Alejandro peeks at the drink Andronikos is toying with—a violet midnight or something along those lines, one of those cocktail concoctions that has been making rounds on Starstagram. The liquid gleams like indigo and twilight crystallized into a glass, and it’s arguably the most expensive option available among the selection the Estrellians have provided. 

Typical Andronikos.

Filtered air floats through the Equilibrium’s banquet hall like wafts of exhaled cool, rustling through the froths of lily-of-the-valley spilling like perfumed lace from the sleeves and shoulders of Andronikos’s jacket, fluttering blooms of ivory set off by slate-colored silk. Camelia prefers to attire her consort in a more restrained fashion than she does herself, but she—like her half-sisters—has never been one to skimp on any expense when it comes to providing her followers with symbols of their loyalty.

Whether the Second Prince Consort’s allegiance to Camelia comes through force or through an alliance, Alejandro can’t say. It’s very possible that it’s both, knowing the kind of princess Camelia is; she certainly didn’t choose to decorate Andronikos in poisonous flowers for no reason.
