Summary:

When looking back, Jiang Cheng can very clearly pinpoint the parts of his life where something changed. Where he first learned what loss was, then how to live alone with it. How he built walls around his heart and pushed people away to keep himself safe. Where he realized he needed to bleed in order to heal.

And then the part where he realized healing became so much easier when you had someone to heal with. Where he crashed into Lan Xichen and somehow got intertwined with him, found friendship and acceptance and something else in that kind heart and fiery stubbornness. Found himself in someone else - and then started looking towards the future.
