the funny part of “Tacking Into The Wind” to me is Garak, at first, thinking that Kira doesn't know about the true extent of Odo's illness when in reality Kira has noticed for a while that Odo's not being honest with her but she is basically protecting his pride by pretending to not notice. And you can see Garak in the rest of the episode being o_o at everything she does, probably thinking 'I was already not messing with Kira Nerys but now I'm messing with her even less', and assuming the role of her cheerleader because it's evidently the safest course of action
