I want so much to have more time for creative things... I barely have time to continue my Gremia/Damian fic (and despite lack of time I WRITE IT), I have so many ideas, want to tell about Byrgenwerth life of my favourite scholar four - Micolash, Rom(my little ginger sigma-female), Laurence and Caryll, explain my vision of their lifes and write lots of headcanons for them! Explain how Gehrman and Laurence met, how old is Gehrman in my opinion (at least how old he WAS during byrgenwerth era), who is Willem and why he is cool character, tell the whole story of Gremia! I realised yesterday that I see him as a complete complicated person with flaws, funny stories, good and bad sides, things that he likes and dislikes, his possible connection with other characters. I think I have the whole vision of a bloodborne lore by now!

Want to share so much! But time... :'^( I didn't even finish my comic (3 of 6 panels) yet but I still remember about it!

Yesterday I started new drawing again, don't like how I draw at all, I guess it's a sort of period of self-digging? I drew sketch for Micolash/Saint Adeline art but god it's so hard right now. That time of being artist (lol I am not tbh) again. No good line in 10 minutes of struggling wtf I need to sit, take a deep breath in, breath out and draw, learn, read guides, but TIME!!

I want to tell that I ship Micolash/Adeline (as MicoEdgar, both are good, just in different time of Mico's life), Laurence/Rom, Gehrman/Lady Maria, Gremia/Damian, Caryll/Rom in their young age and etс!! Iship lots and lots of things

And with my head full of ideas and cool stuff I have 1 fucking day to take rest of work, and tomorrow 31th of December I am gonna work and it will be hard (I couldn't even guess that life of florist is so hard)

Hope New Year will be great! I always got sensitive when it comes to New Year, cry often when it's 00:00 because I overcome with feelings - so many things have passed, those I deeply cherish in my heart and those I hate (but never really want to forget something! ANY experience makes us stronger and helps to survive). I hope you all will have wonderful year! Even if you feel bad - I have a belief that destiny leads us to places where we MUST be and it is always something that is best for all. World is living in balance with it's good and bad, I always say that. Just maybe we need to look around ourselves and look for good things that surround us but we don't see them/don't care about them/don't want to know.

i think people should hc the mercs however they want, however, the take that will always puzzle me is shy sniper. where did that even come from. i cannot in good conscience imagine this man shaking like a leaf or covering in fear because of social interactions. he is not afraid of people, he is annoyed by them, that's the difference.

It's because he's an introvert and people just go "Ah, asocial, must be because he's a shy uwu baby" because they can't fathom someone who just prefers to be alone and is comfortable in their own company.

I don't even reckon he's annoyed by them. I reckon he just doesn't care. He prefers to be alone. Might get annoyed easily but I reckon he sees other people as just passing faces and prefers isolation. He'll have a hang with his mates sometimes—his voice lines in the game show his excitement at hitting a local bar with them post-match—so I don't reckon it's a case of him even finding them annoying, just that him seeking companionship/socialisation in other people is a rare thing.

I think these people just don't know enough asocial men. Or they're too accustomed to fandom shit where characters who are introverted/asocial are always uwu shyboy types and not just "people are fine and all but I prefer my own space and am comfortable in my own company".

Because surely people can't CHOOSE isolation. There must be something wrong with them—they dislike people, or they're afraid of them.

As for Yusaku, well, it is known that he's extremely clever and good at reading people. He might be introvert, but perhaps he hates to stand out because he realizes that he doesn't need it. And if Vrains will take a lot of time in VR then it's even more understandable that Yusaku must be really careful with who he interacts with. He cannot trust EVERY person he would meet, especially if he is a hacker which I suppose is not really legal... Though we still don't know if Yusaku is asocial irl too.

But if Yusaku really is not social guy, then sure he might need to learn to communicate with people. I think Yuya could help him with this, he is a little friendly sunshine after all ^^ And Yusaku in return could help him to chill and convince him not to push himself for those who wouldn’t appreciate it. Sorry, I spammed this much, it’s just.. if my predictions are at least a bit true, then it makes me ship Yusaku x Yuya really hard (sorry I mention this ^^‘). I just hope we will enjoy Vrains ^^

I wanted to wait until we got more Vrains news to answer this, but because we apparently live in the DESERT where we must always THIRST for even a DROPLET of Vrains news…

And don’t worry, you’re not spamming me lol. Based on our current information, I don’t think you’re too off mark with what Yusaku and Yuya interacting would be like. I sort of ship Yusaku/Yuya too, but mostly because we have no canon Vrains characters to hook him up with yet (though I’m not trying to say that’s why you or anyone else ships them). 

I mean, the constraints of egaology aside, Yuya’s always been very open to trying new things. He jumped headfirst into pendulum summoning after Zarc created it; he became a Lancer, leaving home to fight in the war and bring Yuzu home; he was open to dueling on a D-Wheel/rollerblades; he never shied from tackling a new summoning method. 

But if we’re to take all the Vrains teaser info at face value, Yusaku has never dueled. If his world is anything like the other spinoffs, he will have had ample opportunity to learn—dueling is central to their society. I know non-duelists exist, but really? Fifteen-sixteen years, and not once has this kid not wanted to try it out? And he can’t be like me and just not care for puzzle/strategy games. Hacking into anything requires strategy. Vrains seems like it’s going to have a big mystery component to it—basically, a giant puzzle. So if he really is new to the game, it’s because… well. There are different possibilities.

He can be antisocial. No matter which interpretation of his stated character traits we’re going with—serious-and-no-nonsense, or shy-and-timid—an inclination towards solitude would fit with either. Dueling is social by nature—it requires at least two players. Maybe he just wants to keep the potential social interactions to a minimum.

Or he can be lazy? It could be that he doesn’t see dueling as worth the effort. Hacking is something that comes naturally to him. We can presume at this point that he does it strictly for the challenge, as we have no proof that he’s altruistic enough to serve the greater good, nor can we say he’s selfish enough to exploit people’s private information. But as I said about, dueling would come naturally to someone who enjoys this particular type of challenge, so it can’t be a lack of interest. It could certainly be a lack of motivation.

Or he may look down on dueling as shallow and superficial, which wouldn’t make sense in any of the other spinoffs expect for Vrains. Social media is going to be a factor. ‘Charisma’ duelists are going to be a thing. You can bet your ass a good number of those folks are going to be doing it for the flame and glory, rather than any fulfillment they get from the game itself. And because Yusaku is good at reading people, he’s probably able to see right through that. So he might think dueling is a shitty game that only shitty people play, and thus, not worth his time.

No matter what his reason is, the fact that he’s never (apparently) never attempted to play immediately makes him different from Yuya (and from all the previous protags, but lets focus on Yuya). I think Yuya would definitely be encouraging of Yusaku, working to bring him out of his shell. I don’t think Yusaku would be too keen on entertainment dueling (especially if he really does look down on charisma duelists as shallow), but I think he would be inspired by Yuya’s perseverance. As a result, once he finds his own dueling philosphy, I think he’d push it in the same manner Yuya did (and here’s to hoping Yusaku’s is less problematic).

Moving back to your point on why Yusaku is antisocial (if he really does turn out to be): you bring up a fascinating point on the matter of trust. It would be so interesting to get a protag who is wary of people by default. It may be because he can read people well and doesn’t like what he sees, and that’s why he stays away. And if the VR world isn’t regulated/only lightly regulated, that means that people will be able to do… pretty much whatever they want in there. If anonymity is the default, the entire VR world is a recipe for bringing out people’s worst instincts. Yusaku would do very well to keep everyone there at arms length.

But if put in the same situation, I couldn’t imagine Yugi, Judai, Yuma or Yuya being constantly on guard like that (at least not during their first seasons). The only other protag to ever show this level of guile is Yusei. Orphaned, dirt-poor Yusei. Yusei, the same protag who grew up in a gang infested, post-apocalyptic environment. Yusei, the only protag who went through hell and back as his backstory. That Yusei. 

There’s nothing to suggest that Yusaku is orphaned, or anything other than middle class. He’s going to be an HS student, meaning that he won’t have the lack-of-formal-education trait Yusei had. But if he’s antisocial to this extent (again, there is no concrete, spelled-out proof that he is), then… there’s something there. Something happened to our cotton candy dream boy. 

I’ve already brought up the possibility of something traumatic happening in his past. I won’t explore it further unless we get more canon info that points in that direction (I’ve already gone into it more than most folks would, anyway). It’s just… a possibility to tuck away into the back of your mind…

Anyway, I am sort of hoping Yusaku doesn’t trust people by default. That would be such a fresh take coming from a protag with what appears to be an average background!

i beg you please, unless you already decided you wanted a shy/not-caring character, don't make them just an asocial uninterested kid. lots of people think we are all like that, associating that not having interest in sex is not having interest in the world. there are introvert aces, but also ambivert and extroverts, like everywhere.

as something you might like to know, some aces actually like sex and/or masturbation even if they don't feel sexual attraction (you can dm me if you have questions about it). i personally don't like either of those.

also, not all aces aren't like, pure. i get the sex jokes. i make sex jokes. it's even funnier for me when i make those, like an inner joke with myself.

i usually feel uncomfortable or even annoyed when my friends talk about sex in front of me. i feel excluded or bored or kind of disgusted (since i am very sex-repulsed), and try to change the subject or just ignore them.

about romantic relationshios i can't really help since i'm aromantic too, but i do keep platonic relationships and i guess it's not that different. for what it know, aces:

date other aces so they don't have to have sex

actually have sex with their partners if they are not sex-repulsed

maintain "opened" relationships (i don't know how it's said in english, it's not my native language, sorry) in which their partner just has the sex with someone else but still does the room things with them.

I’m thinking about writing a story with a ace teenager as the protagonist/ narrator. Currently doing some research so I know what I’m doing, because if I’m gonna do this, I wanna do it right. Therefore I humbly request some help from the ace community.

Are there stereotypes for ace that you hate?

Something I, as a non ace person, would not think of? Anything, small or big, would be super helpful!
