I grew up in America and my mom also had a rule about no shoes in the house, but it wasn't enforced very hard. We definitely do not allow shoes on the furniture though. I cringe whenever I see shoes on the bed especially.

I wonder how Cass feels about it? I admittedly don't know a whole lot about her character, so I don't know how much she knows about Chinese customs like that? (I'm assuming it's a Chinese custom too, I'm pretty sure it is but I can't remember off the top of my head) but I'm sure she would be on Damian's side (Damian and Cassandra are the best dynamic duo change my mind)

Do you think when Damian first arrived at Gotham and to the Wayne Manor, he got an ick because Americans wear shoes indoors? Imagine him automatically starting to take off his shoes, searching for slippers, and realising that everyone just... walk around in their boots... without a care in the world?
