i will always be of the opinion that so many people (men) ended up not liking subnautica below zero purely because the mc is a woman who talks and has opinions on things
#like you dont have to be able to perfectly project yourself onto the mc to like a game :sob:#it makes me sad because sbz is genuinely still a great game but so many people are just like 'um its worse subnautica'#and then you ask them why and theyre like 'its just bad!' and then the 'bad' in question is they added interesting characters#that doesnt make it worse it just makes it different. bozo#now. the people who dont like it because the world map is smaller or because of the changes in development. valid#i also would have liked to see the original story be the final story but at the end of the day thats the story they went with#i like seeing people who werent there for the development play it. bc they almost always love it and think its just as good if not better#than subnautica#i genuinely think ppls nostalgia and in some cases mens misogyny get in the way of them realizing sbz is a fantastic game#simon says
