Sometimes I find myself thinking "what if some of my ocs weren't Dragonborn/Hero of Kvatch?" and admittedly I do want to write that for some of them...
#like Elyse would've stuck around at the college of winterhold rather than dropping out as dragons became more of a problem#and she'd become archmage after a few years and would make it her daily business to argue with jarl korir about mages being good + importan#and tolfdir would be like 'archmage no' but elyse would be like 'archmage yes'#i don't think there would be much different for thea bc her goal was to join the companions anyway#siriane would never have set foot anywhere near Markarth. she'll have ended up in solitude for the easy life#poor aelia probably would've served her sentence in the Imperial city prison for petty theft and eventually spiral downhill#until she either a) became a beggar under the gray fox's protection or b) joined the thieves guild#in the end she still becomes sheo but not because of her devolving madness over grief for martin bc they never met#but rather because of her shit hand in life being enough to make her lose her mind at just how disastrous it became over stealing some mone#Maewynne would've joined the dark brotherhood and hit things off with gabriella#and it ended up being some other newbie who ended up as listener#and both Maewynne and gabriella would've been fighting together when the sanctuary burned but maewynne would barely just survive#but that also means that maewynne probably never meets brynjolf :(
