Like. First off, isnt grrm consulting them this time? I know he was doing it for s1 and im sure i read he was doing s2 too. I cant say anything about bad writing, tbh i havent examined it that closely bc nothing about pacing or dialogue has bothered me enough to spend time thinking about it.

The "its not like the book!!!" Thing really bothers me though bc have you read the book? Lmao im not so sure bc some of the stuff you complain about is so weird, also how did you miss that fire & blood has deeply unreliable narrators? It literally says gyldayn is an unreliable narrator on the Wikipedia, hes taking a bunch of biased sources and kind of patches the history of house targaryen together. If you had read the book, youd KNOW that it isnt a definitive chronicle and stuff was likely altered, embellished and left out. Some of the alterations make sense, because why would some maester know about these ppls private lives. Fire and blood is full of propaganda, rumours and bias. Also the stuff that WAS changed isnt really that deep? I really like the change to the rhaenicent dynamic (ill come back to this, theres a reason ppl seem to hate this change lmao), i dont care about maelor and the nettes changes dont bother me that much? (Some ppl are convinced rhaena will get the ENTIRE nettles storyline. Which would indeed suck cough cough, but i dont think thats where theyre going at all lmao)

So i took a look at some of the other opinions of ppl who really really HATE s2 and, WOOOOOOWWWWW,there sure is a lot of homophobia on the yuri Website huh? All of a sudden it makes sense why these ppl popped up 2 weeks ago huh? (And why theyre so bitchy about the changes to alicents character not being a wicked stepmother but more of an... almost lover) Wow, what a fucking pathetic reason to be a hater. Awww nooooooooo this female character is kissing women noooo, theyre ruined!! Even though the relationship was kind of maybe sort of a little implied in the book. (Granted the book talks about a close relationship between rhaenyra, mysaria and DAMON, but see above for rumours and inaccuracies) Also there are a lot of ppl who were genuinely Team green (i did not realise those ppl existed unironically, gonna be honest) who are mad that Team green is portrayed more negatively than Team black and apparently thats unfair. Yeah, idk what to say about that, do you always expect to opposing sides of a fictional conflict to be treated the same and to be equally good and justified? Granted, the "pick a side" Marketing was dumb and encouraged this sort of thinking, but those two teams are not equal lol you can still like the characters even though theyre cheaters, usurpers and Bad ppl.

If you had genuinely read and UNDERSTOOD the books and that theyre full of propaganda you would understand why SOME PPL are either portrayed more positively or more negatively in the show than they were in the book. Just consider WHO was writing the history for one sec.

The first time they noticed how protective Pac was was when they were cooking. It was an accident. A slip of Fit's hand and the knife was being fumbled in his hand. 

"Ouch," he hissed as the blood trickled down his palm. 

Tubbo saw the change in Pac instantly. The way his eyes widened, his pupils darkening as his fangs pushed past his lips. Pac rushed over, grabbing a band aid as he did. Cradling Fit's hand gently, he licked the blood gently off the other man's hand while Fit and Tubbo watched curiously. He laid down the band aid with a sealing kiss. 

Only Tubbo noticed how possessive he turned afterwards. How he seemed to fawn over Fit's every move to try and prevent him from getting hurt in any capacity. While Fit was opening the oven, Tubbo grabbed Pac by the arm and pulled him close. “You're being so protective,” he teased as Pac flushed. 

“I just care about you guys, okay?” 

“Yeah, okay, bossman.”

Pac huffed. “I'm serious.” 

“Yeah, okay. It's totally not some weird ass vampire instinct shit that tells you to protect us from everything.” 

“Cale-se.”

He was nearly unbearable when the men were on their periods. Something about being able to smell the blood coming out of them made him feral as a dog. They had to get used to being wrapped up in blankets while Pac ran around trying to pamper them as much as humanly possible. 

Their friends learned to stay away very quickly. When Pac was deep in his instincts he was a kill first, ask questions later type of guy. After two near attacks, everyone knew to stay far far away if they smelled blood coming from the house. 

“Part of me is sad they don't try and come around,” Tubbo whispered to Fit the moment Pac left the room. They were curled up in bed together pretending they were annoyed at the pampering but loving it. 

“Why?” Fit asked, squinting at him. 

“Hot.” 

He laughed, open and honest. 

The door cracked open and Pac stuck his head in with slitted eyes. “I heard that.” 

Tubbo rolled his eyes. “Oh so I'm not allowed to call you hot now? Wowwwww, I see how it is.” The next moment he was bending over in pain and Pac was rushing over to bring him a new hot pad.

onto less superficial things...i just finished reading book six yesterday and it struck me how idia's heart is genuinely so beautiful. he loves so gently and fully, but with devotion that would destroy the world if he let it loose. being loved and treasured by idia is a privilege, because once he lets you in he would do anything for you (just dont fuck it up or i will beat you up im being so serious LEAVE HIM ALONE)

the extent to which he cares for ortho is so beautiful and so heartbreaking. "leave it to your big bro" im dead. everything he does is for ortho to have a safe and fulfilling life and honestly...it kind of seems like idia is trying to pay ortho back in a sense? like you died (because of me), now i will spend the rest of my life mourning you as punishment. he wants to give him the best life possible and thats just so ourgourgouhgohou,,,, his grieving is so complex and yet its so simple. heartbreaking i tell you.

on a lighter note, he's very passionate about the things he's into as well. one thing about figuring our how to like idia was turning my reaction to his condescending jabs from "oh he's such a know it all bitch what the hell people are literally just indulging in his interests what is wrong with him?" TO "oh he's just excited and getting an adrenaline rush, it's going to his head. he's happy. :)" and that was absolutely growth on my part because. ok AUBURN LORE TIME but i used to have a friend who was very condescending and a HUGE know it all (irl IRL IRL) and i think they definitely impacted how i saw idia because i saw bits of them in him. and since they hurt me so much i projected my experiences with them onto idia, so the first time i met him in game i wrote him off immediately and hated him after i saw what he said to others and how he acted.

but one of the many problems with that approach was that i missed the gentler sides of him. the way he goes back to school for ortho. the way he powers through the masquerade social for ortho. his idea of yuu being "valuable emotional support." his love of cats, regardless of how bad he scared grim. his love of star rogue and the way he made the sequel actually happen, albiet unintentionally. i spent so much time resenting him because "of course he's just another one of those." that i didn't stop to notice anything about him except for those bad moments. and of course, i'm not ignoring them now, i just see them differently. i see him differently.

of course i love that he's relatable, and that he's smart, and i love how when he's comfortable he loses his filter and becomes idia shroud instead of just being Scared of them, but i think that's just. social anxiety. and yk what ive said this before but even when i hated him i would NOT stand for anyone coming for his anxiety. like yeah i hate idia shroud but BITCH GET AWAY FROM HIM. thiiis is where things kiiinda differ ?? bc like. ok. so the circumstances in the Zoromori au r kind of changed so it functions kinda like a time loop (Sunny gets eebied to hisui - dies - spends the next 100-200 years or so alone, becoming a BIT of a bitch. old man. - finds himself back in faraway town, during the time his friends were there - kiinda. probablly not completely intentionally, causes Sunny to get eebied to hisui. cycle repeats) so like. me and my friend were discussing ways to have this cycle break. we came up with a couple but one of the ways was having Sunny get. fucking killed thanks to Omori (again. probably not intentionally.?) leaading too ^_^ Phantump Sunny!! Omori kind of dumps his body off in the woods hoping no one will find it and either runs off or takes his place (it. it makes sense i promise he has reasons i just have trouble wording them) . idk ^_^

I think Basil probably ends up eventually finding him, but probably wouldnt recognize the phantump as Sunny, especially if like. Omori just started disguising himself as Sunny.
