“Care to explain why my members aren’t allowed back in their dorm?” Chan chuckled, walking in and kissing you softly.
“Nope,” you grinned, kissing him again.
He breathed out a laugh, an endless grin painted on his face as he took your hand, “Y/N, they just want to come home and celebrate.”
You giggled, “I know! I wanted us to make them a meal as a congratulations. But I didn’t know what to make so I waited for you.”
“Ooh! Ooh! Let’s make this!” Chan exclaimed, quickly getting out his phone and showing you a video that he’d saved to his Instagram.
You watched it intently with focused eyes before humming and nodding, “good! Let’s do it.”
Chan chuckled, watching the video himself before shoving his phone back in his pocket and turning his attention to you as you absentmindedly played with his fingers.
“Let’s cook,” Chan smiled.
You looked up to him with wide eyes before blinking and nodded, skipping to the kitchen.
“Do we have noodles?” you asked, Chan swirling his head round before pointing to the cupboard in the corner.
“Yes.”
“Do we have... I can’t remember what we need, just check, I’ll start making the noodles,” you laughed, standing on your tiptoes and getting the spiciest chicken ramen you could find out the cupboard.
Chan chuckled, pulling out his phone again and leaning against the table as he watched the video, beginning to look through the fridge and the freezer for everything you needed.
“Cheese sticks! We need cheese sticks!” Chan exclaimed, running around the kitchen.
You cringed as you looked at the pot of noodles that were cooking in front of you, already knowing it wasn’t enough for 10 people, “we also need some more noodles.”
“Okay, okay, it’s okay! I’ll go to the shops and get everything we need, you cook the things we need cooking,” Chan said, giving you a quick kiss before grabbing the keys and leaving the dorms.
You nodded, glancing over at noodles before walking over to the fridge, opening it. You looked all around the fridge before you realised what was wrong, you had no idea what the recipe was.
“Chris!” you whined, pulling out your phone and desperately calling your boyfriend.
“G’day,” he greeted, answering the phone after just two rings.
“Babe, I don’t know the recipe,” you sighed, “also remember to get loads of ice cream. The kids like ice-cream.”
You could hear Chan chuckle, “I’ll send you the video, okay? And yes, I’ll get lots of ice-cream.”
“Thank you,” you smiled, “now hang up and send me the video... And hurry up. I miss you.”
“I’ll see you in a bit,” Chan laughed, before hanging up.
You chuckled, leaning against the table in the middle of the kitchen as your phone pinged.
realstraykids has sent you a video
You breathed a sigh of relief, opening the message and watching the video before retrieving the chicken feet from the fridge and the chicken nuggets from the freezer, coating half of the chicken feet in sauce before cooking them all.
“Honey! I’m home!” Chan called, sliding off his shoes and walking into the kitchen as he set the keys down, smiling widely, “I’ve always wanted to say that.”
“Nerd,” you giggled, walking over and taking his face in your hands as you kissed him gently.
Chan smiled, pulling away and reaching into the bag, pulling things out.
“Spicy chicken ramen, cheese sticks, jalapeños, more eggs and ice-cream,” he listed, placing everything on the table.
You grinned, grabbing the ramen and throwing it in the pot along with the seven other packs of noodles, “thank you baby!”
“What are you cooking?” Chan asked, crouching in front of the oven.
“All the chicken, you can put the cheese sticks in too,” you said, eating some of the cooked noodles.
Chan nodded, opening the oven and getting the tray out, placing the cheese sticks on there before sliding it back in.
You couldn’t help but stare at your boyfriend’s veiny, toned arms as he did so, flexing and tensing as they moved about, his bracelet moving up and down.
“Like what you see?” Chan asked cockily.
You blushed, hitting his shoulder, “you’re my boyfriend, I’d be concerned if I didn’t like what I saw.”
Chan laughed, standing back up and leaning against the counter, smirking at you as you added the sauce to the noodles.
“Stop it, Bang,” you said, trying not to laugh as you kicked your leg out, trying to hit him.
Chan flinched as he began to laugh, still staring at you, “why should I? Huh? Why?”
You began to laugh as well, rolling your eyes at him before walking towards him and wrapping your arms around his waist, laughing into his chest as he laughed into your head.
“Shut up,” you laughed, hitting his chest.
“Come on,” Chan chuckled, kissing your head gently, “carry on cooking.”
You chuckled, walking away and getting a plate out the cupboard, spreading the noodles over the plate.
“Channie, can you cook the eggs?” you called, turning to see Chan on his phone.
He looked up and smield, nodding, “of course.”
He went and got a saucepan out the cupboard as you went and got the jalapenos and whipped cream out the fridge.
“Do we need a side dish of more noodles?” you laughed, checking the video once more.
Chan shrugged, “you know the kids, they’re very hungry.”
“I’m not making noodles with a side dish of noodles, Christopher,” you said, pointing at him, “no matter how hungry you and the boys are.”
Chan chuckled, putting the eggs in the pan of boiling water as the sound of the front door opening rang through the kitchen.
“Are we allowed back home yet?!” Felix called.
You giggled, “okay! Get the living room ready, okay?”
“Um, no, I’m too famous now,” Felix said cooly, walking into the kitchen.
You giggled, pulling him into a hug, “well done, Lix, you’ve worked so hard.”
Felix laughed, “stop it! I’m gonna cry!”
You smiled, pulling away and kissing his forehead gently, “now go set up the table.”
Chan pouted, “I didn’t get a congratulations.”
You rolled your eyes, walking over and taking his face in your hands as you pressed a soft kiss to his lips, “congratulations on your first win baby boy.”
Chan smiled, kissing you again before turning his attention back to the 10 eggs that were cooking in the pan, “so, how was work?”
You shrugged, chopping up the jalapeños, “not as exciting as your day.”
Chan hummed, “well, how was it - not compared to mine?”
You chuckled, “it was work Chan, how good can it be?”
Chan sighed, “you need to find a job you enjoy.”
You shrugged, “maybe one day, I’m just saving up money right now.”
“Y/N, I’ve already told you, I’ll earn enough money for the both of us, I promise,” Chan said, walking over and standing next to you, his larger frame hovering over yours, “why are you saving?”
His fingers lightly brushed up your arm before moving down and taking your waist, spinning you round so you were facing him.
Your cheeks burned a light pink colour at the closeness. Despite the four years you and Chan had spent together, he still made your heart beat unnaturally fast.
“N-No reason,” you said, shrugging as you tried to turn back to the noodles.
“Y/N,” Chan said sternly, placing his finger under your chin and lifting your head up so you looking in his eyes, “why? Hmm?”
You sighed, “I just– it’s far, far away but I just– I want— if we do end up you know... getting married... I want us to have the best wedding ever. And maybe get a pet.”
“Y/N, I can’t believe you,” Chan chuckled, walking back over to the pan and turning the heat off.
You bit your lip, your eyes filling with tears, “I-I’m sorry. Let’s just eat this and then we can talk a—“
“How could you forget our kids?” he asked, putting the eggs onto a plate, “and a house! Come on, if you’re gonna plan, you’re gonna have to plan right.”
Your mouth hung open slightly as you watched your boyfriend wonder around the kitchen, picking up the ingredients and finishing off the noodles in front of you.
After a while, he looked up at your confused gaze, “what?”
“I-I thought you were mad,” you said quietly.
Chan smiled, “the only reasons I have to be mad are, as I said, the flaws in your plan. Also, how you think it’s gonna be far in the furture. How dare you?”
You giggled, watching him pick up the plate with two hands.
“Can you get the eggs?” he asked, nodding to the plate on the other side of the kitchen.
You nodded, skipping over and picking up the plate, following Chan into the kitchen where all eight boys were, cheering as they saw you walking in.
“Okay, no eating!” Chan exclaimed, watching Changbin pick up his chopsticks eagerly.
Changbin rolled his eyes, putting them back down as you laughed.
“Y/N and I have made you guys this meal to say—“
“Congratulations!” you exclaimed before turning to your boyfriend, “doesn’t make sense if you say it, Chan, you have done so much for the boys and you’re the best leader, so this is for you as well.”
The boys all smiled, nodding along with your little speech.
“So congratulations,” you said, “to all of you! You’ve all worked so hard.”
The boys smiled, eagerly looking at the food.
“Congratulations, you’ve worked hard!” they all exclaimed, trying hard to say it in unison as they all took their chopsticks and began to eat.
“Thank you for the meal!” Jisung exclaimed, other shouts of thanks coming from each of them as you and Chan sat at the end of the table, eating little bits of the boys’ plates.
“Is this far in the future?” Chan asked quietly, nudging you slightly.
You furrowed your eyebrows, turning to him, “what are you– oh my god!”
The eight other boys turned their heads quickly in your direction at your shouts, Chan laughing as he held up the small diamond ring.
Jisung clapped with joy, Hyunjin screaming as the boys fell into chaos.
“I was planning a big event, I was even going to take you to Australia but... seeing you talk about getting married today, I realised that it’s fate and so, well, what do you say?” Chan grinned.
“Yes! Yes! Oh my god, yes!” you exclaimed, putting down your chopsticks with shaking hands as Chan slid the ring on your finger, kissing you softly as the rest of the boys cheered and clapped.
You laughed as Felix grabbed your hand to look at the ring, the boys all taking it in turns to look.
Chan sighed contently, laying his head on your shoulder, “this has to be the best day of my life.”
You turned your head so your lips were against the top of his head, leaving a soft kiss before mumbling, “you say that like it’s not the best day of mine.”
