Does anyone have tips/resources for writing when you're suffering with fatigue?

I feel like talking about pacing and resting and being kind to yourself is all good, but realistically isn't going to help me to write much more which is what I want to do.

At the end of the day, writing often just doesn't happen because I have to prioritise work and other stuff. But I feel like I must be missing something that might help.

Fanart of my own fanfiction (Chimera Teto x Android Miku)

Good news! When I woke up and looked at my art again today, I liked it, so here's the uncolored version! I trust you tumblr people, so here you go! You may view. This technically means I've drawn UTAU Teto (here) and SynthV Teto, but I really want to color this and take my time doing so, so here are the lines before it turns into something else hahaha 😂😂😂 Read More for the stuff I wanted to write last night but was too tired to (also the art time lapse)

I showed like two WIPs of different ideas on Twitter but none of them were this LOL (just goes to show how much I wanna draw and see of these two specifically) but the reason I decided to go with this is 'cuz that fanfic I wrote in like one day really got me excited and it made me really want to draw them as I was imagining more stuff about them. Here I'll talk about what I had in mind

I love chimera Teto, especially her majestic wings, and what I drew here is basically inspired by that! Teto's basically the only "living, sentient" thing around Miku so far (I dunno how to approach adding more creatures just yet), which makes Miku extra interested in her. But basically Miku likes Teto's wings and tail too and is very fascinated by them.

I had an idea where Miku is just holding or playing with Teto's tail out of nowhere and complimenting the heck out of her, and that was condensed into this piece. It was too crowded on Miku's side to have Teto's tail there as well, but the reason Teto's embarrassed (tsundere is nice, aint it xD) is 'cuz Miku is indeed praising the heck out of her. Calling her cute and saying how cool her wings are and whatnot.

The dialogue kinda goes like, "Your wings are so cool! And I really like how expressive your tail is! I wonder what I would do with a tail. It's so cute! Actually, now that I think about it, all of you is really cute!!" (Teto, embarrassed: "Stop talking now.") wwww

Miku does have a kinda tail actually! It's the chain on top of her skirt. As an android, I was thinking it works as sort of a battery plug or USB or something. I can show off more of that later (since it's really small here lol) but she can use it to receive electricity and recharge herself, I guess~. (Note to self: make it bigger?)

I haven't shown off much of my art style, but most (normal) characters usually don't have pupils. (See: this Teto, who's a living breathing creature.) As a result, I decided to give Miku pupils (kinda robot-like) to make her seem like more of a robot. She also wears the thing (headphones) over her ears, of course, which I can also use to make her seem more robot-like. There's no green flashing of code in her eyes right now but I might draw that sometime too, after my loads of other ideas...

Teto's wings aren't fragile. They're probably firm, hard, and could even be scaly/rough (up to my own whims or the reader's own preference). Her letting Miku touch her (wings) is probably a huge display of trust/confidence. Teto's wings are strong enough to carry her far distances and even allow her to fly in bad weather, I think. It's up to Teto herself how much energy/desire she has to do things like that though.

This is mentioned in the fic too, but Teto probably folds her wings a lot so they don't get in the way. She's kinda like a bird. I think her silhouette against the sun or moon, with full wingspan, is probably majestic (I'm imagining the Batman symbol for some reason lol). I know some people color Teto's wings as purple, but I specified black in my fic to match her tail. ^^

In order for her wings to breathe, there are probably holes in the back of her outfit to accommodate them, but they're only big enough for the wings (ellipses/ovals probably): she either tears/cuts holes into the shirts she wears for her wings or they already fit her wings so there's no problem. I wonder if Teto made her UTAU outfit herself in this setting. xD (A girl has to pass the time SOMEHOW plus she's probably at least a little bit handy when it comes to clothes and stuff (survival).)

If, while I'm coloring, I need to make adjustments to the seating and lineart and all that, I will, but I figured I'd show off what made me stay up 'til 5 AM last night and then get embarrassed to post 'cuz I thought I wasn't finished yet. sorry dudes, dudettes, and dudoes, got lost in the depression sauce for about since birth a month (??) and i have done no writing. buckle up buttercups cuz i am sleep deprived, lexapro-riddled, and fucking batshit.

Cowering seems like a pretty good move. I sit up and use my legs to scoot me closer to the wall, feeling the damp cement sting my bruises. I'm tired, sore, and ever so desperate. Confused, too. I feel 4 pairs of eyes watch my movements, observing, noticing, deciding. I don't get a moment to myself. Before I know it, two arms are under me, one holding my back and one under my knees.

"Sweet things' already tuckered out."

I hear the tiniest shred of sympathy in James' voice before I feel him walking. I open my eyes and see his face tilted up, navigating the room. He laid me down on what felt like the coldest metal I've ever felt in my life. At this point, I didn't put an ounce of energy into my movements. My previous orgasm and drugged state were draining every last ounce of indignance. I found myself staring at the concrete ceiling (I know, shocker), waiting for someone to speak, move, anything. My lower legs felt like wet bags of sand sewn to my thighs. They hung off the end of the table, swinging slightly, trying to find the floor.A warm hand landed on my shoulder, and then another. Others touched down on my thigh, gently, so as to not disturb my bruises. One of James' hands left my shoulder and held the back of my head so I could see my body, the back of neck prickling from the instant change in temperature. I could see Kirk and Robert with one hand each on my thighs, Robert on the left, Kirk on my right. They were both watching Lars grab a bag from across the room, a black, leather satchel.

"Angel's not gonna know what hit her."

Lars sets the bag down in between Kirk and James before squatting down, opening it, and pulling out what looked like a vibrator. Black silicone, with a gold ring separating the head from the battery and controller part. My eyes widen, and Lars laughs.

"See, just like I said."

The rest roll their eyes and chuckle, before their grips on my skin become tighter, pressing me down onto the table. The toy's buzzing echoed through the room softly. Lars walked to the end of the table before stooping slightly to press the vibrator to my ankle. I gasped at the cold silicone, my hair standing on end. I instinctively jerked my leg, hitting his calf. His leg immediately pinned mine against the leg of the table.

"Oh Angel, you don't want to know what happens to little girls who fight back," he cooed.

"It was an accident!" I croak, trying to keep still.

The vibrator carried on up my leg, drawing circles around my bruises before settling on my vulva. Before I knew what was happening, he cranked the vibrator to the highest setting, and set it directly onto my clit. My whole body jerked but was held fast by their arms.

"Uh! Fuck!" I screamed.

"Lil' bitch can't even take a vibrator!" Kirk laughed.

Oddly enough, his name for me hurt more than the vibrator. Tears welled, threatening to spill over my cheeks. My legs twitched as I screamed, trying to squirm away from the torture. You could barely tell I was moving by how hard they held me down.

"Fuuck! P-please! Stop! Stop!"

"Uh-uh little girl, you don't tell us what to do."

A smug grin flooded James face as he whispered in my ear.

"Fuck. And to think you don't want this." Robert said. He kept on hand on my thigh while he swirled his pointer finger over my stomach. He nodded at Lars, who shifted the vibrator up so my hole was on display.

"So wet for someone who's begging for us to stop," he mocked. He gently pushed his pointer finger inside, making me scream even louder.

"Oh fuck. So tight she would bleed around a fucking pen."

"That's right little girl, keep screaming for Rob." James said before taking his hand off my shoulder and sliding it down my stomach.

His finger soon joined Robert's, thrusting at the same time.

"If she's this fucking tight around two fingers, just imagine how tight she'll be around two dicks." James breathed. Just below the table, I could see his obvious bulge, looking like it was about to pop both the button and zipper of his jeans.

"There's our girl!" Robert said happily before pulling out his finger to shove in my face. It was covered to the bottom knuckle with smooth, deep blood.

I could barely scream out a yes, but he knew from my shattered words.

"Oh my fucking god. Who picked this one out?" Kirk asked.

Robert raised his eyebrows at Kirk before laughing.

They ignored me as I groaned out, my throat burning from my screams.

"P-please..." Kirk looked my way as the other three continued their assault.

Terms and definitions that you can maybe apply to your fan works

I don't know anything about computer or mechanical engineering (it's very funny to me that I am in the Transformers fandom and I don't even care about cars), but I do care about improving my writing. I have gathered a list of terms that sound very sciencey and applicable to mechs, some from Martha Wells's "Murderbot Diaries," some from fanfiction/fandom (shout-out to the Crime in Crystals series by Aard_Rinn and Baebeyza, they wrote Transformers better than any Transformers comic/TV show did), and a lot from just surfing through Google and going, "well, what the hell is this? Okay, but what the hell is THAT?".

Also, as I was writing this post, I ended up getting sucked into this article:

And this really bloated my already long list of terms. Very easy to read if you want to glance it over yourself.

It's not an exhaustive list and who knows if it will be useful to you - but maybe you can reblog with your own add-ons of terms and definitions you think make a Transformers fan work just that much better.

The list is below the cut:

100% CPU Load - CPU is fully occupied with too many processors/applications/drivers/operations - not necessarily synonymous with an overload.

Actuators* - A device that causes a machine or other device to operate (Ex: a computerized unit instructs the actuator how to move the tires on a vehicle); create linear and rotary movement (Ex: A hydraulic actuator on a valve will move that valve in response to a sensor/signal); Linear actuators "move a piston back and forth inside a cylinder to build pressure and 'actuate', or complete an action".

* Think of actuators as devices that help produce linear motion and motors as devices that help produce rotational movement. Hence, some consider actuators as a type of motor. But a motor is not a type of actuator (jhfoster.com).

Alternator - Converts mechanical energy to electrical energy with an alternating current. The stator and rotor inside the alternator work as magnets and rotate to generate the alternating current. Then the alternating current (AC) is transformed into a direct current (DC) that charges the battery.

Archive (Archive files) - used to collect multiple data files together into a single file for easier portability and storage, or simply to compress files to use less storage space.

Arithmetic Log Unit (ALU) - the part of a central processing unit that carries out arithmetic and logic operations on the operands in computer instruction words. In some processors, the ALU is divided into two units: an arithmetic unit (AU) and a logic unit (LU).

Augment - Make something greater; increase.

Auxiliary Battery - Designed to run as a backup to the starting battery and provide power to some essential equipment like engine start/stop and other systems that require power while the engine is off to put less strain on the main battery and alternator.

Bandwidth - A measurement indicating the maximum capacity of a wired or wireless communications link to transmit data over a network connection in a given amount of time.

Behavioral Coding - A term used in Martha Wells' Murderbot Diaries; essential, code for behaviors.

Branch Instructions - Use programming elements like if-statements, for-loops, and return-statements; used to interrupt the program execution and switch to a different part of the code.

Branch Predictors - Track the status of previous branches to learn whether or not an upcoming branch is likely to be taken or not.

Buffer - A region of memory used to store data temporarily while it is being moved from one place to another.

Cathodes vs Anodes - Cathodes are the positive electrode while the anode is the negative electrode; electrons flow from the anode to the cathode and this creates the flow of electric charge in a battery or electrochemical cell.

Catastrophic Failure - Complete, sudden and unexpected breakdown in a machine, indicating improper maintenance.

Central Processing Unit (CPU) - Primary component of a computer that acts as its "control center"; complex set of circuitry that runs the machine's operating systems and apps; the brains of the computer. * Components: Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), Control Unit (CU), Datapath, Instruction Cycle, Registers, Combinational Logic, the Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), etc...

Clock - Determines how many instructions a CPU can process per second; increasing its frequency through overclocking will make instructions run faster, but will increase power consumption and heat output.

Combustion Chambers - An enclosed space in which combustion takes place, such as an engine; jet engines also have combustion chambers.

Condition Codes - Extra bits kept by a processor that summarize the results of an operation and that affect the execution of later instructions.

Control Bus - Manages the communication between the computer's CPU and its other components.

Control Unit (CU) - Manages the execution of instructions and coordinates data flow within the CPU and between other computer components.

Cybermetal - Element native to Cybertron and Cybertron alone.

Datapath - The path where data flows as it is processed; receives input, processes it, and sends it out to the right place when done processing; datapaths are told how to operate by the CU; depending on instructions, a datapath can route signals to different components, turn on and off different parts of itself, and monitor the state of the CPU.

Diagnostic and Data Repair Sequence - Term used in Martha Wells' Murderbot Diaries; exactly what it sounds like.

Diode - A semiconductor device with two terminals (a cathode and an anode), typically allowing the flow of current in one direction only.

Discrete Circuit vs Integrated Circuit- Single device with a single function (ex: Transistor, diode) vs Devices with multiple functional elements on one chip (ex: Memories, microprocessor IC and Logic IC).

Drivers - A set of files that help software (digital components, such as Microsoft Office) interface/work with hardware (physical components, such as a keyboard); allows an operating system and a device to communicate.

Electromagnetic (EM) Field - A combination of invisible electric and magnetic fields of force; used in fandom by mechs to broadcast emotions to others.

Flags - A value that acts as a signal for a function or process. The value of the flag is used to determine the next step of a program; flags are often binary flags which contain a boolean value (true or false).

Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) - Consists of an electronic control unit (ECU) and related accessors that control aircraft engine performances.

Gestation Tank - Used in mech pregnancies, you can pry it from my cold, dead hands.

Heads Up Display (HUD) - A part of the user interface that visually conveys information to the player during gameplay.

Heat Spreader - Often used in computer processors to prevent them from overheating during operation; transfers energy as heat from a hotter source to a colder heat sink or heat exchanger.

HUB - A device that connects multiple computers and devices to a local area network (LAN).

Inductive Charging - How I imagine berths work; wireless power transfer (ex: Wireless charger or charging pad used for phones).

Instruction Cycle - Also known as fetch-decode-execute cycle; basic operation performed by a CPU to execute an instruction; consists of several steps, each of which performs a specific function in the execution of the instruction.

Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) - The figurative blueprint for how the CPU operates and how all the internal systems interact with each other (I think of it like a blueprint for the brain).

Irising - Term used in fanfiction (specifically the Crime in Crystals series) to describe the action of the of the spark chamber opening ("The Talk", chapter 6, my absolute favorite chapter out of the entire series). I just really liked how the word sounded in that context.

Life Codes - "For those of us who were forged, Primus, through Vector Sigma, generated a pulse wave. Each one a data-saturated life code faster than thought, brighter than light, racing across Cybertron, sowing sparks..." (~Tyrest/Solomus, Volume 5 of More Than Meets the Eye)

Memory Hierarchy - Represents the relationship between caches, RAM, and main storage; when a CPU receives a memory instruction for a piece of data that it doesn't yet have locally in its registers, it will go down the memory hierarchy until it finds it.

Levels: L1 cache (usually smallest and fastest), L2 cache, L3 cache, RAM, and then main storage (usually biggest and slowest); available space and latency (delay) increase from one level to the next

Depending on the multi-core (a core is usually synonymous with a CPU) system, each core will have its own private L1 cache, share an L2 with one other core, and share an L3 with more or more cores.

Motors* - Any power unit that generates motion; electric motors work by converting electrical energy into mechanical energy... when this happens within a magnetic field, a force is generated which causes shaft rotation.

Multitasking Operating System - Allows users to run multiple programs and tasks almost simultaneously without losing data; manage system resources (such as computer memory and input/output devices), allocate resources, enable multiple users, and eliminate long wait times for program execution.

Network - A set of computers sharing resources located on or provided by network nodes. Computers use common communication protocols over digital interconnections to communicate with each other.

Network Feed - The continuously updating stream of content that users encounter on networking platforms.

Neural Network - A type of machine learning process that uses interconnected nodes (like neurons) to teach computers to process data in a way similar to the human brain; a form of deep learning that can help computers learn from their mistakes and improve their time.

Nimbus - A luminous cloud or a halo surrounding a supernatural being or a saint; has been used in fanfiction synonymously or in junction with the corona of the spark.

Nodes - A connection point between devices that allows data to be sent and received between them.

Oil Sump/Oil Pan - Don't forget to change your mech's oil.

Out-Of-Order Execution - A paradigm used to minimize downtime while waiting for other instructions to finish; allows a CPU to choose the most timely instructions to execute out of an instruction queue.

Overload - Orgasm; an electrical overload occurs when too much electricity passes through a circuit, exceeding its capacity; an information overload is when a system receives more input than it can process, or a state of being overwhelmed by the amount of data presented for processing.

Pedes - Feet

Pipelining - A technique used in computer architecture that allows a processor to execute multiple instructions simultaneously, improving overall performance.

Processing Capacity - The ability and speed of a processor, and how many operations it can carry out in a given amount of time.

Program Counter - A special register in a computer processor that contains the memory address (location) of the next program instruction to be executed.

Programmable Nanobots/Nanites - Cybertronian microbots programmed to do work at the molecular level; used popularly for surface healing and pigment in mechs.

Protected Storage - Provides applications with an interface to store user data that must be kept secure or free from modification; a storage method; a function in mainframe hardware.

Protoform - Formed of an ultra-dense liquid metal and are extremely hard to damage; the most basic Cybertronian form of raw, free-flowing living metal; first stage of Cybertronian life cycle

To create a Cybertronian, you need the protoform, the life-giving spark, and alt-form information.

Register - A type of computer memory built directly into the processor or CPU that is used to store and manipulate data during the execution of instructions.

Ex: "When you run a .exe on Windows... the code for that program is moved into memory and the CPU is told what address the first instruction starts at. The CPU always maintains an internal register that holds the memory location of the next instruction to be executed [the Program Counter]"...

Resource Allocations - The process of identifying and assigning available resources to a task or project to support objectives.

Risk Assessment - Focus on identifying the threats facing your information systems, networks, and data and assessing the potential consequences should these adverse events occur.

Routine - A component of a software application that performs a specific task (ex: Saving a file).

Servomechanism - A powered mechanism producing motion or force at a higher level of energy than the input level (ex: In the brakes and steering of large motor vehicles) especially where feedback is employed to make the control automatic.

Servos - Hands

Shellcode - A small piece of executable code used as a payload, built to exploit vulnerabilities in a system or carry out malicious commands. The name comes from the fact that the shellcode usually starts a command shell which allows the attacker to control the compromised machine.

Semiconductor - A material used in electrical circuits and components that partially conduct electricity.

Semiconductor materials include silicon, germanium, and selenium.

Struts - Bones; A rod or bar forming part of a framework and designed to resist compression.

System/System Unit (in computers) - A setup that consists of both hardware and software components organized to perform complex operations/The core of your computer where all the processing happens.

Task Specific Accelerator - Circuits designed to perform one small task as fast as possible (ex: Encription, media encoding & machine learning).

Teek - Used in Transformers fandom in conjunction with EM Fields; when a mech "teeks" another mech's field, they are feeling the emotions that mech is broadcasting.

Transistor - Enables a computer to follow instructions to calculate, compare and copy data.

Universal Serial Bus (USB) - A standard plug-and-play interface that allows computers and peripheral devices to connect with each other, transfer data, and share a power source; allows data exchange and delivery of power between many types of electronics; plug-and-play interface is also a type of sexual activity used in fandom.

Warren - Used to refer to a group of minibots with their own social hierarchy and culture (Seriously, read the Crime in Crystals series, it's better than canon).

hi how does the power situation work with all the next gen? i've been trying to figure this out for ages and i found your next gen fic and figured you'd have a general idea (or one that i like best). i know wyatt's twice blessed so he has a lot of stuff but chris seems to have prue's abilities and then paige's twins have piper's abilities split up between then. did the cupitches get any halliwell powers and what's melinda's power? (by power i mean like... special power, yknow, how the twins got piper's abilities split up) i know they're all capable of basic witch stuff of course

BASICALLY. i think i'm asking for a rundown on how powers work for the nine of them (henry's power is being real to me u don't have to explain that one)

okay so basically in my writings Wyatt has been stripped of the twice blessed destiny (which, akin to having The Source, is a power battery that augments and enhances and like boosts a witch's powers) making him now as powerful as a first born warren witch (read: hella powerful) but not a god, and then Melinda is also a proper true to form witchlighter -- leo was/is still in my writings a whitelighter so melinda is a proper halfling. i think those are my only major divergences from canon so okay!!

WYATT had the powers for telekinesis, telekinetic orbing, orbing, & healing but his main power is Projection, which is manipulation of everything that isn't. essentially, the ability to create something out of nothing. this includes energy blasts, which can be used to vanquish demons. this also means he can create things like, yes, dragons, or any other monster if he felt inclined, a full building, you name it. BUT. he has to have a full concept of how it works to make it so to speak. So Like. wyatt could make a car. but as he is not an automotive shop, he can't super make a working car. if he studied it and understood exactly how cars work he could, but he's not a car guy. if he were to make a car, it would run entirely off magic, meaning for long as it exists / has to run, he is being tapped into it and drained. so like he could create a monster or even a dog or whatever, but as he doesn't fully understand innards and the creation of life and souls and all that, they just wouldn't be real. eventually they would fade if wyatt himself does not release the projection

CHRIS is just your basic telekinetic he also has orbing and telekinetic orbing. he is an incredible gifted witch and a very strong telekinetic. right now, he strength lies in brute force -- he weight trains as a telekinetic, i wouldn't be surprised is he was able to lift gram's marble statue from witch prue is it anyway. i don't think he could throw it across the room (yet) but the point is he's stronger than your average telekinetic. his aim (magical) is also decent because his aim (normal people) is kinda dogshit so he usually has to use telekinesis to guide things he throws (e.g. potion vials). he's not exceptional as minute movements (yet) such as like stopping someone's heart from the inside, but that's just because he doesn't train like that

MELINDA is our third witchlighter and can orb, telekinetically orb, she's an empath, and she's a telekinetic. technically. the way her empathy fuses with her telekinesis actually makes her much more adjacent with a psychokinetic than a technical telekinetic (a place where i think prues powers could have easily developed had she not died). the main difference between melinda's telekinesis vs her brothers is her brothers move things they send out lil telekinetic blasts but it's all v external. melinda can actually use her telekinesis to touch/feel an item. it's not technically proper psychokinesis either because she still has to be in the location to get a vibe she can't sit in the parking lot and tell you where the light switches are in the back room of the building but she can sit in the manor living room and feel whether there are flowers in a vase in the foyer, she can tell you if there's a textured rug in the sunroom. It's kind of like echolocation, her telekinesis lays a blanket over the area she's in. If she's pinned behind a rock in the underworld, she can feel where the demon is (that one's extra easy bc her empathy gives her extra strong clarity when the thing she's feeling is experiencing strong emotions). and then, of course, her empathy is just kinda is empathy it's not super strong atm she has to be in the same room as, ideally within six or so feet of, anybody to get a really solid reading. touch is a main way she channels the power. if she really focuses, she can extend her power to about the size of an full american football stadium (lots of people), or, if they're hella spaced out, about one suburb block, but this is a major extension (nigh overextension) of her powers. with, of course, the caveat that strong emotions augmented by magic (like the demon of rage, demon of anarchy, shit like that) stands out to her quite loudly, she's v attuned to that.

TAMORA&KAT have a psychic connection to each other. that is specifically because they are both twins and witchlighters (tho that -light part is getting kinda distant). all of sets of siblings have some vague type of connection, like they would have able to tell if their immediate sibling is like mortally injured/dying (probably... like. in the same sense the original charmed ones are able to in the show), but since tam and kat are literally identical twins like one being split into two in utero like. they can communicate with each other psychically. this involves both like communicating thoughts (across any distance) and the ability to astral project their sister to them, provided that the sister is already open to being called (asleep, unconscious). the caveat with this link is it's only intact when the girls are at their standard chemistry. so, if their brain is altered by caffeine, alcohol, potions, medication, anything, their communication is thrown off. neither of them are on anything prescription, but if one of them were, there would be a brief period where the twins would struggle to communicate, lasting roughly four(ish??) months or so, until the link had reached it's new stable plateau if you get what i'm saying.

on top of that TAMORA has piper's blasting power and the whitelighter healing power. between her and her twin, they kind of have a sun/moon dynamic going on with their powers which is kind of funny bc in this said dynamic, tamora is actually the sun, even tho her irl personality really does not reflect that at all (yet). so her powers are all very like warm/hot/burning + a development soon be be related to light. so right now her powers are blasting and healing, which are loosely related in my mind because healing is inherently warm in my mind. she was able to practice molecular acceleration when she was a youngin but now she only has molecular combustion as that was what her power has evolved to by the time they were unbound again so that was the only part of that power she trained.

KAT is on the "moon" side of this spectrum, her powers are more for the activities shrouded in shadow (#tome). both freezing, orbing, and even her omnilingualism are all this kind of secretive powers, they're made to blend in and hide from detection, which, kind of like tamora's, sit counter to her current personality. also like her sister, while theoretically she possesses the capability for molecular deceleration, that is not a power she knows how to access at all. kat's strength by far is her freezing radius. she can freeze a lot of things, she can freeze very powerful things (not upper level demons quite yet but eventually probably), however, she is shit at the minutia of freezing. she cannot unfreeze people, much less body parts. she also cannot "hold" a freeze while moving someone's body (e.g. moving their arm so the gunshot misses would immediately unfreeze someone due to agitation of the hold/freeze). if she's fighting and henry is there she fully has to orb him somewhere else (usually magic school)

PJ&PARKER&PEYTON have some shared cupid-witch (cupitch) powers. the first is beaming, the cupitch variant of orbing. orbing is more thought based, beaming is emotion based. both are teleportation powers. since the sisters are all a) sisters and b) of the same hybrid species, they can sense each other in a manner akin to a whitelighter's charge sensing. they can get a loose read on their sister's emotions and the vibes of their surroundings if they really try. this limited empathy also grants them "cupid vision," giving them the ability to see both love and sexual attraction. love is a gauzy, hazy, fuzzy type pink aura that reaches out to others. If two people are in love with each other and in the same room, they will see one singular aura encompassing the two. sexuality is a purple-y electrical connection. If two people are both sexually attracted to each other, they will form their own sort of circuit. if a person is horny but not attracted to anyone in the room, electricity will just travel over them. the caveat with these abilities is due to the refractive (?? i feel like that's the right word?) nature of these auras you can never see an aura travel towards you bc it is heading directly towards you. the cupitches struggle to see love connections for any of their sisters because they all love each other so much they just have one strong linked aura between them. they can see if someone finds their sister hot, but quite frankly they don't like to check bc it feels weirdly invasive!! the girls can slip into cupid vision as easy as unblurring thir eyes, but if they want to see the auras more clearly/for longer periods of time they need assistance from their cupid rings. their personal cupid rings can also act as a small battery (akin to the twice blessed augmentation but way smaller. think aaa battery vs. car battery) and strengthen their powers if they really try to tap into the power of the ring.

PJ has her personal witch powers of levitation and astral projection. i liked their connection bc they are widely considered the prue/phoebe powers to be switched, so to speak, and i liked that juxtaposition between her mother and her namesake. levitation is levitation idk it's just what it sounds like. astral projection is similar to what we see in the show but since pj is no prue (yet) she cannot maintain limited conscious as prue could (her head down but stay standing state). pj has to fully conk out. her mysterious bruise games leaves everyone else in the dust.

PARKER has the sole with power of premonitions. she has no active power (kinda. beaming is debatably an active power.) she is the only one of the next gen to lack an active (witch) power. however, she has trained her premonitions well, she can get a premonition almost on command, she can recall premonitions by essentially using the emotional scar they leave on her to retrigger it. so like, it's not a permanently stored thing, but she can bring back a premonition usually for the present case she's working on. she can almost subconsciously uses premonitions in her hand to hand combat skills by anticipating her opponent's next move. since parker converted her cupid ring into a cupid athame it functions slightly differently. she can beam it to/from her. when she has not physically beamed her athame to her, it actually ceases to exist. it becomes a physical item once she beams it to her; it will continue to exist until she beams it away. when she beams it away, it actually become a part of her aura. technically speaking! this makes her a stronger witch that either of her sisters because she is (now) permanently tapped in her cupid's ring. but you and me are the only ones that know that shh.

PEYTON has telekinesis as her only active power. she's good. nothing to write home about, but not only is she the youngest of the generations, she's also just like, hella young in general. her powers have yet to grown in any way that marks serious deviation from the standard

Three facts about me:

I am immune to cholera. Not through the vaccines or through getting cholera, but through genes. It's complicated.

I have moderate-moderately severe hearing loss, but I've gotten top of my music classes 3 years in a row, play several instruments, have almost perfect pitch, I conduct my church congregation and the junior school choir and I'm weirdly good at accents. Rather ironic, isn't it?

I can't see stars. Okay, that's a bit dramatic, but I genuinely cannot see most stars. Even in the countryside I can still only see a couple. Only the really bright ones (Venus?) are visible; everything else is just a dark canvas mostly. That's on having a rare genetic disorder :D

Favourite season: Autumn or Winter. Where I live the majority of native trees don't change colour, so when I finally see a cluster of beautiful autumn trees I get ridiculously happy. Summer here is also hell (quite literally, a third of the country burnt in the summer of 2019-2020) or it's flooding, so I hate it. I adore the way the sunlight is so golden and warm in the colder months and how the shadows are always long. It's sonoretty and refreshing and I don't get dehydrated or heat exhaustion, which is nice.

Continent where I live: Australia/Australasia/Oceania whatever it's called idk anymore (no I do not walk on the ceilings here, in fact, I would go so far to argue that I'm not upside-down because there is no up or down in space, there is just space. How I spend my time: mostly school because school, or doing extra-curriculars like music and ballet, but in my spare time I like to think about people and the world and humanity and behaviour and minds and life and many deep things that often intimidate people. Oh, and I write. Obviously.

Are you published? Not yet. I'm currently writing a book that I'm really really proud of and I want to finish and publish. The only thing is that it's technically a fanfic, but the only thing that really makes it that is the character, so if I change a name or two and maybe switch up the outfits, then it will easily pass as another historical fiction book

I used to like watching sports anime. Honestly, Blue Lock might just be my most recent but I'm trying out this Baseball one called Oblivion Battery.

The reason why I didn't like watching sports anime anymore... is because they all just kind of blended in to one another. Like, okay, I'll give you a plot, tell me what anime are you thinking off.

So, there's the high energy mc, he gets inspired to play this specific sport by whatever means. He isn't the best, but goddamn does he have potential (as noticed by other characters). Then at some point in the beginning, he meets this cool prodigy guy that is just so so soo good at the game—but was kind of ass to the mc. He and mc bickers a lot but they ended up kind of being the best duo. There are also other characters that support the story, like the seniors who are about to graduate.

So.

Are you thinking of Haikyuu?

Don't worry, you're correct. But its just that I'm also referencing 5 other animes with this lol. Maybe I'm not that good at searching, but most newly released sports animes I've watch... kind of follows that formula.

It wasn't even Haikyu that started it, but it most definitely was a big factor that popularized the dynamic.

It kind of just made me appreciate Haikyu for its writing even more. Because, lets admit it, its not the most original shit, but Haikyu just made so many unique and likeable characters that we just love those dumbasses to bits.

Talking about the cool guy prodigy here for a sec. Do you know why people liked Kageyama? Its not cuz he's cool. Well, he is, but mostly because outside of the court he's just a regular kid. We like that stuff. Haikyu gave us that hint of reality outside the sport, which is something I think most other sports anime just don't get.

I missed watching Diamond no Ace, Slam Dunk, Prince of Tennis, Kuroko no Basketball.

Calcium sulphur batteries (uwu)

Okay, so, i've become interested in z-pinch studies for aerospace purposes (i'm really excited about the prospects, everything works on paper, but i naturally want to actually witness p+N14 fusion for above 0.01% of available protons before i go trying to get the materials to build a real liquid fueled SSTO fusion rocket, especially since there are thousands of folks way smarter than me who have presumably thought of this before and we don't have it yet, so yeah). Anyways, if i want the extremely large electricity input without making my electricity bill higher than a whole month's rent and getting my roommates mad at me, i'll need to collect solar or wind in a battery bank. Since lithium batteries are just about all immoral and expensive (yes i am writing this on a device powered by lithium batteries, it would be lovely if capitalists would take a hint and switch to things that just objectively perform better and are cheaper, but whatever), i figured this would be a nice excuse to experiment around with some new battery designs. Since all of them will require sulphur, i won't be able to really get into it before mid may due to some concerns about the smell and risks of getting sulphur powder everywhere (it's very yellow and hard to clean out), but i felt i might as well share my preliminary ideas. First off, in order to make the organic sulphur polymer, i'm looking to explore mostly citrate based polymers, perhaps with phenylalanine mixed in in order to both give more bulk as well as providing nitrogens for sulphenamides to form. Since i'll need urea later, i was also considering partially polymerizing urea with citric acid and adding that into the molten sulphur mix, but i'm less confident in the stability of that and a bit concerned about the potential noxious fumes produced. Regardless, that's the short of the sulphur cathode, details will definitely change after i refind that paper which went over a great way of preventing insoluble polysulphide production. I'm also gonna experiment with anode material and even the ions i use. I know i said "calcium sulphur batteries" in the title, but due to how common aluminium is and how much easier magnesium is to work with (and the fact that their specific energies are higher), i'll also be considering those two. Even beyond that, there are so many potential anode materials, including even amorphous carbon and carbon nitrides which i'd love to test since there's just so much to improve on and i'd rather do a lot of experiments with cheap to make materials and potentially land on a great solution than accept something subpar because it took less effort. Anyways, of the materials i plan on using, there's magnesium sulphate, aluminium sulphate, calcium chloride, potentially other calcium salts (is the salt with taurine soluble in water? IDK, can't find an answer so i'll test it), charcoal, vegetable oil, urea, and phenylalanine. Those may seem like an unrelated hodgepodge of compounds, but they've been chosen because they're what i have/will soon have and they're also all extremely cheap. If the urea works out well in the battery, i may have to make this project a meme and attempt to make a z-pinch device with as much urine as possible (use it to make ammonia for the plasma, to make the batteries, and i'm sure there's some way to use urine in a capacitor (maybe just distilling off the water to use as a dielectric? idk, it's been a while since i tried making a capacitor)).

Anyway, i really didn't expect this long trainwreck of a post to end with discussions of urine, but what can you do? This is all probably nonsensical, even by my standards, but basically i want batteries and i think i can make them cheaper per megajoule of stored energy than the ones i could buy, even accounting for the inevitable failed experiments.

Their name is simply Shield Anon or Shield for short (Shield!Anon if you're feeling spicy I guess).

They're 6'0" exactly.

They're a AAA battery (AroAceAgender) and go by neutral pronouns. They're used to being mistaken for a man due to having a male sounding voice and being on the taller side.

Surprise surprise, they're good with making and using shields of all kinds. They can do some pretty ridiculous things with one too. Not that odd, given that shields are their thing.

They can also make force fields with their magic, tough ones to boot, no M!A required! But they unfortunately tend to forget this...

They have a habit of rambling. It comes out easiest when they're anxious or particularly excited/interested in whatever/whoever they're talking about/to.

They can use swinging weapons along the lines of a crowbar, a staff or even a blade, but they'll most likely use a shield as a weapon instead.

Enjoys talking to new people, but they also sort of. Don't. Nothing to do with them, they just fear putting their foot in their mouth, so to speak. Definitely not projecting here-

Oh my gosh it is so hard to choose just one, of either. So so many talented friends and so so many fics I love. So I don't risk forgetting anyone, I'm just going to rec one of my favorite Fallout fics, one of the first I ever read. I'm not sure if the author is even on tumblr, but it's a Sole Survivor/MacCready fic about returning to the Capital Wasteland to get Duncan that really taught me something about creating compelling original characters: Standing Tall on Your Horizon.

🎲 what stops you from writing more in your free time? 

An ouroboros of work and health-related exhaustion. I have some health issues, physical and mental, that drain my battery fast, and work takes what's left and then exacerbates the health issues with stress, which makes me more tired, and the cycle continues. When I was writing ALITS, I had a different position that took more physical than mental energy. Now I have a position where I'm having to use a ton of mental energy and some of my creative skills, so trying to write on top of that is way more taxing than it used to be. TL;DR: I'm exhausted most of the time. But I'm trying.

🍄 share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings

oh man. I feel like I've shared a lot of my favorites for Deacon/MacCready (like that they both have regional accents that slip out sometimes, or Deacon lets his hair start growing again post-Institute). I'm trying to think of one I haven't shared that I don't have plans to eventually write. Maybe for an ALITS-universe-specific one that By Any Other Name isn't the only time they pretend to be strangers, and Deacon spends a lot of time trying to come up with better and better disguises/characters to surprise MacCready with.

🏜️ what's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

Genuinely, any comment at all is a delight to me, even just a quick "I enjoyed this!" It's still someone that took a couple extra moments to say something nice, which is really lovely and always makes my day. For most favorite, I do really love when people tell me specific quotes or details that stood out to them. It's just really cool to know what things really left an impression, and helps me for the future. It's also exciting to put in a detail and wonder if anyone will notice, then see it really resonate with someone.

🦴 is there a piece of media that inspires your writing?

I draw inspiration from so many places! Music tends to be the heaviest influence. Finding songs that really strike a chord (lol) with the chapter or piece I'm working on goes such a long way. Sometimes it's other fics or stories. I know I've found a really good fic when I get so inspired I have to stop in the middle of reading to write something myself. Like something just sparks and their creativity gets contagious and makes me want to create something.

giant wall of text incoming but it's been on my mind for the longest time now and i had to get it off my chest ksjfsdfgdfg

i feel so insanely tired and overwhelmed lately. istg, ever since i started at my new job earlier this year, i have like... no fucking energy whatsoever whenever a workday is over. like... i'm very happy that i've found a place to work at that takes my 'needs' into account - i'm allowed to take as many small breaks as i want, i can listen to music all day, i get to sit in an office where i don't have to see or talk to anyone, the work that i do requires me to sit by the computer and the task itself very easy, and i only work 5 hours 3 days a week. it's like heaven, and yet i feel so insanely tired whenever i get home.

i haven't had a 'proper' job since 2019 and it really shows. it's fucking hard to get back into a routine like this and still manage to maintain my free time in an efficient way. all i do when i get home is play video games and watch yt, and sometimes take a nap if i'm really really tired. and then i ofc have to maintain my apartment and make sure my cats are taken care of ( although at this point it feels like they are taking care of me by simply being there to keep me company DSKJFHSDJFH ).

it's... a lot, i'm ngl. writing on tumblr hasn't really come to me as easily lately as it used to, not to mention i've really been struggling with keeping in touch with people in general ( although that's not something new ksdjfhsdf i've always struggled with that ) aside from the people i'm closest to, both irl and online.

this blog has always been set to low activity, ever since i first made it over a year ago, and i more or less have only interacted with people that i have an established verse with because it's easier for me to muster up the willpower to sit down and write when i know what it is that i'm replying to - and even then it sometimes take me a while to get to it depending on what it is. and considering i'm not fully caught up with twst yet, replying to already established verses have only been that much more convenient and easy for me to do. this has nothing to do with me not wanting to talk to and interact with new people, believe me, there's nothing that i want more - but given my current situation as a whole, it has just been really really hard for me to prioritize new interactions.

it is not my intention to suddenly go poof while in the middle of a conversation or plotting session - sometimes i just can't bring myself to talk to new people because it requires a lot of my energy because it means that i'm putting myself in a situation where i have to get to know someone new. don't get me wrong, i love meeting new people and getting to know them, it's just that the energy and effort i have to put into it drains my battery way faster than what it would 'normally' do for others. there is only so much i can do in terms of getting better at socializing in general, because i can't control my own battery. what i can do though is to try and getting back to people i've unintentionally left on read without feeling like 'too much time has passed so now i feel awkward talking to them again' or something along those lines. because lord knows feeling insecure about that has been a real issue too sdkjfhsdf and sometimes i even feel scared of showing that i'm online and active on the dash or discord because i don't want people to think that i'm ignoring them or that it's on purpose.

but i know that not everyone has all the patience in the world, and that's totally valid. especially if i vanish for weeks without a word. but i want people to know that if i suddenly go poof for a while and then suddenly appears again to talk to you, it's not because i'm bored and have nothing better to do, or because i want something from you. it's because i needed some time to recharge and think of ways to better formulate my words in my reply to you- especially when i'm talking to new people. it's not a very good first impression, i know, and i don't blame you for thinking the worst of me if i suddenly stop replying and haven't given you an explanation as to why that is. sometimes i try to say something like "i need some time to recharge and think about this and i'll get back to you when i can" just so there won't be any misunderstandings, but sometimes i don't for whatever reason and that's totally on me.

but sometimes people in general simply don't have the patience, or even understands what i go through on a daily basis to even be able to manage things that are otherwise simple and trivial to most people - and i completely understand that. i understand that everyone is different, and i understand that i will not mesh well with everyone and vice versa.

but the reason for this giant wall of text is mostly just that things have been more tough than usual for me lately, and i want to put it out there that it's never my intention to leave you hanging - if we're mutuals, it means that i want to write with you when there is an opening of opportunity for me to do so. but i also want to put it out there that you are of course free to look after yourself too, and if you feel like we aren't going to be compatible writing partners then i will obviously not hold it against you if you no longer want to plot and/or write together - and you are free to softblock me whenever you want.

i have oftentimes been thinking about if indie rp really is for me or not - even though i've done it for a couple of years now, and i've often considered putting it on the shelf all together and just turn to 1x1s and possibly group rps on discord. but i feel like the issue with this is that leaving tumblr rp would take away any chances i have of meeting new people to write with and become friends with, and it would simply just make my social situation worse than what it already is. i know that certain parts of this post makes it sound like i'm leaving or whatever but i promise that i'm not skdjfhsf i just wanted to put my thoughts and feelings out there in the hopes of being better understood and avoiding misunderstandings ( because that is one of the many things i need to get better at ). and if you've made it this far, regardless of what you feel is the best thing for you to do in terms of being mutuals with me, i'm still insanely grateful that you have taken your time to read my post✨

Just a Little Bit

As the seasons begin to change and thoughts of getting outside start to bubble up into our hopes, dreams, and memories it seems appropriate to consider options. Generally when the topic of the Pacific Crest Trail comes up in conversation or reading, or in film it is framed around thru hiking. Beginning to end, start to finish. "Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!" or something like that. Thru hikes are stories mostly full of success. Participants overcome adversity and find their way forward. Thru hikes get the glory it seems.

To day hike on the PCT is easier for some than others mostly given where you live. Living in Kansas for example, you are not going to call your friends up and say, "Hey, how about we day hike from Rainy Pass to Cutthroat Pass this weekend?" or " Let's meet at Kennedy Meadows and do a day hike...what do you say?" The day hike option in the immediate sense is challenging for a lot of us. Less so when people have some time but not a lot of time to do a more challenging or ambitious undertaking like in the summer months.

I met a fellow once who was driving to PCT trailheads on the weekends and day hiking out and back to his car. He didn't have the luxury to take extended time off of work and other responsibilities so this worked for him. To be honest the PCT is not exactly easy to move from trail head to trail head everywhere. He happened to live where it was more possible.

In my case I can easily consider various day hikes on the PCT from where I live. They might be longish days or require sleeping in my vehicle or a nearby accommodation but still doable. If you are dreaming of a PCT experience here is your opportunity to get a taste.

Jack Haskel at the PCTA wrote a really honest and informative essay in the organizations magazine 'The Communicator' last spring. He writes," The decision around what to pack for a day hike also became easier when I stopped overthinking it. I embraced the 10 essentials, added a couple of extras, and now all the necessary items live in my day pack permanently." Here's the list:

Navigation- paper maps and/or phone app maps

Headlamp-sometimes the best laid plans just take longer than your think.

Sun protection

First aid- maybe not for you but for someone else...

Knife plus gear repair kit

Fire (matches, lighter, tinder and/or stove)

Shelter (ultralight mylar emergency shelter that fits two people)

Extra food

Extra water

Extra clothes

In addition tell someone where you are going and when you plan to get back. This is critically important for staying safe. Jack also carries a knife, compass, energy bar, and some spare batteries. His view, and I agree, better to be safe than sorry.

If you don't have the time, energy, desire, opportunity, or some other good reason for a lengthy PCT hike consider a day hike. Just walking a short distance with friends on the PCT has been rewarding for them as much as it has been for me. They got a taste of what my experience was and it sprouted some great conversations and experiences of their own. These experiences bring up so many memories flooding my brain from past hikes when I have done this.

I wanted to address a few asks that have been cropping up recently, and also open the doors a little bit to what's going on behind the scenes here at the blog. I know there's a good handful of you who actively watch for updates from us, even for asks that aren't yours, and there are even more of you who are patiently waiting (which we so greatly appreciate, I would hug all of you if I could) for responses to said asks. This post is long overdue, but it's important, so I'm sitting my ass down and getting to work with it. Let's get into it.

No cut because, like I said, this is important and needs addressing.

"Where are my asks?"/"Why hasn't X been responded to/posted yet?"/VERBATIM asks.

The above is a very shitty logline of what I'm getting at, but I think the point is clear. As Meu has said before, we do not do inbox checks. Those are nonsense. We are not a corporation with deadlines. All of our time, resources, and effort are voluntarily given here. Asking us to see if X post is still in the box or just to give a rundown of what asks we have is ridiculous. If you're so worried about a timeframe for something to be answered, I cannot stress enough that this is not the place for you. I understand Tumblr has a horrible habit of eating asks as well. However, there has been a seemingly recent (to us moderators) influx of "Did my ask for Y get eaten?" to the point where it's become a problem.

As I am writing this, Tumblr (assuming it hasn't glitched out) is showing 49 asks in our inbox. Not including ones that have been drafted (mostly by me, because my energy for these things is extremely touch and go, coupled with my own real-life responsibilities; don't grow up kids, it sucks). However, most of these are asks that a lot of us cover. We just do not have the time/energy/[insert reason applicable to whichever moderator] to do them. Some of these are ones that only one or two moderators do as well, which means the odds are it'll take even longer to get to them. The more "niche" (i.e. the fewer mods that do the particular ask type) there are, the longer it takes for those ones to get pushed out. Please note that I am not saying that this is a reason not to send these asks-- This is just me explaining why it may take so long.

As outlined before, a lot of us also have jobs and other life dilemmas that of course take larger priority over this blog. I can't speak for the other moderators on this blog, but I work 40 hours a week right now at a coffee shop. I'm trying to get promoted to management by the end of the year, which entails a whole lot of back work, even on my off time. What other off time I have goes to doing chores/daily living things. Any extra off time goes to not doing those things, and this blog is one of those-- to an extent. This blog is something I would classify as socializing, for me, personally. Socializing drains my battery, but I enjoy doing it. Most people do. However, opening the box to see more people wondering where their things are is... It's gotten frustrating. It makes me not want to do these requests.

"So why not leave the blog then?"

Because, like the others, I enjoy doing these requests. They're fun. I have fun. I love interacting with you guys. The overbearing demand is just becoming a bit much. It's also not fair to just dump the load onto the others because I just want to call it quits; they're as busy as I am with other things, and I can't speak for them.

In essence though, the TLDR is that this is volunteer work at the end of the day. We'll get to asks when we get to them. It may take a long time, and if that's a problem?

how much ahead do you write for TRT? would you recommend writing as you go or finishing a few chapters (or even the whole thing!) before posting

So me personally, I don't write ahead, but I do outline ahead! I've got everything charted out, what needs to happen, how the arcs need to unroll, clues to leave, etc. This is what allows me to write the chapter every week - in my natural environment, I'm a pantser and I tend to wing it (which works fine for a one-shot but less so for an epically long fic like TRT). I'm also an extrovert - I need external feedback or, at the very least, some form of interaction to feed my creative drive. If I don't have that, if I wait to post a chapter until I'm done with everything, I'll essentially run out of energy and coast to a stop. By posting a chapter each week that I've written, I get that feedback and can keep going! There are flaws to my method - sometimes it's impossible to tell how a chapter's going to go until you write it, or you suddenly get a good idea about some event that should, in reality, have caused clues and foreshadowing to appear three chapters ago. But that's where the outline comes in! It gives you a north star to drive towards even if you choose to take a side road on the way there.

But note that this is me. Most of the other writers I know are introverts and can write just fine by being left alone with their own internal feedback for encouragement, and I also have a few friends who absolutely hate the idea of writing like I do. They absolutely need to have it all done before posting, and the sheer chaos of writing a new chapter into existence every week isn't something they'd enjoy, just like I'd hate being confined to their method. So everyone's different. I'd say the low-risk, high-patience, safest option is having it all written ahead of time, if you're introverted enough or can charge your own battery. The high-risk, high-reward option is writing as you go, favored by those who need to interact in order to create. And the neutral ground is getting ahead by three or four chapters before beginning to post, finding a safe middle balance between the two. So the real question is, which would work best for you? Do you have the patience and inner drive to get it all done first? Do you need interaction to keep yourself going (hi it's me)? Do you land somewhere in the middle? I will say, my writing absolutely suffered when I tried, desperately, to be what I wasn't. People will tell you to write for yourself, to get it all done before posting because it should be for you anyway, and while that works for a lot of fic writers, for some of us, writing in isolation for only ourselves is where our creativity goes to die. I think figuring out where your creativity graveyard is, and going in the opposite direction, is a huge benefit to you once you figure it out, even if you need to experiment a little to figure it out.

Also YESSS I'm so happy to hear from a Hind! I always love hearing about people with the same name. It also strikes me as funny because I never actually meant to name her Jane Hind. It was originally just a placeholder I used while writing and in notes, a joke about a Jane Doe reader insert, the one we can't trace back, and only after I'd used it long enough in notes and the first chapter that I went... 'actually this kinda works, because she is a Jane Doe, with a real name I can't ever use'. And admittedly it would make me pretty happy too to see my own name for a ship like this LOL.

You HAD to get this thing done. No matter how many cups of caffeine or energy drinks, you had to get it done. It's 3 a.m, you were laser focused on your project or whatever you were working on. Before you could start on the next paragraph, you were halted by something tightly grasping your shoulder; you heard a raspy masculine voice coming from right behind you.

"Pullin' anotha all-nighter, are we?"

You turn your head slowly in fear, it was Nitty-gritty. He's gotten used to you doing these things at this point, but thinks that the all-nighters you keep pulling on are getting dangerous, and they are for your health.

"Listen, I know ya wanna keep goin' on dis project, but ya gotta sleep. Dis is gettin' dangerous. Not just for you, but for ya own health."

You tell him that you're fine, that you don't need sleep. He gives you a stern look and closes your laptop. Thankfully, your progress was automatically saved.

"C'mon. Yeah ya do. Ya don't get enough sleep, probably gonna end up in th' hospital or somethin' worse."

Despite how much you wanted to continue, he was right. Sleep is important after all. You reach your hands out and ask for your laptop back, nitty holds it a bit higher above your head.

"Nnnnnope. 'S already on 20% battery. You can get it back in th' mornin', but for now, ya need sleep, and lots of it, too."

You cross your arms and pout. But you know very well it's not going to work on him.

"Ah, c'mon. Don't give me Dat look. Y'know I'm right. Ya need sleep."

You turn your head to the side, he knows if he can't convince you, he'll have to do it with FORCE, he does hate doing that with you, but it seems he doesn't have a choice.

*sigh* " 'Kay. Y'asked for it. C'mere."

You quickly turn your head back to see that he grasped your arm, he pulls you closer, wrapping his arm around your torso, lifting you up to his waist, your laptop is in his other hand, he escorts you to his bedroom. You start struggling against his hold, despite how tight he was gripping onto you. You tried to push yourself free, begging him to let go.

"Nope. Dis is what happens when ya force me t' use force. Ya gonna sleep, wether ya like it or not."

He opens the bedroom door, plugging in your laptop to the charger on the desk. He then gets a soft, puffy blanket out of his wardrobe a lays it on the bed. He finally released you only to place you in the middle of the blanket, he swaddles you into a blanket cocoon, too tight for you to struggle out of. He turns off the light and climbs into bed, pulling you into his arms while doing so. Tucking you in, snuggling you. He whispered into your ear, giving you a chill down your spine.

"You'll thank me later."

It was creepy to say the least, usually you would bunk with his younger brother, Julian. Julie loved to cuddle with you. It would knock him out very easily, too. But now? You're stuck with his intimidating older brother that he cares for. It felt nice, sure. Considering how warm he was, but you had to escape and continue your work. You start struggling as hard as you can. Nitty subconsciously grips you tighter and begins caressing circles onto your back, stopping you. You felt your eyelids getting heavier, you think about what Nitty had said earlier, pulling too many all-nighters is dangerous for you and your body. For once, you understand what he told you and dose off. Snuggling deeper into his hold. Nitty squints his eye open to see you sound asleep. He lets out a small smile and plants a small kiss onto your forehead and falls asleep again.

TTTT Questions

Baxter is mentioned once in the game: For the love of Baxter, similarly to the phrase For the love of God. Think of Baxter as a Generic Fantasy Deity TM. I did not put more thought into this, just took a random name.

Unsure. Maybe? Probably. He was supposed to be THE Adventurer in the first version (like that story was my draft of last year), before I re-wrote each of these 5 recurrent NPC's storyline (and didn't have time to include it.

Wizards love cheeses. Roscoe has a lot of great cheeses.

Roscoe and Ezabell have yet to compete in their liquor consumption. None will try to consume alcohol for quantity's sake. Roscoe would probably hold strong/distilled drinks better, Ez would for cocktails (especially sweet ones).

Dunno who's the best dancer/singer. Come back when I've added more story bits.

Brom's Family life is chaotic: tired adults running behind energetic toddlers and taking care of old parents.

The magic mixer is needed because I said so :P (just to give a reason for the colour of the liquid changing every time you add/remove an ingredient.

If there was ever a time TTTT was in financial trouble, someone else would come and take the reins before it would go under. Same thing is the owner retires.

Nora and Roscoe have a thing, and they behave like teenagers about it (her request). The only reason Astrid is not the leader of her group (she is more than capable to be that) is so she can blame Bernard for anything that goes wrong.

Ez barged into the bar and pretended to be the waitress for a full day (because [REDACTED], raised hell during pay-time when Roscoe realised she was not an employee (he was out all day) but also that she made a hella ton of profit. Filessandro is not an employee of the tavern, he was supposed to have his own story to explain that. MC's story is dependant on the background you choose... and will be explained further in a future update.

ME Questions

My motivation for creating is easy: it's fun. I get to solve some coding/writing puzzle and tell stories I like/want to. Continue to work on a project is difficult. I've done the dumb thing of creating hella long things and taking breaks from it (losing steam on it). But my drive to finish my projects (to continue working), not wanting to put out bad writing (after reading a draft), and seeing people enjoy my stuff is more motivating than I thought.

I am exhausted all the time (that's 80% a lie) I create guides/tutorials because I like helping people, and if my stuff helps other not struggle with stuff I have, then I'm happy. The trick with tutorials is: make it simple and explain clearly.

Insert that Arrested Development meme about loving my children equally. All NPCs are fun and become my favourite when I write them. It changes per scene...

Same answer about genre. Don't really have one. Not really fond of horror (that's MelS wheelhouse) or romance (but that's because I need to combat my second hand embarrassment).

When the coding becomes stale, I miss writing. When writing is a bore, I want to code. Maybe I might prefer coding over writing, because the proofreading of coding is more fun than writing, and because it has rules (unlike creative writing). Editing/Proofreading is meh to I wish I was dead.
