Hiya, would you mind talking a bit about why h/azbin h/otel is problematic? Like I know next to nothing about it (except that there was a rape joke in one ep?? and apparently the creator did something but idk what) but I have mutuals who seem to be getting into the show and idk how to feel about the whole thing, I'd like to have some more context. Only if you want to talk about it, of course.
I'll admit I haven't actually seen the show (I did see part of the pilot but not the whole thing), but I've seen plenty of posts from my mutuals and blogs I follow calling out the issues with the show and the creator. Arguably, the more detailed posts I read are older, from when the pilot released. I've reblogged them to my main blog, so I'll try to find them and share them here.
But yeah, to sum things up, this show tends to romanticize/sexualize abusive relationships, it has racist elements to it (at least in the pilot), several stereotypes against gay people, and it basically just uses the excuse that it's hell, so it has the right to be "problematic". I've heard the creator is also VERY bigoted, and she does not accept any sort of criticism (like she will fight random people on Twitter for not liking her stupid show). I've also heard that she used someone else's character designs for the show, and did not give them credit.
Again, I'll find the posts I mentioned and I'll reblog them here. So I'll disable reblogs for this post since it doesn't have sources for now.

Twisted Love by Anna Huang semi review
This book was recommend by an old classmate of mine, i was friends with her so of course I decided to buy and read it. And errrr not my favorite. I'd give it a solid 3/10. Spoilers ahead ig
I like to think my opinion matters... but I'm just a highschooler. My qualification r that I've been through many fandoms, which means I've read many fanfics via Wattpad, AO3, Tumblr, and.... Quotev. And I'm an avid reader since the 4th grade.
To start off, the book felt very... Wattpady, I hated the conflict, how the character act, writing style and uhhh those scenes.
First the conflict, I don't know what to say. The plot twist of it being Micheal was okay I guess. With like better character development, I feel like the plot twist could rlly be a plot twist, but it kinda fell flat. For Alex's uncle. errr ummm I didn't like it. I rlly had to put my book down for a min to think about it. Like I could see the vision.
The character had me twisting and turning. I'm sorry But Alex is so insufferable. Like he's a stalker, which is supposed to seem romantic but it's not. Like the way he kept calling her his, even though they weren't together at the time, and even then WHAT. Also him being so overprotective bordered on toxic. Like sorry for the poor dude who only wanted a photo shoot at the beginning of the book. Alex has issues, and ur significant other cannot help u heal those issues. Which I think is a big problem with his character. He will always be hurt and if anything a weirdo for some how depending on Ava for emotional stability. Like homeboy u r not okay, GO TO THERAPY INSTEAD OF DOING THE TOOGY WOOGY. Also he seems to be the typical "man", like I remember somewhere that to write a good male character, you need to give them a trait that isn't masculine, bc no man is completely masculine. And he reminds me so much of those Wattpad billionaire protagonist, its not even funny. Also THE SINGING.
Ava character was better. She got her shit together by the end of the book. Also the sequence of her trying to get over her fear of water, felt boring but necessary for the story. She's bearable. But like during the conflict part, she is god damn too emotional in my opinion. She was unbearable to read during that saga. In my opinion I think the author glossed over like Micheal, her and Joshes uhhh confrontation thingy. Like we could have good sibling relationship. Honestly I applaud Ava for staying that positive. Also how her relationship with Alex hurting MORE than her "dad" WILD. Like girl u've known this man since ur birth, even though he was distance, he still acted like a father figure. But y'know to each their own. Umm I don't feel like talking about the other characters.
The writing style was meh. But I guess that's too expect when u buy a book from Walmart. It wasn't as smooth nor was it as pleasant to read, at the beginning it was fine then towards the end uhhh not as much.
For those scene... it may just be me reading this like literally at school. But I did not enjoy it. But I guess that might just be me not enjoying sex in my books. But on dirt and in another persons dinning room is a bit too far. Like do you not have shame. Also during the scene where she's wet and trying to get like birthday cake. Alex's uhhh thoughts were def something. This may seem offensive but, it some points it felt like Alex was talking like a male author writing a female character.
Anyways I expect to have a better read with twisted games, since he (Rhys) doesn't seem to be crazy like the other males in this series. And it just occurred to me I might not be the target audience... but I truly do love romance book.

okay. i gotta ask. im genuinely curious, what is it about slime that's got you so fascinated?
thank u for enabling me anon
slime got popular when i was in 9th grade, and a lot of the target audience of slime is young afab teens. it was just the Hip thing of the time.
i think what got me into it for the rest of time would be the sensory qualities of slime. slime actually introduced me to asmr and as someone w undiagnosed adhd, it scratched my brain in a way i've never felt before. i always refer to slime as quick asmr videos i can watch when i'm bored, and when the tingles hit it Hits yknow. w the way slime evolves over time, new types of asmr pops out and idk i just think it's cool!! like recently slimes with pebbles/rocks r the new Hip Thing and the way it crunches is SOOO satisfying omg
i guess a lesser reason altho still something i sorta look forward to is the way creativity is being exercised in the slime community? and i mean that genuinely. around 2018/2019 the community started making a lot of clay structure slimes, which means when you order a slime, you have to mix it in a clay sculpture that tends to look like food (altho it isn't limited to just food!). popular examples include rodemslime and momoslime (go checkem out). but genuinely, this era of slime REALLY separated innovative slimers from non-innovative ones. it was clear to me which slimer just didn't have the creative mindset to do new things, esp since a lot of slimes in the early days tend to be copy pastes of one another.
slimes nowadays come in such a variety which i find rlly cool!!! but yes asmr is the main reason tbh

what if... what if dick did cross dressing?? also your mob wife au is rlly good moonie!
"This is kinda weird."
Dick lifted up the hem of the dress and complained. On the other side of the room, Jason and his boys with their phones up, recording with solemn faces.
"You guys are enjoying this."
"What? No, this is for the report. Hurry up and put the garters on."
Dick got the garters in the air and stared. Laces. For the mission. For the goddamn mission. He thought so as he put them on, trying not to punch anyone in the room as Jason and his men balled their eyes out oggling at his bare thigh under the hiked-up maid dress and apron.
"It's itchy."
"Is it?" Jason hadn't got the phone off his face since he started changing and he was seriously getting under Dick's nerve.
"Why am I the one who does this again?"
"' 'cause he's got the legs for it?" whispered somebody in Jason's stupid arm unit. It wasn't intentional for Dick to hear but what do you know, he got the ears for shit like this.
One night, a luxury strip club, two targets in a roll. It would have been an easy stake out, a run in and out, easy and fast, standard undercover. Well, that was... until the maid dress was included.
The club ran theme nights every weekend. It was Sunday, guess people were feeling fancy.
"This is hard to fight in." Dick did a couple of twirls. The dress sure was goddamn blowy, it bounced like clouds.
"Try a high kick." Jason asked.
Dick turned on his heels and threw up his legs. The dress flew, in the room full of men, somebody squealed.
"Listen-"
"Try another one."
"Your nose is bleeding."
God knew what was going through Jason's head right now.
The plan was to get in, play it out until Dick got the needed info on the next drop of shipment, a confession at best. A standard night out, like usual. Jason already got his connection and maskless alias as the current owner of the Iceberg Lounge; Trevor would be his usual handyman; and Dick would be his new boy toy.
It was funny how Dick was always the boy toy in an undercover mission.
"So, how exactly is the script gonna roll?"
Jason finally put away his phone and got serious. "Simple, you distract him."
"I can do that." Dick clicked his tongue, swayed back and forth in his dress.
"But not too distracted."
"What do you mean?"
"It means there will be limits on what you can do to keep the man entertained."
"It's a strip club. People know exactly how they want to be entertained there."
"Well too bad we can't always get what we want, is it?"
When mommy and daddy fought, all the kids knew their places. The goons scattered out and quickly disappeared behind closed doors. Jason put his phone down and did that thing with his head. The "I'm not pleased and you should know it" chin tilted, shoulder flexed.
"Let's play this out, shall we? I'm the big bad man whose ship is filled with 60 people waiting to cross borders to highest bidders. You're the only person capable of getting close range with me, real close."
Dick walked over, clicking heels. Yeah, heels. Judgment aside, ladies got a real weapon here. One kick and they could likely pop an eye.
He pushed Jason down his recliner and crawled up and over his laps, playing with his tie.
"Men are simple. Hard as rock..." He weighted hard down Jason, rolled, and watched the crease between his brows deepened. "But not breakable."
"I'll be bringing friends."
"That means you'll be talking." Dick let go of Jason's tie and got up on his knees. "You like to flex it. You like an audience."
He hooked a finger on a belt loop, tugging. Jason positioned himself back and forth, seemingly uncomfortable with how things moved so far.
"Bringing partners, talking business in a private strip club. I'll be thinking with my dick before I let a word slip."
"Everything is about sex, except sex. Sex is about power. You'll talk. You'll like me listening."
"You sound so sure."
Dick snorted, "You've done this countless times before, all those business trips, private meetings of yours. You know what's in their heads, your partners, your guests. You know what's on your mind in places like this, moments like this."
"Oh I know." His arms got up and hugged around Dick's legs. Even for his big body, Jason yearned his neck just so their eyes could meet. "I always know what's the only thing in my mind."
Just like that, Dick knew Jason was no longer in his character. The curtain had dropped, lights off. Their play had come to an end.
"Even in moments like this?"
"In every moment of my life."
The way those eyes pinned on Dick, yearning, longing... Jason was many things of a man with his power, status and fortune, but the way he looked at Dick, only at Dick, turned him vulnerable.
It was little things like this, things he did, things he said, that got Dick's heart beating like the first blooming days.
He got off the recliner, pulled Jason along by his collar and moved them toward the long couch in the end corner of his office.
"Is this part of the script too?" Jason laughed when Dick ripped his shirt open and hiked up the maid dress.
"No."
Jason smirked and unbuckled his belt. They both knew they would be late at this point.
The mission would be damned, but they were both laughing.
