spring; about (task 001)
Character Chart:
Character’s full name: spring Reason or meaning of name: the season after winter and before summer, in which vegetation begins to appear, in the northern hemisphere from march to may and in the southern hemisphere from september to november. Character’s nickname: piper rose Reason for nickname: piper means “flute player” which is the musical instrument of the Greek God Pan, who was the god of the wild, shepards and their flocks, and nature of mountain wilds. It’s very tongue in cheek in her opinion. rose is a type of flower, one of her favourites actually. Birth date: may
Physical appearance:
Age: most likely as old as the earth itself. How old does he/she appear: looks to be around 23/24. this matches her very childlike wonder and enjoyment of the world; and being associated with the birth of a lot of things (e.g. animals and nature), she tends to be on the more youthful side of things. Height: 5′5″ Eye color: green Glasses or contacts: neither Skin tone: pale Distinguishing marks: freckles on left cheek Predominant features: bright orange hair Hair color: orange Type of hair: long and wavy Hairstyle: depends on the day but it’s always a toss up between three: down and wavy, ponytail, or half up. Overall attractiveness: she’s a total cutie lbr Physical disabilities: she can be quite prone to getting migraines that cause her to become quite grumpy and lock herself in dark rooms until they pass. Usual fashion of dress: anything light and flowy. she can always be seen in a dress or in a skirt. a staple of her outfits is either chiffon or a floral pattern. Favorite outfit: she has a yellow sundress she wears ALWAYS and typically pairs with a denim jacket if it’s a little chilly outside. Jewelry or accessories: she tends to wear a lot of dainty rings, usually pairs two or three necklaces -- typically with little leaf or moon pendants -- and will sport the occasional choker.
Personality:
Good personality traits: optimistic, happy, caring, warm Bad personality traits: naive, stubborn, irksome, oblivious Mood character is most often in: relaxed and/or happy Sense of humor: she likes to laugh a lot; she’ll laugh at just about anything that’s funny, so long as it’s not at the expense of another person. Character’s greatest joy in life: animals & flowers Character’s greatest fear: seeing the earth crumble and not being able to do anything about it. Why?: she doesn’t like feeling powerless when it comes to nature and her season; it’d feel like being trapped in a glass cage, able to see everything that was going on but unable to do anything about it, unable to be heard by others as she begged them to do something about it. What single event would most throw this character’s life into complete turmoil?: some kind of weather catastrophe that would throw off everything she has come to know of her routine in life. also, losing one of her bird friends and losing jackie too. Character is most at ease when: in a field, surrounded by grass and newly growing flowers. Most ill at ease when: not in her own comfort space; she feels most comfort in the mansion and in her suite specifically, but when she has to be anywhere else it makes her slightly anxious. Enraged when: when she sees people disrespecting nature/the earth. she doesn’t get angry easily but when she sees someone contributing to the destruction of earth, she completely loses her shit. Depressed or sad when: she doesn’t outwardly show her sadness but can be quite upset whenever something is mentioned about the state of nature, whenever someone brings up how badly animals can be treated. Priorities: nature/earth, animals, flowers, the people she cares about being happy Life philosophy: “have courage and be kind” If granted one wish, it would be: that people would stop taking nature for granted and begin taking care of it. Why?: the destruction of earth breaks her heart on the daily, she wants everyone to see that it’s not something that can be easily replaced. she can do her job as much as she likes but Character’s soft spot: plants and animals that are considered dangerous -- e.g. snakes, poison ivy, and so on. this is mostly because she’s aware they’re seen as bad and/or dangerous and has decided to love them even more for that. Is this soft spot obvious to others?: perhaps. she’s so outwardly affectionate to all forms of life that it might be easy to guess, but it might also come as a shock as she’s always on the more cute and playful side of things. Greatest strength: wanting others to be happy. she understands that happy might not be a constant state and that different things makes other people happy, but overall she tries her hardest to make others happy. Greatest vulnerability or weakness: she can be quite sensitive, leading to getting her feelings hurt if people tread on the wrong path. Biggest regret: there was one time, some decades ago, when she was responsible for a particularly bad famine that was the result of her emotions. she has felt guilty for it ever since and, arguably, it’s the reason as to why she doubled down on her whole “be kind/treat people with kindness” motto. she’s trying to atone. Minor regret: allowing flowers to wither. Biggest accomplishment: the concept that her season comes with a fresh start Minor accomplishment: successfully providing animals with new grazing grounds each year. Past failures she would be embarrassed to have people know about: any sort of crop failure that lead to a famine. Why?: she fears that kind of event makes her look bad in the eyes of the other seasons; she worries that it looks like she isn’t doing her job and that she’s a failure. she greatly worries that it would hint to the others that she isn’t incompetent or too caught up in her youthful antics that she couldn’t do her work properly. Character’s darkest secret: sometimes, she isn’t sure of her place in the world. she often feels as though she isn’t as needed as she likes to believe and it has made her feel quite insecure -- why need spring when new life can be formed any time of the year, right? Does anyone else know?: nope! she keeps this to herself because she’s very guarded when it comes to negative emotions. she doesn’t want anyone to know she feels anything negative.
Goals:
Drives and motivations: okay she can be VERY stubborn but she also wants to see the earth as a safe and happy place for both people and animals, and she wants to do her best to accomplish this. Immediate goals: turning her room into a mini bird sanctuary tbh. Long term goals: protecting the earth and animals, seeing the people she cares about happy and healthy. How the character plans to accomplish these goals: by taking care of her element and encouraging the others to so, going out of her way to be kind and friendly with everyone she meets How other characters will be affected: she’s going to constantly be bugging them, like always on them to try and help, and then on the other side, she’s gonna be doing her best to see if they are okay and if they need her help with anything.
Favorites:
Color: dusty pink Least favorite color: purple Music: light instrumentals Food: salads Literature: while it seems like she would be a big fan of light novels or perhaps romance novels, she actually really likes dark fantasy. she likes magical realism and she likes to see how others portray the nature of the worlds they build when they aren’t under her influence. Form of entertainment: reading! Mode of transportation: walking. to spring, there’s nothing like a good walk. Most prized possession: she has an old book on one of her bookshelves that she doesn’t let anyone touch; inside is a variety of different pressed flowers that are the first or second of their type. she has kept them to remind her of the good she does.
Habits:
Hobbies: sketching, collecting pretty or odd looking stones, drying out flowers and keeping them pressed in old classical novels. Plays a musical instrument?: she knows a few chords on the guitar and is trying her best to learn it. she has all the time in the world to do so, after all. Plays a sport?: it might not be a sport but she likes to do some running and jogging around the mansion. she also does some gymnastics and yoga. How he/she would spend a rainy day: two ways and it depends on the weather outside. if it’s sunny/warm, she might actually go out into the rain and just enjoy the weather. whether that’s out in the actual rain or just sitting under some shelter and watching/listening to it, which all depends if it’s a drizzle or a downpour. if it’s cold/stormy, she’ll curl up next to a window and read to the sound of it. Smokes: nope! Drinks: she’s very fond of fruit juices. as for alcohol, a little bit of wine doesn’t hurt. Other drugs: nope. What does she do too much of?: talking. she could talk to everyone and anything for hours and hours. she has so much energy and so much to share with everyone, she can’t stop. What does she do too little of?: Extremely skilled at: drawing, keeping plants alive (duh!), looking out for others Extremely unskilled at: looking out for herself, realise when she’s being annoying Nervous tics: playing with her fingers/hands Usual body posture: she usually sits up quite straight, the yoga she does really helps with that, but when it comes to reading, she’ll slouch and curl up and overall just sit however is comfiest. Mannerisms: she can be quite energetic, always moving around and keeping herself busy -- when talking to the others, she’ll be doing something with her hands, whether it’s sketching, holding something, or simply just playing with her hands.
Traits:
Optimist or pessimist?: optimist Introvert or extrovert?: a mix of both? Daredevil or cautious?: weirdly enough, daredevil Logical or emotional?: emotional Disorderly and messy or methodical and neat?: methodical and neat. spring cleaning, duh! Prefers working or relaxing?: working. Confident or unsure of herself?: presents herself as confident but can be quite unsure of herself Animal lover?: ABSOLUTELY
Self-perception:
How he/she feels about himself/herself: she likes to think she’s a good person but she can feel quite insecure at times. sometimes, she feels like she can be too annoying and will do things to try and combat that. One word the character would use to describe self: warm One paragraph description of how the character would describe self: “warm and kind; i’d say i’m a person who’s just trying to spread joy around the world, to make it a better place. i know i can be neurotic about it, but i’m just doing my part.” a slight pause. “i sometimes don’t feel so sure of myself -- don’t tell anyone i said that, though -- because, like, i feel so young compared to everyone here and i just... i just want to do my best and prove myself but i feel like -- like i’m not doing any good. What does the character consider her best personality trait?: her optimism What does the character consider her worst personality trait?: a toss up between how stubborn she can be and how annoying she can be. What does the character consider her best physical characteristic?: she quite likes her green eyes What does the character consider her worst physical characteristic?: probably her smile, as wild as that is. How does the character think others perceive her: as an annoying little kid who can’t stop bugging them; as that one optimistic friend who always tries to find the bright side no matter what. What would the character most like to change about herself: probably how she goes about interacting with other people; there’s just something inside of her that can’t recognise when others are becoming tired of her.
Relationships with others:
Opinion of other people in general: she doesn’t like to judge anyone until she gets to know them; other people are on a neutral ground for her until she gets to know them and then she can form her opinion on them. depending on who they are, she will either treat them with warmth and kindness or shun them. Does the character hide her true opinions and emotions from others?: occasionally. she won’t lie to people about how she feels about them, simply because that’s not honest and can be quite damaging -- to both parties. Person character most hates: she tries not to hate anyone but if she had to pick? climate change deniers. Person character goes to for advice: no one. call it pride or stubbornness but she likes to pretend that she knows everything and doesn’t need advice but mostly, she’s just trying to prove herself to the others. Person character feels responsible for or takes care of: not really a person per say but all of the animals she comes across. i’m sure there’s plenty of times when she’s had to be told to not bring one home. Person character feels shy or awkward around: autumn Person character openly admires: summer Person character secretly admires: winter

have you got any ideas on how pezberry would fit into canon?
a few!
the most optimistic version is that they get together in s3. Rachel has some common fucking sense and breaks up with Finn after HE FUCKING OUTS SANTANA holy shit. Then maybe she can support Santana during her whole outing and getting shunned by her abuela. She invites Santana around her house and she meets Rachel's dads, and gets to feel a bigger sense of community and see that things really will get better and she still has a future even if things still seem bleak now. And Santana still picks out those earrings for Rachel for a gift (bc that's canon and it's so sweet) to say thank you for all she's done. And they grow closer and have a sweet relationship in s3 and they sing So Emotional to/with one another and Santana comes to NY right away and it goes from there
Maybe another version where they get closer in s3. Like Santana helps Finn pick out the earrings as per canon but Rachel knows Santana was the one behind them and she thanks her for that. They sing all their gay ass duets, have a good friendship, then maybe hook up near the end of s3 (around prom time) and it's kind of awkward and they don't know how to proceed from there and maybe they go their separate ways. So Santana actually has a reason for not going to NY bc you know it's such a small town she'd be running into Rachel all the time. But then they see each other again I guess during Glease bc they're both back in Ohio and they start to talk things out. Then in Thanksgiving Santana is still like "has anyone heard from Rachel?" and decides to call her herself during the break. Then maybe she still comes to talk to her in Naked and they have a nice time and things aren't as awkward anymore. Then they hook up at the wedding and they're like "this is messy and complicated and idk what's going on but it'd be a lot easier to figure it out if we were at least in the same state" so that's when Santana moves to NY and they officially start dating
Third option is Santana moves to NY at the beginning of s4 so she and Rachel (and Kurt) are roomies. So Rachel and Santana's friendship is growing alongside Rachel's budding relationship with Brody. And Santana HATES Brody and is determined to prove he's a creep and is always trash talking him etc etc. And at one point Rachel blows up at her and is like "Why do you care so much anyway??" and then we and Rachel realize that it's bc Santana is jealous. So Brody eventually leaves the picture but doesn't get beaten up please god and then Santana helps heal Rachel's broken heart and of course they get together after that
Fourth, canon basically happens up until mid s5. Santana auditions for Rachel's understudy and Rachel gets the wrong idea which causes Santana to freeze up again and things are tense and angry and they're back to bickering. Maybe Rachel goes to stay with Elliott while things calm down but doesn't move out bc that's insane. But they finally talk things out when they're back in Ohio. Santana explains that she just wanted to work with Rachel and she thought Rachel would be down right flattered to know Santana wanted to follow her career footsteps and Rachel explains that she just felt like Santana was trying to overshadow her. But they understand each other's pov's and apologize and actually make up. So they go back to NY and work together and things are mended and they grow closer and then opening night happens and Santana gets Rachel flowers and Rachel gets Santana flowers even tho she isn't even performing and Santana tells Rachel to break a leg and Rachel kisses her and then they're gfs from the end of s5 all thru s6
Fifth. Same as above but they don't make up in 5x13 and Santana leaves and goes off with Brittany. But she comes back to NY for Rachel's opening night and they talk after the show and after the club, before they go to check the reviews in the newspaper. Basically insert this where the Sue bullshit was. And Santana says she tried to reunite with Brittany but things weren't right and they knew they were better off apart. And Rachel asks her to stay in NY bc it's where she belongs. And Santana agrees but maybe decides to move in with Mercedes. So things are still fragile and a little tense but they're working thru everything. Baby steps. And then start dating in s6
Umm so yeah those are a few ideas. These are a mix of things I just made up off the cuff, and things I've basically written full fics for in my head lol. So I hope you enjoy the ideas <3

The Cage - Part One
A/n: so hi! This is a UFC based fic about Grayson Dolan. This is an AU with an OC. There is no face claim as of now but they might change idk. I’m not going to ramble lol I’m just very very nervous. Anywho please enjoy and let me know what you think! There will be many parts to this series by the way lol so this part is kind of slow but just wait aha
Word Count: 5924
Warnings: fluff, mentions of death, explicit language, and triggering topics (maybe?) mentioned
“I’ve always wondered what it’d be like to be famous- never telling anyone but I’ve always wanted to know- wanted to get in the head of someone famous and see what they go through- but I could’ve never guessed this was how I was going to find out.
It all started when I was 22, fresh out of college, with a crappy assistant job at a publishing company in Los Angeles, California. Having been stuck at this job for almost three years and never even having my articles read, I was starting to lose hope that I would never be more than an assistant. Until one day…”
“Lily! Get in here! And bring me a coffee!” I scurry to Mr. Lane’s office, clutching the coffee I had just gone and grabbed for him, stopping by my desk to grab my notebook and pen.
I opened his glass door and put his coffee down on his desk, pushing up my glasses as I opened my notebook and clicked my pen, looking up at him expectantly, waiting for him to say what he needed me to do. He looks at me, his eyes bright at first but quickly losing their color and he sighs as though he’s already exasperated, “What is this?” He holds up a copy of a story I had put on his desk.
Oh jeez, another rejection. I push my glasses up again and start to stutter out an explanation in a quiet voice, “Well, I-I heard you talking to some of the reporters about need-needing a new story for next week's issue and well, I-I already had an idea so I thought I’d-” He cuts me off with a quick raise of his hand and a stoic look on his face, giving nothing away.
“Look,” he sighs and rubs his face with both hands before continuing, “It’s not a bad story, but it’s a half-baked idea. That’s your problem. That’s why you haven’t gotten a byline yet- you can never deliver a full idea- let alone a full article, do you understand?”
I look down, refusing to let him see my cheeks burn red and my eyes water. This is what he says every time I give him an idea. “Do you want to be a journalist?” He questions.
I make eye contact with him quickly lifting my head and squaring my shoulders to try and seem more confident, “More than anything, sir.”
“Well then, I have a proposition for you.” He gets up from his chair, his tall, lean body going to perch on the corner of his desk as he looks up at me his blue eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint, “I’ll give you a lead, and if you can follow through and get me a full 12000-word article by Monday, you can keep your job and I might throw you a lead here and there. But if you fail to deliver…” He pauses momentarily, thinking over his next words carefully, “you lose your job.”
I gasp and try to reason with myself for a second, making a mental pro-con list before replying quietly, “What’s the article on?”
He shakes his head and smirks lightly, filling my stomach with more unease, “No, you have to agree to the proposition. Then, I will tell you the story.”
Can I do this? Can I risk everything? I mean, that’s what my life’s been so far, a lot of risks and sacrifices. But is this a sacrifice I’m willing to make?
What would mom do? I sigh, “O-ok. Okay, I accept. Now, what’s the story?”
He claps his hands together excitedly and looks up at me with a boyish grin, he moves swiftly behind his desk and grabs an envelope, handing it to my shaky hands, “Grayson Dolan, he fights tonight here at the arena, go with a press pass, get an interview with him and ask him a couple of questions. Oh, and make sure we get a quote.”
I stare at him open-mouthed, frozen to my spot, “What? The Grayson Dolan?! You and I are both very aware that he refuses to do interviews. This isn’t even possible.” I say without trying to raise my voice too much.
Jace just leans back in his desk chair, lacing his fingers together and putting them behind his head, “Not my problem- it’s yours now. If I don’t have that story in my hand Monday morning, just pack your things up and leave, got it?” He smirks up at me.
I just silently walk out of his office and back to my desk, sitting down and putting my head against the cool wood surface. I don’t know if I want to cry or punch myself in the face.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
“And then he told me that if I accept- but fail to give him a story- I lose my job!”
“Wow! I never liked that guy, you know. He gives off such- such a douchebag vibe.”
I can’t help but chuckle at my dad’s voice dropping a little, he hasn’t been big on cursing since mom passed. At first, it was weird because both my parents cussed when I was growing up. But after mom passed, dad decided that, ‘there’s enough hate in the world’ and that he’s not going to add to it with foul language.’
“I know Dad, but what am I supposed to do?”
“Don’t accept it! You should never risk your whole career on whether or not some guy is feeling up to an interview!”
“Ok, one-” I start, “it is not just some guy! This is Grayson Dolan! And two,” I lower my voice and chew my lip, a bad habit I picked up in middle school, “I already agreed.”
“Of course you did!” he sounds exasperated and I pull my phone away from my ear a little out of reflex, “You are just like your mother, you know that?” he sighs and the line goes quiet.
“Daddy?” I whisper into the phone. He stays silent. It’s my turn to sigh and fall back onto my couch. I mutter into the phone, “He wouldn’t tell me the story until I accepted. I have to go get ready, I’ll talk to you after the match. I’ll be sitting ringside so look for me, ok?”
“Ok, I will. I’m still not happy about this.”
“I know Dad, you’re not happy with two-thirds of the things I do.”
That gets a reluctant chuckle out of him, “I guess you’re right. Good luck, by the way. If anyone can get an interview out of Dolan- it’d be you. And if you can’t, your childhood bedroom would love to have you back.”
“Ha-ha. Thanks. I love you.”
“Love you too baby, I’ll see you soon?”
“Dad,” my stomach drops at his hopeful voice and I can’t bring myself to tell him the truth, “Maybe, bye.”
I hang up the phone before he can say anything and I sink into the couch.
I wake with a start, my neck sore from the back of the couch. Oh no. I grab my phone in a haste, I turn it on and my whole body sags in relief when the time shows up; 6:45.
I have about an hour and a half to get ready, that’s enough time!
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Wrong. Very wrong. I feel a wave of heat wash over me, igniting my anxiety as I look at the time on my phone; 7:45.
I quickly put on my normal, light makeup consisting of moisturizer, skin tint, blush on my cheeks and nose, giving me an almost sunburnt look. I shape my eyebrows a little, fix my glasses, and put on my chapstick. I quickly brush out my short, wavy hair and clip back the front parts. I shake my head slightly to get my bangs in place and do one last check in the mirror before heading to my closet.
Too pink. Too casual. Too tight. Too- ugh where did I even get that from? I start moving the hangers faster, getting frustrated with my lack of options. I move past a pastel purple dress- wait. I go back to the dress and grab it off the rod, holding it up in the light.
When did I buy this? My eyebrows furrow as I look at the beautiful and delicate dress that I must’ve forgotten about. I pull it off the hanger and slowly put it on, saying a silent prayer that it fits.
I smooth the soft material out and look in the mirror. I’m pleasantly surprised by how the dress fits. It’s silk with spaghetti straps and is a lilac color with little flowers all over it.
I don’t have time to overthink my outfit now. I throw on my roommate’s white Timberlands, grab my black purse, making sure my ID, wallet, and phone are all tucked safely inside. I grab my press pass and put the lanyard around my head carefully.
Taking a deep breath, I walk out to the living room where my roommate is sitting waiting for me to come out.
I clear my throat and try not to look too awkward. Ryan looks up from her MacBook and gasps, tossing her laptop onto the couch next to her, she moves over to me, her long legs gracefully walking around the coffee table.
She investigates every part of my outfit, making me feel small and self-conscious. Before I can stop myself, I start rambling in a quiet tone, “Is-is this too much? Do you th-think it looks okay?”
She grasps my shoulders and a wide smile makes its way onto her face, “Of course, you look amazing!” I smile at her and she winks at me, “When that pretentious ass sees you- he might want to do more than just let you interview him.”
I snort and roll my eyes and she laughs, “Yeah right,” I mumble.
She walks over to our coat rack and pulls off a small black cardigan, “Here, I know it gets cold in there,” I smile gratefully and take it from her, folding it over the crook of my arm and taking a deep breath.
I start to walk towards the door and she calls my name, I look back at her as I open the door, “You look hot Lil- knock ‘em dead,” I smile at her and nod, walking out before I get sappy.
I pull into the busy parking lot of the arena and gulp down my bubbling anxiety. I find a parking spot, towards the back of the lot seeing as I don’t get bothered by having to walk a little. I go up to the line, seeing a sign that says, ‘PRESS ENTRANCE HERE’ I smile at the worker looking at me and pointing to the Press sign and then at my pass hanging around my neck, he nods.
I go towards the other entrance and show a different security guard my pass and he opens a door for me, I smile up at him, “Thank you-” I glance at the small name tag, “Don.” He blushes slightly and coughs.
I blush too and walk through the door quickly. I realize that I’m ‘backstage’ and can hear the fans cheering for one of the main card fights happening. I check my small watch and see that it’s going to be another hour or so before Grayson Dolan fights.
I take another deep breath and start walking forward, trying not to look like a lost puppy and failing when a man wearing a UFC crew shirt comes over to me with furrowed brows, “Who’re you looking for?”
I look at him, his deep voice vibrating against the walls, “Grayson Dolan,” I answer back.
He gives me a once-over and I try not to make a face when he meets my eyes and smirks, “Oh, he’ll like you.” I furrow my brows but decide not to question it as he points down a long hallway, “Four doors down, take a right, then the last door on the left is him- the one that’ll say, Grayson Dolan.” I thanked him even though he was a bit rude, and made my way down.
Once I turn down the hallway I see someone sitting outside one of the rooms on a single chair. I make my way closer and my heart drops into my stomach when I see it’s a girl sitting outside Grayson Dolan’s room, “Hello? Are-Are you okay?”
The girl looks up at me from her phone and gives me a once-over, except it’s different from the way the worker did- she looks annoyed with me. She stands up, her high heels making her about an inch or two taller than me, “Who are you?” She asks, crossing her arms over her chest, pushing her cleavage up.
I cough to clear my throat a little, taken back by her abrasive tone, “I’m a reporter- Are you okay?”
“I’m perfectly fine, and if you’re here for Grayson Dolan- he won’t talk to you.”
“I- I’m sorry, why do you say that?” The woman steps closer to me and I try not to gag at the smell of her cheap, overused perfume. I step back from her and she straightens up slightly, glowering at me.
“Just run along, maybe you’ll understand when you’re grown,” She says, looking back at her phone, when she glances up and sees I’m not leaving she rolls her eyes, “Grayson Dolan doesn’t talk to reporters. I wouldn’t be surprised if you weren’t actually a reporter anyway, you’re probably just here to fuck him, huh? Get in line,” She laughs.
My whole body feels like it’s on fire. I don’t understand why she’s being so rude and malicious towards me but I have to get this interview. I can’t let people like her bring me down anymore. When she gives me a fake smile and sits back down, I decide to be the bigger person. Not snapping back at her and ignoring her. Because she doesn’t know me and she doesn’t know what I’ve been through.
The door opens before I can say anything anyways and we both look over, startled. A man looks over at us, then turn and glances back inside the room before he nods, looking at me, and asking what my name is, “Lily Taylor, here with Ace Publis-” I try to tell him but he cuts me off opening the door wider and my eyes widen as he tells me to come in. I try to keep from laughing when the girl asks if she can come in but he just shakes his head at her, I turn around quickly before he shuts the door, “If I were you- I wouldn’t lie to others and say you’re around his age, it’s very obvious that you’re old enough to be his mom,” And the door shuts on her shocked face.
I realize my heart is pounding in my ears and that is probably the meanest thing I’ve ever done, “I should probably apologize,” I whisper to myself and jump slightly when I hear a deep chuckle.
“What can I help you with, Ms. Taylor?” My shoulders tense at the familiar voice and I turn around slowly, facing a couch with a very amused Grayson Dolan sitting on it.
“I- I’m so sorry for being so rude to her. I didn’t mean to be.”
“Why do you think I’d care about her? She’s been sitting out there for two hours,” He laughs and I think he caught the raise of my eyebrow but ignores it, “I asked you once, Ms. Taylor, I don’t like repeating myself.” He reminds me of his question.
I square my shoulders, “I’m here with Ace Publishing & Co., I would love if you could answer some questions for me,” I smile at him, trying to come off as friendly.
His amused expression drops and he scoffs, “You’re one of them? God- here I was hoping you were a die-hard fan. Was going to make you feel very special,” He smirks at me and I scrunch my nose out of habit at his gross words. I quickly stop, realizing I need this, “Frank- show Ms. Taylor out please,” He sighs, and my eyes widen and I stick my hands out and Frank stops moving for a second.
“Wait! Wait! Please I-” Frank huffs at my refusal to move and grabs my arm as I move closer to Grayson, “Please. I wouldn’t be this adamant if I didn’t need this. Please. My career is counting on this moment. Please, I will get down on my knees and beg if I have to, please,” I put my hands in a pleading gesture, hoping he’d take pity.
He holds his hand up to Frank and he lets go of my arm, I sigh and straighten up a little, hoping to gain back some of the dignity I seemed to have lost, “What do you mean?” He cocks his head to the side curiously and I blush, glancing at the ground.
“My boss he uh- he told me that if I don’t get at least a quote from you I can kiss my job goodbye and well, it’s not the best job but I’ve worked my ass off to get where I’m at and he’s being unfair and I understand that this isn’t your problem and I understand why you don’t like to talk to interviewers-”
He cuts me off, “You know why I don’t talk to interviewers?” I look up at him and nod meekly, “Why? Explain it to me,” he crosses his arms and I think he might be upset with me.
I look back down at the ground and take a breath, glancing back up at him through my lashes, “You don’t do interviews because doing an interview is personal and revealing. You’re scar- scared to let the world see who the Grayson Dolan is because you don’t think they’ll like you as much.”
He cocks his eyebrow and uncrosses his arm, sighing, looking away from me to the wall, his tongue pressing against the inside of his cheek as he contemplates for a minute, “You got like 20 minutes to ask me whatever you want, and no stupid questions that all the interviewers ask, okay?” I nod and move to sit in the chair next to the couch.
“Do you mind if I record this? I’d like to keep this paper-free, meaning I don’t have a notebook out and try to write everything down. We’re just going to have a conversation and let it flow. I can stop recording at any time if you say something you’d like erased. I’m not here to expose you, just here to get to know you. As a person. Not as a fighter. I’m not going to ask you anything about how being a fighter’s been or what your inspiration is. I’m going to ask you about you. As a whole. Because the UFC is not your personality,” I explain to him, pulling my phone out and pulling up my voice memos app and looking back up to him, waiting for an answer.
He stares at me until finally, I say his name quietly, hoping he’s okay, he blinks and flushes, shifting, “Sorry, y-yeah, that’s okay. I just- I didn’t expect you to be like- acting like a human.”
I laugh and start recording, “Maybe that means I’m a bad journalist? I don’t know- I feel like it’s easier to connect and get the questions in without papers and cameras and all that other stuff.”
(this part is going to be a dialogue as though we are just listening to the recording)
“That makes sense, and no I can tell you’re going to be great, you treat me like I’m just- a guy, which doesn’t happen often.”
“I bet, you don’t deserve that though. Okay, I’m going to start us off with some icebreakers- so tell me what your childhood dream job was, your favorite ice cream flavor, and 3 things you do on the weekends.”
“Oh, jeez, what is this- first day of 6th grade? Fine- Uh, I always wanted to be a pro wrestler, that was my dream job as a kid. My favorite- vegan- ice cream flavor is probably mint chocolate chip. And, uhm, three things I do on the weekends...okay okay I got it; eat, sleep, workout. Now you.”
“Me?”
“Yes, you, Miss Reporter. If you want this to flow you gotta participate as well.”
“Okay, fine. Uh- as a kid I always wanted to be a veterinarian, and then when I was like 10 I realized I wanted to be a writer. My favorite ice cream flavor is probably mint chocolate chip as well. And on the weekends...I’d probably say; read, watch fights with my dad, and drink tea with my best friend at a cafe.”
“Every single weekend?”
“Yeah, my dad lives on the other side of the country so we do a FaceTime call and watch UFC together. My roommate has a job that takes up a lot of her time during the week so we go to this small cafe by our house every weekend.”
“Wow.”
(this is where the rest of the interview would be but, for later in the timeline, we aren’t going to cover every question she asks him :))
“Okay, now tell me about your family. Where you grew up, were your parents married, did you have a dog, and how do you think this all helped make you the man you are today?”
“I grew up in New Jersey; my dad left when I was 10. I’m allergic to dogs and cats, so I have a parrot named Gizmo. My mom never remarried and my sister lives with her. My brother and I moved to LA when we were 18, with no money, no job, just hope. We went to a gym and asked them if they’d train us. The next thing I knew, my brother was getting a job working at the gym and becoming one of my trainers. I learned how to fight and used my wrestling experience and worked my way into the UFC.”
“You didn’t answer my last question.”
“Yes, I did.”
“No, you told me how you got started in the UFC. I don’t want to know about that- everyone knows that story already. I want to know how you think the things you went through as a child have shaped you as a person.”
“I- I guess- I don’t know, to be honest. I don’t think much of who I’ve become so that question is hard to answer.”
“Why do you say that? You are one of the most accomplished men in America.”
“To others, but this- I wasn’t supposed to be a fighter. Everyone sees me as accomplished but I just feel like this was an accident. There was no great event in my life that caused me to become an MMA fighter- it just happened.”
“You don’t believe in fate, Mr. Dolan?”
“No, I don’t. Do you, Ms. Taylor?”
“Yes, I believe that we all have a path we are meant to follow and that everything happens for a reason.”
“Why?”
“Because- I don’t know- it’s nicer than the alternative to me, I guess. I don’t want to live in a world where nothing has a reason behind it. We’ll move on to the next question. You don’t disclose personal information; relationships, family, children, etcetera.”
“Where are you going with this?”
“Why is that? Are you afraid?”
“Afraid? Of what?”
“The same reason I said earlier as to why you don’t like interviews; you are scared people will see the real Grayson Dolan and not like you as much or think you’re different.”
“Are you like- a profiler or something? Why do you think that?”
“I’m not a profiler- I’m a journalist. It’s my job to look for clues, pick up on the small things about someone no one else would notice.”
“Ok, I’ll accept that. Is it my turn to ask you questions?”
“No that’s not how this works.”
“You said you wanted this to be like a normal conversation, did you not?”
“Yes, I did say that, but-”
“Okay, well, I don’t know about you but normally when I’m getting to know someone- I get to ask questions just like they do.”
“Fine. What do you want to know?”
“I want to know...if you’ll go out with me?”
“What? Like on a- like on a date?”
“Yes, a date, Ms. Taylor.”
“Uh- I don’t know, maybe, I-”
“30 minutes to the fight, Dolan! Gotta get you warmed-up!”
(the story is back to normal now)
“So?” He questions as he stands up and I try to gather all my stuff. Trying to push down the butterflies while I stop the recording. I just continue to get more flustered, especially when he puts his hand out for me and I shyly take it, he pulls me to my feet and I stare at him through my lashes.
“I- sure. On one condition,” I smile slyly up at him and he raises an eyebrow at me, I ignore the unfamiliar feeling between my thighs at the look on his face and continue quickly, “You have to win this fight. I’ll be in the front row watching. If you win- I’ll go out with you.”
He smiles and then chuckles, “I thought you were going to make it hard? I could win this fight in my sleep baby, I’ll let you know the time after the fight, just stick around, yeah?”
I snort and roll my eyes, ignoring the pull on my heart when he calls me baby, “I’ll be there,” He smiles at me again and I jump a little in surprise when I feel his warm, large hand on the small of my back, he opens the door for me and leads me into the hallway.
I try not to laugh at the face of the Instagram model when she sees Grayson’s hand on me, “I’ll be looking for you in the front row, just so you know.” He teases.
I smile at him and kiss him on the cheek, “I’ll be the one cheering the loudest. Knock Em dead!” I walk away quickly and glance back seeing him standing there, his right hand gently going up to touch the spot I kissed and we both blush. My heart drops into my stomach when he looks over and sees the model. I have to turn the corner and get to my seat so I don’t see how he reacted. He wouldn’t sleep with her right after asking me out, would he? My subconscious snaps back; you barely know the man! Maybe he does this all the time! I push her down and ignore the bad feeling in my gut.
As I sit down in my seat, everything that just happened hits me and I slouch into my seat, what. the. fuck. I’m going on a date with Grayson Dolan! I got an interview with Grayson Dolan! I kissed Grayson Dolan on the cheek! I bite back a smile and take out my phone, taking a video showing me smiling at the camera, then flipping the camera around and showing off how close I am to the octagon. I sent it to my dad quickly.
He responds almost immediately.
*From Daddy: Wow!! So cool! Have tons of fun! Not too much though! Not ready to be a grandpa...yet ;)
I snort and roll my eyes, responding and then turning my phone off when the lights in the arena dim.
*To Daddy: Lmao, shut up. I’ll try to have fun though! The main card is starting! I’ll talk to you later, love you <3
After I watch a few of the fights before Graysons’, I take some pictures and jot down some information about the fights and who won, knowing it’ll add more substance to my piece.
I watch as the whole arena transforms and the whole place is bursting with barely-contained energy and the place goes dark. Suddenly, lights start beaming and music starts playing, I smile at the Kid Cudi (each fight he uses a different Cudi song) choice for tonight- Enter Galactic as it blasts through the speakers everyone goes wild, Grayson moving swiftly to the octagon with his head low and singing the song softly to himself. I can tell he’s not the same Grayson I was talking to, he has flipped the switch- as he told me he does- and is now The Grayson Dolan- UFC Fighter and Champion.
He takes his shirt off and I blush at his tan skin, the rippling muscles making my brain go straight in the gutter. The ‘doc’ pats him down and puts vaseline on his face. I try not to laugh at how weird he looks with his eyebrows slicked down.
He makes his way into the octagon and I see him scanning the front row when his eyes land on mine. I smile at him but he just gives me a curt nod in response before turning away. I’m taken aback by his attitude but I know he has to stay in his fighter mentality.
The other fighter, Dominick Reyes, comes in and he has a good amount of people cheer for him but the majority of the arena boos when he comes out. I know that having some of how this fight goes in my article will make it look better because it’s such a big deal, so I jot some notes down, some about Grayson and some about Reyes.
I subconsciously chew on my nail, scolding myself when I realize what I’m doing. He’s going to win. I tell myself to calm down, I’ve never been to a fight before so the chaotic and anxiety-filled energy around me must be getting to my head.
The ref announces them both, and then they go to the middle, Grayson goes to touch Reyes’ fist, but Reyes pulls back and smirks at Grayson, “C’mon pretty boy,” he sings.
Grayson’s jaw clenches and he starts moving around the octagon, Reyes slowly falling into a pattern of chasing him around. Grayson continues to step to the right until suddenly, he moves to the left, and Reyes doesn’t see it. I watch in astonishment as he puts all of his power into the punch, hitting Reyes perfectly on the temple. Reyes drops to the ground and Grayson’s about to follow him to the mat but the ref stops him, officially calling the fight. Grayson looks over at me, my mouth hanging wide open and he smirks, winking at me.
That asshole just winked at me.
I stand up quickly, cheering loudly with everyone else and he shakes his head, turning back to his team as they run into the octagon to hug him. Once Grayson is done with everything and the crowd starts shuffling out, Grayson comes over to me, “D’you see that?” He smiles and I smile back.
“Yeah, yeah, I saw,” He chuckles and grabs my arm pulling me into him.
I gasp as I hit his hard, sweaty chest, “You’re sweaty,” I scrunch my nose up and try to pull away but he tightens his grip, staring down at me with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“You owe me a date,” He responds and I roll my eyes, ignoring the hammering of my heart at how close we are to each other.
“What time and where?” I say, acting bored.
He chuckles down at me, “I’ll pick you up at 5:30. This Saturday. Just bring your beautiful self and don’t worry about anything else.”
“What’s the dress code?” I raise my eyebrow and he shrugs.
“Whatever you want to wear, although I’ll tell you right now they might frown upon you wearing lingerie or something like that.”
I snort and as he moves away from me a little and we start walking behind his team I realize that I’m a lot colder than I realized, rubbing my arms subconsciously and realizing that I left my sweater in the car damn it.
Grayson notices me rubbing my arms and bumps my shoulder, “You cold?”
“A little. I have a sweater in the car, I’ll be fine.”
He frowns as he opens the door to his dressing(?) room, “I have a jacket you can wear.”
He goes over to a chair in the corner and grabs a big, soft black jacket with DOLAN on the back and the UFC and Reebok logo on the front. I shake my head, “No, r-really it’s- it’s okay,”
“Just take it, you can give it back later, s’not a big deal, I don’t need it. I’m way too hot right now.”
He hands it over to me and I look down at it in his hands and then glance back at him, crossing my arms. He rolls his eyes and comes over to me, putting it on my shoulders and looking down at me, “Just wear it. Please?” He whispers and I flush, seeing that if I moved too fast our lips would be touching.
I nod softly and he steps back. I take a deep breath and put my arms through the sleeves and the jacket immediately warms me. I relax into the warmth and pull it tighter around me and he smirks, “Like you in my clothes.”
I blush and look down, “I- I should be goi-going,” I point my thumb at the door and he bites back a smile.
“Yeah, I’ll see you Saturday then?”
I nod and stutter out a response as I walk back to the door, “Y-yep! 5:30! Wait- I didn’t give you my address o-or my phone num-Ow!” I yelp in surprise when the door handle digs into my lower back and he can’t hold back his laugh as he walks over to me, trapping me between him and the door.
I swallow at his large frame covering me up, his arms resting on each side of the wall by my head, I can see his large biceps and the veins running up his arms in my peripheral vision. He smirks and leans down, “Check your pocket,” he says softly and I look up at him with furrowed brows.
I slowly move my hands to the jacket pockets and after digging around a little I feel a small piece of paper in the right pocket. I pull it out and open it up. I glance up at him in surprise at the digits scribbled onto the paper.
“H-How did you- why-” He cuts me off by moving away from me, my body on fire from how close he had been to me.
I move off the door when he motions for me to move and he opens the door, “Ms. Taylor,” He says, trying to hide a smirk.
I scoff incredulously and walk past him, stopping outside the door in the cold hallway, I turn back to look at him before I walk away to go have a panic attack in my car, “Mr. Dolan.”
A/n: okayyy so I know it’s bad and I’ll be editing it soon but I’m posting this on an ipad lmfao so please cut me some slack.

did i proofread? hell no lmao. this is my first time writing for bts tho!! enjoy!!
To say Jungkook had changed was an understatement.
You could safely say this because you knew Jungkook, despite the times you wished you didn’t. You knew him, because he’d been attached to your older brother’s hip for as long as you could remember, present at nearly every milestone event of your childhood. He and Taehyung had become inseparable since the moment you’d first moved next door to Jungkook, their days spent playing video games after school, running around the backyard, and begging your parents to let them build a conjoined ‘Boys Only’ tree house.
Yours, on the other hand, were spent inside, too shy to go outside and talk to your brother’s friend, even if he was only two years older than you. You were, in every aspect, the shy baby sister who played inside and hid behind her mom’s leg whenever the boys’ tummies called them back inside for snacks.
It wasn’t that Jungkook was mean or anything. No, he was at least two times better than your own brother. On days your mother had urged you to go out and play, he’d let you play with his scooter around the driveway, because he knew you hated playing football with him and Tae, the both of them too rough. He was a sweet kid, from what you could remember, and you’d never once came to dislike him during those warm, honeyed days of your childhood.
The bulk of what you knew of Jungkook came mostly from your teenage years, when you’d finally grown out of your shyness. Though he’d had an awkward growth spurt that led him to be the tallest freshman in his class for a short while, he was still the polite boy who everyone’s mother loved. His after school visits were not as often, both him and Tae consumed by their love for football. Their practices were grueling, and sometimes, they wouldn’t return home until well into the evening, their clothes soiled and smelly from all the hours they put in on the field.
Jungkook was a junior by the time you started your freshman year, his prepubescent body finally working in his favor. He’d suddenly become more firm and defined, and you remembered the way his mother had scolded him when he’d pierced his right ear without permission. He’d become undeniably cute, but you always had kept that thought to yourself, lest you want the wrath of Taehyung’s overprotectiveness brought down on you.
But he was still as supportive as he’d always been, wishing you good luck when both he and Taehyung had dropped you off for freshman orientation, a sweet smile adorning his face. It was Jungkook who had initially encouraged you to join the dance team, to which Taehyung had then insisted upon. (You’re pretty sure he just wanted you to join so he wouldn’t have to drive you home before the start of his practice everyday.)
You remembered so vividly how he’d driven you and your brother to and from school every day of the first semester, his hands veiny as they’d gripped the wheel of his dad’s car; you’ve never been able to look at a steering wheel the same way again. While your brother had preferred to scroll through his phone, Jungkook had liked conversing with you, head occasionally turning so you could catch glances of his side profile. During winter break, Taehyung finally got a license of his own, and those quiet mornings with Jungkook came to a stop.
You saw him less after the first semester as you became consumed in your own school life, because, though the football season had ended, the dance team performed all throughout the winter basketball season as well. You came home late, often hitching rides from your older friends back home. They’d always been eager to drop you off, always desperate to catch sight of Jungkook or your brother coming out to receive you. The one day Jungkook did let you into the house, your cheeks had been tainted red from the cold. It masked your own adoration as he’d pulled open the door, his hair fluffy and soft, his usually broad body snuggly enveloped by a soft sweater.
By the beginning of Taehyung’s senior year, both he and Jungkook had become transfixed with teaching you how to drive. At night, you’d run a few circles in the grocery’s empty parking lot, their instructions overwhelming as they shouted to be heard over each other. It was ultimately Jungkook who’d taken up the sole duty of instructing you, his voice soft and calm against your ear as he leaned in from the backseat, arm occasionally coming into your line of vision.
His and Taehyung’s senior night had been ridiculously teary, both of them grasping onto each other as the final whistle of their last high school football game rang through the crisp October air. Your parents had been preoccupied with taking pictures of Tae to upload onto Facebook, and you’d almost wandered back to the car in boredom, had Jungkook not swept you into a hug and gushed profusely, the adrenaline from the game and his happiness making him stumble over his words. He’d been smelly and sticky, his shoulder pads pressing into you in a mildly uncomfortable way, but you’d be an idiot to pull out of his embrace.
It was during their graduation that you finally came to terms with your crush on Jungkook, your brother’s best friend in the entire universe.
As they’d filed out of the auditorium, your eyes had been locked on Jungkook’s broad shoulders, nicely fitted by the gown they all wore, a sharp pang striking your chest. He was eighteen then, so bright and excited for college, and you knew you could never tell him how much he meant to you. You couldn’t tell him, not because it’d make things weird, but because Jungkook was so caring and generous that he would spend all his time worrying about little sixteen year-old you.
He was such a genuine person, that you knew bestowing such news on him would only hinder his success as he moved onto the next stage of his life; so worried he’d be about you that he might even reconsider going to dorm out of state. You never wanted anything more than for Jungkook to be happy, and if it meant suppressing the feelings you’d felt for more than ten years, so be it.
They would go away, you were sure, but Jungkook’s troubles for you would not. So you’d brushed them aside in favor of watching him blossom into the professional gentleman you knew he was destined to become.
Which is what leaves you undoubtedly confused by his appearance at your graduation.
“I- thanks?” You say, taking the sopping wet bouquet out of his grasp, holding it as far as possible from your crisp graduation gown. The tassel you’d just turned brushes against your cheek as you level Jungkook with a confused once-over. He’s out of breath, for some reason, the strands of hair he’d brushed backwards slowly curling forwards to brush the tip of his eyebrows.
He draws to his full height, leveling you with an unusual smirk. “Don’t mention it, kid,” he brushes off, playfully punching your arm. You guess he isn’t aware of his own brutish strength, hiding beneath that tight button-down, because you end up flinching after the hit, not that he notices. You push the flowers off onto your mom, who seems pretty preoccupied making sure the pictures she’d taken of you came out okay. Your dad is nowhere to be found, probably back in the cafeteria scarfing down the snacks that had been set out for people wishing to mingle after the ceremony.
You’re thrown for another loop when Taehyung’s arm is thrown around your shoulders, knocking your cap off your head. He very narrowly catches it, twirling it in his palm as he beams in your face. “I can’t believe it,” he cries, “my baby sister, finally being released from prison!” He wipes an imaginary tear off his face, and you would have been more invested in his dramatics had you not been so enthralled by the sight of Jungkook.
Admittedly, it’s been a while since you last saw him. He and Taehyung rarely visited, only on the mandatory holidays, before driving the five hours back to their college to never be seen or heard from until the next holiday. The last time you’d even seen Taehyung was during winter break, because he and Jungkook had decided to travel out of the country for spring break instead of coming home.
The extended absence is probably why you’re so confused as you stare at Jungkook now, his appearance nothing like the young man that had worn this exact same cap and gown two years ago. You’re not sure if his life has genuinely transformed into a mess, or if he’d just been rushed to come to your graduation. Either way, his appearance is getting quite the attention from those around you. He’d forgone an under shirt, despite the translucence of his formal button-down, and when you squint hard enough, there’s definitely a tattoo on his clavicle, and another one nestled beneath the swell of his pecto–you quickly look away.
“When did you guys get here?” You ask, scanning over the sea of gowns in an attempt to distract yourself from Jungkook’s godly appearance. Part of you is touched that Jungkook really has been there for every milestone in your life. The other part wishes he hadn’t shown up looking so ridiculously sexy.
“Tae wanted to get here earlier so we could take pictures, but we had to stop by and get some flowers, and the only ones you liked were in the middle of getting water,” Jungkook supplies, unaware of your attempts to push him to the back of your mind. “And then we got stuck in traffic, and ended up getting dressed in the car,” he sighs, hands shoved into the depths of his wrinkled slacks.
“Must’ve been quite the show,” you offhandedly reply, and have to will your face to remain as stoic as possible when he raises an eyebrow at you, a teasing smirk adorning his features. “Look, we’re gonna go eat at the nice Italian place downtown,” you say instead, turning your gaze back to Taehyung. “You guys are welcome to come, but I don’t know if we reserved enough seats.”
Taehyung snorts, and you’d pull away had he not currently held a vice grip on your shoulders. “Fuck that plan,” he scoffs, and your mom whacks his arm. “So here’s what we’re really going to do,” he says, pulling Jungkook in so the three of you are awkwardly huddled in the midst of the all graduates and their families. At the sudden movement, Jungkook’s arm brushes up your own, your heads nearly knocking into each other. “Dad said I can take you out to celebrate you finally being an adult, and since it’s officially the beginning of summer, there’s a huge party on the south side of town.” He says, and the fact he knows what’s going on in his hometown, despite only being home for all of two hours, lets you know this was premeditated.
“I’m sorry, we’re doing what?” You finally gather the balls to look Jungkook in the eye again, and by the shrug he gives you (still with that stupid grin on his face), you at least know this was a Taehyung original scheme. You’re grateful he hadn’t roped Jungkook in yet, because if he’d proposed this idea, you’d agree in a second.
You forget Jungkook and Taehyung work through a telepathically connected system, and one shared glance between the two has Jungkook immediately taking your brother’s side. “C’mon, that’d be fun wouldn’t it?” His voice is deep and raspy in all the right places, and you purse your lips together as you grapple for some excuse. You can’t say your parents are against it, because, according to Tae, your dad had approved of this plan–sort of.
“Think of it this way,” Jungkook pulls you out of your thoughts, “it’d be better to go to your first real party with your brother!” You groan, and Taehyung beams at Jungkook’s terrible point.
“This is a horrible idea,” you whine, snapping out of your childish antics when one of your friends brushes by you, throwing a soft goodbye over your shoulder. Briefly, Taehyung lets a low whistle leave his lips, to which you shove an elbow into his ribs. “Look, I appreciate the offer, but I really just want to eat some food and go to sleep,” you calmly state.
Taehyung groans so hard and loud, it nearly sounds like a scream. Your huddle breaks at that, and you readjust your gown. You wonder if you’d imagined the way Jungkook’s eyes flickered towards your exposed neck, the off the shoulder dress you’re wearing making it seem as if the graduation gown was the only thing you had on. “You’re so boring, ___!” Taehyung complains. You refrain from rubbing your temples, because the makeup you’d worn tonight had taken quite some time.
The only thing that calms you down is the way Jungkook slowly wraps his fingers around your wrist, pulling your diploma from your hand. “Oh, right,” he says, eyes glinting, “forgot you were a goody-two-shoes.”
You can’t really say no then. Not only was your pride at stake now, but the way Jungkook’s eyes had traced around the dainty necklace resting between your collarbones had been too inviting.
“Have you seen my brother?” You screech into Jungkook’s ear, your voice drowned out by the loud thump of the bass. Jungkook squints, as if that somehow helps him hear better, and motions for you to repeat it. You groan, and try again. You’re not sure if Jungkook shrugs because he hasn’t seen Taehyung, or because he didn’t hear for the second time.
You’re a real idiot for letting some pretty brown eyes rope you into the craziest night of your life. Through the course of the evening, you’ve managed to see your brother–your own brother, the one who’d cried when Simba’s dad died–jump off the balcony of someone’s house and into a trampoline on the yard below, someone snort a line of crack off a guy’s dick, someone else completely wipe out while dancing on the bar, and Jungkook successfully swindle four hundred dollars out of some drunk billiards players. Suffice to say, you were ready to go home and knock out in the comfort of your bed.
It didn’t help that Taehyung had been adamant that you drink as much alcohol as you could, occasionally brushing by to thrust another mysterious liquid into your palms. You shouldn’t be as cautious of the drinks considering your brother made them, but then again, your brother made them.
The fact you’d had to watch Jungkook grind with multiple women on the dance floor for a solid fifteen minutes while Taehyung made you play beer pong with him, was another matter for another day.
You sighed, glancing around to see if you could catch sight of Taehyung’s ridiculously bright head of hair. Probably the biggest mistake you’d made that night was putting Tae in charge of the car keys.
You’re pulled out of your worries when Jungkook taps your arm. You raise your brows at him, and he motions for you to lean closer, which you hesitate to.
Truthfully, he looks absolutely godly sitting on that bar stool, legs deliciously spread out for you to slot yourself in between. Somewhere along the line, he’d began unbuttoning his shirt to relieve some of his body’s heat; he was three buttons down now, and the flat part of his chest, right between where his pecs met, glistened with sweat.
As if sensing your hesitation, he hits you with another one of those sweet smiles he’d been dropping all night, though with the more alcohol he consumes, the more they start to look like those devious little smirks now. You acquiesce, leaning forward so that his lips hover dangerously close to your ear.
What you’re not expecting is the palm that spreads itself on the small of your back, pulling you closer between his legs. Your breath catches in your throat, your arms automatically shooting out to rest on his shoulders. “You okay?” He huffs, hot breath fanning over your ear and neck. He pulls away, brown eyes wide as he inspects your appearance. You nod, distantly aware of the trembling of your hands. Jungkook smiles.
“Don’t be so scared,” he laughs, and all you can do is nod again. His hand shifts, gliding around until it rests on your waist. “Don’t be so uptight,” he teases, fingers gently pressing into your skin in an effort to loosen you up. If anything, it makes you even more tense.
He leans away, ducking down to catch your gaze as you struggle to contain the warmth on your face. When you finally meet his eyes, he seems almost devilish as his eyes trace over your face, briefly flickering somewhere behind you. “Don’t be such a fucking prude,” he cackles, and points over your shoulder.
You turn your body, only to catch sight of girls falling over each other on the dance floor as they shake every body part possible. Truthfully, you wish you had the balls to move like that, be as open as them. In another life, you’re as fun and as wild as them, but in this one you’re still a reserved little girl, a trait you’re certain Jungkook has picked up on by now.
“I don’t know how to dance like that,” you awkwardly admit, looking away from him the second the words leave your mouth. You don’t let this vulnerable moment last long, quickly screwing your lips up to spit out another excuse that will somehow redeem your image. “And, Taehyung gets too overprotective if I dance with guys anyway!”
It’s only a half lie. Though Taehyung is in every sense the protective older brother, he knows you’re smart enough to make your own decisions.
Jungkook knows this as well as you do.
“Bullshit,” he smirks, and sets his cup somewhere behind him. You bite your lip, brain racking for any other lie you can throw at him to protect your ego.
Jungkook doesn’t let you dwell on it for long, abruptly standing up. You don’t move away fast enough, and end up pressed against the hard plains of his body. “C’mon,” he says, gesturing towards the dance floor with a nod of his head. “I’ll teach you.”
You don’t get your protest in on time before Jungkook’s tugging you towards where the majority of the party is concentrated. You stumble between dancing friends and couples, and for a moment you think you’ve spotted Taehyung to save you, but it’s just another person with annoyingly bright red hair. Your options are cut short when you bump into Jungkook’s shoulder, and he turns to face you.
He looks disgustingly handsome here, the obnoxious strobe lights casting colorful shapes across his features. “Follow my lead,” he mouths (or you presume he does), moving to knot your arms around his neck.
His hips move, and for a moment, your feet become ice blocks, struggling to move with him. You’re too entranced by the roll of his hips, the way his narrow waist moves back and forth. His hands find their home on your hips, gently encouraging you to move with the beat.
After you’ve regained your wits, you begin following Jungkook’s lead, letting your hips swing from side to side until they’ve synced with his. You chance a glance up at his face, before snapping it back to his body. It’s a thousand times easier to watch the rolls of his body than meet the heated gaze he’s leveling you with.
A few songs pass, your bodies moving in the same beat, until suddenly, the DJ hits you with the annoying air horns, transitioning into an even raunchier, slow song, if that’s possible. Immediately, everyone around you changes their pace, and you struggle to do the same, body awkwardly knocking into the people around you.
Somehow, Jungkook both saves and endangers you.
The easiest way to get you to sync up with him while also pulling you out of harm’s way is, apparently, whirling you around to press your back against his chest. A gasp catches in your throat at the sudden physical contact, the hair at the nape of your neck sticking to your skin.
“Relax,” he laughs against your ear, hips slowly rocking back and forth, encouraging you to pick up the same pace. You do, your face finally taking on all the emotions you couldn’t when you were facing him. His hands rest on your hips still, though this time they pull you closer with each beat of the music.
His hand slowly curls around your body, resting over your belly button, his pinky dangerously brushing lower to where an unusual ball of heat has begun to form inside of you. You jolt, pushing back onto him. A soft puff of air brushes against your ear at the movement, Jungkook’s hands twitching on your body.
You’re suddenly aware of a particular nudge against the curve of your ass.
“Oh,” you breathe, your voice too loud for the soft RnB tune drifting through the speakers.
“Oh?” Jungkook repeats, voice husky, and you can imagine the smirk that tugs at his lips. He pulls you closer, and you feel it again: the soft brush of his dick, slowly hardening because of you. He nudges your head aside, pressing his mouth to your ear. “You like that?”
You’re paralyzed, hips unconsciously swaying with the music as the intense heat begins curling between your legs. You must’ve nodded, because Jungkook chuckles as he continues the motions, slowly grinding into you the same way you’d watched him do to other girls that same night.
After a particularly nice move, your hand grapples for his hair, tugging him closer as your head lolls backwards to rest against his shoulder. He presses a kiss to your neck, and you nearly ascend into another plane, the sensation so heavenly.
“Look at you,” Jungkook purrs, rocking you back and forth between all the other grinding bodies. “Miss Goody-Two-Shoes does know how to dance,” he teases, pressing kisses along your jawline, a gasp escaping your throat. Your legs wobble, and you would have fallen if Jungkook’s arms hadn’t been wrapped around you.
“K-Kookie,” you whine, quivering with every press of his lips against your hot skin.
He quietly scoffs at the name, shushing you with more kisses. “Fuck,” he groans when you rock back into him again. “Tae always said you were off limits but,” he pauses, his hands briefly sliding over your pelvis, relishing in the moan that slips past your lips. “He didn’t tell me you’d gotten so pretty.”
Your cheeks burn even hotter at the compliment, head hanging in a sudden stroke of embarrassment. Jungkook presses a smile against the side of your neck. “Don’t get shy on me now, angel,” he croons as he stops swaying the two of you back and forth.
His hands glide off your body to enclose your palms with his, raising them up to catch your attention. You’re met with that playboy smirk of his as he leans down to kiss your cheek. He raises an eyebrow, gesturing towards the stairs you’d seen countless couples go up throughout the night.
You’ve barely stumbled off the dancing area when you’re suddenly attacked by a fiery drunkard, who immediately nestles his way between the two of you. “I was looking all over for you guys!” Taehyung slurs, hanging off your side.
“That’s nice, Tae,” Jungkook grunts, trying to peel him away from the two of you in the subtlest way possible. Despite his obvious tipsy state, his hawk-like instincts kick in anyway, eyeing the way Jungkook tries to move towards you.
There’s a heavy pause then, the both of them staring each other down. They’re probably having another one of those telepathic conversations right now, and you’re static between the two of them. Eventually, Taehyung backs down, though his jaw twitches as he spares you one last glance, before sauntering off to enjoy himself once more.
You can more or less guess what it’s about.
Jungkook doesn’t waste any time, tugging you up the stairs and into a dark hallway with doors on both sides. You vaguely recognize the door Taehyung had stumbled through earlier in the night before he’d performed his balcony stunt, but you don't dwell on in too much before Jungkook’s pushing you through another open door.
It’s someone’s bedroom, obviously, and you feel some sort of guilt for all the people that have probably run through this person’s belongings during the course of the night. Apparently, Jungkook’s hidden talent is distracting you in a moment’s notice, his mouth suddenly sealed to yours, not even bothering to flick the lights on. The stranger’s bedroom slips to the back of your mind.
In all the fantasies you’ve had of Jungkook, none of them went quite like this. They were always more romantic, filled with tearful confessions and lingering gazes, the Jungkook in your head so soft and shy, too hesitant to touch you, let alone kiss you.
You’re not sure where the younger you got these ideas from, because the real Jungkook is nothing alike. His mouth is hot when he slots it against yours, harshly biting down on your lip until you’re crying out. He doesn’t feel (or at least show) an ounce of sympathy before he’s shoving his tongue down your throat.
You choke, momentarily flinching away in surprise. You catch sight of the hungry glare of his gaze, before he’s diving in again. You’re more prepared the second time around, fingers hesitantly wrapping around his neck as he licks into your mouth. He’s cornered you against the desk in the room, your ass pressing against the edge, and he uses it to his advantage, lifting you to rest on top.
He glances at your swollen lips, beaming at the sight. “Gonna fuck you so good, angel,” he says, nudging your legs open to squeeze between them. You tremble at his words.
He’s kissing down your neck, tongue laving over the skin only to bite you, when things take a turn. “You clean?” He murmurs, a little preoccupied with his work on your neck.
You pause. “I- Yes?”
Jungkook stills immediately, pressing one final chaste kiss to your skin before leveling you with a confused furrow of his brows. “You sure?” You flounder, totally unsure. Jungkook’s lips twist into a frown. His hands are still wrapped around the sides of your thighs, but you don’t miss the way he subtly shifts away from you. You nod, but you suspect Jungkook doesn’t believe you.
He sighs. “Look, I didn't bring a condom, and if you’re not clean, then I don’t really want to...” he trails off, awkwardly glancing out the window to his left, people crowding the backyard. You’re not entirely sure why, but the mood feels wrong all of a sudden.
“I-” you start, and cut off when he levels you with that intense stare of his. “I’m not sure... what you mean,” you admit, so incredibly nervous as you watch him work his lower lip between his teeth.
“What?” He says in disbelief, and your eyes widen at the disappointment in his voice. “You clean or not?” Your mouth opens and closes for a few minutes, before you ultimately settle on a one-shouldered shrug.
Jungkook’s eyes roll into the back of his head, his jaw twitching. “How do you not know?” He interrogates, and your cheeks flush in shame. “Have you fucked someone that might’ve been,” he waves a hand around, gesturing about something, “y’know?”
You shake your head. “I... I’ve never had sex,” you admit.
The air seems to be sucked out of the room at your confession, Jungkook’s annoyed expression slowly melting away. Stuck in a vacuum, you can hear the hard thumps your heart gives from its position lodged inside your throat.
You hear the party downstairs and outside continue in full swing, and, when you focus your ears enough, can hear the muffled moans coming from the room next door. Your ears burn, and you hastily begin apologizing to Jungkook, ready to brush him away, when he surges forward to connect your mouths for the third time that night.
He bites your lower lip hard, your cry swallowed by his lips as he begins kissing you with a passion you’ve never felt from any other kisses before. When he pulls away with a lewd smack of your lips, you’re panting for breath, chest rising and falling with every movement. His eyes momentarily flicker to the swell of your breasts.
He ducks down, one hand gliding up the center of your body to urge you to lean back, your arms barely catching the edge of the desk in time. “Holy fuck,” he breathes against your chest, pressing one brief kiss to the top of your breast. “You really are a little angel, aren’t you?”
You gasp when a hand tugs your legs open as much as your dress allows, slipping between your spread thighs to run a finger up your throbbing core. Your thighs tremble at the sudden touch, a moan ripping itself out of your throat. “So pretty,” Jungkook praises, slowly sinking to the floor between your legs.
The sight of his black tuft of hair between your legs makes your toes curl.
“What’s a good girl like you wearing these panties for?” Jungkook murmurs, his hands pushing the hem of your dress as far up as it’ll go to expose the little number you’d pulled out of your closet that day. It was the only seamless underwear you could wear with this dress, and had picked it carelessly because you’d been planning on going home right after your graduation anyway. But, y’know.
“I needed it for the dress,” you answer, your voice uncharacteristically dainty as you stare him down.
Jungkook loops his fingers around the sides, eyes meeting yours as he slowly pulls it down your legs, fingers trailing over your calf muscles. Once he’s tugged your feet out of it, he doesn’t hesitate to bring it up to where you can both see it, inspecting the crotch area. You’re mortified to see the way it glistens.
You hadn’t been aware how wet you’d become until then, Jungkook’s head tilting to the side as he stared down the offending article. Your humiliation only increases when he brings it to his nose, and takes one long whiff of it.
His eyes flutter shut, and he moans on the exhale. “You smell delicious,” he sighs, and takes one more glance at your panties before carelessly tossing the pair over his shoulder. Your mouth is agape, unsure of how to feel at such an action. Jungkook doesn’t seem to notice, turning his attention back to your exposed pussy. “I bet you taste even better.”
You don’t get to properly process his statement before he’s burying his mouth between your thighs, sucking your clit between his lips. You cry out in pleasure right away, back arching as he swirls your bud around his tongue, eyes watching your every expression. Your hands wildly search for something to hold onto, before settling on the edge of the desk and his hair.
“J-Jungkook,” you moan, biting your bottom lip as you try to suppress any more embarrassing sounds. He hums, the sound sending vibrations through your clit and up your spine.
While you’re distracted by the ministrations of his tongue, he trails his fingers down your slit, grinning when you finally register the touch with a sharp gasp. He pulls off your bud with a pop, leaning back to stare at your virgin hole as he swirls his fingers around it.
“You touch yourself, angel?” He questions, pressing a soft kiss to your thigh, finger gently probing against your opening. When you don’t answer, he bites the soft inside of your thigh, the way you tremble a sight for his eyes. “Answer me.”
Your eyes feel heavy, lips quivering as you watch him become entranced with your cunt. “Sometimes,” you admit, shame building in your chest at the wicked grin he sends your way.
Jungkook pushes the tip of his finger in, pausing as your body spasms to adjust. “You’ve touched this pretty little pussy?” He asks, accepting the hurried nod you give him as an answer. “What do you think about, angel?”
He pushes his finger in halfway, and you moan, your body clenching around the unusual feeling. While you might’ve had your own fingers stuffed inside of you before, they were nothing like Jungkook’s thick and long digit, testing out how much he could curl it so far. “Y-You,” you confess, raising your fist to your mouth to bite down on it.
“Oh?” Jungkook murmurs, eyebrows raising at the confession. He leans down, pressing a tender kiss to your clit again. If he’s surprised, he doesn’t let it show. “Do you think of me fucking you? Bending you over your bed while our parents are talking in the driveway outside?” He proposes, tongue slipping out to tease at your clit as he slowly pushes his finger the rest of the way in. “Or do you think of sitting on my cock during one of my and Tae’s sleepovers, angel? You’d like that, wouldn’t you? Getting yourself off while everyone else is asleep,” he croons, and you yelp when he shoves the second finger in, not even bothering to go slowly. “Sounds nice, doesn’t it, angel?”
You whimper, mind clouded by all the possibilities he’d stuffed into your head. Until then, they’d all been fantasies, little snippets that would drift into your consciousness every now and then, ones you’d push away in a haste, never letting them rile you up for too long.
It seemed impossible to apply that same mentality now, with Jungkook’s tongue flicking over your clit lazily, mocha irises drifting up to meet yours. You nibble your bottom lip, nails digging into the grainy underside of the desk as you watch that disgustingly arrogant smirk cross his features again.
His fingers twist and bend inside of you. Immediately, your mouth drops open, whole body tingling as his shoves his two fingers deeper inside, until his knuckles are brushing the delicate lips of your pussy. Instinctively, your legs try to clamp around him, to which he halts you by pressing his hand down on your hip.
You cry out after a particularly brutal scissor of his fingers, which Jungkook apparently deems as a sign of you being fully prepared, slipping his fingers out of you. He presses one final kiss to your hip bone and rises to his feet again. His ares are fixed on your exposed pussy for a second, before he glances back at you.
“So you really are a virgin, huh?” He murmurs, rubbing one palm soothingly over your hip. He brings the hand that had been buried inside of you up to his mouth, sucking your juices off his fingers with a pleasured groan. “Fuck, you taste good,” he sighs, cheeks hollowed around his fingers.
You seem to be caught in a trance as you watch him, plush pink lips wrapped around the long expanse of his fingers. They’re glistening, both from your own wetness and his saliva. He pulls his fingers out, the sound lewd in every sense of the word, and brings them up to your mouth instead. “Taste,” he urges, leaning in close, “you’re so sweet, angel,” he purrs, pushing his digits into your mouth until your tongue is forced to lick around them.
It’s an odd feeling to taste yourself, but you can’t really complain, not when Jungkook seems hypnotized by the sight of you. So you make the best out of it, twirling your tongue around his fingers until he’s deemed it enough, and yanks them out of your mouth with a ragged breath.
“Gonna fuck you now,” he tells you, unbuckling his belt. You’ve been vaguely aware of the erection straining inside his pants since you first walked into the room, but it’d honestly slipped to the back of your mind, overshadowed by other matters.
Now, you’ve seen your fair share of dicks, the majority, if not all, in the form of unsolicited snapchats from fuckboys at your school. But Jungkook was older than them, and thus probably had more experience and expertise with how to present his dick in a way that didn’t make girls go ewww.
He doesn’t make it much of a show, doesn’t even bother taking his pants or briefs off. Instead, he tugs his hard cock out of its confines, and a moan catches in your throat despite the simplicity of the big reveal. His dick is thick, and long, longer than your entire hand at least. After giving it a few harsh pulls, he gets impossibly bigger.
He must’ve sensed your fascination with it, because he doesn’t hesitate to bring your significantly smaller palm closer to him. “C’mon,” he teases, closing your fingers with his own, “don’t be scared.”
You play with him a little bit, shaky fingers tracing over the vein that decorates the side of his cock. You run the tip of your index finger down the slit at the head of his cock, and watch as a little white pearl of pre-cum slowly dribbles out onto your fingers, Jungkook groaning softly into your ear. He watches you spread his own self-made lube around his member, and groans, “I’m gonna fucking ruin you, my little angel.”
After you’re done examining your first ever dick, Jungkook wraps one arm around your waist, pulling you impossibly closer. Your legs dangle off the side of the desk still, the blood flow barely reaching your toes now. Jungkook grasps the base of his cock in one hand, tracing the rosy head around the tight ring of muscle leading into your soaking cunt.
You cry out, wrapping one hand around him. The positioning feels all wrong; you feel too far away, the desk stiff underneath you. You whine, trying to tug him closer but your entire body still feels weak from the way his tongue had caressed you earlier, and you end up a huffy, pouty mess in his arms.
Jungkook chuckles, pressing a kiss to the corner of your lips. He slides his hands beneath your thighs, before fully sheathing himself inside of you. You scream, your back arching in pain that slowly melts away into the beginnings of pleasure. “J-Jungk-”
“Shh,” he says, pressing kisses all along your jawline. In an ultimate display of strength, he hauls you off the desk, cock still fully inside of you, as he walks you over to the window, satisfying the part of you that was desperate to be closer to him. You feel the cold press of the glass against your shoulders before you can protest, and for a moment, the idea of everyone below you watching Jungkook defile you sparks a growing sense of shame in your chest, even though the room is dark and there’s no way they could possibly see you–right?
Jungkook doesn’t let you dwell in these dark thoughts for long, before he’s slowly moving his hips, pulling his cock out and slamming back into you. “All these people,” he huffs, setting the pace for the fucking you’re about to get right then and there. His hips slowly gain speed, transitioning from slow and shallow thrusts to rapid ones that almost hurt, had his dick not been rubbing against your swollen clit with each movement. “They’re all gonna watch you, angel,” he purrs, laving his tongue over the side of your neck, before biting down.
“P-Please,” you whimper, fingers digging into his shoulders as your body becomes used to the feeling of Jungkook inside of you. You’re still embarrassed, but the more Jungkook talks, the more excited you get about someone actually seeing you. It’s a kink you never thought you’d have, getting off on others watching you, yet here you are. “Faster, Kookie,” you beg, his childhood nickname absentmindedly rolling off your lips.
Jungkook jolts at the name, his hips stilling mid thrust. For a moment, you’re scared he came to his senses, realizing how absolutely wrong it was for him to be fucking you, his best friend’s little sister, against a window where everyone could see. But the thought seems to be only in your mind, as Jungkook suddenly resumes his actions.
“Fuck, angel,” he grunts, snapping his hips with even more fervor. “You’re gonna be the death of me,” he laughs, though it’s choked and raspy, unlike the laughter that you’d been hearing all night. His hands, which had both been firmly clamped onto your hips to hold you against the window sill, leave. One slams down on the glass beside your head, while the other moves to grab the back of your thigh, hitching your leg up higher.
The adjustment has him hitting an entirely new angle within you, and you nearly sob when the tip of his dick brushes your cervix. “K-Kookie!” you cry, every nerve in your body tingling.
Jungkook presses a bruising kiss to your lips, swallowing every little noise you make. “You’re still gonna–fuck,” he curses, after a particularly harsh thrust that leaves him slowly grinding his hips against you for a second. “Still gonna call me that– stupid fucking name?” He chokes out, rutting into you with an inhumane pace, teeth clenching as he watches his own cock plunge into the depths of your achingly warm hole.
You moan, fingers digging into his shoulders as he continues his thrusts, never stopping to let you watch your breath. The heat building inside your core is brimming, so close to exploding already that you become desperate for more. “More,” you beg, “pl-please.”
“Say it,” he spits, letting go of the window to grasp your hip again, his grip so tight it’ll probably leave bruises tomorrow morning. “Say it again,” he taunts, finally bottoming out inside of you, holding your hips as he slowly grinds his hips into you.
“I-I don’t underst–”
“Bullshit,” he growls, pressing his forehead against yours. Your chest heaves, desperate for air as he continues slamming into you with a ridiculous strength. “Just do it, ___,” he demands. “Call me that childish name while my cock’s stuffed so deep inside you, you can barely breathe,” he huffs, and the strings of your arousal slowly begin pulling undone, your body so close to it’s breaking point as he continues thrusting. “Does that get you going? Thinking about all the times we could’ve done this before.”
You whine, your body beginning to feel like gelatin, as you shake your head. “Did you think about me fucking you when I was your math tutor? Or how I could’ve bent you over the backseat of my dad’s old car? Or maybe you fantasized about how it’d feel after one of my games?” You wail, and a cocky smirk crosses his features. “Ohhh, so you got off on that one, huh? Did you imagine riding me inside the locker rooms while poor Taehyung waited for us in the parking lot? I always knew you weren’t really a good little girl, ___. Maybe you aren’t an angel after all, hm?” You shake your head no, tears and moans escaping your lips, your body finally giving out on you, your thighs quivering around him as your body spasms, overcome with your orgasm.
You feel your own cum slowly drip down the back of your thighs, body slumping back against the window as Jungkook continues fucking into you like an animal in heat. Dazedly, you trace a hand over the side of his face, murmuring a soft, “Kookie.”
Jungkook moans as your sensitive pussy throbs around him, unintentionally clenching around him. The drag must feel nice, because his thrusts become wild and off tempo, until he’s ramming into you sporadically, desperate for his own release.
It comes a few moments later, with a few soft caresses to his face, and sweet pecks to lips. He busts inside of you, his hips meeting yours one last time, before his mouth goes slack against yours, and you feel his semen paint your walls. You whine at the feeling, body jolting.
Jungkook doesn’t hesitate to haul you off the window sill, carefully dropping you down the perfectly untouched mattress, before falling down after you. All is calm for a few moments, the only sounds registering in your brain the harsh breathing of both you and Jungkook, and the slowing beat of your heart.
After a while, everything else begins filtering in; the loud thumping of the bass downstairs, the hoots and hollers of the partygoers (Taehyung’s are probably mixed in), and the general ruckus that comes from having so many youths gathered in one place.
It hits you then, and you’re quick to tug your dress back down over your ass, despite the cum dripping out of your pussy. Jungkook startles at your sudden movement, moving at the pace of a literal sloth as he tries to calm your nerves and persuade you to lay back down. His dick is limp and shiny with cum now, which not only makes it less sexy, but also is a stark reminder of what you just did with your older brother’s best friend.
“Hey, hey, it’s alright,” he soothes, tucking his penis back into his pants as if sensing your growing anxiety. He seems nothing like the Jungkook who’d just fucked your brains out, but more like the Jungkook from your childhood. You’re not sure which one is worse.
“Taehyung’s gonna hate us,” you cry, hopelessly trying to reign in the tears that threaten to spill over your waterline. Jungkook pulls you into his chest, your hands immediately flying to ball his shirt beneath your palms.
Jungkook presses a kiss to the crown of your head, and you’re not sure if your heart skips because of that or because you’re crying. “Calm down, angel,” he murmurs, running his fingers down your spine. Before you can get in a protest about how you can’t possibly be calm in this situation, Jungkook beats you to it. “Tae already knew I was gonna make a move on you tonight, there’s nothing to worry about,” he hums, and your body stills.
You pull out of his embrace to fix him with a confused, wide-eyed stare. “What do you mean Taehyung already knew?!” He’d been trying to ease your nerves, but if anything, made them worse.
Jungkook sighs, “for a smart girl, you’re pretty stupid sometimes.”
Your watery eyes narrow dangerously at him, and Jungkook is quick to come to his own defense. “I’m sorry! It’s just,” he worries his bottom lip between his teeth, and even though the room is still shrouded in darkness, you get the feeling he’s blushing. When he finally glances back, his eyes are big and innocent, and you have a hard time connecting this Jungkook to the one from ten minutes ago who folded you like a chair against the window.
“You were right about what you said downstairs, Taehyung has always been overprotective about you being with guys,” he mumbles. “He was mad when I told him I liked you during my senior year, but he knew I would never go after you, because I was becoming an adult or whatever, and then I guess he thought I was gonna get over it when we went to college. But then, like, I never did, so that’s why he was mad when he saw me bringing you upstairs, but you just looked so good tonight when you were dancing, and I’ve been sort of in love with you since we were kids, that I couldn’t help myself, and I just– Are you crying?!” His rambling is cut short.
“No!” You shout, except you definitely are. You sniffle, wiping away the makeup that has long since been ruined as you try to hide your face from Jungkook. Said boy is staring at you like a deer caught in headlights, unsure if he should console you or let you cry it out. He settles on the former, ducking his head down until you’re forced to meet his imploring gaze.
You whine, pushing his head away as you scramble to gather your thoughts. “You’re so annoying,” you huff, getting the last of the tears wiped away as you level him with an irritated glare. “Instead of telling me you liked me, you basically stole my virginity, which you apparently asked my brother for–my brother! Of all people,” you scold, tweaking his nipple between your fingers, before trying to ignore the heated gaze he gives you from such an action.
You let one irritated groan tear its way out of your throat before you’re burying your way back into Jungkook’s arms. “You’re not mad, right?” He murmurs, soft and caring, and you’re totally mad, because it feels like you’ve somehow been conned out of your own virginity.
Except you tell him, “no, I’m not, because I’m kind of in love with you too,” and get to hear the giddy whoop that leaves Jungkook’s lips.

Angst free prompt: Little acts of domestic helpfulness. Like, making the other tea or making sure their favorite fork is clean or something.
idk if you’re even still around anon because this is nearly a year late and deviates a l o t from the original prompt but it was fun to write anyways :) thank you!
on ao3
A fumble with keys, then a rattle as the doorknob turns. While no sound comes from the swing of the door, Neil enters the apartment calling, “Honey, I’m home,” and that makes more of a racket than it would’ve if he’d just slammed it against the adjacent wall.
Andrew, who has long since become used to this particular part of their routine, merely grunts in response. Their mocking attempts to imitate the horrors of heteronormative domesticity is something shared between two men who have finally found themselves settling into a relatively uneventful life, and Andrew cherishes it even if it isn’t worth the breath to say so.
Over the screams of the boring thriller he’s watching, Andrew can hear the clatter of Neil’s keys as they’re dropped into the little dish that the Boyd-Wilds children had made for them, the thud of the door’s latch being put into place, the shuffling of Neil struggling out of his running shoes because he always refuses to undo the laces. He flips through the channels as Neil stumbles into the living room, reeking of and drenched in sweat. His hair is half plastered to his face and half valiantly reaching for the ceiling - courtesy of that goddamned bandanna - and the only thing that Andrew appreciates about this particular image is the fact that Neil’s legs in those tiny short-shorts still look tantalizingly good.
Neil tosses a candy bar his way - a fancy-flavoured KitKat from the Asian corner store three blocks down the street - and he would have missed horribly had Andrew’s reflexes not been as good as they are. Without a racquet Neil’s a useless shot, and Andrew raises a single eyebrow at him judgingly.
“Oh, fuck off,” Neil tells him, grabbing an old Palmetto water bottle from the fridge. “I’m taking a shower.”
“Better clean your mouth while you’re at it,” Andrew says boredly. He pauses long enough on a cooking show to unwrap his bar, but hastily changes it again once the big box of spinach is brought out. At his feet their puppy - a loud and excitable thing that Amelia had somehow managed to convince them to take in - gazes hopefully at the candy.
Andrew takes care to keep it far out of her reach, because he’s not cleaning up dog vomit and he refuses to listen to Neil complain about letting Cerberus eat chocolate.
He’s busy trying to choose between leaving the TV on Mythbusters or switching to Jeopardy when Neil finally comes out of the shower, flushed pink from the heat and scrubbing at his wet hair with a towel so the ends stick up even more. That decides it, Andrew thinks, and sets the remote down. Neil gets bored to death watching game shows.
(He nearly changes his mind when Neil leaves the towel draped over the back of a dining chair, since they both know it irritates him, but in the end all he does is huff in exasperation.)
“Hey,” Neil says, finally coming to stand in front of Andrew. It’s achingly familiar, and Andrew can remember that soft tone from a bus ride nearly two decades ago. Neil likes to say it when he wants Andrew’s attention, as if Andrew is not always, always drawn to Neil the moment he enters a room.
“You’re blocking my view,” Andrew tells him. His mouth is still sweet from the KitKat, the space next to him colder than he’d like.
“Mmm,” agrees Neil. “You do enjoy watching Discovery Channel commercials for glorified dumpster-diving.”
Andrew snaps his fingers at him impatiently. “Of course I do, I have to see your trash ass every day.”
“You like my trash ass,” Neil shoots back, a lazy smile working its way across his face. Andrew glares at him and very pointedly does not let his gaze drift down, to where Neil’s trash ass is being hugged by his sleep shorts.
And at last Neil caves in, crawling into Andrew’s space and turning towards him like a flower to the sun. It still makes Andrew’s stomach feel hot, as if countless fusion explosions are going off there and all he can think is that Neil’s hair smells like the vanilla bean shampoo Andrew had bought for him during his last ice cream run. His fingers tangle themselves into the loose fabric of Neil’s shirt - actually, it might be Andrew’s - and he can’t bring himself to focus on the show as it resumes.
“Now you’re just being distracting,” he mutters, leaning in so his nose is buried in the crook of Neil’s neck. With his glasses laying on their bedside table, he doesn’t have to worry about Neil’s hair getting caught in the frames. It also means that he has to squint in order to see the shit-eating grin Cerberus gives him as she jumps onto the couch cushions, where she knows Neil wouldn’t have the heart to let him shove her off.
And maybe in any other moment Andrew might be inclined to prove her wrong, but Neil is tugging him up for a kiss and he doesn’t mind enough to pick this particular fight. He doesn’t care either, especially with Neil’s lips sliding languidly across his own and their bodies pressed together along their sides. One of Neil’s hands slips under Andrew’s shirt to skim over the pudge of his stomach, and the coolness of a metal band most definitely does not make him purr into Neil’s mouth. The hand stays even when they break away, Cerberus whining loudly about the lack of attention doled out on her.
“Aw, baby,” Neil croons, the corner of his mouth curling up as he leans over to boop the tip of Cerberus’ nose. Andrew pretends that his heart hadn’t stuttered in the single second he’d thought Neil was talking to him.
“I’m not kissing you if you kiss the dog,” Andrew tells him.
A pretty, gasping noise as Neil laughs. He nestles into Andrew’s side, his hand still stroking his stomach as if Andrew was the pet. Cerberus rests her head on the curve of Neil’s hip and for a brief, horribly undignified moment, Andrew wants to be in her place. Instead, he wraps his arm around Neil’s shoulders to pull him closer, no longer awed but no less pleased by how they fit into each other.
They’re quiet for a while, and the only sounds come from the TV and Cerberus’ noisy breathing as she drifts off. Neil’s fingers take to twisting in the trail of hair leading into Andrew’s pants - not tugging enough to hurt - so Andrew retaliates by dipping below Neil’s waistband and brushing the blunt edges of his nails along his ass, light enough to make him shiver. Twenty, even ten years ago they wouldn’t have done this without permission and intent and clear lines, but right in this moment they’re content to trust each other.
“You know,” Neil whispers, once the next commercial break starts. “I think I’m getting old.”
“Really,” says Andrew drily. “What makes you think that?”
There’s a pause, a sigh, and then, “I never thought I’d ever get the chance to be old.”
Andrew pulls out his hand so they’re doing something that can almost be called a cuddle. He likes the awe in Neil’s voice, the steadiness of their breaths, even the background ticking of their cheap clock. Most of all, he likes the way his own mind is turning over the concept, the realization that yes, they’re becoming old and one day they’ll be gross and wrinkly and toothless. They’ve survived and found their reasons for living, even though neither of them had expected to live past their twenties.
Without really meaning to, he pulls Neil’s hand out from under his shirt and traces the simple band absentmindedly. On a whim he brings it up to press a reverent kiss to the metal as Neil hums in contentment. His own ring, usually worn on a chain under his clothes, is lying next to his glasses a room away, because Andrew doesn’t need the familiar weight to remind him of what he has.
“Is there a reason why you brought this up?” Andrew finally asks, carefully threading their fingers together over his lap. Cerberus snorts in her sleep.
“Not really,” Neil says, a hint of a smile only seen because Andrew’s completely given up on watching TV. “My legs were beginning to cramp up so I started thinking about my knees, which were kinda bothering me during my run - I might need to wear a brace next game - then I realized that over the course of the whole day I’ve managed to crack my neck, wrist, knuckles, hip, and ankles. I think my elbow needs to crack, actually, since it’s been feeling weird lately.” He’s quiet for a moment, then continues with, “My back constantly aches and all I can think of is the way we used to make fun of Coach for complaining about all of his joint pain.”
“But you’re still fine,” Andrew guesses, because Neil is still horribly predictable. He doesn’t mention that his own shoulders have been acting up during the past few games, since then Neil would bother him about going to have that checked out. Neil is a fucking hypocrite, he thinks with something that’s close to affection.
“Of course,” Neil says. “I have you. And the Foxes.”
They haven’t been Foxes for years, but Neil’s always been the nostalgic sort. Andrew finds that he’s been becoming more and more nostalgic too, even missing some of his old teammates now that he doesn’t have to see them every day. He doesn’t want to think too hard on it though, and carefully wiggles out from under Neil, who is a lot more draped over him than he thought, and presses a kiss to his forehead.
“I’m making hot chocolate,” he announces. “Want anything?”
“It’s too late for caffeine,” Neil complains, which yes, is completely a sign that he’s becoming old. Andrew, who has gained the Fox kids’ affection by remaining young at heart, finds that the sugar crash outdoes any of the meager caffeine in his hot cocoa mix.
All the same, he pulls Neil’s favourite mug from the drying rack as well, and sends both of them into the microwave full with water. There’s a box of tea bags that help Neil sleep, and Andrew likes the smell. He dumps in more mix than necessary into his own mug while waiting for Neil’s to seep, and comes back to find that his husband has collapsed sideways in his absence.
“Really,” Andrew says dryly. “I’m going to sit on your face.”
“Mmm, maybe when I have more energy,” Neil tells him with a naughty grin, pulling himself back up slowly to avoid waking Cerberus. Andrew hopes in vain that the steam’s blurring out his blush because goddamnit, he’s in his forties and still horribly weak to Neil’s rare hints of dirty talk.
Neil carefully eases Cerberus’ head off him so he’s fully upright, and reaches out to take his mug while Andrew tries to sit without his knees creaking. The sound of explosions and gleeful cheers echo from the speakers around them - Andrew likes the luxury of surround systems and Neil likes the opportunity to shell out money to treat him - and Andrew thinks that this is something worth fighting and surviving for.
He noisily slurps down his hot cocoa and ignores Neil’s little huff of laughter. Their thighs are pressed together even though they’re both careful to keep their elbows from bumping, and outside a car alarm is going off. Before long Andrew’s mug is empty save for the gritty bits of whatever didn’t dissolve, and he sets it down with a soft thud before deciding that it’s Neil’s turn to be leaned against for a change. His fingers run idly along the seams of the couch cushion, and there’s something soothing about the scritching noises his nails make.
“What are you going to do?” Andrew finally asks. The words burst out like he’s been holding them in for years, and maybe he has. “When you retire.”
“Who says I’m retiring?” Neil responds impishly, his smile curving around the lip of his mug. “I could keep playing Exy until I die.”
It’s not funny since Neil has, in fact, nearly died multiple times because of Exy, and Andrew tells him so.
“Fine,” Neil says, maybe a touch shamed. “I could coach. Or volunteer or something.”
Andrew isn’t even surprised. “As long as you’re coaching the same league as Kevin’s Tigers,” he says, just because he likes watching Kevin lose, even by proxy.
Neil hums thoughtfully. “The famous Josten-Day rivalry transcending generations, sounds fun. What about you?”
Without them noticing, Mythbusters had already finished and the channel is switching into something with far fewer explosions. Andrew thinks about the possibilities - they have enough money to comfortably live out the rest of their lives - and about everything that he never thought he’d have. He thinks about foster care and foster homes that were never really homes, about Bee and Wymack and chances that he hadn’t even believed in.
He thinks about the little idea that’s been wiggling around his mind, about Robin and about being able to help fix a broken system in a broken world.
“Volunteer or something,” Andrew eventually says. Neil makes another humming noise, and takes a sip of tea.
“We have time to work it out,” he says, and Andrew likes the way he emphasizes time. After years of countdowns, they’re finally counting up.
Even though it’s chilly outside, the cocoa settles a warmth in Andrew’s stomach and the weight of Neil along his side is better than any blanket. They absently watch whatever’s on - neither of them are paying attention - until Neil’s little sips finally empty his mug.
Their feet bump together when he gets up, and Andrew wordlessly passes him his own mug. He stares a little shamelessly at the strip of skin Neil reveals when he stretches up, and reaches for the remote to turn the TV off. Cerberus is grunting in her sleep, and Andrew considers waking her up before deciding that he doesn’t really care enough about the couch to deal with her trying to sneak into their room. Neil’s still cleaning up the mess Andrew made on the counter and rinsing out their mugs, so Andrew creeps up behind him and brushes the sides of his arms light enough that he can feel goosebumps form under his fingertips. It’s a sign of how comfortable they’ve become that Neil only relaxes at his touch, and Andrew presses his forehead into the space between Neil’s shoulder blades.
“Bed?” Neil asks.
“Sleep,” Andrew agrees, which does not necessarily mean that they won’t be doing other bed activities later.
“You need to let go of me,” Neil says.
“You need to work harder on arm day,” Andrew says with an emphasizing squeeze, but moves back anyways. Neil turns towards him with a little frown on his face, and Andrew uses his thumb to swipe it away, before tilting Neil’s head down to kiss him.
“Says the man who always skips cardio,” Neil murmurs against his lips as his hands - wet and cold because Andrew’s blocking the towels - come up to gently trace Andrew’s jaw. “C’mon, before we end up having sex in the kitchen. Again.”
It had been a messy affair, and the days when they could stay up past midnight playing Exy are over - Andrew’s eyelids are already feeling heavy. He sighs into their last kiss before pulling away, tugging at the hem of Neil’s shirt - which really is Andrew’s - to lead him into the bedroom.
“Keep your wet hair to your own pillow this time,” Andrew says, climbing in first like always. Neil takes up the other side of the bed, and the rustle of the sheets is actually sort of comforting.
“Hey,” Neil says again, once the blanket’s thrown over them and Andrew’s clammy feet are sucking the warmth from his own. He needs to stop saying it like that, because Andrew’s mind tends to get whisked away to glaring sunlight glinting off auburn hair and a sweet smile on a not-so-sweet day. “We’re getting old. Together, I mean.”
“Aging hasn’t made you any quieter,” Andrew grumbles, and their hands find each other in the darkness.
Other than their breathing, it’s completely silent.

Borage: Give a random fact about your childhood. I was bullied pretty bad in elementary school, pre-coming out and everything. I ended up needing to switch schools.
Bugleherb: How would you spend your last day on Earth? I value my own time and happiness a lot, so I don't think much would be different. I'd love to spend time with Charlie and Alex.
