once again just finished an absolutely phenomenal fic that i have to recommend. this time it's When I Win The World Ends by @weaselandfriends. set in the pokemon universe, but takes a very deep look into the mechanisms on how that world works, including explanations for competitive rulesets and changes. it's a tournament fic, and it's also a story about change and stasis, evolution and what that means. it gets pretty heavy toward the end, but i wholeheartedly recommend it. just incredible. i was breathless reading the last few chapters
