My mom has more or less confirmed that I'm inheriting my brother's goldfish in like five years when he goes to college (or earlier if he doesn't keep up with tank maintenance after I move out someday). I kind of figured that was the plan since my mom doesn't like animals and my dad is kind of forgetful with tank maintenance, but it's good to hear that we actually have some semblance of a plan for them.

#family stuff #my pets #cornelius #clarice #hermey #obviously this is pretty far out into the future but i'm relieved that we had this conversation #my irish twin doesn't know as much about fish as i do so i'm assuming that's why i came to mind for this #that and i've done all the tank maintenance since moving back home anyways #goldfish are a stupid amount of work and i'd never willingly buy more but i really love the goldies we already have so i'm okay with this #i guess i should be looking into tank upgrades since i know they'll need one at that point
