many other women see Althea as this woman who's not bound by rules but the moment she's faced with Amber and Jek, women who freely exercise agency (because they weren't brought up under bingtown societal expectations), she envies their confidence and their apparent ability to not see themselves through other's eyes

#i find althea so interesting because she's pushing at her confines and struggling with her realities at the same time #idk what my point here is #but althea feels like she's at the 'i want to be her' stage of certain discoveries #also not to talk like a therapist but i think a lot about althea trying to hug ronica and being turned down a lot #and ephron dying and leaving vivacia to keffria must have been a gigantic blow to her confidence #she's bold she's insecure she's impulsive she's just trying to find a place she belongs to #I love her #ship of destiny
