I don't want to sound rude and hasty but I'm not sure whether you forgot so I'm just gonna put this here. I also added one more part. This is in reference to the girls dom or sub chart.

1. Sakura's a sub? I mean, I know she said "I too have a heart of a woman" and she was legit embarrassed about being girly before but I kinda feel that Sakura was so stoic that she's neither sub or dom. She's just awesome. 2. Aoi kinda strikes me as both sub and dom. She's definitely a dom to Togami in that she's definitely not gonna let him have his way in any regard but at the same time, in terms of all encompassing general-ness, in terms of romance, Aoi is super embarrassed and shy about it. 3. I have no problem with Maki's position. But I do say she has a big soft spot when Kaito's there. 4. Peko should get a second placement just for a joke. In terms of her love of animals, especially Nyahiru, she should be a Super Dom. 5. I kinda feel Sayaka should be normal Dom cuz while I do see her being super flirty and mischievous and teasing to all of her shojo manga harem, I've definitely seen her easily uno reversed by Makoto and Kyoko and she becomes a embarrassed meek mess. Sayaka's a bit weak to sly romantic affection/teasing herself. 6. I know Narumi's a Literal Kid but you sure she's not already a bonafide Bitch? And 7. I might be wrong but I think I don't see Hiyoko on the chart.

//Okay so this is relating back to the sub/dom list I made for the characters, and the original ask you sent got buried in the box somewhere, so I’m gonna answer it here while I have the chance randomly.

Sakura is a sub WILLINGLY. I feel I should have clarified this because Sakura could absolutely be the dom of doms on this list, but it’s less to do with strength and more to do with the fact that she is (usually) a pretty gentle and sweet person. So in this sort of situation, while she COULD take the lead, she’s very much rather go at her partners pace. After all, I feel she’d be pretty used to people finding her intimidating.

This is true, but from the perspective of Hina’s relationship with Byakuya in general, not just romantically or sexually, they are both characters known for being competitive. One thing that makes their dynamic so interesting is they are competitive people, but are two very different kinds of sports. Hina is a friendly athlete who loves the thrill of the game more than the victory, and is in the scene to make friends, live life, and have fun, but Byakuya on the other hand is driven by a strong desire to be on top alone, and isn’t afraid to kick people down to get there. Put them together in this sort of situation, and the end result is…interesting to say the least.

I think it’s safe to say Kaimaki are switches. Kaito and Maki both feel like they would TRY to be doms, but they are very soft with each other, at least more than they are with other people.

I know this is a joke, but I am constantly feeling the need to remind people that Peko likes petting fluffy creatures, and the reason why she is so crazy over them is because they are usually so intimidated by her intense aura that they don’t approach her (and Nyahiru is scared of her for a very similar reason). Peko does not want to FUCK a fluffy animal. She’s a fur-lover, not a furRY.

Okay, you know what? This is fair. Giving it a bit of thought, it’s hilarious because in the Naegibowl, Sayaka is actually all three. She’s a dom for Makoto, a sub for Kyoko, and a switch for Mukuro because Mukuro is normally really shy, but if she decides to take the lead, Sayaka couldn’t fucking do ANYTHING to stop her and her ripped as hell abs.

Okay, yes she is, but I tried not to include the characters who have been stated to be young. At this point, Narumi IS 16, but I didn’t want to chance it.

I’ll have to go back and check, but in case Hiyoko isn’t there, she’s definitely a dom; at least in her current relationship.

astarion continues to lay it on thick, but balaerra's amused so i suppose it's working anyway. very fun to go from her being nice to him to them making fun of each other

Corpse Husband X Reader

Summary: Just some pickup lines from Corpse in a round of Among Us.

Warnings: Maybe some swear words somewhere and my trashy writing.

Definitely not my artwork. Also I’m back and not dead. Yay! Tell me what you think and please request.

Rae, being the big sister she is, begged me until I had to give in to make her be quiet, got me to agree to playing Among Us with her gang. As in Poki, Felix, Sean, Brooke AB, Sykkuno, Toast, Fuslie, and Corpse. I have never once in my entire existence played Among Us. I stream but never this game. I mostly stream the Sims 4 and I just started The last of us two. I download the game and the proximity mod Rae told me to get. After setting up my stream and greeting the early people who come early I open the game and join the discord call.

“Rae you said you have someone new to play.” One of Rae’s friends says as I join the call. I can clearly tell from the voice that they are excited.

“Yea, she’s really annoying most of the time and we share DNA.” Rae laughs causing me to gasp. “ME! Annoying imposable!! I’m the most un annoying person in the world. The audacity you have Rachell Hofstetter.” 

“Guys this is my little baby sister Y/N.” Rae introduces me to all her online Among Us friends. A chorus of hi’s sound out in my headphone, really loud hi’s form some of them. “Introduce yourselves.” Rae commands the group.

“Hi I’m Sykkuno I have a plant hat.” 

“Ok, um Hi I’m the better sister Y/N nice to meet you all.” I kindly say with a wave though after I realize they can’t see me. “Oh God I just waved though none of you can see me. Let’s just start before I do more weird things.”

“We still have to wait for Corpse.” I let out a small oh as I mute myself and talk to chat.

“Corpse finally you’re here!” Syykuno’s voice is the first I hear in a while. He greets the player that’s 19 minutes late.

“Corpse meet my sister Y/N, she’s our tenth player.” Rae butts in before Corpse even has a chance to talk.

“Whaddup baby.” An unbelievably hot voice makes it’s way through my headphones. I just sit there stunted for a second. His voice is Godly and amazing what I would give to wake up to that every morning.

“Uh um h-hi.” I giggle out feeling my face heat up a ton. My chat is going a million miles per hour even with slow mode. The ones I can read say something like SIMP!!!, that reaction tho, look at her blush.

“Hey, that’s my sister Corpse!”

The game starts with me being a crewmate. We all spawn around a blue circle table. I stay there for an extra bit trying to regain myself. “Rachell, how do I play?” After Rae gives me a quick rundown she leaves to the left to do her tasks. I head down to a place filled with boxes. I walk in circles around the boxes for a while just for fun when a body is reported. 

“Body in Nav.” Felix says being the one to report Sean’s body. 

I listen to the conversation they all have, silently observing what they have to say. That is until I’m brought into the conversation. “Y/N you’ve been silent.” Toast calls me out. “Where were you this round?”

“I was in a room.” I start off as the others laugh around me as I try to think what that place was called. “Sus” Someone says, causing me to panic. “Wait, give me a second it was a room with boxes some of them were like floating or something.”

“Storage?” Corpse asks, again causing my face to heat up. God this man doesn't even have to say anything interesting to make me blush, he could say the dumbest thing and I’d be hooked.. “Where else were you?” Toast asks clearly, trying to sus me for no reason whatsoever.

“Um… storage, I was there the whole round running around boxes. Why you so sus Toast trying to cover up the murderer are you?” I try to throw the sus back at the man. 

People start voting so I vote for Toast because why not, he’s being mega sus. My white head pops up next to Toast’s name with a little black head. And Toast’s cyan head pops up next to my name. We get into the next round and Corpse insists I follow him, so I do. I mean who can say no to him, certainly not me.

“Wait here,'' he tells me. I stand in Caf in the top corner unsure if I’m about to be killed or not. Corpse walks out of my sight before walking in front of me. “Do you believe in love at first sight? Or should I walk past you again?” He asks, causing me to become a stuttering mess.

“I um I… I got ta-task to g-go do.” I start walking away feeling my face heat up. But he follows after me.

“I'm learning about important dates in history. Wanna be one of them?” No matter where I go Corpse follows after me giving out pickup lines.

“I seem to have lost my phone number. Can I have yours?”

“Corpse s-stop following me I um I-I I have tasks.” I stutter helplessly trying to get away from him passing multiple people laughing at me. 

“Can I follow you where you're going right now? Cause my parents always told me to follow my dreams!” He uses another pickup line before a pink body gets reported. 

“The body is in the back of electrical.” Leslie is the first one to talk. The blush on my cheeks caused by Corpse Husband doesn't feel like going away anytime soon.

“I think Y/N and Corpse came from there.” Poki adds to the conversion by throwing the sus over to me and Corpse.

“It couldn’t have been Y/N I was with her the whole round.”

“Ye-yea yes it is not Corpse I-I um I was with him.” I stutter out. People start accusing Corpse because how unserten I sounded until Sykkuno stuck up for him saying he saw us together alot. Most of us skipped except a few votes on Corpse and one vote on Toast from me. He’s still sus.

And now the pickup lines from Corpse start again:

“I hope you know CPR, because you are taking my breath away!”

“If I had four quarters to give to the four prettiest women in the world, you would have a dollar!”

“Are you a camera? Because every time I look at you, I smile!”

“I'm in the mood for pizza. A pizza you, that is!”

“My buddies bet me that I wouldn't be able to start a conversation with the most beautiful person in the game. What should we do with their money?”

“Remember me? Oh, that's right, I've only met you in my dreams.”

“I'm glad I remembered to bring my library card. 'Cause I am totally checking you out!”

“I'm no mathematician, but I'm pretty good with numbers. Tell you what, give me yours and watch what I can do with it.”

“Are you a time traveler? Because I see you in my future!”

“There is something wrong with my cell phone. It doesn't have your number in it.”

“If I could rearrange the alphabet, I’d put ‘U’ and ‘I’ together.”

“Aside from being sexy, what do you do for a living?”

“Feel my shirt. Know what it’s made of? Boyfriend material.”

“I was blinded by your beauty; I’m going to need your name and phone number for insurance purposes.”

“Something’s wrong with my eyes because I can’t take them off you.”

“Did the sun come out or did you just smile at me?”

“You’re so beautiful that you made me forget my pickup line.”

“I know you vented Y/N. Right into my heart.”

That’s all I hear for the rest of my steam. Each time making me more flustered than the last. My face has been red all the time and chat hasn’t failed to notice, making me more flustered each time I read a comment calling me out.. We were all chilling in the lobby going to do our last game when Corpse decided to use another pick up line on me.

“Hey guys watch this, watch this!” He says getting everyone to stop their conversations. “Hey Y/N.”

“Hi?...”

“You remind me of the twenty letters of the alphabet.” He starts. I tilt my head a little confused where he got twenty from. But like sure dude.

“Corpse buddy, there are twenty six letter in the alphabet.” Sean says, correcting Corpse who somehow forgot about six letters.

“Silly me, silly me how could I forget U R A Q T.” Again the blush gets deeper.

“Hold up man you're still missing one you can’t count!” Felix yells out over the chorus of awww. From the rest.

“Don’t worry I give you that D later.” I think I died and went to heaven. Maybe hell couldn’t be sure.

“Woah woah woah THAT IS MY BABY SISTER YOU ARE TALKING TO!!!! KEEP IT PG!!!!” Rae yells out over all the people laughing and saying things. 

“I think I’m broken.” I whisper in my mic, somehow over all the talking Corpse heard me. “Sorry Kitten, maybe I should come over and make you feel better.”

After seeing Kaede’s dysfunctional mother, Kaede’s panic, and then her kicking him out of the house, Kokichi couldn’t sleep.

He went back to the dorms and stayed awake the whole night, plagued by thoughts of Kaede.

Should he have left? Did Kaede want him to follow her when she ran off? Was he supposed to stay and comfort her?

He didn’t know what to do.

Kokichi realized he’d have to go back to Kaede’s house, one he left his bag there, and the other, they had to finish working on their project.

Kokichi could barely feel any of his senses. He was so tired after not sleeping the whole night, and experiencing the hell that was Kaede’s house.

He had to wonder if Shuichi was able to sleep after going to Kaede’s house.

He yawned obnoxiously loud as he walked into class, earning a glare from Maki, what was her damage anyways?

He took note that Kaede’s seat was empty, Kokichi had no idea why this made him so nervous.

A few minutes after class started, Kaede opened the door and took her seat, a fake smile plastered on her face. By now Kokichi recognised her fake smile, it was so obviously fake it hurt.

After class, Kaede attempted to leave as quickly as possible, but Kokichi quickly latched onto her.

“Akamatsu-Chan! We gotta do our work together, remember? You do remember, right?!”

Kaede’s smile strained for a bit before returning, she didn’t say a thing.

“WAHHHHH!!! SHE FORGOT MEEEE!!!” Kokichi cried, Kaede winced and she lowered herself to whisper to him, “I know you want to go to my house again, and we kind of have to, but please, be quiet.” 

Kokichi’s tears quickly disappeared, “Okay! I’ll be quiet!” Kokichi started humming to himself as he walked next to Kaede.

The two arrived at her house sooner than Kaede would have liked, but she quickly opened the door and ran to her room with Kokichi.

She took a few breaths and quickly got to work with Kokichi by her side. He was being quiet, remembering what happened last time with Kaede’s mom. 

Kaede moved her shoulders and Kokichi couldn’t help but gasp as he saw purple, red, yellow, and even black colored bruises covering Kaede’s neck. He could see imprints of Kaede shaped hands on her neck too.

“W-What are those?” Kokichi was praying to whatever divine force was up there that it was just makeup.

“Huh?” Kaede turned to Kokichi and realized what he was staring at. She’d been wearing turtlenecks for a while and saw her collar had slipped. She gasped and felt her eyes sting with tears, Kokichi wasn’t supposed to see those.

She got up from her chair and ran into her washroom, the tears wouldn’t stop coming. She instinctively wrapped her hands around her throat and squeezed, attempting to stop the sounds coming from her throat involuntarily. She couldn’t breathe and it made her head feel light and airy.

She’d started to develop this habit because all she needed was her hands to make some of the pain stop. She knew she could die from it, but that didn’t matter to her.

Her vision was starting to blur, she smiled, knowing she would black out for at least a few good seconds.

She felt darkness ready to envelop her until her hands were forced away from her neck. She opened her eyes, blinking to figure out what had happened.

Her eyes finally focused to see Kokichi standing in front of her, his face had tears rolling down as he stifled his cries, “What the hell, Akamatsu? Are you trying to die?” Kaede quickly shook her head, “No! Of course not!”

Kokichi growled, “Then why are you choking yourself? Don’t you realize how fucking terrified I was when I saw you on the ground with your hand on your neck you could have died!”

Kaede bit her lip and looked at the ground, she could look Kokichi in the eyes right now, “Dammit, Kaede! I care! I care about you!”

The dam broke.

Kaede threw herself at Kokichi and latched onto him, she wailed into his arms.

Kokichi couldn’t stop his own tears either. He grabbed onto Kaede and sobbed into her shoulder. 

All of a sudden there was a bang heard from the other side of the wall, “Kaede! Shut the fuck up! I don’t need to hear you crying, you slut!”

Kokichi gasped as Kaede squeezed him into her arms tighter, she started crying even harder.

That voice definitely wasn’t her mom, so it might have been her dad. Great, Kokichi thought. This family just couldn’t live without being any more dysfunctional, could it?

At least she wasn’t choking herself though.

Kokichi couldn’t tell how much time had passed since he’d been holding onto Kaede, but it hadn’t been less than an hour. Kaede’s cries had softened down to small whimpers and sniffles now.

Kokichi’s scarf was ruined, but he couldn’t bring himself to care about that right now. He was focused on Kaede, and only Kaede right now.

“How are you feeling now?”

Kaede wiped away some of her tears before answering, “A little better, I guess. Thank you, Ouma.”

He gave her a real smile before getting up from his spot on the floor, “Should I stay over?”

Kaede looked like she was processing what he’d said, “Sure. It’s not like my parents would care anyways.” She gave him an awkward smile, it looked nothing like the fake one she wore at school.

Kokichi grabbed her hand and tried to pull her up from the ground, Kaede got up and they left the bathroom to lock themselves in Kaede’s room for the night.

The door closed and Kokichi shouted, “Sleepover!” Kaede laughed and smiled at the ground before grabbing the papers they needed to finish for the project.

“We can’t fail this, come on.”

Normally Kokichi would complain about the work, but it felt right to work with Kaede.

THE VIEWER’S ROLE but first some notes

I'm back and looks like I missed all the fun! Ah well, I still have analyses to spew. I haven't been through the tag very much so if I repeat some stuff others have pointed out, forgive me. I may repeat some stuff that Gre has said too but I kind of have this particular post as a big analysis so bear with me. This is why I hate being late.

I was really pissed when I got back from the middle of nowhere to learn that Mark was releasing a video called “DAMIEN” because I had this theory that I never posted. It had to do with the “Korean Beauty” video thing. Y’know, this one.

With that whole monologue thing. Which was a teaser now that I think of it.

“Snow blankets the field, a pristine meadow of untouched white. No animals call. No birds cry. Only the steady rustling of wind through dead trees accented by the impact of his axe. A crack like thunder rings out as the ancient pine finally succumbs to his murderous assault. The old giant crashes into the ground. Dami-”

I would have brought it up if I HAD BEEN HERE. Sigh. I’ll be kicking myself about that one forever. Anyway. Time to theorize. 

The viewer's role in Mark’s story has been pretty fuzzy overall. But I had an idea. Actor Mark mentioned he was creating a story. He's the "hero," and Damien's the "villain." Yeah. Sure.

But you know Damien mentioned "other prisoners." We can assume it's our other beloved friends, Abe, Warf, the butler, etc. He probably meant us, too. So it occurred to me that everyone represents a role in the story as well. Before I get to that, let me go through a couple things that were really cool because I'm really happy that some of the stuff we've been pushing was right. We'll go through some of the video.

Man I love symbolism. My favorite was the tree branches spreading out like veins. 

We actually first noticed this in one of Mark's thumbnails for a game. And it actually looks like a lot of his thumbnails were teasing what was happening so go figure. 

PAY ATTENTION TO THE THUMBNAILS. Please.

Anyway, normally trees represent immortality or a soul. But it looks like in this video, they represented illusion. Or perhaps Celine’s protection. When they appeared in the window, Damien was thrown back into the loop and began again. And at the very end, we see the forest completely gone.

The illusion was gone. No secrets between siblings. Perhaps there’s a bit more to it, but I’m going to keep it short and sweet. Speaking of sweet, the flower.

Everyone seems to believe it represents Warf, and it probably does. Silly thing. But Gre pointed out that it also represents spring, a new beginning, change. If there’s one thing Warf has been doing, it’s getting people to change the routine. Throwing a wrench in the illusion. Pulling people out. He’s a wild card.

And after Damien saw it he began to sense things were off. Just like Abe did when he ran into Warf. 

A quick note on Warf: he’s an important character. He doesn’t seem to play a role in Mark’s story because he keeps breaking free and it seems all he can to keep him contained. And honestly? I don’t think Mark really messes with him because he’s scared of him. He’s going to play a key role, you can bet.

Back to business. The corpse. Oh I loved the corpse. 

Looks almost familiar huh?

All these lovely masked creepos. Not to mention the ten million I didn’t put here. Again. The thumbnails tell all. What I think is interesting about the corpse though, is that it’s this decaying ugly...well, corpse, but there seems to be a...fresher layer of skin over the face as well. Like. A mask. Fun details, I love this video, I love the art. An allusion to Mark in Damien’s body? Maybe.

I mean, he is the one wearing a mask and telling everyone to smile and wake up.

OK ON TO MORE THEORY-Y THINGS. Thank you for staying this long. So the HERO, the VILLAIN. What other roles are there? Abe is the silly detective trope and the chef and butler are obvious. 

Celine is...difficult to figure out. I wonder what exactly Mark gave up for her. I’ll try to pinpoint her another day. I did mention that Warf could be our wild card but, again, he breaks the roles and the rules. Then there’s us.

The viewer. The disembodied camera, if you will. Powerless to do anything but record the events. It kind of reminds me of old-ish books where the narrator was an actual character in the story, but they didn’t actually have an impact, they were just along for the ride to tell the story later. Stuff like The Great Gatsby, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Phantom of the Opera.

Then I learned about a big project in the making. A Heist With Markiplier? Apparently taking place after ADWM. Then I got thinking. Why would Mark, Actor Mark, want to take us along for a heist? If he’s so obsessed with being the hero you’d think a heist would be the furthest thing from his “beautiful” story he’s writing. 

Unless he means to blame you. You see, it occured to me that in ADWM, you seem to get in trouble for all his problems. He forgot the money, so you had to pay. If not, you both were kidnapped and you suffered for it. In the jail cell route, you were the one who had to fight the chef, even though this was all Mark’s fault. In the Dark Mark route he conveniently disappears when Dark shows up. It’s not you he wants, it’s Mark. But you’re stuck in the middle.

The van vlogs. It’s more lowkey and on a smaller scale, but he still bolsters his own ego when things go right and he takes the credit. When things go sour, he “jokingly” blames you.

Not to metion WKM itself. You were the only truly innocent party, caught in the crossfire, paying the price in a dispute for something you weren’t even involved in.

You’re the scapegoat. The blameless victim. We’re completely helpless, but we keep getting the short end of the stick, and can’t seem to do a damn thing to change it. 

We don’t have a choice. I wonder if that will change, however. It seems that everyone is eventually going through some sort of rebirth or shift in character. I wonder whether the choices we make will finally have an impact on this convoluted story.

Maybe it’s not groundbreaking, but it is an analysis, and you know how much I love those. I’m just really glad to get back into the swing of things, so expect more from us soon! Thanks for reading my mess of a post! Talk to us we love it!

Spring of 1986 was upon them, some days, it didn’t feel very different from Hawkins. He worked a job in the small town, he went to school, kept to himself and came home to his family. it was routine and he was used to it by now. It was almost easy.

Accept it wasn’t Hawkins, it was a town in New York State. It was a massive change and in many ways the people felt the same as any small town. But it was interesting being in a place where no one knew you... no one even suspected what you could have been through.

There was an eagerness in him though, he’d be graduating soon, done with high school and onto... well he wasn’t quiet sure what he was going to do when it came to collage, not yet anyway.

The one thing he looked forward to, when he got home after work, school and life. After he said hello to Will and El and then gave his mom a quick kiss on the head while she was in the kitchen making dinner (if he got home early enough or she got home early enough) he’d make his way back to his room, toss his backpack onto the chair in the corner and settle against the headboard before he picked up the phone in his room and started to dial number he knew by heart.

It had cost a little more and he paid for the whole phone bill anyway, but it was worth it to have his own phone in his room, it was still a single line and El would on occasion pick up the other phone and interrupt his calls, but he didn’t mind.

He needed this.

Today had been a hard day at work, hard day at school. He couldn’t wait. There was always this mix of anxiety in his tummy when he called her. When he heard the rings, there was a worry she wouldn’t answer. And shockingly she’d never missed their dates. He usually called due to his job and his hours being all over the place, but she always picked up. he was oddly enough always around when she called him.

Fortunately this time wasn’t different.

“Hello,” her soft voice floated through the phone, he quickly dropped his head back against the wall and let out a soft sigh.

“Hello to you to.” he replied gently.

There was always some relief when he spoke to her, no matter their moods, she soothed him, made him feel whole.

“How was your day?” Nancy asked gently.

“Oh you know, work sucked, my boss decided to be real jerk today... his son, who also works there is lazy and an idiot... can’t do the job for nothing, but his dad always takes it out on me, as if I’m the one who’s supposed to fix everything he does.” Jonathan grumbled. This was a constant thing, but he was almost used to it by now.

“I’m sorry, he needs to fire his son... or can’t you fire him? Aren’t you the assistant manager?” Nancy asked, she said it a little proudly.

Jonathan chuckled, “yes, Jonathan Byers, assistant manager of Crowley’s Hardware Store... I’m a force to be reckoned with...” there was humor there, but that also reminded him that although his boss was a jerk. He did promote him and keep him around because he was good at his job.

“You are a force to be reckoned with,” Nancy replied softly.

Jonathan made a soft grunt into the phone, “how about your day?” He asked.

He could hear Nancy lick her lips, knew she was about to drop some bombshell on him. “Well I heard back from all of my schools... and I got into them,” Nancy only paused a moment to tell him this.

Jonathan felt a combination of anxiety, nervousness and excitement. “Wow, holy shit Nancy that’s... congrats... which one are you picking?” He asked.

Nancy took a deep breath. “Non of them.” Nancy replied.

Jonathan was frozen, he was first anticipating hearing her say she picked Florida State or something far abs weird like that... but this shocked him. “Wait... what?” He asked. This was confusing he thought she couldn’t wait to get out of Hawkins. “I thought you couldn’t wait to get outta there...”

“That’s still true! But I just can’t see myself going to college... not right now...” she said it softly.

Jonathan sat up more on the bed, “so you’re taking a break year?” He asked. He knew some did that, took a year to travel and figure stuff out before college.

Nancy sounded excited, “Yes, I already talked to my mom and then my dad and they were a little disappointed but I got my mom on my side, she understands.” Nancy said.

Jonathan smiled softly. “That’s amazing. It’s funny, I was thinking about doing that myself... work full time before... stuff like that.” He replied in sort of a fast murmur. There was a part of him worried, he wasn’t sure where he fit into her future plans anymore.

“Yeah I was thinking about a job or travel or something like that,” Nancy said.

Jonathan modded, But she couldn’t see him, “you’ll always be a phone call away.” He let it slip out.

There was a longer pause on her end and he wondered if he had said something wrong. he really didn’t know where he fit into her future plans. “I mean assuming you want to be, I understand if you want to be free or something while you travel, get your life sorted,” he said it all quickly.

“Jonathan,” she started to say, cutting him off, he was grateful she did, “I was thinking about moving to New York,” Nancy replied.

Jonathan was confused again, “city?” He asked.

Nancy laughed lightly, “maybe?”

“Oh that would be...” he didn’t know what it would be like, she’d be closer, well not half days long trip, he could see her more often, she could visit more often.

“Yeah it will be interesting, I’ve been looking up some jobs at the papers there, not New York Times but some magazines and some smaller papers.. And of course not journalism but jobs to get me in the door.” Nancy said.

Jonathan smiled, “That’s great Nancy, you’ll be running these places in a few months anyway.” He said gently.

Nancy paused again, “and I was thinking... if you wanted to, you could move in with me,” she said it with some hesitation.

Jonathan’s smile slipped from his face, “wow really?” He asked confused.

Nancy giggled, “Yes, why wouldn’t I? Of course I want you to live with me,” Nancy whispered softly.

Jonathan smiled and warmed up a lot, “id love to live with you... make you breakfast... and dinner... you can’t cook so I’ll be making all the meals,” he started to say in a teasing tone.

Nancy giggled, “hey now... I make a mean bowl of cereal.”

“You poured the milk in first once and I never let you make your own bowl of cereal again...” he teased.

Nancy was quiet and he knew she stuck her tongue out at him over the phone, “but aside from you cooking, it would be fun to live together I think,” Nancy replied.

“Yeah, I think so... I would... really like that.” he said and his kind started to race with imagined futures.

“We could get a cute little place, even just a studio, we’d work and live there and work... I guess there’s a lot of working involved,” Nancy said.

Jonathan laughed, “Yeah, hey we could have our parents over, the kids,” he said it fondly, getting used to the idea.

“Sounds like we’re married,” Nancy laughed slightly.

Jonathan’s heart sped up, “do you wanna?” he asked, wow that sounded dumb.

Nancy stopped laughing, “do I wanna... what?” She asked.

“Get married... do you want to,” he asked again.

He could hear Nancy breathing, but he waited, “I mean... yes I want to get married...” she replied.

Jonathan felt too warm, “I want to marry you, Nancy.” He said it as clearly as he could.

“Now?” Nancy asked, there was humor in her tone, but she also sounded nervous.

“No I mean... I want to marry you... when we can do that, whenever...” he mumbled softly.

“Jonathan, you’re so cute, I love you... yes I want to marry you whenever as well,” she sounded serious and sweet.

Jonathan relaxed, “that was the worst proposal ever,” he laughed slightly.

Nancy giggled, “I don’t know, I kinda liked it.” She replied.

Jonathan smiled, “I love you... can’t wait to see you in two weeks,” he whispered.

“I’m so excited about seeing you again, counting down the days,” she replied.

There was a pause and Jonathan didn’t want the conversion to end, “hey you said you’d finish telling me about happened with Janice P and Ricky from the basketball team,” he reminded her.

Nancy laughed, “you really want me to tell you more about the Hawkins high drama that’s going on?”

Jonathan shrugged, “better then any tv show, plus I get to listen to you talk,” Jonathan replied.

So Nancy proceeding to tell about the latest drama, and they forgot about the distance and moving in together and marriage for just a little bit.
