Is fe warriors good? I played a lot of hyrule warriors and liked it but for this one ive always heard mixed results
yeah I think it’s really fun lmao, I have around 150 hours on it + all the DLCs (apologies for being a geek)
I have……. SO MUCH i wanna say about this game I’m physically restraining myself from ADHDing about warriors. Uhh I made a pros and cons list under the cut because it accidentally got long :/ sorry
Pros: Story is simple but i liked it, gameplay is REALLY fun, the writing is surprisingly good, some of the supports are genuinely really funny, history mode is great, I’m having a Lot of fun going through and full-clearing the game, the soundtrack is actually overall stellar with a few terrible songs mixed in, Xander Mobus killed it as Darios, and the ending actually ended up making me cry which is more than fates can say
Bonus pro for Minerva she has a voiceline for taking over a fort and i always mishear it as “this place is now OUR place”
Cons: story is simple, It’s all fe13/fe14, there’s hardly any archanea, despite marketing it with marth he only appears in the second last map, the warriors exclusive characters are pretty shallow, gameplay can absolutely get repetitive, most of the characters are infantry sword users and outside of that there’s not a lot of variety, all the archers share movesets and all of the pegasus riders do too, every DLC character is a rehash of another character in the game (Navarre = lyn, Owain = ryoma, minerva = camilla, etc), camilla and niles fucking exist and force me to look at them
EDIT: final con i forgot.   Most of the non-lord characters in the game so not get a signature weapon unless you buy the DLC.  I bought the awakening dlc for Owain specifically, and was actually surprised to see Frederick and Lissa were given weapons, so...... that actually sucks lmao I really wish they were treated better
so uhh……Yeah idk what I was trying to do with this.  Anyways TL;DR i absolutely enjoy the game but it’s definitely not for everyone……. i guess

Spent a fuck ton of my holiday spends today! Got FE14 because I finally saw it for less than £30, Rayman Origins (the only Rayman game I’ve never played lmao), Wolf Hall, and Never Let Me Go (because my Lit teacher’s put me in a major Ishiguro mood, help).
I also bought three bags of fudge from Morrisons and a cactus, because I’m full of excellent life choices.

Pika’s Tale of Getting into FE
Hey guys, i'm here to regard on that ask on why I got into fire emblem. i’ve been familiar with fire emblem ever since smash. i’ve known marth, roy, and ike. however, as much as i like playing them, they didn’t introduce me into fire emblem. Like our admin Sylv, I got into fire emblem via fe13. The thoughts of trying out an fe game came from me searching for demos to play on the demo shop. I saw fe13's demo on the eshop, and I thought, "hey, why not? I'll try this out." And so I did.
When i first played the demo at around august, i must say despite two chapters are available to play, this really convinced me to get fe13. especially watching “marth’s” cutscene. so when i bought fe13 on 2014 of september, i absolutely fell in love with the game. the characters have really left an impression of me, the supports were really great to read, the story was really memorable, and the music is wonderful. i absolutely adored the game. hell, i have 500+ hours all spent on this one game. all i have been doing throughout that year was reblogging art about it, drawing the characters and playing the game.
after a couple months of awakening, i found out that fe7 was on eshop on the wii u. when i first saw the game, i was like “omg, that’s where that green haired pretty lady lyn is in!” so i decided to buy it from there. like awakening, i fell in love with the game instantly. i absolutely adored the characters such as the main three lords, ninian, florina, serra, erk, and many more. i loved the story a lot, the art, along with the sprites were really great, and i love the music. what also really got me was the gameplay. it was so much different from awakening’s.. and i like it even better. despite awakening giving us the option to hold as many skills as we please, the endless grinding has always been a pet peeve for me...
After playing fe7, i jumped to fe8 because it was in eshop as well, played it, and i enjoyed it a lot, as well. By the time i’ve finished fe8, fe14 has came out. despite hearing the negative sides from, i still decided to play it. fe14... didn’t left an impression for me to be honest. i’ve only played through conquest. only the newly updated gameplay that combined fe13 with the older fe games, along with a few tweaks, made fe14 enjoyable to me. i don’t remember to story all too well, and i didn’t grow all too attached with the characters. only a few, but that’s it. i lack the motivation to complete birthrights and buy revelations... so i skipped it, and maybe i’ll give it a chance in another day...
after conquest, i jump to fe6 by emulator, and i loved that game as well. not only that it serves as the sequel to fe7, but i love the story as well. i finally get to learn more about roy, and i get to learn how the years have gone by after fe7. i jump to fe9 by emulator, and while i have not completed the game yet, due to lack of time, i know how it ends, and some of the character’s backstory. i really love fe9 as much as i love the elibe series and awakening. i loved ike so much, along with soren, jill, and mist. a lot of other characters have left an impression to me, as well. the story was really intriguing, so is the gameplay.
so yeah, after all of that, i begin to contribute more to the fandom by making some art, along with bringing in a couple of silly posts, and to this day, i’ve played 6-8, 13, and 14 (conquest), parts of 9 and 11 and i’m now one of the 3ds outreach mods. i may be the least experienced out of the mods in here, but i am interested in playing the jugdral games, gaiden, radiant dawn and archanean games later on in the future. while i’m not able to play these games at a time like this, i do wish for everyone to try out the older games in their spare time!
