You know, I've been thinking about how funny "Y o u d i r t y b r o t h e r k i l l e r" actually is.

In context, it's not funny at all. Poor Sans is grieving over the loss of his brother. He's bitter and angry at you for murdering him in cold blood. He just urged you to take responsibility for your actions and power and think about the choices you made. And then you just straight up said NO to his question about it. Yeah, he's gonna be pretty pissed. He's gonna take a jab at you. And it's gonna sting.

But then...

Out of context, it's just silly. He really couldn't think of a better insult? Bro sounded like he was two steps away from calling you a poop face or something like that.

Though, that also got me thinking... Maybe Sans just... isn't used to hurling out insults? As in, just pure insults. Not quips. Not playful jabs. But actually insulting someone. I can't think of any other circumstance where Sans would resort to throwing out insults. Well, besides the genocide route, but even then, he doesn't insult you, really. He calls you out and makes you face awful truths. He doesn't really insult you very much.

And outside of YOU, who else would he insult? Flowey? Dude doesn't even know him until the finale of the pacifist run! And hell will freeze over before insulting Papyrus even crosses Sans' subconscious mind. Little man has a kind word for almost everyone! He'll point out their most dorky characteristics and genuinely think that's what makes them awesome. Honestly, I can't think of a single circumstance that doesn't involve murder where Sans would get angry at anyone. So actually insulting someone would be pretty foreign for him. And he's BAD at it! XD

It's just another one of those traits that makes me wanna scoop him up and dote on him. I'm not ashamed to say it: he's a cutie! Him and Papyrus both! (If insults are strange for Sans, imagine PAPYRUS attempting an insult, lol.)

Anyway, I'm gonna stop before I start gushing like a proud mother.
