i wanna know exactly why you think "[shinigami eyes] is complete garbage and is only used to encourage bullying and harassment". like, if the user is tagged improperly and they ARE pro-trans then that's important to note, but if you are reblogging from someone who others have noted with the extension as anti-trans, i do not trust you as much
i will go and double check if the person i brought up is a terf / spreading anti trans talking points myself (and may report it as false if i find nothing of the sort or even the opposite), but i am not a long term follower of yours and MANY of the people who have shinigami eyes marked on them are blatantly anti-trans, and therefore i prefer to trust it compared to accidentally interacting with anti trans users because i'm not aware of every statement they say on their blog.
it is not a "low mental capacity" issue, it is an "i hate terfs and transphobes and do not want to interact with them in the first place and am taking precautions in ways like installing an extension that can warn me or blocking terf tags or similar" issue
Dude, terfs and transphobes make themselves pretty obvious. You don't need a faulty extension to tell who's who.
As for Shinigami Eyes - plenty of people who are not terfs or transphobes get flagged on it. It's a user-submitted extension with no vetting process. Anyone can submit anyone. And once you're flagged, there's no appeals process. That's it. You're done. You're now officially transphobic/a terf.
And again, if you're relying on an outside source to tell you who to follow and who not to follow - you should not be using Tumblr because you are clearly unable to handle being on the internet without parental supervision. Which means I can only conclude that you're a child (under 13), or you're too mentally deficient to make your own decisions.
You have a problem with this, then get off this blog. We're not changing blogging habits to satisfy people using a bullshit extension for bullying people for wrongthink.

hi so this post has been going around my dash and the person who made it is transphobic (at least) and reblogs from pretty obvious TERF blogs so theyâre probably a terf too.
(ID: A post by @/ rakastiikeri that says: âEvery time, and I mean every time, thereâs a positive post for girls that says âyour sexual boundaries are valid; you donât have to have painful, risky, degrading sex, etc.â some simpering fools always have to ruin it with bullshit like âitâs totally okay to have painful, risky, and degrading sex; fuck as many boys as you want :)â like shut the fuck up. No need to worry, teenage girls are already getting that message from pornsick boys, pornsick media, pornsick âsex postiveâ assholes, and porn itself. All of hetero supremacist, male supremacist society wants girls to have sex with boys, specifically sex that boys want regardless of girlsâ wants and feelings so...shut the fuck up. Literally the last thing young girls need encouragement to do is fuck boys. Shut up. Just shut the fuck up.â End ID)
you guys have GOT to start looking at these peoples blogs when they talk about young girls like this because half the time on this site itâs always a TERF that makes them. it took one search of âwomenâ and âtransgenderâ on this personâs blog to find names marked in red all over the place, and while shinigami eyes isnât perfect, there were names like these:
(ID: a post that has been reblogged by a user called âtehm-allyâ End ID)
âtehm allyâ which means âtrans-exclusionary homosexual manâ I think Iâve seen? and this:
(ID: a reblogged post from user âsighing-is-a-songâ originally posted by a user called âchronic-yonicâ / End ID)
chronic yonic? come on
posts like this ^ (ID: a text post that says âHappy International Womenâs Day to all gold star lesbians! Power to the pussyâ End ID)
and this
(ID: an anonymous ask that says âSometimes I wish the transgender community became its own group. It kinda gives lesbians and gays a bad look. People might be a lot more accepting of homosexuals if these two groups werenât part of the same community. Not being transphobic, just my opinionâ with an answer, from OP rakastiikeri, replying: âYeah, a lot of lesbians and gay men, more than would openly admit it, want to drop the T. Trans activists themselves always complain about how evil and oppressive homosexuals are, so youâd think theyâd support going off on their own and getting away from the mean âcisgaysâ, but they donât want that because they know their farce of a movement rides on the coattails of gay and lesbian activismâ End ID)
so yeah. delete that post, install shinigami eyes at LEAST, and check peoples blogs because nowadays any random post like the one above can just be thinly veiled TERF rhetoric where the op means âtrans womenâ instead of âmenâ in their posts.

Man, like I said, I donât have the energy to have a fight about any of this, but the idea of âif you donât like this person or the thing they do, shun them from YOUR SPECIFIC CORNER OF FANDOMâ is ~Dangerous Anti Rhetoric~ is just wild to me.
Like... shunning is what we do with terfs, just to give one example. We donât harass them - I donât encourage harassment of anyone, no matter how repugnant their views. We donât engage them, because they canât be trusted to engage in good faith and just by engaging you give them an opportunity to push their views to bystanders. You just... ignore them. You install Shinigami Eyes so you can ID them on sight and avoid. You inform your friends when they reblog or promote something made by a person with morally repugnant views. None of that is abusive or anything like the methods antis use with someone who does or creates something they find offensive.
Shunning is the most humane and justifiable method we have of social control within fandom, when we canât control what other people post, create, or endorse. Itâs not an attempt to drive people out of fandom entirely - which, again, would typically require outright harassment, a thing I do not and will never encourage - itâs just drawing a line at what is and is not acceptable, and refusing to interact with people who cross that line. Thatâs a normal, healthy way of approaching fandom especially, when people you disagree with will inevitably continue to exist and occasionally come in contact with you. Itâs also fundamentally not what antis do at all, because their entire goal is the eradication of things they find morally repugnant.
#antis fuck off#pls don't reblog#but you're welcome to reply to talk about this bc I really would like to know if you guys have other feelings about this#but hooboy I feel like this is a world away from anti rhetoric#and I'm pretty miffed someone tried to paint it that way#am I being too much of an anthropologist about this?#are people interpreting 'shunning' to mean something it just doesn't?#for real what the hell

22 and 62, Erich/Alexis? (Urahara optional :P)
(22: Space AU, 62: Love Confessor (Char A confessing their love of Char B to Char C)
âI want to wring his neck,â Erich declares as he collapses into the pilot seat and presses a hand to his face. âCharging across half the galaxy in that cobbled together tin can of his..!â
âHe did it for you, you know,â Alexis tells him with amusement, draping herself over the back of his seat and digging her fingers into the base of his neck. âYou know how he gets, love.â
He groans, letting his head dip forward as Alexisâ clever fingers ease the tension in his neck and shoulders. âYeah, overprotective. Thereâs no damn debt between us anymore, he doesnât need to risk his fool neck just because we get into a bad situation.â
Uraharaâs help had been very useful, Erich will admit. An extra ship and an extra pair of eyes certainly shortened the whole sordid adventure by days, but⌠he knows Uraharaâs usual routes through the aether, and they were nowhere near them.
Which means Urahara went out of his way to find them, after somehow discovering they were having problems. Whichâ
âHow does he even know, anyway?â Erich canât resist asking aloud. He stares at the console in front of him, trying to come up an answer and falling short: Alexis wouldnât have told the man, Erich certainly didnât, so that left⌠âDid he hack our systems and install something? I swear, if that damn man is spying on usâŚâ
Alexis chuckles, her thumb stroking across his spine. Her power flickers through his senses and their connection thrums as she plucks it like the string of some unknown instrument, a note too deep to hear that nevertheless resonates through his bones, safety-surety-love filling every nook and cranny of his being andâ
Under it, a softer note, more tentative, more cautious, like a string left too loose for fear of snapping and instead suffering the opposite problem.
Erich stiffens. âHe didnât,â he protests softly, even as Alexis strokes her thumb across the dual connections once more. âHe wouldnât have,â he swallows back in the face of that soft, aching note. Because Urahara clearly had at some point.
(And heâd done nothing against it, encouraged it, even.)
(It explains more than it doesnât: the mysterious appearances, how they both always knew where the other was, how sometimes he became worried until he could hunt Urahara down once againâ)
(Heâd never recognized it for what it was because Alexisâ connection had never been subtle, had never curled through his Self like mist, ephemeral and ever-shifting.)
(He hadnât thought a connection with Urahara would be subtle!)
Alexis laughs at him and leans over his chair just enough to press a kiss right behind his ear. The action is familiar, pointedâ
âYou knew!â he hisses in offense, twisting around to scowl up at his lover.
âYou moon!â
âI do not!â
ââI wonder what trouble Uraharaâs gotten into lately.â âI havenât heard from him in months, we should take a detour.â âDo you think heâd like to see this?ââ Alexis mocks, her voice high and breathy and filled with laughter.
âI donât sound like that!â he exclaims as his face burns and he buries it in his hands. But⌠sheâs not as wrong as heâd like to insist. He just doesnât sound like a lovesick boy in the process. He doesnât!
Erich breathes out and leans into the hand that presses into the back of his neck, solid and reassuring. For all Alexisâ teasing, she always gives him plenty of time to process when he needs it, and right now he needs it. Because sheâs right. He has been mooning, has been unconsciously leaning into a connection heâd forged without realizing, has been continuously turning them back and back again towards a man he outwardly protests at knowing.
No wonder their last few jumps into the aether have been turning⌠sketchy. Denial never goes over well in a place that reacts to the smallest twist of emotion.
âDo you mind?â he canât help but ask, lifting a hand and reaching back to curl it around the back of her neck in turn. The pulse of their connection thrums deep and steady beneath his hand, unwavering â unshaken â by his own personal crisis.
(Thatâs one of the myriad things he loves about her.)
âOf course not.â
âEven if I want⌠more?â The ties forged between aether-pilots arenât inherently sexual, but Urahara⌠the man shines to his senses and always has. He is powerful, intelligent, adaptable and Erich wants that.
(Part of it is his heritage, he knows this.)
(Quincy have ever been able to See better than any other branch of humanity, even Shinigami. Itâs his nature to be fascinated by a man who shines so strongly and yet carries so few active ties.)
(Strong powers mean strong ties, which means safer journeys through the aether. Every Quincy desires such assurance.)
(But heritage doesnât account for everything, and Erich is old enough, wise enough, to admit that.)
(Sometimes he just wants.)
âThen you want more,â Alexis answers with a shrug, stroking the two connections again, filling his Self with the resonance and making him arch into the touch.
He loves when she does that, loves the reassurance of Connection and the way it makes his body humâ
Pounding feet approach the bridge. The door hisses open but not fast enough, jarring as the approaching person slams a shoulder into it and still barrels on.
âWhat the hell isâ!â the words cut off with a sharp intake of breath and Erich freezes, eyes going wide.
(He knows what this looks like: Alexis hand on his neck, his on hers, his body arched and head tipped back, red still painting his cheeks.)
(He knows what this feels like through Uraharaâs connection: the strange reflected hum of a plucked connection, unexpected vibrations where none should be, the rush of emotion and the longing for more.)
(Quincy can touch what others cannot even see. Quincy can influence what others can only sense.)
(Heâs been told the effect is startling.)
âI think Iâll leave you boys be,â Alexis purrs as she draws away from Erich, mischievous and smug. âHave fun, my love.â
âLexiâ!â
But itâs too late. She whisks past Urahara, giving the stunned man a shove that sends him stumbling closer to Erichâs seat.
Erich stares up at Urahara. Licks his suddenly dry lips. Watches the way Uraharaâs attention latches onto the motion. Feels himself settle.
(He isnât the only one who wants more.)
(Good.)

Shinigami Research and Development Orientation Meeting
Come in; you are the newest graduate from the Academy, yes? Please be seated. My name is Akon; welcome to the SRDI, your new home.
Please stop screaming; many of us have sensitive hearing.
Yes, Iâm well aware that you had put in for the 4th Division. In fact I spoke directly with Vice-Captain Kotetsu about it. She was disappointed, but ultimately agreed with my decision to co-opt your application and bring you here instead. You see, you would have done well in the 4th. Admirably well, honestly. And Iâm sure you would have been quite the asset to them over the course of your career. possibly even making it to a lower seated position.
But youâre going to be doing so much more for, and with, us.
Youâre welcome.
I wonât beat around the bush: I know this isnât what you wanted. Itâs very rarely what anyone wants, initially. But fortunately, or unfortunately if you choose to see it that way, your skills in science, mechanics and energy make you a unique fit for this department. And in time, I think youâll grow to enjoy your time here, and the work you are able to devote your life to.
Now, before you say anything: yes, I am aware of how this department is viewed. I have heard the nickname âFreaks and Geeksâ; I actually kind of like that one and am thinking of putting it on a T-shirt. I know weâre referred to as a group of psychopathic mad scientists with no moral or ethical boundaries to speak of, simply experimenting and creating monstrosities without a care in the world.
And you know what? They are right.
We are the ones who come up with every new piece of technology for the last 100 years. Any scientific advancements, any new weapons, anything that might be a discovery or considered an improvement have developed in this very division. Experiments to further our understanding of the shinigami body medically and physically have opened incredible doors into how we design even the most mundane things. And we do this with a team of highly-dedicated scientists who give everything to their research.
Your job here is not philosophy. In here, you are purely a scientist, and we encourage you to explore that with unfiltered and unbridled curiosity. Anything you can think of, anything you can dream of, we encourage you to research it and plan it until you are ready to make it a reality. I donât want you to stop before each step of your inevitable experiments and wonder what implications it has, or how morally just or sound it is.
Thatâs my job.
Each of your experiments are going to be run by me for approval. If I feel as though the benefits for Soul Society as a whole outweigh the potential moral limitations, it will be approved. If not, youâll receive feedback on where you have gone too far, and will be encouraged to try again from a different angle. And yes, I do veto experiments. Just because you are uncomfortable with something youâve heard of or seen doesnât mean it wasnât carefully considered and eventually approved. And trust me, you donât want to know what Iâve cut.Â
Iâll take the responsibility of any and all experiments the SRDI has officially signed off on. If there is any backlash, your Captain and I will back up the decisions; you will never be brought before the Central 46 for an experiment I have approved. Of course, if you decide to conduct your own experiments outside of my approval, then you will be on your own.
Itâs okay, itâs normal to be shaking right now. Most people are still trying to wrap their head around everything. How about we go over some of our benefits instead, alright? Weâll focus on some of the positive stuff.
As a member of the SRDI, you are given full range of the most advanced and efficient computers, robotics and machinery that Soul Society has to offer. While access is limited during your probationary time, more freedom will come with new information you are able to bring to our squad from a number of topics. Hours are not limited, and we encourage you to spend as many as possible working on whatever next project is plaguing your mind.
In addition, we offer a wide variety of body modifications to aid you in your experiments, or whatever might catch your eye. You get massively discounted rates on installing said modifications, and the appropriate medical-physical performed afterwards to make sure all is in order. From here on out, all of your medical needs will be handled by the 12th division, at no additional cost to you.
No, the SRDI doesnt hold any seated positions. We operate outside of the strict structural hierarchy of the rest of the squads. Many of us find that liberating; the gifted and talented get their due respect, and we work together cohesively without people constantly trying to get a step higher on the ladder, so to speak.
Remember, our job here at the SRDI is to further our understanding of the universe we all currently live in. We know how far to push our research and experimentation, and where to draw the line. The work you do here will live on, outliving you, myself, and any of us who will at one point, undoubtedly, need it.Â
So once again, welcome to the Shinigami Research and Development division. We are so happy you could join us. This is your new family, and this is your home.
No, you may not leave.
Have a good day.
