Hi!!! Sorry if this is annoying but could I request SAGAU!Diluc and a GN!creator who is obsessed with him (lvl 90, signature weapon, triple crown, multiple constellations) irl? Specifically them talking to Diluc through the screen because they’re kinda delulu, congratulating him and stuff when he does The Big Damage (TM), and apologizing when he accidentally dies in combat? Sorry for requesting if you’re busy, I just really like Diluc and there’s not enough SAGAU fics about him behind the screen. If you write this req I will be eternally grateful to you!!!
(Oo!! I love doing SAGAU fics! Ty for requesting! Again this isnt proofread and english isnt my first language sighs but if you would like a part two! Just lmk! In dms or request again!
Tumblr media
• So when you first started playing genshin you absolutely loved diluc! He looked so pretty/handsome to you! •You were so excited that you got him first try, when you looked at him through the character menu he felt a strong presence, he kept on feeling it the more time he spent with you •At C1 he started to connect the dots about a divine being •C2 he could hear faint voices it sounded soft… like it was filled with care •C3 He could fully hear you, he found it surprising, is this really real..? To be fair, he was a bit pissed about being in a ‘ video game ‘ for people’s entertainment but for some reason.. you made it more tolerable •C4 He could start to see faint bright silhouettes of you when he was exploring with you, traveling, or doing commissions •C5 He could make out more of your figure, with color, your smile, your body, your hair •Finally at C6 he could see you fully, it was like you were walking with him.. side by side.. fighting with him, running with him… it felt nice, like the warmth he had never felt in a long time •This was rather quickly, him figuring this out more than anything, sometimes he tries to communicate with you with his voice lines being slightly different ‘ Thank you, for making me stronger. ‘ ’ One day, maybe i can see you, dont you agree? ‘ •Or maybe if you were grinding for his signature weapon, he would tell you to of course, take breaks from time to time with his voice lines ‘ Please, take a break, ill handle it from here.. ‘ •When you congratulate him for doing good damage he was shocked at first, but it felt nice, it felt like chains are being released from his shoulders •Hearing your soft apologies make him ponder, why is the all mighty creator apologizing..? And to him? But it also makes him think, every time he fails.. will you replace him? •Talking to him over the screen with short sentences make him smiles ever so slightly, his mouth curling up into a smile on his character •When you descended to tevyat he knew, how? The feeling of you there was to strong, it was like he was being lured to you by a leash.. •When he found you, he bowed down ‘ Your grace, please forgive my intrusive actions on greeting you like this.. ‘ •He felt warmth, more warmth that he will ever feel with your arms around him, like as if he was a young kid again ‘ Thank you.. Your grace.. ‘ •If you were seen as a imposter than he would stand by your side, he would be foolish not to •If you got caught he would turn himself in, what follower would he be for breaking the promise he made to the creator? •You and him stood together and now you will fall together, both of you getting the death penalty, colds blades to your neck as he turns to you ‘ Im sorry Your grace.. I was strong enough.. ‘ •The mix of gold and red blood trailing down your bodies, everone shocked, how could they do this..? Why did they..? Please forgive them they were foolish! •You woke up on your bed, feeling sore, scars, bruises, burn marks, all over your body you turn, seeing a strand of red hair, you lean over, seeing diluc passed out on the floor •When he woke up seeing your fave one more time, in this… ‘ new ‘ world… he wouldnt trade it for anything

New sagau idea?
This is my first time posting something on tumblr but I just wanna say that I'm getting tired of seeing the imposter! sagau au where the player/creator is so forgiving once they were declared innocent and not the imposter or something like that.
The eldritch one was good but kinda expecting to go to the dark territory. The yandere one is kinda okay but need more spicy with the creator personality. The one with letter is wholesome in a way but I'm a picky person and the player's personality is just not to my taste.
So uh, I'm just gonna drop some ideas to spice some new inspiration or something. Apologize if these aus/ideas already exist.
Indifferent god/player
You play the game to pass time, you don't even bother speaking, only staying silent the whole duration and maybe murmuring some dissapointing things on the characters when they don't reach your expectation. The characters designs are nice and maybe the personality but you don't give a damn about them. You probably don't read their story or voiceline or something. But anyway, whether they have sobs story or not, you already have enough and don't care as well.
Almost everything bore you and the only thing that keep you going is the curiousity for the ending so you tried to level up and give them the best artifacts so you can speed run or something.
Once you are inside the game, the first thing you do is sigh loudly.
You dont know who the hell is the creator they speak of that finally arrived in Teyvat cause your day is ruined from being approached by the characters who won't leave you alone. (You got that divine presence and distant looks in your eyes that made them tremble with realisation when in fact you're just annoyed with them, never giving them a single glance. "out of sight, out of mind")
You are the Watcher of Teyvat, the God of all Gods and you are finally descending to Teyvat which you create "lovingly" with your bare hands. (Not that you know about that)
Now the characters feeling towarda you can be varies. The characters may be feeling grateful because you helped them getting stronger which may lead to stronger devotion.
Your hurtful comments back in your previous world sometimes drove them insane which may lead them feeling desperate and insecure, ashamed and upset as well as letting their self confidence dwindled. Sometimes they questioned themselves why aren't they abandoned yet and why are they gifted with powerful artifacts instead? So lots misunderstandings here.
The Archons probably go crazy trying to figure out how to please you. Wanting to be by your side and show you how Teyvat came to be under their rule and after that. Use them however you wish, the rules of Teyvat bend to your will and all will act according to you. Maybe that's why their gnoses is in the form of chess pieces? For you to play and use with?
The Fatui harbingers probably have complicated feelings about you. But most probably are upset that you don't give a damn about them or glad that what they are doing doesn't offended you in the slightest and encouraging what they are doing because they thought you have no problem with what they are doing.
Can go yandere route I guess but none what the characters did will ever entered your eyes because you don't give a f*ck about them. Period. No feelings or heart to heart talk.
2) Introvert simping god/player
You are a Genshin Impact lover. You buy every merchandise possible and owned so many of their cosplay. You are probably the top 5 best genshin gamer and made some theories judging by what the game had shown you. No characters can escape your gushing as praises bullet out of your mouth. Nothing in the game could escape you cause you love them so much.
Unfortunately, as much as you love them from the roots of their hair to their fine shoes and the blackest and goodest of hearts, you don't want to be in their world.
Because you are an introvert and a simp! These combinations can't be good if you are to meet one of them!
The solution? Hide.
Needless to say, your ability to become one with the background unintentionally shut off your heavenly divine presence. You became the world's best hider, no Fatui could ever catch a glimpse of your shadow nor an Adeptus nor Archons. Always a game of mouse and cats yet theres no progress in catching the skittish mouse.
You refuse to meet them and can only look from a far. Staring with awe when they fought or walk or talk or whatever they do. It's like seeing an idol in a way.
In short, you're a stalker.
When they learn about how you look like, every place is not safe anymore. Everyone is looking for you, eager to meet you. But not you. By the power of cosplay, it's easy to avert meeting them.
And now, you are not the only world's best hider but the world's best at disguising themself as well.
3) Eldritch god/player
What if Teyvat is only one and the players is many? When you descend to Teyvat, some said you are tall, some said you are short and others said you are a male and another the opposite sex. They even said your hair was curly and black but the other refuted, saying yours was wavy and blonde.
Introducing you. A god who is all yet one individual. A god whose everything changes from one person to another's respectives. Sometimes the same person see you in a different appearance which confused many.
Your whole being is unpredictable, sometimes you're upset and then happy and then angry, all in the blink of a moment. even your accents changes, following the tongue of the one who is speaking currently.
Sometimes, when the feeling is getting intense, mostly anger, the face(s) morph into something horrible as if it couldn't decide which face(s) to take (or was it these players are feeling the same thing at once?) or what language to speak, resulting in gibberish words falling out your many mouth(s). Your eyes however are staring at the cause of your feelings, (enemy? the one that hurts you? experiment purpose?) All varieties of colours ranging from hazelnut to black.
The Archons are regal and full of divine aura, beautiful and something worthy to behold and worship.
But you are a different existence, leaning toward the dark and gory side than the Archons or the whole Teyvat.
But you are still a god, the God of all Gods.
Are you worthy to be loved and worshipped and to be behold?
Yes? No?
You're not you and you're also not them. Yet you are you and you are them.
Acceptance and violence, you have no problem to choose.
The feelings of the many you(s) are distorted and cannot be comprehend.

People: In my Inbox with really great ideas that I wanna write really bad and waiting for Pt. 3 of Boar!Creator.
Me with my Pea Brain and tiny attention span:
What if, in a SAGAU, the reader/imposter was actually straight up a psychopath. Like a literal insane person. The “Imposter” who got here first is genuinely a good person who adores all the characters and really just wants them to live happily.
Whereas the second reader gets there and their first objective is to find a way home.
And this time?
They do!
So once that happens, the thought that Genshin Impact truly is just a game sticks to their head like glue.
In real life they’re like me an angst lover, a pathetic little man/woman lover. They like to see people cry and bleed in order to get their love. A real sadist.
So they go back in.
Walk to the middle of Mond while and slice their hand with a stone, revealing the golden blood beneath their skin.
But instead of kicking their imposter out, they keep them by their side, loving and doting on them just to see the heart broken faces of their acolytes.
Or.
They allow themselves to get killed.
Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and-
Until someone finally notices their blood.
How they’d love if it was Zhongli. He’s been dubbed the most loyal. To see his expression over their crumpled dead body would leave them feeling such ecstasy they’ve never felt before.
They’d sit on their throne and watch as their acolytes cry as they don’t forgive them. As they grin down and ask where this loyalty was when they stabbed them and shot them. When they burned and froze and drowned them. When they buried them in rock and grew flowers in their lungs.
They’d force them to beg on their knees and still turn them away. To prostrate themselves before their god, and still be shooed off like scum beneath their foot.
To watch as you turned away the sick and less fortunate as a punishment for not being able to realize their true creator.
To feel like this isn’t enough. To want their blood on their hands.
To show their power over them.
They killed the Archons.
All seven.
Blood drenched the stage as onlookers screamed and cried. Their sword drenched in the divine blood.
To then raise them back from the dead.
Watch as tears stream down their face as they beg and plead for you to stop. They they’ll repent in anyway, but to never do that again.
When Venti’s voice hit a pitch they disliked, they stabbed. Over and over. Like the arrows he allowed to riddle their body.
And when they finish they bring him back one more time.
They go through all the characters who hurt them. One by one they are killed and brought back. Their blood staining their Creators skin.
They begin to push the boundaries even further.
Asking for sacrifices and offerings of higher calibers.
They asked for the skin of those who hurt them. Eyes and ears, fingers and teeth.
And to those who didn’t hurt them?
They are forced to attend a feast of their “friends” skin and bone.
Forced to eat as their creator happily munches away on someone’s thigh.
This is how to make their creator happy, right?
The disgusting sound of bones crunching as their force themselves to stomach their friends bodies.
This was their reward… right?
In both endings they dote on their imposter, loving on them to watch as their disgraced acolytes try their hardest to pray for their forgiveness.
Praying that they would fix their broken bodies.
Watching as their wounds reopened from the positions they prayed in. Blood pouring from their open bodies for them.
When the acolytes look away for less than a second they shove their fingers behind their eyes, pulling them out because “If not to keep their gaze on me, why should they see?”
When the acolytes touch another to push them away from their Creator, they force their finger back into god awful positions, ripping them off because “If not to touch me, why should they feel?”
When the acolytes taste the food not offered by their Creator, they pull their tongue out with bare hands because “If not to taste my offerings, why should they taste?”
When the acolytes smell the scent of someone else, they rip their noses from their face because “If not to smell my godly scent, why should they smell?”
When the acolytes hear the voice of another and lean towards the sound, they tear their ears right off their head because “If not to hear my pure sound, why should they hear?”
But to keep them reeled in, they offer two things.
When truly impressed, they praise their acolytes. One at a time. Slowly, teasingly. Small things. Watching as the others get jealous I’ve the one whose head you now hold in your lap. Whose face runs with tears and drool and snot as you run your hand through their hair. How they get caressed instead of slapped. How they get to feel the rare gentleness of their fingertips instead of the carnage they usually reap.
And if they’re especially lucky they’ll get both them and their imposter partner praising them and petting them.
The amount of times they had to bring back an acolyte after the others killed them out of envy was amazing.
The other way?
Using their control of the game, they’d “possess” an acolytes body, and begin killing people in that body. Sometimes they’d make everyone aware it was their Creator, sometimes they wouldn’t.
But the acolyte would have to live with the fact that the blood of those around them now sat on their hands, even if they couldn’t control it.
And they’d say that they just had to be stronger. If they’d been better. If they had just been a bit tougher. Maybe… maybe this wouldn’t have happened… maybe…
They watch as the mental states of their acolytes crumbles under their heel. As they become more and more desperate to appease their Creator and dependent on their small praise.
But the ultimate punishment. Is when they leave to return to their world.
Leaving them all behind. Probably even taking the Imposter with them.
Watching them beyond the screen as they scream and cry and beg for them back. Playing the game and completing quests as all the playable characters voice lines become pleads for them to return.
Dying over and over and bringing them back, joking that since they haven’t played for a while they’re getting rusty. Forcing them through boss fights and losing on purpose bear then end so they have to do it over. And over.
Just an asshole who fully believes that their lives don’t matter because they’re trapped in a game and they can leave at anytime.and because of their status, they can do whatever they want to these people who are so desperate to please their Creator.
… Anyway I wanna eat a cookie :3!

Bestie...
I'm trying to remain calm but
Holy-
˓˓ ⍥⃝⃝ ˒˒
I want to scream on how good you portray Zhongli like, he's not totally like grovelling off the bat. He's still got that Archon side to him. He knows that we have a little part of us that still loves him despite his actions. And the little grovelling session as we're getting f-cked silly, BESTIE I'M ROLLING AROUND IN MY BED BECAUSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH. And how delusional he is- mwah, chefs motherefffin kiss. It's the perfect balance of him still being in control despite us being the creator while he's a follower that's asking for forgiveness. Wait bestie, I'm gonna reread it again. I need to. It's delectable. Sorry for the word vomit but I NEED to say how much I love it.
Ahhh;; bestie, nonnie, my beloved ! I’m so happy you liked it !! I really like when my men are delusional enough they worship you like a deity but have a thread of awareness that reminds them they still have the ability to flip the script and force you to worship them >_>
I wanted Zhongli to be… aware (?) of his role as both a God and a believer. Like, on one hand for all his life he’s seen himself as your servant, as a follower, a sheep that follows its shepherd, a vessel for your wishes and orders, while I believe that during his early “100% Rex Lapis Edgy War God” phase he probably was really dismissive of you and your role, as he grows older he becomes one of the more fanatical, self-righteous followers who believes he knows you and your will the best - he’s older than most, he’s spent centuries being in your servitude. On the other hand, Zhongli definitely notices you’re not nearly as powerful as him, you have no Vision and your “divine powers” are not… powering. Before he realizes you are in deed the being he worshiped, he thought it was almost comical how powerless, how utterly weak you were, you had no idea where you were or how to survive - it was sheer luck and determination that kept you alive. So when he finally, after weeks of searching for you and requesting a meeting, one where an agreement between you two can be settled, he’s overly aware of the power he holds - in theory you have the upper hand, he is your servant, he’d declared himself yours and made an oath to you, but in reality, if Zhongli wanted and truly gave it his all to he could probably have taken you hostage the minute you stepped into his domain.
He really is being this “nice” because he genuinely believes this is the right way to do it, he really thinks this is the way to ask you for forgiveness; you’re weak, upset, and clearly not in the right state of mind, so he’ll just… take it into his own hands! He sees you as his god, but you’re also… weak, you need him, you need his help and power if you wanted to truly survive and thrive the way you deserve to.
I ramble a little bit about world-building UTC;; huhuhu
Tumblr media
In my interpretation of the self-aware cult/organized religion that centers you/the player as a deity, especially in Genshin, you’d have very, very limited powers if at all. I think it’d be very interesting to have a God figure who is just… not all that. You are undoubtedly the person who’s been “helping” them, you are very much the god they have been praying to, but you’re also just… human. Here on earth we don’t have Visions, we don’t have the 7 Archons, there’s no Celestia, you were only capable of your “miracles” because it was a game, because you were meant to be able to do that. With that in mind, I feel like the Archons and some more observant acolytes might be able to figure out you’re pretty much defenseless, you have no power here. I believe most, if not all, of them will eventually realize, it just so happens that in this fic - you’re in Liyue and Zhongli gets his hands on your first.
If I had to make a list of characters who might act similarly to him in the fic… it might be like: Al Haitham (he probably sees you as dumber than him and weaker), Wanderer (in his eyes you’re too naive and weak), Dottore (without the groveling, he’s meaner and more condescending but he still… respects you to some (very minimal) degree), Ningguang (she’s softer and more manipulative, she thinks of you as a pretty, weak, and delicate thing - like… a rare ornament), Ei (she gets really emotional and becomes increasingly paranoid the more she realizes how much weaker you are compared to the average Teyvat Vision user, she sees you as weak but she genuinely thinks she’s helping you), and Yae (she probably behaves like a mix between Ei and Zhongli, she feels like a more lowkey follower but she worries greatly for you and genuinely wants to protect you and sees this as her only way).

Hello, give me one for Danganronpa, Ace Attorney and Rain Code of that character ask. (angel wants to know if Yomi anf Kristoph go to super hell)
A package deal! You've sold me on the chance to ramble about so many characters. You opened the floodgates, now you're in the splash zone!
Danganronpa: Blorbo - Shuichi Saihara (No surprises here) Scrunkly - Kiibo (He's so cute man, every time I think about his blushing sprites or him wanting to be a singer I crumple up like a napkin) Scrimblo bimblo - Tenko Chabashira (She deserves so much more love, the writing did her so damn dirty by hiding all her motivations in FTEs. I will never forgive Kodaka for this) Glup shitto - Tsumugi Shirogane (She's my favorite mastermind I don't care what anyone says about her! Anyone who calls her 'one-dimensional' talks like they're stuck in the killing game behind the screen! But I know better! MY DAD WORKS AT NINTENDO!) Poor little meow meow - Nagito Komaeda (Only considered controversial because of what the fandom has done to this poor guy. He's no doubt one of--if not the--best character Kodaka's ever written, and yet I must helplessly watch as he's reduced to 'haha I like hope and I'm crazy,' which is a huge disservice to his complex and well thought out story. Sadly it's a symptom of him being dragged outside of his context by pop culture.) Horse plinko - Junko Enoshima (I dunno, she probably wouldn't mind it) Eeby deeby - Nagito Komaeda again (I had to look up the exact meaning of superhell for this. And honestly he kinda did that to himself. Now wake up Nagito and go get your man so ya can live on that island together!)
Ace Attorney: Blorbo - Kazuma Asogi (Whoops he stole the top spot from Apollo, but believe me I think about him a lot too, especially cause he wins the relatability category; social anxiety go brrrrrrr. Yet no character has had me go more feral than Kazuma and I still have a TON on my mind about him that I really need to put to written word someday.) Scrunkly - Ron DeLite (MY SWEET LIL GUY! I'd let him steal all my valuables cause he's just too darn cute!) Scrimblo bimblo - Bobby Fulbright/The Phantom (The best final case culprit for the best final case in the entire series, I will not waver in my opinion! Bobby is such a fun detective, nearing the heights of Sholmes, while also being revealed to be the identity-stealing assassin I've always dreamed of. I will run in circles forever thinking about this amalgamation of a character. Now if only he was given any official merch...) Glup shitto - Satoru Hosonaga (If Hosonaga only has one fan then that's me! If there's ever a TGAA Investigations game, he better make a cameo someway somehow!) Poor little meow meow - Matt Engarde (This could've also gone to The Phantom but it fits Matt thematically cause he's very orange cat coded to me. My first 'uh oh my favorite character is a murderer aren't they' moment in Ace. And it would not be the last.) Horse plinko - Mael Stronghart (I hate this dude I hope Klint and Genshin are beating him up as ghosts.) Eeby deeby - Kristoph Gavin (If I had a nickel for every time I turned a dynamic between a mastermind antag and a mentor figure into bitter exes cause it somehow makes their relationship more interesting than it already is, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.)
Rain Code: Blorbo - Yakou Furio (What blog do ya think you're even lookin' at right now?) Scrunkly - Shinigami (She's really adorable in her blob form with how she emotes, and she's a sweet person under all her snark!) Scrimblo bimblo - Melami Goldmine (The more I think about my personal interpretation of Vivia's backstory, the more I love Melami by association since she's got a lot going on with her as well. I'd kill to learn more about her history and if she's had any canonical affiliation or interaction with Vivia. I need them to be business partners!) Glup shitto - Nun (What's not to love about a cat-eared nun who runs a death metal choir at the church? I'd go to one of her performances any day!) Poor little meow meow - Hitman Zilch (I got real sad over him dying because I thought we'd lost the best antag in the entire game AND WE'D ONLY JUST BEGUN. This hitman has altered my brain chemistry forever and there's no cure.) Horse plinko - Dr. Huesca ("It's what he deserves," I say calmly and rationally through gritted teeth as my fist clenches and trembles with rage.) Eeby deeby - Yomi Hellsmile (If I had a nickel for every time I turned a dynamic between a mastermind antag and a mentor figure into bitter exes cause it somehow makes their relationship more interesting than it already is, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.)

Genshin Impact x Creator!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You awake within Genshin Impact, only for your favourite Characters to refer to you as their creator and for their undying loyalty to lay with you.
A/N: I hope you all enjoy this! I see this as a little introduction for whats to follow. I'm planning on doing seperate fics with you as Teyvats creator! It's pretty fun to write in all honesty! ♡
Warnings: It's not proofread i'm so sorry i'm just so lazy. ☆
A Simple Dream.
The arrival to your beloved Teyvat was rather abrupt to say the least. One moment you were residing within your bed, praying to anything and anyone that would listen to take you away from this world and take you to Genshin. The next moment? Well suddenly you stood before Windrise with Mondstat standing proudly in the near distance. This most certainly had to be a dream, didn't it?
Taking a sharp breath inward you gazed at your arms and the material that coated them. You were within your own body Yet you had taken the form that you had always desired. When playing the game you had toyed around with the desire of you being in the game and imagined how you'd look ... But this? You never realized that it would come true… Patting around your clothes you began to search to see if you had a vision, but to no avail. Then again, even being a normal citizen in Teyvat was so much better than being stuck in your own horrid realm. Wait. This means you could finally meet your favourite characters, doesn't it? Providing this is a dream… You could do whatever! A bright smile soon appeared upon your face as you immediately made your way over to Mondstat.
The walk was a little longer than you had previously intended it to be... Everything just felt so real! The fresh air felt amazing and the grass beneath you just felt so perfect. Finally you were free from your previous realm, even if it was for a little. Your eyes soon graced the gate of Mondstat, the music of the city flowing freely throughout the air.
"Welcome to Mon-" The guard began before his eyes fell upon you and instantly got upon his knees and bowed along with the other guard. "Your grace - Forgive my insolence." Stopping within your tracks, you tilted your head a little at their words.
"M-me?" He nodded in return before standing with your permission.
"You are our creator," The other began by offering you a gentle smile in return for your lost and curious expression. "Allow us to contact the Grand Master and the knights of Favonius to escort you to your destination." Your eyes lit up at this.
"Jean? Kaeya?" He nodded as the other ran off to bring them to you. During your wait, you allow yourself to stroll into Mondstat a little further, the guard following closely ensuring he keeps you safe. What a lovely dream…
"C-creator?" You heard a familiar voice speak out causing your eyes to light up again.
"Jean! Kaeya!" They bowed instantly alongside the other guards who had joined them to see if it truly was you. "Why are you bowing? Please, stand!" You grinned ear to ear.
"May we ask, why did you venture here?" Jean spoke Softly, eyes meeting your own. "We thought you didn't wish to return…" You hummed as you moved closer to where they stood.
"It's just a dream… But even if so In any world I'd always stay here!" Kaeya hummed lightly at your words,
"Your grace… It seems a slight misunderstanding has crossed you." He gave you a little side smile, one you adored. "This isn't a dream… I assure you when I say this is all real." You just hummed laughing a little.
"Oh how I wish it was…" Jean soon gazed toward an oncoming Venti, who's eyes shone upon seeing your surprised gaze. "Venti!"
"Ah, my windblume! I'm so happy you're here… I see the summoning we performed had worked and you came straight into my arms!" He paused for a moment, taking your hands in his own causing Jean to glare at him for how casual he was treating you. "I apologise I wasn't there to greet you, melody." He hummed lightly before pulling you closer his way. "We weren't sure where you'd be… But believe me, we will explain everything to you okay?" His grin made you smile, finally something made sense. He was treating you as he used to when you'd play the game… So kind and full of joy! Kaeya soon perked up, eyes staring at Venti.
"Summoning? Why did you summon the Creator?" His eyes held curiosity as Jean tried to disperse the onlookers who began to realize it was you, their grace.
"Our creator needs to be here, just please trust us. I'm certain they'll summon you around soon… Come, your grace. Let's leave." Wait. Why did his touch feel so real?
"Venti… Is this a dream?" Shaking his head, he Proceeded to guide you back toward Windtrace.
"It isn't. You lost your memory of your time being spent as the God of Gods here - our creator. You sacrificed yourself so that we could all live…" As he spoke, the usual Spark within his eyes darkened a little toward grief. "Luckily you were revived in another realm and we've been doing everything we can to bring you back the second we figured out where you were. The others are waiting for you... You saved us and now we're all going to protect you - 'kay?" Nodding slightly as you walked, You realized that what he's saying makes sense. You had never felt like you belonged in the other world... You had just preferred to spend as much time on Genshin as possible. This really wasn't a dream - It's too real to be a dream.
Soon enough you had both arrived at a waypoint and were now within Liye with several very familiar faces gazing upon you before instantly bowing. Zhongli and Xiao? Your eyes sparkled before bringing them both into your arms for a hug.
"Y-your grace?" Xiao's voice was hesitant whilst Zhongli was just purely shocked. The divine Creator themselves hugging him? Is this right?
"Awh no fair! I didn't get a hug like that! Don't play favourites Y/n!" Zhonglis eyes narrowed at him angrily.
"Refrain from referring to our divine creator so casually." You just giggled though and pulled Venti to share the hug too. You pulled back rather suddenly,
"So I'm the creator, right?" They all nodded, "So I can do as I wish?" Once again they nodded but before they could ask any questions you turned to Xiao. "Your Karmic debt… It's causing you pain isn't it?"
"This is of my own actions, I must suffer to atone. Please do not be concerned." Shaking your head you placed your hand dead centre of his chest. You weren't sure how your powers worked here or if you had any but your will alone had to be enough surely. Shutting your eyes, a comforting glow soon surrounded you both before it turned shades of green and black. You soon pulled this darkness away and crushed it within your fist to destroy it entirely.
"You shouldn't have had to suffer sweet Xiao… This shouldn't have happened and I'm sorry I couldn't stop it any sooner." You hung your head in shame, completely missing everyone's shocked gazes.
"Y-you removed it? My debt… I don't deserve this peace. Please, return it to me." You smiled lightly before holding his hand within your own.
"I am the creator aren't I? You should never have had to suffer so please... Allow yourself to feel peace." His body relaxed slightly before gazing over at Zhongli only to receive a Supportive smile and nod.
"Then I'm in debt to you... allow me to be your protector?"
"Allow us all to be… In return for the sacrifice You made for us." Zhonghis eyes shifted back to you.
"You could have easily created another Universe and left us to die… Let us care for you now, my windblume."
You had no idea that any of this was possible … But you had rapidly accepted your place as Teyvats Creator, why wouldn't you? It was a dream come true. However now all of your favourite characters were highly protective of you. This will be interesting.

Just a random SAGAU and SA:CRK thing that I’m sure others thought about
I am someone who has read multiple Cult genshin and self aware cookie run to the point this came to my head---
...What if there was an imposter AU SAGAU, then reader/darling goes to CRK?
Heres more detail:
After the genshin people kill darling, or who they believe is the imposter. They realize from golden blood, something in teyvat goes wrong, just anything that gives them the shove to realizing the truth that you are the creator? They’re on their knees. Just begging for your forgiveness as Albedo tries to bring you back, the only people who believed you were the creatures like hilichurls, abyss mages and just the monsters there in game. No one else. Just. them.
But unbeknownst to them. That was just a nightmare for you. You’re in your room, your ok. You were ORIGINALLY going to delete the game but something tells you not to, so you don’t. Then... you move onto a different game, Cookie run kingdom.
Back to their perspective. Albedo, who is accompanied by almost all of the cult soon sense a new world forming. Then they see their creator. They want to rejoice, they want to cheer. But they can’t. Cause your divine gaze isn’t on them. But at these damned cookies that appeared.
Back to your perspective till we get to the cookies, your in love with the game! The story, the gameplay, the small interactions with the cookies.. You got great stuff just from the get go, you even got almost all the cookies! You tell this to the community and all they tell you that getting so many epic and legendary cookies, hell even ANCIENTS while on episode 6 is NOT NORMAL. (yes, I specified episode 6--) Including the fact some of the voice lines they tell you? No one’s heard em! No one ever heard Pure vanilla cookie go “Well, hello dear baker.” with some loving tone, no one heard werewolf cookie say “I will protect them!” or something along your lines. Hell, you even have UNRELEASED COOKIES. Specifically the ones in ovenbreak! This makes some of the community scared for you, as devsis can’t do anything.
So, your scared. what if you appear in their world and they think you’re an imposter too?! You want to stop playing.. but that’s when the cookies go a step further in a plan made under your nose.
To the cookies’ perspective, you’re their baker. You made them, to set them free, you may be the witches’ kind.. but your not like them! You didn’t eat them, did you? No! So in short, you have both the kingdom cookies and cookies of darkness head over heels for ya. Trust me, both PV and Sea fairy cookie alomst wrecked so much stuff trying to get you to pull them out of the gacha void while Holly berry just gets DRAGGED into the mess.
Somehow, they found out about the entire genshin impostor stuff. Rest assured they will never make that mistake, baker, they will never. ever. hurt you
Espresso cookie, who is the one that usually brings you in to the game, finally finds a way to get you to them. And it works. You, their baker were with them now! You panicked though, which was fine! They know why, so they’ll do their best to help you!
Now what was happening in the genshin world, you may wonder?
chaos
They all watch as you go back and forth between your world and the CRK one, heck, the cookies even went to your world sometimes too! They watched as you played video games with twizzly, Reassure PV your fine for the 5th time, play with the kids. They can only wish it was them.
That’s until
“Baker... don’t you think you should.... erase, this?“ It was pure vanilla cookie, looking at the app with a blank stare.
Remember that tiny voice that said not to? It’s gone, it’s agreeing with PV.
So all the genshin characters can do is look at you in shock as you get the phone from pure vanilla, and erase the game.

“hwan, what about we play on each other’s account?” he raised his head from his phone, looking at you whom were comfortably sitting in your spinning chair while playing on your computer. after school, you decided to invite your boyfriend to stay at your place for the afternoon.
“you only want to do that so you can use venti.”
“and what if?” he laughed it off, coming your way. “hwan~, pretty please.”
he finally hands his phone over, and you quickly stand up to leave the chair to him.
“i was gonna say yes anyways.” you plant a soft kiss on his cheek and jump on your soft bed.
“you’re the best!”
you spend the following minutes playing in each other’s world, until you’ve finally finished all the resin.
“i’m gonna go get some water. do you want anything?”
junghwan shakes his head, so you make your way to the kitchen. you come back with two paper cups and a bag of chips, only to be met with the sight of your boyfriend dramatically faking to cry.
“hwan?.” you put the stuff on a shelf, patting softly his back. “what’s wrong, love?”
“fuck, baby. i’m so sorry.”
junghwan could swore his life flashed before his eyes as he realized he just pulled on the wrong banner, knowing you were saving for venti and you were already near soft pity.
you saw an image of raiden flash before your eyes, and you froze on the spot.
“hwan?”
“babe, i’m so sorry, i wanted to pull on the standard! but i got distracted and pulled on the character event banner.” junghwan was now begging for your forgiveness. man would’ve kneeled down here and there for you.
“hwan, it’s okay.” you gently stroke his cheek, his face lighting up.
“really?”
“no. i’m so mad at you.” his face immediately drops, and you try not to laugh in his face.
“how will i do now with no venti?” you dramatically fall on your bed, then grabbing a pillow to hug. junghwan follows your lead, going instead for your form. he hides his face in the crock of your neck, leaving feather kisses causing your act to drop and laugh at the tickling sensation.
“stop! hwan, stop! it tickles!” instead he only intensifies, starting to tickle your belly.
“then forgive me.”
“i forgive you! i forgive you! …i was just playing with you, hwan.” he finally stops, looking at you.
“i could never be mad at you. moreover for a game.”
he pecks you one, then twice. “i’ll just have to live with no venti.”
“yeah, but at least you have me.”

finals never end
summary: as finals approach, i would like to imagine that there is something more to college than studying alone in a box for 14 hours a day. so, here's a modern au of the genshin boys as college students.
Characters included: Diluc, Kaeya, Childe, Xiao, Zhongli
Diluc:
- Who are we kidding, this bitch is a legacy at some pricy Ivy League. Hates when people bring it up though since he just wants to be his own person and not rely on his family name to get through things.
- Majors in business because of course he does. Rushed a business frat because it seemed like a good idea. Didn't get a bid and has since boycotted greek life.
- Eventually people find out who his father is and he starts to get bombarded by people who just basically want to use him for networking. Gets approached by girls (and sometime guys) after class like literally every day, asking if he wants to study with them sometime or just "hang out" both because he's hot and because he's rich. He never gives them the time of day but that never stops them.
- Goes to the same school as Kaeya but ignores him every time he tries to talk to him or just come back into his life. Kaeya usually takes it in stride but every else is super confused about how the two of them actually know each other.
- Walks you home from class when it starts to get darker earlier, apparently only because he doesn't have anything better to do. A gentleman through and through.
"Don't you have a meeting right now?"
"You staying safe is more important right now. They'll understand."
Kaeya:
- You know that one guy who is always out partying and who you never see studying but somehow makes the Dean's List every single semester without fail? Yeah, that's Kaeya.
- He's probably like an engineering or hard science major too and all his friends are absolutely pissed when he fucks up the curve every single time.
"You got a 98 on the orgo final???" "What, like it's hard?"
- Not as much of a hoe as everyone thinks he is. He definitely has his fun but he's not that guy who has slept his way through his entire major.
- Surprisingly enough, he's not actually in a frat, he just always knows where all the parties are. He's that guy with a snap score in the millions because everyone and their cousin hits him up every Friday night to ask where the parties are at.
-Generally seen as a really easy person to talk too. Also really good at seeming open with people without actually ever opening up and sharing anything about himself.
- With his very few close friends however, he has some strange hobbies that he's always happy to have someone to share with.
-Will take you on a picnic date about a mile off campus where you guys each way too much cheese and crackers, drink about a bottle of wine each, and watch the stars come out as the sun sets. Give the boy some love. That's all he really wants.
Venti:
-Your local friendly performing arts major who you never find without a huge iced coffee and cuffed jeans.
- He's super involved in a bunch of student organizations from improv to a few music clubs and the like. He's that person that everyone in his major knows and comes to for recommendations about new things that they should try out.
- He's in a band! They play indie songs at rotating bars every Tuesday and Thursday night and go to conferences once a semester for aspiring artists. Also sometimes will randomly perform on the Quad and serenade the random people passing by just trying to get to class.
-Offers to play at an event a club you're in is hosting as long as there's free snacks.
- Kind of an alcoholic? Not a partier in the traditional sense, but at least twice a week, he'll host a hangout where he and anyone who decides to show up get wine drunk and watch a shit ton of Gilmore Girls. BYOB of course because there's no way he could afford it on his own. Has shown up to class still drunk before but he's cute so everyone forgives him.
- Impromptu photo shoots all the time with him. Whether its a cute random flower patch, the soft neon signs outside of a boba shop, or graffiti painted onto a building wall, everything is an insta opportunity.
Xiao:
- That mysterious kid sitting in the back of your lecture wearing all black who is both undeniably hot and also exceedingly intimidating.
- Either an animal sciences major because animals are just better than humans, or he's like like history/english and spends a lot of time reading.
- He's that guy who stops communicating after the first day of your group project and you're really worried that they're just not going to finish their work but they end up sending it to you perfectly complete like a week early. Also, will talk/text you one-on-one but dislikes group meetings and group chats.
- He's in a band too! They actually play with Venti and his friends a lot and even though he admires him a lot, he's never gotten around to actually talking to Venti.
- Doesn't let people come over because then his frighteningly large collection of Funko-Pops and anime merch will be revealed.
- Also a dancer! He's not on a team or anything since he had some bad experiences with teams when he was younger, but he heads down to the studio at least 2 times a week just to move and let out some stress. If he offers to teach you sometime, that means he really really likes you.
- Asked if you wanted to go see the Demon Slayer movie with him and then showed up in a black mask and sunglasses because he didn't want anyone to recognize him.
Childe:
- Idk why but he kind of gives off athlete vibes??? Maybe like a basketball player or something?
- A bit of a campus celebrity just in that basically everyone, even if they aren't in the same major or aren't into sports, or just basically have no connection to him, still somehow know about him.
- He's a PR major and that charm is no joke. Some people kind of despise him because of the way he is literally able to effortlessly win over all of the recruiters and just random people he meets. He's extremely well-loved and he knows it.
- He's in a frat but outside of like mandatory events, doesn't spend all that much time with them. When he does party though, he goes hard.
- Doesn't actively flirt with anyone but he's just so charming and amiable that sometimes it comes across that way. Girls are always like "he's so respectful and nice I'm in love with him." He never feels the same way.
- Extremely competitive. Like the most competitive person you have literally ever met. He has to win everything and if he doesn't, he'll just keep trying and trying until he does. Literally the worst person to play beer pong with because he's not letting you go until he wins.
- Asks you to come to his games even though you barely even know the rules. If he does see you in the crowd, he gets way too hyped but plays the best he has all season. Make sure you take the credit for it.
Zhongli:
- That guy in your required philosophy class who argues with the professor. Not in an annoying "I'm smart and want an excuse to mansplain" kind of way though. He's actually just absurdly well-read and wants to discuss things instead of just listening to someone talk.
- People get annoyed with him because he's kind of disrupting class but if you actually listen to what he's saying, his ideas make a lot of sense and are kind of a mind-fuck at times.
- Has an extensive collection of plants at home and somehow manages to keep all of them alive and thriving. Also collects antique tea sets and goes to great lengths to make sure that they are taken care of.
- Probably actually a philosophy or anthropology major. Always has a new book recommendation and he's a darling who actually reads from every genre.
- Spends his free time going to museums in the area or visiting historical landmarks that are close enough to the university. Loves walking everywhere so that he can just take time to enjoy scenery and the like.
- You mention that there's a new exhibit at the local art gallery and he says that he's actually going there that evening if you would like to join him. And I mean, why would you refuse?
A.N. I'm gonna go back to studying now! Hope you enjoyed!

I know no one would forgive me for this.....but I have to say it!
I feel like many of my followers are in the genshin community. That's sweet, even I'm a genshin fan and I recently I learned a lot of things on youtube about the tips and tricks on how to play genshin impact, how to wish, how to make a good team etc...like that.
Now that I've decent knowledge on how to play genshin, I want to share my mistakes and all the stupidity that I did when I was playing Genshin. Some of them would be funny and one of them, especially the last one will be unforgivable.....
Using my Primogems unnecessarily:
This is something everyone can relate to when they first play genshin. I'm sure everyone has wasted their primogems on the standard banner in the hopes of getting 5-star characters. After watching some youtube tutorials and reading some genshin-related posts on Reddit, I finally understood that this is a trap! I felt betrayed, but yeah, I did get c4 Keqing-s, Diluc and Mona from that banner.
2. Curse of Bennet:
So, look! When we play any RPG games like Genshin, we all tend to have a mindset that is: "5 Stars are better than 4 Stars and 3 Stars."
Even I had this mindset, when I first played the game. I always used to think that getting a 5 Star in first few rolls will be a win for me, than getting 4 Stars. I thought, all the 5 Stars are OP and I could solo through the game like it's a walk in the park. When I was doing the rerolling thing, I kept getting Bennet over and over and over again in different accounts. I started hating Bennet because of that.
Now that, I know not all 5 Stars are good, and Bennet is a S-tier character, I'm happy that I got Bennet. Now he's a battery for my Keqing main. Oh yeah! Now I'm cursed with Keqing.
3. Playing the game with Pokemon knowledge (Plsss don't laugh):
This is funny because, I love pokemon, Okay! I love games that involve some kind of strategy and puzzles. I thought playing Genshin would be easy.
When I was first introduced with elements in Genshin (Anemo, Electro, Pyro, Hydro, Geo and Dendro) I was like: "Oh, Wind(Flying type), Electricity(Electric type), Fire(Fire type), Water(Water type), Earth(Ground type) and Plants(Grass type)......So:
Pyro is weak to Hydro and Geo
Hydro is weak to Dendro and Electro
Dendro is weak to Pyro and resists Geo
Electro is weak to Geo
Geo is immune to Electro but weak to Hydro and Dendro and,
Anemo is immune to Geo and weak to electro."
I know! I was so dumb! The biggest idiot in the world! I kept playing like that until I saw things like Overload, Superconduct, Vapourize, Crystallise etc happening. That's only when I decided to read about the elemental reaction and I felt SO DUMB that I wanted to hide inside a hole and never come out!
4. The last sin, the biggest and worst ever....the sin that no one from the genshin community will ever forgive is.........................
NOT READING THE DESCRIPTIONS GIVEN FOR WEAPONS AND ARTIFACTS AND DISREGARDING THEM!
So when I got my first Diluc, do you know what claymore I gave him?........Absolutely not! I gave him the Bloodtainted greatsword when I had been blessed with a Sacrificial Greatsword in my bag. And no! I didn't give him that sword because I wanted elemental mastery, I gave him that because the sword matches Diluc's colored palette.
...........................
.........................
....................I can hear people cursing me right now. I also did the same thing for Xingqiu. I gave him Cool steel instead of Skyrider sword which is little bit better because Cool steel sword's color matched Xingqiu's design. And I was sitting here being like, Why aren't they doing any damage? Diluc----a DPS, yeah, right!, he can't even kill one hilichurl with a shield....such a trash character. Little did I was trash. But it doesn't end there....it's not just the weapons...but also the artifacts.
I disregarded artifacts so much, that I didn't even bother to fill some slots. And the slots I had already filled were of HP and Def....for a DPS character. Like I said earlier, with my pokemon knowledge, if I increase the Def stat, they will survive longer in the field and with Noelle's shield, I will be able to fight any opponent because Diluc is a 5 Star character and is already OP.
The I also didn't look at the constellations or level up their elemental skills and elemental burst after their ascension.
Hehe....Now that I have fixed that account, equipping Diluc with Sacrificial Sword and Atk per cent artifacts, Crit. Rate and Crit. Damage, he was doing so much more damage and it was beautiful.
I feel really bad for disregarding such crucial things just because I didn't feel like reading the tutorials and descriptions given for each and every weapon and artifact.
......
.........
So what did you learn, kids?
There are dumber people exist in this world. If you ever feel that you're the biggest idiot, then read this post again.

Red queen characters if they played genshin impact
(they would have to be from our time to play it, so let's imagine it as a modern au) and I may regret mixing this two things part 2
Cal
- has all 5 stars, both limited and standard banner.
- not f2p at all
- more crystals than primo gems
- thinks mondstat is the best region
- likes to fight against La Signora and hates fighting against Oceanid, since his party consists more in pyro and geo characters (i headcananon it as Diluc, Zhongli, Itto and maybe Hu Tao but he's always swapping the fourth space)
- when he started playing, he was a Kaeya main
- chose Aether
- listens mostly do boss theme music
- favorite one is Raiden Shogun second fight theme
- doesn't like fighting Dvalin
Maven
- looses 50/50 constantly, always to Qiqi
- has almost every character, but really wants Ayato
- lost his 50/50 to Keqing once, but she was already C6, so... Completely useless
- the reason Cal downloaded genshin
- could be using money to buy crystals instead of doing daily commissions to get 60 primo gems? Yeah, totally
- why he doesn't? He wants to enjoy the game and run away from reality
- got mad while fighting Raiden Shogun when he first arrived at Inazuma and lowered his world level so he could beat her
- finally won
- hates Yae Miko with a burning passion
- his favorite region is Inazuma, but prefers mondstat ost
- his team is pure elemental reaction
- kind of accidentally chose Lumine
- thought he could change it while playing
- Childe apologist
- reasons: cool backstory, cool designs, nice voice, he's hot, very strong character, he's hot, cool design
- never, ever gets good weapon
- one of his dreams in game is to get a 5 star and it's character weapon
- worse boss to fight in his opinion is Raiden Shogun and Azhdaha
Mare
- Kujou Sara and Beidou main
- wanted Ayaka, got Ayaka C1
- Gisa helped her doing her daily commissions, ofc
- her favorite region is Inazuma, not because it's the land of lighting, she just likes it and the music too
- loves fighting against Childe and Raiden Shogun (her favorite part of Inazuma's chapter was the first fight with her) and hates fighting against Dvalin
- because of the camera angle, ofc because EVERYONE hates it
- hates the fatui mages with her whole soul, because she's main electro
- and cryo cicin mages are just devil's incarnation, so she avoids them in general
- chose Lumine
- answered "emergency food" when Amber asked what Paimon was
- when she started playing, she tried to get Barbara's C6
- constantly kills Timmie's birds
- she doesn't like using bow and arrow, so she avoids wishing for characters who uses bow and arrow
- wanted a 4 star in Yoimiya's banner and got Yoimiya, a bow user
Gisa
- probably the first amongst everyone here to play genshin
- converted Shade and Kilorn, who converted Mare to play this
- somehow, almost never looses 50/50
- started as a main Lisa
- loves Liyue region and also it's ost
- chose Aether
- loves fighting against Oceanid, since she uses cryo and electro in her party
- Patiently waiting for Kazuha's rerun
- thought he would just be a 5 star Sucrose
- used to fear ruin guards, now she kinda likes fighting them
- "YELAN COM HOME"
- she really wants Yelan
Kilorn
- probably accidentally activated Bennett's C6
- he'll never forgive himself
- accidentally got Itto while trying to get Barbara's C6
- cellphone player
- can't type while fighting
- hates fighting against fatuis
- very bad at building his characters and at least one time someone will ask to help him build his characters better
- chose Lumine
- doesn't have a favorite region, but is excited to Sumeru update
- loves Liyue ost
- plays the game out of pure fun, doesn't care if he has all or none 5 star characters
- surprisingly, the first to explore the chasm
Evangeline
- her main party consists of Eula, Raiden Shogun, Kujou Sara and Fischl (fischl is there probably because it's one of her girlfriend's main)
- saw Elane playing and decided to join
- wants Yun Jin so bad but it's the only 4 star she doesn't have
- chose Lumine
- loves anything related to Liyue
- believe it or not, her favorite boss is Azhdaha because it's the only challenging thing in the game til now
- mains cryo
- Yelan wanter
Elane
- among the silvers, she was the first to play this
- Already knows Fischl's lines and repeats them with her while playing
- Raiden Shogun apologist
- loves both Liyue arc and Inazuma arc
- everytime she comes back to mondstat she finds it very nostalgic
- y'know those little elemental plants? Yeah, she hates them too
- loves fighting against Childe and La Signora, and is patiently waiting for Scaramouche to become playable or a boss
- chose Aether
- hates fighting cicin mages in general and the hydro and cryo fatui duo
- almost never looses 50/50
- got Diluc as her first five star, but she wanted Jean and never even leveled Diluc past lvl1
- probably in the fandom
- will probably scream once she sees Dottore in-game
Farley
- Saw Shenhe and knew she had to get her
- got her after 10 wishes
- the slowest of the character's in playing, since she plays it only sometimes and after maybe 3-4 updates
- but she build her characters well
- probably loved the Windbloom festival and the second lantern rite
- chose Aether
- hates fighting La Signora, because her main party consists of Chongyun (cryo), Shenhe (cryo), Thoma (pyro) and Barbara (hydro)
- probably listens to the Inazuma OST while working
- favorite OST is Raiden Shogun boss fight theme 2
- may or may not shed a tear in Imperatrix Umbrosa act II
Shade
- got Gorou and never ever thinks of removing him from any of the four partys
- loved the Windbloom and Lantern Rite festivals so much
- tried to get Xiao, lost it to Diluc
- now he has a level 1 C6 Diluc
- chose Lumine
- hates fighting against Childe but almost everyone in his party needs one of Childe's material drops
- Uses Rosaria because she reminds him of Farley
- trying to get Gorou's constellations
- really wants Kokomi rerun
- he's still waiting for it
- but Childe got three reruns :D
- also, he hates Ajax/Childe

Archon Quest Chapter I: Rewritten
(Part of my Genshin Impact Headcanons (things that blatantly go against canon but I’m pretending at true) series.)
Hi guys I really hated the Liyue Archon quest, but I don’t want to because Liyue really doesn’t deserve that. So I mixed it up a little to fix the main problems I had with it.
In this post:
Ningguang is the Geo Archon and Liyue’s Archon. She is “Morax”, with “Ningguang” as her modern name. Details such as Morax being of the original Seven and writing contracts with all adepti applies to Ningguang.
Zhongli is only an adeptus, not the archon, at any point. His original and official name is “Rex Lapis”, with “Zhongli” as the name that he’s using as a mortal.
Mainly, I wanted to remove Zhongli from the position of Liyue’s Archon entirely, because I his character is much more likeable that way (to me).
I’ll be marking parts that are the same as the original version with a *.
So, here’s how I would have the storyline play out in the game with my version of the Liyue Archon quest:
Traveller goes to Liyue Harbour as instructed by Venti*. They aren’t told that there’s any time limit, Morax simply governs the people directly rather than descending once a year. However, few ever get the honour of seeing Lord Morax (Ningguang), and her decrees are mainly spread by her direct underlings and the Qixing (Keqing and others).
When Traveller arrives, they set to work asking the ordinary citizens about Lord Morax and how to meet her. The citizens tell her the same spiel* about how the Qixing control Liyue. Here, the conversation/argument between the citizens is brought up about whether the Qixing should be given any credit compared to the Adepti. They eventually direct Traveller to Yujin Terrace*, because they can pray to the Adepti there.
At Yujing Terrace, there are people milling about, but they have not gathered for a specific event. They walk around and pray and act like normal NPCs.
Traveller makes wishes at the altars as per in-game and talks to some people which gives her insight on what the Liyue people tend to wish for. As she heads to the last altar, the cutscene triggers.
In the cutscene, we see the body of the Dragon Rex Lapis fall from the sky*, but the crowd isn’t originally crowded around the body, rather they move towards the body after they see it fall.
(For this part, basically Rex Lapis is declared dead*, and I’ve chosen to introduce Ganyu here arbitrarily) Ganyu appears suddenly from the sky, attracting the camera view and the attention. She jumps towards the body, and declares that this is the Mighty Adeptus Rex Lapis, and that he has been murdered. She declares that “Lady Ningguang will not forgive the culprit.”
The millelith begin securing the area accordingly, and Paimon panics*. We could have the sneaking quest again, but alternatively we could just skip straight to the next cutscene: while Traveller tries to escape, Childe grabs their hand and tells them “Come with me.”
(Childe had been in the area of Yujing Terrace earlier, but Traveller didn’t have the chance to talk to him yet because he was near the last altar, where the cutscene would trigger when they got close.)
Once they’ve escaped, the same conversation* happens where Childe tells them he’s a Fatui, Traveller prepares to fight him, Childe convinces them that they need his help, gives them the Sigil of Permission for Jueyan Karst, etc. Childe has to convince them that they’re a suspect a little more compared to the original, and amps up the blame on the Qixing*.
Traveller’s Jueyan Karst journey is the same*. However, the dialogue is a little different: the Adepti question why Ningguang sent a mortal to deliver the message to them, then they ask why she didn’t send a message at all. They are more enraged than ever over the death of Rex Lapis, whom they consider to be a friend and ally rather than the one they owe loyalty to.
After that’s done, Traveller returns and Childe introduces them to Zhongli*. It’s similar, but Zhongli explains that he has been instructed with the honour of carrying out the funeral for Rex Lapis, and as such will get to meet Lady Ningguang. If Traveller helps him out, he’ll bring them with him to meet her. Traveller agrees*. Childe is still funding*.
While the whole shopping fiasco with Zhongli could go exactly the same*, I think it’s more fun to merge Yanfei’s quest into it. Yanfei offers her services after Zhongli has trouble obtaining specific materials, and throughout the quest they can run into similar legal/scammy/bargaining scenarios. When Yanfei parts ways with us, she admits that she’s an adeptus but points out that the city needs legal advisors like her more than they need adepti*.
(Adding Yanfei’s quest here would be great because we would be introduced to Liyue’s culture of contracts early on, helping us understand Liyue better and hitting all the significant people anyway. It would also make a nice contrast with Zhongli’s cluelessness, and show the difference between adepti who are stuck in traditional ways vs adepti who were able to adapt.)
Zhongli brings Traveller to dinner, where they’re finally personally approached by Ganyu and invited to the Jade Chamber*. Zhongli says that it seems we don’t need his help after all since we’ve gotten the invitation by ourselves, but asks us to come to the funeral later anyway. Paimon assumes we won’t see Zhongli again until the funeral.
We meet Keqing on our way to the Jade Chamber*. She doesn’t ask us not to side with the Adepti exactly, but instead scold us a little for getting the Adepti involed at all. She says that “The Adepti live so far away from Liyue Harbour that they would never have known if you hadn’t told them.” Traveller also asks her how she knows that the adepti know, since we haven’t seen them since, and Keqing responds that Ningguang must trust the Qixing with this information, since they run Liyue with her.
In the Jade Chamber: (I can’t actually remember much of the dialogue from the original version...) but it should be similar-ish. The scene would probably be extra flashy to emphasise that she’s an Archon at first, then as she insists on being casual the filtering gets casual too. Ningguang tells her how much she trusts her, some of the history of Liyue (them coming together to protect Liyue during the war), and how the Adepti are angry with her about Rex Lapis’ death. She talks about the Fatui and how they’ve been trying to get a foothold here. She notes that she admires how Mondstadt has prevented them from having a hand in their running, but having a Harbringer in their city makes it difficult to push back against them. Ningguang asks Traveller what they think about Keqing, then sighs and says that she is very capable but very young. She mentions Yanfei, and explains that she is unique because she is half-adeptus and also very young. Traveller asks whether she thinks there’s no way for the rest of the Adepti to adapt to modern Liyue, and about Rex Lapis, and Ningguang skirts around those topics.
Traveller gets the information of the second Fatui base from Ningguang’s wall*. After that, actually going to the location is probably in Part 4.
When Part 4 starts, Traveller goes to the base, raids it, and finds the Sigils of Permission*. They are then caught by Childe. In the dialogue that follows, Paimon and Traveller accuse Childe of several things, including goading him that his plan of using Zhongli didn’t work. Childe laughs and reveals what we think is his whole plan: summon an Ancient God to attack all of Liyue Harbour. He says that leaving Traveller to babysit Zhongli was just to distract them, since he knew they would meddle with him otherwise. He also says that Morax, the Qixing and the Adepti are fighting each other now, and don’t have time to do anything except argue.
Traveller fights him*. The fight is pretty much the same, with him triggering his delusion and using Foul Legacy and being introduced as Tartaglia*. After he finishes fighting Traveller in Foul Legacy, he regrets it a little and says that he got carried away, but since Traveller is on the ground (conscious but) he begins the summoning for Osial.
(All of that can still take place in the Golden House with just an extra “Follow Childe” quest or by placing the Fatui base nearby and having Traveller follow a trail to there. I did think it would be cool if the base was in the Guyun Stone Forest instead, exactly where Osial was summoned. So after the summoning, Paimon yells at Traveller to teleport a distance away)
Cutscene where Traveller meets up with Ningguang, the Qixing, and the Adepti*. Paimon expresses surprise that they’re not fighting each other, they say that they’ve put aside their argument until Osial has been stopped, so on*. The fight and strategy would be almost identical, with Ningguang creating the platform and ballistas, and Traveller fighting the Fatui with the blessings of the Adepti.
This next cutscene is crucial. Instead of one of Osial’s attacks destroying the platform, one of the Fatui’s portals opens up behind Ningguang. Childe launches out from it and takes her Gnosis out of her body the same as with Venti. Ningguang’s concentration is broken and she nearly faints, which causes the whole platform to start breaking. Then Zhongli crashes in, catching Ningguang from her fall and immediately attempting to fight Childe. Childe is confused (“Zhongli-xiansheng..?”) and shocked, but Zhongli doesn’t try reasoning with him or saying anything at all, instead trying to fight him immediately. Childe is excited to engage in the fight, while Zhongli gets hurt immediately and is confused at why he’s so weak. However, the fight doesn’t last more than a few seconds, as Childe starts to run and Ningguang (weak and collapsing) tells Zhongli that they have to focus on protecting Liyue first, and the other Adepti go “This aura... Rex Lapis?”
They drop the Jade Chamber on Osial to defeat him*. Now comes the part where they explain everything that has been going on. The Adepti and the Qixing alike demand answers, the Adepti especially expressing that Zhongli has to be Rex Lapis. Ningguang explains most of it:
Some time back, Rex Lapis came to her saying that he wants to die. He’s tired from losing all of his old friends and working endlessly. “While I understand that it is the terms of my contract to serve you and Liyue, is there any way for this contract to end?”
(Zhongli notes that his experience with Yanfei showed him that contracts are much more complicated than they used to be)
Ningguang had agreed, because she thinks that Liyue is much safer than it was when she had signed those contracts with them, and if that was what Rex Lapis wished then so be it. However, she also thought it was too big of a decision to just not make use of.
The plan was that Rex Lapis would fake a very public death. After doing so (killing his original body) the rest of him would go into a human body where he will die at whatever human lifespan he made it to. This would allow Rex Lapis to live as a mortal under the name Zhongli for what to him was a very short amount of time. But because most of him was killed, he lost almost all of his power, reducing him to really just a mortal (still really strong, just weak in comparison to how he used to be as a Dragon and an Adeptus), which he unfortunately only realised the implications of when he couldn’t protect Ningguang from Childe.
The Adepti get angry and teary at Zhongli, saying that they really thought he was dead and scolding both of them for keeping it a secret. We get a few more emotional lines.
The plan was that Rex Lapis would fake a very public death. Ningguang would use this to stir up the people and sow distrust towards the Fatui, using it to drive them out. From her reports of Zhongli, she eventually guessed that Childe was planning to attack her at some point of the funeral shenanigans, which she was prepared for and planning to make use of. In short, she was hoping to get rid of the Fatui by using Rex Lapis’ death as a cover/excuse/catalyst.
But the Osial situation was beyond her expectations, and she wasn’t prepared for that. She doesn’t explain exactly what the Gnosis is to the people present, merely saying that it is important, and Keqing quips that Ningguang looks like hell right now. This launches into the Adepti vs Qixing conversation*.
The Adepti accuse Ningguang of not trusting them and trying to cut them out in favour of these mortals. The Qixing retort that the Adepti were only useful today because they needed to fight, even arguing that Cloud Retainer’s technology could only be put to use in the form of weaponry and nothing else. Madame Ping mediates the most*. Ningguang tells the Adepti that it wasn’t that she doesn’t trust them, but that she didn’t want them to have to get involved when they had already distanced themselves and were living peaceful lives in seclusion. She takes the Qixing’s side, but tries to explain to the Adepti why. The scene ends similarly to the original*. As they leave, the Adepti tell the Qixing and other humans to call them whenever Liyue needs their help.
That’s the end of the dramatic scene. At the funeral, things go pretty much the same*. Traveller hears people talking about the Fatui being the cause of everything* (Ningguang milked the Osial situation completely*). The Fatui are also blamed for Rex Lapis’ death. If the millelith still does make a speech, it would be that Lady Ningguang is cracking down on getting the Fatui out, which is met with positive reactions. Ningguang gives a speech at the funeral which honours Rex Lapis and reminds the people to work together for a new future of Liyue, but it would be less dramatic than the original.
When we talk to Zhongli, he explains some things: When he turned human, Ningguang gave him some money and a job and asked him to practice being human because she intended to give him an allowance to live on in the future. With the limited knowledge he had from never being a human before and the intense studying from a few books on funerals, Zhongli did his best. (He’d also accidentally fallen in love with a Fatui Harbringer oops). Traveller asks him what he’ll do now since he has some years left before his human body dies and he replies that he has absolutely no idea. After some thought, he mentions “I wonder whether Childe will forgive me...”
Traveller probably talks to Ganyu instead of Ningguang for the final ending (the part where they tell them about Inazuma*).
End.
Okay um so some notes about why I made Zhongli not-the-archon:
I was really frustrated that he seemed to not care about the mess he was making in Liyue at all. By making him a normal adeptus, it’s much more acceptable for him to walk away from all his duties because the responsibility doesn’t fall solely to him. Not only is Liyue not falling apart because their main Archon is still there, but he doesn’t bear the actual main responsibility at all.
Zhongli’s cluelessness when it comes to mora doesn’t make any sense if he was supposedly managing the whole country until last year. Plus, Liyue even trades with all other countries, so it’s not like he’s never had to be worried about losing money. By making this the first time he’s really experienced human society, his unbalanced knowledge and behaviour can seem more cute than incompetant. Even his rigidness towards his contracts and the details of the funeral can be explained because he’s probably also been living in seclusion like everyone else.
In the original story, Zhongli stood by while everyone else fought Osial, even though he still had his Gnosis, even though Liyue and all his Adepti’s lives were on the line. In this version, it was possible for Zhongli to interfere in the fight while still losing, because he was already a mortal. It makes him far more compelling because he actually tried to help.
The contract with Signora. We don’t know (yet) what the terms are, so for the the contract is just very annoying. It only serves to convince me that the Gnoses can’t actually be that important. Anyway, dramatic gnosis-stealing scene is what I prefer. At least we can have sympathy for the character - I can’t admire Zhongli for whatever smart decision he made because I don’t know what it is.
Overall, if you change Zhongli to a normal Adeptus, almost all of his existing dialogue reads much better without needing any changes, because the explanation is satisfactory.
Why make Ningguang Morax, then?
Ningguang is already introduced as if she is a god. People tell folktales of her, she displays complex high-level magic that we haven’t even seen Zhongli do (that platform and ballistas), she lives in a literal floating island in the sky that she built, etc. She’s also already running Liyue and doing well at it and has a strong sense of responsibility towards it. It makes sense for her to be the Archon.
Why not Keqing? First of all, Keqing’s elemental and physical abilities aren’t portrayed as particularly special (all of this is based on story bits, not the game mechanics). While she seems capable, the game doesn’t originally give her enough buildup and credit, and she’s portrayed as younger and more stubborn. But most importantly, Keqing is the key person on the Qixing side of the argument, so she needs to remain a Qixing.
Why add Yanfei’s quest in the middle:
The Liyue Archon quest went way too fast without getting us close to Liyue itself. Zhongli’s quest is meant to get us close to them, but he only brings us to people and spouts trivia. Yanfei’s quest embodies the “Contracts” aspect of Liyue so well and it would be really useful to go through that quest before we had to fight to defend Liyue.
If you compare Liyue to Mondstadt and Inazuma, you’ll see that you automatically get close to Mondstadt because it takes a long time to level in the early days of playing. Meanwhile, Inazuma requires you to complete Yoimiya’s quest (which shows the culture of “Eternity” in Inazuma) and Ayaka’s quest (which shows the people whp want to escape the “Eternity” in Inazuma, although Yoimiya’s quest is more important). Liyue doesn’t require any quests in between at all, yet players don’t neccessarily spend time there idly, so it’s hard to get to know Liyue.
Alternatively, Yanfei’s quest could just be a required quest between the parts instead of being integrated into the main Archon Quest itself.
Thanks for reading the Geo Archon Ningguang version of the Liyue Archon Quest.

September Drabble Challenge Day 26: Final
“If you’re the final thing I see, I’m ready to die.” “If you think I’m letting you die after the confession you made, you’re mistaken.” “Zhongli, what—Wait where are you going?” Gui didn’t get a chance to stop Zhongli as he shouldered past Gui to move into the back room of the Bubu pharmacy. Baizhu, who was talking to QiQi looked up in surprise before speaking up. “QiQi go up front with Gui, okay?” QiQi said nothing, but did leave. “What happened?” “Took on too many enemies.” Zhongli set down the injured Childe. “Ah, well the Fatui are idiots.” “I’m not dead yet so I can still hear you.” Childe groused before closing his eyes again, focusing on not feeling the pain. This wasn’t as bad as the after effects of his Delusion anyway. “I wasn’t being silent on purpose.” “Will you help or not?” Zhongli asked and Baizhu was surprised at the usually composed Zhongli with a pallor face. “I’ll help. But it won’t be cheap.” “Ever the greedy doctor.” Childe mumbled before Zhongli spoke again. “Whatever the cost.” “What an interesting day this is going to be.” Changsheng said with a snicker as Baizhu got to work.
I would be sorry I’ve written a lot of Genshin drabbles this month but there’s so many interesting ships in the game that I can’t help it. I’ve never written this ship so forgive me if it’s a bit OOC. Childe is canonically battle thirsty so even though he’s a great fighter, if he was overwhelmed, of course he would be injured. We don’t know much about Baizhu as of yet but we do know he’s greedy lol. Also I’m pretty sure Zhongli could use his powers to help Childe too somehow? I don’t know XD. Anyway yeah, uh, enjoy the double drabble? Lol. This is for Day 26 (The Word of the Day is Final) from this delightful challenge list here! Also there will be a part 2 to this before the month ends. Thanks!
