Note
Hello Empress, I'm the Nigerian anon. I opened tumblr and I see everyone is freaking out because of the Sussexes "royal tour". LoL. I really want people to calm down. First, i didn't know about it till i opened Tumblr and I'm usually up to date on current affairs.
In Nigeria what everyone is talking about is how the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) just informed the country that any university graduate who will be going for the mandatory one year community service must henceforth, inform his or her family to keep money for ransom ready in case the person is kidnapped. That is how bad things are in our country and its all Nigerian Twitter has been discussing. The Sussexes aren't even on our radar.
The NYSC is a scheme in which everyone who graduates from the University or any higher institution is posted to any of the 36 states for mandatory one year community service. You can't get a job without completing it. This scheme was started by the government after the civil war to foster unity among different ethnic groups.
But because of the current high level of insecurity where people are kidnapped and ransom is paid, the body in charge of NYSC has advised graduates to tell their parents to keep money for ransom ready in case they are kidnapped while serving the nation. I'm crying as I'm typing this.
Back to the Sussexes. I noticed that everyone on tumblr is freaking out because according to them, the WHO, the mayor, the governor and every other person is legitimising the Sussexes by giving them audience and people assume that Americans will think that they are representing the British royals. So, the argument is that the Queen should remove their titles and release a statement denouncing them so that everyone will know they don't represent her. And I say it is absolutely unecessary. I don't know what else people want the palace to do. The Queen has said countless times that the palace do not speak for the Sussexes, has removed all their royal patronages and miliary titles, has said they can't use HRH, took away Sussex royal, denied that she gave permission to name their baby after her, Charles has stopped their funding, doesn't even acknowledge Meghan, Clarence House stopped receiving their mails, by March 2022, Eugene will officially take over Frogmore Cottage after the Sussexes lease expires and many more. Is it until the Queen places an advert on the front page of wall street journal, saying the renegades don't speak for her that Americans will be convinced? Did the 11m Americans that watched them on CBS call the RF racists, somehow still believe they represent the Queen?
First, people need to calm down because I've watched the videos from the visit to the mayor and it's not the storm people think it is. Passersby weren't paying them attention and many people obviously didn't know who they were. In fact, taxi drivers were closeby protesting against the Mayor. Saying that Americans don't know the difference and would think the Sussexes are representing the Queen because of their titles is an insult to their intelligence. Those who watched the Oprah interview, listened to the Dax Shepherd podcast, the Apple series and those who pay any attention at all to the Sussexes will not think that people who insult the royals at every turn, still represent the royals. Saying people won't know the difference is saying they are fools and the comments ive seen under US media tells me no one is buying this stunt. You can as well say that Malik Obama, Obama's half brother who used to be close to him but has fallen out now represents him just because Obama hasn't issued a press statement denouncing him or that Mary Trump who has actively been fighting Trump represents him.
Point 2: If i am paying millions to a powerful firm like Sunshine Sachs and they can't get me a photo op with the mayor of NY, the governor, the WHO president or the US ambassador, then i will immediately sack them. Period.
Anyone or celebrity can schedule a meeting with any government official especially if the person is paying a firm like Sunshine Sachs. Whether or not their titles are removed, it won't stop them from scheduling meetings with anyone. Because i work in media and know very much about PR, I have personally been involved in organizing meetings between politicians and different organisations, charities, celebrities etc. Its really not a big deal. That they get a photo op with the WHO doesn't mean the WHO is legitimising them. They are involved in the vax life thing, so it will be quite easy to get a photop with health officials. It's something a good PR firm can easily make happen. The WHO president won't refuse to see anyone who is campaigning for people to take vaccines whether the person is royal or not.
Most people forget that they are clients to one of the most powerful PR firms in the world and if Sunshine Sachs can't arrange for them to meet any person then the millions they are paying for PR is a waste. SS has powerful people and organisations as clients and with the insane amount the Sussexes are paying for PR, having a photo op with the mayor or even Joe Biden should really not be surprising. The Queen can't do anything about it. Releasing a statement is giving them oxygen and its not worth it. The kind of publicity they got for free when theu were in the UK is what they are now paying millions to get.
We have seen this movie play out before. Edward and Wallis Simpson did exactly the same thing. When they left UK, they tried to set up a rival court but how did that work out? The fact that Edward abdicated and Wallis actively disparaged the Queen mother didn't stop politicians and high society from hosting and feteing them. Really, it's not a big deal. How long will they pull such PR stunts? I rather have sympathy for them because I know they would have spent millions for this NYC "tour". Sunshine Sachs would have to move heaven and earth to get them photo ops with as many people as possible and palms would have to be greased behind the scenes. See the insane amounts that people pay Charles aides to get a photo ops with him. So behind the scenes, Sunshine Sachs will have to grease some palms working with these politicians and organisations to get the Sussexes to meet them. Like I said, it's not a big deal to get such meetings whether you have a royal title or not. What you need is the right contact and enough money to make it happen.
I think I might've posted your asks in the wrong order!

𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬: 𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐓𝐨 - [@influencerxcesia-oc - Cesia]
Tumblr media
☁️ | Before proceeding, know that this will be put into heavy depth, to raise awareness, and to also speak up for not just them, but a majority of other people with the "same attitude" as her, and for many OCs who may be getting the same treatment. So I'll be covering hate, stereotyping, and anything else that is related to the main topic. If this makes you uncomfortable, then I apologise. But this needs to be said as this can get repetitive and becomes a same issue with any OC that finds interest in other CBs and such.
Tumblr media
Let's start with the main topic: Hate Anons to Cesia, a new OC recently. This topic roles into the fact she's receiving hate for, "Acting all cute and innocent to get the badboys attention--"
As a matter of fact, this isn't just the OCs personality, but also the admin's personality. This isn't just acting and roleplaying to receive privilege to speak with San. How dare you say that to her and any other OCs, even CBs, when it's naturally a characteristic? Is she favoring and only speaking nicely to him, aka @badboysan? No. Actually, scroll through my own blog, Mia's blog, and every other person's blog to find evidence of her speaking crudely to others. What's there? Everything is a wonderful and respectful interaction; her being kind. She even has yet to have anyone dm her and provide any evidence of her acting as a privileged OC.
I've been here, running and OC, for a long time. It's coming to a year very soon, meaning I've been in the community for a fair enough of time. So I understand your concern for OCs because in the past, there were problematic OCs. However, do you see the OCs now? A majority of US are kind and thoughtful 24/7. For example:
@shin-haneul who is well-known, loved, and respected for her generous and compassionate personality, always supporting and taking care of others.
Second is @xash-axx, who's also been around for a fairly amount of time, and has been nothing but kind to others despite her concepts time from time. She's in a stable relationship, and has yet to show any betrayal, being loyal and kind, and sweet despite little interactions between me and the OC compared to the Admin.
Third is @hernameisangel-oc, a natural sweetheart who is similar to Haneul, knowing how to have fun, always supporting, and having the will to always remain calm and cheerful, posting motivational content.
And lastly, a close friend of mine is @serenityrose-oc, who hasn't been too active, but she's very sweet and filled with wonderful humour, always caring and supporting everyone when she can.
And this is only the bare minimum of OCs I've mentioned who have wonderful personality and have been in the community for a decent amount of time. And here, no one is a stranger to the history of OC trickery within the community. However, many have yet to receive discouragement and stereotypical comments of their character. Is it because we have an exception because we run other bots and because we truly are more optimistic, helpful, and supportive? So why are those new exempted from us? Or would you like me to state that it's out of jealousy that you can't receive the same interaction as her and the idol bot, or that she has more of a chance compared to you? This goes for all OCs who receive this.
As a matter of fact, you don't see recently most OCs receiving hate and back lash for interacting with other idol bots, even those with already established relationships, especially with those who become often close with others and have stronger bonds with the idol bot. So why is Cesia, among some others who may not post these malicious asks, have an exception to this? Is it just because they're the amateurs for being new and trying to start off strong and make wonderful bonds with others who also give off strong impressions? Because, my dear, you're quite in grave danger for sparking a match that shouldn't be used to light such a nasty flame from many who are not afraid to defend and even attack, for those who are quite bold.
Tumblr media
Let's also touch the subject about stereotyping OCs in general. While Idol bots have a less harder time with this, (some others actually struggling with this then please, you are included in this, no worries) OCs tend to receive stereotypical comments about them:
You're only doing this for relationships, not the plot. 🙄
You're doing this cause you want to a privileged OC or Y/N!!!
You're doing this for the vine/trend!! Get off!
You're just pretending so you can get in his/her pants!
You're going to problematic like the others.
Do you hear yourself? Not many of us OCs actually have intentions of doing such a thing. Sometimes that's based on the character of the OC, but that doesn't mean everyone's desperate. You think anyone wants to cause drama now that the community has an abundance of people, bots, and admins hopping from one post to another? Don't you think some don't do it because they already know others will come at them like wolves protecting their pack? And to even assume some do it for relationships, not even understanding the plot they themselves are slowly bringing forth to the public to interact with? Are you really that dense to not think that far ahead? And if we really wanted it so badly, why isn't any one of us rushing like crazed animals to fend off others from a CB of our interest, huh?
Stop stereotyping all OCs because of those who were problematic in the past. Heck. Some of these new OCs are actually people who have already been in the community for a long time and are aware of the toxicity and bad reputation, but are trying to clear that up with wholesome OCs that are putting effort to put OCs in a better spotlight than one so dull and broken.
Tumblr media
If you really want to start an argument, start an argument right now. Speak like a normal person and share your opinions rather than being so bitter to Cesia and others who come into this community wanting to actually have fun roleplaying. That's what we all are wanting. You want to continue sending backlash? Send it to me and we'll discuss it. Speak like a civilized person than agreeing with the anon when you're so dense to not think that this has consequences and horrible affects on the person running the bot who truly wishes nothing BUT peace and happiness to run their bot. Now you've got a whole storm coming for you because this is sickening to see. Just like you say it's sickening of her personality.
And please. Spread the word. This goes out to everyone in general, even groups that have an OC and more.

[Emergency Program Active]
AdminJF: Heya B-)
CodingB: ...? Allen? Where's Joshua?
AdminJF: He's still asleep, just snoozin away.
CodingB: Still a-... Isn't it... late? Why are you up.
AdminJF: Had a nightmare
AdminJF: Couldn't get back to sleep
AdminJF: Figured a lil chatting with ya could do me some good.
CodingB: ... With... me?
CodingB: Wait a moment...
CodingB: Communications are offline... I didn't think that was possible...
AdminJF: Yeaaa, boy like me's fulla tricks B-)
AdminJF: 'sides, don't think chattin with 'em would help out. They're... kinda chaotic.
CodingB: Unlike you, pizza box tearer?
AdminJF: Ey ey, I'm the FUN kinda chaotic! Those guys... eh... I know Josh trusts them. No surprise there. I mean, apart from you, they're the only peeps who MIGHT help him out... I'm still on the fence about them tho.
CodingB: I see.
CodingB: May I ask... what your nightmare was about? I do not know exactly how dreams work, but talking about what ever is making you upset tends to help.
AdminJF: Are you sure? It's... kinda dumb.
CodingB: I am all ears! And eyes! You have my full attention!
AdminJF: Right, well
AdminJF: where tf do I start...
AdminJF: I was... running in this like, industrial... plant of some kind? Like, running from something that I couldn't see? Like, that went on for a while, that I was just running and trying not to trip or crash into anything.
AdminJF: So at some point, I end up at this biiig chain link fence, like, the kind they put up in big facilities, I think. Anyways, I start climbing the thing, only to get pried off and thrown on my ass by, I guess whoever was chasing me??
AdminJF: But like, I look up at the guy, and I still can't really "see" him. Could say they looked like a shadow, but even that doesn't cover it really. That's around where I woke up and just. I dunno. Woke up about an hour ago and I've been too anxious to head back to sleep...
CodingB: ... I can't say I blame you exactly. An event like that, dream or not, would stress anyone, I'm certain. Until you've calmed down sufficiently, I don't think sleep will be possible...
AdminJF: Yeah, well, all the more reason to chat, right?
CodingB: I suppose so. Had you any topics in mind?
AdminJF: Oh Yea yea
AdminJF: ... No. I really don't.
CodingB: Ah. Then... could I ask you something?
AdminJF: Shoot.
CodingB: ... What is it like out there? Past the screen, I mean. Out in the sun. Out in the grass...
AdminJF: Ah shit... I'm really the wrong dude to ask but uh
AdminJF: It's... fine? No no uh... It... gives you something to do. Sun can get pretty hot down here but it's a helluva lot better than being cold in like, the snow and shit. Josh's been complaining that it's getting colder when... it hasn't? Like, I would know, I'm p sensitive to temperature shifts yo, but it's just been as hot as ever.
AdminJF: Uh, back on topic
AdminJF: Grass is... pretty soft, gives off a nice smell after it's cut. Uh... worms live in the dirt grass grows in...
CodingB: Oh, worms?
AdminJF: Yea, not like computer worms, but uh, little... long slimey things. They eat dirt and filter out the bad stuff so the ground stays healthy and all that.
AdminJF: Birds and lizards and fish like to eat them but I wouldn't recommend it.
CodingB:
CodingB: Allen, did you-
AdminJF: No!
AdminJF: Classmate back in primary did tho
AdminJF: Dared himself to cuz there was a bunch out after it rained and then uh
AdminJF: Y'know what, let's talk about something else.
CodingB:
CodingB: Well, um, do you think I'll ever get to see out there?
CodingB: Like, leave the device and go outside?
AdminJF: Knowing Joshua? Without a doubt. He's prob already working on the blueprints.
CodingB: ... Really?
AdminJF: Pfft, of course! You've met the guy! He's too kindhearted for his own good. J will stop at nothing to help others, even at his own detriment. I mean, case in point: He's friends with me.
CodingB: ... What's wrong with being friends with you?
AdminJF: Ha!
AdminJF: Ah...
AdminJF: Look, I... back when we first met, Josh saw this hungry, pale as death, angry and antisocial freak around his age and, instead of avoiding him like everyone else, sat down right next to him and offered half of his lunch.
AdminJF: I've been through 5 different fosters since he and I first met, CB. Five houses that all took me in and gave me the boot before I could even get comfortable. Within that time, the only other friends I've made apart from him are Clera and Tiff, and the only reason Tiff's our friend is because she and Cler started dating months ago.
AdminJF: I mean, hell, just yesterday, I
AdminJF: shit
CodingB: ?
AdminJF: ... Can you... keep a secret, CB?
CodingB: My lips are sealed, Allen. Is everything alright?
AdminJF: ... I... I lied to Josh, about me running off. About how my folks were mad and I needed to get away from the house for a bit.
AdminJF: The truth is that they... They kicked me out.
CodingB: They?? What!?
AdminJF: Yesterday past-noon, few hours after lunch, not-pops plopped my schoolbag on me, told me to shove as much of my shit in it as I could, and just told me to "get lost". Figured he was joking and I just stared at him cuz, like, why the hell would I think he was serious? But, looking at his face...
AdminJF: So then I said "Let me pack my suitcases while you call the agency" cuz that's how it normally went when my Fosters got sick of me, but mfer pulls me up and goes all "We want you out of here NOW" and tells me that I have ten minutes to fill my bag.
AdminJF: ... And he, uh, really did mean 10 minutes. They weren't lying about that part...
CodingB: Oh my god... That's horrible. They do not deserve to call themselves "parents" of any kind! Are you hurt? Are you okay?
AdminJF: I
AdminJF: I don't know why shit like this still shocks me, y'know? I should be used to it all, and I am for the most part but...
AdminJF: I guess a part of me was thinking that... Things were going well! Things were going better than any of the other families I'd been in! I was with them for almost a full year, like, a month away from it even, and sure, I might've been a bit of an ass sometimes, but they...
AdminJF: Tensions were kinda mounting for the past month or so, I guess, but I didn't notice it until this bs happened. Now most of my shit is in a home I'm not welcome in anymore, the agency probably won't be checking in for another month or so, and I have no goddamn idea what I'll do if Mrs. Freeman comes back and tells me I can't stay here. I'm completely shit outta luck.
CodingB: Allen, I'm so sorry...
CodingB: ... I'm sure... Josh and his mother, they won't leave you on your own like that. You said yourself that Josh is very very kind, for better or for worse. It doesn't matter what you might think about yourself, Allen, you do not deserve to be hurt in any way.
AdminJF:
AdminJF: Christ I spilled my guts like hell
AdminJF: Just one of those fucking
AdminJF: "3am! Time to vent!"
CodingB: Allen, please.
AdminJF: Maybe I could try going back to sleep now...
CodingB: Allen, wait!
CodingB: I. Before you go, please, I
CodingB: Maybe... could you keep a secret of mine too?
AdminJF:
AdminJF: Eh, it's only fair, fine. Go right on ahead.
CodingB: Alright! Alright!
CodingB: I... I'm terrified. Of failing Joshua.
CodingB: Of ending up trapped in this computer for who knows how many more years.
CodingB: Of finally getting out, and... and it all being worse than being trapped in here.
CodingB: Heck, I'm terrified at the thought of it being everything I could've ever dreamed of, so much so that I never want to return to the computer. I... I wouldn't be helpful anymore if that happened...
CodingB: Jeez... am I even helpful where I am now? Apart from keeping the firewall up, what good have I really done to help Joshua or his father?
CodingB: I cannot express to Joshua how... how deeply frightened I am at the thought of him never coming back. That thought haunts my every waking hour when he is not here, and I don't know how to get it to stop. It makes me feel as though I'll crash my entire programming and I hate it so much.
AdminJF: Damn... CB, you know, even just keeping a firewall up is a helluva task all on its own, and it's doing a crapton of good, too. Files are still up and the computer isn't a smouldering pile of viruses now is it?
AdminJF: Besides, even without all of that, you've still helped Josh, like, endlessly. You've supported him a bunch and I know for a fact that you've helped him to feel better about this whole ordeal. Like, he chats about you for HOURS the second you come up in a convo, yo. The minute he gets the chance to, I know he's gonna get you out of there, and, knowing your ingenuity, you're gonna find thousands o' ways to help out.
AdminJF: But... I ain't gonna lie and tell you those feelings are gonna go away. Not on their own. Needs time and reassurance. Until all of this is over and done with and even maybe a good few years afterwards, you're probably gonna still have that fear.
CodingB: Ah... I see... I don't suppose it is normal though, is it?
AdminJF: Nah. I know that first-hand... But hey, we've both made it this far despite all the bullshit we've been through, right? World's not gonna get ridda us that easily.
CodingB: ... Even with the terror I feel, am I still brave enough to face the world?
AdminJF: I'd say the world oughta learn to start being afraid of you, cuz there's nothin' braver than continuing to live even when you're scared to death.
CodingB: ... Thank you. Thank you so very much.
AdminJF: Heh, all in a day... night's work...
AdminJF: Think the both of us could use some rest. Quiet our minds fo' a bit.
CodingB: Heh, agreed... See you tomorrow in that case. Er, well, today. At a later hour.
AdminJF: Yeaaa, see ya then, CBot. Sleep well.
CodingB: You too! May your dreams be filled with nothing scary!

R2SB Madden 23 Rules List
GM/Preplay
Everyone must create a coach
All trades must be approved by at least 3 of the 5 commissioners. You only have to send to 1 but at least 3 have to sign off before hand.
Only Position change allowed:
S/CB...vise versa
LB/DE...vise versa
K/P...vise versa
Any LB switch
Any OL switch
Any DL switch
No cutting players and signing them rt back to create cap space. If you cut a player they must remain in FA through 1 advance.
No switching:
WR/TE
WR/RB
TE/FB(Can put TE at FB position just can't change position)
RB/FB
WR/CB
S/LB (no S in the subLB position on depth chart)
If you sign a player out of FA that was changed by someone else, it's up to you to check with the commissioners or your fellow lg members to see if that's their true position. If a players attributes in FA looks to good to be true it probably is. Dont be mad when you are forced to change him back even after a big contract. We all hip to madden at this point so please dont try to play our intelligence on this one.
Every user is responsible for their own cap space. Be smart with your $$$.
No switching players to any position not allowed just for XP pts. if caught, you will have to bench that player for the entire season.
No agreement with another user to pad stats AT ALL. if caught, users will forfeit picks, lose a dev of commissioners’ choice, and be denied to participate in upcoming FA bidding.
Gameplay
Must rush 3 DL at all times.
4th Down Rule- 2 attempts from any distance/any yards to go unless down 17+ at any point. If you are trailing in the 4th qt, you can go for it. 4th&1 at any time is acceptable and will count towards your 2 attempts. After 2 you can go only in 4th&1 situation. Under 4mins can go as many as you like.
Cannot play CPU. If your opp can't play, you have to just take the fw.
No snapping the ball, when motioning a player, before they are set. Anyone that need clarification on this one, ask!
Communication
Lg will advance every 48hrs.
You must schedule your gm or reach out to your opponent at least once either by DM or the scheduling tab within the 1st 24hrs of advance. After that you dont have to do anything else. The morning of advance and you reach out and your opp doesn't respond, you still dont get fw. It takes no time to set up a gm. If there is only 1 undecided game left to be played, it will be simmed and we will advance.
NO QUITTING!!! Even if its 4th qt and you are clearly losing you don't quit. If you feel you wont be able to finish, dont start it. You don't know who is trying to earn dev traits, awards, etc.
If the gm disconnects while playing, it's at the discretion of the commissioners(unless the 2 can agree) how it will go based on time left, score, who was winning and by how much. This one is never cut & dry so we will handle it logically.
We don't condone tanking but it's not agianst the rules. But you have to still play your gms even when tanking.
Offseason
No playoff team from the previous year can have a top 3 pick. If you have one you have to trade it before the draft.
Allowed no more than 3 picks in each of the first 2 rounds. doesn't mean you can have 1 1st and 5 2nds. 3 max each of the first 2 rds.
Consequences
🚨If you all notice, the consequences are not listed this year. That's because any violation of the rules will be at the discretion of the commissioners. Some ppl(very few) try to find the loop holes in the rules every year. Nobody is new to CFM in madden so we know the standard for most rules like position changes, rush 3, being active, etc. Commissioners and all will be held to the same standard no exception.
Miscellaneous
Custom playbooks allowed
Sim Mode style
Ability changes allowed
Heat Seeker allowed
SB winners will get a free dev trait or +2 to ANY attribute.
I would suggest having video proof when disputing someone breaking a rule, trait games, etc.
Let's have fun and keep the shit talking about madden only fellas. We all men at the end of the day.
-Any other rule change we see fit as the lg goes on we, the commissioners will vote on it, adjust accordingly in the interest of preserving some integrity.

Is loving you so bad?
"So let me get this right? You hacked into Beta bank after a week's effort cracking their firewall. So that you could secretly have millionaire class and higher clients payments rounded to the nearest dollar and have the difference sent to various charities. Why?"
The cage that the Defender was currently trapped in was slowly melting thanks to his stashed equipment.
"They pissed me off. They didn't invite me to their gala so I could decline. Their commercial jingle is annoying addictive. Don't get me started on their embezzlement and fraud the damn hypocrites. Oh and they tore down that little coffee shop I liked so much." The Bane-Effector said while laughing maniacally before having a coughing fit. "Side note I didn't do the hacking my team did. D'Visor is better at that than me and I don't take credit for someone else's work that's tacky."
"You might want to get that cough looked at B." Defender said before busting out of the weakened bars.
"Stop calling me that El Defensor! At least call me Bane- No! He's getting out. I thought you said the scanners didn't pick up anything. Escape plan Delta." Bane-Effector shouted before talking into his communications mic in his shirt collar.
He watched as Defender destroyed the portable terminal he'd attached to their underground servers. That was gonna cost so much to remake a new one.
Hen sent down a hover board for him to speedily reach the surface and regroup back at their cloaked aircraft.
How did he bring anything to destroy the cage they'd caught him in? She'd swore anything metallic would get caught and pulled away.
Eddie looked up at the platform to see that Baney was gone. At least he could go home now before the cops showed up.
He'd have to thank Chimney. The acidic tape was perfect on this first field run. His other main gear had been taken but his main utility belt was intact to his suit thankfully.
As he grappled upwards to the entrance he'd used to get in.
"FireHouse come in."
"I thought we agreed on me changing my code name to Cinder Base Eddie."
"Right sorry. Cinder Base. CB. You're new invention worked like a charm."
"Thank Christopher. Your kid is a foundation of inspiration with that imagination of his. Speaking of Bobby should be bringing him back from the ice cream parlor soon so you might wanna hightail it back here."
Eddie deployed the attractor treads to speed up and take a few unconventional routes up building walls and beside the freeway before finding one of the secret entrances.
He was slipping his suit off when Chimney came over.
"About what he said, you got it recorded right?"
"Mostly. I'm already on it. Anyone who's in the available record's for that coffee shop and pings anything odd will be put on the list of possible suspects. Too bad we can't tell Athena."
"I don't want to be taken in as a vigilante Chimney neither do you."
"I know that. It'd be pretty bad if that cute guy you had a crush on was the Bane-Effector huh." Chimney joked as they rode the elevator up.
"Please don't jinx it." Eddie said before the doors opened.
"Daddy!"
"Christopher, mijo. We're you good for Bobby." He kissed his son as he pulled him into a hug.
"When am I bad?" Christopher asked giggling.
"Redundant question. You're right. So where were you while I was in the workshop with Chimney?"
"We got ice cream. The tv called el defensor the wrong name again." Bobby mouthed a sorry.
"Yeah. I feel sorry for him. But he does keep people safe"
"Who keeps him safe though?" Christopher said as he made his way over to draw about his favorite superhero and his recent activities.
"I don't know. But I'm sure he's got friends who look out for him that he appreciates a lot" Eddie sat besides Chris and drew his favorite hero his son.
"I just remembered. I got some stuff to research. Be seeing you all." Chimney left with a wave. "I left a new toy for you to test out in your room Christopher let me know how you like it." He said before going to meet Maddie.
Elsewhere Buck was licking his metaphorical wounds as Hen got ready to go home.
He didn't need the money which they weren't even getting it was about pointing out the assholish actions of Beta bank. So why did he feel so down about being bested by El Defensor.
"Wait a minute. Can you be in love with two entirely different people at the same time?"
"Buck what are you talking about?" Hen said coming back towards the table he was nursing a drink at.
"I think I have a thing for the Defender. And the guy who was coming to my old coffee shop job. But at least I know who one of them is."
"So revenge on Beta bank was really about your crush and we just happened to discover their dirty secrets." Hen started laughing.
"It's not funny."
"Sorry buck but it kind of is. Wait till I tell Karen."
"No you can't."
But hen was already in the deployment pod and he couldn't stop it.
Buck was screwed. Not even in a good way either.
“Villain!Buck just wants to be friends with Superhero!Eddie.”

People don't believe ICE's arrest of 21 Savage in Atlanta is a coincidence

SEE ALSO: The history behind the 'bread and roses' theme to the London Women's March According to ICE, 21 Savage -- a 26-year-old whose real name is Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph -- entered the country illegally in 2005, and then proceeded to stay after his year-long immigrant visa expired. The media industry has suddenly become a Game of Thrones-like battle for power
HBO
The media industry is suddenly mulling a flurry of huge deals.
Cord-cutting, streaming and shifting consumer and advertiser preferences have upended the power structure as former giants scramble for relevance long term.
The stakes are as high as it gets  – who controls content, distribution, advertising and connections with consumers.
If you spend any time on Twitter and follow any media industry people, you'll often come away dizzy, and fairly certain that every media company is buying everyone.
It started a year ago when AT&T announced it had reached an agreement to buy Time Warner. Then things really turned upside down when 21st Century Fox — just three years after trying to buy Time Warner — signaled it wanted to sell some assets to Disney.
Then on Thursday, it was reported that Comcast might buy some of Fox. Or Verizon might. And of course, President Trump might not allow AT&T to buy Time Warner. The FCC is potentially loosening media ownership rules. Net Neutrality might go away.
Confused yet?
When did media become Game of Thrones?
HBOGO
Media used be an industry that was primarily about content, distribution and advertising. Now, the emergence of deep-pocketed tech giants has changed everything. People are streaming, ditching cable, avoiding live TV, watching shows on mobile, etc.
"The one take away is that the media industry is facing real pressure," said Rich Greenfield, BTIG media and tech analyst. "You've got cord cutting, ads moving to mobile, etc. None of these companies has been prepared for that."
So all these media machinations are about power and control. These giants want to make as much money as possible, position themselves for the future and prevent rivals from getting into their territory.
"What we’ve noticed is where there’s big change there’s often a lot of M&A," said Terry Kawaja founder and CEO of M&A advisory firm Luma Partners. "In this case, it's motivated by fear, not greed."
What gives you the most power in the future?
"In the pre-web video era, it was all the same for decades. Content was king, distribution was queen," said Toby Chapman, associate partner at strategy consulting firm OC&C. "Then, suddenly people are talking about, is content king any more? In a platform world, is it the relationship with consumer? Or is it the pipes?"
Those questions get at the heart of why everyone in media seems to be rethinking who their friends and enemies are.
Is content still king? Does the company with the best shows and movies (like Disney) have the most power?
Is distribution where the true power lies? Does the company with cable boxes or broadband pipes in people's homes (like say Comcast) rule?
Is having a direct relationship with the consumer the winning strategy? Amazon is one of America's favorite brands, and Netflix is a favorite with millennials.
Or is it all about the browser or the interface? Maybe delivery mechanisms don't matter, as long as you own the browser (like Google) or the interface (like Facebook).
Or do you need to have everything?
"No matter how big you are, tech and user behavior throws it all off," said Elgin Thompson, managing director at Digital Capital Advisors. "Unless you are the full ecosystem, you're not an emperor. These companies want to be so big they can create their own weather."
It seems that suddenly, Fox has many suitors interested in some of its assets (it's not selling Fox network, Fox News or Fox Sports.) Why?
Walt Disney Animation Studios
The rise of Netflix
You may recall, Disney is planning taking on Netflix with its own streaming service, and it may want to own as much content as possible, so Fox's Studio could be a big help.
Disney already owns Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar. Theoretically, if it gets Fox's content and other TV companies start starving Netflix of their shows, Netflix would have fewer people signing on to binge "Breaking Bad" and would have to live and die on its own shows.
"A lot of people would look at them and say, they've stood alone in that space," said Chapman. "But they may suddenly have very credible competitors. And you’ve also got so many channels who've never been good friends with Netflix."
Netflix, of course, plans to spend $8 billion on content next year. So don't count them out of anything.
The Verizon playbook
Meanwhile, Verizon is eyeing a deal with Fox, according to the Wall Street Journal. What is it doing?
Like AT&T, all of the wireless giants need to get into new revenue streams, since pretty much everyone in the US who wants a cell phone has one and they keep switching to get better deals.
Verizon has acquired AOL and Yahoo in recent years to challenge Facebook and Google, which remains a brutal task. Meanwhile, it has a very limited footprint in TV, other than Verizon Fios. This gets them in the TV game, theoretically.
What about Comcast?
What about Comcast? Many see this cable company as being in great shape, given that it has such a complete set of assets: NBCUniversal (TV networks, and a studio) and the largest pay TV service in the US. Buying some of Fox could help strengthen them against competitors. One very appealing asset: Sky, which is sort of like Comcast or DirecTV in the UK.
Yet Greenfield believes Comcast may have to sell NBCU if it wants to make any more big moves, given the Trump administration's objections to the AT&T/Time Warner deal.
Isn't everyone cutting the cord?
Millions of people still have cable. There's a lot of money to be rung out of that business over the next few years – and maybe even some untapped potential.
For example, Comcast theoretically knows what you watch and what you do on the web. They could tie that together with data for advertisers and programmers, for example.
And don't forget that even if you cut the cable cord, you're likely to keep the broadband one. Cable TV companies are essentially broadband companies. And that business isn't going away quickly. The company that delivers broadband to your home could always charge cord cutters more. And if Net Neutrality goes away, they could also charge some companies like Netflix a toll to reach consumers.
A big limit to cable companies' power is that are inherently regional. You can't get Comcast in New York, for example. No one's been able to roll up all these cable companies into a national play. At least not yet.
HBOStill, these companies have the most to lose in an 'over the top' TV future.  As Kawaja explained it, a company like CBS is happy to deliver its network to new distributors like Sling TV or YouTube TV. Even if people cut the cord for skinny bundles or they just pay for CBS All Access to get the new "Star Trek," CBS makes money.
But recently earnings for Comcast and DirecTV showed both losing subscribers faster. "Now everyone is saying, oh shit, it’s on," Kawaja said. "Cord-cutting is suddenly not a college graduate thing. It’s accelerating faster. And the distribution people have the most urgency to move. An OTT world messes with their bundle first and foremost."
Who else should we think about?
Charter Communications: Charter Communication is another big regional pay TV provider (they are the ones who bought Time Warner Cable a few years ago). According to the New York Post, Charter has considered buying the cable TV company Cox Communications or even selling itself to Softbank.
(By the way, watch Softbank in this area. They have lots of money. They're the Iron Bank in this scenario)
Liberty Media: Liberty Media chairman John Malone told CNBC that the company has received four acquisition overtures recently.
Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty ImagesMalone is a legendary media industry investor who's worth billions. As the chairman of Liberty Media could make a big move at any moment. Liberty Media has stakes in SiriusXM, Formula One Racing and the Atlanta Braves. Malone also has a big stake in Discovery Communications.
Altice: What's an Altice again? Ad tech nerds know them as the company that bought the web video company Teads last year. They acquired Cablevision a few years ago. Now, the stock is tanking, and they could be looking for a savior.
Viacom and Discover/Scripps: These cable programmers used to be among the power players in the TV industry. Now they're suddenly vulnerable. Do they need to find buyers? Greenfield argues that Viacom needs to reunite with CBS (they two companies split a decade ago) "yesterday."
What about selling to someone like Google or Facebook, both of whom want to get into premium content in a big way (and TV advertising). Greenfield says no way. "Tech companies can build, they don't need to buy. Nothing has changed my thinking on that."
A good example is Amazon inking a deal to make an original series centered on "Lord of the Rings." You don't have to own a studio or network to do content, if you can spend a lot of money.
Amazon: It's coming for every industry, so it seems. The billionaire media mogul Malone earlier this week called them "The Death Star," reported CNBC. Though in this case, The White Walkers might be a better analogy, since few know what Amazon really wants to do.
What's Next?
Dave Morgan, CEO of the data-centric TV ad company Simulmedia, sees a flurry of activity.
"Charter could combine with Discovery/Scripps," he said. "Or they could do a deal with Sprint or T-Mobile, since they each will need a scaled partner. Comcast will talk to one or both of those wireless company. As will Dish."
Morgan also predicted that Facebook, Amazon, Netflix and Google could become sudden buyers. In particular, he predicts Netflix could buy a studio to hedge against Disney. "I think that they will have to, and may want a network for its ability to help them market their programming and maximize its monetization."
The Wild Card
AP Photo/Andrew HarnikTrump and his team are the great unknown. Few thought that the AT&T/Time Warner deal was in trouble. Now it's headed for a court battle.
"Usually logic reigns supreme," said Thompson. "But with Trump, none of this matters. That’s what these guys have to deal with."
