it just works.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the central theme of a prince of heart is someone who either destroys emotion and one's sense of self, or destroys through emotion and one's sense of self.
Tumblr media
the scoundrel's core narrative theme? identity destruction. self destruction. having such an unrelenting need to throw away everything that it literally ruins them both inside and out.
they even have a tendency to splinter! to create doppelgangers! to literally shatter their identity into a thousand tiny pieces!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
look at their reflection. the tracklayer's city. the false yearner. self destruction, and thus self replication, is practically all they know how to do. and it's all they want to do. they've convinced themself they need it, and they need this, and they don't need anything else. not feelings, not friends, not family, not love, not identity- nothing, but this. nothing but the thing that will make them happy.
and yet, at the end of it all-

Charles
The drive to the mall was filled with easy conversation and laughter. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm orange glow over the city as you and Charles made your way through the bustling streets. Charles had one hand on the steering wheel, the other resting on your thigh, a comfortable silence settling between the two of you.
You had planned this trip to Sephora for weeks now, eager to replenish your makeup supplies and maybe splurge on some new products. Charles had tagged along, promising to help you pick out new shades and scents, even though you knew he was more excited about the ice cream shop next door.
As you pulled into the parking lot, you felt a mischievous idea brewing in your mind. You wanted to test Charles' patience and see how he would react to a sudden, nonsensical argument. You knew it was silly, but something about the idea made you giggle internally.
Charles parked the car, and you both unbuckled your seat belts. Just as he was about to open his door, you decided to strike.
"Why do you always do that?" you snapped, turning to him with an exaggerated huff.
Charles froze, his hand still on the door handle. "Do what?" he asked, clearly puzzled by your sudden change in tone.
"You know what you did," you said, crossing your arms and glaring at him.
Charles blinked, completely taken aback. "I honestly have no idea what you're talking about, Y/N. Can you please explain?"
You let out an exasperated sigh, rolling your eyes dramatically. "Every single time we go somewhere, you always do this! It's like you don't even care!"
Charles' brow furrowed, confusion written all over his face. "What did I do? I parked the car! What's wrong with that?"
"Never mind," you said, shaking your head and opening your door. "Just forget it, Charles. I'm going to Sephora."
Before he could respond, you slammed the car door shut with a loud bang, making sure to give it an extra push for emphasis. You could see his bewildered expression through the window as you stormed off toward the mall entrance.
Charles sat in the car for a moment, trying to process what had just happened. His initial confusion slowly turned into a mix of frustration and concern. Had he really done something to upset you? He replayed the last few minutes in his mind, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
With a deep sigh, he got out of the car and locked it, jogging slightly to catch up with you. He found you standing in front of Sephora, arms still crossed and a pout on your lips.
"Y/N, wait," he called out, his voice a mix of irritation and worry. "Can we please talk about this?"
You turned to him, your expression softening just a fraction. "What's there to talk about, Charles? You always do this."
"Do what?" he asked, genuinely perplexed. "I really don't understand."
You bit your lip, trying to suppress a smile. "You always park too close to the other cars. It makes it hard for me to get out."
Charles' eyes widened in realization, and he let out a relieved laugh. "That's what this is about? Y/N, I'm so sorry. I didn't even think about that. I'll be more careful next time, I promise."
You felt a pang of guilt for making him worry, but the sight of his relieved smile made it worth it. You uncrossed your arms and took a step closer to him.
"Okay, fine," you said, your voice softening. "I forgive you. But you better not do it again."
Charles reached out and pulled you into a hug, his arms wrapping around you tightly. "I promise, I won't," he said, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. "Now, let's go get your makeup."
You smiled against his chest, feeling the warmth of his embrace. "And ice cream?"
"And ice cream," he agreed, pulling back to look at you with a grin. "Anything for you."
"Charles," you said, lifting your head up from his chest. "I have to confess something."
Charles looked at you with curiosity. "What is it, love?"
You took a deep breath, feeling a mix of guilt and amusement. "I wasn’t really mad at you... it was a joke. I wanted to see how you'd react."
Charles blinked in surprise, then let out a chuckle. "You little troublemaker," he said, wrapping an arm around your waist. "You had me worried there for a moment."
"I'm sorry," you said, standing on your tiptoes to give him a quick kiss. "I didn't mean to mess with your feelings. To make it up to you, how about I spoil you with whatever you want from the ice cream shop?"
Charles grinned, his eyes lighting up. "I think I can forgive you for that. As long as I get to pick the flavors."
"Deal," you said, smiling up at him. "And I'll throw in a foot massage later, too."
"Now you're talking," Charles said, giving you a playful squeeze. "Just don't make a habit of these fake arguments, alright?"
"I promise," you said, kissing him again. "No more fake arguments. Just lots of love and ice cream."
Charles laughed, pulling you close. "That's all I need."
Lewis
The sun was shining brightly as you and Lewis drove to your favorite ice cream shop. The plan was to enjoy a treat and then stroll through the nearby park. Lewis had been looking forward to this all week, a rare weekend off from the rigorous F1 schedule.
As you approached the shop, an idea formed in your mind. You decided to playfully test Lewis with a fake argument, curious to see his reaction.
Lewis parked the car smoothly, and you both unbuckled your seat belts. Just as he reached for the door handle, you pounced.
"Why do you always do that?" you asked, your tone sharp and accusing.
Lewis turned to you, his eyebrows raised in surprise. "Do what, babe?"
"Every time we go somewhere, you always find a way to make it about you," you said, crossing your arms and glaring at him.
Lewis looked genuinely puzzled. "What are you talking about, Y/N? We're getting ice cream. How is this about me?"
You sighed dramatically. "You always pick the spot to park without asking me if it's okay. It's like you don't even care about my opinion."
Lewis blinked, trying to process your sudden outburst. "I… I'm sorry, I didn't realize that bothered you. I just thought it was a good spot."
"Never mind," you said, shaking your head and opening your door. "I'm going inside."
You got out of the car and slammed the door behind you, glancing back to see Lewis sitting in stunned silence. You felt a pang of guilt but continued walking toward the ice cream shop.
Lewis quickly recovered and followed you inside, his expression a mix of confusion and concern. He caught up to you as you reached the counter.
"Y/N, wait," he said softly, touching your arm. "I'm really sorry if I upset you. I didn't mean to."
You turned to him, your annoyance melting away at the sight of his sincere eyes. "It's just… sometimes I feel like you don't consider my opinions."
Lewis nodded, his face serious. "I understand. I promise I'll be more mindful in the future. I never want you to feel like I don't care."
You smiled, feeling a rush of affection for him. "Okay, I forgive you. Now, let's get some ice cream."
Lewis grinned, pulling you into a quick hug. "Thank you. And I'll let you pick the spot next time."
As you ordered your ice cream and found a cozy spot to sit, you couldn't help but feel a bit guilty for starting the argument. But Lewis' genuine concern and quick apology made you appreciate him even more.
After a few bites of your ice cream, you decided it was time to come clean. "Lewis," you began, looking up at him with a sheepish smile.
"Yes, love?" he replied, his eyes filled with curiosity.
"I have a confession to make," you said, feeling a bit nervous. "That argument just now… it was a joke. I was bored and I just wanted to see how you'd react."
Lewis stared at you for a moment, then burst into laughter. "You really had me there, Y/N! I was so worried I did something wrong."
"I'm sorry," you said, reaching out to hold his hand. "I didn't mean to mess with your feelings. To make it up to you, how about I get you that perfume you wanted from Dior?”
Lewis' eyes sparkled with amusement and affection. "You don't have to spoil me, love. But I'll take you up on that offer. And maybe a massage later?"
"Absolutely," you said, leaning in to kiss him softly. "Anything for you."
Max
The drive to the mall was filled with excitement. Max had promised to help you pick out a new pair of sneakers, and you were looking forward to spending the day together. As you approached the mall, you decided to prank Max. Max parked the car, and you both unbuckled your seat belts. As he reached for his phone to check the time, you decided to that’s was your “issue”.
"Why do you always do that?" you asked, your tone sharp and accusing.
Max looked up at you, clearly puzzled. "Do what?"
"You always check your phone right when we arrive somewhere," you said, crossing your arms. "It's like you're more interested in your phone than spending time with me."
Max blinked, taken aback. "I was just checking the time, Y/N. I didn't mean anything by it."
"It feels like you're always distracted," you continued, pretending to be upset. "Like I have to compete for your attention."
Max's expression softened with concern. "I'm sorry if it feels that way. I promise I'm here with you, 100%. I just wanted to make sure we weren't late."
"Never mind," you said, opening your door. "I'm going inside."
You slammed the car door behind you and walked toward the mall entrance, leaving Max sitting there, clearly confused and worried. You glanced back to see him frowning, running a hand through his hair.
Max quickly got out of the car and caught up with you. "Y/N, wait. Did I really do something wrong?"
You turned to him, trying to keep a straight face. "It's just frustrating when it feels like I'm not your priority."
Max sighed deeply, his eyes full of regret. "I'm so sorry. I'll make sure to put my phone away and focus on us. I never want you to feel like you're second to anything."
You felt a wave of guilt but maintained your act. "Okay, fine. Just don't let it happen again."
Max nodded earnestly. "I promise. Let's go find those sneakers."
As you both wandered through the mall, Max was extra attentive, making sure to engage in conversation and keep his phone tucked away. You started to feel bad for starting the fake argument but were also touched by his efforts.
As soon as you neared the sneaker store, you decided it was time to come clean. "Max," you said, looking at him with a small smile.
"Yeah?" he replied, his eyes full of concern.
"I need to tell you something," you said, feeling a bit nervous. "I was just messing with you earlier, I was never mad at you for checking your phone. I just wanted to prank you and see how you'd react."
Max stared at you for a moment before chuckling softly. "I was so worried I did something to upset you. You really had me there, baby."
"I'm sorry," you said, reaching out to hold his hand. "I didn't mean to mess with your feelings. To make it up to you, how about I buy you anything you want from the next store?"
Max's eyes lit up with amusement. "You don't have to, but I won't say no to that offer."
"And I'll bake you your favorite cookies later," you added, leaning in to kiss him softly. "Anything to make it up to you."
Max grinned, pulling you into a hug. "Sounds like a perfect evening to me baby."
Lando
The drive to the electronics store was filled with excitement. Lando had been talking about getting a pc setup and you were looking forward to helping him pick one out. As you pulled into the parking lot, you decided to play a little prank on Lando.
Lando parked the car, and you both unbuckled your seat belts. Just as he was about to step out, you struck.
"Why do you always do that?" you asked, your tone sharp and accusing.
Lando turned to you, genuinely confused. "Do what?"
"You always take forever to decide on things," you said, crossing your arms. "It's like you can't make up your mind about anything."
Lando blinked, clearly taken aback. "I just like to weigh my options. What's wrong with that?"
"It feels like you're wasting time," you said, pretending to be annoyed. "Like you don't care about getting things done quickly."
Lando's expression shifted from confusion to concern. "I'm sorry if it bothers you. I just want to make sure we make the right choice."
"Never mind," you said, opening your door. "I'm going inside."
You slammed the car door behind you and walked toward the store, leaving Lando sitting there, clearly puzzled and a bit hurt. You glanced back to see him frowning, trying to figure out what just happened.
Lando quickly got out of the car and caught up with you. "Y/N, wait, what are you so mad? I don’t understand. Did I really do something wrong?"
You turned to him, trying to keep a straight face. "It's just frustrating when it feels like you can't make a decision."
Lando sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I didn't realize it was an issue. I'll try to be quicker next time, I promise."
You felt a pang of guilt but maintained your act. "Okay, fine. Just don't let it happen again."
Lando nodded earnestly. "I promise. Let's go."
As you both wandered through the store, you decided it was time to come clean. "Lando," you said, looking at him with a small smile.
"Yeah?" he replied, his eyes full of concern.
"I need to tell you something," you said, feeling a bit nervous. "I’m not mad that you take time to weigh out your options. It’s one of the things I love about you! I was just bored and decided to play a prank on you."
Lando stared at you for a moment before bursting out laughing. "Y/N….you had me so worried. I was like “What the fuck?! Why is she mad?!’ I was so worried I did something to upset you, I was about to take you to Marc Jacobs to get you that purse and perfume you wanted."
"I'm sorry," you said, reaching out to hold his hand. "I didn't mean to mess with your feelings. To make it up to you, how about I buy you with anything you want from a store of your choosing?"
Lando's eyes lit up with amusement. "You don't have to, but I won't say no to that offer."
"And I'll give you a special massage later," you added, leaning in to kiss him softly on his neck.
Lando grinned, pulling you into a hug. "How about we go home now for that massage hmm."
"Nope, we have to get our things first! And then we can go home." you said, smiling at him and winking.
Carlos
The drive to the new restaurant you both had been eager to try was filled with excitement. Carlos had been talking about the place for weeks, and you were looking forward to a nice dinner together. As you pulled into the parking lot, you decided to test Carlos's patience with a fake argument.
Carlos parked the car, and you both unbuckled your seat belts. Just as he reached for his wallet, you struck.
"Why do you always do that?" you asked, your tone sharp and accusing.
Carlos turned to you, genuinely puzzled. "Do what?"
"You always insist on paying for everything," you said, crossing your arms. "It's like you don't think I can take care of myself."
Carlos blinked, clearly taken aback. "I just want to treat you. What's wrong with that?"
"It feels like you're undermining my independence," you continued, pretending to be upset. "Like you don't think I can contribute."
Carlos's expression shifted from confusion to mild annoyance. "Y/N, this is ridiculous. I'm just trying to help."
You opened your mouth to continue, but Carlos cut you off. He leaned over, his hand gripping your neck gently but firmly, pulling you close. His eyes bore into yours with a mix of authority and affection.
"I don't want to hear that nonsense," he said, his voice low and commanding. "I pay for everything and will always pay for everything. You're my girl, and I love to spoil you and buy you whatever you want. Complain all you want, but nothing is changing. Anything that has a price on it, I buy it. Not you. End of discussion."
Before you could respond, Carlos pressed his lips against yours in a rough, passionate kiss that left you breathless. When he pulled back, he released your neck and stepped out of the car, leaving you stunned. A moment later, he came around to your side, opened the door, and helped you out, his hand gently guiding you.
You were still silent as you walked towards the restaurant, your mind racing from the intensity of the moment. Finally, you found your voice. "That was hot... really, really hot…and sexy. I think…I wet myself a little bit."
Carlos laughed, his eyes twinkling with amusement. He leaned down and kissed your forehead. "Good to know," he whispered in your ear, his hand giving your ass a playful slap. "Just wait until later, baby. I'll show you more of what you like."
Oscar
The drive to the new amusement park was filled with excitement. Oscar had been talking about going on the latest roller coasters for weeks, and you were looking forward to a fun-filled day together. As you pulled into the parking lot, you decided to play a little prank on Oscar to see how he would react.
Oscar parked the car, and you both unbuckled your seat belts. Just as he reached for his backpack, you struck.
“Why do you always do that?” you asked, your tone sharp and accusing.
Oscar looked up at you, genuinely confused. “Do what?”
“You always decide which rides we go on first,” you said, crossing your arms. “It’s like you don’t think I can pick something fun.”
Oscar blinked, clearly taken aback. “I just thought you liked the same rides as me. What’s wrong with that?”
“It feels like you don’t trust my choices,” you continued, pretending to be upset. “Like my voice doesn't matter.”
Oscar’s expression shifted from confusion to concern. “I didn’t realize you felt that way. I’m sorry if it seemed like I was ignoring your feelings baby.”
“Well, it does,” you said, opening your door. “Maybe you should think about that.”
Oscar quickly got out of the car and came around to your side, gently grabbing your arm to stop you. “Y/N, wait. I really didn’t mean to upset you. Can we talk about this?”
You turned to him, trying to keep a straight face but starting to feel bad about the prank. “Oscar, it’s just frustrating when it feels like you don’t consider my choices.”
Oscar sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I had no idea you felt this way. From now on, we’ll make all the decisions together. I promise.”
You couldn’t keep up the act any longer and burst into laughter. “Oscar, I’m so sorry baby. It was just a prank. I wanted to see how you’d react.”
Oscar stared at you for a moment before chuckling softly. “You really had me there, Y/N. I was so scared that I really messed up.”
“I’m sorry,” you said, reaching out to hold his hand. I didn’t mean to mess with your feelings. I just wanted to see what you’d do.”
Oscar grinned, pulling you into a hug. “Well, you got me good. But next time, maybe pick a less heart-stopping prank, okay?”
You laughed, feeling relieved that he wasn’t mad. “Deal. Now, let’s go enjoy the carnival?”
Oscar nodded, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Absolutely. And you can choose the first ride.”
“We are definitely doing the Kingda Ka roller coaster first.” you said with a smile on your face.
As you walked towards the entrance of the amusement park, you knew the day was going to be filled with laughter, thrills, and unforgettable moments.
Sebastian
The drive to the new bookstore was filled with excitement. Sebastian had been talking about a new release he was eager to get his hands on, and you were looking forward to spending some quiet time browsing the shelves together. As you pulled into the parking lot, you decided to test his patience with a fake argument.
Seb parked the car, and you both unbuckled your seat belts. Just as he reached for his reusable shopping bag, you struck.
“Why do you always do that?” you asked, your tone sharp and accusing.
Seb looked up at you, genuinely puzzled. “Do what?”
“You always insist on carrying everything,” you said, crossing your arms. “It’s like you don’t think I’m strong enough to help.”
Seb blinked, clearly taken aback. “I just want to make it easier for you. What’s wrong with that?”
“It feels like you don’t think I can handle it,” you continued, pretending to be upset. “Like you don’t trust me to carry my weight.”
Seb’s expression shifted from confusion to mild annoyance. “Y/N, this is ridiculous. I’m just trying to help.”
You opened your mouth to continue, but Seb interrupted you. “Enough, baby. Arguing about this is pointless. I’m going to carry the bags because I want to. And I like taking care of you. Deal with it.”
Before you could respond, Sebastian grabbed your hair gently but firmly and pulled you into a rough kiss. His lips pressed against yours with an intensity that made your heart race. When he finally pulled back, he looked into your eyes with a mixture of authority and affection.
“Understand?” he asked softly.
You nodded, still a bit breathless. “Yes, sir.”
Sebastian smiled and released his hold on your hair, his eyes softening. “Good. Now, let’s go find that book.”
Jenson
The drive to the local farmer’s market was filled with anticipation. Jenson had been excited to pick out fresh ingredients for dinner, and you were looking forward to spending a relaxing afternoon together. As you pulled into the parking lot, you decided to test his patience with a fake argument.
Jenson parked the car, and you both unbuckled your seat belts. Just as he reached for his shopping list, you struck.
“Why do you always do that?” you asked, your tone sharp and accusing.
Jenson looked up at you, genuinely puzzled. “Do what?”
“You always decide what we’re having for dinner and pick out all the ingredients,” you said, crossing your arms. “It’s like you don’t think I can handle it or make a decision.”
Jenson blinked, clearly taken aback. “I just want to make sure we have a great meal. What’s wrong with that?”
“It feels like you don’t trust my cooking skills,” you continued, pretending to be upset. “Like my preferences don’t matter.”
Jenson’s expression shifted from confusion to mild annoyance. “Y/N, this is ridiculous. I’m just trying to make sure tonight’s meal is special.”
You opened your mouth to continue, but Jenson interrupted you. He leaned over, his hand gripping your neck gently but firmly, pulling you close. His eyes bore into yours with a mix of authority and affection.
“I don’t want to hear that nonsense,” he said, his voice low and commanding. “I pick the ingredients and plan the meals because I enjoy doing it for us. Plus, this argument is stupid because you cooked dinner for us two days ago.”
Before you could respond, Jenson pressed his lips against yours in a rough, passionate kiss that left you breathless. When he pulled back, he released your neck and stepped out of the car, leaving you stunned. A moment later, he came around to your side, opened the door, and helped you out, his hand gently guiding you.
As you walked toward the market, you found your voice. “I didn’t expect that reaction. It lowkey turned me on.”
Jenson turned to you with a smirk on his face, “Lowkey?”
“Okay, yes that definitely turned me on.” you said, turning away shyly.
Jenson chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Well, I guess I really know how to handle you then.”
You smiled, feeling butterflies in your stomach. “It was just a prank, but if that’s how you’re going to react, I definitely have to pull some more.”
Jenson laughed, shaking his head. “Oh, you don’t need to, baby. You get me like this just by being yourself.”
You grinned, feeling a warmth spread through you. “Are you sure we need to cook dinner? I’m sure we can just go home now and do something very, very important first. We can order some takeout after.”
Jenson smirked, his eyes darkening with desire. “As much as I would love that, we are cooking this meal. But after we’re done, we will definitely do that something.”
He winked at you, making your heart race with anticipation.

TF One w/ Fallen! Reader
------------------
A/n : This chapter is a review, I will continue it if it does well. This concept of Fallen! Reader's characteristics are based on my favourite character in CRK, Shadow Milk Cookie .
Reader is Gender Neutral
------------------
The moment Sentinel brings down his sword into Alpha Trion chasis, he unknowingly releases an entity from its imprisonment that is far much greater than the Quintesson.
------------------
Orion Pax, or now known as Optimus Prime is fighting against his former friend D-16 who is now known as Megatron. The High Guards, Starscream, Shockwave and Soundwave enter the fight in order to bring the new prime down to his knees.
It was 4 against 1, it was unfair but this doesn't falter Optimus and he is able to fight back against them without breaking a sweat.
Then, all of a sudden. There is a tremor and a rumbling sound echoes throughout Cybertron causing everyone to panic. Optimus tosses Soundwave to the side, in the corner of his optics he sees a crack forming— in the air...
This sudden change in the air causes everyone to stop.
B-127 look at the sight, "Oh, the sky breaking" the yellow bot pauses before coming into realization and hold his helm. "The sky is breaking?!" he screech.
"What is this? Are my eyes toying with me~?" a voice echoes through the gaps of the crack. The voice gasps, "I don't believe it! The chains that have bound me for millions of years—" it said with a mischievous tone.
The crack becomes larger and a large figure pops their head out.
"—are now....... GONE!" they grin widely. "Hahahahahaha! How wonderful!" they cackled.
Optimus eyes widen at the sight of the newcomer, the matrix of leadership within his chassis begins to pulse as if to warn him about the danger. Megatron rises up from his pedes and looks up at the strange figure.
"Awh, how I miss the smell of fresh air! It feels so DIVINE!" they grin. "Oh? What do we have here?" their (e/c) optics looks down on the small cybertronians before them. "Oh no! It seems I got myself a really large audience!" they said, "Oh I am so so very sorry to keep all of you waiting~!"
"BUT—worry not my little cybers! The wait is OVER! Your favourite one of the fourteen is here!"
.
.
.
"(Y/N) PRIME!" they introduced themselves.
.
.
.
.
"Who?" B-127 question, tilting his head to the side. A dramatic gasp escape from them. "You don't know who I am? Ouch! right in the spark—!" they said, putting a servo over their spark.
"A Prime...?" Optimus is confused. He never heard about another prime other than the Thirteen, he had gone through every archive but none of it ever speaks about them.
"Hey, um. Not to be rude, but we never heard of you before. I thought there supposed to be Thirteen?"
"Thirteen? THIRTEEN?!" (Y/n) said, with anger and disappointment lace in their voice. "Oh, I see. It seems my fellow primes didn't tell you about MY existence!" they said. "How rude of them! To wipe someone so dazzling 💅✨ and so amazing like ME from face of history 😡!" they pouts.
Then, their eyes fall on Optimus. They pause, "Look what we have here? It seems that the Matrix of Leadership has chosen its next victim!" they said, eyes glaring down at the matrix within Optimus chassis. Optimus felt slightly uncomfortable from their gaze, a gaze that fills with hatred and—
What do they mean by victim?
"Who are you?" Megatron hiss, the bot didn't like what he was witnessing. First it was Sentinel, then Orion and now THEM? Just how many primes does he have to deal with in a single day?
"Who? Me?" (Y/n) perks up at Megatron's question. "Allow me to re-introduce myself! I am one of the Fourteen, (Y/n) Prime—well, was a Prime to be precise—" they said.
"—but~ if you want to know more about me why don't you ask Alpha Trion?" they said, "Oh, Alphy! Where are you~? Why don't you come out here and greet your ol' friend? It is quite rude ya know~!" they said. "I am sure that you are D(ie)YING to meet me!" they grin, before snorting and close their mouth. "Oh, wait! You can't! Cuz you're DEAD!" they exclaimed.
" Well, that's a bummer!" they said, giggling at the death of their 'friend'. "I am SO disappointed! I was about to have so much FUN with you!".
"I always knew that this day would happen! Watching all of them went offline ONE by ONE in such a MISERABLE way as possible— not to mention! In the hands of a prime wannabe— that's already dead right over there! HE HEHE HAHAHAHA!" they cackled.
Elita-1 grit her dentas together, narrowing her optics at the maniac right in front of her. How dare they make fun of the primes!
"Why you—" before Elita-1 could engage, Optimus stops her. "Elita... don't, we don't know what they are capable of" Optimus warns her. "But, they—" she protests but stops when she sees the pleading eyes of Optimus. She takes a step back and looks away.
"Alright, enough with the chit chat! Let the REAL fun begins!" (Y/n) exclaims.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: situationship!jude x reader
summary: jude and you are nothing complicated, until one night when you need him more than anything [wc:~800]
contents: angst & fluff at the same time bc why not + maybe a tiny bit suggestive ? idek if this classify as suggestive tbh
note: ikkk it's very short and that's a shit summary just read pls 😓 if u liked it, lmk by reblogging !!
now playing something to give each other by troye sivan...
you don't know what brought you two together. maybe it was the magnetic energy that he had to him, or maybe it was the way your personalities completed each other perfectly. either way, you found yourself wishing your paths never crossed a bit too often.
you and jude weren't anything serious, it was ‘less complicated’ this way according to him. you hung out with your shared friends and when everyone else was heading home, you would share a uber to his house or yours. it was simple really, you both got what you wanted by the end of the night.
and tonight, you needed him to take your mind off this awful day. you couldn't wait for him to make you forget about those stupid exams and these stupid arguments with your friends.
you didn't take the time to greet him like you usually did before kissing jude's lips, maybe bolder than he expected. his fingers gripped your jaw and forced you to slow down and separate from him.
“what's with you tonight?”, you could only roll your eyes at his comment, small talk being the last thing on your mind tonight. thankfully, your fingers raking the skin under his shirt was enough to shut him up. “i just need you, please jude.”
his eyes closed, it was hard to resist your pleas but your voice had a tone that was different than usual and he didn't want you to do something you might regret later, “no, you need to tell me what's going on, we're not doing anything if you don't.”
“fuck off, you never ask me about anything and suddenly you're interested in what's going on?” you couldn't understand the sudden switch in his behavior, it had always been just sex, why complicate it now? “i just need you to kiss me, take off my clothes, and make me feel good, is this too much to ask for?” you could feel your eyes well up in tears the more you spoke, already frustrated by your day, and not wanting to argue with him.
“it's fine if you don't want to have sex, i'll just text someone else.”, of course you didn't mean a word that came out of your mouth, if anything you would leave and cry yourself to sleep in your bed. jude's thumbs wiped tears that you didn't notice were falling before cupping your face in his hands. his eyes looked into yours in a way you weren't used to, your eyes fell on the floor from the intensity of his gaze, but two of his fingers were already tilting your face up, forcing you to make eye contact with him.
the silence between the two of you was becoming embarrassing, “i'm sorry about… all of this, i'll just go. sorry.” you couldn't even turn your back to him before his hand found your wrist, “you're not going anywhere. stay the night, please.”
you couldn't hide the frown on your face, confused by his words, “but you said you wouldn't…” the boy in front of you dramatically pretended to get offended, “this information might surprise you, but my life doesn't revolve around sex.” the giggles that escaped your mouth brought back a smile on both your lips.
jude's hand brought you to his room, although you knew the way all too well already, the warmth of his hand in yours brought you a sense of comfort that you didn't know you longed for. he handed you a shirt that was probably twice your size but would be perfect to sleep in. you embarrassingly looked around you before asking him to turn around, he complied but laughed his back now facing you.
“i've seen you naked so many times already, you shouldn't care about this love” heat was creeping up your face thinking about what he was hinting at, “s’ just different that's all…” your voice was barely audible, and you couldn't even tell if jude heard your words. you got under his sheets and told him he could turn around, his bed now significantly warmer with him next to you.
even with his eyes shut, jude could tell you were tense laying next to him ramrod straight. you felt his arm around you pull you closer, your face now nuzzled into the crook of his neck.
you felt him shift a bit, and kiss the crown of your hair. the action made you heart skip a beat or two and relax more. you hoped you did a good job at pretending to be asleep because you didn't want to deal with the consequences of his ambiguous gestures in the morning. his fingers slowly stroking your hair were lulling you to sleep for real this time.
jude stopped once he heard your light snores and pressed on one more kiss on top of your head. he didn't let himself fall into the arms of morpheus though, already thinking about how he would fix whatever he started tonight.

could you please write an early!roan fic where maybe she thinks Y/N is actually just coming around to spend time with her and then she finds out that it’s actually cause of her eddie, and gets all grumpy like “i thought you loved me” and Y/N comforts her “i do love you, but i also love your dad!”
thank u for requesting!! eddie and roan 1k, fem
There's a distinct smell of burned toast coming from the trailer. You trust Eddie but you rush up the steps anyhow, alarmed to find him coughing in the kitchen, window thrown open.
"Will you take her?" he asks you immediately.
You spy Roan sitting at the kitchen table and swap her for your bag of groceries. She gasps and giggles at your sudden appearance, quick to wrap her arms around your neck when you offer your embrace. You walk her to the open door and stand there sucking in clean breaths as Eddie fans a dish towel around under the smoke alarm. "What's dad burning?" you ask.
"Um. Bagels?"
You rub her shoulder. "Hey, I missed you, huh? It's been a long time since I saw you."
"I missed you too!" Roan says quickly, eager, wrapping her arms tighter around your neck to squish your cheeks together.
You smile into her hug. You and Eddie have been busy once again, and when you did manage to steal a date night, Ro was at Wayne's. You really have missed the little girl and you intend to show it, stroking your fingers through her hair gently. She dissolves like always.
"Shit," Eddie says, throwing two blackened bagels into the sink and running the water. "Shit, fuck. I'm sorry, girls, I don't know where my head's at."
"Cream cheese can't fix that."
"It's okay, dad," Roan says. "We can get burgers."
"I can't always feed you burgers, babe, it's not good for you." Eddie rubs his hair out of his face. "And Y/N just got here from work, she doesn't wanna go out again." You're dying to flop on their couch, but if she wants a burger for dinner, who are you to stop her? Still, Eddie puts his foot down. "No, bub. I'll make some more bagels. It'll be yummy. We have salami and everything."
"Uh," she whines, laying back in your arms. You nearly drop her. You laugh at her dramatics as she slowly drags herself back up, her eyes practically sparkling with an idea. "Me and you can go get burgers," she whispers.
"I really am tired. Let's get burgers on the weekend, maybe." You don't like letting her down but you have to be a united front with Eddie. Usurping his authority helps no one, especially when she wants something she isn't going to get today. "And I'd miss dad."
"Who cares about dad?" she says.
You laugh. "I do! He's my boyfriend."
"He's your what?"
Eddie looks up from where he's cleaning. The burned bagels have been disposed of, the kitchen sink washed out and the toaster cleared of scorched crumbs. "You knew that, Ro." He sounds puzzled.
"He's my prince," you say. "You know? The prince to my princess Polly."
"What?" Roan stares at you with an extremely amusing expression, her eyebrows tugged in betrayal.
"Sweetheart, you know me and daddy are together, don't you?" you ask, hosting her higher on your hip. "That's why we go on dates and stuff. And why he brings me flowers, why we had that anniversary dinner, remember, with the melted chocolate?"
"I thought you loved me."
"I love you so much," you say, looking to Eddie for assistance. He seems as lost as you feel. "Like, so much. But I love dad too. He's hard not to love, isn't he? He's handsome and funny, and he makes great grilled cheese–"
Roan does not look happy. She pushes at your chest to be put down and sprints out of the kitchen to her bedroom, where you hear a clattering of things being pushed over and a whine filled to the brim with attitude.
"Should I…"
Eddie shakes his head. "In a minute. Let her be angry for a bit. This is her first heartbreak."
You meander into him and pinch his waist. "Don't say that to me, that's awful. Poor baby, did she really not know we were dating?"
"Of course she knows. She just forgets, 'cos she loves you and she thinks you're best friends" He wraps an arm over your shoulders. "Wow. I wonder if she thinks of me as the third wheel when we hang out."
You take the bread knife out of his hand. "Don't bother with that. We're getting burgers."
Eddie's laugh is more of a girly, cute giggle, like he's just had a shot. You elbow him in the stomach until he cuts it out, and beg forgiveness for being grouchy with a hug. You press your face into his neck and huff. "I missed you before you got me in trouble," you mumble.
"Nuh-uh, that had nothing to do with me." He kisses your temple. "She loves you. It's nice. It's… You're awesome. It's great that she thinks you love her more than you love me, even if she's wrong."
"I do love her more than I love you."
"Are you trying to piss us both off? You can go get burgers by yourself."
Roan is face down in her bed when you knock on her door a couple of minutes later, completely still. You pick up the plushies she's flung off her bed and sit them up in pride of place against the wall. "Princess, you know I love you," you say. "Don't you?"
"Yeah."
"But you know I love daddy too?"
"Ugh." She shakes her head in disgust.
"Ugh," you say agreeably. "You're my favourite, though."
She turns very slightly to peek at you. "I am?"
"Obviously. That's why I just told dad we were going for burgers whether he wanted to or not." You tickle her side until she laughs and turns on her back to escape you. "I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, I wasn't trying to. We're still friends, right?"
"We're best friends."
"That's what daddy said." You scoop her up into your side for a squish. "We're best friends forever," you whisper.
She leans up to rub her nose against yours.

'No no no Steve wait, don't throw that a...way.' The end of the sentence died on Eddie's tongue as the leftover lasagna, basically in slow-motion, tumbled out of the dish and into the bin. Eddie could almost hear a funeral march start to play over the dull thud and the sound of crushing eggshells.
'Fuck,' he said, emphatically.
'That was barely half a portion,' Steve remarked with a careless shrug while putting the empty dish back on the kitchen counter.
And Eddie groaned, tried to count to ten in his head but didn't even make it to two.
'I was gonna have that for lunch, man, add a slice of bread and an apple and I'd have a decent meal!'
There must have been something in his voice that told Steve that he wasn't just being overly dramatic but genuinely annoyed, because his face dropped and he shot a quick glance at the dish, as if that would magically summon the lasagna back into it, untouched by gross eggshells and coffee dregs.
'Seriously, that was perfectly good food, why would you throw that away?!'
'I can buy you lunch tomorrow?' Steve suggested sheepishly.
And, well, that hit a sore spot.
'That's not the fucking point!' Eddie exclaimed in frustration. 'I'm not your charity case or some shit, I can take care of my own meals – as long as you don't throw my food away!'
And again, it was like Eddie saw it happen in slow-motion: Steve flinched, took a stumbling step backwards, created as much distance between himself and Eddie as possible in the trailer’s tiny kitchen by bumping his back against the counter; something crossed his face that Eddie had never seen there before. And... shit.
All his frustration dissolved right on the spot and he immediately took another step away from Steve, even though everything inside of him wanted to cross that distance and hold him. He raised his hands in the air, cautious not to move too sudden.
'Steve, I'm not mad at you,' he said, forcing himself to sound as calm as possible despite his heart beating like crazy. 'I got annoyed, sure, but – it's okay. We're okay. You're okay. I didn't wanna hurt you, I promise.'
Steve swallowed, let his eyes dart everywhere except at Eddie's face while he tightly crossed his arms in front of his chest. The fear seemed to have disappeared from his face, replaced by something else; something expertly concealed within seconds. Anyone less well-versed than Eddie in the craft of noticing every little detail about Steve Harrington wouldn't notice; but Eddie did.
'You wanna talk about what happened there?' he asked, hesitant.
Steve didn't answer right away, his eyes still frantically darting around the trailer and his lower lip sucked between his teeth.
'What do you mean?' he finally said.
'Can I come closer?' Eddie asked. He felt like it would be so much easier to have this conversation if he could touch Steve; if he could smell him and have him in his orbit.
Steve nodded; Eddie sighed a breath of a relief and crossed the distance between them to rest his hands against Steve's sides; not quite an embrace, but something grounding for both of them nonetheless.
'I kinda recognized that look in your eyes, I guess,' Eddie quietly admitted. 'And the way you flinched. Like you were scared I was gonna do something bad.'
'I know you wouldn't –'
'I know,' Eddie was quick to reassure him. There was a beat of silence and Eddie wondered how much he should push. But he knew that he needed this conversation to happen, that it would keep gnawing at both of them if they didn't talk about it now.
'It's because of your dad, isn't it?'
Steve nodded, still looking slightly past Eddie.
'I'm sorry.' Eddie exhaled sharply, trying to keep his emotions under control; he knew that aimless anger at Steve's father wouldn't get them anywhere; not here, not right now. 'I mean, I knew he was bad, but I had no idea that it was... like that.'
He could hear Steve breathe out while he stared at some point just above Eddie's head.
'Sometimes I think all that crap is behind me now,' Steve quietly started to explain. 'But then something like this happens and it – it just catches me by surprise, is all. Like I'll never completely be free of the fear.'
Eddie nodded. 'Uncle Wayne, he... He looks a lot like my father - even though he's nothing like him. Took me years to fully trust him. He makes sure to never raise his voice, but still, sometimes when I see him make a sudden movement from the corner of my eyes, I just... freeze. Like it's some kind of instinct that’ll always stay with me.'
Steve finally looked Eddie in his eyes again, stunned and a little bit shocked.
'Your dad, too?'
Eddie nodded. 'Mhm.'
And wordlessly, Steve pulled him closer, until Eddie was enveloped in his warm arms and their chests were pressed against each other. Eddie let his eyes fall shut, breathed in Steve's familiar scent while he nestled his face in the crook of his neck and tightened his own grip around Steve's back.
They stayed like that for minutes, maybe even a whole eternity.
'Should we make rules?' Steve finally asked, in a hesitant voice and without pulling away from their embrace.
'What kind of rules?'
'Like, things to make sure that this doesn't – that we won't get scared. I know we can't promise not to fight, but...' He trailed off; Eddie could feel him shrug his shoulders.
He started slowly stroking one hand up and down over Steve's back. 'What was the thing that got you afraid, earlier?'
'Your loud voice – and the way you stepped into my space, I guess.'
'Okay.' Eddie nodded. 'So no yelling, and we try to keep our distance when shit goes sour. Sound good?'
Steve hummed against Eddie’s neck. 'Yeah. And for you? You mentioned the sudden movements, with Wayne?'
'Yeah, no sudden movements would help,' Eddie admitted.
'Okay, I can do that.'
Eddie squeezed Steve tighter. 'Thank you.'
Steve huffed. 'You're the one who started this conversation; I should be thanking you.'
Eddie lifted his face to press a gentle kiss against Steve's cheek, and another one at the corner of his lips.
'I'm sorry for startling you.'
'That's okay, you couldn't know.'
'Can you stop doing that, please?’ Eddie said with a chuckle. ‘Let me say thank you, let me apologize. Let me take care of you.'
Steve chuckled too; never before had Eddie been so grateful to hear that sound. 'I'll try.'
'You wanna stay the night?'
Steve shuffled, pulled back a little bit so that Eddie could see his face; there was a frown between his eyebrows.
'I'm not sure if I'm in the mood, after, you know...'
'Hey,' Eddie said, softly. 'You can stay the night for other reasons, too, you know. To have some comfort. To fall asleep together. To let me make sure that you're doing alright.'
'You sure?'
'Hell yes.'
Steve's head dropped down to Eddie's shoulder again, and Eddie lifted his hand to comb through his hair.
'Yeah, I'll stay.'

Drabble -Fluff
John Price X GN!Reader
Summary: your newly moved in and John has been spending a lot of time at work, so much that you were starting to really feel neglected. John will make it better though, he has too.
Warnings: crying?
Authors note: hiiii i adore super sweet and adorable price :D thats it, this is comfort and fluffy.
Tumblr media
John had been working later the past few weeks and you were really starting to feel abandoned. He would come home after you were already fast asleep. Though you had tried to stay up later the first week, it became evident he was not going to be coming home anytime soon. He woke so early you barely get to have a sip of coffee with him in your plush robe and messy hair before he's out the door. Leaving you with a kiss to the forehead and a little pout on your lips.
You were growing more and more fed up with not having a moment with him, you had moved in to be closer but he's been working so much you feel like you're living alone again. You try to convince yourself you're being dramatic, that he’s a captain and he's busy. His work was important and you shouldn’t feel like he's ignoring you… he’s not leaving you behind, no, never… right? You can't help but have those thoughts, that he has already grown tired of you.
It was when you noticed it had been nearly a month, he had stayed late every night, came home to you sleeping and left before you hardly had time to wake up. The whole day you couldn't help the moping. You shuffled around the house on your day off with nothing to do. You had no motivation to call up a friend or even go to a store. All you wanted was for John to come home early for once or even on time.
You finally got tired, watching a dumb movie on the couch and fell asleep. A blanket half haphazardly slung over your middle while you curled up into a little ball.
Hours later John was quietly closing the door and taking his boots off when he looked over and saw you. You were asleep on the couch with the movie's home screen lighting the room.
He smiles softly when he crouches in front of you, a hand coming up to stroke your hair. “Love.” he says softly, making you stir in your sleep. “C’mon love, lets get ya ta bed, eh?” his thumb strokes your cheek gently.
You shake your head a little and swat his hand away. “D’wanna.” is all you mumble.
John cocks a brow at you. “Why not, what's wrong with our bed lovie?” he asks, his fingers continuing to try and soothe you awake.
You nuzzle into the couch a little. “To empty.” your voice is quiet, justice above a whisper.
Confused John shakes his head before sliding his arms under you then lifting you to his chest. You let out a squeaky yelp and cling to his shirt. He takes you to the bedroom while you try and blink your eyes awake. “What ya talkin’bout? Cause yer pretty self ain't in it, that's why.” he retorts and sets you down on the bed.
You can't help the tears that immediately form in your eyes when you look up at him. He didn't get it…”No that’s… it’s empty because of-” you hesitate a moment, a tear rolling down your cheek and look down at your lap, avoiding John's eyes.
He doesn't like that. Slowly long fingers are tilting your chin up so your eyes are locked with his. “What is it love, what's wrong?” he asks, voice smooth and calming. He didn’t understand why you were so sad all of a sudden but he didn’t like it.
You blink a few tears away which he swiped at with the pad of his thumb. You let out a shaky breath. “You… it's so empty and you aren't here John.” you finally confess. Your tears fall uncontrollably now and you can’t help the little hiccup that escapes you. You hadn’t even realized you had been this affected until you couldn't stop crying.
John hates seeing you this way, he never liked when you cried and the fact that he caused it? No he couldn’t have this. You were his world, how could he sit here and watch you suffer because of him.
“Love, I'm sorry, ya know I don't mean to be gone so much.” he sank to one knee in front of you and placed his hands on your thighs, looking up at you. “I love ya so much doll, ya know i do, don't ya?” he asks, eyes focused on your blurry ones.
You nod a little. “I know…” You tell him, voice hushed and shaky.
He mirrors your small nod with a little smile. “Sometimes i need a little remindin is all. Need you to tell me to slow down sometimes because my work has always taken everything over.” he lets out a short breath. “But i need ya too love, i think about you all day. Been trying to finish up this last bit of preparation and paperwork before this next mission. I'll be gone for a while and i just want to spend as much time with ya before i go.” he explained, the exhaustion and stress written clear across his face.
The way John looked at you, so much care and concern, you knew he didn’t mean to make you feel this way. You smile a little and bring a hand up to his jaw, caressing the softness of his beard. “I'm sorry, I just started to really miss you.” you admit. “i know you work hard, i don't want to add any more stress an-”
“Dove, please dont say stuff like that.” John cuts you off before your head can spiral too fast. “Ya’ve done nothin wrong. Ya need to tell me these things, tell me when yer hurting so i can help. I need ya to be okay above all else, got that?”
Your smile widens a little. “I will, I promise.” you say and lean in to press your soft lips to his, giving him a gentle kiss. “I love you John.” you tell him when you pull back to look into his eyes again. “I don't know what I'd do without you.”
With his hands now traveling along your thighs, John smirks up at you. “Probably better off.” he jokes, a little.
You swat at his shoulder and shake your head. “Don't say that.” you scold with a half-hearted scowl. “You're good for me John, you can't tell me otherwise.” you say adamantly.
He smiles at you, big and genuine. “Well, how’sbout this, tomorrow i'll go to the barracks, delegate a little and come home early?” John offers, his hands now kneading your plush thighs. His calloused fingers
Your eyes light up. “Really?”
He nods. “Really, the boys can handle it for one day.” He says.
You wrap your arms around his neck and nuzzle a little into his neck. “I'd really like that.” you say, voice going shaky again. Your tears were from joy and relief however. John was so kind and he listened to you, never blamed you and treated you so wonderfully. You were glad you were here with him, in his home and his life.
John welcomed your embrace by wrapping his own arms around your back, pulling you into his lap on the ground. You giggled when he peppered the side of your head with kisses. “So, what do you want to do tomorrow, whatever you want, love.”
You think for a moment but only one thought comes to mind. “I want to stay here, at home. I want to spend that day relaxing and enjoying some peaceful time together… maybe we could make dinner together too?” you offer, pulling back enough to look up at him a little.
“That sounds wonderful love.” He agrees and kisses the top of your head.
Tomorrow couldn’t come fast enough you thought.

Tumblr media
(NOT MY GIF credit to creator)
"Y/n are you coming to Hogsmead? We're shopping for the Yule Ball." Poppy asked with a smile as she closed the book in front of her.
Me, Poppy, Imelda, Nattie, Sebastian and Garreth had been sat in the Great Hall studying for the past hour and it seemed like we were finally giving up.
"I don't think I can, I have a stack of books to take back to the library before three or I've got detention for a week again." I responded with a frown, gesturing to the stack of books next to me making Sebastian chuckle a bit.
"Of course you do." He said from opposite me with an eye roll.
"As if your one to talk Sallow you haven't had a free evening since first year." Imelda said from next to him causing him to roll his eyes and look back down at his book.
"But Y/n if you don't come when will you get your dress?" Nattie asked from next to me, also closing her book and stuffing it into her bag.
I just shrugged with a smile, beginning to gather my things as well "I'm still not sure if I'm definitely going, I still haven't got a date and I haven't got enough time to get anything to wear. If I do go I'll probably just grab something last minute."
"No you can't do that. I'll take your books back to the library for you, you should go to Hogsmead. You never know when someone might ask you." Garreth said with a chipper voice from the other side of me, he slid my stack of books in front of himself before getting up from the table.
"Thanks Garreth you really don't need to." I smiled at him as he gathered his things into his arms.
He smiled back, squeezing my shoulder with one hand before beginning to walk off "it's my pleasure!" He shouted over his shoulder.
"What was that about?" Poppy asked with a squeal, sliding into Garreth's spot next to me. "I think someone might have a crush."
I laughed and shook my head "What Garreth on me? As if! He doesn't think of me that way."
The girls all laughed and gave me different looks that all seemed as if they were trying to say the same thing.
"Y/n he's definitely into you, and I'm never wrong." Imelda said in her usual knowing voice.
Sebastian quickly stood from the table, yanking his bag with him "I'll see you guys later." He said in an annoyed voice, walking off and out of the hall quickly.
"Why's he in such a bad mood all of a sudden?" Nattie asked with a quirked eyebrow.
Imelda rolled her eyes dramatically "When isn't he."
~~~~~
Me and Imelda tried to keep our laughter as quiet as possible as we snuck back into the common room. It was only thirty minutes past curfew but we'd both be in detention if anyone saw us.
We'd both taken our robes off since the rain had been so heavy that they had began to drag us down, our shirts and skirts were clinging to our skin uncomfortably and my hair had stuck its self to my face. Despite our best efforts the four of us couldn't fit under Poppy's little umbrella and the sky had decided to begin the hardest rain I'd ever seen the second we left the dress shop.
"I call the first shower!" Imelda yelled with a giggle as we entered the warm common room.
"No that's unfair!"
"I've got broom practice in the morning I need to go to bed!" She argued as we walked into the main part of the room.
I spotted Seb sat infront of the fire with a book in his hands which made me smile slightly.
"Fine go have a shower, I'll sit by the fire."
She smiled at me and ran off before I could change my mind, taking the bag with our dresses in with her.
"Your back late." Sebastian said once she'd left the room, I walked over to sit on the little sofa next to him.
"Got a bit carried away I guess." I replied with a laugh "What're you still doing up?"
He shrugged, closing the book that was on his lap and placing it on the table next to us "Wanted to finish my book, and I figured I'd make sure you'd gotten back okay."
"I can take care of myself you know?" I kicked my shoes off so I could bring my feet up onto the sofa.
"Yeah trust me I know. Merlin your soaking?" He laughed at me, moving some of the wet hair that had cemented itself to my forehead off of my face for me.
"Oh yeah? Want a hug?" I laughed, opening my arms and moving towards him.
He pulled far away from me, drawing into himself but not getting off the sofa.
"Don't you dare. I swear I will curse you."
"Oh yeah? Prove it." I laughed and threw myself onto his lap, wrapping my wet and cold arms around him. He pretended to fight me off for a minute with a laugh before allowing me to just rest my weight on him.
"Merlin, you're freezing." He smiled whilst shaking his head, pulling a blanket over the both of us.
"Not all of us have the luxury of being able to spend all evening reading by the fire. I've fought dragons and I believe that was easier than finding a dress for this godforsaken ball."
He looked down at me with a smile, using his thumb to wipe the drops of rain that were still on my cheeks away, his nose brushing against mine slightly.
"About the ball-"
"Y/n the showers free!" Imelda's voice yelled from the direction of the seventh year girls dormitory, obviously not caring if she woke someone up.
"You should probably go have a warm shower before you catch a cold." He said, sitting up a little straighter.
I moved off him with an awkward cough and nodded, "What were you about to say?"
"Oh it was nothing. I'll see you tomorrow." He grabbed his book and disappeared into the boys dormitory before I could respond.
A stupid part of me thought that he might've been about to ask me to go with him, I've had a crush on him since our adventures in fifth year but it's stupid of me to think he'd see me that way now. It's been this many years of being his best friend it's just something I've learned to live with.
~~~~~
"How was the dress shopping?" Garreth asked, taking a seat next to me at breakfast.
"It was really good, thanks for taking those books back for me again. If there's anything I can do to say thanks just let me know." I smiled at the boy as he cleared his throat awkwardly.
"Actually there is, I was wondering if you maybe would want to go to the ball with me? If you don't want to that's totally fine but I thought I'd just asked, I've liked you for a little bit but I don't want to make this friendship awkward." The poor boy was speaking so quickly that he was skipping over his words whilst tapping his foot quite loudly on the floor.
I saw Sebastian look up over his book from the corner of my eye.
"Merlin Weasley, could you be any smoother?" He said with a laugh, his voice cracking slightly at the beginning of his sentence.
Garreth went an ever brighter shade of red and looked wordlessly away from Sebastian "never mind it was a stupid question anyway."
"Wait Garreth, I'd love to go to the ball with you." I said with a smile, shooting Sebastian a look.
"Really?" "Really?"
Both Garreth and Sebastian said at the same time, gaining Sebastian a harsh elbow from Ominis next to him.
"Really."
Garreth smiled widely, giving Sebastian a smug look from across the table.
Seb just rolled his eyes at him, dropping his fork as he stood up, leaving the great hall without eating any of his breakfast.
"What's bothering him?" Garreth asked from next to me as Ominis shrugged.
"You know what he's like, he's probably not heard off Anne for a while." Ominis said with an awkward pause, causing me to quirk an eyebrow.
"I'm gonna go check on him, I'll see you guys in potions." I said, standing from the table and walking out to the courtyard.
I spotted the Slytherin boy sat on the wall overlooking the boathouse and headed over to him.
"What's wrong with you recently?" I asked, standing next to him.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"You've been acting off, is everything okay with Anne?"
He rolled his eyes, not that he'd turned to look at me anyway.
"Yes, not everything I do and feel revolves around her you know."
"I know I just thought-"
"Well stop thinking for me. Why're you out here anyway? Surely you could be planning out your evening with Weasley inside?"
"Is that what this is about? You're annoyed at me for saying yes?"
"Don't be so full of yourself Y/n I couldn't care less who you go to the ball with."
"Then what's wrong?"
"Nothing! Merlin why don't you know how to leave things alone!"
"Why're you being so mean to me all of a sudden? I just want to make sure my best friend is okay! You were all smiley and happy with me last night what's happened that's upset you?"
He scoffed, standing up from the wall "Y/n everyone is your 'best friend' I don't mean anything more to you than Professor Garlick does don't pretend differently."
"Seb you know you mean the world to me what are you talking about?"
He rolled his eyes with a small laugh. "As if Y/n, we're only friends because I needed help with Anne and you wanted me to teach you spells that Fig couldn't. And look now we're stuck with each other for no reason! Don't pretend to be my friend."
My eyes pricked slightly at his words as I shook my head at him. "You're an asshole Sallow, I don't know why I keep putting you first. Fuck you."
"Oh fuck off you've never put anyone but yourself first."
I turned around and walked off before he could see me cry. Heading straight back down into the Slytherin dormitories.
~~~~~
It was finally the day of the Yule Ball and me, Imelda, Nattie and Poppy were all piled into Poppy's dormitory getting ready.
Nattie was putting my makeup on for me as Poppy tied Imelda's hair up for her.
"Are you guys excited!" Poppy asked with a big smile, her long pink dress complimented her smile and eyes perfectly and she somehow seemed to be smiling wider than ever.
"Yeah I am actually." Imelda said as she admired her now done hair in the mirror, she had on a little black dress, a little less formal than the other dresses but allowed her to move around a lot easier and suited her personality well.
"Wow that's the most excited I've seen her talk about something other than flying." I said with a laugh, having to dodge the makeup brush she sent flying at my head with a laugh.
Nattie gave her a look before finishing the last of my makeup with a smile. "There, perfect."
I smiled back at her and thanked her before turning to help her finish her eyeliner.
Nattie had a beautifully patterned red and gold dress on, the perfect dress for any proud Gryffindor and she pulled it off better than I could imagine anyone else.
"Have you spoken to Sallow yet?" Poppy asked handing a small flask of fire whisky around the room.
I sighed and shook my head slightly.
"Nope, I've lost track of which one of us is avoiding the other now. I'm not speaking to him until he apologises though and I doubt that's going to happen."
"Do you know what's actually wrong with him?" Nattie asked, handing me the flask now that I'd finished her makeup.
I shook my head and took a large sip from the flask, trying not to flinch at the taste.
"No Ominis doesn't want to be in the middle so he won't talk to me about it."
Imelda shook her head and pulled me and Nattie up onto our feet. "It's his loss anyway, look at yourself you don't need him. Garreth's jaw is going to be on the floor."
I laughed slightly at her and smoothed my green dress out whilst looking in the mirror, she did have a point.
"Come on we're going to be late." Poppy said, dragging us out of the Hufflepuff common room.
"So what exactly is the situation with you and Weasley?" Nattie asked as we made our way to the great hall.
"There's no situation, we're just friends, we spoke about it the other day. He said he does have a little crush but Professor Weasley was pushing him to get a date and he figured he'd just ask. We're not dating or anything I don't feel that way about him."
She nodded along to my words as we approached the hall, music growing louder and louder.
Poppy was leading the group, looking around in awe at the decorations as we entered the hall.
The girls split off eventually, all heading off to their dates and Garreth came over to me with his arm out.
"Want to dance?"
"Wow Weasley I didn't know you could." I said with a laugh, nodding as I took his arm and we joined in with the couples dancing in synch around the room.
"I can't but my aunt will tell my mum if we spend the whole night trying to slip fire whisky in the punch."
I laughed at him and looked over his shoulder to see professor Weasley looking at us with an approving smile.
We danced for a while until we had to stop because I was laughing too hard, a mix of the fire whiskey and Garreth's clumsiness of stepping on me or into a nearby object had cracked me up to the point of needing to sit down to catch my breath.
He laughed next to me as I lent my forehead on his shoulder to catch my breath.
I wiped a tear from under my eye as I composed myself, hoping the laughter hadn't ruined my makeup but the end of the night was nearing quickly enough that it hardly mattered anymore.
I looked around the hall, smiling as I saw the girls dancing with their dates, even Ominis was twirling a girl around in the corner.
"Everyone seems to be having a great night." I said with a smile.
Garreth nodded next to me "it's nice to see everyone chilling out after exams."
"Oh yeah because you were so focused on studying." I said with a snort.
"I wasn't talking about me." He laughed at shook his head.
I looked across the room and locked eyes with Sebastian who was stood alone in the corner, leaning against the wall.
He did look handsome in his dress robes, although all formality of his attire seemed to have been discarded. His robes were no where to be seen, his shirt sleeves had been pulled up to his elbows and his tie had been loosed enough to allow him to undo the top two buttons of his shirt, and his black waistcoat had been completely undone.
It suited him more than a formal look though. He hadn't even bothered to do his hair properly, letting it fall over his face.
He looked away from me for a second, putting his glass down on the table next to him and exiting the hall.
"I'm really sorry but do you mind if I head out a sec?" I asked looking over to Garreth who was already looking at me, most likely catching the small interaction.
He cleared his throat and nodded "Yeah of course, I wanted to mess with the punch anyway. I'll catch you later."
He gave me a small smile and I nodded "thank you."
He just gave me a small nod and I got up, crossing the room to head out the same doors as Sebastian did,entering the courtyard.
He was leaning over the wall and looking out over the hills. The rain hadn't stopped all week and Sebastian already looked like he'd gone for a swim in the lake.
I hesitated for a second and with a sigh I walked out onto the cobble stone, feeling the cold rain soak my whole outfit before I'd even taken two steps.
I walked over next to him and lent against the wall as well, not looking up at him and instead over the mountains that surrounded the school.
"Hey." I said quietly, bracing for some sort of anger to be thrown back at me.
"Hey." Was all I got back, a much more gentle and quiet voice than I was expecting.
We stood in silence for a while before he stood up slightly with a sigh.
"I'm sorry. I was angry I didn't mean what I said, you know that. You mean the world to me as well, and you're the most selfless person I've ever met."
I looked up at him to see him already looking down at me with a timid smile.
"I don't expect you to accept the apology I was out of line I know but-"
"Seb just tell me what was bothering you. I don't care about what you said I know you didn't mean it, it's just your my best friend and I want to know what's wrong."
He clenched his jaw slightly at my words and looked away from me again.
"It's just- I was jealous, I didn't like the idea of you and Weasley spending all night dancing and laughing together and sitting there watching it only made it worse." He took a deep breath and despite my best efforts he wouldn't meet my eyes.
"Jealous? Of me and Garreth? Why?"
"Because I've been in love with you since you kicked my ass in defence against the dark arts in fifth year. But I know that all the people around me get hurt and I could never bring you any sort of peace. Between my short temper and the fact you're so headstrong, which is one of the things I love so much about you, but we bicker all the time as it is. I never wanted to say anything because I didn't want to loose the best thing I have in my life and I know that I'd ruin it somehow, and that's even if you even wanted to give me a chance which is unlikely, just look at you."
"You love me? Why didn't you ask me to the ball yourself?"
"Because I saw you in there, you were laughing the whole time. I don't do that to you." He slouched slightly and wiped the rain drops from his face as he looked over the horizon.
"Seb look at me."
He didn't move for a second before finally turning to face me, allowing me to place a hand on his cheek. Moving the wet hair out of his eyes the same way he did to me only a week before.
"Seb I love our bickering. You bring a different type of love and joy to my life that no one else could. Your not just some hot headed idiot who hurts those around him, your the most caring man I've ever met who risks everything if you believe it would give you the smallest chance to help the people you love. I've loved you since the day I met you. I just didn't think you'd want me."
He just looked at me for a second before placing a hand gently on my cheek and leaning down to meet my lips, his other hand resting on the small of my back to pull me closer.
I kissed back and despite the hard rain falling on top of us I'd never felt so warm and safe.
The kiss was gently and loving, as if he was afraid that I'd disappear from his touch.
He pulled away after a moment, resting his forehead against mine as our noses bumped together.
"I'm sorry I didn't ask you here tonight. I wish I could've had at least one dance with you."
"Who said it's too late?" I pressed another gentle kiss to his lips before pulling him into the middle of the courtyard where the music of the hall could still be faintly heard.
He chuckled slightly as he held his arm out to me.
"May I have this dance?"
"Yes you certainly may Sallow."
He laughed before pulling me close to his chest, allowing me to rest my head against him as we rocked slowly to the music under a sheet of rain.
"For the record you look insanely beautiful tonight." He said, pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
I laughed and looked up at him with a smile. "As if, I'm soaking wet, my makeup's probably making me look like a clown right now."
He laughed and shook his head, moving his hand to push a strand of wet hair behind my ear. "Your truly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, I was star struck when I saw you enter the hall, and I think you look even more beautiful now out here in the rain with me. Just like how I thought you looked beautiful in that cave fighting off spiders covered in webs, dirt and ash. I don't think there's ever been a single second I haven't been in awe of you."
I shook my head slightly at him with a smile "since when are you this nice?"
He lent down to meet me for another kiss, laughing against my lips and we continued to dance in the courtyard all night until the music stopped.
Can I request a scenario where dazai and fem reader are hanging out together and suddenly some guy that went out with her once on a bad date sees them and assumes they’re together and is really sad about it and asking for another chance. Like lowkey embarrassing. And dazai is a bit jealous because “why didn’t she tell me she’s been going on dates?”
I just want a little funny Chaos with crushing!dazai.
when dazai has a crush on you - dazai x fem reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: on which the osamu dazai had a massive crush on you; however he has no idea how to go about it and suddenly has an awkward interaction with your ex, who begs for you to get back with him.
a/n: when life gives you motivation, you use it all in one one-shot and never return!!
"what's your favorite ice cream flavor?" he asked you as the two of you were walking down the streets of yokohama. winter was finally here and snow covered what used to be green grass and the clouds were in the shades of grey and white.
"dazai, it's freezing!"
"ah, but that doesn't mean we can't have a special treat!" he grinned, quirking an eyebrow as he waited for a response out of you.
you rolled your eyes with a smile; "if you just have to know!!" you said dramatically, a hand to your chest, "it's pistachio..."
"you basic-"
"HUSH!" you clamped his mouth with your hand, laughing to yourself as he looked at you with a "GIRL WTF-"
"i don't care if calls me a basic bitch, THERE GOOD!!" he held his arms up in defense, "your words not mine!"
you slapped his arm once more as you both kept walking.
"are you going to pay?"
"didn't i tell you? i lost my wallet in the river, it belongs to the frogs now."
"osamu- that was 2 YEARS AGO!!"
"and those frogs MUST have a mansion by now!"
"oh my go-"
"but you, my sweet y/n, you must have some spare change to by your best friend in the whole wide world to get some ice cream for us??????"
he blinked at you with his fingers interlocked with each other and you sighed, shoving his face away from his own.
"i literally hate you..."
"you looooooove me~"
what he said may have been true; we'll, he hoped?
-
"have you ever wondered if atsushi purrs?"
you looked up at dazai; raising an eyebrow as you took a bite of your ice cream. "where does your mind go after work hours?" you shook your head as you chuckled; "wait, I'm serious. like if you scratch behind his ear, does he meow?"
as dazai went on and on about god knows what; you saw a familiar boy stand next to the store of the small ice cream shop...he seemed to be with other boys, around your age, and he was just kinda glancing over at you.
where do you recognize him from?
"are you okay?" dazais voice caused you to look at him quickly, "hm?"
dazai grinned, "something on your mind? is it my, witty charms? my gorgeous vocal cords, or perhaps-"
you shake your head chuckling at just how stupid your best friend is, "no- no, sorry. i just zoned out!"
he nods, not wanting to push further and once again started to talk about random things that popped into his mind.
after a bit, you notice the boy was gone however his friends were still there; you even recognized some of those boys as well. why does it look a little bit like-
"jeezus-"
"what was that?"
"i said "shoeless!"
"Y/N!!!!"
the sudden scream of your name from another man's voice besides dazais caused you both to jump.
you looked to your right, as dazai followed your stare...a boy who rushed over to you with blonde locks and baby blue eyes. he seemed to be in some sort of distress as he got on his knees.
"cody, what are you-"
"i'm so sorry i left you, baby, i was a fool to think i could find someone better!"
dazai was beyond confused as he said nothing but just watch. you glared at the boy who was on his knees; "cody, you cheated on me, and suddenly on your knees begging for me back?"
he nods, grabbing your hands as he looked you in the eye; "you were my everything, and i was stupid to believe i never needed you. I've been a mess without, i've let my hair grow up, i haven't shaved in 8 months, and i'm all alone!!"
"uhm..."
both you and your ex boyfriend looked at dazai who cleared his throat.
"y/n, what ...what is going on?"
before you could respond, cody shouts out; "YOU MOVED ON WITH HIM? what does he have that i don't? oh, OH, your into bandages?"
dazai gave him a "bitch what the fuck" look as he continued; "i can be better then anything he can be to you! i bet he doesn't even know what your favorite ice cream flavor is and got you one you didn't like!!"
"cody, i'm not dating anyone!!!" you blushed furiously, pulling your hand away.
both cody and dazai'a cheeks flushed, however dazai couldn't stop looking at you. 'you can date me' he thought to himself, but was knocked out of his trance as you dragged him away by the arm and said one final goodbye to cody, "your pathetic, cody! leaving me for a bastard who cheated on your ass as well because your a sad, cheating man who has nothing to live for besides eat and sleep all day long! at dazai has a job. you know, your right, he'll be a better boyfriend then you anyday!!"
and with that tou left the weeping man alone with his friends awkwardly standing there, giggling at the incounter that has happened.
as you and dazai got further away, you stopped and sighed. "i'm sorry dazai, that was so awkward! i never thought i'd see him again!" you rubbed your face and looked at the floor, but dazai chuckled and made you look at him.
"it's quite alright, y/n, but...when did you two break up? not that it's any of my buisness, but i had no idea you were even dating!?"
"you seem surprise, you believe a women like me can't pull a lover?"
he froze, "oh-n-no! not at all, i just- you know i just- well you never told-"
you rolled your eyes and punched his arm; "dude i'm kidding!!"
he chuckled, a couple minutes later the two of you decided to walk back home, however he offered to walk you home.
as the lights in yokohama lit up, the moon as set and the streets were quiet.
there was a calm silence as you both walked, the sound of dazais clicking heels caused you to always side eye him and smile. he's never walked you home like this before, he was always so talkative and have something to say.
"did you mean what you said, earlier today?"
ah.
there it was.
"you mean.."
"yeah.."
you smiled to yourself, looking at the floor as you stopped in front of your apartment. "of course i did, i'm sure you would try your hardest to be with the person you love, better then cody!!" you smiled, giving him a hug and waving goodbye.
"bye, dazai! see you at work tomorrow, I better not have to call you again so you won't be late!!" you waved, walking into your apartment.
"goodbye, y/n!" he waved, watching as you entered your apartment and your figure left.
"i love you..."
hi here's my oc who's now participating in my weird liu qingge/shang qinghua fake dating au i guess
Liang Yuwen was weird for a Bai Zhan disciple.
She was okay at fighting, but she was... fussy. Delicate and prissy and she pouted and cried whenever anyone tried to make her do anything she didn't want to do. Sometimes, Liu Qingge wondered how she even got on Cang Qiong in the first place. It was hard to imagine her as an initiate digging holes in the dirt when she got upset if a little mud got on her clothes.
In any case, Liu Qingge didn't really like her. He'd rather spend his time with almost literally anyone else.
She had, however, romanced her chosen An Ding disciple with such success that everyone was still talking about it.
"How did you do it," Liu Qingge said.
Liang Yuwen stared at him, eyes wide and round and soft. "How did I do what, Da-shixiong?"
"Your An Ding disciple--"
"Oh!" Liang Yuwen said, cutting him off, and then she started talking. She did a lot of talking. She in fact cheerfully ignored any of Liu Qingge's attempts to get a word in edgewise in favor of focusing on her Jiang-shixiong and how handsome he was and she was going to marry him and have three children and a big house and Liu Qingge didn't care about any of this.
"I meant," Liu Qingge ground out, when Liang Yuwen stopped talking for more than two seconds. "The paperwork."
"The paperwork," Liang Yuwen echoed, with a questioning tilt of her head.
"You did three weeks of An Ding paperwork."
"Oh, that," Liang Yuwen said. "I'm sorry, I wasn't sure what you meant! There's a lot of paperwork I go through, you know? But you meant Jiang-shixiong's paperwork. You're asking how I did that?"
Liu Qingge grunted his assent.
"Well, I found this one little thing immensely helpful. It's called 'paying attention in class', which happens to be an opportunity that can be undertaken any time there's class. You know, everyday. But I don't think I've ever seen you in class, actually?"
"If you're just making fun of me--"
"Now, there's no need to be so serious!" Liang Yuwen giggled. "I'm simply making a point that education is important! It's a necessity for taking over the duties of an An Ding disciple! Teaching classes, attending meetings, doing negotiations, that kind of thing."
Liu Qingge stared at Liang Yuwen. Liang Yuwen stared back, easy smile on her lips.
"It wasn't just paperwork," Liu Qingge said, sinking feeling in his stomach.
Liang Yuwen laughed. "What, did you think that was all I did? Just paperwork wouldn't have been nearly as impressive! But I'd imagine you'd have a harder time of it, wouldn't you? Jiang-shixiong's an inner disciple, Shang-shixiong's a head disciple -- taking over his duties would be much more intensive, wouldn't it?"
Shang Qinghua had mentioned something like this when they were discussing whether or not Liu Qingge should make a big, dramatic show of affection. He'd immediately dismissed it, convinced that there was no way Liu Qingge could ever handle what Shang Qinghua went through.
"Are you trying to make an effort?" Liang Yuwen said, soft and sympathetic. "Why is that? Is Shang-shixiong losing interest? Well, I suppose that's only natural. I can't imagine you've ever even made an attempt at making his life easier!"
She laughed again. Liu Qingge was struck with the sudden urge to punch her in the face.
Caine Catching the Reader trying on his Suit + gender neutral reader confesses to having a crush on him❤️
A/n: I thought this would be a cute thing to write during the wait for what's to come so here's some Caine being a clueless bean, so fluff galore!
Tumblr media
So you were scanning through your digital wardrobe and tbh you were getting really tired of wearing your same nauseating colors of your circus aesthetic why couldn't you ask him to switch it to something..different? That was when you reached the near end of your closet and saw a familiar metallic red garment of clothing
is that..?
no, no you're just having those so-called "digital hallucinations" but to your surprise you took the hanger out of the closet and lo' and behold, it WAS Caine's suit, your face was stuck in a awestruck expression of how you found it, how could that clueless set of dentures lose his fashionable suit? He would probably just make another one with just a snap of his fingers.
You were about to exit your room to return it until you took a good look at it only to notice it almost looked like it could fit you? Well, you were about to find out by trying it on yourself!
Moments later you slid to your mirror and..it was perfect fit..now this is getting weird how did he know your exact measurements?
But it felt so good to look as fly as he does, after all you can admit you got kind of a thing for him..okay a crush! You just never had the guts to tell him but he's probably already heard. Since he hears all, sees all. You just have been holding it in cause you can never get a moment with him alone cause..adventures and stuff.
Turning to see the back of you, a flash of light blinded your vision, only for your sight to return and see the image of Caine with a digital camera. (pun intended but let's say he has an actual digital camera)
"Ah! Caine! I told you nicely to knock before you come in!" you yelped as you jumped nearly out of your skin.
"Terribly sorry my dear! But I actually came in to check on you, but wow do you look stunning in that suit, it could stop traffic and heck, even me in my tracks!" he says clutching his chest dramatically as he pretends to faint.
your face=red from Caine's compliment "th-thanks i guess, I just found it and--''.
"found it? I added it your wardrobe cause..y'know..I couldn't help but overhear you talking to Ragatha about how you could rock a suit like mine! and boy, you were right!" he chirps as he happily floats over to the back of you, placing his hands on your shoulders, admiring how the tux fitted you, that's when it hit you..
Wait..he what?! Oh god, what else has he heard?? hopefully not your endless pining for him, you would metaphorically die!
As Caine faced the mirror, the both of you almost twinning in your matching suits, then he glances at you, a little puzzled of why your face was ablaze from embarrassment, unless..
"So I guess you heard, right?", you question, rubbing the back of your neck.
"Heard what my dear?" Caine asks confused. Well, there was no backing out now, you had to confess or you could go insane before anything else could in this digital hell. You turned to face the ringmaster and explained, "The reason I said I could wear your clothes, is that I have..a..gah! I like you Caine!"
His upper jaw jumps in surprise at your sudden response. A couple seconds of dead silence,his tone stayed ponderous as usual,"....oh. But I don't seem to understand my--"
''Caine, hear me out, I have an interest in you, you're funny, you have alot of personality, and not to mention stylish even if you do wear the same suit everyday, your voice is like music to me and i would listen to it every day. what I'm trying to say is..I want to go out and get to know you more." you confess, finally getting it off your chest as you desperately stare into his dual colored eyes that are now..sparkling?
The A.I took your hands and interlaced them with his as his voice took a softer tone as he asked,"Do you know how long I was waiting for you to say those very words?"
You started to smile brightly, that's one of his favorite features of you ever since he made that one adventure just for you (it was a ballroom that you two slow danced in *sighs lovingly*). "Too long?"
"I didn't know what was going on, at first I thought it was a missing binary code in my system but I realize what this feeling is now, every time I hear your voice, a single glance, your mere presence is but a blessing to me and I would sacrifice all the time in this digital world for you.." he swept one of his hands to push a section of your hair behind in your ear.
His sweet praises make your heart swell with warmth and only causing it to hammer against your chest halting your breathing pattern as you could feel yourself leaning closer and closer until he had to go back to his bombastic ringleader voice,"Now then! My darling, when would you like that date?"
reader.exe stopped working cause Caine called you darling.
"Wh-what about now?..", you stammer, shuffling your feet, "Since we are dressed..fancy."
"Excellent idea, my darling! although the NPC'S may mistake you for me, this should help!" he snaps his fingers as your tux now became a shiny blue with white leggings. It was always amazing of how powerful the A.I was.
Caine being the gentleman he is, links your arm with his as you two head off to the grounds at night laughing and chatting away..who knew a suit could benefit you in so many ways?
Twisted Wonderland Headcannons:
The Housewardens finding out they have a secret/long lost sibling
Authors note: I was thinking about how in 2012-2017 it was so common for people to make their OCs a long lost sibling of a canon character and that's how I got this idea. Enjoy(?)
__________________________________
🌹Riddle Rosehearts♥️
-If Riddle had a sibling all of the sudden it would either be an younger sibling or half-sibling for this situation to make the most sense.
-In other words: For Riddle to have a sibling and not know of them it would either mean his father was cheating/left his mom for obvius reasons and got with someone else, OR, they'd have to be born before him and have gone somewhere before he was born.
-Now his reaction at first would definitelly be shock. Right after a lot of questions for his mother.
-Would also be really angry and perplexed on why he didn't know he had a sibling sooner
-Despite his anger and confusion he'd most likely see connecting with his sibling as an important responsability
🦁 Leona Kingscholar 🐾
-Now for this one, Leonas long lost sibling would need to be older or else it doesn't really work.
-I'd say either said sibling was actually born before him AND Farena but went missing and so the parents had to make another heir and then Leona came after, or, said sibling is actually the second born and went missing so their parents had Leona to try and fill in the void in their hearts from the dissapearance of the missing child.
-Leona would also defenitelly be suprised, as well as in disbelief
-If it turns out the lost sibling is still alive, Leona probably wouldn't really mind them, but also wouldn't really see the need to fully connect.
-(he cares for them a little, don't worry)
🐙Azul Ashengrotto🔮
-Either younger sibling, older sibling or half-sibling could work in this situation, especially considering Azuls dad is kinda out of the picture.
-Would choke on his food/drink when he finds out about them
-I feel like he'd be somewhat eager to get to know them, concidering he was a rather lonely child (He was probably one of those kids who'd ask for a younger sibling as a gift on the Holidays)
-if said sibling is anything like him they're probably gonna become bisness partners (yay~)
✨Kalim Al-Asim🥥
-Considering Kalim has a bunch of siblings this can go either way
-The long lost sibling probably got kidnaped because of their status, survived, and couldn't find their way home until now
-Boi would be devistated to find out that one of his siblings was just, forgotten like that! He'd also feel sorry for what they went through
-But hey, once they go through a DNA test, (to really make sure they're an Al-Asim) all will be good, Kalim will also check up on them here and there, making sure they're adjusting back to their home well
⚗️ Vil Schoenheit 👑
-this one is also kinda easy, since we do know that Vil has a dad, but there's not really any information about his mom
-They've probably just been living with Vils mom their whole lives and that's why he didn't know
-his reaction would be the most dramatic "what" you've ever heard.
-would be very set on meeting them, he'd also most likely be a very caring brother
-(that's it I don't have any more ideas for Vil-)
💙 Idia Shroud 💀
-The sibling would probably have to older than him and Ortho for this scenario to work
-Once he's told about a "long lost sibling" he'd at first think his parents are talking about the original Ortho, is confused and somewhat scared when he's told that the conversation is infact not about Ortho.
-once he's calm he'd call it an "Anime plot twist of the century"
-Said sibling probably didn't want to keep on the STYX family bisness and went out into the world to pursue a diffrent passion and that's why they never met.
-Idia isn't super pumped about meeting this "long lost sibling" of his but is defenitelly curius about them and what they decided to pursue in life
🐉 Malleus Draconia📜
-Also would have to be older than him
-Would not be the only one that's suprised, the whole Diasomnia gang would have questions
-The sibling was most likely abducted as a child and suddenly have turned up now, this one however would probably not need a DNA test as long as they have the classic Draconia horns.
-They'd probably also be autamatically respected by Sebek and Silver, meanwhile Lillia is trying to figure out when exactly they could have been born for this situation to make sense, would be a total dad to them afterwards.
Aprox. time of reading: 16 minutes
The environment was too heavy. The loud voices around the table, the fake laughs, the momentary shouts to give more emphasis to what they were saying... and certainly the way your stomach felt like you had been rolling on yourself for hours didn't help. Your husband's hand never left your thigh under the table, aware of the way your frown was slightly furrowed and your lips twisted in disgust.
"Doll, are you okay?" Jungkook asked for the third time that night, leaning over you to whisper in your ear.
"Yeah, I don't know" you shook your head, gulping thick. "I think I might be getting sick or something. It's okay" you patted his hand, caressing the tattoos on his fingers.
Jungkook smiled, taking your answer before he laid a kiss on your exposed shoulder and joined one of the conversations back.
It was so weird.
For a few days, you had been feeling queasy, losing appetite over food you'd have lost your mind over months back, feeling dizzy at random moments of the day -especially in the morning. It was shocking how your stamina seemed to last less, to the point that you'd fall asleep in places you would've never thought of. It wasn't like being in the hotel was the most entertaining thing for you, but it certainly wasn't as boring for you to end up sleeping on Jungkook's desk while you worked on some documents.
As much as you had tried to find that little thing that might've made your stomach upset, and influenced the way your body was working, you couldn't find anything out of usual.
"Earth calling Y/n" Jin joked, bringing you back to the conversation. "Are we so boring for you to ignore us?" he he reproached, pointing at you with the fork.
"I don't even know why you're surprised. She married Jungkook, at the end of the day" you heard Yoongi tease him back, licking his lips before he gave a sip of his drink filled with wine.
Jungkook's grip on your thigh tightened, drawing your eyes on him just so you could assure him for the fourth time that night that you were okay. Your soft smile was all he needed to relax again, and move back to allow the waiters to serve the food in front of you.
You didn't know if it was the way the fish was cooked, but you felt disgusted by its odor as soon as the plate was settled ahead of you.
"Y/n, are you okay? You look a bit pale" dared to ask, giving you a concerned look.
"Yes, I'm okay. It's just..." the sentence was interrupted by a gag reflex that you managed to stop before it was too obvious. Although you could only hold on to the noise from it, because the uncomfortable feeling stayed there for a second until you felt your stomach preparing for the second one "I'm sorry".
The chair squeaking under you, at the sudden movement to drag it away from the table to run away from there, made everyone look up to you. Until then, most of the people around the oval table were minding their business, but you made sure that attention would fall on Jungkook after your dramatic exit.
There wasn't anything as distressing as feeling the bile going up your throat until you were forced to take it out, kneeling in front of a toilet in the nearest restroom to the private room you all were in. For a few seconds, you dealt with your bangs and some locks making their way in front of your face, while you tried to keep the balance, until someone else got in charge of them. You'd recognize that gentle touch anywhere else, as he picked the hair that was bothering you with one hand and comforted you with the other on your back.
One last gag, one last spit, and you thought you were done. Your breathing was a bit faster from the effort, your eyes felt teary and you didn't want to imagine how bad you probably looked at that moment.
He handed you some paper, so you could clean your mouth as he flushed the toilet and waited for you to recover. He was squatting next to you, giving you that worried look that you recognized. Only one dangerous word from you, and he'd be setting the whole place on fire.
"Don't give me those eyes" you warned him, sighing as you sat on the top of the toilet.
"What eyes?" his tone sounded exhausting, and his body language was giving away how frustrated he actually was when he tilted his head.
"The eyes of someone who's about to kill somebody"
"Good, because I want to kill somebody" he replied. "You've been feeling bad all night. Or, let's better say, you've done well at pretending you were fine until now" he clicked his tongue. "What did you eat? Did you drink or eat something out of home? Did any of the food you ate this week taste weird?" he started asking, placing a hand subtly on your knee.
"I promise I'm okay" you insisted.
But that sentence most probably translated into something else in his brain. Jungkook stood up, extending his hand in front of you to help you get up.
Taking a deep breath, you got up from the place where you were sitting, feeling his fingers intertwining yours as he walked you outside. But instead of turning left to go back to the private area, he turned right, walking towards the exit. "Jungkook, the dinner..." you tried to stop him.
"Fuck the dinner" he huffed, "I'm taking you to the hospital".
It didn't matter how many times you insisted you were okay, his paranoia was winning the argument against you, and the slightest chance of you being poisoned some time in the week made all of his alarms blast at full volume in his head.
Jungkook insisted on you getting checked the first time you fell asleep next to him during one of the meetings. The next time was when you tripped on your feet when you went dizzy for a second. And that night was the last straw he needed to put a stop to your stubbornness.
You hated hospitals. The smell, the feeling of never being okay... you just couldn't stand being in those places. And the fact that you were dragged to one had you fuming all the way there, even if Jungkook tried to convince you that it was something you needed. It didn't matter how hard you wanted to stay mad, one look into his sparkly rounded eyes as he whispered that he'd feel relieved if he saw everything was okay and you were fumbled.
The doctor's first words after you got your tests done got you and Jungkook looking at each other, confused.
"When was the last time you had your period?" he asked, looking at you over his pasty squared glasses.
You pressed your lips together, trying to remember, and realizing you should've had your period two weeks back. It wasn't like your period was regular, but you never had delays of more than a week.
"A month ago" you whispered, with your voice lowering with every letter you pronounced.
"Everything is fine with your body, mrs. Jeon" he scoffed. "Really fine, actually".
As he handed you the papers with all of the results, you were sure your knowledge in Korean was deceiving you, inviting Jungkook to read them himself when he was aware of the shocked expression on your face.
"Positive" he whispered.
"Hmm. Yeah, it seems like that food that didn't sit well is actually a baby" the doctor joked. "Congratulations" he celebrated for the two of you, "or I'm sorry, I don't know".
You walked out first, bowing to him as you tried your best to walk on those heels when you were barely able to keep up with the weight of your own body. Jungkook read the results as he walked behind you, unbelieving of what his eyes were seeing.
"Y/n" he called you.
The tears in your eyes started rolling down your cheeks as you turned to him, being the only way to make that pressure on your chest feel a bit lighter. He hugged you tight, wrapping his arms around your body while you held onto his waist and hid your face on his chest.
"Shh" he tried to calm you down, moving his fingers through your locks.
"I'm pregnant" you whispered within hiccups. "We're going to have a kid".
If it weren't because, after three years of marriage, he knew you so well, he'd have thought that was bad news for you. Jungkook smiled against your temple, hugging you tighter and encouraging you to sob a bit louder.
Getting pregnant was an idea you got rid from throughout the years, it stopped being a topic of discussion between you two after several arguments where you felt insecure and undeserving of him, while he fought to show you the opposite. You had gone through different therapies, only to end up with the same disappointment every time. So seeing that "Positive" in your results was the closest you had ever been to witnessing a miracle.
"We're pregnant" you moved back, repeating it while looking him in the eyes.
"I know" Jungkook nodded, moving the locks away from your face and wiping the tears away as he stared into your bright eyes.
He had known you for quite some time, but he swore he hadn't seen the way his universe reflected in your eyes as clearly as it did that night.
Tumblr media
You were lying in the middle of your bed, looking up at him as he joined you in your bedroom after taking a shower and changing his suit for some comfortable clothes. You managed to deal with some of the shared responsibility that came along with Bangtan, until your belly started to grow enough to make it impossible for you to barely move. For your safety, and his mental peace, Jungkook came up with the idea of you staying at home -with him only leaving whenever he was actually needed somewhere. But, most of the time, it was Jungkook orbiting around you and pleasing your needs before you could even be vocal about them.
That day, he had to take a morning trip to Seoul, forcing him to spend most of his day outside -which translated in him being present through texts or video calls several times throughout the day, until he managed to go back home.
He sat behind you, extending his legs around your hips so you were almost trapped in his body when his chest rested on your back and his chin on your shoulder.
"How are my two precious treasures doing?" his voice sounded muffled against your skin, with the vibrations tickling on your skin and making your body squirm with a giggle.
"Treasure number one is okay" you assured about yourself, "While treasure number two keeps making it clear he wants to be as a restless ass as his father" you joked.
"That's my boy" he cheered, receiving a playful jab on his stomach from you.
Still smiling, Jungkook leaned to kiss the curve of your shoulder over one of his oversized t-shirt, slowly moving up to your neck. You know he didn't do it with any intention of taking it further, they were more like caring pecks, but your body reacted to them as if he had dug through one of the most erogenous corners in your body.
"What?" he inquired, looking at you over your shoulder.
"Nothing" you tried to shrug it off, caressing his hands that almost covered your whole belly.
"Is it because I did..." he gave another kiss, making sure his lips would be in contact with your skin as he reached the collar of his t-shirt "this?".
"Kook" you warned him.
You didn't know if it were going crazy, or if it was because Jungkook had barely touched you that way ever since the belly started growing a significant amount, that made him be concerned of the slightest move you could make -which translated in more than two months going no further than some make out sessions that always left you over the edge. And while you appreciated how caring he was, it was driving you insane the distance he set for you two.
"Don't start something you won't finish" you asked him, tilting your head.
"Hmm, who said I won't finish it?" he challenged, rubbing his lips over the arch of your ear. After dropping a kiss on the sensitive skin behind it, he whispered "I know I said I would try to keep my hands to myself, but I can't do it anymore".
He moved his legs under yours, hooking your knees with his to pull them apart.
"How bad do you want me?" you teased, encouraged by the way his hands advanced over your inner thighs at a slow pace.
"Well, you have no idea of the many times I've ended up jerking off in the bathroom after seeing you naked, I think that should...".
A loud chuckle interrupted him, having you pushing him and kicking his arm "It'd have been enough just saying that you want me bad".
"I want you so bad, baby" he purred against your lips.
Shutting the moan that was coming out of your mouth at the sudden touch of his cold fingers with your folds, Jungkook linked your lips together. Your hips reacted automatically to his touch, grinding against his digits when they found their way to your clit, and that gentle rub made you ascend to the seventh heaven, squirming at every small touch he was giving you. Thatconstant sway of hips was also pushing him to the limit, feeling your ass pressing against his hard dick every time you tried to reach for tighter fictions against his fingerprints.
"You're so wet" he mumbled against your lips, tracing your lips with his tongue before he kissed you again. "How did I even think going without fucking you for months?".
"Because you're a dumbass" you gasped, back arching at the sudden throb in your core.
"Are you going to cum so fast?" his mocking tone only added fuel to the fire that was starting in your lower stomach, and that had you pulling the sheets underneath your feet away.
"Kook, please" the barely powerful fear of him leaving you hanging had you begging before you had to, making him scoff.
"I got you, babe" he assured, lowering his left hand from your neck to one of your breasts, softly pressing the palm of his hands against the hard nipple. "Cum for me, hmm? Get yourself ready, because you'll be coming on my cock next".
His lewd words were the final push you needed to let yourself go, embracing that desperate feeling that you were craving so much for the past few weeks, losing any type of control all over your body and letting the pleasure speak by itself when your back arched against his chest in sync with a whine.
You still thought Jungkook was messing with you, and that he'd help you clean yourself and change clothes as he helped you stand up and started undressing you. But his fingers moved over your skin as if he wanted to set you on fire again, rubbing the reverse of his digits every time he tried to pull one of the fabrics away.
"We'll be careful" his eyes looked deep into yours, as if he were promising his reflection that you'd both take it easy, rather than you. "We don't want to hurt Ujin".
You had many questions, started by that name, but you thought it was something to discuss later and keep the focus on what you two wanted to do.
Jungkook guided you back towards the bed, helping you move over the mattress until you laid on your side. He joined next to you right after, pinching your chin and kissing your forehead before he moved your legs over hip.
He had been deep diving for too long on the Internet about what were the safest sex positions, afraid that the moment of you two being unable to hold back your needs came.
Your pussy clenched at the first feeling of his tip against your folds, feeling your clit throb only at the idea of being stretched out by him again.
"If it hurts, or if it bothers you, I'll stop" he squeezed the skin under your chin, warning you.
Your lip was trapped under your upper teeth as he slowly rammed into you, stretching your walls inch by inch until you two were linked together completely, announcing it with a heavy gasp. Jungkook warned you with his eyes, announcing his movements before you nodded.
Feeling him go all the way out, to pound back into you as slowly had to be one of the most erotic thoughts you had ever felt, feeling all the hairs in your body raise whenever his tip teased its way out to then rub against the deepest spot it could reach in your guts.
His thumb kept tracing circles on your skin, holding you by your knees while his other hand was holding the curve on your neck softly, assuring himself that you were comfortable in that position, while you sneaked yours at the top of his head, playing with his hair as you felt the pleasure building up, closer to blow at any moment as his thrust sped up.
"Does it feel good?" his voice sounded raspy, yet he gave you such a gentle look that made your pussy and your heart throb at the same time.
"Yes, don't stop" you begged, pressing your palm against your clit.
"I missed so much how warm you feel around me, doll" Jungkook moaned, moving his head back for a moment before his eyes were back on yours. "You always take me so good".
With a more firm grip on your neck, he made sure your body didn't bounce too harshly for you to end up hurt, controlling the power of his thrusts. Changing the angle of his hips, he moved at the same steady pace, rubbing his tip against one particular spot that made your toes instantly curl.
You wouldn't last too long.
The touch of his hands, the sound of his groans and moans, and how his dick stretched out so well had you gripping the pillow cover beneath his head. And Jungkook loved that look on your face, that particular expression you made when you were ready to give him the world and everything he could ask for, too drunk in pleasure to think straight, giving you a tiny glimpse of how he felt around you every single day since he met you.
Your walls took him in, clenching around his length tight as if you didn't want him to leave ever again, at the same time your eyes rolled to the back and your jaw clenched with a prolonged moan. He went right after you, spilling his seed deep inside your cunt, feeling more connected to you than ever before.
As you two recovered, Jungkook stayed hugged to you, playing with your hair and smiling among shaky breaths.
"If you take so long to lay a hand on me ever again, I'll file for divorce" you joked, with a daydreaming smile curving on your face.
Tumblr media
That wasn't what you were screaming when you two bursted inside the emergency room in the hospital, to later be dragged on a wheel chair to your room. In fact, you kept screaming how you wouldn't allow him to lay a hand on you ever again, or how unfair it was that you were the only one going through all the pain while all he did was stand there. You kept squirming once you were moved to a bed, groaning and whining at the intense pain in your lower stomach that was only preparing you for the pain you'd end up going through once Ujin decided to step into the real world and stop living peacefully inside of you.
Although it all lost sense, it all didn't matter, it was as if that pain had only been a nightmare when the nurse wrapped your baby in a towel and handed it to you, followed up close by his protective father's gaze until he was lying in your arms.
You remembered the way you cried when you were first told you were pregnant, and how you got so emotional whenever you saw him moving through that tiny television next to you, but it still didn't feel real. All those months you didn't get your hopes up, you didn't believe it'd end up with you holding your baby tight against your chest, while Jungkook snaked a hand behind your neck and his palm gently covered Ujin's head.
"His hands are so tiny" you sobbed, moving your index finger over his tiny hand. "He's so tiny".
"You made it, babe" Jungkook kissed the top of your head.
"We made it" you rubbed your head against his cheek, unable to control the tears from falling down at how full you were feeling in that particular moment.
The nurse smiled at you, standing at one side of your bed before asking "Do you know how you will name him?"
Jungkook looked down at you, receiving a proud smile before you took a breath and answered: "Our little blessing, Ujin".
Locked Out - Pt.2
Tumblr media
group: xikers
pair: neighbour!minjae x fem!reader
genre: college au, fluff, pining(?), boy next door(?)
word count: 3.2k
content: no content warnings teehee ♡ (unless the existence of food is a content warning?)
a/n: read part 1 HERE
After finishing your food, you found yourself sitting down with Minjae on his couch, just chatting about this and that. The conversation just seemed to flow so naturally.
“So why exactly were you locked out of your own dorm?” He smirked, stretching an arm across the back of the small couch. You chuckled embarrassedly and dropped your head.
“Well…obviously I forgot my key when I was leaving for class this morning. That wouldn't have been a problem if it didn't just so happen to be the day my roommate was going to visit her sister. Overnight.”
“Oof.” He said, smiling.
“BIG oof. So anyway, she locked the door when she left while I was at class. Then I went to work, and when I finally got home- no key.”
He chuckled lightly into his hand, making you gasp and giggle back.
“Hey, don't laugh!” You smacked his arm playfully.
“I'm sorry!....It's kinda funny, though.”
You scoffed dramatically, not in a space at all to act upset with a massive smile stretched across your face.
“...That's when you showed up…” You smiled softly at him and his laughter dried up as a slightly flustered expression came across his face. “So, thank you.”
He suddenly cleared his throat and turned his head away, the red tips of his ears peeking out from behind his hair.
“Y-Yeah, o-of course…” He stuttered and you couldn't help but find his shy persona endearing.
“So…Minjae.”
“Hmm?” His head snapped back up to look over at you, his voice cracking slightly as he hummed.
“What's your major? I've never seen you around on campus before.”
The pink slowly faded from his cheeks as he responded.
“Music production! So, like composing and lyric writing, and I even do some performance based classes.”
You felt a strange tickle in your stomach as he said that and thought: “Wow. Okay, that's kind of attractive.”
“Woah, so can you like play the guitar and stuff?”
He let out a soft giggle.
“Yup. And the piano. And I can sing too.”
You couldn't help but chuckle at his sudden cockiness.
“Wow, and you're so humble too~” You said sarcastically, earning a bellowing laugh from him and a smile in a way that pushed up his cheeks and bottom eyelids, almost completely hiding his pretty brown eyes from sight. God, it was charming.
After a few seconds, he sighed and looked back at you.
“What about you, y/n?”
You thought for a moment before sighing with a wry smile growing on your face.
“Just…business, I guess, but it’s not really what I want to do.”
He leaned forward slightly, eyes showing complete, genuine interest in what you were saying.
“I actually don't know what I want to do…at all…”
His eyes turned empathetic as you continued.
“I-It's silly-”
“It's not. Not at all.”
You stared back into his deep, round eyes as he spoke with a firm yet gentle tone.
“Believe me, you have no idea how many different things I tried before I decided on music production. I think I switched majors like at least 4 times before landing where I am now.”
Your heart suddenly jumped as he said those words and your eyes went wide.
“4 TIMES?? What year are you in!?”
He looked taken aback for a moment before stuttering out his response.
“Um…well I'm in my first year as a music production major…but my third year in college in general.”
Your mouth fell open slightly.
“You're…21..?”
He nodded softly.
“You're not?” He asked in almost a whispered tone.
“NO?? I'm 19!”
“Oh! Wow. I didn't know they mixed up the ages when assigning us to dorm buildings.”
“Me neither!??!”
The two of you just stared at each other for a moment before bursting into laughter. You were the first one to speak up through your giggles.
“You've been going here for 3 years and you didn't know either??”
He chuckled for a few seconds longer before taking in a breath and responding.
“I don't know! My roommates have always been in the same year as me and I'm not really the type to socialise with the neighbours.”
You giggled softly and he smiled widely at you, his eyes holding emotions you couldn't quite place, and you couldn't deny how much you wanted to just dive into them and find out every little detail about him.
“...Well I'm glad you decided to socialise with me, at least…” You mumbled before you even thought about it, shifting your arm to lay on the back of the couch as well, your fingers dangerously close to brushing against his.
He looked down at the floor with a shy smile before bringing his soft gaze back to you.
“...Me too…You're really cool, y/n…” Your heart skipping when he said your name was already more than you expected, but when the tip of his index finger brushed against your knuckle oh so lightly, it was as if a lightning bolt just ran through your body. Before you knew it, you'd yanked your hand away and were standing upright, fighting a blush quickly overtaking your face. Silence passed between you two for a few seconds, although it felt much much longer as you stood facing away and rubbing at the spot on your knuckle that he had touched.
“...Um…S-Sorry, I thought-”
“I-It's okay! I just…remembered I have class again in the morning, y’know?” You chuckled shyly, turning to face him despite the insanely obvious redness in your cheeks, which he definitely noticed as his cheeks slowly began taking on the same red colour.
“O-oh! R-Right!” He quickly stood, looking around and thinking for a moment.
“Uh…You can sleep in my bed if you want.”
Your blush only deepened as you stared at him, his words replaying in your head endlessly.
“...Huh?”
He just stared at you for a moment slightly confused before it hit him what you were thinking, his face growing so red that you could almost see the steam coming out of his ears.
“OH! NO! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT, GOD NO!” He slapped his hands over his face and you could've sworn you heard him mutter “idiot!” before sighing and dropping his hands again. “I meant…you sleep in my bed, and I sleep on the couch.”
“O-oh! That makes more sense…” You giggled shyly, looking down at the ground. “But…I'm fine sleeping on the couch y'know? I don't wanna like steal your bed…”
“It's fine!” He hurriedly responded. “Really! I don't mind.”
You looked at the small couch guiltily.
“...It doesn't look very comfortable…”
He followed you gaze to the couch before looking across the room and then back to you.
“Then…I can sleep in Hunter's bed! Would that make you feel better? And before you say anything, he won’t mind, so don't worry.”
You couldn't help but giggle about how he seemingly knew the next way in which you'd protest. He'd successfully removed every reason for you to deny his offer and all you could do was smile up at him.
“Well…how can I say no to that?” You giggled and he smiled widely, looking back at you with that adoring look once again and you couldn't help but feel your heart flutter.
“...A-Anyways…” you mumbled, cheeks almost hurting from how much you'd smiled already tonight, “I'll um…go to sleep, if that's okay?”
He nodded, smiling.
“Y-Yeah! Yeah, of course.”
“Is there anything you need from your room before I go in?”
He thought for a moment before shaking his head.
“You're all good.” He said softly. “It's just that door on the left, there.”
“Thanks…” You muttered softly, picking your bag up and carrying it over to the door. You heard him sigh and mumble something to himself as you entered his room, but you couldn't make it out, and honestly you were too distracted to care. It was like a million different emotions were running through you at once. You felt weird but also giddy, excited, wired, flustered, happy, anxious, nervous, shy, etc etc. Pretty much any feeling you could imagine.
You softly shut the door to his bedroom and looked around, feeling strange to be in a boy's- well…man’s bedroom, especially without the man himself present. But it also felt strangely comfortable; not all that messy but also not insanely spotless so at least you could rule out psychopath, just a few shirts here and there and a used cup sitting on one of the side tables by the bed.
You set your bag down in the corner and rummaged through to find the shirt you wore to class stuffed into the bottom, thanking your past self for feeling lazy and just throwing on a pair of jeans and a kind of oversized shirt earlier that morning. You hastily changed out of your work clothes and into the shirt, before realising you'd either have to sleep in jeans, which honestly sounded like a nightmare, or sleep in Minjae's bed in just your shirt with no pants on, the thought making your stomach flip as you stared over at the soft grey duvet blanketing his bed. You sighed, ignoring the heat re-entering your cheeks, and decided on the latter option, placing your phone on the end table before climbing into the bed. You sunk into the mattress, the bed being surprisingly comfier than your one back in your room. “I thought we all got the same bed??” You thought, pondering how his felt so much softer. You turned over onto your side and pressed your face into the pillow. “Even this pillow is softer…” You took a deep breath in, the fabric of his sheets smelling exactly how you thought they would: like a man. Y'know, sandalwood, musk, maybe a hint of lavender and fabric softener. It was nice. It had really been a while since you'd been in a man’s bed. You thought back to your exes and shuddered before flipping over onto your other side and reaching to turn the lamp off, the room being consumed with darkness as you sighed and let your eyes close softly.
The harsh sound of a phone alarm pierced your dreams and your eyes fluttered open, hand already reaching for your phone on the side tables to silence what had disturbed your slumber. You tapped the screen and rolled over, groaning as you buried your face into the pillow. It took breathing in the unfamiliar scented sheets for you to finally remember where you were, quickly shooting up and looking around the dim room, lit only by a weak streak of light coming from under the door. “Minjae's room. Minjae.”
“...It's way too early to feel this flustered…” You mumbled as you lightly slapped your slowly reddening cheeks, before swinging your legs over the edge of the bed and unsteadily picking yourself up. Yawning softly, you grabbed your phone and turned it on to see the time, squinting as the bright, white light filled your vision. “7am…I wonder if she's home yet…”
You quickly slipped your jeans from yesterday back on before creeping out of the room, your eyes meeting Minjae's back as he rummaged through the fridge. You stepped forward shyly.
“Um…Morning…”
“Oh!” He turned around, another container of food in his hands that he then placed on the counter. “H-Hey…um…sleep okay?”
You nodded softly, stepping up to the counter to see what he had.
“When is your class?” He pried open the container of what seemed to be scrambled eggs bacon before popping it into the microwave.
“O-Oh..9am. But my roommate should be home by then, if she isn't already.”
He smiled softly, eyes dropping to the ground.
“I see…”
A slightly awkward silence passed between the two of you, only being broken by the sound of the microwave beeping and him taking out his breakfast.
“Hungry?” He asked as he placed the warmed up breakfast on the counter and retrieved a fork from a drawer.
“Oh, no no. It's okay, you have it. I already ate your curry yesterday…”
He chuckled softly.
“I don't mind, y’know? Plus I'd already eaten dinner by the time you showed up.” He pushed the container towards you a small amount and you quickly pushed it back.
“N-No, really, you eat. I'll have something quick before class.”
He smiled and nodded before finally digging into the eggs. You took a good look at his face, more or less the same as yesterday; soft hair falling effortlessly over his forehead, thick black glasses sat low on his nose, with the addition of his skin seeming glossier than yesterday and you suddenly wondered if he had a morning skin care routine or something. “That would explain why he's so…beautiful…”
You thought, turning away and looking down as you fidgeted with the hem of your shirt. He was the same as yesterday, but with a certain ‘morning’ charm to him, not to mention the extra roughness his already deep voice had taken on that you were trying so desperately to ignore since the moment he'd opened his mouth to greet you a few minutes ago.
“So,” He suddenly snapped you out of your trance and you looked back over to him just in time to see his eyes trail down to your legs and back up to your face in a way that made your heart stutter, “was it comfortable sleeping in jeans?” He said with a slight chuckle. You felt a slight warmth enter your face as you remembered your whole inner conflict from last night.
“O-Oh, I didn't…sleep in these…”
He looked slightly confused for a moment before smirking.
“Did you really sleep in that business-y pencil skirt that I'm assuming was your work uniform?” He shovelled another bite of egg into his mouth, keeping his eyes on you as your face only grew redder.
“N-No…”
He chewed slowly and you could practically see the thoughts in his head trying to put things together.
“...Do you…carry spare clothes with you…?”
You shook your head before burying your face in your hands. You couldn't see his face but you could easily hear the fluster in his voice as it clicked in his head.
“...Oh…f-forget I asked…”
You felt so embarrassed. You were sure he thought you were a weirdo for treating his bed like it was yours. Either that or incredibly naive and innocent. “...Totally just ruined my chances-…”
You blushed even harder, something you didn't even think was possible.
“...Why did I think that…? I just met this guy!”
Your brain felt like a battlezone as you took a deep breath in and out before sliding your hands off of your face, only to turn and see his face also littered with a splotchy redness that you couldn't deny was so cute.
Luckily your phone that you had placed in your jean pocket vibrated, breaking the awkward silence that felt like a crushing weight that you couldn't hold for much longer. You quickly fished it out, seeing a text from your roommate reading:
“I’m home and I brought breakfast if you want.”
You sighed and quickly typed a response before slipping your phone back in your pocket.
“I should go. My roommate just got home.”
You smiled shyly as he finished up his food and pushed the container to the side before clearing his throat.
“O-Oh, y-yeah yeah…of course…”
The air still felt awkward and tense, like there were words between the two of you going unsaid, either one of you too afraid to speak them aloud.
“I'll...just grab my stuff.”
He nodded and you walked back to his room to grab your bag, feeling a weird pressure in your chest that you couldn’t quite place.
You hauled the bag back to where he was now standing by the door, ready to see you out. You slowed to a stop in front of him, looking down at the floor and fidgeting with the strap of your bag.
“So…um…thanks. For everything.”
You looked up at him with a soft shy smile and he turned away as soon as you made eye contact, his ears quickly beginning to burn up.
“O-Of course! I-I couldn't just leave you out there…”
You giggled softly and he turned back, chuckling along and scratching the back of his neck shyly.
“Hey…if you ever need a place to stay again for…whatever reason…I'll always welcome you here.”
Your smile grew at his words.
“Thank you, Minjae…” You said quietly, your eyes taking in his pretty features as you felt your hand almost unconsciously grab your phone from your pocket.
“If it's okay…can I get your number?” You felt the blush return to your cheeks again as his eyes slowly widened. “J-Just in case…” You quickly stuttered out as if trying to soften the flirty tension your own words created.
He nodded and carefully took your phone into his hands, you having opened up your contacts so he could add his in.
“...Just in case…” He repeated in almost a whisper, fighting a smile pulling at his lips.
After a few quiet seconds of him tapping at your phone screen, he handed it back, and you just stared for a moment at the contact screen reading 'Minjae', the sight making you smile for some reason.
“Well…” you put your phone back in your pocket and smiled at him, “I should get going…”
You slowly turned and opened the door, stepping into the much colder hallway compared to the warmth of standing next to him.
“S-See you lat-”
“W-Wait!” His hand suddenly came around and grasped the edge of the door just as you began closing it, pulling it back open enough for him to look you in the eyes. You just gazed up at him, wide eyed from being so caught off guard.
“...Are you…d-do you…” he stuttered and you blinked nervously, waiting for him to continue.
“D-Do you have a boyfriend?” When he finally got the words out, you felt your breath catch and your heart almost stop. You couldn't fight the immense heat immediately taking over your face, but you felt comfortable in knowing that his looked just about as red as yours.
The light that entered his eyes as you shook your head made you melt with how endearing he seemed, a wide smile he couldn't hide quickly overtaking his features.
“O-oh! W-Well…g-good to know!” He exclaimed almost a little too loudly, forcing you to stifle a giggle. “I-I'll see you later then, y/n…”
You nodded with a smile and he pushed the door closed, leaving you in a sort of daze in the hallway, staring a hole into his door.
“Uh…earth to y/n?” You were startled by a sudden voice behind you and turned to see your roommate poking her head out of your dorm room. “Woah, dude, are you okay? Your face is super red.”
You felt embarrassed and shy, but all of that was overtaken by the unfiltered joy and excitement overtaking your heart and mind.
“Mhmm…I'm awesome…”
"What does this mean?" I stared at the piece of paper clutched tightly in my hand. My mom's eyes held an unmistakable unease as she replied, her voice tinged with worry, "This is our plane ticket to England."
Excitement bubbled up inside me as I glanced at the tickets. "We're going to England for a vacation! I had a feeling this year would be different. Do you think we can visit Paris while we're there? I heard it's just a quick train ride away."
My mom chuckled nervously, her laughter quivering. "That's the thing, honey, this isn't just a vacation; it's permanent."
My brows furrowed as I examined the ticket more closely, finally noticing the bold "ONE WAY" printed in the upper right corner. "What do you mean, one way?" Confusion washed over me, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
"It means we'll be officially moving to England. I applied for a new job there, and I got it," my mom explained as if it were the most natural thing in the world. She saw the panic in my eyes and hurriedly added, "I understand it's sudden, but I think this will be a great change for us. I've even found a fantastic school with an amazing film program that I know you'll love."
My mind raced. "I don't even know what to say. Why are you telling me this now?" My whole life was here in America, and the idea of packing up and moving to another country was almost too much to bear.
"Honey, I know it's sudden, but they called me today, and they need me to start immediately. That's why we have to leave tomorrow."
"Tomorrow! I don't even have time to pack, let alone say goodbye to my friends. We can't just uproot ourselves from LA and head to England." I looked around our apartment, a cozy haven that had been my home for the past seven years. It felt like things were finally getting back to normal.
I glanced at the ticket again and saw the fine print: Departing from LAX tomorrow at 10:45 am. "I should really start wearing my glasses," I muttered under my breath.
My mom tried to reassure me, "Everything will work out fine. I've hired movers to come during the week and help ship the rest of our stuff. Tonight, all we need to do is pack our personal things and head to the airport first thing in the morning."
I felt like I wanted to argue, but then I saw how tired my mom looked. Her face seemed really worn out, and she had a tired look in her eyes. It made me realize that maybe I hadn't been paying enough attention to how she was feeling lately.
I decided not to bring up my concerns because I didn't want to make things worse. I didn't want to fight with my mom when she already seemed so tired and stressed. So, I chose to keep quiet and let it go for now, even though I still had my worries.
As we stepped off the plane in London, the dark grey skies clouded my vision, and the unfamiliar air filled my lungs. Instantly, I began to miss home. With half of my life packed away in two large suitcases and three duffel bags, this was definitely going to take some getting used to.
"Have your other bags arrived yet?" my mom asked, her eyes darting to the time on her wrist.
"Sorry for making you wait," I replied with a sigh. "When you're packing your whole life into a bag, it tends to take a while." I was far from being in a good mood after only managing to grab a couple of hours of sleep, spending one of them writing an overly dramatic paragraph to my friends about where I'd be for the next few years.
"There's no need to get sassy with me, Y/n," my mom chided. "I'm just worried about the time. I don't want to be late for the shuttle. If we miss this one, the next won't be for another three hours. And I'm sure you don't want to spend that much time at the airport."
Before I could respond, I spotted my color-coded bags moving slowly along the conveyor belt. I collected them and loaded them onto a trolley, then couldn't help but add a mockingly sweet tone, "Now, we can go."
My mom led the way to the shuttle, looking a bit lost in the bustling airport. She approached a stranger for directions, and I listened intently, realizing I needed to get used to the distinct accent. My mom thanked the stranger urgently, and we hurriedly made our way to catch the shuttle, leaving behind the life I'd known in America.
Arriving at our new home in England I couldn't help that there was a mix of excitement and trepidation. I had seen pictures of the place, but it was entirely different to stand in front of it, knowing that it was going to be our home for the foreseeable future. My mom, ever the optimist, had put in tremendous effort to ensure it was the best flat on the block.
As we approached the building, I noticed the quaint charm of the neighborhood. Rows of terraced houses with colorful front doors lined the cobblestone streets. It was a far cry from the sunny, palm tree-lined avenues of Los Angeles that I had called home.
My mom had informed me earlier that her new job had provided relocation money, and she had spent hours researching and visiting potential flats to find one that met all our needs. She was determined to make this transition as smooth as possible for me, especially since I wasn't exactly thrilled about changing schools.
The flat itself was a cozy two-bedroom apartment on the top floor of a charming Victorian building. It had large windows that let in plenty of natural light, and I could see the spires of an old church in the distance. The living room had plush sofas, and I could just imagine the walls being adorned with artwork from home. She had even managed to find a flat with a small balcony where we could enjoy tea on sunny afternoons.
As we stepped inside, I couldn't help but be impressed by how homely it felt, despite being in a foreign country. My room, though smaller than what I was used to, had a window overlooking the quiet street below. I packed some of my posters and photographs from our life in LA, making it feel like a small piece of home.
As I unpacked my belongings, I couldn't help but reflect on the whirlwind of changes that had brought us here. My parents' divorce had been a long and sometimes painful process, but with me finishing up middle school, it seemed like the right time for a fresh start.
In my mom's perspective, this move was a chance for something new and exciting, a way to turn the page on a difficult chapter in our lives. But for me, I felt like I was just along for the ride, caught up in the decisions made by the adults in my life. It wasn't easy to accept that we were starting over in a completely different country.
While I tried to look on the bright side, I couldn't shake the feeling that my mom should have told me about it much sooner. The truth was that I was still deeply hurt and confused.
But as I glanced out the window of our new flat and saw the quaint streets of our new neighborhood, I knew that, in time, I would find my place in this new chapter of our lives. Change might not come overnight, but I was determined to make the most of it and find the silver lining in our fresh start.
—-----
A whole week had passed, and I swear my boredom had reached Olympic levels. Our furniture from LA finally showed up a few days ago, and let me tell you, I became the world champion of room redecorating in record time. But apart from that impressive feat, my life had all the excitement of a cardboard box. School isn't kicking off until Monday, which gives me a gentle nudge that I should probably check out the film program my mom's been raving about.
Feeling all organized and responsible, I sat down and sketched out the route from our place to the school. It's like a 20-minute walk, which I can totally handle once I get the hang of it. But if I'm feeling a bit lazy (which happens, like, all the time), there's a nifty 10-minute bus ride option. Plus, my mom's still knee-deep in paperwork to send our car overseas, so it's official I'm becoming a bus pro.
Then I checked out the school's website, and the film program doesn't look half bad. They've got this YouTube channel packed with short films that are more interesting than binge-watching cat videos. And here's the real kicker they've got a partnership with Netflix! I mean, seriously, how did they manage to pull that off? They're talking about workshops and internships, and I'm just here thinking,
"Who's the magician that got Netflix on board?" That seriously is impressive.
Looking out of the window, I couldn't believe my luck the sun was actually shining for once! After days of nothing but gray skies, it felt like a small miracle. I was starting to understand that sunny days were a rare commodity in this place. So, I thought, why not make the most of it while I could?
I swapped out my usual outfit for a pair of comfy shorts and a cool graphic tee. In a flash, I was out the door, ready to savor every bit of that precious sunshine.
As I continued my stroll through the neighborhood, I stumbled upon a charming park nestled amidst the houses. The sunlit meadow was dotted with people, and what caught my eye was the number of folks out and about with their dogs. It was becoming evident that this was definitely a big dog-loving community, and the park was their social hub.
I watched as playful pups frolicked, tails wagging with unbridled enthusiasm, and their owners chatted amicably, forming a tight-knit community within the community. It felt heartwarming to witness such camaraderie, and I couldn't help but smile at the sight.
I stumbled upon the perfect photo opportunity, one that would fit perfectly in my collection. I'd forgotten my camera at home, but my trusty phone would have to do. As I aimed to capture the moment, an unexpected collision sent my phone tumbling to the ground.
Before I could get a word out, the other person beat me to the punch. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going," he said, hastily bending down to retrieve both of our phones. It turned out he had dropped his phone as well.
I felt a flush of embarrassment creeping up. "No, no, it's alright. It was my fault for standing right in the middle of the walkway," I replied, cheeks tinged with a hint of red.
He handed back my phone with an apologetic smile. "Sorry about that. Hopefully, it didn't crack," he said, his own cheeks taking on a shade of pink.
I shook my head, trying to conceal my own embarrassment. "No big deal. You might have done me a favor, actually. It's about time I got a new phone, and this could be the perfect excuse," I quipped, waving my phone playfully. The boy chuckled warmly.
"Thanks for not making me feel awful about it," he admitted, appearing relieved. "I'm Charlie, by the way." He extended his hand, and I shook it with a friendly smile.
I responded, "I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you, Charlie." The friendly atmosphere that had enveloped us earlier seemed to dissipate, leaving an awkward silence in its wake.
Charlie finally broke the silence, his voice tinged with shyness. "Sorry, but I can't help but notice the accent..."
I smiled, realizing his curiosity. "Oh yeah, I'm from America. We just moved here last week, right down the block," I stated, hoping to ease the awkwardness.
Charlie's eyes lit up with excitement. "Right down the block! I live right down that way." I couldn't help but feel my own excitement grow.
"I live where the new flats were built, I think they're called the Avalone Suites or something," I mentioned. Charlie's face instantly lit up with recognition.
"I live right across from you! Everyone around the block has been raving about the new building," he exclaimed,
As Charlie and I walked back to my apartment, he chatted animatedly about the neighborhood, sharing tidbits about the local shops, nearby parks, and the best places to grab a bite. It was clear he was friendly and genuinely excited to have a new neighbor.
During our conversation, we made another delightful discovery – we were both going to the same school. It was a pleasant surprise that eased my earlier concerns about not knowing anyone in this new place.
By the time we reached my apartment building, Charlie had almost talked my ear off, but I didn't mind one bit. With a warm smile, I turned to him and said, "Thanks for walking me back, Charlie. I guess I won't be starting school completely alone."
Charlie grinned in response; his eyes filled with genuine friendliness. "Anytime, Y/N. I'm looking forward to seeing you at school."
We added each other on each other's socials before we parted ways.
A Ghost Of A Man (PART FOUR)
Summary: With the folder she found at the antique fair, the reader goes to see Tommy once again. Will he open up about what happened the night he died?
Warnings: Language, supernatural themes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had been a few hours since you arrived back home. Sitting on the sofa daydreaming, the TV on in the background you had the folder you found a few days ago on your lap, when all of a sudden the front door swung open.
" Fuck! Louise you scared me" you said as the folder fell to the ground.
" Hello to you too, you didn't text me by the way"
"I'm sorry, shit I've been such a crappy friend these past few days" you apologised as you started picking up the folder and it's contents, balancing your other hand in the air.
"What the hell is that?" she said as she noticed a tea bag resting precariously on your hand.
"Oh, it's just this chamomile thing for the pain" you said, oblivious to how ridiculous you looked.
"A chamomile tea bag" she laughed raising her hands in the air then dramatically slapping both her thighs with them " You know what? I'm not even gonna ask where you got this idea from" she said uncontrollably laughing.
" Alright, alright.." you replied not being able to hold back a laugh. " I was told it was good for injuries" you added as you adjusted the tea bags position.
Still laughing she sat down beside you " How is it anyway?" She asked as she nodded towards your hand.
" It's fine just need to rest it"
" Didn't go get it checked out did you?" She said with a huff. "Thought you said you were no longer using them" she added pointing to the folder in your hand.
" I'm not, just thought I'd read through it all again"
" So... what is it about this Tommy Shelby that has got my friend so captivated?" She asked moving closer to you to look at the folder.
" I'm not captivated" you said rolling your eyes fidgeting slightly. " I don't know... I just think there's more to him. Yes he was dangerous and menacing, but there's something else...I don't think he was solely a bad man".
" Not many people a purely evil, I'm sure there was good in him too" she said with a small smile, seeing that you was quite taken by this mysterious man. " Do you have a picture of him?
" Erh yeh, I do actually" you answered looking through the papers as you pulled out the picture the old lady gave you.
" Which one's Thomas Shelby?"
" That's him" you replied as you pointed to him on the old black and white picture.
" Ahh so that's why you're so captivated" She giggled nudging your arm with hers. " He may have been a dangerous man, but my god...was he hot" she said as she took the picture from you. "Mr moustache is pretty fine too" she giggled again.
Laughing you looked at the picture with her. He was good-looking, no one could deny that. He looked the same as he did in the picture, piercing eyes, sharp jaw, muscular build, impeccable sense of style. Only his complexion was different, a stark reminder of what he was now. Was he still the same man as the one in the picture you wondered, or had the years made him too bitter and angry. What if you could help him, help him change his fate, give him a second chance. Would you do that for a man as dangerous as Tommy Shelby?
The next day you decided to ditch going to Uni altogether. You planned to go back to the building back to Tommy once again. Standing In front of the mirror you pulled on your long black coat, you had actually made an effort today. Now free of its bandages and feeling far less sore, your hand seemed to be healing quickly. With the folder on Thomas and the Peaky Blinders under your arm you walked out the front door and headed for the bus stop.
Walking up the old wooden stairs for the third time, you noticed Tommy sitting on one of the secretary desks facing the large window that looked out onto the street below.
"Back so soon?" He said turning to face you.
Feeling slightly embarrassed that you had returned so quickly, you stayed near the staircase closing your open coat around you.
" I can leave if you want?" You said in quiet voice as you started to feel self-conscious at your choice of clothing, his evident glare looking at you from head to toe.
" What's that ?" He said pointing to the folder under your arm ignoring your question, a small smirk playing at the corners of his mouth as he watched your restlessness.
" Oh, yes, It's Mr Campbell's folder" you replied slowly making your way closer to him
" Hmm" he nodded as you was now right beside him.
" Thought you would like to see it" you said as you placed it on the table beside him.
Tommy reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a cigarette from a silver case, placing it between his lips then lighting it, all the time not losing eye contact with you once. Why did he stare so much you wondered as you tried to avoid his challenging glare, was he trying to scare you off again? Still sitting on the edge of the desk now with the lit cigarette loosely resting between his lips he turned to look at the folder beside him, opening it his fingers traced over the various documents. A little overly enthusiastically you pulled out the photo of him and his family from within the folder, moving his hand out the way. His cold fingers felt polar opposite to your warm hands and with that Tommy pulled his hand away from yours swallowing harshly as he stretched out his fingers from your touch. It had been so long since he had felt the now unfamiliar warm heat of a woman, the softness of the skin, like silk under his fingers. Watching his reaction you stepped back, uncertainty in your eyes. But then Tommy picked up the picture of his family, glancing up at you he gave you a faint smile.
" I remember having this picture taken" he said reminiscing. " Took four goes until everyone stopped fucking arguing" he slightly chuckled as he watched you smile at his memory.
" Who was Mr Campbell?" You asked looking up at him from the picture.
" Chief Inspector Chester Campbell" he replied correcting you as he walked away from the desk taking a drag of his cigarette. "He was hired by Winston Churchill to recover a missing consignment of guns from the BSA factory" he added clearing his throat.
"Missing?" You said with a small smile. "Why did he have a folder on you and your family?"
" I think you know why miss Y/L/N" he replied as he cocked an eyebrow.
" What really happened that night you died" you asked overly confident.
Huffing Tommy strided over to you " You ask a lot of question you know that? And I rarely answer questions. You know everything about me and yet I know so little about you"
" Do you want to know about me?" You asked slightly embarrassed by your bombardment of questions.
Taking a drag of his cigarette leaning against the wall he gestured with his hand for you to talk. He did want to know more about you. Who was this young girl that had suddenly entered his world like a freight train coming at full speed, he was more than intrigued by you.
" Well... You already know my name". You said standing up from sitting on the edge of the desk. " I'm in my mid 20s, i'm a student at the University of Birmingham studying history. I live in Sparkhill with my roommate in this old converted attic. My family are from the area. I moved to the city a year ago, I work at the Sparkhill library. I like the history of this city...i erh I like to collect antiques" you said like you was reciting a checklist.
Tommy watched on with amusement as you paced arms folded with a flustered face back and forth in front of him, trying to think of something even a little more interesting to say.
"That's it" you said coming to a stop In front of him, your eyes avoiding his out of embarrassment.
" It's that why you like busying yourself in other people's history, because your life is so mundane" He said with a cocky smirk.
" Fuck" you sighed quietly turning your face away from him, your eyes welling up as you shook your head in disbelief at his brutal remark and the realisation that it was true. You had always thrown yourself into the history of other people's lives, so much so that you had forgotten to live your own life and make your own history, the realisation was uncomfortable.
Not intending you to take it that way, Tommy walked over to you turning your chin with his thumb to face him, you flinched at his coldness but he kept his thumb in place.
" I was only teasing" he said lowering his head trying to get you to look at him " Maybe you just need a bit of excitement, eh?" He said as he brushed a lone tear away with his thumb.
" Maybe" you sniffled as you gazed into his eyes. They were the bluest eyes you had ever seen and you found yourself getting lost in them, pulling yourself away from your daydreaming you looked down at the floor.
" I was heading to my car" he said letting go of your chin. " Sabini and his men jumped me, beat me within an inch of my life" he added as his eyes glazed over, no emotion omitting from his body. Had he become so accustomed to that life you wondered as you watched him talk like he had recounted this story a thousand times.
" How did you get back to your office?"
" I barely did" he said as he turned his head and looked at you. "I was trying to get back to phone my brother...i think you know the rest" he added as he took a long drag of his cigarette, straightening his posture out.
You remembered the article and the old ladies words. Tommy was found dead slouched in his office chair, he was too weak, barely alive. He never made that call in time.
" You get to go back, each year...to try and change the outcome though? You asked him, a hint of hope in your eyes for him.
"Now how do you know that?" He said as he tilted his head narrowing his eyes at you.
" The old lady on Watery Lane" you replied apprehensively, like you was not supposed to be entrusted with this knowledge.
He scoffed shaking his head in disbelief as he made his way back over to sit on the old secretary desk.
" She talks too much that one" he said as he went to light another cigarette. You watched him as he lit the match once again, the small glow of the flame warming his face for a brief moment. You found yourself unknowingly staring at him once again. Shit, was your friend right? Were you captivated by him.
Tommy however noticed your staring, a cocky smile formed on his mouth as his lit cigarette burned between his lips.
"Y/L/N" he said aloud pulling you from whatever daydream you had entered this time.
"What?" You answered flustered, cheeks now an embarrassing shade of red.
"Y/L/N" he replied once more. " You wouldn't happen to be related to the Y/L/N's that live just outside of north Birmingham, would you?"
" There's lots of Y/L/N that live around Birmingham" You said looking at him as his eyes sparked with mischievousness.
"I know everyone in and outside of the city love, and your last name I have only heard a few times" He said shaking his finger at you. " Mill Street, no?"
Oh fuck, it had never occurred to you that he might have known your ancestors. What was he going to do, go back and have them offed for their great granddaughters incessant nosiness into the life of Birmingham's most dangerous Gangster.
" It must be another Y/L/N family, mine only moved to Birmingham recently" you lied through your teeth.
Getting up from the desk his hands in his pockets, he walked over to the other side of the room all the time watching you with a smirk on his face. He knew you was lying. You wasn't exactly very good at it, fidgeting hands, eyes down to the floor cheeks crimson red. He found it almost endearing, watching you stumble out a lie to protect your family. From what he remembered your family were good people, your great grandfather a respected man and a force to be reckoned with, not that different from himself, but nonetheless hardworking and honest.
"Don't worry love, I'm not going to go back and have them killed" he said like he was reading your mind.
" I wasn't thinking that" you replied as confidently as you could only to be betrayed by your restless hands once more. "...I need to get going" you added looking at him as he nodded to you.
Walking over to the desk you started putting all the various newspaper clippings, documents and papers back in the folder.
"Leave the photo" he said as he watched you.
Nodding, you started heading for the stairs until Tommy's hand caught you by your hip.
"Will you come back?" He asked turning his head to face you as he looked down into your eyes, his hand still on your waist.
"Yes" you nodded smiling to him as he smiled back. Now at the top of the stairs you turned around to face him.
"Bye Tommy"
"Goodbye Y/N"
