If you finished the lust arc how would you rate Mikado as a father from 1-10

I can understand why he'd choose the path he took, given everything (I'm not saying I approve, just that I can see how someone would decide to take that path), but he quit in the middle of chess games when Misono probably would have won

Overall, 6/10 imo. Not the worst, but the dude needs some therapy for wife's death and the events leading up to it and some parenting classes. If he actually accepts that his kids aren't little kids anymore and can make decisions on their own and can handle their own past (by this I mean take those boys to therapy), then he'll climb a point.

#pei answers things #i used to be a psych major and i can for sure say they've all experienced something they should have gone to therapy for #also I'll probably almost never give a 10/10 for parent rating because truly perfect parents rarely exist even in fiction #but as a general rule 1-4 is bad. 5-6 is 'average. not great not terrible' & 7-9 is great #if he didn't clearly care about Misono and the impact the knowledge would have on him I'd rate him a 4 #i feel like there's probably a lot of uninvolved parenting going on there #what with him away on business and Lily & the servants doing most of the day to day caring for Misono #i feel like we'll learn more about him and Mikuni's relationship at some point so this rating may change depending on that
