Okay since I was listening to Dynami it actually got me thinking about Altertale again. It's one of the few character shift AUs that actually works. In THEORY. Having Toriel/Asgore and Sans/Papyrus swap roles is something that's actually really really engaging to me, these characters parallel each other a lot. BUT it's kind of ruined by also swapping the personalities of the characters, there isn't really a point when it's just Sans reskinned to look like Toriel. Nothing else is really changed about the characters besides their designs.

It even discards... like... the relationships of the characters... so Toriel and Asgore are siblings... who let this happen... the Asgoriel dynamic of Undertale/Deltarune is so good, they're divorced and it's hilarious, you can still MAKE IT WORK if you put them in Sans and Papyrus' roles. You can still have the Funny Charming chemistry, just embrace how funny their post-divorce relationship is instead of making them siblings. You can even retain their roles as King and (ex?)Queen of the Underground if you get creative with it.

And it'd also be really cool if the Ruins was replaced with some sort of icy cavern, while Snowdin is more akin to a ruined city. The location swapping was one of my favorite parts of TS!Underswap... I wish it was done more often... and... and... the battles would be so cool to develop too, keeping the characters' fighting styles and morals in mind... it would be so coooool...

I do like ummmmm the designs. Making Sans taller than Toriel is kind of horrible but otherwise the designs are pretty cool and iconic. These are my thoughts (drops microphone without turning it off and it creates a terrible shrieking sound)
