@fabdante
gotham is exactly the right amounts of wet and socioeconomically unstable to have spawned an INSANE grunge scene you just know their local shit is like the sonic equivalent of getting hit over the head with a car battery

The foxes music taste as judged by me, absolutely nobody :)
Neil
This bitch listens to grunge, I have never seen a more grunge inclined character
He didn’t listen to much other than the radio while on the run so this taste was picked up later
After a lot to trial and error on the foxes part Aaron (surprisingly) introduced him to grunge. It was the first step in a big gap to cross, and helped him and Aaron understand each other a bit better
It was love at first listen
Andrew
He’s a punk bitch all the way
Never out grew his emo phase
On a serious note he’s a lyric listener. He likes artists who’s music means something to them and write about experiences or pain.
Listens to Chase Atlantic while driving
Aaron
Grunge
He knows everything about the Seattle scene and loves Nirvana and Pearl Jam
Seriously ask this bitch about it he wants to talk about it!!!
Music was one of the things he could keep to himself. It has always been his lifeline.
Allison
Either listens to girl pop or straight up rap
She picked up a taste for rap in high school as a fuck you to her parents who hate that type of music
Loves Ashnikko,Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B
Will absolutely blast The Girls when handed the aux. anytime, anywhere.
Practice? Catch WAP playing in the background. Yes everyone on the the team knows all the lyrics.
Renee
Indie bedroom pop, but has a strong appreciation for punk
Likes artists like Cave town and Chloe Moriondo
She and Andrew often have discussions about punk music, and they usually play punk when sparring
She used to be big into punk but after her adoption and name change she began to shift away. She wasn’t so angry at the world anymore and let herself enjoy softer things.
Kevin
Classical when studying, alt indie all other times
Blasts classical music when studying the block out all distractions.
Clair de lune reminds him of his Mom. She used to play it on the piano when he couldn’t sleep. He can’t listen to it without his chest hurting.
Loves Lorde and Arctic Monkeys, they remind him of freedom and his new life outside of the nest.
Matt
Pleasedontkillme
He likes country. He has a truck he likes county.
HOWEVER he will listen to just about anything that suits him at the moment.
Definitely has a very well rounded music taste and has the best playlists
Is the default aux holder because he actually makes an effort to play something everyone likes at some point
Dan
Indie rock, rock and a pinch of grunge
Anything with a good beat will do, she’s the type to blast the music in the car to feel the vibrations
She does like pop too but appreciates the soul in smaller artists
Girl pop reminds her of her sisters and she can’t help but smile every time it comes on.
Also has fantastic playlists and the best Spotify layout ever,
Nicky
Will literally listen to anything.
If it has a good beat and a good vibe it’s going on the playlist
Has a few special songs tho, Yellow by Coldplay reminds him of the twins. He plays it a lot when he moves back to Germany.
Like Real People Do by Hozier has a place deep in his heart. He and Erik slow danced to it at 3 am in the kitchen by refrigerator light and he cried because he thought his chest was going to burst with happiness. He had never felt so loved and complete.
His and Eriks first dance at the wedding is to that song.

Chilling tales of Riverdale, a crossover fic
Chapter 6 of a old fanfic but stil alive that is a mix of Riverdale, CAOS and Archie horror. Located in season 2 and will have differences with the canon for both shows. This fanfic contains corrections for something that bothers me in the canon like the fact that Toni's actress is not a first nation (this detail is there but presented differently and I hope to use the terms correctly ), the weird thing with the multi-cultural neo-Nazi (plus I go with the comic book where Archie is Jewish), the impacts of the snake dance, Joaquim (because it's weird that these friends talk about it exactly once in 22 episodes and in a disposable sentence), for Sabrina's family, as shocking as it sounds, given the dates given, yes Sabrina's father is literally 10 years older than Ambrose in  the show canon (not the actors, I know but it's worth wondering if Ambrose is aging well or if Edward is aging badly)and yes, you can find Toni or Sabrina pretty bitchy towards one or the other but don’t be afraid, no one is going to become a bad guy for the purposes of the plot, I just think they would have tensions between the two given the situation (I really like the two chararctere and I expect a possible friendship because who doesn't like Vitriolic Best buds?)Sorry, it was a long explanation, but I didn't want people to misunderstand my intentions.
*******************************************************************************************
-What do you think of Archie's plan? Asked Betty of Kevin.
-That it may come from a noble intention, but it will end badly.  You know how many accidents happen because a few idiots thought they knew better than everyone else," replied the young man. -And let's just say, if I'm willing to trust Archie, I doubt a little more about Reggie or Dilton. But we're a little hypocritical of ourselves.
-What do you mean? Asked Betty surprised her.
-Hello Betty, the whole Jason Blossom case where we played Scooby-doo? Call Kevin back.
-Maybe but we must do something... Me and Jug met tonight to read some documents that will help us with the black hood case. Do you want to come?
Kevin was surprised by the invitation asking if Betty is still trying to make amends but realizes that the runaway was at her boyfriend's house. Yeah, he was going to let him benefit from the doubt.
-Isn't that going to stress your guest out?
-Sabrina? Uh, I don't know, she seems really in need of human contact, I guess he won't have a problem. We just must avoid talking about where it comes from. She almost had a panic attack when I tried to talk about it. And I hope you like cats.
Once in front of Jughead's trailer, Betty and Kevin will knock on the door. Toni open them up.
-Hello Toni," said Betty, surprised to see her there. -I didn't know you'd be here.
- Jugh told me about your project and it's a subject I'm passionate about too. I see you brought someone along too.
-Oh yes, here is Kevin Keller, said the young woman to introduce her friend who reached out to her.
-Hi.
-Toni Topaz, said the interested party, but she did not take his hand. -In, Jugh is gone looking for food for everyone and I stayed here to babysit Poison Ivy.
-I heard that! Shouted a voice in the Caravan.
-That was the goal, Toni replied.
As Betty and Kevin entered, Sabrina came to meet them. She looked much more presentable than when Betty saw her in the drinks. She had worn a vintage horror red t-shirt, a short black skirt, a big jean jacket with a wool lining, knee socks with striped , mary-James, un gold necklace and the headband given by Toni held her short hair in place.
-Betty! I am happy to see you again," said the girl smiling.
-I am also happy to see you again Sabrina," Betty replied surprised by the welcome. -This is Kevin," she continued.
Sabrina looked up at the young man with an intriguing look before reaching out.
-Hello Kevin, it's nice to meet you.
-I also like your cute grunge loli look, I especially like your Gremlin shirt," Kevin continued, watching it blush.
-Thank you, it's probably one of the most representative things in my wardrobe... Most of my clothes are practical.
-Oh what a shame, maybe Ronnie can lend you something...
Kevin kept talking with Sabrina about everything and nothing that probably lowered her defenses, Betty hoped.   She went to Toni wondering what to say to her: she wanted to silence that stupid feeling of jealousy in her and become friends with that person whom Jughead clearly appreciated but she had no idea how to interact with that person. She decides to try the banality.
-I hope we have enough for everyone," she tried clumsily. -You will tell me what we owe you and Jughead.
-You will ask your non cousin, she is the one who is buying, Toni replied.
Betty was surprised to see that Toni knew the lie to invent about Sabrina's origin (she was her cousin exception if the question was asked by the Cooper or the Sheriff, then it would be Jughead's) but let it go
-Oh, that's nice of him.
-No, it's necessary. Because personally, if I were Jug, I'd throw away everything in my fridge!
-I'm not sure I understand," Betty said troubled.
Toni sighed before explaining below:
-You know the Ghoulies who attacked you?
-Yes?
-She didn't just beat them, she poisoned them.
-What? Says Betty surprised. - How? How? Are they...?
-With a mushroom junk from which she had covered her broom. They are in the hospital, Miss swears that even if it has violent effects it can be treated well and without any backlash but still. Personally, I won't eat what she's cooking just so we know more about Jolly Jane. Note, having a criminal mind could be useful even if there is a world of difference between a teenage poisoner whose primary purpose is not murder and a guy in his forties who kills by violent means such as a gun or knife. Both are motivated by punishing someone they consider having committed a crime.
Betty was speechless when she heard the revelation; it was a little too much for just five minutes.
-I... she... how did you come to that conclusion?  Does it end with a request?
-Jug and I have to investigate," Toni answered proudly. -And she has no choice but to confess.
-I see, said Betty trying to untangle what she was feeling. -But you said she didn't want to kill them?
-That's what they lend and for what I learned about this thing, it seems possible but it's still dangerous. Shit, I was there when one of the Ghoulies developed symptoms, he could have had a concussion or choked on his vomit. I don't have them in my heart and I believe her when she says they wanted to see harm done. ¨Damn, they already beat him up once....
-What? Exclaimed Betty, unwittingly drawing Sabrina and Kevin's attention.
-You didn't know... Toni realized. -Sorry, I didn't mean to... Hey, you two, it's a private conversation," she said.
-Sorry, but it's a little hard to ignore when space is so limited, and no one is discreet, Kevin replied.
- Not to mention the fact that most people have the decency to talk behind their backs when they are not in the room, says Sabrina with an icy voice.
-Oh, that's cute, you think I didn't want you to know," Toni mocked.
Betty wants to calm things down in between but also asks Sabrina and Jughead for explanations while we're at it. Because right now one part is shocked by her revelations but another part that she would like to silence herself thinks it's well done for the Ghoulies. But two things stop her; the first is something that only lasts for a moment and that she is the only one who has noticed.
She had felt ants crossing her and a sudden cold and noticed Sabrina's eyes: it seemed as if the pupils were dilating... No, not really, not really that they seemed to want to pass the iris without making it disappear by swallowing only the white, but the operation started without ending, the pupil returning to its normal size so quickly. A play of light, fatigue, who knows?
The other was the sound of the door opening to reveal Jughead carrying many of Pop.
-Hi, a little help would be nice.
Kevin and Toni hurry to help while the two blondes stay where they belong.
-Toni told you what? Asked Sabrina whispering.
-That you've been poisoning people. Do you confirm?
-Yes, but only in self-defense. I'm not stupid or cruel either, Betty.  I took something that's not fatal and with obvious symptoms, so they'd have to see a doctor. This way, he had less risk of complications if something went wrong. A silent aggressor is worse than a noisy one.
-It seems like you're talking about experience...says Betty was confused.
-I told you, my ancestors were pretty good at it and we kept their notes. We try to keep their knowledge alive and learn the tricks that can be used.
-That explains Toni's comment.
-You don't have to be afraid of me," Sabrina said in an almost begging tone.
Her sentence made Betty uncomfortable but not for the reason she thought she did. Sabrina seemed more frightened at the thought of being repelled than any consequence has its actions. She also had a darkness in her that terrorized her, something dark that if she pointed her dirty head at her, would drive away all those who had never had affection for her. Because Betty still wonders why Veronica was talking to her after what she did to Chuck, how Archie could say he wasn't good enough for her after knowing him all his life, why Jughead loved her and treated her as a fragile thing rather than some kind of monster escaping from the asylum. Was Sabrina just a rebellious child who became pariah like Polly or a good soul who had to learn never to let her guard down to survive like Kevin.
With hindsight, these next actions would seem very stupid, but too bad.
-I'm not afraid of you. For the moment, you haven't tried to hurt me or my loved ones, on the contrary, you wanted to protect us. So it's okay, but if you have other things you'd like to tell us that are important, it's better if you do it quickly. So that we can help you and avoid unpleasant surprises, but I would understand if you don't feel ready yet. It's just... I think it's a lot of trouble for Toni and...
-You too, Sabrina finished.
Not for the reasons you think, would have wanted to answer Betty. Because after this new information given by Toni, Sabrina could literally make the Ghoulies regurgitate their guts and bleed their eyes for what concerns her! And the one that realized horrifying her more than the idea that Sabrina was an expert in poison.
-I...
-Betty? Are you coming?
-Of course, Betty replied, giving her an emergency exit to allow Sabrina to leave the conversation.
Surprisingly, they had enough food for everyone and no one tried to tear someone else's face off. Sabrina's cat, Salem, had decided to make his presence known once the food was served, searching for it. He had managed to get some from his mistress, Betty and Kevin. As a reward, the young man even won that the animal settled on his lap by purring with satisfaction.  In fact, Betty realized that the group she and Jughead had assembled was actually quite effective: Toni had experience in the darker parts of the city had several ideas or the killer could have found an unregistered weapon in addition to his interest in criminology, Kevin also shares this passion in addition to having literally grown up among the criminal cases thanks to his father and Sabrina seemed to know more about the dark history of the region whether it was Riverdale, Greendale, Sunnydale or other city in the region without speaking that Toni had been right for this criminal mentality story.
-You can find a weapon anywhere, see it taken from no one where you are and delete the number is easy with the right contacts, says Toni.
- The guy probably also has security experience because he knows so much about surveillance and if he doesn't succeed in all these crimes, he didn't leave any clues.  It means that his first concern is his safety," Kevin continued.
-Speaking of which, am I the only one who thinks her motive is fake? False-Grundy of what you explained made sense in the sin department to be a pedophile but the other victims? Two teenagers taking drugs and perhaps having some adventurous caress?  A single man who had a short affair with a married woman for whom he may have had real rather than purely sexual feelings and who acts like a saint the rest of the time? added Sabrina. -A little weak as sinners, don't you think? And this even if he was only motivated by lust.
-The best thing would be to make a list of everything they have in common, Jughead cut out. -It can't hurt.
Betty felt her stomach twisting as she thought back to the serial killer's letters and saw Kevin's strong gaze. She would rather keep quiet, it could have been just a stupid joke after all....
-Easy! All from Nordside and privilege! Says Toni.
- Fake Grundy came from Greendale, Moose is the eldest of six children with parents composed of a soldier and a mother who has a home daycare not what I would call privileged, corrected her Kevin. -Moose has already said that if he can get into a good university it will only be because he is good at football and they will want more minorities.
-Fred Andrew is also not rolling in gold,gave up Jughead.
- Grundy still lived in Nordside, Toni continued. -And how is this guy a minority? She continued surprised.
- His mother is an Amerindian. But she was adopted so Moose just knows the name of her tribute, unfortunately. And before you ask, they never had any government money for it because his mother thinks it's horrible to just use it to make ends meet, Kevin concluded.
-Uktena? Sabrina asked.
-I think so, said Kevin.
-Impossible, said Toni. -I am one and I've never heard of him.
-That's normal, isn't it? They were almost all massacred, only children and a few naaldlooshiis survived. The first dispersed to the four winds and the second having found refuge in Greendale. Honestly, that's the way it is in every small town, if you go through people's genealogies, discover lots of weird links and cousins you didn't know you had.
Betty almost laughed as she remembered the whole drama with her family and the Blossoms. Oh my God, she didn't know how right she was.
-And I'm going to be honest like Moose, I wouldn't have known you were if you hadn't told me, Sabrina continued. By whom, by the way?
-My grandfather, Toni answered quickly.
-Oh, so you're a Native American quarter?
-Well, technically yes," said Toni suddenly uncomfortable.
-Technically? Insista Sabrina.
-He is my grandmother's husband but he is not the father of his children, but he adopts them and raises them! So that counts, right? She defended herself.
-It makes him a good man and definitely your grandfather! But as a very white girl, I'm not going to get into a discussion about whether you can say you're culturally Native American," says Sabrina laughing.
-Are you from your origins? Oh, don't worry, don't you have to talk about Mom and Dad, just say if you have something interesting in there? Asked Toni, frustrated at having been taken to class.
-My grandfather was an American, but he lived in England where he met my grandmother who was herself a mixed English and Australian. They got married, they have my three aunts before returning to the United States and having my father. The oldest of my aunts is staying there with her late husband.
-Did she marry young or does she just have a big difference with your father? Ask Jugh.
-Both. My father and cousin must be about ten years apart. Her husband was Afro-English and otherwise we also crossed the geneological tree we have German, Indian, French and Uktena
-What's is that word you use? Nanalooshi? Asked Kevin.
-An abomination/victim! Both girls said with a heart.
-Okay. Maybe…, Betty began.
-Hey, it's my culture! These people were criminals who deserved their fate! Says Toni.
-Need I remind you that being gay or having an abortion was once a crime? Most of his people were healers for not being able to heal someone or sick people rejected out of fear? Says Sabrina.
Jughead decided to intervene at that moment:
-Maybe get back to the main topic? I don't think we can solve this issue tonight, but maybe the Black Hood issue.
The two girls stared at each other but obeyed each other. Jughead continued:
-I admit that even if there is still the possibility that only attacks people he can reach and leaves out targets like Hiram Lodge, it doesn't go with his provocative attitude.
-Overcompensation? ask Kevin.
Jughead shook her unconvinced head before turning to Sabrina.
-Sabrina, can I ask you something else with this investigation and was hoping for an honest answer?
-Wow, almost no pressure! Says Sabrina uncomfortable. -You can always try. I wouldn't lie, but I keep the privilege of pleading the fifth.
The cat suddenly stopped purring on Kevin's lap and he felt it tender. Did the animal feel the stress of its owner?
-I suspect that Greendale is not a village, but have you known anyone with a connection to the real Miss Grundy or the fake one? Her real name was Jennifer Gibson, known as Jughead.
Sabrina seemed to reassure immediately, and the cat became soft again on Kevin's lap.
-Oh, just that. I don't know Jennifer or any Gibson. I know a little bit of some of the Grundy family, but it's just that we went to the same church. I can try to answer as best I can about them if you want but I don't see anything very useful in it.
-Do you think the killer could have come from there? Suddenly ask Kevin.
-What makes you think that? Asked Betty surprise.
-He was very comfortable with this attack: he succeeded in his murder and was much more violent with it. It was a crime of passion! If the killer hadn't sent personal belongings from the other victims, I would have said it was someone who wanted revenge on her and made it look like the work of the Blackhood," Kevin explained.
-Aren't you saying this whole thing would be a plot to get rid of fake Grundy? Toni asked.
-It does seem a little big to me, says Betty.
-There may be another explanation... Sabrina whispered.
This time, the cat jumps from Kevin's knees to Sabrina's knees, who mechanically started stroking him.
-It's a little silly, but maybe the reason he took his time was because he knew no one would bother him.
-Because he attacked her at home? Asked Betty.
-Among other things. But also... It's really stupid but... It's Greendale. Let us say that the population has certain habits. Like not leaving the house after dark. Especially if you hear screams.
Toni laughs before answering:
-It's Greendale, not Los Angeles! What the hell are you gonna do if I drag you into my corner!
Sabrina looked at Toni with deep boredom and replied:
-I never said I was part of a superstitious population, on the contrary I loved walking at night! But I can tell you that I am a minority and even outside there are people who will hesitate. The city has traumas that night brings back.
-What kind of trauma?" Betty asked.
-Want to hear stories of heroes and monsters? This is far from our study topic....
-Oh no! No! I want to hear this story! Exclaimed Kevin with stars in his eyes. It's even better when it's based on real-life experience.
Kevin had always been fascinated by horror and gore, never missing an opportunity to expand his repertoire of history by the fire.
-I guess a break can't hurt, Betty yielded.
The cat jumped from Sabrina's knees to take refuge in the room, Sabrina looked at him worried but quickly recovered.
Sabrina smiled and began her story:
-The settlers would arrive in America...
-Seriously, how far do you have to start? Toni asked.
-It's just a summary to get you in the mood! So all his settlers are there to escape persecution and build a free and accepting land...It really took a hypocritical level of hypocrisy crazy enough to believe such shit. The local population is mistreated like women, pocs, other religions and everything else that comes out of their morals stuck puritanically to the impossible criteria. In this wonderful hell on earth that the trials of heretics begin, it seems, very ironic when you consider that most people have fled from these persecutions in Europe. The most famous of his trials is of course Salem and this despite who is not the most murderous, in fact he shines by his mediocrity! His popularity is probably related to his industry from the beginning turning murder, torture, rape and treason into entertainment for the whole family, go figure! Sabrina continued.
-Well, Confederate soldiers have statues, don't they? Not to mention dumb people like Christophe Colom, says Toni coldly.
-True, Toni, that's right. But good for us the rest of the story is more joyful: Greendale is not spared by this madness, the vast majority of non-Puritanical settlers had even been driven from the lands they had or they had settled by the most extremist leaving them without homes or resources and some poor souls are offered in sacrifice to their larvae addictive to the suffering of others. Hanging slowly, fighting to keep the air from their lungs, losing control of functions in front of their beaten child in front of their execution zones with religious leaders telling them to bow their heads and let the scapegoats be sacrificed for the good of others, Sabrina continued, filled with cold anger.
-Sabrina, don't bother to be so precise we just ate," moans Betty.
-Betty, you've been through worse, make fun of Kevin nicely.
Jughead attracts his girlfriend against him and Sabrina takes over:
-So many decided that they were because it was all women who were tired of shaving walls and just watched them suffer! They had to expect it badly and no consequence could be worse than what they were going through, to act. They will not flee, they will not hide and more importantly, they will no longer let people get hurt with impunity....
-One of your ancestors among them, Sabrina? Jughead asked curiously.
-Not impossible, Sabrina said with a little smile. So they broke into his so-called hunters, judges and other criminals who hide under titles. They would find them and their families: they would slit their throats, skin them alive and tear their hearts still beating from their chests! And to make the message clear, they will throw their carcasses to the same trees where their victims were murdered!
Betty looked at the storyteller in shock, so the way Sabrina told her story was disturbing. You could feel a kind of pride and respect in his words. And his expression! Betty thought she would rather have seen a psychotic smile than that kid's expression of a joke, laughing eyes and a candid smile!
-And with the bodies a note sticking on one of the bodies warning that it was not revenge, only a warning. If such horror were to happen again in Greendale or even in a nearby town or village, they would be happy to show that they had not yet seen anything! And it worked, the inhabitants of Greendale learned how to love and respect its slightly different inhabitants. Night and the forest have remained their domain and even nowadays, one can laugh at his stories, at night when the moon shines and one wonder if one waits for a cry in the distance, that sometimes perhaps just maybe, there is still one of his women who watches over the grain. And fine! Sabrina said, clapping her hands.
-Great story! I wish Riverdale had had something like that! Says Kevin with a big smile.
-Not bad, I admit that it's nice that oppressing them wins and not because of the power of love or some shit like that," Toni said.
-Not sure that people will build a museum to attract tourists with this history... Seeing children, violence is sometimes the solution, says Jughead more troubled.
-Are you saying they killed their families too? Asked Betty to horrify.
-Yes, Sabrina said as she realized the implications. -But they had done the same thing... and if it makes you feel better, as much they had peace after that, as much the women or at least the woman who organized everything had to pay for it to the leaders of her community more for overriding their permission than because they had problems with her methods. No problem has taken advantage of the benefits anyway I don't think anyone is learning anything new.
-Indeed, and it continues to this day! The minorities pay, suffer and fight while the rest benefit from advancing by posing as moral guardians," says Toni gloomily.
Jughead clumsily tapped Toni's shoulder but she seemed to appreciate the attention.
-So, your theory is that people if they heard something, they didn't do anything because of these stories? Says Betty, still trying to silence her illogical feelings by focusing on something else.
-I know it sounds stupid, but superstition is stupid by definition! Easy to say that it's bullshit in broad daylight with friends, it's a whole different story at night, alone when every shadow looks like a ghost. You don't care about people who believe in Bloody Mary but not enough to try the ritual just to prove to them that it's bullshit. My point is that maybe this guy was lucky or maybe he knew they had old monsters to use as a screen but in the end, he could kill her.
-So, we eliminate the theory that false Grundy was his only intended victim, but we add that he can come from Greendale or at least be familiar with the city? Asked Kevin.
Everyone nodded, and Kevin wrote their last notes.
-What's the result? Asked Jughead.
-Uh... male, white, in his forties, with a high probability of having green eyes, height and average weight according to the information we have, in good physical condition, knows how to shoot, knows the city of Riverdale and Grendales well, has access to private information, seems obsessed with the sins of the city which may indicate that he is religious in a way, concludes Kevin by always having a supportive eye towards Betty. -In other words, we don't have much.
-Bright green eyes are the rarest natural color in humans, only 2% of the population has eyes of this color, says Jughead.
-Ironic as a remark in a room with 3 people with green eyes, Kevin remarked, referring to himself, Betty and Sabrina, all of whom have eyes of this color. He could even have included Jughead so the look oscillating between green and blue.
Everyone stared at him for a moment Kevin who caught up:
-Hey, I'm not accusing anyone, it was just a remark that includes me too! You don't have to get paranoid.
-Yes, in addition, limiting oneself to only people with green eyes would be counterproductive. Archie was in shock, the Blackhood's eyes could be hazelnut or blue but seemed green because of the lighting, Jughead recalled.
-We should still prioritize them without kidnapping suspects because they have a different color," says Betty.
-Good idea," Jughead approved.
-Speaking of Archie, can either of you explain how the fact that his father got shot gives him the right to leave a neo-Nazi group? Said frustrated Toni.
The other four turned to Toni, shocked by his accusations.
-Toni, what are you talking about the red circle? Asked troubled Betty.
-Yes, I'm talking about these morons! Ready to attack the southside in the first movement! Toni continued.
-I didn't know that the neo-Nazis had become multicultural," says Sabrina coldly.
-Sorry? Toni asked.
-Apology accepter, Sabrina quickly said, taking advantage of Toni's poor choice of words. -But my point is that I don't understand why you call a multi-ethnic group without any iconography related to fascism or Nazism, Sabrina continued.
-And Archie is Jewish by his mother, feels obliged to specify Betty to defend Archie. Information that was greeted by a frustrated look from Tony and a satisfied look from Sabrina.
-They had hoods... Toni began.
And they were bare-chested, usually except for a bad case of Vertigo, people have the same color face and torso, the Sabrina cut.
-I was going to say that the KKK wears hoods too! Toni defended himself.
-Like many Islamic extremist groups or pussyriots, I don't see you accusing them of being one or the other, Sabrina continued.
-As soon as we could all agree that it looked like bad porn at first? Tempted awkwardly Kevin only reaping the fiery gaze of the two girls.  Betty also tried to calm the situation down:
-This is the third time we've changed the subject, I think it's a sign that everyone is getting tired. We've made good progress, so why are we getting
-Sorry, but if it's to make the Southside serve as a scapegoat, then it'll be without me, Toni shouted before leaving the caravan.
-Toni, wait! Says Jughead as he goes to his suite leaving the other three alone.
Betty sighed with her head between her hands.
-Sorry," said Sabrina. -I shouldn't have corrected it.
-You didn't do anything wrong," Betty said flatly. -She needed to vent her anger one way or another, my sister is the same.
- Do you have a sister?
-Yes, Polly.
(And a brother somewhere she thought silently).
-Is it just Polly, Pollyanna or Appoly? Sabrina asked.
-Uh... Pollyanna, says Betty surprised by the question. -My mother likes the classics, Pollyanna after the novel of the same name and I am Elizabeth after Pride and Prejudice.
Kevin had a little laugh, from what he knew about Betty's mother, a novel about an indescribable optimist and another about the danger of preconceived ideas and misplaced pride seemed quite funny from Alice Cooper. Betty seemed to think the same thing because her expression seemed closer to a I know what you think than a hurt expression.
- Not everyone can have a name with a cool meaning, others like your servant are named after the top 10 popular names of 2003, complains Kevin. - What about you? Was he a fan of the movie with Audrey Hepburn? Asked Kevin.
-Maybe. But I think the important part was the A at the end," says Sabrina.
-The A? continued Kevin that Betty could see mentally taking notes.
-All the girls in my family for more than 400 years have a name that ends in A even if it means changing the spelling: Sabrina, Zelda, Hilda, Vesta, Esmeralda, Lydia, Priscilla, Evanora, Locasta Kezia, Sara and many more!
-I hope there are still some good ones left among them, Kevin continued.
-We'll see, you already must have a daughter on the way to do that! Retorqued Sabrina.
-I hope it's not too bad with Toni," says Betty as she leaves with Kevin.
-Yes, especially since Sabrina should have apologized to me. I had planned to make connections with her, replied this one.
-Did you want to hear from Joaquin? Asked Betty.
-I just wanted to know if he was okay," Kevin said hastily. -His life was not exactly easy and no matter what happened between us, I don't wish him any misfortune.
-I don't judge, on the contrary if you came back together, we could have double dates with our snake buddies, Betty tried.
-Yes, and we can visit them together in prison," says Kevin sarcastically. -Why don't you ask the question that burns your tongue?
-On Sabrina?
-On Luna Lovegood herself.
-So?
She's self-monitoring, I can confirm that, but she talks as much as I do and if she tries to be careful, she lets things slip. She comes from Greendale with her family who has been there for a long time, among the names of women she named some are obscure enough that if Spellman is her real name can find them. Plus, she was talking about doing a congregation and seems to have had a good education so probably was at school at one time or another. Hopefully, someone saw something.
-Won't it be too hard to get? Betty continued.
-My father is already contacting the Greendale police because of the black hood and I just need to ask the archives manager to send us information pretending it's for my father. Madge trusts me, I'm the gay son she never had," Kevin proudly said.
-Oh, my God, Kevin, you're awesome!
-I know but I can't promise you a result; too precise would risk attracting attention and it may be that it is really nothing. For all we know, she could be a bored mythomaniac or a kid who lives without contact with civilization because her parents are in a cult or something, Kevin reminded her. -And you will have to deal with his reaction and or the problems that will follow, Kevin reminded him.
-I will take responsibility for my actions, Betty promised.
-Toni, wait! Jughead shouted.
-What? Asked Toni frustrated but stopped anyway.
-I'm sorry about what just happened, but no one is our enemy!
-Our enemy? Asked intrigues Toni.
-I'm going to become a Southside Serpent, aren't I? And Betty defended the snakes and my father in the newspaper even though it made her threaten, Kevin made....
-Allows Joaquin to flee the city, Toni added.
-Do you know each other? Asked Jughead.
-There are exactly 3 LGBT Serpent of our age in and for all, we stick together.
-Joaquin, you...including Jughead
-I like guys but I like girls even more," smiles Toni. -And Fang is like me, but it stays between us.
-I promise! And for Archie....
-He is an idiot, and someone will end up hurting: turn into a martyr if it is someone from the north and if it is someone from the south, he will probably have run after it, concluded Toni.
-Yes, unfortunately. I intend to fix this. It's horrible what's his father’s but drowning a bunch of idiots in their own testosterone isn't going to help the situation. Neither is Sweet peas' plan.
-He is not the only one to have this point seen," said Toni gloomily. -But you can't do anything until you're an official member. I'll also have to talk to your roommate.
-Why?
Toni had a little amused smile
 When they returned, they found Sabrina alone cleaning up. The cat eats with enthusiasm the little bit of staying behind.
-They left but Betty said you could do the text her, Sabrina quickly answered.
-I'll do it right away," replied Jughead, taking his phone and settling down on the sofa.
-It's all right Toni? continued Sabrina
-Not bad, don't even think of taking advantage of a moment of weakness for your cat to eat me," replied this one. -Besides, you and I must have a chat," she continued, taking Sabrina's wrist and dragging her into the room.
Sabrina stiffened under her fingers but did not try to resist, following her. Toni saw the cat watching her following her with her eyes...Stupid animal!
Toni closed the door and turned to Sabrina who had sat on the bed.
-Why this sudden desire for privacy, Antoinette? Asked the other coldly.
-Don't flatter yourself, Sabrinette," said Toni before taking a deep breath and choosing her words carefully:
-I need you to listen to me: Jughead is going to have to have an initiation to be a gang member. One of the challenges for this involves getting into his home. We won't touch you and nothing serious will happen, okay?
-For this one, said with a kind of amusing dry Sabrina. No problem! - No problem! Just let me know when I should take out my first aid kit.
- I never talked about that! Said Toni forcefully.
-So, none of the events can hurt Jughead? Sabrina asked with a big smile.
-Well... Toni began.
-That's what I thought," said Sabrina clinically. -Don't worry, I'm not judging and it's none of my business.
Toni should be happy to hear him say that, shouldn't she? Or maybe he replies that it is none of his business. But she can't do it. There was something wrong with this girl; something missing or at least had been damaged, leaving that feeling of cold and death that comes out of her. Sabrina's gaze passes over Toni in such a clinical way that she feels naked: an animal judging its prey before speaking:
-I like Jughead, he's a good person. I won't let anything happen to her, I promise, conclude this one with a smile. Then she reattached in force:
-Same, worse or better than for you?
-What?
-Your initiation? Is Jughead going to get the same one as you or is it going to be different? Sabrina continued.
Images of the snake dance reappeared in Toni's head with feelings of anger, shame and disgust. Dancing at the age of 14 in front of adult men, some of whom she considers to be family and others who had looked like a piece of meat, still haunting her today. So far from the stories of pure warriors of his grandfather protecting theirs. Again, one of the elders had told him what it was like before FP took the lead of the Serpent...
-I see...said Sabrina looking sade to the surprise Toni.
-What do you see? Toni asked dryly.
She looked embarrassed before she answered:
-Your expression... I’m sorry. It's not a good memory...
- Like when you come from? Because I don't know if you ran away from home because you wanted to live the life of a young adult novel character or if you're as fucked up as you say you are going to have to give something other than your word. Because believe me, I know what it's like to have no one and not be able to go to the cops...
Sabrina stiffened up but replied with a smile closer to the grimace:
- I gave you my hometown, didn't I? Doesn't that give me points for good conduct?  And you want to take me out with the not so different after involving that I hide by boredom? Oh Antoinette, you know nothing about my situation and if you were me, you'd wish you were dead! So, you take care of Jughead and I'll be there if you ever need help to put the pieces back together again because if it were really safe, I wouldn't have the face of someone who would take him to the slaughterhouse, Sabrina continued, spitting out his venom.
-You crazy bit...started Tony who wasn't as to why she hadn't hit him yet.
(Because it would mean touching her) and Tony's gut told her that something horrible would happen if she did. The poisoning episode was probably not the worst.
 -Not a you are wrong or it a lie? If you switched to insults, it's because I had a good argument.
Then seeming to find a semblance of calm:
-Everyone survives as best they can, I don't judge, I don't think I even have the right to judge others' choices anymore. I'm just asking you the same thing, okay? I want help to thank you for your help and I will leave at the slightest sign of disturbance on your part," she said, realizing that the violence of her reaction and extending her hand apologizes.
-Swear on what little I have left, Antoinette.
Toni, gave him a cold look and before saying:
-Don't you dare go out the room when we get back tomorrow, before turning his back on her and leaving the room.

Romeo and Juliet with grunge ~ Part 1
This is the first thing I have written on here and I do plan on uploading more chapters. If I do write any more for this I will be leaning more into the fluffy dark comedy(?) genre so any feedback is appreciated.
~~~
Part 1
Betty breathed in as she stepped outside for the first time that morning. The air was unusually warm for November, however an icy chill struck her as a gust of wind swept through the trees. She headed back inside to get her coat, finding her mother and father talking in hushed tones by the stair. They sprung apart as soon as they saw betty observing them.
“Everything ok honey?” Alice asked, her Stepford smile faltering slightly under Betty’s icy stare.
“Just came to get my coat” she brushed off her mother’s attempts to help her and ruched out of the door and onto the familiar road to Riverdale High.
Everything had changed in the Cooper household when Betty’s sister Polly had gotten pregnant and fled the small town of Riverdale to raise her baby with her boyfriend Jason. Betty hadn’t been aware anything was wrong until she came home from vixen practise 6 months ago to find her mother and father sat round the kitchen counter. They explained Polly’s ‘less than ideal’ situation. The shame of a baby born to unwed parents was too much for them. They had given Polly ultimatum, either she gave the baby up for adoption, or leave town.
Betty had cried more than she thought she ever could that night, the tears just wouldn’t stop. She had always admired Jason and Polly’s relationship. Polly had had a crush on Jason for years, but she knew being with him could only be a pipe dream. However, when Jason had asked her on a date to pops a year ago, she was ecstatic. Hal and Alice, although, did not approve. They forbade her to go anywhere near him or that family, but Polly didn’t care.
She’d spent hours getting ready, convinced this was the night she and Jason would confess their love for each other. She had snuck out of her window and returned in the early hours of the morning and snuck into Bettys room to tell her about the dreamy boy who had confessed his love to her that night. They had spent all that night chatting and planning for the future, a future neither realised would be coming true for Polly, sooner rather than later.
She hadn’t spoken to Polly in a while, their only means of communication were email drafts in a shared account Polly had set up so they could still talk, against their mothers misguided wishes. It was revealed a few months back that she was having twins, this and their impeding due date meant the young couple were rushed off her feet trying to get everything in order with the money Jason had saved before the Blossoms cut him off. The last message she had received Polly had invited her to come up to Ohio and stay with them. Away from “the evil clutches of Alice Cooper” was how she had phrased it. Home may be hell but there were other factors to consider. She was a senior with a 4.0 GPA to maintain, as well as her amazing friendships, old and some new. She couldn’t leave them all behind, so she had politely declined. It had ruffled Polly’s feathers a bit, something Betty chalked up to hormones, hence her lack of reply but betty knew she’d get over it soon enough.
Betty rounded a corner just as she heard somebody shout her name. She whipped her head around to see Archie Andrews waving at her from a few feet away. She smiled, only slightly forced as he approached. Archie had been her next-door neighbour since before she could remember, they had grown up together with Kevin Keller, the sheriff’s son, as the three musketeers.  They had been inseparable as kids, something Archie still hung on to, much to Betty and Kevin’s dismay. While they loved their friend, he could be a bit clingy and was yet to grow out of his childhood crush on Betty. Something he wasn’t the subtlest about. Betty always laughed off his advances, and when she did he would move onto the next girl falling over themselves at his muscles, but he could never seem to shake those feelings he’s held onto for so long.
“What’s up Coop” he said, swinging his arm over Bettys shoulders “I didn’t see you this weekend”
She chuckled and carefully removed his arm “Hey Arch, sorry I was busy”
“You’re always busy nowadays. We hardly see you anymore”
“I’m meeting you guys at Pop’s tonight, you’re coming right” she said as they walked through the gates
“Of course, it wouldn’t be right if I wasn’t there” Archie laughed as they walked through the lot. His eyes drifting to a group over by the motorcycle bay. “That Southsider’s looking at you again Betts”
Bettys eyes drifted to where Archie was staring down a dark, brooding looking boy. A cigarette dangled from his lips as he retrieved a lighter from the leather jacket that hung across his shoulders, boasting the infamous South Side Serpents logo.  She locked eyes with him and he smiled at her. She stifled a blush and looked back towards the doors. “pay him no mind Arch. Come on I need to speak to Veronica about practice tonight.”
Archie reluctantly tore his eyes away from the boy after giving him a disgusted look and followed Betty inside.
***
“What you staring at Jones” Sweet pea smirked, glancing at Jughead, “In another stare down with that Northside jock I see.
“He’s a clueless dickhead, not unlike most of the jocks here” Toni pipes up from his shoulder “He’s lost so many brain cells he doesn’t even see that that chick he’s always with isn’t interested. Just stares at her with puppy dog eyes, it’s quite depressing actually”
“Well, I feel bad for her. Putting up with men is hard work” Sweet pea interjects
“I wonder if she’ll give me a go” Toni says, “If there wasn’t that stupid rule I might actually go there”
“Rules be rules Toni” Jughead took a puff from his smoke before continuing “we all agreed before we came to this school we weren’t going to touch the Northsider’s. We want no strings attached for when we have to go back to Southside High. It’s not like a Serpents true love would be a Northsider anyway”
Sweet pea saluted him as Toni huffed “Too good to be true anyway, but you’ve got to kiss a few princesses before you find your true love. My luck I’ll end up with a frog”
“Yes, you have to kiss a few but you don’t have to bang them as well Toni” Jughead laughed at Sweet peas remark as Toni smirked.
“Personal preference. I like to make sure they’re not the one before I let them go”
Yeah, yeah” Jughead laughed as he stubbed out his cigarette and stood up “See you guys at the Wyrm tonight”
“Sure thing” Sweet pea said as Jughead skulked off towards Riverdale highs doors
***
“I’m sorry Kev, but no” Betty said as they walked out of English towards the cafeteria.
“Please please pleaseeee Betts. It’s my fault we broke up this time so it’s my responsibility to fix it! I need your help”
Betty rolled her eyes. She had just been informed of her best friends frankly insane idea to get his on again off again boyfriend, Moose, back after their breakup this weekend.
“Has it occurred to you Kev that you and Moose may not be that healthy as a couple. I mean this is at least breakup number 8 and that’s only the ones I hear about. I don’t like you getting hurt again and again”
“I hear your concern and believe me I understand but it was all my fault this time!” He took a deep breath and looked at the floor “Joaquin was back in town for a few days visiting him Grandmother and like the stupid romantic I am I kissed him at the game after party at the Whyte Wyrm. Of course, Moose saw, and I have been working my but off to make it up to him, but nothing works.” He collapsed onto a chair at their usual table, head in his hands.
“Is he still trying to rope you into his stupid plan to get moose back” Veronica asked as she sat gracefully next to Kevin. “Come on Hun, its time to move on and try someone new”
“Coming from veronica lodge who had been in love with a certain ginger since she came here and won’t act on her feeling cause she’s too afraid” Kevin taunted, sitting up to face the fuming raven haired goddess.
“You know full well why I can’t do that, if you liked them you would be scared too!” she whisper shouted “and… oh shit, they’re coming this way”
Their table of 3 turned around to see Cheryl Blossom strutting towards them. Her usual red lipstick was replaced by a dark plum as she seated herself opposite Veronica
“Afternoon, outcasts.” She sounded monotone as she leant forward and stole a grape from veronicas plate “How are we all doing this fine winters day”
“I was fine Cherry, until Satan in Louboutin’s stole my food that is.” Veronica fired back, looking pleased with herself.
“Enough pleasantries, I like to limit my time at this table to 2 minutes, should it affect my reputation. So, I’ll get straight to the point. Vixens practice will run late today so better inform that criminal daddy of yours and tell him not to send the limo till 7” she stood up and brushed off her skirt “That’s all”
“Always a pleasure, Cheryl” Kevin said as she walked away. “I swear that girl has an ego bigger than Reggie’s, I don’t know what you see in her V”
“Oh, bad girls are the best kind of girl, a lot more intriguing to unravel” Veronica winked at Kevin ad the turned to Betty “No offence B, I’m sure some guys love a good girl too”
“How do you know I’m not a bad girl.” Betty said, looking down at her salad “I could be naughty, a risk taker”
Veronica and Kevin looked at each other then back to Betty as Archie sat down “It will be a cold day in hell when betty cooper does something daring” he said, “No offence Betts but you don’t submit a paper until you’ve done at least 3 drafts, it’s part of your endearment”
Betty stood up and grabbed her bag “On that supportive note, I have an article to finish. I’ll see you all at Pop’s later”
Betty walked purposefully away as Archie watched, looking confused “Was it something I said?”
“Oh Archiekins, how anyone finds you charming is beyond me” Veronica said packing up her lunch and beginning to follow far behind betty “I wish your next hook up good luck!”
Archie looked towards Kevin, disgruntled “Just the lads today then Kev”
“Just the way I like it” Kevin said, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Jughead walked through the unfamiliar halls of Riverdale High. It had been just over two weeks since Southside high was victim of an arson attack, culprit not caught yet. They had been moved to Riverdale high affective immediately and after a few first week jitters (such as fights between jocks and serpents) they were all settled in. Jughead was only certain of the location of one room, the ‘Blue and Gold’. He had been taken on as a writer as soon as his English teacher realised his talent that had gone unrecognised at Southside high.
He found the door unlocked and sat in his usual corner, laptop open on his lap as he tried to finish an article on how the Southsider’s had been settling in in this unfamiliar environment when the door opened.
***
Betty stood in the doorway of the blue and gold office to find the only other member huddled in the corner. She nodded at Jughead before closing the door, sitting at her desk and taking out her laptop to finish some work on her latest article.
A few minutes passed in relative silence before Jughead looked up from his laptop and said “Look this is ridiculous. It’s been a while, I’m pretty sure none of you friends are about to burst in and- “
Before he could finish, he was cut off by Bettys lips on his in a passionate kiss. He stands up to meet her, pressing his body against her and he can instantly feel all the tension in his and hers bodies melt away. His hand slides under her pastel sweater, his hand wrapping around her back as he brought her as close as he could, breathing her in.
One year ago, if somebody told him he would have found the love of his life, a Northside princess, and that he would be here with her right now, the happiest he’s ever been, he would have thought you were insane. But here he was. They had met 11 months ago when his sister, Jellybean’s, teacher had said she was falling behind on her English Lit and if the 14-year-old didn’t pick up her grades her GPA would begin to fall. When he enlisted the help of a tutor from the Northside he didn’t expect somebody as seemingly perfect as betty cooper to turn up on his doorstep, and, truth be told, he despised her at first. She was too perfect, too pure, too everything he wasn’t, and it pissed him off. He told her as much for at her first month, them both falling into a mutual hatred. That was until the day she turned up at the trailer, late, eyes blotchy from crying and hand dripping blood. He sent Jelly off to give Hot Dog a walk while he comforted her. She told him about her overbearing, abusive mother, her weak father who never stood up for her and her party girl sister who was never there to defend her. At that time, she had just been shouted out of the house by Alice Cooper for refusing to take her unnecessary ADHD medication. For the first time, he looked at her. Really looked at her, and suddenly he realised. She wasn’t the perfect Northside princess he thought she was. She was a brave fighter, battling daily in her own home. Trying not to drown under expectation but this very moment she had finally been broken. He then realised, they were the same. He told her of his past. How his mother left him when he was 7 and Jelly was 4. How their father turned to gangs and alcohol to drown out the pain. How he was living in the flat above the Whyte Wyrm till he was sober enough to take care of his two kids who now lived alone at the old trailer, practically orphans. She clutched his hands when he had finished telling her, tears in her eyes, telling him it would all work out I the end. That was when he broke down in her arms as she whispered sweet nothings in his ear until he was fit enough to tend to her injuries.
She apologised repeatedly for going to him and not her friends as he cleaned her palms and bandaged them up in the old bathroom in his trailer. But he was glad she did and told her so. He had invited her to stay there for the night on the couch, an offer she agreed to almost immediately, making him chuckle. All these memories were rather hazy, but it’s what happened that night, after Jellybean had gone to bed, that he would never forget.
***
They both sat on the old beaten up couch. It had been a fun night after Jellybean had come home from the walk. They had raided the cupboards and found assorted snacks to tide them over while Jughead ordered a pizza. The girls talked all things engine (most of the jargon going right over Jughead’s head) they played poker with assorted chocolates which jellybean worryingly won. It was now around 10pm and Jughead and Betty were currently setting up a movie on his laptop.
“Ok, we’ve got Rear view window or Rebel without a cause. Take your pick and be warned I will judge you very harshly.”
“They are both cinematic masterpieces, but I have to say I’m a sucker for James dean.” Betty smirked as Jughead nodded in agreement.
“Rebel without a cause it is then”
As the title screen began to play, Betty shuffled from her position at the end of the couch, closer to the screen on Jughead’s lap.
“You can come closer Bets. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t bite” Jughead smirked as Betty rolled her eyes and pressed her body up against his side, his arm moving around her shoulders. He gulped at her proximity, he could feel her breathing under him and it gave him a weird feeling in his stomach, “Better?” He asked
She nodded, looking up at him, their faces inches apart. “Thank you Jughead, nobody’s ever done so much for me without an ulterior motive before, it’s a welcome change”
He was upset shed been treated so badly, she was so kind and gentle “You deserve the world Betty, even if other don’t see it, I do now. I’m sorry I was a douchebag before, can you find it in that full heart of yours to forgive me?” he pleaded
She looked at his eyes then her gaze flicked down to his lips, he felt this otherworldly force pulling them together as she moved in and kissed him. Lips on lips. It was slow and steady and unsure but also magical. He felt fireworks and when she pulled away, he leaned in for more and she accepted it gratefully. He abandoned the laptop, still playing, on the coffee table as she pushed him down on the sofa and kissed him, both wanting more, feelings of want they had disguised as hate over the past month all came to a head as she went to pull her shirt over her head.
He stopped her, placing his hands over hers “Not tonight, there will be plenty of time for that another time, that’s if you’ll have me?”
She giggles and nods as they both just stare into each other’s eyes, seeing the other so clearly for the first time.
“We forgot about the film” She whispered against his lips a few minutes later
“You know what? Fuck the film” He said, sitting up and closing the lid to the laptop. Betty was still straddling is lap so he picked her up and began walking with her in the direction of his room as she squealed.
“Oh god, he was going to fall hard for this girl” was the only thought in his mind at that moment. He wasn’t wrong either.
***
She pulled away for air after a few minutes and looked up into his deep blue eyes.
“I missed you Juggie” She whispered, hands playing with his hair, his beanie having fallen off earlier.
“We spent the whole weekend together Bets, don’t you remember. I’d be happy to remind you if you don’t…” He ran his hand back down from its place on her lower back and moved it to pinch her waist. She giggled at the action but pushed him away.
“There’s nothing I’d like more Jug, but I have vixen practice and if we don’t want Ronnie storming in here in 20 minutes and blowing the cover we’ve done so well to maintain, I suggest we leave it there Romeo” she blew him a kiss as she packed up her bag and walked up to the door “I love you Jug”
“I love you too Bets, so fucking much” He walked up to her and kissed her cheek. “Have a good practise, I’ll see you tonight”
With that he winked, and she left, keeping a straight face in case anybody took notice of her unusually good mood. No one had so far. They had been dating for 10 months and nobody had suspected a thing. Covert make out sessions under the bleachers and in the blue and gold were daily. They also spent at least 3 nights together every week. Either he snuck through her window or, when her parents were out visiting Polly (a weekly occurrence), she would sleep at the trailer. As great as it all was, mornings at the trailer were the best. J.B was the only person who knew about their relationship, so they were able to lay on the PDA, much to her teenage disgust. They’d lay around watching movies, eating whatever betty made that morning and they were always in a great mood thanks to last nights ‘activities’. She loved her life with Jughead, she still had the stuff at home and the mounting pressure at school wasn’t helping, but when she felt her lowest, he would always pick her back up.
But she was tired. Not just tired, exhausted with keeping it all a secret. She needed to let the world know she was in love. But now, they weren’t allowed to be together. It was Jughead’s estranged dad who enforced the rule as leader that no serpent was to get involved with a Northsider when the schools merged. It was a smart move, however very unhelpful to her. She and Jughead had already been involved, months and months of being emotionally and intimately involved. They were in love, and she was sick of hiding it like a dirty little secret. It was time to tell someone.
Riverdale, “Chapter Sixteen: The Watcher in the Woods”
question from the recap: When is/was Jughead’s first day at SHS? in the finale Jughead trotted over to Southside out of pique & gloom, on his own accord, and wasn’t officially enrolled yet, because he is that dramatic
Kevin, cruising the woods for gays, runs towards the sound of gunshots, because he is one of the too-many-angels President Bartlet is talking about in “20 Hours in America”
Midge is still alive, because of her haircut
I need to educate myself as to what “palomitas” means (popcorn OR a bird?), but Hiram calls Hermione corazón, which is sweet
or is it Hiram
Veronica says “inner circle only,” but as Kevin demonstrated at Jughead’s party, that means LITERALLY ANYONE YOU WANT
you know I forgot Reggie was football captain!!! hahahahaha you know it!!!!
Moose is still alive!!!!! God I’m really bad at this!!!!!
the polls are closed: Reggie’s mouth is the greatest Riverdale mouth
he’s also wearing a tight-skin skin-tight muscle shirt or compression shirt or whatever it was that Steve Rogers wore running around the Mall except with no sleeves to show off his rack
“He, like, shielded her with his body.”
practice is cancelled, for emotional reasons
“I was just night-jogging. You know, as one does.”
Betty and Veronica are squeezed into each other’s laps on that tiny loveseat, because they just like to keep each other warm
Jughead does not love baby showers, birthday parties, town jubilees, Seth Rogen movies, or “gross reality dating shows”
Veronica has a very interesting plum lip stain thing going on
the interior of the student lounge and the hallway outside seem to be lit from the sun shining down on a cathedral
Jughead...just...went to Riverdale High in the morning to chill out with his friends before he went to Southside...you sentimental fool...
I have developed a Pavlovian response to the twinkly Bughead-kissing soundtrack cue (crushing whatever I’m holding), which is what Cole Sprouse wants
Kevin is going out for wrestling like he said he wanted to at the construction site! live your dreams, Kev!
it took A MOMENT to register that Cheryl Blossom was walking steadily behind them, out of focus, like the monster in It Follows
Kevin is desperate for love “post-Joaquin,” where he won’t be honeytrapped again, but takes what he can get in the form of Jughead’s “wolves” in Fox Forest
Kevin has a teensy photo in his locker of himself and Betty hugging
Cheryl’s sheaths: Cheryl’s postmodern black-scarlet blazer is something to consider
Archie’s “You saved her life, bro” is 100% sincere, because this is one of those Awesome Archie Episodes
Reggie is eating Moose’s obligatory hospital pudding
there’s a handmade get-well card on Moose’s nightstand consisting of a drawing of a moose with a hand-traced pair of antlers, like how kindergarteners make Thanksgiving turkey crafts
Midge brought a stuffed moose for him!
“He was like Michael Meyers. He had the devil’s eyes.” Midge, have you met Jughead?
ADORABLY, Moose’s heart monitor becomes SHS’s security sensor beeping
Sexy, aesthetic Southside: Toni Topaz 1) finally says “Forsythe Pendleton Jones the Third,” so do a shot, 2) takes a picture of Jughead to be performative, because she is an artist, and 3) is wearing a plaid crop top
Jughead is immeasurably pleased his peer mentor makes a sort of Disney World-via-Jurassic Park-via-Westworld joke right out of the gate and probably that she has such great hair
Southside High’s paper was called the Red & Black, because it was my Goth Hello Kitty messenger back I got for $10 at Hot Topic in 2005
God bless Moose jingle-jangle: sorry but I thought Moose was dead, so “to your right,” Toni keeping with her tour guide theme, points out a cluster of occasionally snappily-dressed grunge kids (those sunglasses?) tossing back MethLite, “the JJ”
I like how Toni is like, Don’t do the drugs, as if Jughead would possibly be tempted to do the drugs
Ghoulies eat flesh? what show am I watching? they eat flesh
there’s like literally wire fencing inside the cafeteria
OKAY HOLD ON THERE’S SOME SORT OF ABORTION POSTER UP ON THE COLUMN IN THE CAFETORIUM. I can’t tell what it used to say. “IT IS YOUR CHOICE”? it’s been defaced and now it says “IT S YOUR’S BOY,” or something
Jughead doubts it: Jughead “self-identifies” as “a loner,” like Luke Danes
Toni does an admirable job holding up her end of the first-day-at-new-high-school cafeteria-tour trope, advising Jughead to sit with the Serpents so he doesn’t get gangbanged. Jughead, sit with Toni
Serpent attire seems to consist more of the plaid and the layers and the Ghoulies seem to be more leather jackets and studs
Tumblr media
Archie tries to justify buying a gun by turning it into Fred’s idea
he looks very handsome, brooding by firelight!
“My dad keeps saying ‘Leave it to Sheriff Keller,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, dad, because he did such a great job of catching Jason’s murderer.’ Oh wait, I’m sorry, that was us.” OOOOOH ARCHIE!!!!!!!
Sixth period is Intro to Film: “No, don’t stop him. Archie going Travis Bickle is my favorite Archie yet.” (Archie does not understand this)
Hiram knows FP “values family,” so he’ll probably be the next person to force FP’s hand by threatening Jughead
I liked everyone talking over Jughead’s sweet, trailing “So do we all”
honestly there is a very good telenovela drama-guitar cue as Hiram invites Archie to dinner, to help me know that Hiram is plotting something, although I did already know that because Hiram was speaking
Archie keeps his gun in the garage so that it’s not “in the house”
GOD THE TITLE CARD DOESN’T EVEN COME UP UNTIL NOW
this is the first time I’ve noticed how lovely and periwinkle blue Veronica’s bedroom is!
Hermione tells Veronica not to be “so thirsty” for Hiram’s approval and involvement
I think Hermione is being nice, if condescending, in this scene, telling Veronica that things with Hiram are still sort of weird and to let things come naturally, but Veronica automatically takes it as some sort of jab. of course this is a step up from two episodes ago when she thought Hermione tried to murder her boyfriend’s dad
it’s nine in the morning and Archie took over the English classroom to recruit some bruiser studs!!! #RiverdaleStrong!!!!
Dilton Doiley is a canonically great dancer: Archie invited trigger-happy Dilton, who is whittling a spear or something, because Archie owes him an emotional debt for feeling better protected
Reggie is trying really hard but Archie has to gently let him down that they’re not “taking it to the streets” to “kick ass,” nor are they calling themselves “the Watchdogs”
James Dean-haired Serpent is SO ANGRY at something he just read on his phone that he just LEAVES ENGLISH CLASS
parallel English classrooms! cute
Toni knows Fahrenheit 451, but tries to keep Jughead quiet with her eyes so he doesn’t either out himself as a nerd or simply draw more attention to himself
Fifth period is AP English: Jughead knows where “Fahrenheit 451” comes from but also knows the tagline and also says the tagline
“Welcome to hell.” Jesus this place looks terrible
how stone cold is Mr. Phillips to not just LET an interested student start the paper back up but makes them wait for him to read their portfolio
Betty’s uberpink sweater is back!!!!
Cheryl brought that lurking emerald armchair from home
Kevin is right that it’s not technically Betty’s business and Betty is right that this action is unsustainable
What damn high school in America: would let Cheryl wear that outfit to school?
Cheryl’s plunk, plunk, plunk staccato DramaLite sound cue: “Oh, Betty.”
Cheryl’s pins: she has a very fetching freckle right above her shirt hem
Jughead eats: I think Jughead is at the diner with Archie and Veronica. I think he’s walking to the counter?
“I DON’T CARE.”
“Can he just be a dad for one night?” I’m gonna call that one for you, V
Hal has taken a giant step back from fucking around and is just supporting his girls left and right at the moment. good, Hal
is demanding a letter be published or else he’ll kill again another Zodiac reference?
MY GOD THE BLESSED WALLET
someone who knew Ms. Grundy was having sex with Archie is a wide net, proportionally, but who also knew Fred and Hermione had been making out? is Hermione thus in MORE danger?
“YOUR SECRETS, YOUR SINS” it must be someone who listens in on the Cheryl Blossom sexy guilt quilting bees????
the Black Hood seems to be a guy who was taking Betty’s own-up-to-ourselves Jubilee speech at a certain angle a little too much
“I AM THE WOLF. YOU ARE THE FLOCK. THIS IS THE BLOODLETTING.” Jughead, idly reading this prose on the walk to school, spits his Sheetz coffee all over Alice’s newspaper
Mädchen Amick, MÄDCHEN AMICK: Alice’s expression while Sheriff Keller reads this is like, Mhmm. Mhmmm. I told you all. This is what I told you
Alice and Betty both sometimes just...publish shit
Jughead is SINCERELY TOUCHED that Mr. Phillips liked his stuff so much that he’s getting the paper back. he so rarely just smiles because he’s happy, because something nice is happening to him
his big chunky double-aught headphones are back!
“That will not be a problem for me.”
Weatherbee: “The Red Circle is a school club.” ARCHIE’S FACE
he and Weatherbee are exactly the same height, so Archie...sliding his eyes over to try and parse this surprise alliance...comedy gold…
WEATHERBEE DOESN’T EVEN QUALIFY THAT SHIT HE JUST STANDS THERE AND ARCHIE’S LIKE OH MY GOD?????
is Jughead gently trying to rope in Toni for his paper like Betty gently trying to rope in Jughead for her paper? they both brush heavy dust from the untouched room furnishings off their hands, flatter their subjects with knowledge of their sideprojects. of course Betty had the unexpected added bonus of Jughead being sprung
I don’t know who the beanpole Serpent is with Sweet Pea, but he needs to step up his game. just hanging around with that stringy hair? look who’s in the room with you
“hat in hand,” IF YOU WILL
Toni Topaz is tiny and Sweet Pea absolutely does as she tells him
“the farm” still “has room” for Polly, so it’s like a youth hostel? an Airbnb? is it a FARM? are there farmhands? what if Polly starts a romance with a handsome blond farmhand, not knowing it’s her long-long half-brother? can I write for Riverdale now?
The Blossom corpse spawn: Polly standing there in a gentle white blouse with a pink bow in her hair is like comically angelic and she’s like, “I’M HAVING MY COUSIN’S BABY”
Best costume bit: Alice’s sweater with the bows up the sleeves???
more supportive Hal! this is nice! this is like the other shoe dropping, but reversed
Moose is very handsome. he has an absurd jawline and run-hands-thoughable hair. Moose is a big hunk of delicious and he’s asking Kevin to be his Nurse
Gay?!: Midge likes to occasionally spice things up with the JJ, so Moose indulges her (for her haircut), but he really just...wants to cuddle…
Kevin is wearing a smart black leather jacket over a soft purple V-neck to ever so slightly show off his chest hair
Gay.: how fucking—POIGNANT is Moose’s speech??? Moose, where have you been!!!!
Tumblr media
Veronica is the way she is because sometimes she’s just sitting there in plastic gloves and a black sheath dress and her mother comes up behind her and hisses in her ear that she’s courting danger by insisting on socializing with her father
I guess it’s not on Andre’s list of duties to polish the silver
Archie and Reggie, armed with short-range weapons, tearing around in the same car is courting danger the way only two burly well-meaning sixteen-year-old idiots can
“You cannot be here at night unless you’re armed.”
I don’t know but Betty’s electric kettle is the most precious thing
is it wise to write an exposé like that at this school? ...does that mean Jughead won’t do it?
“I THOUGHT YOU LIKED ME RECKLESS,” HE SAYS, TRAILING HIS HAND UP HER SHOULDER, LIKE HE IS HER BRENDAN FRASER IN THE MUMMY
did they discuss this? what is this. Betty said that the motorcycle was “RECKLESS” and Jughead was like, Okay, but you think it’s kind of dashing, right? Like the jacket? The jacket that you hate? I saw you looking at that jacket, and Betty’s like, NO, I WAS NOT, and Jughead’s like, Mmmhmn, why don’t you come sit over here.
IS THIS SOME OF THE BEST KISSING SO FAR?
Jughead was definitely sit-leaning on that table and Betty was definitely in his lap
Betty’s automatic politeness, its depths first seen thanking Cheryl for her poisonous faux-concern for Polly at cheerleading tryouts, resurfaces, saying “That’s okay” to Toni for walking in on them and then not leaving, because Betty is THE REAL SWEET PEA AROUND HERE
Toni was previously informed about Betty as a concept but drew her own conclusions based on Jughead’s aesthetic and was surprised when she got a cheerleader
Reggie has definitely called Jughead either “Emily the Strange” or “Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice” (Lydia Deetz) before
Please protect Betty: I think it’s clear Toni is not interested in Jughead as a piece of man-meat, but Betty being slightly awkward and off-balance about “Great minds” is very soft and fleeting and sixteen
Hermione is playing such a weird, dangerous game. she wanted Hiram out of prison, or didn’t she? is she embracing his return because she couldn’t NOT act like she wanted him back? is she scared for Veronica or having fun with Hiram but not wanting it to bleed over into Veronica’s life or what’s up Hermione???
Cheryl’s hair: Cheryl is just...just HANGING OUT, gorgeously, at Pop’s, with a milkshake and some onion rings, waiting for drama, like an even more morbidly gleeful social commentator Jughead, if Jughead ever had the sense to wear a jacket with a cherry print
Kevin is sort of stocky! probably a good build—for wrestling
“You precious, beautiful, compulsive piece of trash.”
first off I would like an explanation as to why Ethel Muggs has to walk ten miles home along the highway
what sin has Ethel possibly committed???
Jughead sits back to survey his empire in red-lit solitude
Reggie executes a very Death Proof emergency-brake U-turn to get back to Hastings St.
I love all the blue and pink lighting! and the glare of the headlights, and the spooky forest filtering! I LOVE ALL OF IT
Archie skidding to a halt to turn back for Ethel and sort of falling, kicking up a lot of dirt, is A+
Ethel apparently hid in the wheat field across from the old Methodist Revival church
Archie > Dawson: Archie telling Ethel, who is crying, not to be sorry for not recognizing the Mystery Machine driver and then going in for the comforting boy-hug IS VERY GOOD ARCHIE
okay so Betty and Toni and Jughead were lolling around getting to know each other, if you know what I mean, and Betty gets a text from Cheryl and she LEAVES TO GO MAKE SURE KEVIN WASN’T BEHIND A TREE WITH SOMEONE WHO WAS ABOUT TO KILL HIM, ALSO THE IMPLIED SCENE OF CHERYL AND BETTY LIKE DRIVING OUT HERE TOGETHER
Cheryl’s a psychopath chaos angel from hell: “FACT.”
Betty’s velvety pink hoodie is presh
50 Shades of Betty: according to Kevin and Cheryl, who shines her flashlight in Betty’s face, “Dark Betty” is Betty “exploring her BDSM sexuality,” which I think Jughead should get a taste of
I did like Kevin qualifying it with “which you’re allowed to do!”
“So please don’t come here and tell me it’s disgusting.”
Cheryl’s obvious delight at Kevin’s dressing-down is like Kevin’s vicarious thrill at Veronica accusing her of twincest
“$CHOOL OF LIE$” needs clarification. at least I know it’s not Jughead’s tag because the font is not fancy enough
I’ve seen Brick like thirty times: OKAY, SO NOW JUGHEAD? THIS CHILD? JUGHEAD, THEN, IS KICKED IN THE FACE? IT’S JUGHEAD’S TURN? IT’S JUGHEAD, THEN? NOW, THEN?
“He’ll find a way to be offended if that’s what he wants” is a great way of describing so many people I personally know
Certified pedigree: Fred, I am glad you’re still alive. I would miss your grizzled teen face and your reassuring morning voice
Jughead called Toni first, I think, “Hey yeah! That thing he said would happen happened! Ha ha.” then he told Betty the first real lie of their relationship, coming from a place of protection
Toni’s face at the baldness of this story is great
Betty dabbing Jughead’s scraping face-wounds with hydrogen peroxide and a cotton ball, possibly all that FP had in his medicine cabinet?
Fwoopy hair is the best hair: TONI’S FLUFFY PINK PIGTAIL BRAIDS
Tumblr media
plus she has a beanie too! because the southside is cold
“the Creepies”
“Toni, will you keep an eye on him for me? He refuses to communicate hardship unless there is irrefutable physical evidence.”
you know, Jughead has like, seen some shit. maybe Jughead operates with a little self-protective flair sometimes because his life is so full of horrifying peril and degradation
“Damn good coffee”: okay the entire extended Archie and Hiram scene is so incredible I had to watch it like thirty times. “We need to work on our response time,” as if Archie were a firefighter. Hiram acting like the Red Circle is legitimate and fully funded by the state and not operating out of the back of Reggie Mantle’s father’s muscle car. Hermione’s one-shouldered DRESS. “Like the alcohol?” Archie furiously fidgeting with a napkin as he’s offered rum by his girlfriend’s father. Veronica, still not allowed in Hiram’s study
Veronica was rich: the Lodges have a private rum label, like George Clooney’s tequila
“Oh, pobrecita…” seems to be a facetious sort of “You poor thing”
Hermione calls Veronica a “princess” whom “the king” will never let inside his castle—I’m sorry, his “private throne room,” AKA literally the study, then finishes her wine and blows Veronica a kiss. HER DAUGHTER. because Hermione is drunk and has fully embraced her role as frosty crime bitch soap queen. RISE HERMIONE
oh, Polly is really leaving, for real! Betty locks the door!!!!
I love the vaguely confessional-esque screening on Hiram’s study windows, like Veronica’s painting is a sort of cross on the wall, “keeps him honest”
“HONEST”
I can’t tell what the painting behind Hiram is, but he also has lots of landscapes, all individually lit
Every triangle has three corners, every triangle has three sides: Hiram Lodge telling Archie Andrews to stay out of Veronica’s bedroom is a classic that has been with America since like the Civil War but now it’s Hiram telling him to stop sneaking into Veronica’s room followed by advice at how to step up his vigilante neighborhood watch so that Archie will get killed
the outward casualness of “You know...never...hurt Veronica. Ever.” IS REALLY SCARY
Archie may have gotten away that night without actually having to drink any rum, because he did not want to
Betty’s white ballet flats!
These students are legally children: Riverdale is so fucking insane I fucking thought they’d actually fucking stabbed Kevin Keller
what is this guy expecting to get by yelling at Kevin and calling him a tease? ...men
Kevin standing there with his father, crying-nodding, expecting probably to be yelled at, if men who call their sons “boy” are anything to be judged by, instead gets a sort of soft speech from a guy who knows there are people being killed for kissing ladies whose husbands are in jail so it makes sense Kevin is in danger for running around at night looking for anonymous sex, affection
Sheriff Keller, I no longer care that you were running around in circles to find Jason’s killer, because you are very nice to your son
(I am still mad that he hauled Jughead out of school in front of everyone)
Summer + Blair = Veronica: VERONICA’S “THAT SMILE”
I like how Veronica decides the best way to handle being kept out of the Study, literally and metaphorically, is to ingratiate herself into Hiram’s world more via the business
Veronica wants to be in “the room where it happens,” because...she loves me…
I also REALLY like her vaguely witchy pumpkin-orange sweater with the black collar
Hermione’s life is like flashing before her eyes at Hiram’s shoulder
also what’s up with Hermione bringing him all his café con leches? dude’s arm broken?
is that Veronica drinking another brisk Cristal mimosa?
I’m writing a scene where it’s gay.: God help me but Sweet Pea kinda gives Jug an up-and-down once-over when he sits at their table
they nod at each other!
Tumblr media
Kevin is allowed to be pissed at Betty even though the outcome was good, but Riverdale does not have time for wallowing grudges, unless it’s cross-generational and about Hungry Jack
plus Betty’s expression is like, Yeah but I got you out of the woods, boo, DIDN’T I
first of all, Archie reclaiming homemade ski masks is amazing, and the fact that they are not red but in fact Pussy Riot-pink is just a blessing on top of blessings
Archie’s like, But I’m not going to wear a mask because he knows where I live, but secretly it was because he thought it made him look the coolest
The female gaze: why are their shirts off? I posit: why isn’t EVERYONE’S shirt off?
this YouTube video is beyond even Hiram’s wildest dreams
then he swivels around to face Veronica’s portrait, like THIS IS FOR YOU, MIJA
NEXT WEEK: THE ZODIAC KILLER IS COMING FOR BETTY COOPER
Nicole Xiao
Basics Name: Nicole Xiao L’Ane she was born Xiao Nicole L’Ane but she switched her first name and her second name, her surname is luxembourgeois Ethnicity: Eurasian (father of pure luxembourgish family established in China for years and Chinese mother) (mother is daughter of Bengali father and Chinese mother living in Laos for decades) so (dad -> white & asian mom-> bengali and chinese) Age: 22 Sexuality: Straight, grey-aromantic Employment: Writer Birthday: 7 janvier 1995 Sign: Capricorn Eye Color: Amber Hair Style/Color: straigt black shoulder length hair Height: 5’03 Clothing Style: conservative, colorless (brown sometimes) Favorites Color : pale brown Animal: rodent Movie: Westerns,Japanese horror films & Asian actions film Game: pc games Music: alternative rock, blues, rocknroll, Electro pop, basically all her playlist Drink: milk tea Food: All Chinese street food involving pork Thoughts Your First Thoughts Waking Up: I don't waste time, I wake up and go no time to wander What You Think About the Most: my adoptive parents John and Authrine What You Think About Before Bed: Why Liun and I can move to welcome 3 more people to live with us You Think Your Best Quality Is: My apathy really, I love the fact that I have the ability to dissociate and be immune to what hurts others the most, the people I'm close too feel comfortable telling me anything, bc most of the time it don't phase me and I never judge nobody, I'm like a blank page….” Childhood memories/Relationships/Idols/etc. Nicole fave memory as a child is the birth of her little sister Vili as her and Liun felt lonely since brother was always at school and mom work 3 job and is only home sumdays, they took care of her like their 3rd twin. Mother (Xue Han): She was not close to her mom at all bc she was barely home working 3 jobs first at a local laundry from 12 to 4pm, in a hotel from 6pm to 10pm and as waitress from 10pm to midnight, therefore she slept at their aunt house and left Nicole,Liun and baby Vili alone with their brother who went to school from 9am to 6pm. So they barely had time to bond plus the mom had an exhorbitant love for money when she married she just did bc he impressed her with his family rich reputation in China and the fact he was half white(she was very ashamed of her Bengali heritage in a white beauty supremacy Laos & China) so she urged to marry him and weirdly she had a child shortly after as a “surprise” (huh she was pregnant before meeting him she took the opportunity by marrying what she thought was a rich man to make him believe the baby was HIS and secure the wealth she wanted) after the marriage she realized Qiang was not a direct heir of the “L’Ane” family wealth but just a cousin of the Heir he had an argument with and they cut him out of financial support, they became lower middle class, by that time she was pregnant with twins and didn't announced to Quiang, who signed paper saying that his family had just one Child and no plans of another bc China population was too much and birth had to be limited. They recieved 5,000 for accepting the “agreement” not to have children but then she announced her pregnancy after Quiang decided to hide the kids by not declaring them at birth, just the time to get a lawyer to annul the agreement. Fearing to get arrested bc Quiang didn't find a lawyer that will accept to be paid a lower middle class family revenue she declared the children, Quiang accepted but left the house not taking care of the newborn twins for 5 month, And Xue had to payback the 5,000¥ so she took a job and had her family track Quiang down they found him, homeless and hungry he came back home w no explanation and was a stay at home dad for the twins and Xue worked. To payback the money he secretly got into the Chinese mafia and sold drugs and firearms in secret places. Him & Xue never talked in that period he hated her to have put them in this situation of payback and she hated him to have lied about his wealth. Within 2 month they paid back now everybody's just acted like this never happened and the subject wasn't talked again. Xue stopped the working and rebecame the stay at home mom, Quiang continued to mysteriously bring much money home but Xue didn't question it as they became upper middle class and her lifestyle was fancy. Quiang was depressed bc he wanted out of the mafia but that's impossible unless death, he put Kein in a high private school. But 2 years later the twins were 3 year old, Quiang brutally left the house, they got kicked out their wealthy mansion and back to their lower middle class life, Xue was in the last stage of her pregnancy and Kein was not kim led out of school as it was vacations but for the rentrée Xue had to find a solution she send the twins to her aunt and went work in the capital while pregnant. And continued to work after Vili birth that she left at the aunt house and Keon still went to school. The mother was close the twins as baby but unable to bond as they grew very mature at the age of 3. And even know Xue is like a old connaissance who gave them up for Nicole. Father (Quiang L’Ane): Weirdly she gets along beat with Quiang even if he was an on and off dad she as no difficulty or awkwardness talking to him maybe because Nicole is Schizoid she really not is big on social relations so even if he don't talk to her in weeks she won't hold no grunges against him, talking is very spontaneous with Quiang and Nicole it's that personal daughter-dad bond that only them can get. After he left when she was 3, he came back a month after her sister birth and secretly took them (Nicole,Liun & Kein) with the permission of the aunt who stayed with vili and told nothing to Xue, and they stayed with him and he will introduce them to “cousins” Wen & Lam and he frequently did that half month without Xue ever knowing the only time he came see her was to file for divorce BROTHER/SISTERS: Nicole and Kein where very close he was the perfect big brother at least he tried, stealing stuff for them to eat, reading them stories celebrating their birthday by telling every neighborhood who gave them flowers, coming to take them after school everyday being the funniest and indépendant from anybody. When they got adopted he was way more depressed than Liun (who wanted her momma) and Kevin didnt understand how she felt nothing he got bullied at school bc he couldn't talk English and always fought and got in trouble after school because in China he always hang out with his dad and dads friend ( who he didn't know where mafia and Chinese Gamgsters) so he had a strong character. The bullying didn't last and he was the most feared/respected at school. So at home it had an effect on how he didn't interact with sisters or adoptive parents (who he HATES) anymore from his high school years. When he went to college he got back to his old self as he saw his dreams of big study came true slowly bc he makes himself remember how his dad made everything to have him in school and how proud his momma was so he got right to the only memory of his parents that he had his sisters. Just has everything went good John and Authrine went to Laos with all the children for vacations and they linked up with Xue, Liun,Kein and Ovi were the happiest and Nicole was very apathic with her mom but was polite. So they linked up and spent few days with her she asked about college for Kein then (OF COURSE) for some money as if what she was sent monthly by the rich family was not enough. And she revealed in an argument with Quiang that Kein wasn't his son after Quiang came out of nowhere to say hi to his kids, and Quiang revealed that Wen and Lam were his children. This was what déclenched an identity crisis for Kein he took the first plane back to New York and didn't give any news to anybody but a text to John and Authrine saying he is fine and back in college. They didn't question it. So that he was already lost to he was in high school he was back broken in the identity crisis stage with no answer to who brought him to this world and it's been 2 year he hasn't talk to any of his sisters or adoptive parents or “biological” parents nobody came after him because he sends news every month from a cab somewhere in NYC Your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both.
