Ooh will you pls walk us through your perfume/body wash/lotion collection?
fun fact i actually use gentle/unscented body products so all of my body wash/soaps/lotions/etc are not (or are negligibly) fragranced! my derm put the fear of god into me abt how it can irritate your skin, and since switching years ago i just haven't gone back! i like that it makes whatever fragrance i'm wearing smell cleaner and less muddied too. (my shampoo/conditioner/other hair product is fragranced so that still has a scent, so does my deodorant, and my laundry detergent. w that many scents happening on a regular basis i feel like there's rly no need for scented body cleansers imho.)
#liv got mail#as for fragrances i tend to go through phases and use up one at a time! right now i'm actually in the market for a new one#for a long time my go to was g**** water by byredo but i hate that it has a literal slur in the name (and is SO expensive) so i gave it up#i tend to prefer very unisex scents now that aren't super fruity or floral#some that i've had and enjoyed include:#you by glossier (pre-reformulation)#not a perfume from juliette has a gun (still have some of this one! will probably repurchase again)#black musk by the body shop is also nice! so is replica jazz club but it can be a bit alcohol/tobacco forward in an abrasive way#loved flowerbomb by victor and rolf when i was in my late teens/early 20s but idk if i know what it smells like anymore#i had a travel size of a jo malone one that i used up this summer but idk what it was anymore#there are more for sure but these are the ones that rly jump out at me!!

As a follow up to my packing light post, I wanted to share my travel make up kit must haves. Just like my clothing, I have certain must haves for make up. I do have a minimal make up looks, more of a natural glow rather than full on make up face that I don’t care for. Trips should be easy, breezy and light, so should your luggage and everything else in in or elso you will just be carting a heavy suitcase, which is not really fun especially when travelling alone. So my rule is if i cannot lift my suitcase up to the carry on compartment, its too heavy.
I came across this toiletry case at Tumi recently, it was small enough no to take enough space in your luggage but had enough space for all your travel size cosmetics, brushes, as well as toiletries. Interesting fact, Tumi now added a tracker number to these smaller accessories so if it does get lost and someone reports it missing, if you registered this on Tumi.com, they can figure out who owns it.
First thing that is important, and a must have, especially when travelling is sunscreen. This facial sunscreen that I use on a daily basis is Sublime Defense SPF 50, by Algenist. Its a fluid base formula that is not sticky, does not feel heavy and oily on your skin. I have oily skin, and finding a good sunscreen that is light is important as well as the SPF that it has.
Another must have is primers, I have two travel size primers that I carry with me all the time, and you can buy these at the check out counter at Sephora, as well as online at Sephora.com. Not every one use primers but let me tell you, I am a firm follower of a good primer, not only does it give a good base for your make up, it gives your make up that ompf that it needs to make your face look flawless. My favorite face primer is the Mineral Veil from Hourglass cosmetics. Again a lightweight non sticky formula that really supports your foundation. For my eyes, I’ve been using this Urban Decay Eye Primer for the longest time.
For my foundation, this is something I just came across a year ago and I haven’t changed since. Its called Power Fabric long wear high cover foundation from Giorgio Armani, also with a broad spectrum SPF 25 sunscreen. The reason why I love this product is because of the flawless effect it has on your skin with only a little product applied. I use my fingers most of the time to apply it, but it also looks great when applied with a blender sponge. Again because I have oily skin, I love that this product is light on my skin, and coverage is awesome. You can buy this at Sephora, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, or Bloomingdales.
Foe the rest of my face, I prefer to have a face palette that I can carry really easily that has everything and I had a hard time finding the perfect one until I came across this. Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Look in a Palette, I believe these are limited edition, I hope they are not! I love them, this one that I use on a regular basis is my definite favorite. There are 3 eyeshadows that can take you from a day to night look, a contour and highlight, blush and bronzer. Forgive me for the poor photos, but as you can see it is my favorite and I have been consistently using them. I’ve bought them for my mom and my aunt as well. They are numbered and labeled so you know where to apply them. This palette is a mainstay in my my bag.
The next few must have items are my eyebrow powder and my finishing powder. It is very important for me to have nice, thick, and neat eyebrows, I believe it defines your face and the thicker, the younger you look. Unfortunately my eyebrows don’t grow equally well, so I do need the eyebrow powder to even it out. My favorite is the Anastasia Beverly Hills in dark brown, I use an angled brush to apply it and the concealer to complete the look. As for the finishing powder, I love Laura Mercier loose powder, it sets my make up perfectly, take out the shine too. My favorite mascara to use on a night out is Diorshow waterproof mascara. Adds a great volume and stays on well. And another very important item which I believe all women must have it a make up setting spray. Also a must have is eyeliner. My favorite one to have I MAC Fluid line gel liner. I’ve tried others, but this has worked best for me. My ultimate favorite is the Urban Decay All nighter setting spray, true to its name it is perfect for an all nighter! I have been dunked in a pool, sweat all over the Philippine heat, and walked in the European sun with this, my make up stayed as great as it did when I put it on.
And lastly my go to lipsticks, I have two: for day and for night. My Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick is my go to day lip color. It’s light, natural and clean. My night color, my ultimate favorite shade of red, is Chanel ‘s Rouge Allure 99 Pirate. Again I apologize at how they look, they are my best used lipsticks.
You are never fully dresssed without a dependable cologne, and you must always have a signature scent. Body chemistry also plays into that. This has been my signature scent for a while and it has suited me quite well. Jo Malone comes in smaller bottles for travel size. I keep mine in my purse incase I might need it.
There you have it, this is my go to travel mak up kit. I never leave without them. Not all of these colors may be your type but I do recommend to check Charlotte Tilbury for new face palettes, or maybe smashbox at Sephora. But if you cannot find anything else, MAC has a customizable palette that you can get that you can fit in your make up bag. Remember that you dont need to bring a big bag of make up, unless if you are a professional make up artist, just bring essentials. Pack light everyone!

2017 RANDOM FAVOURITES
Here’s a random list of the things I’ve absolutely loved this year.
1. Jo Malone’s English Pear & Freesia Cologne
I received this as a gift about a month ago and I am OBSESSED. This has quickly inched up to my favourite item of 2017.
Jo Malone’s website describes the scent as “The essence of autumn. The sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears is wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias, and mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods. Luscious and golden”
It smells like a dream to me. Its a combination of fresh, fruity and floral ( essentially everything I look for in perfumes/colognes) wrapped into one.
Besides the amazingness of the actual product, I was very pleased with the service. The sales assistant was absolutely lovely.
If you’re in need of a new cologne I’d highly highly recommend Jo Malone’s colognes.
2. Pilot’s Mechanical Pencil + Pens
Daily essentials for me in school. I’m very fussy when it comes to stationery and these were right up my street.
Pilot is one of my all-time favourite stationery brands because of its many product options. Their mechanical pencils are amazing ( very easy and comfortable to use), their super grip pens are smooth and they last a reasonable amount of time too; and their poplol coloured pens are wonderful to use.
If you’re in need of some stationeries, try out Pilot! I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like.
3. Moleskine Notebook
This was also a gift. I write my diary entries/thoughts here. I think this is one of my favourites because it really helps me de-stress from everything.
It’s comfortable to write in ‘cause I don’t know if its just me, but I somehow find certain notebooks uncomfortable to write in.
This particular notebook has a large writing space, so you really can’t go wrong with it. It has acid free paper too! So your thoughts and words can be preserved forevermore.
Baseline is, I absolute enjoyed writing in this notebook.
4. Marks and Spencer’s Pyjamas
< photo taken from Mark’s & Spencer’s Website >
These pyjamas feel like I’m constantly being cocooned with blankets. Unfortunately I couldn’t take any pictures of my jammies because they were unavailable so I resulted to finding pictures of the pyjamas that looked similar to the ones I have.
These pyjamas are the top ranks in my Jammies Department because of how soft and comfy they are, seriously. And guess what? The pyjama bottoms have pockets, they couldn't get better honestly.
Although they’re a little on the pricey side, I think these pyjamas deserve a try.
5. Nylon Shorts
I literally sigh in relief when I come home and change into these. They’re absolutely amazing. I think my mom gave me these and I just... fell in love.
They’re comfortable and cool on the skin.
I can’t tell you enough how many times I look forward to wearing these. Heck, I’m even wearing nylon shorts right now.
6. Comfortable Pants
I’m unsure of the official name of these pants so I’ll just call them Comfy Pants. I’ve basically lived in these. They’re comfortable, fun and they’re fuss free.
These pants are perfect for chill-out days. Whether you’re lounging around the house, grocery shopping or you just want to be comfy.
There are so many patterns and colours to choose from as well. Join the Comfy Pants Club!
7. Nike Free Run RN Flyknit
I got these for myself a few months back. I decided to get these because I wanted to start exercising so I figured these would be a good start.
They’re equipped for running and rightfully so. They’re very comfortable to walk and run in, its unbelievable. I think they’re the most comfortable pair of shoes I currently own.
I think these are a great pair of shoes to have because its kind of universal. You could use these for exercising but also for going out, same same but different and just right.
8. Chocolate Chip Cookies
Choc chip cookies have been my snack saviour for late night studying. They’re gooey and yummy and just perfect.
They’re about as big as a palm so you can space out the amount of cookies without feeling.. cookie-less because of the size.
Paired with a glass of cold milk? Simply scrumptious. I think I’m gonna get some for myself now.
9. Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate Sachets
I discovered this from my brother, who at that time was obsessed with the sachets. Trusting his judgement, I decided to try one myself and I absolutely loved it ( still do ).
Almost every night, you’d find me clasping my hands around a mug with hot coco doing my school work. I was absolutely hooked with this after my obsession with tea dwindled.
Its straightforward and easy to work with, you just open the sachet and spill the contents into a mug, pour some hot water then stir and ta-da! I usually add a splash of milk in mine for extra creaminess.
If you’re travelling or you just want to drink something that’s easy to work with, this is definitely up your alley.
10. Mugs
I have an unhealthy obsession with mugs. It all started when I got obsessed with tea. Fortunately for me, my local supermarket sold a variety of mugs... and I basically got carried away.
The top right mug is the most recent, gifted to me, its for juice and cold liquids. The one beside it was my first mug purchase and is commonly used for hot chocolate. The one below was a “ why the heck not” purchase from Universal Studios Singapore ( for milk) and on its left was a “ I need this’ purchase used for tea.
See? I’m a mug freak
Jokes aside though, I absolute love mugs. Maybe too much.
11. Rawa Restaurant
< photo taken from Google >
This has been a longtime favourite of mine, but I’ve never really talked about it much. Its a steamboat restaurant situated in Johor Bahru.
This restaurant is a collection of fond memories, I’ve been to this restaurant so many times with my family as I grew up.
Besides my fondness for it, I also adore the food. It has a great variety of food.
When I think of Rawa, I think of fuzzy golden memories and good food.
12. Yamesushi
The most recent discovery. I was travelling and I came across this sushi place. Before that point in time, I wasn’t the hugest fan of sushi. I’d be okay with eating it but it just wouldn’t be my first choice if I was in a Japanese Restaurant.
This changed when I had Yamesushi’s sushi. Holy wasabi, their sushi is good. I haven’t the slightest idea what are the names of the sushi I ate but honestly, I’m sure they’re all good.
Their service is also really good, the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
If you’re in Terminal Bersepadu Selatan and you’re hungry, try some sushi from Yamesushi.
I had so much fun compiling this list and taking pictures of the items I could get ahold of. I hope you try some of these and find them as lovely if not more, like I did.
See you soon ♡
Love, K

I know your motives and you know mine, when serena & liam went to the victoria’s secret fashion show
story page | story playlist | as mentioned in chapter 20
One night in December, Liam and I ended up in Selfridges after a last minute dinner that turned out a lot better than I thought it would when we first agreed to meet. We made our way from the first floor up towards the perfumes, smelling copious amounts of Jo Malone. It turned out to be more entertaining to see our reactions once we sampled different bottles.
“So, babe, do you think we should go to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show next Tuesday?” Liam asked me across the counter. I turned around and looked at him, a look of confusion on my face. I had received an invitation myself. It arrived in a pink and white striped box, and the invitation was nestled inside, sparkly and beautiful.
I decided to play this to my amusement. We were taking things slow since our conversation in Oxford, I worried this was too big of a step. “You want to go watch girls parade around in lingerie? Because I can do that at home.” His cheeks turned pink, making me laugh. “I’m absolutely kidding. I think it could be fun. It’ll probably be brilliant.”
"God I didn’t even think about it when I said it. I was just thinking about things coming up and I said it,” he said, playing his nerves off with a shrug. I kept giggling, settling for the two bottles my mum mixed in travel size.
The day of, Leigh-Anne brought over five outfits for me to try on and see what I liked for the show.
"Leigh-Anne, why am I going to an event where supermodels are going to be? Like…”
Leigh-Anne rolled her eyes and continued working product through my hair. My hair was done, braided in a loose plait, hanging over my shoulder. Along with my invitation, I had received a pink and white striped short robe, black lace trim accenting the edges. I had it on for fun, trying to decide on what to wear to the show.
After going back and forth for about an hour, I decided on an off the shoulder white wrap-dress that accentuated my curves while leaving plenty to the imagination. I felt confident in it, prepared to hold myself high in front of the cameras.
Liam texted me when he was heading over and a car from there would take us to Earls Court, where the show was being held. As Leigh-Anne touched up my make up, there was a knock on the door, revealing Liam. I couldn’t ignore the way my heart stopped when my eyes landed on him in a black suit and a black bow tie at his neck.
“Hey babe, you almost ready?” He walked over to where I was seated, rubbing his palms together. Leigh-Anne waved him off with a flick of her make up brush.
“You can kiss her hello in a minute. I need to touch her up without a snog getting in the way.”
His eyebrows rose, apprehensive to come any closer. Instead, he plopped down on my bed, picking up a magazine and flipping through it absentmindedly.
“How was your day?” I asked as Leigh-Anne dabbed concealer under my eyes.
“Good. I slept until twelve, grabbed some lunch with Andy, and then we played Fifa. Lou came over to do my hair and put that horrible powder stuff on my skin.” He rubbed his face at the mention, to get it off his skin. He had the day off from work, Andy kept him company since I was swamped at my own job.
Leigh-Anne and I both snorted but then Leigh-Anne chastised him.
“Don’t go wiping that off or else I’ll come over there and touch you up. I’ve got Lou’s number, I can ring her whenever I like.”
“Have you really got it?” I asked, raising my eyebrows.
“The world of hair may seem big, sometimes literally, but it’s smaller than you’d think. Plus we’ve got clients that are dating, who else would we gossip about?”
“You are horrible.”
“Yep, now chin up, mouth closed. I need to apply this lip liner without you opening your trap.” Red lips finished off my look, my eyes traveling to Liam as Leigh-Anne applied the liner. He made faces at me and I tried my hardest not to crack a smile.
Before Leigh-Anne could touch up my hair one more time, we were ready to leave. We were running late but we took photos before we left. Mum was having a fit over us going, gushing over how good we looked. I could tell she was excited to see Liam back at the house. Dad told us to enjoy our night, which made me think Liam was going to pass out. He’d never get over who my dad was. “Alright byeee Mum! Bye Dad!”
We rushed to the car, me sliding in first and Liam behind. “So are you excited?” He asked, arm around the back of my seat. He was relaxed against the leather, I mimicked his body language and sat back too. Tonight was just about enjoying ourselves.
I nodded. “It’ll be quite an experience. We’ll have to watch it next week together to see it.”
“Is it not live?”
I shook my head. “It’s prerecorded a week in advance. Then they show it the following week to everyone. I have experience watching this.”
“Clearly. Well should be fun then. I feel like a proper creep if I look. Should I look? Or should I download Angry Birds or something and not watch?” He babbled, already sliding his mobile out of his jacket pocket.
His worried state made me laugh, so I placed a hand on his knee. “You can watch. I would think it was weird if you didn’t.”
“Oh that’s a relief. This is a big deal!” He exclaimed when I started grinning. “Victoria’s Secret is like forbidden territory to a man. I’d only send Chloe in there if I wanted to get you something.” Chloe was his personal assistant. She made sure Liam had all his dates in order and let him know when things were happening.
“Oh sure, too much of a wimp to go yourself. Honestly.”
“I can’t walk in there being me. I wouldn’t walk in there if I wasn’t me.”
“Man chooses to protect his masculinity rather than shop for his girlfriend, lame.” I chuckled, making Liam pout. “Oh don’t be that way. I won’t send you in there ever. But think of all the fun you’d have seeing me in different pieces hmm…” I whispered the last sentence in his ear. His fingers wrapped around mine as the car drove through London.
We mindlessly scrolled through our social media as we waited in the queue to get up to the venue. “Hey the carpet is pink apparently.” Liam leaned over and showed me his phone, a tweet showing a long expanse of pink carpeting with a pink backdrop.
“How fitting. Good thing neither of us wore pink, we’d blend right in.”
Liam chuckled next to me, his thumb kept on scrolling. “You do look brilliant in that tonight. I forgot to tell you at your house.” He gave me a small smile, his eyes crinkling. I returned it, squeezing his hand gently.
“Thank you, as do you. I do like that bowtie.”
“Would you believe I did it myself? I did have some help from Lou but I ended up getting it in the end.”
“It’s cute, I like it.”
“Louis is the one who can do all of our ties surprisingly. I guess it’s from teaching his sisters how to tie their shoes or something,” he added, glancing briefly out the window at the camera flashes ahead.
Conversation lulled, as we were next to get out. The door was opened by a security member, Liam stepping out first. He straightened up and then bent down, hand extended to let me step out. Once I emerged, the London air swirled around me. Bulbs flashed and cameras clicked as Liam placed a hand on my lower back. Immediately, everyone started going crazy at the sight of us together. I didn’t know if it was from a lack of public appearances together or just general excitement. There wasn’t anytime to fret over either since a staff member ushered us forward, and we stood waiting for our cue to walk down the carpet. I saw Ellie Goulding up ahead, Tinie Tempah not too far ahead of her.
“Alright Liam you go first, then Serena you’ll follow once Liam gets about three feet down the carpet.” He ushered Liam forward and I watched him stand back against the wall and pose for photos. Questions for him flew through the air, Liam keeping his posture.
My pulse quickened as I took my first steps out onto the carpet. I received the same response, if not a little louder. Constant snapping as I posed, I turned around, glancing over my shoulder. When I went to turn around, I caught Liam staring at me, his mouth hanging open slightly. I just smiled as I walked forward. We were both interviewed several times, mainly questioned about being there. “So Serena, are you looking forward to the show? I know I saw your boyfriend arrive with you, how’s he feel about coming to a thing like this?” one reporter asked, a blonde with perfect eyelashes.
“Actually he’s the one who brought it up. We had both received invitations and he asked me, ‘Do you think we should go?’ Then he kind of realized what he said; anyways yeah we’re really excited. It should be good.” I walked down a little bit more; Liam was only a foot away at this point.
“Serena, you look amazing tonight. So what’s your dad think about you coming to a show like this?” Another asked me. Right as I went to answer, a hand slid across my back. I looked to my right to see Liam standing close to me.
“Oh hello you,” I said first, the adrenaline of being on the carpet outweighed how flustered I was by Liam’s sudden appearance, and turned to the reporter. “I don’t think he’d be caught anywhere near here but he told us to have fun, right?” I turned to Liam, who was smiling at me.
He nodded in agreement. “Yeah, yeah these things don’t come around that often.”
We were ushered away from the reporters, instead posing together which made me feel stronger. With Liam’s arm around my waist, I stood taller, my smile growing wider. I placed a hand on his torso, and he turned to me at one point to give me a smile. Standing together seemed to make us stand up straighter, expressions more genuine. Cameras clicked away but they were just background noise. “How many of them you bet need a wee right now?” I whispered in Liam’s ear, causing him to burst into laughter. I giggled along too, both of us eyeing the cameramen. I couldn’t help but think, this was where we belonged: side by side in front of any camera any day.
The two of us were soon led inside were guests milled about before we were to be seated. “Oh there’s Daisy! Let’s go say hi.” Liam followed behind me as I made way to my friend that I only saw at social events. “Daisy, how’re you doing?”
“Ah, Serena! How are you love? You okay?” Somewhere a camera flashed as we embraced.
Daisy, Liam and I chatted for a bit, until Tinie Tempah came by too. He and Liam became wrapped up in a conversation about music producing and mixing tracks. Soon we were ushered down to our seats, the catwalk was about three feet off the floor, and lights were being tested out before the cameras went on.
I chatted to Ellie Goulding, who was also staring at Ed Sheeran across the way. I noticed Liam had hardly moved a muscle, staring at his phone. “You know, if you stare any harder the screen might crack.” I leaned against his arm, breathing against his ear.
He jumped a little, brown eyes looking over at me. “This is so stressful, I feel like someone’s going to walk by in a thong and a bra and slap me for looking.”
I threw my head back in a laugh, finding his nerves way too funny. His lips turned into a pout, his back hunched over. I scooted closer, my right thigh pressed right against his. “You need to relax. You can look all you want, tell me what you think too. I want you to enjoy this with me, alright?”
He smiled, a small one that didn’t quite meet his eyes. But his back straightened up and he had a proper look around the building. “This place is massive, I’ve only been here a couple of times for things with the band. Never been here as a guest like this.”
“I think I attended some conference or meeting with Dad before he got elected. Really boring event, no open bar. I think I entertained myself by placing tic-tac-toe with Iris.”
“Hard to imagine you playing any game with Iris. Is she super competitive?”
I rolled my eyes. “Yes, but I beat her every round, pulling the old boxing her in so I won every time. She won’t play any games with me anymore, not that I have any quips about it.”
Liam chuckled, and producers started walking around, getting ready to film. The music started up, the venue lit up, and the screen behind the models started flashing different colors. We were bopping our heads to the music, watching the lights change color and flicker across the screen. Behati Prinsloo appeared in a wave of gold, massive wings attached to her back. She was already my favorite and she wasn’t even halfway down the catwalk.
“She is definitely my favorite,” I whispered into Liam’s ear. There were about four cameras on tracks going around, filming the girls and the crowd. The first segment went quickly, Liam pointing out some pieces he liked. We went back and forth over our favorites, enjoying the performances along the way.
I was mesmerized by the fantasy bras and the girls in them when the next segment started. “Can you imagine carrying all of that? That’s such a responsibility to handle, I could never.”
Liam leaned back, lips pressed to my ear. “You’d look amazing in it though. You covered in rich gemstones? Damn, I should not have worn something so constricting.”
I slapped his knee, turning my attention to the stage. “Now control yourself.”
The rest of the show passed in a blur, it was beautiful, amazing, and had me singing begrudgingly along to Taylor Swift as she finished the show. We mingled around for a few minutes, being pulled apart to answer questions for lingering reporters. There was a party afterwards for the models and guests, cars were waiting outside to escort people there.
We were going, I was hungry and keen to see the spread Victoria’s Secret had provided. After walking through a throng of paps, we were tucked back in a town car. “Hey Harry just texted. Said he’s coming to the party he thinks,” Liam said, the message app open on his phone.
“Why didn’t he go to the show? Scared of running into Taylor?” We both snorted over Harry and his tendency for the awkward. Harry was such an interesting and charming person, it was no wonder everyone was in love with him.
“I don’t know to be honest, probably too hungover. But he can never resist a good party. He might be dressed as much as the models were at the show.”
Before we went inside for the party, I changed out of my white dress into a much shorter, lower cut black one that made Liam wolf whistle when I stepped out. There was another pink carpet with eager photographers waiting to chant our names again. Inside, a DJ was already playing songs and people milled about in clusters. Loveseats and settees were placed around the room, a dance floor in the middle. Liam and I stayed close together, I scanned the room for a familiar face. I made eye contact with Behati, who looked even more like a goddess in person. “Oh my God Liam, Behati just totally looked at me. If she says one word to me I might die. Like literally.”
Liam squeezed my hand, trying to comfort me. “Just say hello if she does. I’m sure she’s perfectly nice.”
“Okay Mr. Manners then you go introduce yourself.”
He shook his head quickly. “Hell no. Go and embarrass myself like that? Absolutely not.”
“It would at least entertain me,” I snorted, giggling behind my hand. Right as I snorted, someone cleared their throat. I turned my head, making eye contact for the second time with Behati Prinsloo, the supermodel herself.
“Hey, aren’t you Liam Payne? I’m Behati.” She stuck her hand out towards my boyfriend. I could see his cheeks flushing through the polite façade he was clinging to, shaking her hand slowly.
“Yeah that’s me. It’s so nice to meet you. You, uh, did a great job tonight yeah?” His eyes darted everywhere but Behati, even though she wore more clothing than she did on stage. It wasn’t much more but it was close enough to the dress I had on.
Behati laughed, a loud infectious one that made me want to laugh along with everything. “That’s one way to say it. But thank you, there’s no easy way to say ‘Good job on walking around in your underwear for an hour,’ is there?”
“Definitely not something you hear every day. Well, you might though,” I uttered, then clapped a hand over my mouth. I probably put my foot in my mouth too from how embarrassed I was. But then Behati laughed and I wanted to disappear into the floor.
“Oh Behati, this is my girlfriend, Serena Cunningham. She may or may not have mentioned you were her favorite,” Liam introduced us, getting an elbow in the ribs from me.
“Prime Minister of England’s daughter right? Someone said you were here, I think Lily said something about wanting to meet you. Part of her family is from the UK, so she still has ties here.” Behati gave me a hug next, a proper one, not some lame polite one that famous people usually gave. I ended up in a deep conversation with Behati, the two of us laughing as we shifted topics.
I ended up in a selfie session with Behati, Lily appearing in half of them too. Lily hugged me wildly, like we had known each other for years. I was pretty sure Taylor Swift had stopped by at some point too, but I didn’t exchange many words with her.
Nearby, Liam was in conversation with Adam Levine and trying not to hyperventilate. They were discussing music of course, Adam let Liam ask a billion questions because Adam had his own for Liam. Behati made her rounds again, coming by to kiss her husband, and taking a photo of Liam and Adam together.
“This is so going to make my Instagram,” Adam said as he looked at his phone. He bounced on the balls of his feet, scrolling through his mobile.
“Is it weird that I was thinking that too? Things like this only happen once wouldn’t you say?” Liam wondered aloud, winking at me when we made eye contact. Most of the time, celebrities were polite to each other, especially if neither talked shit in the press, but sometimes I’d meet some famous person and realize that we had things in common deeper than being photographed when we stepped out of our front doors.
Adam nodded in agreement. Harry finally appeared halfway through the party. He embraced me first because I was the first person he saw. Then he was hugging Ed, moving on to Tinie, and eventually ended up next to Liam. Adam almost looked starry eyed as he chatted to the two boys, which made me laugh. The photos that were taken that night and that would surface later would potentially break the Internet.
Liam, Harry, and I ended up at a bar table with Adam and Behati, a tray of shots in front of us. Harry had his phone out, taking photos of everyone. “Harry don’t make this out to be some dramatic shit on your Instagram,” I pointed out after the three of them had taken a picture on Harry’s phone.
Harry pressed his ring-covered fingers to his exposed chest. “I take my Instagram very seriously. It could win many awards.”
“Like the ‘Taking it too seriously’ award,” Liam suggested, getting a glare from Harry and a snicker from me.
After many poor attempts of singing along to the songs from the DJ, Liam and I were ready to leave the party. Harry tagged along too, almost too pissed for his own good. He was stumbling around in his boots, smiling lazily. Liam slung Harry’s arm over his own shoulders, pulling him along.
“You go ahead, I’ll be right behind.” Liam nodded and security escorted us to the car. Harry leaned against Liam, me on the other side. Liam’s hand was wrapped tightly around Harry’s bicep and we navigated ourselves to the car. I had black spots dancing in front of my eyes from the cameras once we landed in the car.
Harry fell asleep as we drove through London. Liam sighed, taking in the tangle of limbs and long hair that was Harry. “I think I’m going to take him back to my place. I’m not going all the way to Primrose Hill to deposit him in his bed.”
I was dropped off at my own house that night, a massive gift bag wrapped around my fingers. With a kiss goodnight, Liam was gone in the town car with a sleeping Harry.
The next morning, the world woke up to a flurry of photos from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After party in London. All of the models were photographed partying with Britain’s finest from One Direction band members Liam Payne and Harry Styles to the Prime Minister’s daughter, Serena Cunningham. Adam Levine posted three photos to his Instagram, one featuring Harry Styles, another of him and Behati, and the third a selfie with Liam Payne.
@behatiprinsloo: party n bullshit ldn style @lilyaldridge @serenacm
@lilyaldridge: Pleasure hanging with Britain’s best @serenacm
@harrystyles: we’re not models @fakeliampayne @serenacm
@serenacm: In London we do it best @behatiprinsloo @lilyaldridge @victoriassecret
@Real_Liam_Payne: That was fun @SerenaCunningham

6 Easy Tips for How to Stay Healthy While Traveling
A joyous part of vacation can be falling off of your routine. There’s no snooze button to hit before work. Exercise comes from snorkeling over reefs instead of the gym. And, oh, the glorious room-service and street food that you can’t get at home and better yet aren’t cooking yourself.
However, it’s difficult to enjoy any of the above if you don’t feel well. Staying healthy while traveling does require a handful of simple measures and I’ve partnered with Nature Made to share my favorite tips so that you can indulge and have a great time no matter where you’re jetsetting for work or play.
Digestive Health First
Stomach issues are the most common ailments that can derail your vacation because they’re easy to pick up and tough to power through. It’s also easy to pay the price for merely eating food that you’re not used to.
A healthy gut can not only help travelers tolerate what they eat and drink, but it also is key to a strong immune system. It’s easy to travel with Digestive Probiotics that don’t need refrigeration. Nature Made has you covered with two different options:
Advanced Dual Action Probiotics in capsule form deliver the “good” bacteria your body needs in both the small and large intestines.†
Dual Action Probiotic + Energy B12 gummies contain 4 billion live cells of Bacillus coagulans.* IS-2 naturally helps support digestive health, and 1000 mcg of vitamin B 12 supports cellular energy production.† The gummies are so tasty that you might just look forward to taking your probiotics.
If you aren’t a regular probiotics taker, try to start at least a few weeks before departure because it takes time to build up gut health and get you in the habit of remembering to take them. Nature Made also has a full line of trusted products for committing to and supporting a healthy lifestyle or health goals.
Eating is definitely one of my favorite parts of travel.
Drink Lots of Water
Staying hydrated is also incredibly important for healthy travel, especially when flying. In the excitement of exploring a new city, it’s easy to forget to drink as much water as you’re used to or to opt for wine (guilty) instead of water. Carry a water bottle, ask hotel housekeeping for extra bottled water, or buy water to keep in your room so that it is always available. (I find that I’ll drink less water if relying on the hotel bathroom tap as a source.)
As you probably know already, it’s also wise to be careful about where you get non-bottled watered. In some parts of the world, your body won’t be used to bacteria in tap water that even water bottles with filters can’t remove. In these cases, opt for certified bottled water.
Keep Skin Hydrated
Flying is drying. In addition to drinking plenty of water while onboard, there are several other easy things you can do.
Carry a TSA-approved-sized hand cream, face cream or lip balm on the plane and remember to reapply it throughout a flight.
After landing, soak in bath salts. Not only is the magnesium in salt detoxifying but bath salts are also excellent for calming sore muscles and moisturizing skin. Then, lather on the moisturizer.
Here’s your excuse to hit the spa. One of the best jet lag remedies that I swear by is a spa appointment after a long haul flight, especially if it is a massage or wrap and facial combo. It’s a sure way to make sure skin is hydrated and that you feel relaxed enough to sleep well.
Get Enough Sleep
Sleeping away from home can be challenging for some, but there are some measures to take to create the best sleeping environment possible.
Ask for a quiet hotel room away from elevators, ice machines, and street noise.
Draw blackout shades tightly or call ahead to see the room you booked has them. (You might be surprised by how many nice hotel rooms don’t.)
Wear earplugs and an eye mask to prevent distraction.
If traveling across time zones, make sure to silence mobile phone alerts. People at home may not know how early or late it is wherever you are.
Try to Avoid Germs
I’m the person with the antibacterial wipe cleaning hard surfaces around my airplane seat. It’s a habit I’ve had for decades. The one time I forgot, my daughter caught a flu that nearly landed her in the hospital. Knock on wood; we haven’t been sick after flying since then. Make hand sanitizer a handbag staple while on vacation and get into the habit of using it regularly.
Forward Think Climate
Stay warm when you need to and be prepared for the heat. Even in Asia during a scorching hot summer, it’s important to pack and carry layers as air conditioning inside shops and restaurants can be quite cold even if it’s 100° F outside. Also, don’t let yourself get cold on an airplane. I can’t think of many destinations in the world where layers aren’t needed.
My Favorite Stay-Healthy Travel Gear
Eating well is one part of staying healthy while on vacation. The rest involves good sleep, staying hydrated, preventing jet lag and more. In partnership with Nature Made, I’ve put together some of my favorite things to help you achieve all the above so that your next vacation is the best one ever.
NatureMade vitamins
White + Warren Travel Wrap
Slip Silk Eye Mask
Dead Sea Bath Salts
Massage Ball
Kiehls Hydrating Mist
Swell Traveler Bottle
Jo Malone Travel Candle
The Honest Co. Hand Sanitizer
eos Travel Hand Lotion
Organic Lavender Essential Oil

Samantha Markle Found a Way to Troll Meghan Markle for Thanksgiving - Vanity Fair
From FOX Image Collection.
This year, Samantha Markle has gone so far as to travel to the U.K. to try to get her younger half-sister Meghan Markle’s attention, attempting to gate-crash both Kensington and Buckingham Palaces and going on live British television. For Thanksgiving, though, she stayed on this side of the ocean to accomplish her goal—though, as usual, she got plenty of media attention from her Twitter account.
On Twitter, she posted that she was spending time with her father, Thomas Markle, who says his daughter and the royal family have cut him off.
“Dad’s [sic] are special! I love my dad more than anyone in the world!” she wrote alongside a selfie of her and Thomas. In another she wrote, “Had a fantastic birthday and thanksgiving with my dad!”
These tweets—which remain protected, and apparently mostly visible to tabloids—were as clearly targeted at Meghan as they could be without tagging her nonexistent Twitter handle. But this was pretty innocent compared to what’s supposedly coming next; she reportedly plans to drop her long-promised tell-all book at the same time as the birth of Meghan and Harry’s baby. Samantha Markle: a troll for every season!

CURRENT FAVOURITES
Hey! So following up on some current favourites from the last one, almost five months later ♥
** SKIN CARE FAVES **
Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate Intense Exfoliator ~ this is in my FabFitFun Fall 2017 box that I was a bit hesitant to try on at first just because of my new found love in my Sephora charcoal exfoliator. ExfoliKate works better and not just because it’s on the pricier side- but because it really does work for my new acne’s. I use this every three days as a part of my night-time routine and I find that my skin soaks up my skincare products better right after.
Korean Face Masks ~ my brother’s girlfriend picked up some Korean face masks for me when she was in South Korea and we all know that the Koreans have a A+ rep with skincare products. I’ve retired peel-off masks just because it just never worked for me and I didn’t find it was worth the time. These face masks are so soothing and relaxing!
SK II Essence ~ my current skincare regimen breaks the bank but it’s the only one that works! I have finally taken the plunge and splurged on SK II essence and it’s the best decision I’ve had in a while. I know this essence is very pricey but because I only require four drops, twice a day, I know that the 160 ml bottle will tide over until the next Sephora VIB sale in November.
Essie Cuticle Oil ~ leaves my cuticles soft and easier to push back, and makes my manicure look better and healthier.
Dermelect Ridge Filler ~ another FabFitFun score. I love wearing this as is for about a couple days, and on the third day, I’ll usually apply my nail polish. It makes my nails look stronger. And did I say it looked just as pretty as is !
Verb Sea Shampoo and Conditioner ~ I recently decided to move on from drugstore hair products (i.e., whatever’s marked down at the grocery store) and use a higher-end line. Verb was actually not my first choice to try out, but my #1 is a bit on the pricier side so I decided to try something reasonable for now. The Verb Sea shampoo and conditioner together cost $32, which I can live with. The reviews were promising, so I decided to just buy it without sampling. I love the subtle smell, and the way it feels after blow-drying in the morning. I wash my hair at night and my scalp used to get extremely oily the next day with drugstore hair cares, and I never have that problem with these products. I also noticed the fallouts to be lesser and lesser. Loving my bouncy hair especially this summer season.
Fresh Sugar Lip Polish ~ I’ve had this product for God-knows-how-long, and for all I know, this stuff’s already expired... but it still works! I wish I can use this everyday, but I know I shan’t so I won’t. lol I use it during my makeup days and it improves my matte lipstick application.
Sephora Face Wipes ~ this is one of the items that I picked up on a whim while at a Sephora ~travel items~ counter, and I’m glad I did. I swear by my Garnier makeup remover but those don’t have that closure thingamajig so my last one just dried up when I forgot to close it properly. I tried the Sephora Coconut makeup remover wipes first, and I already ordered another one online of a different type.
Sephora Face Mists ~ do you ever just pick up something from Sephora when ordering online just so you qualify for a free deluxe sample? Just me? Anyway, this face mist was only bought for the deluxe sample reason and I was going through a phase of face-mist-craze so I figured why not? I got the coconut one first, and I fell in love with it- I liked the atomizer a lot, I liked the price point, and I like the soothing effects so I decided to purchase the other type. This is my go-to during no-makeup days (which is, every day) plus a spot-concealer. Can’t go wrong! I wish they make other kind in the future.
Boscia Makeup Remover Cleanser ~ I remember the days when I attempted to use a makeup cleansing oil and it did not quite workout well for me, but I realised it’s because I wasn’t using a makeup wipe BEFORE using the cleansing oil. I also noticed that using a makeup removing wipe didn’t cut it at times, so I decided to use a cleanser once again. I love the cooling effect right after removing a full day’s worth of makeup, and I can tell it’s really unclogging them pores. I still use my regular face cleanser afterwards, and I’m ready to zZz.
Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom Perfume ~ price-wise, this is luxury. I was looking for a new perfume for the winter and took the Sephora Fragrance IQ and this is one of the results. I’ve been relying a lot on the Fragrance IQ to decide my next scent, and so far, it hasn’t steered me wrong. I am obsessed with the subtlety of this scent- so feminine, so floral. I want to add “it’s so me...” but it’s really not. Haha...
Soap and Glory Body Scrub ~ I’ve been obsessed with body scrubs and I like to treat myself with a polish/scrub especially after a greasy workout. I wish I can use these scrubs everyday- but that’s detrimental to the skin of course! This is my current scrub, and I’ve used a few from Soap and Glory before. This has a nicer scent that lingers on my body throughout the night and I can still smell it the next day after tossing and turning and literally rubbing my body in my sheets. Again, I’ll use this everyday if I could!
** MAKEUP FAVES **
Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation ~ I saw this as one of the top-rated foundations in Sephora so when I went in for my complimentary makeover, I requested to have this used on me. I like the consistency and how it has that blurring effect on my face, but at the same time, not being too cakey.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ~ I’ve always wanted to try this foundation but because I need to be color-matched before buying, I’ve put off for a couple of years. I also requested for this foundation to be used on me during a Sephora makeover and at the time, I didn’t like how it felt on my face. I used the sample I requested after the makeover and I liked it the second time around, and the coverage is surely buildable. I like how it looks on my face after a long day of makeup- and definitely long lasting.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Mascara ~ I stopped buying full-size mascaras and just heavily relied on the deluxe samples I get from shopping online at Sephora since there is ALWAYS a sample available for the taking. I’m buying a full-size of this one, though, because of the clump-free application and its amazing wand. You can literally apply multiple coats without that spider-webb-y look.
False Lashes ~ I know I’ve been too late in on the false lashes wagon, but I just recently started obsessing over them . I know I still need PLENTY of practice but when makeup gurus say that falsies put the whole makeup look together, they are not lying! I have short, pathetic Asian lashes and adding falsies make a ton of difference. I mostly apply lashes on bare eyes (i.e, no shadows) and I love the natural look it gives. For now I’m just practicing on cheap, Walmart lashes such as Ardell, Kiss, and a few things from nailpolishcanada, and I’m hoping to master the ~art~ of applying with a full-on eye makeup look.
Huda Beauty Matte Lipstick in Venus ~ I purchased this as a Lip Contour set and it came with a lip pencil and another liquid lipstick, but I enjoy this lipstick on its own as I’d say this is the closest shade of my lips. It’s long-lasting and doesn’t feel tacky- almost as if you don’t have any lipstick on. And I also like that it’s good even without a lip liner.
Becca Luminous Liquid Highlighter in Opal ~ my new holy grail! Crazy to think that this was purchased as a deluxe sample and I ended up LOVING the heck out this. The first time I used it, I was amazed by the glow it created even underneath a setting powder. I can almost use it on its own, but it just makes topping it with a powder highlight more longer-lasting and popping.
Becca Luminous Highlighter in Opal ~ I tried the cult favourite Champagne Pop before as my first Becca highlighter and for me, it didn’t live up to the hype that much. I wish I tried the Opal highlighter first; this, paired with its liquid constituent- girl your highlight can and WILL be seen from space.
Becca Sunlit Bronzer ~ I feel like I’m always on a hunt for a good bronzer, especially it’s almost summer time and sometimes I just go for the bronzy, warm look. I like how this fits the bill- not too light compared to the Too Faced Chocolate bronzer- and not to dark like the Nars Casino bronzer.
** MISC **
Muscle Roller ~ this was in my FabFitFun Winter 2018 box and boy oh boy, this is my new bestie. It does work wonders especially on intense leg days (it can be leg WEEKS at my gym sometimes) and works best especially for those who are so bad at skipping foam rolling at the gym (you know who you are!)
Analogue album by Odie ~ it was an album J shared to me- he wasn’t even all hyped up, just pointing out how this kid sounds like Kid Cudi- but one day I just let the whole album play and I was blown away. Perfect chill tunes. And it helped that Odie’s reppin Toronto!
CupShe Bikini ~ I’ve been seeing CupShe on my Facebook feed but I never actually bought anything from them until I saw this cute bikini set that made me say “I oughtta have those!”. I figured it would be my first ever CupShe purchase, and with the $2 shipping to Canada, it sure won’t be the last. Another plus? There weren’t any duties/taxes fee when they arrived. How awesome!
Yoga Jeans ~ I can’t buy jeans online just because it’s never true to size for me. We have a local boutique in town and I’ve had my eyes on this brand for the longest time and one day I was just walking past the store and saw that they have a 25% off store-wide event and I thought it was a perfect time to get my hands on these. They fit like a dream, they have the length that looks good on my 5′4 figure, and the material is stretchable. I would definitely buy these even in full price! So worth it.

Everyone loves some home fragrance, like who doesn’t love a good candle burning??? I certainly do, and you will always find my favourites burning in Gleonard Towers. I have three favourite brands, all of which have a variety of scents to choose from, so you don’t have to get the floral scents that I always choose from.
Neom is my favourite brand at the moment, I recon I will get one more night out of my three wick Scent to Sleep candle. This brand is beautiful, fully organic with the highest quality ingredients and scents that send you to another place entirely. I always buy the Scent to sleep range, the candle has a powerful scent which is never overpowering, it just calms you down and does help bring you to a more serene sleep. If I am having a bout of insomnia I burn the candle, use the bath/shower oil and then spray the pillow mist liberally just before going to sleep and it genuinely does help. For Christmas the brand always bring out a couple of Christmasy scents, which are beautiful. I really do appreciate them but I always just but my usual fragrance but as a gift I think the Christmas ones are perfect. There is a certain routine in choosing your scent from Neom, so what I need from the range may very well not be what others need, they do scent to calm& relax, scent to make you happy, scent to boost your energy and scent to de-stress. Within the range they have one and three wick candles, I always get the three wick ones as you get so much more value from them, and you genuinely only have to burn them for 40 mins and you get the whole evening out of the scent. They also have a travel size candle, which are a great tester for your home. They have reed diffusers in the range that actually work, I have bought many reed diffusers in my time, some of them mega bucks and they never work, but these do. I still rather a candle or room spray, I like a strong hit of fragrance!! Neom is available in Brown Thomas or online where you can avail of 20% off until midnight tomorrow.
I couldn’t talk about home fragrance and not talk about Jo Malone, these are the original luxury home fragrance. This years Christmas is bright and fun, with candy stripes in really bright colours that will for sure brighten up your Christmas! They are packaged beautifully and everyone loves to get a Jo Malone bag! They have so many fragrances available in home fragrance, Lime, Basil & Mandarin is my favourite. The Christmas scent is Green Almond and Redcurrant and it is delicious! Jo Malone is available in Brown Thomas nationwide, BT2 in Dundrum and now it is in Arnotts!
Diptyque has been one of my favourite home fragrance brands for years, in particular Tubereuse. It is so fresh and beautiful and the room spray fragrance lasts for an age! When you spray it the fragrance lasts for hours in the room, which is generally not what happens with room sprays. Available from Brown Thomas and Space NK this brand is a beaut! Of course I love Tubereuse, which is Tuber Rose scented which is having a huge moment in fragrance at the moment with Chanel, Aerin Lauder, Estee Lauder and all major fragrance brands using it in recent launches. I have been using it for years!!!
Jo Loves is the new brand from the creator of Jo Malone, after some years not working she has come back to business with a bang and with her she brings her unique sense of smell with some of the most beautiful fragrances I have tried in years! Unfortunately the brand is not available to purchase in Ireland as yet, but they do online sales and their customer service is impeccable. The products come beautifully packaged and well wrapped up for traveling! My favourite is Red Truffle 21, it is floral but has an unusual scent to it, unusual in a very very good way! I have the hand wash and lotion, and I am planning on getting the candle when I run out of the couple that I have ready to go. I tend to buy candles in bulk, meaning when I have money in the bank that is burning a hole in my wallet I buy things that I will use eventually! Candles and room sprays being the ones that I tend to buy mostly! Jo was a guest at a recent Image Magazine event and she had a pop up store at the event which apparently sold out, so I am guessing that a full time store will open in the future or at lease there will be a concession in a department store, please do open one Jo!! As with all of her original fragrances there is a mix of floral, Oud and spice in the list of fragrances so something for everyone. Their website is great and will quickly have you ordering far too many gifts for others so you will have to keep some for yourself!
Home scent is perfect and with the return of @jomaloneMBE @JOLOVESofficial it's getting hot! Everyone loves some home fragrance, like who doesn't love a good candle burning??? I certainly do, and you will always find my favourites burning in Gleonard Towers.

Inside my Beauty Travel Bag
PR girls are always travelling and most of the time we need to pack light for events like trade shows, a quick fashion week trip or to visit a client in a different city. We have to be organized and remember to never OVERPACK!! (I know I know for fashionistas this can be hard.) This time I was heading to Liberty Fairs in New York and I managed to pack all my beauty needs in one small Christian Lacroix toiletry bag. Bear in mind I never leave without these essentials.
Starting with my skin care, one thing we always forget is making sure our skin stays hydrated and glowing at all times. Starting with my hands; I am constantly shaking hands and typing away on emails so my hands get dry, however I can count on my Deciem Hand Chemistry to keep them feeling soft.(http://chemistrybrand.com)
Before application of my makeup I use these go to products: The Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil (http://ordinaries.com/), Belif The True cream (www.belifcosmetic.com) and The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer. (http://ordinaries.com/)
Now for makeup, girls always think you have to take everything in your vanity on a work trip, but remember you are working you don’t want to over do it and you want to look natural. This time around I had my top 4 products that were a must on this trip, and yes ONLY 4.
The Perfect CC Cream- The Luminessence CC cream by Armani (http://armanibeauty.com), which also acts like a moisturizer for your skin. I use the NARS Radiant creamy concealers (www.narscosmetics.com), which comes in a range of colours
One of the best products in my make up collection right now is the Charlotte Tilbury Seductive Palette (www.charlottetilbury.com). This has everything from eye colours, a bronzer, highlight and a blush colour. Last my fave mascara on the market right now is the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes (www.charlottetilbury.com), and yes it comes in a Travel Size ;).
Now ladies I know its hard when you have to pack everything into a carry on and there are all these “rules” for bottle sizes. The best purchase I ever made was my Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia Cologne (www.jomalone.com) and yes it comes in a 30ML, perfect for any short trip!
I have said it before and I will say it again the best carry on and the one I cannot leave without is the handy Rimowa- Topas Cabin MultiWheel.(http://www.rimowa.com)
I’ve always been a victim of overpacking, but on this trip I think I finally have my beauty regime down pat, and might leave most of these products in my toiletry bag for my next adventure.
