it’s so interesting seeing other people talk about how they play the sims because so many people play WILDLY different styles from how i play it. people who are constantly giving their sims drama or killing them off horribly whereas i tend to be a goody two shoes and give them very nice lives and have only started playing slightly more complicated scenarios more recently...on the other hand players who are very focused on making their sims extremely wealthy with huge ornate houses and most of my sims are a bit more modest/regular people unless it makes sense for their storyline to be fabulously wealthy. i don’t really use mods or custom content (the only mod i currently have is the one that shortens university from 12 to 4 credits because i wasn’t feeling having my sims be in university for their entire young adult span) and some people think the game is unplayable without it...with the new infant update i saw several people say they weren’t pumped about it just because they never play with kids anyway and that blew my mind because i’ve always tended to go for bigger families because i like naming the babies and giving them cute outfits lmfao. as long as we are all having fun!

1- While prototyping stuff for 808 Peppermint made a kitten sized test version of her to make sure everything functioned right

2- Despite hitting enemies with it Chai is overprotective of that guitar. That guitar has a name and gets dusted every morning and night and the first time he breaks a string he's So Devastated he has to lie down for an hour

4- Korsica is a sleeper agent of a gamer. She doesnt really game much bc she has work to do oftentimes but the MINUTE she has a controller she is whipping everyone's asses at whatever they're playing. She and CNMN are their greatest assets in lethal company as the only ones who don't get stupid the second they see a monster on screen.

5- Macaron is banger at card games but cannot shuffle for shit. He always passes the cards off to CNMN to shuffle for him and CNMN takes the opportunity to cheat. Bc CNMN is not as banger at card games but he Will find a way to count cards in every game he plays.

I have so much completely useless knowledge in my head. And I don't even mean like, fandom stuff that at least interests other people.

I mean that I've been stalking this one hypergamy subreddit for months. It's for fans of one insane youtuber whose videos I've never watched, what I'm interested in and know a lot about now is specifically the subreddit and the community on there.

There are several mods but one of them rules the place with an iron fist. It wasn't quite this way when I started reading it, but now almost every post gets locked, some of them very quickly. This seems to be a strategy to keep the subreddit "on topic" — an ongoing problem for the community. See, the problem is that all the hypergamy advice their idol gives out is just laughably stupid. It obviously doesn't work. So instead of being a place where successful rich pampered women talk about how their partners provide for their every wish, it's mostly a place where women post about how it's not working for them.

According this one mod, and most other people there, this is of course usually your own fault. These problems are very simple to solve, our youtuber says specifically how to deal with this. Upset by something your partner did? Practice emotional detachment. He cheated? Our youtuber says all men do, this is normal. Make him apologise by buying you a gift. Don't be naive, men are incapable of love. Love is for your children, not your partner, haven't you watched her videos? Every woman can find a rich man to provide for her, you just have to have the right standards! Date an older, uglier man who doesn't have as many options! Don't ever pay for anything, how do you expect men to respect you when you do that? You need to make it clear that he needs to pay for all dates and give you gifts and pay your bills and give you an "allowance". This is realistic! This should be the norm! It's such a shame how rare true providers are these days. Such a shame how many women will give it up for free. We disdain those women, they don't like us because they're jealous of how pampered and feminine we are! Oh and of course a true provider doesn't expect sex. This is all NORMAL and ACHIEVABLE, if you only follow her advice you WILL find a rich man who provides for you 100% while you only contribute the pleasure of your beautiful feminine non-sexual company!

I'm not even exaggerating here, that's what the subreddit is like. All of this is basic advice on there. I have seen people assert on several occasions that men can't feel love or compassion.

But at this point most posts don't even get to a stage of community discussion anymore, they just get a detailed explanation from this one mod on what the youtuber's position on the issue is and then the post gets locked. It's less a community space and more like a service to have this specific hypergamy gospel explained to you by this one random reddit user.

This mod doesn't of course appear to be in a successful "provider" relationship herself. Almost no one there is. And the funny thing is that the youtuber herself apparently doesn't have that either! She's married, and her husband is not rich. The community's explanation for this is of course that she chose not to be because rich men have requirements that she didn't want to meet. They rarely ever talk about this as an obstacle to achieving that perfect life of course, that's still perfectly realistic! Our youtuber just chose not to pursue it. She could be rich, this is a choice.

They don't seem to realise that her grift is to get rich off people like them, women looking for advice on how to achieve something she herself doesn't have. Her advice still totally works, prommy! Such an absolutely bog-standard grifter promising to make you rich.

I checked out livestreams of hers twice. The first one I watched for a bit and she gave my favourite piece of advice ever:

If you're living with your partner and want to get rid of him but don't want to lose the apartment, what you do is you simply post a fake eviction notice on the door. Pretend to be distraught, say you both need to move back in with your parents, pretend to pack. When he's packed up and left, change the locks. Foolproof!

It's all like that: childishly stupid ideas of how the world and human interactions work, presented with a smug little pouty smirk at the end.

The second time I tuned in to one of her streams, there was stunningly bad looking man there, a face so smoothed out and reconstructed by plastic surgeries and way too much makeup that he was uncanny to look at. He was some kind of grifter selling something too, I don't remember what. Kinda funny that she'd collab with a man. But I did not watch a lot of that stream, the community is much more interesting to me.

And I feel weirdly attached to all the women on there. Protective even, even though I never interact (I'd get banned immediately for saying anything reasonable). But most of them are pretty young, early 20s, and most of them seem to be struggling in some way. They haven't found the right path in life, don't have a sense of direction and get hung up on a grifter promising them easy solutions and a path to a cushy life. Many of them seem to come from more conservative environments and struggle with that, rejecting traditional gender roles because they've figured out that those will never be kind to them, but still being caught up in the whole idea of masculine vs. feminine and the man "providing". It sounds nice to them and they haven't figured out yet that it comes with strings attached, that you will be financially dependant on your provider husband no matter what side hustle you do from home, that's not the same as a career and true independance. And if you don't want a man who sees women as simple equals, the "traditional" provider man doesn't see women as goddesses to spoil instead... he sees them as subservient.

It's also very evident that there's a lot of racism in that community, a lot of it internalised. The youtuber herself is black and to the credit of the subreddit, one thing they do discuss critically is her insistence that black women need to straighten their hair or wear wigs. She considers it part of looking rich and attracting a rich man. Some of the girls do disagree with that, in a "soft" way where they say it's still good advice because of course you need to follow beauty standards even if they're racist because that's just what the hustle is, but that there are also rich men who love natural black women's hair. You can pick and choose what of her advice to follow. And to be fair this is the youtuber's position as well, that you can pick and choose, it will just be harder for you with natural Black hair, but like I still hate that! I still hate that this is the advice she gives as part of her whole bullshit package, none of it works anyway. She could at least be telling women that there are many ways to be beautiful.

It's also kind of funny whenever the girlies try to figure out whether it would be good to go to Dubai for dating, whether it's a paradise full of rich provider men or maybe the "traditional" Muslim men they hope for also have downsides. The girlies always complain about how hard it is in the USA, sooooooo poisoned by 50/50 culture, and Europe is even worse. Where are these good provider men?! They rarely want to acknowledge that the dynamic they dream of isn't traditional at all and more "traditional" men also come with more sexism. They also discuss things like whether it's better to target white men, are they richer? Are they more 50/50 poisoned? These discussions can all get kind of racist but most of all they're just hopelessly naive.

What's definitely racist though is the constant use of the word "pickmeisha" and I will die on that hill. It stands for like a trashy woman with low standards who will date men without being "provided for". I hate that word so much, the way it so clearly invokes the image of a black woman specifically. They could just say "pick-me" but no they have to add a racist twist. And it's not like the subreddit is only black women, it's all sorts and they all use this word with disdain. It's so uncomfortable.

And then they wonder why they don't have any friends... must be because all the pickmeishas are jealous harpies. Yeah they're all crazy misogynist too tbh. They look down on women, they think men are basically a different species, naturally they all seem pretty lonely in real life.

I worry about these girls. I hope it's a phase for most of them. They're unhappy and they're being played for fools by a weird youtuber. I hope they all move on and unlearn this bullshit.

That one mod definitely won't though. If you look through her post history you won't only see that she's incredibly online and has a terrible grasp on what's realistic in real life, she also used to be a follower of ANOTHER hypergamy grifter. She fell out with her and is now active in calling her out as a scammer, but immediately fell for this new one and spreads her gospel now. Such a specific type of person, exceptionally susceptible to self help grifter bullshit. When she realises that this one didn't really help her either she'll just get a new one. And probably moderate a subreddit dedicated to that one too, that's such a specific type of authority that she seems to really enjoy.

Hey, I'm Devil/Liz. I'm not too creative when it comes to challenges. I'm probably not the first to think of this. But let's make it an actual thing.

You start off making your sim. Any gender you wish, make their spouse if you desire, or use a premade townie. Start this like you would the Legacy challenge, but take it as extreme hard mode. We'll get to the reason why in a moment. You start with 0 simoleons, you can only get simoleons from your job. No collectibles, I want to make this challenging. Have one sim that can stay home and take care of the kids, or if you wish, have both of your sims have a job. You can do this on any Sims game if you'd like to. It doesn't really matter. The Sims 2 may be harder though so if you do that one, good luck.

I shouldn't need to explain the generations, since this is just a basic legacy challenge, do whatever you want. Play on Short Lifespan (like the nightmare legacy challenge. Now here's the catch. Every gen, you start over. That means 0 simoleons, rebuild your house from scratch, everything. This makes it hard to expand, and that's the point of this challenge I had in my head. There's no limit, you can do any amount of gens as you want. Or you can do the basic 10 gen legacy. It's up to you. The main challenge here, is trying to make it as hard as possible to expand your house, and tough to raise your family, as you're always on a budget, or can't fully expand. If I come up with more ideas to make this harder, I will update this post. Maybe in the future someone will see this and find it interesting enough to try it out. One day when I get a good PC I will also do my own challenge on YouTube.

Btw if it's Sims 2 the short lifespan doesn't apply to you, unless you use a mod to shorten it...since I'm aware those exist

2. EXTREME HARD MODE: ONLY MAKE MONEY THROUGH COLLECTIBLES, AND NO JOB, this is meant as the opposite of my initial idea. Expanding through jobs, may be too easy for you. Make it more extreme, by only expanding off collectibles. This allows for a bigger challenge than there is initially.

3. Be entirely homeless, and try to expand the best you can. This means no house at all, just trying to live a family the best you can. You may buy furniture, food etc, but you may not build a house. Platforms are allowed, no walls, you can just use a fake roof to avoid rain if you have seasons. Try and keep your family alive. This may be more challenging if you have vampires.

4. YOU CANNOT TAKE ANY MONEY WHEN YOU MOVE IN YOUR SPOUSE. You may give yourself a couple thousand, but the only amount you may take is 6000 or less. If it is a single sim, cut the amount you got from the sim in half. This means, just take away some of the money you just earned so you don't have too much of an advantage. This is to make the challenge harder, as it may take longer to make your house bigger.

5. Because I'm not a full on monster, you may do the challenge you get on occasion where it asks you to get money. The point of this challenge is to be hard, but because it's gonna be pretty hard to expand, I'll probably try to come up with a few loopholes. You may get money from the marriage, if you get the option to do so. This is a benefit within the game, and the 20k could help you expand a little bit. Although, if you want to keep with the challenge, you can just ignore it and say "Under what conditions."

6. Initially I said job and no collectibles, but I feel like that would be harder, and like I said, I'm not a monster. If you would so desire, feel free to do both, since I feel like it's harder on short life span to be able to do very much. The point though, is to make things more nightmarish, so, find secret methods to work for your money. Think outside the box

7. You are allowed to cheat that system I told you about a bit. I am going to allow you, whoever is coming across this thing I have decided to heavily inspire by the whole nightmare legacy thing, to marry sims for their money, by getting multiple of the 6000 simoleons or under. But...ONLY...if you really feel the need to do so. Otherwise stick to the challenge, as I have found, as long as you have enough money, eventually you can afford everything you need, so if you had to keep a tiny home, it's very possible. While I'm not doing my own challenge, since it's currently not finished, since as of making this rule, I am currently still writing it I am doing a random legacy challenge

8. If you want quick money, I will also allow you to do painting, as that can also make you a lot of money. Even if your sim is a painter, this is allowed, so if you really need money, painting is your best option to make good money to expand, since each generation has to start over.

So my Sim and his wife are enjoying their 2nd wedding anniversary by having a big blowout bash at the Stargazer Lounge with the sparkling lights of San Myshuno below them.

Over 50 guests were invited (48 showed). Dancing, karaoke, standup comedy and a DJ booth are but some of the activities that we could enjoy at the new Stargazer Lounge. Also, they have a full bar available to satisfy your imbibements. Plenty of lounge seating to catch up with friends or hang out with your date or SO.

But that's not all! the Stargazer also has a large swimming pool perfect for keeping cool on those warm San Myshuno summer days (and nights). If you're feeling a bit peckish, they do have two grills serving up delicious BBQ meats, veggies, even fish. If that does not suit your fancy, then you can also enjoy gourmet pizzas poolside baked fresh on the premises in their own deluxe rustic stone pizza oven.

So anyways, we decided to use @ts4-poses family reunion group pose to mark this auspicious occasion; plus I do enjoy group photos as my Sim and his wife have a large family. It turned out beautifully as no other group pose pack had poses for very large groups of adult Sims, certainly not 23 of them! Well, using the famous TOOL mod by TwistedMexi and duplicating a few of the poses, I was able to squeeze in 5 more for a grand total of 28..that's right..28 Sims! 😅😅 I did use the Get Famous sofa she used in her reunion group photo.

I have a number of shots both taken by my housemate Angela Pleasant, a level 10 photographer, as well as more oblique angles that caught the city lights and harbor below them via the "C" key in-game (I recently learned how to make wall portraits of the "C" key screenshots for in-game display).

PS: As she states on her page, a couple of Sims may unpose. I had to literally chase them down and get them back to posing. Also, as I had used the TOOL mod to toggle and place some of the Sims, a couple had shifted around when saving the game. Just use the TOOL mod to move and/or rotate them back into position. And turn off autonomy temporarily to prevent this from happening with yours.

01. Planning Stage for Shael (yes, still using place names from Elder Scrolls), with minor excavation. Just tossed up a bunch of columns to support a thin roof, a wall... for the usual keeping the goods from deteriorating.

02. A day later-ish? Felt like it took forever to get that one research thing to gain access to the reinforced steel walls. All (in-use) interior garden plots are mechanite sunlamp and feed into an underground conveyor (though the two hay ones feed directly into a freezing cold barn room). It's all dropped off at the tiny room in the SE, where a workshop helper waits with I/O ports to direct the goods to the correct storage.

Yes, I did widen the river in places (and then cheated with that one mod [rather than using dev mode directly] to replace the rough stone with the same water as the river.The open spot south of the W-E bridge is two fishing zones (both large), but only one fisher drone. Pawns do like to fish on occasion, so...

Ran into an ancient danger excavating for the prison area (east side, mid-way, just under the barn. Thankfully, it was non-hostile ancients, and some baby bugs. Super easy to deal with. And I got a techprint for psyfocus equipment.

03. And where I just left off. Had to switch everyone over to Mining 2, just to get shit done. I want all the mining done, damn it. Odette ran out of focus dropping solar pinholes. Made up the difference with glowstone pylons.

Central animal courtyard cleared except for chunks, some of which will be used to neaten up just above. I still have to run the conveyors for the other inside plots, but since it's gonna be a while before I have the resources to make the damn mechanite cultivators (or get lucky with a PRF trader and have the money or trade goods), it's no big deal. Just getting it reliably lit up is the goal to start.

The last mining should be just the west entrance and the south entrance. Keeping a 3-tile overhang of overhead mountain roof, if only to stave off anything from the sky crushing the turrets that'll go in those places, or the barricades.

On a side note, I hate dry thunderstorms. Lost almost the entirety of a cotton field, and a devilstrand field. I really should have made the fire extinguishers and got those set up as tools for everyone. But oh well. I wanted to move the outside plots anyway.

So, yeah, not having Save Maps and Better Ate Without Table (or whatever it's called) means no issues with either Dev Mode or feeding prisoners. Maybe it's an asinine conflict or an issue with mod order. Dunno. Don't need 'em that bad, so they stay out.

Eyed Ideology, but I'll be patient and wait for mods to catch up. I changed the colour in the mod manager for the ones updated to 1.3, but there's plenty still to go.

I agree with you Mod and I honestly don't think many have left. There was supposedly a mass exit after the Hendall yacht pics in early 2016. Kendall is from the most despised family in the US after the Trumps, plus the pics were of them making out in swimwear, not just holding hands, plus he was cheating on Megan Smith the flight attendant. And yet Harries all showed up for SOTT and HS1 just a year later.

You don’t even know for sure he was cheating. I bet he did in fact had a fling with Meghan, but he was with Georgia in October that year and megan didn’t say nothing about it. She just said about Kendall and it was just two months apart, they were allegedly dating when the whole Georgia thing happened too. I do believe 100% that they hooked up while on tour but like other anon said Kendall went to an 1D concert, they were seen together in different occasions before the yacht pics, I don’t think they just meet up for the yacht and that’s it. I think he fooled megan and made her believe that it was something more serious than it was actually or it can actually not even be true, she may have lied or exaggerated the story to get some clout, she did an exclusive with the sim for Christ sake
