funny how things happen, ain't it? that guy that he'd helped -- geez, last week? week before, was it? he just kept fuckin' popping up wherever takeshi went. and sure, maybe it's pure coincidence, maybe they just hang out at the same places - but he fuckin' doubts it. he'd never seen 'em before that day - doubted he would've seen kai again unless the other wanted it to happen. so what's a guy to think, huh? is he s'posed to think that kai's sweet on him? the thought alone makes him laugh into his glass as he downs another drink, rationality ( whatever was left of it, at least ) long since gone too.

he's not blind, yanno? knows an attractive guy when he sees one - and kai's fuckin' pretty! takeshi keeps his eyes on the other all night, grins and gives him a little wave whenever they meet each other's gaze - but the bar is crowded enough that it doesn't happen that much, just enough to keep takeshi looking out across the sea of people throughout the night.

when final call hits, takeshi starts giving up all hope that he'll see the other man again. tragic, really - he'd been hoping to talk to him or at least do more than blow him a kiss across the fucking bar. takeshi goes up for another drink, slides his way into the seat next to someone before ordering. he's drunk enough that he doesn't even really care what he's drinking -- but that's not important. no no no, the voice next to him sounds familiar, has takeshi turning and gasping excitedly when he sees just who's sitting next to him.

❝ aw, did y' come all this way ta see lil' old me? ❞ funnily enough, it's the same bar that takeshi had dragged kai into when they'd first met. it's like fate has struck again! if kai looks unimpressed to see him, takeshi doesn't fuckin' care - just has this stupid ass grin on his face as he leans in closer, planting a kiss right on 'em! hey, if it's good enough for the french to kiss people when they say hello, then it's good enough for takeshi!
