love simon was so good im glad cabaret was in it thats one of my biggest special interests but no one knows what it is (have some nitpicks though)
#they totally neutered it though#cut its balls right off#its such a like. deep play and ik you cant really get into the details w/o 1. spoiling it and 2. paying too much attention to it but#i guess i wish they focused on its gay aspects more ik its more about struggles of ppl of all walks of life in prewar berlin but like#i mean the movies about being gay and the fact that they didnt even like include cliff? who are hyou. wheres my cabaret#also thought it was funny that the homophobe played the emcee the gayest character#oh yes and i feel like it was portrayed as being like gaudy and shallow even though its one of the most interesting and complex plays ever#like it has such a rich history and its popular adaptation was written by.....you guessed it actual jews
