ALSO I am still so angry over everyone for miami, especially the media. I hate the agenda F1 has against him but that will never change the fact that he's the only one who can be the next face of the sport, he has the charm, the talent and the team (iconism wise).
I'm glad charles and his team have already said that there's nothing to change, he has the right attitude and people should stop trying to sound intelligent by saying he has to tone it down, charles would rather retire than settle for mediocrity. joylon palmer, damon hill, ralf schumacher, etc they're some of the biggest losers ever, the literal definition of mediocre, that's why they can't get charles, can't understand his mindset, because they've all settled for less.
charles is the only one who can make difference and he does, baku is a prime example of that. there were absolutely zero updates in baku, he still put the fourth fastest car on the podium twice. because he has that extra bit of edge that most drivers don't. that weekend there were again debates about why he couldn't convert it by idiots who can't understand quali pace isn't race pace BUT (and this isn't a personal attack on them) I never saw anyone saying that why red bull drivers, who have the fastest car by far, couldn't get pole in the circuit where straightline speed is the most important factor. charles makes the difference where the car can't, he is so good that he makes people overlook that ferrari's car is so bad.
In miami, they introduced a floor that only made them a tenth faster but overall it just introduced even more understeer with bouts of extreme oversteer and you could see charles wasn't comfortable. he still tried to make a difference, but is talent is far greater than anything that wheelbarrow is capable of, far greater than anything rules of physics can try to contain.
in bahrain he was comfortably running 3rd, despite the fact that aston and merc were faster than him and alonso got a lucky podium. in jeddah, his pace in traffic was as much as carlos' in clear air. australia was nobody's fault. baku was a miracle, all thanks to him. miami was also a miracle because all it takes is one look at his onboard to see what an unpredictable car he was driving. and now all these so called experts want him to do what, stop trying to be charles??the fact that because he is charles, is what gives us ferrari fans even a little bit of happiness. without him, we would have been nowhere. ferrari would have been nowhere. 2020, 2021, 2022, every year ferrari would have finished even worse in the constructors without him . not a single driver on the grid can do what he does, and yet despite all the criticism, from all sides, he just continues on doing what he does, and he does so humbly.
and people exaggerate his crashes as usual, like when he gets pole everyone just says that points aren't on saturday but then the same people conveniently ignore the fact that he hasn't made a single mistake in the races.
