Musical Theatre Themed Asks: 2, 4, 15, 22, 28, 34, 36 (sorry that's a lot but I am so curious and can't help it!)
thanks for the asks, my friend!! sorry for not doing them sooner, i went to bed early last night..
2. What musical got you really  into theatre? Wicked!! I saw it when I was in 6th grade, and that really was like “Yoo, this theatre thing is awesome!!” and here we are today!
4. Name three of your current Broadway crushes. only 3??? this is erasure to the rest of them but off the top of my head laura dreyfuss (for only a few more days in deh ;-;) derek klena and taylor louderman (bonus aaron tveit)
15. If you could revive any musical, which one would it be and who would you cast in it? Next to Normal!! :D it’s so beautiful and I wanna see it on broadway! For the cast, that’s hard to do off the top of my head, but I’m gonna say Kerry Butler as Diana, Mallory Bechtel as Natalie, Jonathan Groff as Henry, Ben Platt as Gabe and just for kicks and giggles John Mulaney as the doctors SOLELY BECAUSE of the scary rockstar line.
22. Which Disney movie should be made into a musical? I know that Mulan is already a musical, but that would be nice to see on Broadway, Otherwise Brave, since I LOVE bagpipes and the general feeling of the Irish music.
28. What book, tv show, movie, biography, video game, etc. should be turned into a musical? Well, I would say The Office, but that exists!! Parks and Rec would be stellar, featuring such songs as “Cones of Dunshire”, “I Hate Everything”, “Ron”, “Andy’s Secrets”, “Ann You *Insert Compliment Here*” and of course “Treat Yo Self”!!
34. A musical that has left you thinking about life for a long time or deeply inspired you. A few of them, actually. Next to Normal is raw, and beautiful and is so inspiring to people who feel alone or invisible. Also, DEH with a similar message of “you are not alone” and “you matter”. Those two really struck a chord with me and made me feel represented. Like mental illness is still a pretty taboo subject, at least in my life. These help.
36. Name a musical you didn’t like at first but ended up loving. Not gonna lie, Mean Girls didn’t peak my interest when I first listened to it. But as I kept listening to the songs, it slowly grew to be something I loved.
ask me musical related questions!
