i need to know more on hard of hearing swiss

i am NOT a hard of hearing individual myself, i do have hearing issues but i have never been diagnosed with anything of the sort. if any of this is inaccurate PLEASE let me know so i can fix it as soon as possible!!

swiss has a small level of hearing loss. worse in their left ear but both have hearing loss. them standing with their left ear towards the drum set was a conscious decision bc the loudness of the drums is least likely to bother them on that side.

their in ear monitors (the things that preformers wear on stage to protect their hearing, hear cues, backing tracks, etc) are tuned exactly to their level of hearing loss so they can hear basically exactly what the others are hearing in their in ear monitors

also they do wear hearing aids but tend to prefer to have “quiet time” where they wont have them in. sounds overwhelming and hearing aids amplify ALL sound, not just the specific sounds you want to hear. swiss gets overwhelmed a LOT bc of the random sounds.
