but he knew better than to voice this new feeling aloud.
Instead, he told a partial truth. “I don’t know,” he said, shrugging. “That night
. I’ve never seen someone move like that. The way you dance...You captivated me. You were like a goddess.”
You wanted to be mad at him. You really did. But you couldn’t help but feel yourself flush at the compliment and the sincerity in his voice. Men flirted with you often. It was a hazard of the job, but not like this. You’ve heard men highlight your body before, but no one ever mentioned the way you dance with awe in their voice, not just lust.
“It’s only natural to give an offering as your patron,” said Seokjin, winking at you.
Your body betrayed you then, a flush that heated you up. Get a grip! You thought. You weren’t some lovesick teen. You were grown. You would not be swayed by some rich asshole’s stupid flirting.
“Well, I don’t need your money. Here,” you said, thrusting it out in front of you. “You can have it back. I don’t want to owe you anything.”
“You don’t owe me. I wanted to give it to you,” said Seokjin, stepping closer to you. “I think you deserve a lot more, to be honest.”
Seokjin placed his hand over yours, firmly keeping the envelope in your grip. “It was a gift. Nothing more, nothing less. Keep it.”
You’re so close Jin could smell you; your skin is warm and sweet, and your perfume was sultry and floral. Seokjin could drown in it. The scent clouded his senses and, clearly, his judgment because he closed what little distance sat between him and you. Here, he had a front row to your beautiful eyes, and those plush lips, and the only thing running through his head was what it would be like to kiss you.
Seokjin looked at you, really looked at you, and this time, he noticed you were not startled. Your pupils are blown, your chest rising quickly—he’d bet anything that whatever it is going on with him, you felt it too.
But again, you pulled away.
You took a step back to give yourself space and clear your head. Any longer, and you might have kissed him for real. And even though you and Yoongi were barely a thing and planned on ending things, you hadn’t ended them yet. Even though Seokjin had you wanting to cross all kinds of boundaries—you weren’t about to cross that line.
“I um,” You stuttered, “I really can’t convince you to take it back?”
Jin considered your question. “I’ll tell you what,” he said. “I’ll take the money back in exchange for a date.”
You couldn’t help but laugh. Was he really asking you on a date? “How is that appealing to me? That’s just swapping one problem for another.”
“It would be the best day of your life.”
“Now you’re just being ridiculous.”
“I’m not hearing a no.”
You sighed. “I don’t want to give you the wrong impression. I’m seeing someone. And even if I wasn’t—”
“Are you exclusive?”
“Well, no—”
“—Then I have a chance?” Said Seokjin, taking a step closer to you. He smiled again, and this time, his eyes crinkled at the corners, and you felt the warmth of his gaze flush all over you.
“I, um—”
Seeing you stutter, Seokjin’s smile brightened. “I do have a chance.”
Stupid, damn feelings.
“You have no chances,” you said, barely recovering from the brilliant attack on your heart. “Because I don’t date clients, remember?” You let words settle between you, their weight grounding you back to reality.
“And now you’ve also popped up at my day job?”
“A charming coincidence, I promise,” said Seokjin, placing a hand over his heart.
“Hmm. Well, I guess I’ll keep your money after all.” Even if he was the most handsome man you’d ever met, you were an adult. Your better judgment kept you from crossing that line.
Seokjin smirked. “Good.”
Good? You narrowed your eyes at him. He looked a little too pleased with your decision. “Did you only propose that because you knew, I’d say no and keep the money?”
“No,” he said, leaning toward entrancing you again with a close-up view of his superior good looks. “I hoped you’d say yes. But I’ll take the consolation prize.”
“Besides, I’m rich,” laughed Seokjin. “It’s not like I need more money.”
And just like that, the moment of infatuation passed. Seokjin was back to being a rich asshole. Perfect. You could work with that.
You backed away from him, heading for your car. “Goodnight, Seokjin.”
“Goodnight, (Y/n)”
It’s not until you’re sitting in your car, catching your reflection in the rearview mirror, that you realize you’ve got a stupid grin on your face.
Immediately, you stopped, catching yourself. It felt nice to be admired and flirted with, but what was your problem? Why were you smiling about some random stranger when you had a—
The bright ping of your phone went, and you reached inside your purse to check your texts.
[9:06pm] Yoongi: Missed you at Paradise tonight? Can I stop by later?
Speak of the devil
Of course, Yoongi would contact you now.
You didn’t owe him any loyalty, but that didn’t mean you felt comfortable talking to other guys. But still, why?
Yoongi wasn’t your boyfriend. So why were you giving him the boyfriend treatment?
“Are you exclusive?”
“Well, no—”
“—Then I have a chance?”
You shook your head, clearing your thoughts. Why were you thinking about Seokjin’s words earlier? He wasn’t even a dating option, but he did have a point.
For all intents and purposes, you were practically single, so why were you acting coupled up again?
You look at the three little dots bubbling up from your lack of response. How long were you going to keep doing this? Repeating the same cycle over again?
No. No more.
You fired off a text back: I can’t, busy, then threw your phone on the seat and started up your engine before you could change your mind
The cycle ends right now. You wouldn’t spend the rest of your twenties going back and forth with some guy who only ever wanted to sleep with you.
You’re young. You’re hot. You didn’t have to sit around and wait for some guy to want you. You could get a date with anyone you wanted, hell, even a millionaire!
For a minute, even though tonight was an inconvenience, you’re grateful you ran into Seokjin just for that reminder.
The next time you see Yoongi, you know what you need to do.
You’re ending things up with him. For good.

I anxiously sat on my bed, holding my knees to my chest, watching the second hand on my clock go tic’ tic’ tic.’ It was fifteen minutes until midnight, which meant it was fifteen minutes until I was supposed to sneak out of my house. I still can’t believe I told Dale Holt I would do this a few hours ago. Pins and needles were shooting through my body, and my legs were shaking uncontrollably. The only bad thing I’ve done is lie to my parents. Going against them like this created a knot in my stomach, and I was debating not going and just staying home. I know he would be disappointed, but surely he’ll understand. I got up from my bed and started pacing back and forth. Both my parents are sleeping, and their room is on the opposite side of the house from mine. The only person I worry about is my brother, whose room is next door, and he could hear me leave through my window.
I decided that I couldn’t risk being caught by my brother. He would make things worse for me than they already were, and I couldn’t bear any more of the treatment I’d been getting. I walked over to my desk chair and grabbed my pajamas, which were folded neatly on the seat. I had already dressed for the occasion: a plain black crew neck that was a bit oversized, light denim mom jeans, and a pair of white sneakers. I even had a bag I put together with snacks and a blanket. Now that I think about it, he probably would’ve laughed at me for bringing all these things when sneaking out. My cheeks heated up just thinking about the embarrassment. I was about to take the crew neck off when I heard a weird tapping behind me. It wasn’t loud, but enough to get my attention. I turned around to see a boy’s face peeking through my window. My heart stopped for a moment, and a scream caught in the back of my throat.
Dale Holt was standing outside my window.
I ran towards my window and quickly opened it. “Shhhh!” I whispered to him while motioning to my lips for him to be quiet. “W-what are you doing here?” I whispered.
“I was tired of waiting and knew you would chicken out, so I decided to come to you instead.” His signature smirk was plastered on his face.
“I wasn’t going to chicken out! I was just about to leave!” My voice broke through the whisper I was doing, and I slapped my hand against my mouth. I wanted to prove to him that I wasn’t a chicken. I started pushing on the edges of the screen for my window to try and pop it out as quietly as possible. Dale stood back and watched me with amusement as I struggled. How did I do this that one time I chased after my brother? Maybe it’s because Dale’s deep blue eyes are so focused on me that it’s making me nervous.
“Let me, Doll,” he said after having had enough enjoyment of watching me fail. He pulled something out of his pocket to pop the screen clean off. I stood there in awe and embarrassment that it was so easy for him. “Are you ready?” he said in a low, husky voice. All I could do was nod my head.
As I went to climb out of the window, I stared back at the bag I had prepared for tonight. I quickly grabbed it, slinging the strap around my neck, and with help from Dale, I was out of the house. He gripped my hand tightly and pulled me with him as he started to run, forcing me to run alongside him. The adrenaline coursing through my veins made it easy to keep up with him. It felt like we were running away together, and slowly, all the anxiety I was feeling only ten minutes ago left my body.
When we reached Dale’s truck, I bent over and tried to catch my breath. Dale leans against the side of his vehicle and folds his arms over his chest. I curse his good physique for not winding him as much as me. After a minute, I regained my breath, stood back up, and stared at the boy before me. The moon glistened off his pale skin, making him look almost angelic. I quickly averted my eyes from him and looked towards the ground.
“So, Doll, how does it feel to be out after curfew?” His teasing tone drips from his mouth, and I can’t help but scuff in response.
“Why don’t you ask me again once we’ve been out for a while?”
“You’re right,” he pauses and then asks, “How does it feel to be out after curfew?” He flashes me his annoying grin. I roll my eyes, but a stupid smile still finds its home on my face.
“Anyways,” I say,  “Where does the ‘oh so famous’ Dale Holt plan to take me.”
“I don’t know,” He shrugs his shoulders.
“What?” That was all I could get out. Doesn’t he know where we’re going? I thought he had a place planned when he asked me to sneak out with him.
“I figured we could drive around until we feel like stopping and make a spot to camp out for the night.” He winks at me. Oh my god. What was that for? My whole body is suddenly sweating in the cold air. There’s no way we’re camping somewhere, and does he plan to do something with me? Sneaking out was so stupid of me. Why did I think this would be an average outing with a friend? But then Dale speaks up like he’s reading the thoughts in my mind. “Relax, Doll. I’ll bring you back before anyone notices, and I won’t do anything to you
 Unless you want me to.”
Why did he have to add that last part? Thankfully, it’s dark out, or he might notice how my face turned into a steaming tomato.
“L-l-lets get going, then.” I rush to the passenger side door and fling myself into the truck before he can say anything else.
Dale gets into the driver’s seat and puts the key into the ignition, causing the truck to roar to life. Once we were out on the desert roads, the brunette male turned the nob to the radio and blasted the music through the speakers. His eyes focused on the road ahead, and mine focused on him. He was carefree, with one arm hanging out the window, wind kissing the tips of his fingers, and the other tapping to the beat of the music while he steered the truck. When the next song came on, Dale turned to me and said it was his favorite. He spun the volume nob in hopes the music would get louder, but it was already up as loud as it could. His other arm returned to the car to clutch the wheel, and Dale began to bang his head along with the beat. Once the lyrics started, he turned to look at me and belted each word at the top of his lungs.
All I could do was stare in awe as he rocked out. A weird feeling washed through my chest as I saw Dale having fun. I couldn’t help but slowly lose myself in the beat and started to bang my head along with his. I didn’t know the lyrics to this song, but that didn’t mean I couldn’t have fun. His smile seemed to grow as he watched me let loose. His voice was off-pitch from the singers’, but oddly, it was my favorite tune. I could listen to him scream-sing any day.
We’ve been on the road for about an hour now, and we’ve been blasting music and dancing/singing along to each song. I didn’t know much about what was playing on the station he had on, but I was starting to love the banging of drums, loud guitar, and gritty vocals. At some point, I rolled down my window and stuck my head out, feeling the wind whip at my cheeks. I’m not sure what came over me, but the overwhelming feeling of screaming into the void of darkness got the better of me. So, I gave in to my intrusive thoughts and screamed as loud as I could.
Dale looked at me questioningly, “What was that, Doll?”
“I couldn’t help myself,” I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks.
Not too long after, Dale turned off onto a dirt road, slowing the truck down once we pulled into a large open field. He threw the vehicle in park, flung the door open, and jumped out. Dale made his way onto the other side and opened the passenger door for me. His soft yet calloused hand grabbed mine, and he helped me hop out of the truck. I didn’t need help; the truck wasn’t tall, but I wouldn’t refuse him. We walked a few feet from the car, and I pulled the blanket out of my bag and laid it down on the ground. Dale plopped his body on the blanket and stared at the sky. I followed his moves and laid down next to the male, making sure to keep a few inches between the two of us. The sky was beautiful. So many stars were visible tonight, and I was trying my best to find all the constellations I could. I looked towards Dale, who was lying there with his eyes closed. His face was soft, and he looked so peaceful.
“Are you sleeping?” I ask the brunette male.
“Just resting my eyes,” Dale spoke quietly.
“Mmhm,” I playfully nudged his side.
Dale propped himself up to face me, causing him to hover slightly over my body. “Not sleeping, Doll.” And thankfully, he laid back down, or else he’d noticed the heat blooming on the apples of my cheeks. Stupid boy is always getting me flustered. I hear the sound of a flame and glance over to see a white stick perched between the male’s lip as he lifts the lighter to said stick, causing the end to glow red as he draws the smoke into his lungs. Dale blows the cloud of smoke into the air and then catches my eyes with his. “You want a drag?” He questioned me.
“Uh, no thanks, I’m good.” Cigarettes give me the ick, but watching the way he inhales and how his jaw and neck move is alarmingly attractive.
“Good answer, Doll, you don’t want to get addicted to these things like me,” Dale lets out another puff.
“It would technically be illegal for me to smoke it, anyways,” I cringe at myself for the ‘goodie-two-shoes’ reply I just gave. I’m supposed to be breaking the rules tonight.
Dale stops mid-drag and looks at me wide-eyed, “What do you mean by that? Aren’t you 18?”
“I’ll be 18 next week,” I said casually.
“Ah, fuck,” Dale runs his hand over his face, and his body tenses up, “I should probably take you home now.”
Why was he freaking out? I know he’s 19, but the fact that I’m not quite 18 shouldn’t bother him. It’s not like we’re doing things we shouldn’t. We’re just hanging out as friends do, but—there is his Juve sentence, so maybe he’s scared people will get the wrong idea if they notice us together?
“You don’t have to worry about people getting the wrong impression about you,” I state.
“You don’t understand,” his voice becomes stern. “People will always have the wrong impression of me.” Dale stands up and motions for me to do the same. A sigh escapes my lips, and I stand up, collecting the blanket and shaking it off before folding it back into my bag. I probably shouldn’t push the issue. He could probably get in trouble if he’s on probation.
“Look, I know you went to Juve,” I said, looking Dale into his deep blue eyes, “I’m not sure why you did what you did, but the Dale I’ve met and have gotten to know is a kind guy. People are stupid to make assumptions based on a mistake you made.”
“Oh, Doll, you don’t know anything about me,” Dale’s voice was low. I could barely catch the hint of sadness behind his tone, but it was there, and it made my chest hurt. He made his way back into the truck, and I just stood where I was, staring at the space where he was standing. I wanted to ask what he meant, and something profound inside me wants to figure it out. Slowly, I returned to the truck and sat on the passenger side. Unlike the ride out here, which was loud and full of laughter, the ride back was quiet and tense. Dale stopped his truck in the same spot where he had picked me up and refused to look at me.
“Well, thank you for this experience,” I said while exiting the vehicle.
I slowly walked back to my house and climbed through the window, placing the screen back where it goes, shutting it, and locking it before drawing the curtains. Once I changed into my pajamas, I got under the covers and snuggled deeply into my blankets. Falling asleep was complicated, with all the thoughts running through my mind. Dale. What is his story?
Tumblr media
AN:
Sorry for the long wait. I wish I could promise this won't happen again, but I'm afraid it probably will đŸ€§. This outing didn't go quite as planned for the reader and Dale. They both wanted to have a good time, but as Dale found out, the reader wasn't precisely 18 yet, and it kind of freaked him out. The last thing he wants is for someone to make a claim that he likes underage girls (even though she'll be 18 soon and he's 19). His record isn't clear, but if someone were to say something like that, it would ruin his life forever. He's also not that kind of guy and would gladly beat anyone to a pulp if they were. He also knows darkness lurks within him, and he feels touched that the reader thinks he's kind. But if she were to uncover all his monsters, he's sure she would think the same about him as everyone else.

This is a repost as I've decided to separate my Battletech tournament musings into separate posts rather than one big thread.
Prev / Next
I won another Alpha Strike tournament! This one was 350PV and Clan Invasion again.
I'll do another deep dive into how it went but for now here's 3 big moments.
First game was in an extremely dense city:
Tumblr media
And I had the city side. For anything without jumpjets or VTOL movement the only way past the wall was the highway or a tunnel in the centre and my opponent only had two with JJs. The highlight here was taking out first a Marauder and then a Marauder IIC as they came over the wall on via the highway with a horrendous amount of Indirect Fire. This was what really clued me in to how good the massed IF was.
2. Second match was on a more open board but there was still lots of Line Of Sight blocking terrain:
Tumblr media
This angle is actually pretty much what my side of the board was. I split my 3 biggest direct fire damage dealers (2 SRM Carriers and a Stalker) between the two firing lanes on either side of the centre mountain. While the side on the left with the SRM Carrier and Stalker was a bit too much firepower and deterred my opponent from taking that lane (useful in its own right), The lone SRM carrier on the right sat behind a tree and helped take out 2 Von Luckner tanks, an Atlas C (the variant I ran last tournament), and a Shadowhawk.
3. Last highlight is also from the second match. My two Cavalry VTOLs spent most of the match in the back lines of my opponent. At effectively TMM5 with a movement of 20" they easily broke LOS with most units they wanted to, and even when they didn't most attacks were hitting at around Target Number 9. So hits were rare and since they have *some* armor they could take a bit of scuffing.
Nothing in match 3 was of particular highlight, mostly because it was a bloody, knock down, drag out fight from the start.
Tumblr media
The opponent destroyed 5 of my 12 while the two prior opponents only destroyed 2. I even lost both my SRM carriers in the first turn. This happened because the deployment of the scenario had us split our forces between opposite corners and place them within 12" of the corner, so there was only 24" between our forces from the jump.
Deep dive time!
SUCCESSES
Identify fire lanes and then control them with heavy direct fire units. It is my opinion that even the most terrain dense boards have firing lanes, it's just a matter of finding them. My goal was to set up my SRM Carriers along those and have the Stalker in one or the other. I had two of them every match, but the effectiveness varied greatly based on scenario and map layout. If they weren't actively firing at targets, they were at least denying those avenues of travel which broke up supporting fire and allowed my faster units to stay out of firing arcs.
The first match in the city had three firing lanes: one across my back line, and two on either side of my half of the board. I held the two side ones but due to the entrances into the city only being on my left because of the wall, that was the one firing lane that saw good use.
The second map was a pair of valleys that formed two lovely firing lanes that ran diagonally in parallel AND had tree cover at my end of them. I plopped the SRM Carriers behind the trees and bombarded anything that showed its face.
The third match was a dense jungle with the least obvious firing lanes, but they did exist along the board edges. I tried to take advantage of them but both SRM Carriers got destroyed in the first turn.
Doing the obvious thing first. I used the LRM Carriers and Heavy LRM Carriers as initiative sinks because a lot of the time it made the most sense to have the missile boats sit still since they didn't need Line Of Sight and didn't lose much TMM. This let me save my more reactive units for later.
I picked a strategy and leaned in. My initial goal with the list was to pack in at least 8 vehicles using what I had available to me. Turns out that a lot of those had missiles, so I made sure EVERYTHING had missiles and then packed in as many NARC beacons as I could. 19.5 Indirect Fire damage BEFORE NARCs is very useful!
Redundancy. While I had 5 pairs of identical units, they weren't run as pairs but as groups of 5. This meant that the tools my opponent needed to deal with them were usually on one side of the board, leaving the other set of 5 to operate with less concern. Additionally if one NARC beacon failed to hit, I usually had a back up to try again, and the same went for my Indirect Fire.
Winning Initiative. Obviously this was in no way a result of my skill, but taking advantage of it was. This is always really useful and luck was on my side for a good chunk of the tournament. It let me hold my VTOLs until the very end to break LOS with them but still have eyes on the enemy.
Using the Stiletto as a spotter. I brought the Stiletto to counter ECM with its own so that my NARCs didn't get suppressed, however, none of my opponents brought ECM so I needed another use for it. With its 16" speed and skill 5 it ended up being an excellent spotter that I didn't need to shoot with. Its TMM3, 4 armor, and taking advantage of cover also meant that I didn't have to worry too much about it if it was within an enemy's firing arc.
Giving the LRM Carriers and Heavy LRM Carriers skill 3. This let them effectively negate the penalty for Indirect Fire and since they sat still so often they were basically skill 2 for most of the tournament. So they were often hitting on 6s or 7sat medium range, and *only* 9s at long.
MISPLAYS
If there are no useful fire lanes, I needed to be more aggressive with the direct fire units. In the first match one of my SRM Carriers was watching a lane that didn't get much traffic due to the city board layout. I should have moved it up to the same lane as the other SRM Carrier but I was worried about needing it to defend my objective (the scenario was capture the flag with some twists). When something finally came for the objective, it was a fire moth that immediately went outside of its firing arc and the nearby Heavy LRM Carrier, which has a turret, had to deal with it.
Not having a good plan for enemies that rushed me. In match 1 there was a Fire Moth carrying a unit of Battle Armor and the pair basically wrecked one of my Ravens. I tried to deal with them using one of my VTOLs but their high TMM made them hard to hit and their speed meant they were often outside of anything else's firing.
In match 3 the scenario gave us deployment zones that made us split our forces between opposite corners with 12" deployment zones, so it was bloody from the first turn as even the relatively slow Kodiak of my opponent was already in medium range. All of his forces pushed in on me from 2 sides, so I largely stayed concealed using terrain and fairing arcs, and anything that he saw almost always got deleted under the withering Clan firepower. I managed to win the match but only in the last turn and by a single Victory Point.
In the prior tournament my Lyran force had two body guard units, an Axman and a Hatchetman (though mostly just the Axman), specifically for these kind of situations and this list didn't have an equivalent.
LESSONS LEARNED FROM LAST TOURNAMENT
Splitting up my heavy hitters. I had 5 units that did 5 or more damage at medium range: 2 SRM Carriers, 2 Heavy LRM Carriers, and a Stalker. I split the pairs across either side of my deployment zone to give me better coverage and it worked! It was especially effective if I took the time to advance the very slow (MV 4") Heavy LRM Carriers up enough so that they they had medium range for most of the board.
SURPRISES
No real MVPs. The foundation of my list was "take as many vehicles as is feasible" and, after looking at the minis I have, "take as many missile units as possible." This combined arms nature meant that there was generally a lot of redundancy in action so the workload got spread around. Everything was useful but not a star.
Relying on Indirect Fire forced me to focus fire. I generally aim to focus fire each turn, ideally on the same target as the previous turn, but IF really drives it home. Needing a spotter, preferably one that doesn't shoot, means I was dedicating points to a unit that wasn't doing any damage on their own but would facilitate the 16 IF damage from the 4 LRM Carriers. The Ravens and VTOLs also made decent back up spotters if I needed a second target, but I preferred to add their NARCs and damage respectively.
When my opponents played defensively it was to my advantage. When my opponents used LOS breaking cover, that gave me opportunities to isolate enemies with spotters outside of their firing arcs who were also cut off from their own supporting fire, but still vulnerable to my IF. Additionally, moving slowly meant that I was able to take more shots on these targets than if they had rushed me.
It was a great time and I'm super excited for the next tournament! Hopefully I'll get a chance to put the lessons from this tournament to use, though I don't know what I'll run to do that as I base my lists on whims. Last time it was mechs with MEL, this time it was vehicles with missiles, maybe I'll do C3 list next!

“I never pegged you for a liar”
“You might be a foot taller than me but I won’t hesitate to deck you if you don’t shut up”
“You said you didn’t know him!”
“I never said such thing” you argued back, it was the typical morning for you. And by typical you mean Jungwoo bothering you as you work around the shop. Everyday he makes you wonder why you hired him in the first place.
“Your ex is Jung Jaehyun, the CEO of Jung Publishing. Their company is like established world wide, his sisters work abroad and his youngest brother works here. The world really is small after all”
“You sound like a fan”
“I can’t believe I tease Sungchan like that when his family can buy the whole block”
“Better start saying your apologies then” you mumbled
The bell ringed just then, making the two of you look up. “Speaking of, Sungchan, Jungwoo has something to say to you” You said as the younger boy walk towards the front counter
“Did I do something wrong again? I swear I didn’t mix up the salt and sugar this time”
“This time?” you asked
“No no no, you didn’t do anything wrong” you and Jungwoo spoke at the same time, the taller boy looking between the two of you like a little kid worried he might get scolded over something
“It was one time, and in my defense it was partly Jungwoo hyung’s fault. He put the two side by side”
“I kinda don’t want to know”
“You have something to say to me?” Sungchan asked Jungwoo, you just chuckled at the latter “You know, you’re a liar too”
“Too? What did I lie about exactly?”
“You’re a Jung!”
“He literally said that the day he applied here, technically he didn’t lie about anything. I was just dumb enough not to put two and two together” you answered for the younger boy. The three of you proceeded to work, the two boys in the kitchen area getting some pastries ready for display, you can hear them bickering from back there.
“Uhm noona, can I ask you something?” you were surprised by the sudden voice breaking the silence in your office, there Sungchan stood by the door peaking in
“Sure, come in. What is it?”
“Am I fired?”
“Why? Did you switch the sugar with salt again?” you chuckled, trying to make him feel less nervous
“Uhm I kinda heard what happened yesterday at home. I swear I wasn’t eavesdropping but you know, you guys weren’t exactly quiet”
You just smiled at the boy, he was so much like his siblings yet so different. He definitely got the good looking genes, much like his older brother he also has a weird sense of humor. But one thing that sets them apart is how shy and nervous Sungchan seems to be, like a little puppy being introduced to the world.
“Of course you’re not fired. Whatever happened between me and your brother has got nothing to do with you, I kinda didn’t even know you were siblings up until yesterday”
“I didn’t know you were his ex too” you chuckled at his answer, of course he didn’t. You never met  the young boy when you and Jaehyun dated, you’ve met his sisters and his mom but you never got the chance to meet his father and his youngest sibling.
“That was a long time ago, you were probably still in middle school when we dated”
“He moved out of our house during his third year in college, I never expected he will cause mom wanted him to stay home. But one day he kinda just packed his things then he was out the door. Mom was so mad at him”
The two of you broke up the summer before third year of college, you left for Paris a few weeks before school started. You asked the university to let you go and transfer, which they thankfully approved.
Then you were on the next flight out. Not a single goodbye said.
You never heard from Jaehyun after that, you couldn’t bring yourself to ask about him. You had no right to, after what happened. So the story Sungchan told you was new news to you.
“He really liked the cake by the way, when he came to pick me up yesterday he asked if I could buy him another one”
“It is his favorite flavor” you smiled at the memory.
Jaehyun may or may not be the inspiration behind the uniquely flavored cake, when you were making the menu for your cafe you couldn’t help but add that selection. Given that not many people will like it but still you wanted to make it,
“So I’m not fired right?”
“No, I might have to ask Jungwoo about the salt incident though”
“No matter what he say, he was partly at fault”
Tumblr media
This was honestly the last place you thought you’ll be at. You must look so silly right now, standing in the lobby of a corporate building in your sundress holding  cake boxes while the receptionist stares you down.
“I’m sorry miss but I can’t just let you go up without an appointment”
“Okay uhm can I talk to someone that I give this to and take it upstairs?” you asked, gesturing at the boxes you brought
“Sorry we don’t allow solicitations” she smiled at you, but you know she was pretty annoyed at you.
You were just about to give up when you hear someone call your name,
“Y/N? Is that you?”
“Hi, Jess” you smiled back at her, “You brought a gift?” she asked, nodding at the box
“Yea, one of them is for you actually. It’s kind of late for your birthday but I thought you might like it”
Jessica smiled at you before taking the box and linking one arm around yours, the receptionist long forgotten.
“Let’s go upstairs, come on” then she whisked you away. When you got the elevator, the two of you made small chats. She was talking about how the designers loved the photos you took during the shoot,
“You should do it again sometime”
“It’s just a hobby now, really” you smiled at her suggestion, you did major in photography for the first two years in college but after moving schools, you decided to change majors too. Culinary was still hard to do, but you enjoyed every second if it. It was also a good thing that you were just as good with a camera as you are with a whisk.
“And let me guess, that one is for Jae” Jessica nodded at the box you were holding
You were about to say no but you both know that wasn’t the truth so you just laughed, “You know after you he never really dated anyone seriously. Chunga is a great girl and yet they never worked out. It’s like he already knew it wasn’t going to, no one was like you so why try”
“I don’t think he actually thinks that” you mumbled, “Just accept it, my brother is still very much smitten with you. He’s just trying to act all tough because he doesn’t want to get hurt again” she shot you a smile.
The two of you stepped out the elevator, you just followed Jessica since you’re not really sure where she was going
“I’m sorry” you know saying those words will never suffice but you still say it anyways.
“Don’t say sorry to me, you didn’t do anything wrong to me. And to Jaehyun too, just be gentle with him” she shot you that sisterly smile
“I don’t think he wants to talk to me, can you give this to him though?”
“Why don’t you give it to him yourself?”
“That’s not really a good idea, I don’t want to ruin his day”
“Believe me, you’ll be the best part of his day” she said as she open the door to her office you assume. She gestured for you to come in first, so you did.
When you turned around you almost lost your grip on the box you were holding,
“Okay, can’t say I walked right into that one” you mumbled, hearing a chuckle from Jessica who was standing behind you
“Enjoy” Jessica says from behind you before closing the door.
Jaehyun almost didn’t go to work today. Yesterdays revelations were too much to take in, of course it didn’t go down without an argument between him and his mother. Plus you were there and you looked like you just wanted to get away from him again, but you stayed rooted at your spot.
The two of you didn’t exchange any words besides an apology you muttered on your way out the door. He really thought that was the last of you he’ll see.
And now you’re here. In his office. He almost pinched himself to make sure he wasn’t dreaming right now because if he’s being honest it wouldn’t be the first time you’ve appeared in his dreams.
“What brings you here?”
“Uh, I’m not sure?”
“You’re not sure?”
“I didn’t think this far ahead”
He can’t help but chuckled at your expression. You were still standing awkwardly by the door, looking around his office.
“You know you can come closer, I don’t bite. Unless-”
“Okay don’t continue that sentence” you said as you walk towards his desk, putting the cake carefully on his table
“What’s this?”
“An apology gift”
“So you’re bribing me now” okay ouch.
He must have noticed the change in your expression because he quickly added, “I didn’t mean it like that”
“No no, it’s fine”
Then it was silent, not the awkward type of silence. You weren’t sure where to look so you just looked down at your feet, you hear a chuckle from Jaehyun
“What?”
“Just yesterday you were close to tears and now you’re here bringing me cake”
You smiled gently at his words, taking a deep breath before speaking again
“It was like a weight lifted off of my shoulder, at least now I don’t have anything to hide from you. There’s no monsters hiding in my closet or something like that. I don’t expect you to forgive me and forget about it. But I do want to fix this, the least I could do is make up for the wrongs that I did”
“Was it wrong?”
“I took your mom’s money, the money that she gave me to break up with you. She pretty much paid me”
“You said it yourself you never touched a cent”
“I couldn’t. I wouldn’t. It wasn’t worth it”
“Wasn’t worth what?” Jaehyun asked, he wasn’t why he did or what answer he wanted to hear from you but he asked anyway
“It wasn’t worth totally losing you. I knew if I used it then that meant I agreed with your mom. I only did what I did not because of the money but because I wanted you to be free from the burden you were feeling. She was never going to let us be if we continued dating, so I just took the money and disappeared”
He didn’t expect you to be this truthful and open about it, but then again you never really lied to him. He knew you like the back of his hand, even after all these years. There was no use to lying if it’s with him, he'll just see right through you.
“You could’ve said goodbye”
“You would’ve known then, you would’ve stopped me from going then we both wouldn’t be where we are now” You answered,  this time there were no screams, no anger no sadness.
“Are you happy?” he asked
“Yes, it wasn’t always like this. There were a lot of hard days, now I’m just glad I got through all of that” you answered with a smile, you look over at him to find him already staring at you. “Are you happy, Jaehyun?” you asked him
“I can be”
As he said those words he also held your gaze, looking like he was staring right through you. This wasn’t the Jaehyun you’ve talked to previously, the one that was always angry and throwing words at you. This was just Jaehyun, the Jaehyun you used to know.
But then again he isn’t. He has changed so much in the past five years, as you have. Maybe you two were tossed together by fate at the wrong time, and it ended badly. But here you are now.
You’re not expecting a second shot at love with him, it wasn’t your time then so who call tell it is now? you were willing to gamble again but this time you both were too scared to lose. To hurt to ever risk falling again. Happiness is pretty much what all you want for him.
He deserves to be happy, even if it meant you had to end what you had in order for him to start again.

Midnight Roses 3 pt 1 (repost)

Pairing: DarkAngel!BTS/Female!Reader
Warning: Homophobia, depression, slight mention of self harm
A/N:  This is my story I am just reposting because my old links weren’t working! Hi my loves this chapter will jump back to before they got kicked out of their kingdom and go more into depth as to why they got kicked out! I hope you enjoy it also this is part 1 to a 3 part chapter also this one and the next chapters are short don’t worry I make up in part 3
.
.
.
Growing up in a place that was well known for their morals was not easy for these boys in fact, everyone that lived here knew what they were supposed to do, when they were supposed to do it, and how it need to be done.
These morals were passed down through generations and anyone that broke them did not live to tell about it.
But for them they got an easy pass everyone seemed to know that they were different but they turned a blind eye towards it because they were the princes of the seven kingdoms and nobody said anything to them because they would lose their lives or they would be banished forever.
Ever since he was young Taehyung knew that he was different he just didn’t know how, when he was around nine years old he started to ask his mom what made them who they were, were they evil, mean, were they murders why did they have to have the name dark angels.
“Honey, you are only who you make yourself to be we are not evil, we are not mean and we are not murders. Don’t let others tell you otherwise you are the sweetest purest hearted person I know always remember that” his mom used to always say
He went through life with that mindset he didn’t want to be what others made him out to be he would be himself and he would follow the rules that were branded into their minds as young kids, but that all changed when he met two people.
Now he never really knew about soulmates he just thought that you met someone who was a girl, you fell in love just like how his mom and dad did so when Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook came into his life he didn’t understand why he felt so attracted to them and why his heart would race whenever they were around but when he found out.
He wanted to die
He knew it was wrong, he knew that if he parents found out they would disown him or even worse banish him.
He also knew it was forbidden to date someone of the same gender it was like an unspoken rule but everyone knew the consequence of ever doing it, he thought that he would go through life without ever speaking to them, being around them, or loving them.
Wrong
Everything was wrong
He couldn’t do it, it hurt him to his core to see the pain that they were all in but it hurt worse knowing that they would never be able to be together the only thing that he could think of that would allow them and his family to have a normal life is if he wasn’t in the picture.
.
.
.
Their lives were over
When Jimin and Jungkook met each other they thought that their lives were over they both knew what soulmates where and how important they were to the kingdom as a whole who your soulmate was could make or break you and your family.
They thought that maybe if they kept it under wraps that it would be okay that they could be together and nobody would ever know but that got times harder when they met Taehyung.
They had never heard of someone have multiple soulmates and all of them being of the same gender that was even more uncommon. They were lost they didn’t know what to do going to their parents was out of the question they would only make it to where they couldn’t see each other at all even though they knew what would happen to soulmates that didn’t see each other.
But what they didn’t know is that there were four other people going through the same thing, four other people that had to choose between love or power, four other people...
That were fated to these poor souls

The auditorium is completely empty except for the figure who’s moving gracefully along the sounds of the piano who is also illuminated by a single spot light. You can’t help but be enthralled at how the dance looks so flawlessly done, instantly enthralling you as you observe the scene from afar by the door.
It’s something about the way he danced paired with the slow melancholic sounds that got you in this serene state, enough to capture the emotions he was trying to convey through his movements but then the sound transitioned to a much faster pace thus making his movements more intense and stronger yet still graceful.
You watch him as he quickly stood up from the floor as he took long strides to swiftly jump in the air. After he landed on his feet, he turned himself to do a pirouette until he suddenly fell on his knees with his hands on the floor and head looking down. It was done smoothly hence you don’t know if that was an accident or it was part of the choreography.
When he finally finished, you think that he must’ve momentarily looked over your way when he turned to looked up as he tried to catch his breath but he quickly broke the eye contact as if he’s not bothered by your presence, standing up to move around the stage to stretch his body. For a moment, you tried to recall the question you’re going to ask as you were a bit still preoccupied.
“Uh hi, do you happen to know if a staff is around here?” you asked as you walked along the aisle, moving closer to the stage to peer up at him but he continued to stretch his legs as if you weren’t there or did he just not heard you?
“Excuse me, is there a staff from the facilities office here?” you said a bit louder which made him finally look at you but it looks like he was unsure whether that question is directed at him as he turned to look sideways to see if you were talking to someone.
“I’m talking to you” you awkwardly chuckled because as far as you know, you two are the only ones inside the auditorium.
“Uh no” he quietly said as he eyes you suspiciously as if he wasn’t bothered by you just awhile ago.
“But who’s operating the sound system?” you pointed to the technician booth at the balcony.
“I-I do” he stuttered as he furrowed his eyebrows at you which made you feel weird and awkward but you guessed that he’s just irritated that you watched him practice, figuring out that he wants to practice alone, you interrupted him after all.
“Right um I’ll just come back tomorrow” you said as you walk backwards, his gaze still on you as if he’s trying to figure you out or something.
“The dance was great though” you complimented him just so he wouldn’t feel so irritated but it’s not like you didn’t mean it though but he did not mutter any word, feeling more awkward, you turned around to push the doors to exit the auditorium.
 --
You have managed to catch after Areum and Eunha at the cafĂ© but they we’re close to finishing their meals so you just ordered yourself an Iced Mocha. They had brought up the upcoming program, prodding you what would be the major prize as you we’re one of the committee but you dismissed them to say that it’s a surprise.
“I thought hell week is supposed to be over but not for us” Eunha said.
Unfortunately, after studying for the preliminary examinations you were right away bombarded with tasks about the general assembly instead of redeeming your deserved rests though it’s not just you who’s busy with this. In fact, all of the literature student practices hard for their performance skit.
Your day is always packed with obligations as you try to help the other junior executives in making props during the morning, attending classes in the afternoon, and processing requirements or studying in the evening.
“We deserve to drink after this, specially you Y/N” Eunha said, chuckling as you agreed.
After a while, Areum who also happens to live in the same building as yours, invited you to head back to the dorms saying that she feels sleepy. You bid goodbye to Eunha as you separated ways, walking along with Areum to your dorms.
“I thought you were going to have that sign?” Areum said as she eyes the paper you were holding, pressing the 6th floor and 8th floor button in the elevator.
“They’re already closed by the time I got there” you said as she hummed. Your mind reeled back to the boy you saw in the auditorium but before you ponder over it too much, the elevator dinged signaling you were at your floor.
You bid goodbye to Areum as you walk to your room, unzipping your bag pocket as you take out the keys and insert them in the door knob. Plopping down on your bed, thinking of how tiring this week was even though it’s only Monday but it felt like a week had passed by already.
You let out a little scream when you saw Jungkook’s head suddenly popped out from above your bed, still not used to the double deck bed setting in your room. He laughed as he caught the pillow you threw at him as he threw it right back at you.
Jungkook is a junior student majoring in Advertising Arts in the same university as yours and he became your roommate when you saw his post saying that he’s looking for a roommate in a Facebook Group for freshmen students.
Jungkook jumped down from his bunk as he went to your mini kitchen, taking out six cups of ramen from the cabinet. “Have you eaten dinner?” he asked you as he filled the electric water boiler.
“Not yet” you said as you sat up from the bed to remove your backpack and untie your shoelaces.
“Alright, I’ll make you one” you thanked Jungkook, taking out fresh clothes from the closet as you head straight to the bathroom, telling him that you’ll take a shower first while you wait for it to cook.
When you had gotten out of the bathroom you saw Jungkook sitting on the computer chair as he mindlessly scrolled through his phone, six cups of ramen placed on the computer table. You grabbed a monobloc chair as you situated yourself next to him.
“Let’s eat” Jungkook said as he put down his phone to place a cup of ramen in front of you.
“You could’ve eaten first you know” the ramen got significantly less warm probably because you took your time to wash up in the shower.
“Isn’t it rude to go ahead first?” he said as he savored the last remains of his first out of five cups of ramen, “You could get more if you’re still hungry” you laughed as you remember the first time you got here, opening the cabinet you were surprised to see that it’s full of ramen – different varieties of them. It’s easy to cook which makes it one of the efficient food available for college students as what Jungkook told you.
“Oh you’re wearing it” Jungkook said as he referred to the bracelet you found last night, “It looks familiar” he took a closer look at your wrist while observing it.
“Maybe it is yours?” Jungkook shook his head but then he snapped his fingers as if he now remembers it.
“Ah I think it was from Taehyung, he was my roommate for two years.”
“Maybe you should return this to him” you said as you were about to remove it but Jungkook stopped you.
“It’s yours now, I think he forgot or left it when he moved out” he told you.
“But it’s still his” Jungkook scoffed saying that Taehyung wouldn’t probably mind if you wore it since it was just one of the many bracelets he owns.
“That guy’s hard to contact now ever since he graduated, don’t know if he’s still alive at this point so keep it as you wish” Jungkook laughed as he remembered the last time he saw Taehyung where he had hugged the older one to bid him farewell. He was ready to leave the dorm to go back to Busan while Taehyung will still be staying a few weeks more in the dorm for graduation preparations.
It was the last memory Jungkook had with Taehyung though he had tried to reach out to him through messages but Taehyung never seemed to reply or even leave a seen receipt, figuring out that he must’ve been busier now.
 --
After your class ended, you rushed out of the room as you head to the Fine Arts Building, not wanting the same fate to happen to you again. You looked at your wristwatch to see that it’s already 5:58 P.M. by the time you ran up the stairs of the music building.
The sound of your labored breath and the door chimes filled the quiet facilities office. You noticed that there are no people inside the glass window booths to assist you until two women got out from the door as they locked it.
“Good Afternoon, I’m from the literature department and-“
“Sorry dear we’re already closed” the woman said as she put the keys inside the bag and switched the lights off inside the booths.
“I just need a signature from Ms. Lee for our receiving copy” you told them as you showed the request letter.
“Ms. Lee’s absent today, how about you come back tomorrow? Our office opens at 9 A.M.”
“Couldn’t any of you sign the paper instead? I’m sorry but It’s kind of urgent” you pleaded but they dismissed you once again saying that they needed the computers to check the program validity and Ms. Lee’s permission since they’re only just part time workers in the office.
You stood there frustrated in the hallway as you watch them lock the outside door of the office. They turned around to smile apologetically at you before they walked away. You let out a muffled groan when they were out of your sight as you messaged Daeun that Ms. Lee’s out of the office and you’ll try to come back again tomorrow.
As you were walking along the hallway, you once again hear the sounds of the piano, making you stop in your tracks. You turned around to look at the auditorium doors thinking if the boy you saw yesterday is inside practicing again. You walked back and sneakily peeked your head inside the door, confirming that it is the same boy from yesterday.
You quietly made your way inside as you sat on the last row. You wouldn’t want all of those walking to go into waste so you guessed it’d be pretty reasonable to watch his performance again.
There’s something about the way he danced that got you instantly hooked and enthralled by it. His body moves so fluidly easy along with the music and you’d watch it over and over again if you could but you were pulled out from spectating him when he spoke up.
“You’re here” he said after he finished his dance, tying the shoelaces of his black high tops converse but you remained quiet not wanting to give away your presence even though he already did but regardless you slouched on your seat to hide yourself considering it’d be pretty hard for him to spot you since it’s pitch black inside except for the stage.
“I could see you from here you know” he looked up to smile at you, mentally cursing yourself for not sneaking carefully enough, you just planned to catch a quick glimpse of his practice then leave quietly and perfectly unnoticeable.
“I’m sorry if I intruded” you sigh as you stood up from your seat to leave but then he shouted a wait just before you could grab the handle of the door.
“Can you see me?” he asked you with total curiosity.
“Yes” you furrowed your eyebrows, confused as to why he would ask such an obvious question. He nodded slowly as he sat himself cross legged on the stage, twirling his fingers around his shoelaces whilst still looking at you.
“Good, just making sure that I can be seen ‘til the very last row” he said, “Lighting is very important when it comes to performances.”
“Can you come closer?” he told you though you’re a bit wary if you should, not knowing if the smile on his face is supposed to be cunning but nevertheless you walked closer to the stage whilst he continuously stared at you as you made your way to the end of the stage, gripping your backpack slings.
“What are you doing here?” you furrowed your brows to see if he asked that sarcastically or out of irritation but his face showed no sign of it but genuine curiosity as to why you’re here.
“I went to the facilities office to give them this”, you raised your hand to show the request letter, “but they’re already close and I heard music coming from here when I was about to leave so” you said as your eyes remained on the paper to fold its edges perhaps too shy to even make an eye contact.
“Don’t tell them” he said, his voice now much clearer as he sat at the edge of the stage in front of you. For a second, you were clueless as to who is this ‘them’ but then realized later that he was talking about the facilities office.
You peered up to see him lightly swinging his dangling feet, “Tell them what?”
“That I practice here every night”
“Are you not allowed to?” you tilted your head to the side.
“It’s the only place I could really practice” you nodded, deciding not to question him any further.
“What’s your name?” he asked as he looked right straight at you.
 “I’m Y/N and you are?”
“I’m Jimin” he nodded as he stood up to stretch his arms.
“What’s your major?” he said, looking down on his wrist to play with his bracelets, “I’m a senior majoring in Theatre Arts by the way.” You were confused to say the least because yesterday it looks like he was shooting daggers at you with his eyes but now he seems to be a whole lot friendlier and more talkative.
 “A freshman majoring in Literature”
He quirked his eyebrows at your statement, “Oh so you’re not from this building then.”
“Ah yes, like I told you I’m just here to have this sign. We have an upcoming general assembly on the 29th”, you plopped down on one of the seats in the first row, figuring that you’ll talk for a while but it began to be awkward again as the silence mixed in with the piano sounds but it might just be you who feels that as you watch him nonchalantly repeating some of the steps from his performance.
“This is for my audition to this well known dance company in the country” it took you a while to catch on to what he was talking about until you figured out that he was referring to his dance piece. You really don’t know why Jimin would tell you this but it’s not like you don’t mind, it’s just that you find It odd how he’s sharing this kind of things to someone he just met yesterday but guessed that it’s just the way he is.
“I would want to join there after I graduate” he smiled as he looked up at you only for it to falter slowly. His face now portraying a quite unsure look as he switches from looking at you then to the floor.
You gently smiled at him as a way for him to know that you’re okay with him talking but he must’ve realized he’s oversharing some things about him, realizing that he maybe felt embarrassed that you’re not responding to him so you tried to say something but before you could, the smile returned to his face as he went in position to start dancing again.
 --
Your hands are filled with smudges of blue as you paint the letters ‘LIT’ which will be needed in the stage for the program. You managed to arrive at school early to help in the preparations while you wait for your classes to start.
“Hey Y/N!” Daeun greeted as soon as she entered the organization room, “I have free time, I’d pass the letter at the office today” she said as she squatted next to you.
“No I promise I’ll have it sign by today” you told her, placing back the piece of hair behind your ear, “Plus it’s the least thing I could do, you mostly did the work in organizing this event.”
“Please Y/N you seem busy enough, don’t discredit yourself” but you dismissed her saying that it’d be no hassle to go back to the Fine Arts Building but there is also an underlying reason why you want to go back to that building or to be more specific, the auditorium.
Last night, you watched Jimin do another practice round of his dance before you told him that you’re going to head back to your dorm, remembering that you still have things to do. You expected Jimin to get mad that you sneaked inside to watch him, admittedly what you did was wrong as it could be uncomfortable for him but he was rather very welcoming towards you that he even asked you if you’d see him tomorrow.
The day went on as usual with you attending classes though it has slipped your mind that your schedule ends later than the other days and now maybe you’re in for another failed attempt at getting the letter to be signed. You decided that you’ll cut your World Literature class so you could go early to the office, not wanting to burden Daeun anymore.
But you were left with no choice when Eunha texted you that your professor assigned a graded activity for today. You grunted as you ran up the stairs to go back to the classroom, excusing yourself for being late as you enter and sat down on your chair. There was really no choice because once you missed an activity there’ll be no other way to make up for it unless it’s a valid excuse.
You’re beyond stressed as you looked at the clock and fidget with your fingers, listening to your professor as she gave out the instructions rather slowly as if the world isn’t more against you but you we’re immediately relieved to hear that you’re all free to leave if the said activity will be finished earlier.
Everyone worked right away as it’s the last class of the day for all of you. Fortunately, you all managed to get it done in 30 minutes. You waved goodbye to Areum and Eunha as you skipped down the stairs.
It was quarter to six when you got in the office, there was a bit of a line but you finally got it signed. All of your worries are now drained out of you as soon as you got out of the office, your eyes landed on the doors of the auditorium but you couldn’t hear the usual sounds of the piano.
You opened the door but to your surprise Jimin’s not to be found on the stage. There is no any source of light, making the empty auditorium eerily scary. You closed the door as you leaned back on the balcony of the hallway, glancing at your watch to see that it’s 10 minutes before 6 P.M.
You did remember Jimin saying that you should not tell the office that he’s in there to practice, figuring out that he only starts to do so after the office closes so as to not raise any suspicions thus you wait.
As the clock hit 6, Ms. Lee and the part time workers got out to lock the office. They exchanged smiles with you, relieved that they didn’t question why you were still there. You went inside the auditorium once they’re out of your sight.
The spotlight is on the moment you entered inside but Jimin is still nowhere to be found. You sat on one of the chairs at the last row, busying yourself with your phone as you wait for him to arrive. As usual, the soft sounds of piano filled the place. You looked up to see Jimin starting his piece and as per usual you just sat there as you stare in awe at how good he is. It’s like you’re watching a story unfold just by the movements of his body.
“Hey you’re back”, Jimin said with a delightful smile on his face, sitting down on the ledge of the stage after finishing his piece.
“Why are you there again? Come closer” he chuckled, waving his hand for you to come. You stood up as you sat in the first row, shyly muttering an apology.
“I’m glad you came” he told you as he swung his legs faster quite resembling to a puppy who’s excited to see it’s owner after a long day, laughing as you adjusted yourself on the seat.
“It’s my birthday today” he blurted out of the blue, then that clearly explains his enthusiastic attitude for today.
“Really? Happy Birthday” you exclaimed but then you were confused as to why he’s here if it’s his birthday then, “But why are you still practicing then?”
“I can’t skip practice” he said.
“Even on your birthday?” he opened his mouth to say something but decided against it as he fiddled with his fingers until he finally spoke.
“Truth be told; I have no friends to celebrate it with” you peered up at Jimin, feeling sorry for him but if he’s a senior student he surely made some friends on the way specially with his friendly personality.
“I’m delayed by a year so you see, all of my friends had graduated already” he explained as he laughed to ease the mood.
Oh. You even felt more bad for him guessing that he has to spend his birthday alone with no friends and family on his side and so you bit your fingers as you try to gain some confidence.
“Do you wanna maybe eat dinner with me? No one deserves to celebrate their birthday alone” you tried to reason out as you spoke in a rush manner.
“Don’t feel bad for me besides I have to practice remember?” he smiled as he waved his hand to dismiss you.
“After your practice maybe?” you said with the last bit of confidence in you but it was totally wiped out as you let your embarrassment swallow you whole when he told you that he practices until the campus closes, taking the hint that he was declining your offer possibly in the nicest way.
“It’s nice having you around” he said when he sensed your embarrassment, not wanting for you to take his statement in a wrong way as he climbed down the stairs to sit on the first row besides your backpack.  Jimin turned to look at you as you fumble something in your bag until you showed him a mango juice box.
“This was supposed to be my snack but I forgot to drink it today” you bought it in a convenience store while you were on your way to class and it’s the only thing you could give something to him for his birthday, “I know it’s lame but take it as a gift.”
“I’m kind of on a diet” he scratched his head, “But that’s thoughtful of you so thank you” he smiled as his eyes turned into crescent ones. You took back your outstretched hand, shrugging it off as you placed it in the seat between you two, telling him to drink it later when he feels like it.
It was silent for a while and you tried to rake your mind as you think of questions for him just to make a conversation. You thought it’d be a good gesture to initiate a conversation since he’s been the one doing it mostly but you can only think of nothing – you’re not keen on small talks.
“Do you miss them?” you asked but instantly regretted it for how it sounds so awkward saying it out loud, “Sorry, you don’t need to answer that” you said, thinking it might be too personal or sensitive for Jimin to answer but he answered you regardless.
“Yeah, sometimes, it’s sad to think that I’m left behind here” he said, “I wish they would remember me today.” You looked sideways at him, figuring that maybe his friends haven’t greeted him yet or forgot that it’s his birthday today.
“They’re probably busy with their work now” Jimin said with a smile on his face and it saddens you how he’s fine and unbothered with it but you wanted to reason out that it’s no excuse that they forgot his birthday until you realized that you’re in no place to tell him that.
“It’s okay to go through life at your own pace” you comforted him, it’s the least thing you could say hoping it’ll help him in a way as he flashed you a smile.

Warnings:None!
A/N: Yes this story is mine I am just reposting because my links weren’t working!
.
.
.
Ever since you and your best friend where young you guys were able to read each other’s face you could tell what the other was thinking just by looking at their face but right now you couldn’t tell if she wanted to scream, laugh or send you to a mental hospital.
You watched as she slowly put down her drink “What the hell are you talking about Y/N” she asked confused “It’s a long story” she chuckled “I have time” you shook your head “But I don’t I have to leave in an hour” you said sadly, she let out a breath of air “Fine I’m coming with you” your jaw dropped what did she mean she was coming with you “Y/N if you leave I have no reason to stay none of my family is here only you so if you go I go”
.
.
You didn’t know how you were going to explain this to the guys they seemed more than ready for you to come to Korea with them so what is one added person, you slowly opened the door and you could hear the laughter from the living room for the first time in years your house actually felt like a home and now you were leaving it.
“Guys this is my friend F/N” you nervously said as she stood next to you, they all stopped what they were doing and stared at you both without saying anything well this is not going how you expected it to “Um... She is coming to Korea with us” they again said nothing “Please say something” you asked desperately “Hi my name is Namjoon but I am sure you already know that” he said as he walked up to your friend and shook her hand “Y-yes I do I know all of your names not like in a weird way but like I am an fan and Army  well they are the same thing- you know I am just going to stop talking” Namjoon just nodded his head towards her with a light smile on his face “Y/N can we please talk to you” you nodded your head and followed behind him
“Why is she coming with you” he asked as soon as your bedroom door was closed “Well you know I couldn’t really break the fact that I have SUPERNATURAL SOULMATES to her and she talked me into letting her come with us she won’t be a problem I promise” Namjoon looked at his other soulmates that were standing behind you “Fine but she has thirty five minutes to pack then we need to leave” you excitedly gave him a hug and started towards the door “Oh Y/N when we get to Korea can you please tell her everything” you stopped in your tracks “sure” that was a lie but they didn’t have to know.
.
.
You had never been on a plane before so this was terrifying all of the boys had tried to calm you down but it wasn’t really working, every now and then you would look over at your friend and would meet her questioning glance you could tell that she wanted to know how you guys had become so close in such short time and you hoped she could tell that you dreaded landing in Korea.
“Please fasten your seatbelts until we say that you are allowed to take it off we will be arriving in Seoul, South Korea in twelve hours” the flight attendant said over the intercom you tried to put your seatbelt on but you were shaking so bad that it was near impossible to do, Jimin saw that you were struggling so he reached over and buckled it for you while he was sitting back he grabbed your hand and gave it a squeeze “Everything will be okay I am here” he said sweetly
“Please enjoy your flight”
.
.
The feeling of someone shaking you slightly woke you up but you were so tired that you started to doze off again “Y/N wake up” the softest voice said while they kept shaking you “Were here” at that statement you opened your eyes and was met with Jimin’s soft gaze “We are in Korea look” he said as he pointed to your window you turned you head and all you saw was buildings and water “How many buildings are in Seoul” you asked as you turned you head back to Jimin “A lot” he said with a chuckle
The flight attendant said something in Korean that you didn’t understand at that moment you realized that you would need to learn Korean to survive here everything had been happening so fast that you never even thought about how you were going to survive in Korea you didn’t have a job, place, and to top it off you didn’t even understand the language Jimin saw the look of panic on your face and squeezed you hand that he hadn’t let go of since you took off “What’s wrong Y/N” he asked concern laced in his words “How am I going to live here I don’t have a place or a job also I don’t speak the freaking language” Jimin started at you for a second before he broke out in a fit of laughter “It’s not funny Jimin” you said as you tore you hand out of his grasp “I am honestly scared and your laughing at me” you folded your arms and sat back in your sit.
“I’m sorry baby but you don’t think that we didn’t take care of all of that for you” you looked at him confused “We got you a two bedroom apartment which isn’t too far from where we live because we can’t be apart for long periods of time, you also won’t need a job because we have everything covered but if you want to find one I am sure our company will hire you also we can teach you Korean you will be fine” so is this what it is like having rich soulmates “What about F/N” you asked as Jimin sat back in his seat and buckled his seatbelt after the flight attendant said something else.
“We got her covered too”
.
.
Before you got off the plane Jimin put a mask in your hand “Put this on and find your friend she should be with one of our mangers we will have to go in front of you we can’t have anybody knowing that your our soulmate I’m sorry” he said as he kissed the top of your head and went to meet up with the others you didn’t even have time to register what he just did before you were pulled behind someone you quickly noticed it was you best friend she stopped and turned towards you “Y/N L/N you have a lot of explaining to do”
I guess she saw that

Pairing: DarkAngel!BTS/ Female!Reader
Warnings: A curse word (is that a warning lol)
A/N: Yes this story is mine I am just reposting because my links weren’t working! Here is chapter 6 guys I hope you enjoy also don’t forget this has a taglist let me know if you want to be on it!
.
.
.
You didn’t know whether to shut the door in their face or let them in and beg for their forgiveness, you looked at their faces their vulnerability was obvious they looked torn and confused which surprised you, you were used to the strong BTS that all of the ARMYS love so to see them so broken honestly broke you too how could you tell them no.
“C-come in” you said as you opened the door wider for them to walk in, after you closed the door you went and sat on the couch them following behind you “We were supposed to leave today but we couldn’t bring ourselves to do it this might sound cheesy and all but we all already have feelings for you and we really want you to come back with us”
You didn’t think they knew what they were asking of you they expected you to leave your whole life here behind, you had friends and family here
your grandma was here. “Don’t take this the wrong way but you guys are selfish how could I leave my whole life behind just to follow you” Yoongi scuffled “What life are you talking about” at this point the anger was coursing through your veins “What the hell are you talking about, you don’t even know me” you said as you stood up Yoongi doing the same “We might not know you but you don’t know us either we were kicked out of our fucking kingdom for loving each other our own parents spit in our faces and told their own children to never come back and all were asking for you is to come to Korea with us to at least try and have a relationship with us but your so scared that you can’t even do that” he said as he walked out of the living room and the next you all heard was the door slamming.
You looked at the remaining guys who were still looking at the door you could tell that they want to go and comfort their soulmate “You can go” you said quietly as you stood up to go to your room “It’s okay we would like to stay” that made you stop in your tracks and turn around “But what about Yoongi” you asked actually concerned about him “He will be fine can you please sit so we can talk” Namjoon asked sweetly you nodded your head as you slowly made you way back over to them.
.
.
The tears slowly rolled down your face as the boys finished telling you about what happened to them back at their kingdom how could parents be so cruel to do that to their own flesh and blood “I’m sorry I didn’t know” they all shook their heads “It’s not your fault” Jimin said as he made his way over to you and grabbed you hand “Do you see why we all mean so much to each other and why we want you to come back with us we only have each other and you” Jimin said as he looked in your tired eyes hope gleaming in his “Yes I do, I will comeback with you” Jimin immediately pulled you into a hug and you could hear him repeatedly saying thank you
“I’m sorry” you jumped at the sudden apology and let go of Jimin, Yoongi was standing at the entrance of the living room “I blew up at you and you didn’t even know what I was talking about I just- I saw how hurt the boys were after you left and I was mad at you for hurting them all of those emotions from that day just came back so I am sorry” he said quietly
You got up and went over to him and gave him a hug you felt him stiffen before he wrapped his arms around your body “It’s not your fault Yoongi” you whispered to him before you pulled away
“Well I guess I need to go pack my bags” you said as you walked to your bedroom.
An hour later you heard a knock at your door “Can we come in” you turned around and saw Namjoon and Jin standing there “Of course” you said as you went back to what you were doing not paying them any attention “ Do you need help” Namjoon asked as he rocked on the heels of his feet, you could tell that he was nervous “Yes could you please give me the rest of the shirts out of my closet” he quickly started to do what he was told “Y/N can I ask you something”  Jin asked carefully you let out a hum “When are you going to tell your best friend that your moving and also about us” you dropped the pants that were in your hand
How the hell am I going to tell her?
“What time is the flight again”
.
.
You sat in the cafĂ© nervously waiting for your best friend, you didn’t know how she was going to take the news or the fact that you were not only fated to people but you also had a tattoo that suddenly appeared you were planning on keeping it a secret forever, the light jingle of the bells on the door were heard as she walked in this will go well right?
“Y/N!” she screamed as she ran up to and pulled you into a tight hug “I thought you had died I haven’t heard from you since BTS- oh my gosh BTS took you to their hotel how was it” you didn’t even understand half of that “Umm I-i can’t breathe” she immediately let you go and said a quick sorry as she sat down “I already ordered our drinks” she nodded her head as she smiled “So why did you want to meet not that I don’t want to see you I guess I have gotten so use to quiet introverted Y/N” before you could opened you mouth the waiter came over with your drinks you both said thank you before you went back to your conversation.
“I have something that I need to tell you but you have to promise me that you won’t tell anyone and you won’t freak out” you said as you looked at her with pleading eyes “Okay what is it” she asked but you just looked at her how could you tell your best friend since diapers that you were leaving her and moving across the country to a place you have never been to and on top of that you have soulmates oh and their BTS also you have a magical tattoo that binds you guys together “Y/N your starting to freak me out” you let out a breathe you didn’t even know you were holding here goes nothing

Midnight Roses 3 pt 3 (repost)
Tumblr media
Prev| Next
Pairing: DarkAngel!BTS/ FemaleHuman!Reader
Warnings:Mention of Homophobia, Angst
A/N: Yes this story is mine I am just reposting because my links weren’t working!  Hi loves this is the last part of Chapter 3 you guys will learn what Midnight Roses means to them. Also I do have a Taglist just let me know if you want to be on it!
.
.
.
Midnight Roses
They were said to only grow in their palace and to be the most beautiful at midnight, that was when you could see them glisten it was the most beautiful sight to see.
It was also the Kingdoms symbol the Midnight Rose had seven petals which signified unity among the seven palaces but no one could predict that seven people would destroy the unity and balance of the Kingdom.
.
.
.
Pain
That was the only thing that they felt as they saw Jimin walk in hand and hand with some girl Jungkook couldn’t stand the sight he felt like his heart was being ripped out and shred into pieces.
A few nights ago Jungkook came to Taehyungs door in tears Taehyung couldn’t really understand what he was trying to say so he brought him into his room and let him cry as he cuddled him, Jungkook eventually cried himself to sleep but when the birds woke him up the next morning the tears came again.
“Okay can you please stop for a few seconds so I can understand why you are crying” Taehyung said softly as he rocked himself and Jungkook
“J-j-Jimin is m-meeting his f-f-fiancĂ©â€ Jungkook said through tears the worlds alone tasted like venom is his mouth, Jimin was throwing away years, years of having to sneak around because of the rules and eyes of the people, years of love, years of them and many years that they could have with Taehyung he was throwing it all away for what...Jungkook had no idea he just knew that he hated Jimin right now.
But what they didn’t know was that Jimin was doing this to protect them.
.
.
A loud slap echoed through the cold kingdom walls “H-How dare you” his mother said with disgust in her voice “I gave you everything ANYTHING that you asked for you got and you go and do this to me, you turn into a I can’t even say it” she said as she looked away.
Jimin looked up from his spot on the floor “I-i love him, them” he said quietly, his mother looked at him with wide eyes “LOVE do you even know what love is, you don’t love him or them it is just sexual tension, are the girls here not good enough for you” Jimin had enough “MOTHER I love them you wouldn’t understand you were forced to marry dad and now you want me to do the same can you even call yourself a mom you-” another loud slapped echoed
“ENOUGH, bring these boys to me” she said to the guards “Mom no please I will do anything just please don’t hurt them they did nothing, nothing at all” he said as he attached himself to her leg pleading with her.
“Fine you will meet the woman that we picked out for you and you are to marry in two months now get out of my sight” she said as she kicked him off
He knew that he should be worried about this woman that he was to marry but all he could think about is..
How the hell would he break this to Jungkook?
.
.
The tension in the room was high anyone could feel it but nobody knew why “Can we leave” Namjoon asked no one in particular he just wanted to get out of this place he didn’t feel too well, the same feeling he got when he met his soulmates was being felt again but this time around it was worse.
“Joonie” Jin said in a disappointed tone “No we can’t leave that is rude” he said as he looked around to make sure nobody was watching then he sneakily put his hand in Namjoon’s with a small smile as he looked at his other soulmates and saw that they looked uncomfortable also “Fine after this dance we can leave”
.
.
“Jungkook" Taehyung whispered yelled as Jungkook ran, he quickly followed behind him but accidentally bumped into someone a ting shot through him as he upon contact he looked at the man with curiosity, he knew he had bigger issues so he gave a quick sorry and ran to find Jungkook unaware of the eyes that were now on him following his every move.
“Jungkook where are you, I know you are hurt right now I am too I know that you have loved Jimin as long as you have but he is also my soulmate and as much as you might hate it we need each other right now just please let me help you” Taehyung said in the silence he heard soft sniffles he followed them and saw Jungkook in the garden in front of the roses he carefully ran to him and pulled Jungkook to him, he began to slowly rock them since it seemed to calm him the other day as they were rocking he whispered sweet little nothings in his ears.
The sweet moment didn’t last long before they heard scuffles of feet in the garden with them Taehyung turned around and was met with four guys looking at them, he recognized one of them as the guy he had run into.
“Sorry we didn’t mean to interrupt you guys” one of them said shyly “It’s okay this is a public area you are allowed in here” Taehyung said light heartedly as he continued to rock him and Jungkook.
The guys made their way towards them and sat down not too far away but they gave Taehyung and Jungkook their space they could tell something was wrong and they didn’t want to make something worse.
They sat in silence for a while before one of the guys spoke again “Have you ever heard of soulmates”
.
.
Jimin couldn’t do it anymore he saw how much it had hurt Jungkook in fact he felt it, he felt the anger, betrayal, and sadness he can’t believe that he hurt Jungkook so badly he still remembers how they met each other.
Jungkook was so young and was so confused about his feelings towards his older brother’s best friend, the confusion didn’t last long because Jimin was confident he always had a thing for breaking the rules so he marched right up to Jungkook and asked him out.
3 years Jimin thought
He was throwing away three years of their love because he was scared, because he not only wanted to save Jungkook but also Taehyung
Taehyung
His cute little angel that he had come to love, it wasn’t fair that he had to throw them away because someone told him to he knew that he loved them and nobody was going to tell him otherwise, he would be with them or...
He would die trying.
.
.
The soft calling of their name broke them out of the conversation with the four men who had told them that they were soulmates, it was hard to believe of course but they all felt the connection but Jungkook and Taehyung knew that there was something missing, someone who they loved dearly was missing.
“Jimin” Jungkook said as he slowly got off of Taehyungs’ lap “Jungkook I-, there is nothing that I could say that would make you hate me less right now but I am so sorry I didn’t want to hurt you or Taehyung as bad as I did but they were going to take you away from me they were going to pull us apart I figured that maybe if I married this girl them I would find a way to be with both of you I didn’t realize I was hurting you this much and for that I am so so sorry” Jimin said as tears rolled down his cheek
“As much as I want to hate you I can’t I love you more than anything in the world I didn’t know why you did what you did but you had pure intentions I can’t hate you for that” Jungkook said as he pulled Jimin towards him.
A light cough was heard and that pulled them out of their little moment “Oh also this is Hoseok, Jin, Yoongi, and Namjoon they are also our soulmates” Jungkook said like it was just the most normal thing Jimin pulled away from Jungkook as he looked at the men “Soulmates?” they all nodded
.
.
Red was all she saw.
The queen was furious to say the least how dare he just run out of his own ball
“Find Jimin and those boys and bring them to the dungeon NOW”
She swore that when she found them she would make them wish they had never laid eyes on each other.
.
.
“How is it possible that were are all fated together, I thought that the last of the soulmates had been wiped out a long time ago” Jimin said as he snuggled more into Jungkook.
“Honestly we don’t know I am sure we could figure it out but right now I feel like we should get out of here” Namjoon said, the three youngest looked at him with confusion in their eye as the other boys got up “Listen we can’t really explain but when Namjoon gets a feeling we don’t question him we just do what he says.
That is what lead them to running into the woods and away from the guards that were hot on their tail Jimin knew that it was his mother’s doing and he didn’t want to get caught to find out what she had in store for them his mom was an evil woman he knew that if they got caught the chance of them dying was possible.
“This way” Jin said as they all followed behind him before long they were at a clearing that all but three of them recognized “Are we safe here” Jungkook asked with concern in his voice
“I don’t think we are safe anywhere” Hoseok said as they all sat down trying to catch there breathe “I’m sorry” Jimin said “This is all my fault if you guys left I wouldn’t be mad or anything”
“We are soulmates we are in this together whether we just met each other or we have been together for years either way we will not leave you” Yoongi said as he got up and sat next to him pulling him into a hug
“Wow he likes you he doesn’t even hug us” Jin sad with a pout which made them all laugh.
They all knew that they would get caught eventually so when the guards found them they didn’t even try to run it was no use.
“You are all under arrest at the queens order you will all be brought to the dungeon where the Queens and Kings of every palace will decide your fate.
.
.
The disgusted stares of their parent’s bore into them as they held their head up they had no reason to be ashamed love is love.
“I can’t believe that you would do this to us after everything- you are all supposed to be the next leaders and you go out and do something like this, I don’t know where we went wrong” Yoongi’s mom said
“You know what can you all stop acting like this ever since we were young it has always been the same thing be an example, follow the rules set in place, get married to the person that we choose for you and you know what I am freaking tried of you these people that you are supposed to love are your slaves made to follow your rules and if they don’t they die how can you call yourselves leaders when you don’t lead I for one am not going to be a part of this never ending cycle” Yoongi said with spite
“You are no longer our sons” Jungkook dad said as he looked away from his son
“This isn’t fair, I have given my blood, sweat and tears for you and I get repaid in this way you were to be the next Ruler Jin how can you do this to me, to your siblings” his mom said as tears rolled down her face “Don’t you dare bring them into this” Jin said
“Mom please say something anything” Taehyung pleaded as he fell to the ground “I love you and you will always be my son baby I told you not to be what others said you were, I told you to be yourself and you did and for that I am so proud of you if I had it my way you could love whoever you want but it isn’t always remember...Love always wins” his mom said the loud sobs of Taehyung could be heard his soulmates could all feel his pain they would do anything to go to him and tell him that it would be okay, but they all knew that it wouldn’t and these stupid chains on them weren’t allowing them to go anywhere.
“Jimin I thought that you would actually listen to me for once but you didn’t I want you to know that this is your fault” his mom said “No it isn’t you stupid excuse of an angel you know what we don’t expect you to know what were are going through you all followed the rules but don’t you dare put the blame on Jimin none of us are in the wrong you are!” Hoseok who had been quiet up until now said he was so angry Jimin was so pure he didn’t deserve this he already felt like it was he fault.
“Because of your actions you are here by banished from the seven Kingdoms never to return again” Jimin’s dad said as he waved them off
“We can’t help it how the hell are we supposed to choose who we love” Yoongi screamed at them a light chuckle could be heard
 “I don’t care this
this disgusting behavior is unacceptable leave and never come back”
.
.
They had to leave they weren’t accepted here in the land were Midnight Roses bloomed so beautifully, their rose had been stepped on and crushed but just because they were told that it was wrong to love each other didn’t mean that they would, love was a powerful thing, they would stay together, they would figure out why the Goddess of love had chosen them, and nobody would stop them.
“Now what do humans do here”

Warnings: Slight Language, Angst
A/N: Yes this story is mine I am just reposting because my links weren’t working! Loves!!!! This is my 100th post I am so grateful for everyone who has supported my blog and my stories I love you all!
.
.
.
You could hear their heavy footsteps as they followed you out the door “Y/N where are you going” you stopped in your tracks when you heard the voice of Namjoon, you turned to your side and saw him but he was with Jin, Yoongi and Hoseok it was their footsteps that you heard you realized when you didn’t see Jimin and Jungkook in sight.
“I-i-I was going to my apartment t-to check on F/N” they looked at you and then your neck you could see Namjoon slightly raise his eyebrows, you really need to cover that thing “I should be going” you said as you turned to leave “We can drive you if you would like” Jin said with the sweetest smile on his face “All of you” you asked confused as to why all of them would need to drive you to your apartment “No I mean I could drive you the other three need to get to the company” you could see the realization dawn on Namjoon’s face as he kissed Jin’s cheek and walked up to you “Can you come by later tonight” he asked with pleading eyes “I don’t think that, that would be a good idea” you said remembering what happened last night “Please it isn’t good for us to be apart for long” he said honestly, you huffed and nodded your head “Okay, I will come by later” he smiled and kissed the top of your head “Bye see you later” he said as he walked away Hobi and Yoongi followed and did the same action as Namjoon.
“You ready”
.
.
Jin pulled up to gates you could see the apartment buildings behind them “How much was this” you asked in awe Jin laughed “That is for us to know and you to never find out” you frowned at the statement but didn’t say anything, after he had pulled through the gate the security guard closed it you had never seen apartments this beautiful “F/N must be loving this” you said with a smile on your face.
“This is it” Jin said as he pulled in front of a set of buildings “I would walk up with you but I can’t risk it” he said sadly “It’s okay Jin” you said as you touched his hand he smiled at the action “You’re on the fifth floor and your apartment number is 36” he said as he handed you a set of keys “Thank you I will see you later” before you could get out of the car he grabbed you hand and slowly leaned in and gave you a small kiss it wasn’t anything major but it was enough to make you feel dizzy “See you later” he said as he let your hand go.
You walked out of the elevator still in a daze from the kiss why were you allowing yourself to fall this fast you don’t know but you do know that you are starting to have feeling for them which scared you but every time they touched or kissed you it made you feel like you belonged with them and that terrified you.
As soon as you opened the door you were tackled to the ground “Oh my goodness Y/N I was scared something happened to you, it isn’t like you to just text me that you will be back in the morning without explaining to me were you are I thought someone had kidnapped you or worse-” you stopped her before she could go further “I’m fine so can you please get off of me” she let out an oh and got off of you “Now where the hell were you” you cursed whoever texted her for not lying to her or letting her know where you were but leaving out important details because you didn’t want to explain to her everything but now you would have to explain everything and you weren’t ready for that “I was with BTS”
.
.
She kept on pacing it was starting to give you a headache you hadn’t even told her everything just that you were with them and she was freaking out “F/N sit down please your giving me a headache” you said as you rubbed your temples she stopped and gave you a pointed look “Don’t you dare tell me to sit down Y/N you have been keeping secrets from me I knew you something was off but this this is a lot to take in you were with BTS and you don’t even like KPOP” you huffed as you rolled your eyes this was too much for her how the hell did she think you felt “F/N sit the freak down so I can explain everything” she stopped pacing for a second and looked at you before she sat down “So this is a lot since this has been going on for about four years now” she looked at you with wide eyes but didn’t say anything “So it all started on my eighteenth birthday I woke up a bit dejected but still went on about my day it wasn’t until hours later when something happened” you lifted up your shirt to expose your tattoo.
“This suddenly appeared and I know you might be thinking that I got this at a tattoo parlor or something but you know that I am not the type of person who gets tattoos so I tried my hardest to find out how it happened but I didn’t find anything until you took me to the concert and I saw BTS the tattoo had been aching the whole concert but when I walked up to them I was suddenly in excruciating pain” she looked away from you and stood up but she was still quite “ When I woke up they told me about the meaning of tattoo and how
they are my soulmates and their not human” you looked down after that you could feel her start to pace again “What the fuck do you mean they aren’t human” well she wasn’t happy about this “They are dark angels” she stopped pacing and looked at you like you were crazy “Y/N are you okay or do I need to take you to the hospital” you stood up and looked at her “You don’t believe me” she huffed and then laughed “Of course I don’t believe you if you didn’t want to tell me why you have been off then that is okay I figured it would have something to do with your Grandma and your eighteenth birthday but you know how I feel about BTS so to use them as your lie that’s a bit much Y/N” she said as she sat back down and looked away from you.
“Wow I tell you what is actually happening to me and you don’t even believe me this is exactly why I didn’t want to tell you” you said as you started to walk away “You don’t get to walk away from this conversation Y/N” she said as she followed you “How do you think we are in this apartment why do you think they took me to their hotel after I passed how and why the hell do you think I came to Korea with them and sat next to Jimin on the plane please F/N explain that to me” she didn’t say anything “Exactly you can’t for as long as we have been friends you think that I would just lie to you over something like this I am terrified F/N so freaking scared I need my best friend more than ever” you said as you went to hold her hand but she pulled away with a look of disgust “I can’t do this Y/N” she said as she started to walk away “What do you mean you can’t do this” she turned towards you with fear in her eyes “You just told me that BTS are dark angels the group that basically saved my life are monster and you’re their soulmate whatever that might mean but I do know that I don’t really want to be a part of it” you were livid “Don’t you fucking dare call them monsters they are the most softest people that I have ever met, they were willing to stay in America for me because I couldn’t except the fact that my soul was bounded to them for life they are far from monsters and the fact that you think something is wrong with me because of that goes to show how much of a fucking friend you are” you said to her and she snickered “Some friend I am you kept this from me for four fucking years Y/N”
“Because I knew that you would react like this and I honestly didn’t want to lose my best friend” she put her head down “Well I guess that it was bound to happen at some point right people don’t stay friends forever” she said sadly you shook your head “I can’t believe you” you said as you walked to the living room tears rolling down your face it wasn’t long after that when she came to the living room with her luggage “Where are you going” she didn’t say anything “I’m sorry” you said you didn’t really know what you were apologizing for but you didn’t want to lose your best friend “Bye Y/N” she said as she walked to the door “F/N wait” but she closed the door you didn’t go after her you just sat there and cried the look of disgust on her face when you tried to touch her hurt you more than anything.
.
.
Your ringtone woke you out of your sleep it was dark in the living room you realized that it had to be night time you immediately grabbed your phone without looking at the caller id you just hoped it was your best friend “Y/N are you not coming over: you heard Taehyungs voice disappointed you didn’t say anything “Y/N are you there” the reality of everything came crashing down on you, you just lost your best friend, your womb bestie as you liked to call her since your mom’s where pregnant at the same time but she came before you and she would always use that as her advantage so how could she just walk out like that you then realized that she probably didn’t have anywhere to go she had never been to Korea before at that thought you hung up the phone and ran out the door you had to find her.
Three hours
You had been looking for her for three hours and you still haven’t found her you knew she was a stress eater so you went to all the nearest Restaurants and pubs with a picture of her asking if she had been in the restaurant and nobody had seen her at this point you were scared anything could happen to her.
As you walked down the streets you heard someone call your name “Y/N oh my gosh we thought something happened to you” Jungkook pulled you into a hug “Why did you suddenly hang up on Tae” had he called you, you were so worried about F/N that you had forgotten about Taehyung “I-I she’s gone” you said as you broke out into tears “Who’s gone Y/N” Jimin said as he pulled you into him “F/N I told her everything like Namjoon told me to do and she left if you had j-just seen the way she looked at me i-I have never been looked at like that by someone so close to me i-I it h-hurts Jimin it hurts” you said as you cried harder “Okay baby Hobi, Yoongi and Joonie will take you back to our apartment and we will go look for her” Jin said as he pulled you out of Jimin’s arms and wiped the tears from your face you nodded your head and slowly walked away from him and into Hobi’s awaiting arms “Let’s get you home yeah” he said as he walked you to their car.
“They’ll find her baby they’ll find her”

If you want to be on the taglist let me know! Enjoy!
.
.
.
Your blood froze in your veins along with it your body honestly you didn’t know if one of the boys had immobilized your body at the moment it didn’t matter. All you could think about was how you were probably about to die.
“I-I was just on m-my way back to my home” you said nervously.
One of the boys chuckled from behind you but they didn’t say anything you didn’t know what that meant but for all you knew they could be planning the perfect way to drain your body of blood. You felt a gush of wind and one of them were in front of you, you had seen their faces before so you knew that it was Park Jimin the oldest of the younger three.
“Well little human why should we let you go I mean you just watched us murder someone on a day that we created were vampires aren’t allowed to kill humans so who’s to say that you won’t go and tell everyone that their kings just broke a rule” he said with smirk on his face
You quickly shook your head “No no I would never I understand that you need to eat so please let me go I won’t tell a single soul just please please let me go” the smirk left his face for a second before he started to laugh.
“What do you do for a living little human” he asked as he went to go lean against a wall.
“I clean homes for vampire’s sir” he nodded his head and looked at his lovers behind him it looked like they were talking you had heard about Vampires having telepathy but at this point you didn’t give a shit if they were talking or not you just wanted to go home and forget about this whole encounter.
The other two boys walked out from behind you and into your line of sight, their blood red eyes pierced into your soul and at that moment you actually feared for your life all of your past regrets came bubbling to the surface and you couldn’t help the tears that threatened to fall from your eyes.
Their eyebrows perked up in amusement “Why are you crying little human” Jeon Jungkook asked unimpressed
“I-I don’t want to die your majesty” Kim Taehyung chuckled “Who said we were going to kill you” your eyes widened in shock they weren’t going to kill you?! Than what were they going to do with you?
“You’re going to work for us little human” Park Jimin said as if he had read your mind he started to walk closer to you and his lovers “We have been short on staff because most of them are old and weak and are dying so we are going to spare your life and in return you will live and work at the castle full time for the rest of your life”.
You nodded your head in agreement “Thank you so much your majesties” you quickly bowed of course you didn’t want to do this who would want to work at a castle full of vampire for the rest of their life you were young and you had plans for your life but it was better than them killing you. “You start tomorrow one of our servants will come and pick you up in the morning, be ready” Jungkook said (the reason I kept on putting their last names with their first is because it is seen as a sign of respect in the story but it looks so weird to me lol).
You heard their steps as they walked past you when their steps grew further away you finally let out the breath that you had been holding you stood up and started running towards your home you had so much to do in such a short amount of time and the last thing you want to do was make the King’s angry you have heard about people making them irritated but none ever lived to tell about it.
“It’s going to be a long night” You said to yourself

Midnight Roses 13 (repost)

Pairing: DarkAngel!BTS/ Female!Reader
Warnings: One curse word and slight mention of death
A/N: Yes this story is mine I am just reposting because my links weren’t working!
.
.
.
The look in your soulmates eyes even scared you there was no way that F/N wasn’t about to pass out from fear right now, you could hear her heavy sobs and some part of you still felt bad for her yet a major part of you was glad that she was crying she got you and your soulmates thrown into this prison she honestly deserved worse.
“Why are you here” you asked her sternly at first she didn’t say anything she just stared at you while tears ran down her face you tried so hard to not break under her gaze but you were failing thankfully your soulmates realized just in time. “She asked you why are you here” Yoongi said coldly “I-I don’t know they came to the apartment and took me with them and now I’m here” She said as she stood up and tried to walk towards you but Jungkook stopped her “Stay over there” she looked at him and then you but she still walked back to where she was.
Jungkook turned to you “Are you okay” he asked quietly and put his hand on your cheek you slightly nodded your head and smiled up at him the others came and stood closer to you “This isn’t good guys” Hobi said silently so that F/N couldn’t hear “What do you mean” you asked confused there was a lot of things that weren’t good right now but Hobi looked really concerned “If they are bringing everyone who knows what we are to our Kingdom and throwing them in a cell
. let’s just say I don’t think this is going to end well”
.
.
You pushed Jungkook away and walked away from them “Y/N?” Jin said as he tried to reach for your hand but you quickly jerked it back “Don’t say that okay you don’t know how this is going to end!” you all but screamed at them even the thought of losing them terrified you it didn’t help that they all thought that something bad was going to happen. “It’s okay Y/N we don’t know anything we could be were the cycle stops nobody else has to die” Taehyung said trying to comfort you but it wasn’t working.
“No it’s not true Taehyung I-i-I saw it I saw you and my grandmother you know the one that is dead I saw our soulmate mark on fire i-I felt like my soul was being ripped apart so don’t make promises to me that you can’t keep!” you screamed the tears heavily flowing from your eyes, they didn’t say anything but you could tell that they were still trying to process what you just said.
You all didn’t talk for the rest of the night you knew they wanted to but they just didn’t know what to say, it was hard but you eventually closed your eyes to get sleep as you were dozing off you felt someone put their arm around you it was Namjoon you figured he wanted to at least comfort you this way since he didn’t have the words.
“Goodnight love” was the last thing you heard before you drifted off
.
.
Did the universe hate you or was it just the person who decided to bind your soul to seven dark angles you thought that you would be used to seeing the same dream over again but it doesn’t get easier knowing that more than likely you will lose the people that basically saved you.
You gasped as you sat up only to be met with the dark walls of the prison cell you quickly looked around to make sure that you hadn’t woken anyone up and you hadn’t so you went over to the small makeshift window that was in the cell to look outside.
To say that you were shocked was an understatement you knew that you hadn’t been asleep for that long yet it was already morning “Time moves differently here” you tensed at the voice but soon relaxed when you realized it was just Namjoon “Did I wake you” you asked sweetly as you looked at him, he was still staring outside he didn’t say anything for a second but you watched as he took a deep breath and looked at you with tears in his eyes “I saw your dream” you were a bit taken aback at the news but managed to collect yourself “It is one of my abilities it doesn’t happen that often but I saw and felt what you were talking about and I’m so sorry” the tears that he was holding back finally came running down his face you quickly pulled him closer
“It’s okay Joonie you have no reason to be sorry sometimes we don’t have control over things that happen to us and that’s okay all that matters is that you are here now okay” he slightly nodded his head and looked at you his eyes slowly traveled down to your lips and you got the hint so you gently put your hand on his cheek and pulled him to you the feeling of his lips on yours made you completely forget about the dream and the what if’s the only thing that filled your mind was him and you have never felt better

The slight clicking of heels on the ground could be heard as you all sat in your cell waiting to be taken to the boy’s parents, the guard opened the gate and put handcuffs on all of you before walking you all out of the cell “It’s going to be okay” you heard F/N say you quickly turned to her “Can you please shut up even the sound of your voice makes me want to hurt you” you saw pain flash on her face before she put her head down and didn’t say another word.
It seemed like you had been walking for a long time before you made it to this dungeon like area as soon as you all stood in the middle fourteen people entered you figured it was their parents by the anger that was coming off of them in waves “Did you not learn the first time” some older lady said as she looked at the seven boys standing beside you “and you did your brain just decide to leave your body why would you doing something as stupid as telling Y/N about our plan I thought you would be better than that but I was wrong” you knew that you shouldn’t agree with her but what she said about F/N was so true.
“There is a reason why we don’t have soulmates anymore and even though your our children we have no choice but to do this” you watched as Taehyung’s knees hit the ground “Mom please whatever your thinking of doing please don’t or please just leave Y/N out of this she is just a human she didn’t do anything wrong” you saw the woman’s façade drop for a second before she got up and walked out of the room the lady who spoke first snickered and looked down at Taehyung “Your mother was always weak and you are just as weak as her” Jimin tried to lung at her but was dragged back by a guard “Don’t you fucking dare” Jimin hissed at her but she just rolled her.
Nobody said anything as Taehyung sat on the ground and cried none of you were able to go to him at this point you were sure that they were doing this to torture you all “Well this has been entertaining but you are here to be sentenced so I will let your dad have the honors Jimin” you looked over at Jimin and the look that he was giving her honestly terrified you but you looked away from him and back at his parent’s his dad looked at his mom confliction in his eyes but he still looked at you all and tried to say as coldly a possible the words that broke you and all but confirmed your dream

“You will all be executed tomorrow night in front of everyone in the kingdom”

Pairing: DarkAngel!BTS/ Female!Reader
Warning: mild panic attack
A/N: Yes this story is mine I am just reposting because my links weren’t working!  Hi loves we are nearing the end of Midnight roses only a few chapters left what do you think is going to happen?!
.
.
.
You gasped as you woke up from the nightmare you glanced around at your unfamiliar surroundings and were met with seven familiar eyes staring at you “Guys” you whispered unable to comprehend that they were right in front of you “Y-y/n” you looked at Jungkook as he slowly walked to you and touched your face the way that he stared at you made tears slowly run down your cheek as you looked at his face you saw that it was the same as Yoongi’s they were all beaten up badly at the thought of Yoongi you quickly looked around for him and saw him sitting in a corner you also got to see that you were all in what looked like a jail cell.
“Yoongi” you said not too loudly but he wouldn’t look at you confused you carefully took Jungkook’s hand off of your face and walked to him “Yoongi” you said again and this time he turned away from you the light bobbing of his shoulders indicated that he was crying so you wrapped your arms around him and put your head on his shoulder “Talk to me love” you whispered in his ear.
“I-I’m sorry i-if I had j-just fought a bit h-harder then y-you wouldn’t be h-here” He said finally allowing himself to fully cry it broke your heart to hear him crying like this Yoongi was always the strong one he had a cold façade and he acted like he didn’t care but anyone who knew him knew that he was the biggest baby but that doesn’t change the fact that he sounded broken?!
“It’s not your fault love you were passed out I knew that if you actually had a choice then I wouldn’t be here but I want to be here whatever here is I want to be with you all” you said as you stood up and pulled Yoongi up with you when he turned around you gently wiped the tears away from his cheek “So please don’t hate yourselves” they all nodded their heads and then hugged you it was nice being able to feel them this close again.
As you all sat together on the cold hard floor of the cell one question ran through you mind but you didn’t know how to ask you could feel that they were still shaken up about something so you didn’t want to say the wrong thing and have them freak out or worse have a mental breakdown. “Where are we” you asked curiously “We are in a cell in a palace this is where Jimin used to live” Taehyung said as he pulled you into his side “Why are we in a cell” they all looked at each other and then you confliction in their eyes.
“Well there is something that we didn’t mention after we told you about you being our soulmate and us being dark angels, and also getting kicked out of our home” confused you sat up and looked at Hoseok “What didn’t you tell me” you said honestly scared to hear their answer “The last people that actually had soulmates and marks were killed off thousands of years ago”
.
.
You stared at them not really understanding why that was such a big deal “Okay” you asked as more of a question than a response “Right now you might not understand why it is such a big deal but you will after you learn why and how they died” Jin said as he stood up the rest of the boys following “I am guessing they died of old age or something” most of them chuckled and shook their heads “The last of the soulmates were actually a group of four that might not sound so bad but what most people don’t know was that they were all female when the kingdom found out they sent a bounty out on them us being dark angels we have powers but it is said the more that you use them the darker you become so it isn’t taught in school anymore” Namjoon stopped for a second before he continued
“Some of us are born with powers naturally but they don’t basically darken our souls like me I have something sort of like dreams and feelings when something big or terrible is going to happen it is said that when you have more than two soulmates if they were to use their powers together they could kill millions so the day that the soulmates were caught it started a war you had one side that was okay with them being together because they trusted them, and another that wanted to see them burn the sad thing about the whole story is that so many innocent people lost their lives for no reason when they finally got caught
they were murdered and you never heard of soulmates again” after Namjoon finished you felt your blood start to boil.
.
.
“So they were murdered because of the fact that they loved the same sex and because people were scared of something that might now have happened” you asked angry and confused but Namjoon shook his head “Soulmates were made by the goddess herself nobody knows why she made soulmates but we do know that all of them were killed” at that your stomach dropped to your feet your nightmare suddenly coming back to your mind did that mean you saw the future did that mean that they were going to die.
You slowly started to lose your breathe how could you lose them you just got them how could someone take them away from you, you sat down and tried to get air back into your lungs but were failing miserably Jungkook immediately ran to you and tried to calm you down “It’s okay Y/N we can’t predict the future it will be different for us I promise” you couldn’t bring yourself to tell them about your dream and how it wasn’t your first time having it.
After your break down Jungkook just held you and slowly rocked you back and forth it was working until someone came to the cell door but they weren’t alone someone was standing next to them but their hair was in their face so you couldn’t tell who it was. For some reason they looked familiar “In the morning you will all be questioned and charged in front of the King and Queens” after that they threw the other person on the floor and you were able to find out who it was you.
F/N? Why is she here?!
