man. like. I don't mean this as a vaguepost or anything, this is just me expressing frustration with my own tendencies to get hung up on stupid shit and take things too seriously. but two days into mingling with the fandom it seems that I'm already reaching the point where I start increasingly feeling the strain between my fandom ideals of letting a thousand flowers bloom, respecting people's interpretative freedom etc and simultaneously noticing how wildly a section of the fandom is misinterpreting my favorite character, and electing to take it personally to a ridiculous extent

#not gonna fandom tag this lmao im not that kinda person #but I think we can all agree that this is something of a universal experience in fandom. im just being a bit of a dumb baby about it rn lol #also worth mentioning that this post is the result of a night migraine and less than 3 hours of very shitty sleep #woke up feeling pissed off as hell over something i read last night. perfectly aware of how petty and stupid i'm being about it #and i also fully recognize the temptation to turn it into a 'people need to stop forcibly fixing fictional men' type sentiment #which is also a valid take everything considered lbr #but i know that even more than that this is literally me self-projecting and being reminded of awful interactions i've had on my own front #so while i do feel that there's a conversation to be had in there somewhere i'm not the right guy to contribute to it let alone initiate it #anyway. uh. yeah #i guess this is some type of vent haha but again i am deadly tired and in pain rn so pay no mind pay no mind
