guide to SUPERSONIX

SUPERSONIX (슈퍼소닉스) is a 5-member girl group formed under JYP Entertainment. They debuted on September 16th, 2016 with their single “Frenzy” off of their debut album, “Don’t Touch.” The group is comprised of members Hyewon, Xiangfei, Rina, Eunseo, and Seolhee.

name meaning | SUPERSONIX’s name comes from the word “supersonic,” meaning “faster or greater than sound.” the group has their name because they believe that their music isn’t just music (or something as simple as just sound), but it’s something that can be used to tell stories, convey meanings, and truly relate to their listeners and fans. the “X” in place of the “C” in their name means x’ing something out, and in SUPERSONIX’s case, that “something” are their antis and their competition.
