Ooh will you pls walk us through your perfume/body wash/lotion collection?
fun fact i actually use gentle/unscented body products so all of my body wash/soaps/lotions/etc are not (or are negligibly) fragranced! my derm put the fear of god into me abt how it can irritate your skin, and since switching years ago i just haven't gone back! i like that it makes whatever fragrance i'm wearing smell cleaner and less muddied too. (my shampoo/conditioner/other hair product is fragranced so that still has a scent, so does my deodorant, and my laundry detergent. w that many scents happening on a regular basis i feel like there's rly no need for scented body cleansers imho.)

As a follow up to my packing light post, I wanted to share my travel make up kit must haves. Just like my clothing, I have certain must haves for make up. I do have a minimal make up looks, more of a natural glow rather than full on make up face that I don’t care for. Trips should be easy, breezy and light, so should your luggage and everything else in in or elso you will just be carting a heavy suitcase, which is not really fun especially when travelling alone. So my rule is if i cannot lift my suitcase up to the carry on compartment, its too heavy.
I came across this toiletry case at Tumi recently, it was small enough no to take enough space in your luggage but had enough space for all your travel size cosmetics, brushes, as well as toiletries. Interesting fact, Tumi now added a tracker number to these smaller accessories so if it does get lost and someone reports it missing, if you registered this on Tumi.com, they can figure out who owns it.
Tumblr media
First thing that is important, and a must have, especially when travelling is sunscreen. This facial sunscreen that I use on a daily basis is Sublime Defense SPF 50, by Algenist. Its a fluid base formula that is not sticky, does not feel heavy and oily on your skin. I have oily skin, and finding a good sunscreen that is light is important as well as the SPF that it has.
Another must have is primers, I have two travel size primers that I carry with me all the time, and you can buy these at the check out counter at Sephora, as well as online at Sephora.com.  Not every one use primers but let me tell you, I am a firm follower of a good primer, not only does it give a good base for your make up, it gives your make up that ompf that it needs to make your face look flawless. My favorite face primer is the Mineral Veil from Hourglass cosmetics. Again a lightweight non sticky formula that really supports your foundation. For my eyes, I’ve been using this Urban Decay Eye Primer for the longest time.
For my foundation, this is something I just came across a year ago and I haven’t changed since. Its called Power Fabric long wear high cover foundation from Giorgio Armani, also with a broad spectrum SPF 25 sunscreen. The reason why I love this product is because of the flawless effect it has on your skin with only a little product applied. I use my fingers most of the time to apply it, but it also looks great when applied with a blender sponge. Again because I have oily skin, I love that this product is light on my skin, and coverage is awesome. You can buy this at Sephora, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, or Bloomingdales.
Foe the rest of my face, I prefer to have a face palette that I can carry really easily that has everything and I had a hard time finding the perfect one until I came across this. Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Look in a Palette, I believe these are limited edition, I hope they are not! I love them, this one that I use on a regular basis is my definite favorite. There are 3 eyeshadows that can take you from a day to night look, a contour and highlight, blush and bronzer. Forgive me for the poor photos, but as you can see it is my favorite and I have been consistently using them. I’ve bought them for my mom and my aunt as well. They are numbered and labeled so you know where to apply them. This palette is a mainstay in my my bag.
The next few must have items are  my eyebrow powder and my finishing powder. It is very important for me to have nice, thick, and neat eyebrows, I believe it defines your face and the thicker, the younger you look. Unfortunately my eyebrows don’t grow equally well, so I do need the eyebrow powder to even it out. My favorite is the Anastasia Beverly Hills in dark brown, I use an angled brush to apply it and the concealer to complete the look. As for the finishing powder, I love Laura Mercier loose powder, it sets my make up perfectly, take out the shine too.  My favorite mascara to use on a night out is Diorshow waterproof mascara. Adds a great volume and stays on well. And another very important item which I believe all women must have it a make up setting spray. Also a must have is eyeliner. My favorite one to have I MAC Fluid line gel liner. I’ve tried others, but this has worked best for me. My ultimate favorite is the Urban Decay All nighter setting spray, true to its name it is perfect for an all nighter! I have been dunked in a pool, sweat all over the Philippine heat, and walked in the European sun with this, my make up stayed as great as it did when I put it on.
And lastly my go to lipsticks, I have two: for day and for night. My Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick is my go to day lip color. It’s light, natural and clean. My night color, my ultimate favorite shade of red, is Chanel ‘s Rouge Allure 99 Pirate. Again I apologize at how they look, they are my best used lipsticks.
You are never fully dresssed without a dependable cologne, and you must always have a signature scent. Body chemistry also plays into that. This has been my signature scent for a while and it has suited me quite well. Jo Malone comes in smaller bottles for travel size. I keep mine in my purse incase I might need it.
There you have it, this is my go to travel mak up kit. I never leave without them.  Not all of these colors may be your type but I do recommend to check Charlotte Tilbury for new face palettes, or maybe smashbox at Sephora. But if you cannot find anything else, MAC has a customizable palette that you can get that you can fit in your make up bag. Remember that you dont need to bring a big bag of make up, unless if you are a professional make up artist, just bring essentials. Pack light everyone!
My Travel Make Up Kit As a follow up to my packing light post, I wanted to share my travel make up kit must haves.

2017 RANDOM FAVOURITES
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s a random list of the things I’ve absolutely loved this year.
1.  Jo Malone’s English Pear & Freesia Cologne
Tumblr media
I received this as a gift about a month ago and I am OBSESSED. This has quickly inched up to my favourite item of 2017.
Jo Malone’s website describes the scent as “The essence of autumn. The sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears is wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias, and mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods. Luscious and golden”
It smells like a dream to me. Its a combination of fresh, fruity and floral ( essentially everything I look for in perfumes/colognes) wrapped into one.
Besides the amazingness of the actual product, I was very pleased with the service. The sales assistant was absolutely lovely.
If you’re in need of a new cologne I’d highly highly recommend Jo Malone’s colognes.
2. Pilot’s Mechanical Pencil + Pens
Tumblr media
Daily essentials for me in school. I’m very fussy when it comes to stationery and these were right up my street.
Pilot is one of my all-time favourite stationery brands because of its many product options. Their mechanical pencils are amazing ( very easy and comfortable to use), their super grip pens are smooth and they last a reasonable amount of time  too; and their poplol coloured pens are wonderful to use.
If you’re in need of some stationeries, try out Pilot! I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like.
3.  Moleskine Notebook
Tumblr media
This was also a gift. I write my diary entries/thoughts here. I think this is one of my favourites because it really helps me de-stress from everything.
It’s comfortable to write in ‘cause I don’t know if its just me, but I somehow find certain notebooks uncomfortable to write in.
This particular notebook has a large writing space, so you really can’t go wrong with it. It has acid free paper too! So your thoughts and words can be preserved forevermore.
Baseline is, I absolute enjoyed writing in this notebook.
4. Marks and Spencer’s Pyjamas
Tumblr media
< photo taken from Mark’s & Spencer’s Website >
These pyjamas feel like I’m constantly being cocooned with blankets. Unfortunately I couldn’t take any pictures of my jammies because they were unavailable so I resulted to finding pictures of the pyjamas that looked similar to the ones I have.
These pyjamas are the top ranks in my Jammies Department because of how soft and comfy they are, seriously. And guess what? The pyjama bottoms have pockets, they couldn't get better honestly.
Although they’re a little on the pricey side, I think these pyjamas deserve a try.
5. Nylon Shorts
Tumblr media
I literally sigh in relief when I come home and change into these. They’re absolutely amazing. I think my mom gave me these and I just... fell in love.
They’re comfortable and cool on the skin.
I can’t tell you enough how many times I look forward to wearing these. Heck, I’m even wearing nylon shorts right now.
6. Comfortable Pants
Tumblr media
I’m unsure of the official name of these pants so I’ll just call them Comfy Pants. I’ve basically lived in these. They’re comfortable, fun and they’re fuss free.
These pants are perfect for chill-out days. Whether you’re lounging around the house, grocery shopping or you just want to be comfy.
There are so many patterns and colours to choose from as well. Join the Comfy Pants Club!
7. Nike Free Run RN Flyknit
Tumblr media
I got these for myself a few months back. I decided to get these because I wanted to start exercising so I figured these would be a good start.
They’re equipped for running and rightfully so. They’re very comfortable to walk and run in, its unbelievable. I think they’re the most comfortable pair of shoes I currently own.
I think these are a great pair of shoes to have because its kind of universal. You could use these for exercising but also for going out, same same but different and just right.
8. Chocolate Chip Cookies
Tumblr media
Choc chip cookies have been my snack saviour for late night studying. They’re gooey and yummy and just perfect.
They’re about as big as a palm so you can space out the amount of cookies without feeling.. cookie-less because of the size.
Paired with a glass of cold milk? Simply scrumptious.  I think I’m gonna get some for myself now.
9. Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate Sachets
Tumblr media
I discovered this from my brother, who at that time was obsessed with the sachets. Trusting his judgement, I decided to try one myself and I absolutely loved  it ( still do ).
Almost every night, you’d find me clasping my hands around a mug with hot coco doing my school work. I was absolutely hooked with this after my obsession with tea dwindled.
Its straightforward and easy to work with, you just open the sachet and spill the contents into a mug, pour some hot water then stir and ta-da! I usually add a splash of milk in mine for extra creaminess.
If you’re travelling or you just want to drink something that’s easy to work with, this is definitely up your alley.
10. Mugs
Tumblr media
I have an unhealthy obsession with mugs. It all started when I got obsessed with tea. Fortunately for me, my local supermarket sold a variety of mugs... and I basically got carried away.
The top right mug is the most recent, gifted to me, its for juice and cold liquids. The one beside it was my first mug purchase and is commonly used for hot chocolate. The one below was a “ why the heck not” purchase from Universal Studios Singapore ( for milk)  and on its left was a “ I need this’ purchase used for tea.
See? I’m a mug freak
Jokes aside though, I absolute love mugs. Maybe too much.
11. Rawa Restaurant
Tumblr media
< photo taken from Google >
This has been a longtime favourite of mine, but I’ve never really talked about it much. Its a steamboat restaurant situated in Johor Bahru.
This restaurant is a collection of fond memories, I’ve been to this restaurant so many times with my family as I grew up.
Besides my fondness for it, I also adore the food. It has a great variety of food.
When I think of Rawa, I think of  fuzzy golden memories and good food.
12. Yamesushi
Tumblr media
The most recent discovery. I was travelling and I came across this sushi place. Before that point in time, I wasn’t the hugest fan of sushi. I’d be okay with eating it but it just wouldn’t be my first choice if I was in a Japanese Restaurant.
This changed when I had Yamesushi’s sushi. Holy wasabi, their sushi is good. I haven’t the slightest idea what are the names of the sushi I ate but honestly, I’m sure they’re all good.
Their service is also really good, the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
If you’re in Terminal Bersepadu Selatan and you’re hungry, try some sushi from Yamesushi.
Tumblr media
I had so much fun compiling this list and taking pictures of the items I could get ahold of. I hope you try some of these and find them as lovely if not more, like I did.
See you soon ♡
Love, K

6 Easy Tips for How to Stay Healthy While Traveling
A joyous part of vacation can be falling off of your routine. There’s no snooze button to hit before work. Exercise comes from snorkeling over reefs instead of the gym. And, oh, the glorious room-service and street food that you can’t get at home and better yet aren’t cooking yourself.
However, it’s difficult to enjoy any of the above if you don’t feel well. Staying healthy while traveling does require a handful of simple measures and I’ve partnered with Nature Made to share my favorite tips so that you can indulge and have a great time no matter where you’re jetsetting for work or play.
Digestive Health First
Stomach issues are the most common ailments that can derail your vacation because they’re easy to pick up and tough to power through. It’s also easy to pay the price for merely eating food that you’re not used to.
A healthy gut can not only help travelers tolerate what they eat and drink, but it also is key to a strong immune system. It’s easy to travel with Digestive Probiotics that don’t need refrigeration. Nature Made has you covered with two different options:
Advanced Dual Action Probiotics in capsule form deliver the “good” bacteria your body needs in both the small and large intestines.†
Dual Action Probiotic + Energy B12 gummies contain 4 billion live cells of Bacillus coagulans.* IS-2 naturally helps support digestive health, and 1000 mcg of vitamin B 12 supports cellular energy production.† The gummies are so tasty that you might just look forward to taking your probiotics.
If you aren’t a regular probiotics taker, try to start at least a few weeks before departure because it takes time to build up gut health and get you in the habit of remembering to take them. Nature Made also has a full line of trusted products for committing to and supporting a healthy lifestyle or health goals.
Eating is definitely one of my favorite parts of travel.
Drink Lots of Water
Staying hydrated is also incredibly important for healthy travel, especially when flying. In the excitement of exploring a new city, it’s easy to forget to drink as much water as you’re used to or to opt for wine (guilty) instead of water. Carry a water bottle, ask hotel housekeeping for extra bottled water, or buy water to keep in your room so that it is always available. (I find that I’ll drink less water if relying on the hotel bathroom tap as a source.)
As you probably know already, it’s also wise to be careful about where you get non-bottled watered. In some parts of the world, your body won’t be used to bacteria in tap water that even water bottles with filters can’t remove. In these cases, opt for certified bottled water.
Keep Skin Hydrated
Flying is drying. In addition to drinking plenty of water while onboard, there are several other easy things you can do.
Carry a TSA-approved-sized hand cream, face cream or lip balm on the plane and remember to reapply it throughout a flight.
After landing, soak in bath salts. Not only is the magnesium in salt detoxifying but bath salts are also excellent for calming sore muscles and moisturizing skin. Then, lather on the moisturizer.
Here’s your excuse to hit the spa. One of the best jet lag remedies that I swear by is a spa appointment after a long haul flight, especially if it is a massage or wrap and facial combo. It’s a sure way to make sure skin is hydrated and that you feel relaxed enough to sleep well.
Get Enough Sleep
Sleeping away from home can be challenging for some, but there are some measures to take to create the best sleeping environment possible.
Ask for a quiet hotel room away from elevators, ice machines, and street noise.
Draw blackout shades tightly or call ahead to see the room you booked has them. (You might be surprised by how many nice hotel rooms don’t.)
Wear earplugs and an eye mask to prevent distraction.
If traveling across time zones, make sure to silence mobile phone alerts. People at home may not know how early or late it is wherever you are.
Try to Avoid Germs
I’m the person with the antibacterial wipe cleaning hard surfaces around my airplane seat. It’s a habit I’ve had for decades. The one time I forgot, my daughter caught a flu that nearly landed her in the hospital. Knock on wood; we haven’t been sick after flying since then. Make hand sanitizer a handbag staple while on vacation and get into the habit of using it regularly.
Forward Think Climate
Stay warm when you need to and be prepared for the heat. Even in Asia during a scorching hot summer, it’s important to pack and carry layers as air conditioning inside shops and restaurants can be quite cold even if it’s 100° F outside. Also, don’t let yourself get cold on an airplane. I can’t think of many destinations in the world where layers aren’t needed.
My Favorite Stay-Healthy Travel Gear
Eating well is one part of staying healthy while on vacation. The rest involves good sleep, staying hydrated, preventing jet lag and more. In partnership with Nature Made, I’ve put together some of my favorite things to help you achieve all the above so that your next vacation is the best one ever.
NatureMade vitamins
White + Warren Travel Wrap
Slip Silk Eye Mask
Dead Sea Bath Salts
Massage Ball
Kiehls Hydrating Mist
Swell Traveler Bottle
Jo Malone Travel Candle
The Honest Co. Hand Sanitizer
eos Travel Hand Lotion
Organic Lavender Essential Oil
You can take a peek at some of the fabulous items here (though colors and flavors of exactly what you may win vary).

CURRENT FAVOURITES
Hey! So following up on some current favourites from the last one, almost five months later ♥
** SKIN CARE FAVES **
Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate Intense Exfoliator ~ this is in my FabFitFun Fall 2017 box that I was a bit hesitant to try on at first just because of my new found love in my Sephora charcoal exfoliator. ExfoliKate works better and not just because it’s on the pricier side- but because it really does work for my new acne’s. I use this every three days as a part of my night-time routine and I find that my skin soaks up my skincare products better right after.
Korean Face Masks ~ my brother’s girlfriend picked up some Korean face masks for me when she was in South Korea and we all know that the Koreans have a A+ rep with skincare products. I’ve retired peel-off masks just because it just never worked for me and I didn’t find it was worth the time. These face masks are so soothing and relaxing!
SK II Essence ~ my current skincare regimen breaks the bank but it’s the only one that works! I have finally taken the plunge and splurged on SK II essence and it’s the best decision I’ve had in a while. I know this essence is very pricey but because I only require four drops, twice a day, I know that the 160 ml bottle will tide over until the next Sephora VIB sale in November.
Essie Cuticle Oil ~ leaves my cuticles soft and easier to push back, and makes my manicure look better and healthier.
Dermelect Ridge Filler ~ another FabFitFun score. I love wearing this as is for about a couple days, and on the third day, I’ll usually apply my nail polish. It makes my nails look stronger. And did I say it looked just as pretty as is !
Verb Sea Shampoo and Conditioner ~ I recently decided to move on from drugstore hair products (i.e., whatever’s marked down at the grocery store) and use a higher-end line. Verb was actually not my first choice to try out, but my #1 is a bit on the pricier side so I decided to try something reasonable for now. The Verb Sea shampoo and conditioner together cost $32, which I can live with. The reviews were promising, so I decided to just buy it without sampling. I love the subtle smell, and the way it feels after blow-drying in the morning. I wash my hair at night and my scalp used to get extremely oily the next day with drugstore hair cares, and I never have that problem with these products. I also noticed the fallouts to be lesser and lesser. Loving my bouncy hair especially this summer season.
Fresh Sugar Lip Polish ~ I’ve had this product for God-knows-how-long, and for all I know, this stuff’s already expired... but it still works! I wish I can use this everyday, but I know I shan’t so I won’t. lol I use it during my makeup days and it improves my matte lipstick application.
Sephora Face Wipes ~ this is one of the items that I picked up on a whim while at a Sephora ~travel items~ counter, and I’m glad I did. I swear by my Garnier makeup remover but those don’t have that closure thingamajig so my last one just dried up when I forgot to close it properly. I tried the Sephora Coconut makeup remover wipes first, and I already ordered another one online of a different type.
Sephora Face Mists ~ do you ever just pick up something from Sephora when ordering online just so you qualify for a free deluxe sample? Just me? Anyway, this face mist was only bought for the deluxe sample reason and I was going through a phase of face-mist-craze so I figured why not? I got the coconut one first, and I fell in love with it- I liked the atomizer a lot, I liked the price point, and I like the soothing effects so I decided to purchase the other type. This is my go-to during no-makeup days (which is, every day) plus a spot-concealer. Can’t go wrong! I wish they make other kind in the future.
Boscia Makeup Remover Cleanser ~ I remember the days when I attempted to use a makeup cleansing oil and it did not quite workout well for me, but I realised it’s because I wasn’t using a makeup wipe BEFORE using the cleansing oil. I also noticed that using a makeup removing wipe didn’t cut it at times, so I decided to use a cleanser once again. I love the cooling effect right after removing a full day’s worth of makeup, and I can  tell it’s really unclogging them pores. I still use my regular face cleanser afterwards, and I’m ready to zZz.
Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom Perfume ~ price-wise, this is luxury. I was looking for a new perfume for the winter and took the Sephora Fragrance IQ and this is one of the results. I’ve been relying a lot on the Fragrance IQ to decide my next scent, and so far, it hasn’t steered me wrong. I am obsessed with the subtlety of this scent- so feminine, so floral. I want to add “it’s so me...” but it’s really not. Haha...
Soap and Glory Body Scrub ~ I’ve been obsessed with body scrubs and I like to treat myself with a polish/scrub especially after a greasy workout. I wish I can use these scrubs everyday- but that’s detrimental to the skin of course! This is my current scrub, and I’ve used a few from Soap and Glory before. This has a nicer scent that lingers on my body throughout the night and I can still smell it the next day after tossing and turning and literally rubbing my body in my sheets. Again, I’ll use this everyday if I could!
** MAKEUP FAVES **
Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation ~ I saw this as one of the top-rated foundations in Sephora so when I went in for my complimentary makeover, I requested to have this  used on me. I like the consistency and how it has that blurring effect on my face, but at the same time, not being too cakey.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ~ I’ve always wanted to try this foundation but because I need to be color-matched before buying, I’ve put off for a couple of years. I also requested for this foundation to be used on me during a Sephora makeover and at the time, I didn’t like how it felt on my face. I used the sample I requested after the makeover and I liked it the second time around, and the coverage is surely buildable. I like how it looks on my face after a long day of makeup- and definitely long lasting.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Mascara ~ I stopped buying full-size mascaras and just heavily relied on the deluxe samples I get from shopping online at Sephora since there is ALWAYS a sample available for the taking. I’m buying a full-size of this one, though, because of the clump-free application and its amazing wand. You can literally apply multiple coats without that spider-webb-y look.
False Lashes ~ I know I’ve been too late in on the false lashes wagon, but I just recently started obsessing over them . I know I still need PLENTY of practice but when makeup gurus say that falsies put the whole makeup look together, they are not lying! I have short, pathetic Asian lashes and adding falsies make a ton of difference. I mostly apply lashes on bare eyes (i.e, no shadows) and I love the natural look it gives. For now I’m just practicing on cheap, Walmart lashes such as Ardell, Kiss, and a few things from nailpolishcanada, and I’m hoping to master the ~art~ of applying with a full-on eye makeup look.
Huda Beauty Matte Lipstick in Venus ~ I purchased this as a Lip Contour set and it came with a lip pencil and another liquid lipstick, but I enjoy this lipstick on its own as I’d say this is the closest shade of my lips. It’s long-lasting and doesn’t feel tacky- almost as if you don’t have any lipstick on. And I also like that it’s good even without a lip liner.
Becca Luminous Liquid Highlighter in Opal ~ my new holy grail! Crazy to think that this was purchased as a deluxe sample and I ended up LOVING the heck out this. The first time I used it, I was amazed by the glow it created even underneath a setting powder. I can almost use it on its own, but it just makes topping it with a powder highlight more longer-lasting and popping.
Becca Luminous Highlighter in Opal ~ I tried the cult favourite Champagne Pop before as my first Becca highlighter and for me, it didn’t live up to the hype that much. I wish I tried the Opal highlighter first; this, paired with its liquid constituent- girl your highlight can and WILL be seen from space.
Becca Sunlit Bronzer ~ I feel like I’m always on a hunt for a good bronzer, especially it’s almost summer time and sometimes I just go for the bronzy, warm look. I like how this fits the bill- not too light compared to the Too Faced Chocolate bronzer- and not to dark like the Nars Casino bronzer.
** MISC **
Muscle Roller ~ this was in my FabFitFun Winter 2018 box and boy oh boy, this is my new bestie. It does work wonders especially on intense leg days (it can be leg WEEKS at my gym sometimes) and works best especially for those who are so bad at skipping foam rolling at the gym (you know who you are!)
Analogue album by Odie ~ it was an album J shared to me- he wasn’t even all hyped up, just pointing out how this kid sounds like Kid Cudi- but one day I just let the whole album play and I was blown away. Perfect chill tunes. And it helped that Odie’s reppin Toronto!
CupShe Bikini ~ I’ve been seeing CupShe on my Facebook feed but I never actually bought anything from them until I saw this cute bikini set that made me say “I oughtta have those!”. I figured it would be my first ever CupShe purchase, and with the $2 shipping to Canada, it sure won’t be the last. Another plus? There weren’t any duties/taxes fee when they arrived. How awesome!
Yoga Jeans ~ I can’t buy jeans online just because it’s never true to size for me. We have a local boutique in town and I’ve had my eyes on this brand for the longest time and one day I was just walking past the store and saw that they have a 25% off store-wide event and I thought it was a perfect time to get my hands on these. They fit like a dream, they have the length that looks good on my 5′4 figure, and the material is stretchable. I would definitely buy these even in full price! So worth it.

Everyone loves some home fragrance, like who doesn’t love a good candle burning??? I certainly do, and you will always find my favourites burning in Gleonard Towers. I have three favourite brands, all of which have a variety of scents to choose from, so you don’t have to get the floral scents that I always choose from.
Neom is my favourite brand at the moment, I recon I will get one more night out of my three wick Scent to Sleep candle. This brand is beautiful, fully organic with the highest quality ingredients and scents that send you to another place entirely. I always buy the Scent to sleep range, the candle has a powerful scent which is never overpowering, it just calms you down and does help bring you to a more serene sleep.  If I am having a bout of insomnia I burn the candle, use the bath/shower oil and then spray the pillow mist liberally just before going to sleep and it genuinely does help. For Christmas the brand always bring out a couple of Christmasy scents, which are beautiful. I really do appreciate them but I always just but my usual fragrance but as a gift I think the Christmas ones are perfect. There is a certain routine in choosing your scent from Neom, so what I need from the range may very well not be what others need, they do scent to calm& relax, scent to make you happy, scent to boost your energy and scent to de-stress. Within the range they have one and three wick candles, I always get the three wick ones as you get so much more value from them, and you genuinely only have to burn them for 40 mins and you get the whole evening out of the scent. They also have a travel size candle, which are a great tester for your home. They have reed diffusers in the range that actually work, I have bought many reed diffusers in my time, some of them mega bucks and they never work, but these do. I still rather a candle or room spray, I like a strong hit of fragrance!! Neom is available in Brown Thomas or online where you can avail of 20% off until midnight tomorrow.
I couldn’t talk about home fragrance and not talk about Jo Malone, these are the original luxury home fragrance. This years Christmas is bright and fun, with candy stripes in really bright colours that will for sure brighten up your Christmas! They are packaged beautifully and everyone loves to get a Jo Malone bag! They have so many fragrances available in home fragrance, Lime, Basil & Mandarin is my favourite. The Christmas scent is Green Almond and Redcurrant and it is delicious! Jo Malone is available in Brown Thomas nationwide, BT2 in Dundrum and now it is in Arnotts!
Diptyque has been one of my favourite home fragrance brands for years, in particular Tubereuse. It is so fresh and beautiful and the room spray fragrance lasts for an age! When you spray it  the fragrance lasts for hours in the room, which is generally not what happens with room sprays. Available from Brown Thomas and Space NK this brand is a beaut! Of course I love Tubereuse, which is Tuber Rose scented which is having a huge moment in fragrance at the moment with Chanel, Aerin Lauder, Estee Lauder and all major fragrance brands using it in recent launches. I have been using it for years!!!
Jo Loves is the new brand from the creator of Jo Malone, after some years not working she has come back to business with a bang and with her she brings her unique sense of smell with some of the most beautiful fragrances I have tried in years! Unfortunately the brand is not available to purchase in Ireland as yet, but they do online sales and their customer service is impeccable. The products come beautifully packaged and well wrapped up for traveling! My favourite is Red Truffle 21, it is floral but has an unusual scent to it, unusual in a very very good way! I have the hand wash and lotion, and I am planning on getting the candle when I run out of the couple that I have ready to go. I tend to buy candles in bulk, meaning when I have money in the bank that is burning a hole in my wallet I buy things that I will use eventually! Candles and room sprays being the ones that I tend to buy mostly! Jo was a guest at a recent Image Magazine event and she had a pop up store at the event which apparently sold out, so I am guessing that a full time store will open in the future or at lease there will be a concession in a department store, please do open one Jo!! As with all of her original fragrances there is a mix of floral, Oud and spice in the list of fragrances so something for everyone. Their website is great and will quickly have you ordering far too many gifts for others so you will have to keep some for yourself!
Home scent is perfect and with the return of @jomaloneMBE @JOLOVESofficial it's getting hot! Everyone loves some home fragrance, like who doesn't love a good candle burning??? I certainly do, and you will always find my favourites burning in Gleonard Towers.
