My favourite ship at the moment is FengQing (Feng Xin X Mu Qing from TGCF) and I am constantly talking @astrowaffles 's ear off about them. Platonically, I'm always mentally ill about the Shiratorizawa team and how they all support each other. Family-wise, I can't get Shen Twin aus out of my head

Yaku and Suga from Haikyuu, both platonic and romantic :) I think either way would be really sweet and funny

The timeline gets a bit confuddled here but my first otp was either prinxiety (Roman X Virgil from Sanders Sides) or klance (Keith X Lance from VLD)

I scoped out the Skulduggery Pleasant fandom and I'm not planning on going back (which sucks because the books are amazing)

Either Zuko, Tsukki, Mu Qing, or Ming Fan (can you tell I'm a fan of grouchy people with the ability to do good?)

As someone very neutral over Asahi, I really have to say that he is portrayed as the ace amazingly. Even though he isn't the main character and can't score all the epic points, he's still an inherently powerful force and you always trust in him when the ball goes his way, as this viewer.

DSMP/MCYT - after Technoblade sadly passed away and then the finale was handled so clumsily, I just couldn't bother with it anymore. However, I still watch a lot of those YouTubers today, like Tommyinnit and Jack Manifold :)

Shen Yuan was chronically ill before he transmigrated and he died not just due to choking but because a seizure happened during his rage-eating. We know he's an unreliable narrator, hence why he never mentions this - he hated being ill and felt ashamed by it, so he never wants to think about it now he's no longer sick.

A prompt for this could be Shen Qingqui gets wife plotted and the consequence is far too similar to how he lived his old life that he keeps nearly breaking over it. Could lead to an identity reveal or just some good ol' hurt/comfort

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending? 

Yamagata has clinical depression. Idrk where this came from but it's something I very much stand by and have lots of interlocking ideas with so, yeah, no one is changing my mind on that.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

Mu Qing (TGCF/Heaven Official's Blessing) - he's my favourite because of his complicated character. He says negative things, the rumours about him is how he is cold and unkind, yet we see his actions and behaviour portrayed very differently. He's a truly complicated guy.

Goshiki Tsutomu (Haikyuu) - I've written an essay on him which I now cannot find??? I'll have to fish it out but basically he's a really well written character whom performs so hard despite the anxiety he's visibly under being in such an infamous team

Shen Yuan (SVSSS/Scum Villain's Self Saving System) - he's a nerd who died and is now a hot guy but has the nerve to complain about it, he's just like me and I love that.

V - Which character do you relate to the most?

It sounds dramatic and emo as fuck, but Mu Qing. I just get him on a very deep level.

Major Character Death or just Character Death in general - I always find it very cheap or unfulfilling. To get me on board with Major Character Death takes a LOT

Okay. Wow. Where do I start.

(HERE THERE BE SPOILERS:)

THEY MADE MERSTEDE HAPPEN. Now we KNOW that the crew reads fic, because that was pure fanservice. When he materialized and swam up to Ed, I couldn't stop giggling. My husband asked what was so funny, and when I refused to reply, he asked if it was a fan fic thing. Why, yes. Yes, it is.

(Also MerStede is a good look and yes it's camp and cheesy and cringefail or whatever the kids say these days, but honestly I can't blame Ed 'cause yeah, I'd go there. Also congrats to Rhys for living out his cryptid dreams. :D)

Not loving where the Olu/Jim relationship is heading. Seeing Archie intrude on their space was uncomfortable. And I don't like that they made Olu incompetent (he's been a pirate for how long and he doesn't recognize a battle map?). Zheng Yi Sao is amazing, though. "Girl, how are you?" 11/10, chef's kiss, you're doing great sweetie, etc.

I'm shocked that Lucius immediately pivoted to blaming STEDE for his misfortune instead of, you know, THE GUY WHO PUSHED HIM. Everyone seemed a little too on board with pointing fingers at Stede, and no one mentioned Chauncey or the effort Stede went through to fix his mistakes. He even admitted to Lucius to his face that he's aware he's a flawed individual who has hurt many people.

Apparently Stede's vision of their reunion involves a full-bearded Ed, even though the last time they saw one another Ed was clean-shaven. I get that they couldn't make Taika grow a short beard within days, but it's an odd choice for the character. I guess he's remembering Ed as he was when they fell in love? Also I was originally anti-Steard, but that opening scene gave me pause. Damn but that's a good look for Rhys.

Alas, poor Ivan, we hardly knew ye. And for Ed to barely twitch at his death? That's cold, man. They need him to atone HARD for his actions this seasons, because so far he's become very unsympathetic.

Ricky idolizes Stede the same way that Izzy idolized Ed, and it's going to end just as badly for him. Also now I want to try a gin Rick(e)y. Watch this become the new signature fandom drink (with orange juice in place of lime, of course). Lavender-eucalyptus scents will surge in popularity as well.

"You smoke now?" babe he just endured a cavalcade of horrors incomprehensible to the human mind, you're lucky he isn't strung out 24/7. Also smoking was probably considered medicinal.

Speaking of hard drugs, apparently Ed's been snorting rhino horn, which is an aphrodisiac. Is he just giving himself constant blue balls over Stede as self-punishment? No wonder his brain finally was like, fine, if you're not gonna get a therapist I guess I'll just have to make one myself. And Ed repaid this with a Looney Tunes sequence of repeatedly killing his hallucination.

Which leads me to ask...how did he get in that state, anyway? Auntie said that a man had his head bashed in, but the cannonball that Jim dropped would have caved in Ed's face, no takesy-backsies. Izzy's failed suicide attempt I get; 17th century pistols were notoriously unreliable and misfired all the time. You can't just lightly bounce a cannonball off someone's head.

ETA: You know what, I'll accept Ed surviving a cannonball to the face the same way that the show itself shrugs off all the various major character stabbings, hangings, and drownings in an era when the most effective medical care was catgut, laudanum, and hope. If Stede can survive being gut-stabbed AND hanged at the same time, not to mention Izzy getting shot minutes after losing a leg, sure Ed can deflect a fatal head wound. Why not.

Is it me or were there a LOT of suicide attempts, particularly on Ed's part? Like, I get that he's long past spiraled into insanity, but it's unnerving to watch someone repeatedly hold a gun barrel under their chin. I knew a guy (not well) who did kill himself this way, and in front of his kid no less. She was 18 months old and has no memory of it, thank god, but it was horribly traumatic for his wife and older sons, who were in the next room. So yeah. A trigger warning specifically for suicide attempts would have been nice.

They seem to be leaning hard into Buttons's mysticism. Now he can not only talk to birds, but he's being treated as some sort of sea god who can maybe turn into a bird? I hope they don't veer too far into fantasy; I like that it's more grounded with just a hint of theatricality.

Ed puts 'orgasms' as a priority on his list of three reasons to live. Oooooh, they gonna fuck nasty this season.

...they never did explain exactly how Stede got the crew off that island in a dinghy. Did he row them to land one by one? There's no way he piled them all in...the boat wouldn't support their combined weight.

hc that ginny danburry went on to become a renowned actress years after midsummer. but she could still remember the evenings when her father and mother's taunts about her dreams haunted her as she uttered her lines on stage. she could still remember donning a grin once she entered the curtains but hiding in the bathrooms and stifling sobs because she was starting to believe that she wasn't good enough. how the hell do i expect to make it? i'm nothing compared to every successful actor. i'm terrible at relaying the right feelings into the right lines and oh my god i don't deserve this role i'll just end up botching it on opening night-

"gin?"

neil. ginny heard the unmistakable comfort of a smile blanketing his voice. she felt her face and found that her skin had gone sticky from tears. ginny danburry will never let anyone see her cry. women were already considered as weak as worms by society - but god forbid, a crying woman? she swallowed thickly, and managed to reply, "oh. i'm almost done, wait."

the faucet switched on and its noises sort of muffled her sniffling and she rubbed her eyes as much as she could without painting it red and worrying. in a matter of seconds, she floundered out of the bathroom and marched towards god knows where in the dark backstage of the theater, doing her best to ignore her friend's concerned glance.

running away, that's all you know, her father said. you're not brave enough to face your faults, and you expect to act? be known to everyone in the world?

soon, tiredness overcame her legs and she dropped herself on one of the large props. what play was it for? she did not know. it didn't look like a set piece for midsummer, so no one would probably be looking for it. she considered the area safe. ginny had only let out a sigh filled with nothing but confused anguish. feelings overlapped. fear. dejection. doubt. comfort. anger. she wondered what the first mortals have done to receive this kind of punishment by the gods. the poor kids were penalized with a devil spawn called feeling.

the young danburry's head snapped up when footsteps made its way to her space. shit, shit, shit. she was about to hide beneath the props when the shadowy figure of neil perry presented itself, "hi. thought you went here." this was followed by a brief chuckle. lightening the mood - a signature of neil.

she knew the boy wouldn't sit without her permission, and she didn't want to tire him out. patting the space beside her, she shuffled aside and dropped her head into her hands, ashamed. she mirrored his laugh, and looked up a bit, "silly boy, why'd you follow me here? shouldn't you be ... i don't know, taking a break?"

"what? you think i wouldn't spend my break with one of my best friends?"

"oh, stop flattering me. i still won't help you write that poem you want." the attempted banter lifted her spirits enough that she could look at her best friend.

"dear me, whatever shall i do?" he dramatically clasped his chest while the sparkle in his hazel eyes rivaled the darkness of the props room. his ridiculously bad performance of dramatization finally drew out a breath of laughter from the girl. "jokes aside, are you okay? i heard things in the bathroom," he said, his warm, kind demeanor still there.

"neil perry, ever the therapist," she winked, before her smile faltered. "ah... it's just some stuff. i'll be over it soon." you're so weak. you know you won't be "over it", stupid girl.

somehow, neil understood her seclusion and nodded in response before gesturing a may i hug you? grateful adoration began to gnaw at her chest, and she obliged.

don't cry, don't cry, don't cry - but she couldn't help it. she burrowed into neil's sweater as though she were an infant and it was her then caring mother's bosom. hopeless cries slipped from her pink lips and she loathed the sound of it. she was about to retreat, disgusted by how she acted, and expecting neil to throw her aside, his feelings akin with hers - but he surprised her when he drew her in, and started to embrace her arms with gentle comfort. "it's going to be okay, you're one of the strongest people i know, gin. you can do it. i'll always be here for you."

a poet's declarations of love couldn't defeat the platonic solace that emitted from his words.

and they stayed like that, perhaps for a minute more, or hours. all she knew was that neil perry would always be there for her, and she would always tag along with him. even when she stood before his casket, and even when she reveled in the disbelief of outliving her best friend, who had faults but had his promise and love outshining it - he would be there for her. the letters she wrote to her dead best friend would be read by the ghost of his consolation living in her. even when she got her first big movie role, and when she stepped foot on the famed red carpet for the first time, and when she received her first award - he was there, cheering her on like a madman.

every flower and letter she left on his weather-beaten grave couldn't impart her words enough, and she patiently waits for the day she could say them herself to him.

when they're on the stage on some high heaven, maybe.
