Hi, I just learned that tenzin and pema have a 16 year age gap. If I was lin I'd hate him too, like wtf.

Imagine your boyfriend of like at least 10 years breaks up with you because a 20 year old confessed to him. Your almost 40 year old boyfriend. I'd Chop his dick off.

Tenzin was 51 in book one and pema was 35. Jinorra was 10 meaning pema had her at 25 and was pregnant at 24. Presumably they dated and married first, so like she was max 23 but probably younger. With 38 year old tenzin.

And like, you can't say it's not weird on tenzin's part. No matter how you argue it that was a wack decision.

And if you look deeper based on the avatar wiki, not much in known about pema besides that she had a hard time adjusting when her parents brought her to become air acolytes and once she birthed airbenders she gained respect from the other acolytes. I get bad vibes. I get felt isolated and latched onto someone who was passively polite to her vibes. I get regardless of how it worked out it was a messed situation (because of tenzin) vibes.
