hello to the like 2 other people on this planet who even know about the asterisk war let alone enjoy it

do you ever see a story and love so much of the ideas and character concepts but absolutely hate the character designs and ultimate direction of the series? yeah that's how i feel about this one

so i went ahead and redrew the best characters the rewolf kids cuz they live in my mind rent free

also including my live reaction to a single part in the light novels as i was going through them to give you an idea of what this dumb series did to my brain:

dirk eberwein making me sick to my stomach (by being the best and most compelling character in this entire series)

#if ur curious about the design changes i just simplified a few details in the default rewolf student uniform #as well as removing that garish orange accent bc the magenta and teal are enough imo #then from there i just kind of vibed on each character's design #gave irene some real fucking clothes for once poor girl #went heavier on the magenta for her tho for the vampire themes + her general attitude #i gave ophelia a more standard uniform also bc it bugged me that she got this weirdo special uniform #i know it's because she's a major character and therefore needs a distinct design but like #idk it looked stupid to me soooo #priscilla i did basically fuck all to cuz her design was already fine i just changed her into the redesigned uniform i made #dirk and korona didn't need much changing because they're already perfect to me i just simplified a bit #i went with the anime interpretation where dirk is taller than korona cuz i LIKE it like that #i like my fat characters BIG and TALL baybee don't be a coward make them a fucking giant mountain or else #i'm obsessed with dirk and korona btw they are the reason i even finished reading all the light novels i got obsessed with them specificall #they kill me in a way other characters do not #anyways. i shan't ramble anymore #the asterisk war
