It’s so fucked bc like. Rui never really had friends before especially not any that are as important to him as the rest of wxs so he’s so incredibly unused to basic very human emotions like loving your friends that whenever he indulges these feelings & works towards keeping wxs together he’s like I’m so selfish. As if the rest of wxs doesn’t want to stay together too. Him saying he was greedy for staying w wxs in curtain call (why don’t I want to follow Facts And Logic and pursue my goals why do I feel sad abt leaving my friends) … him saying he’s selfish for getting wxs to go freelance (I believe the implication is that he feels like he’s getting in the way of emu’s dreams as if emu didn’t choose to join them & is very happy to be there) his intense fear of abandonment/being “too much” for his friends -> guilt complex over loving his friends. (Horse on a beach dot jpeg) Man…. I don’t think he comprehends how much wxs values him (& their friendship as a group). Guy who would do anything for his friends shocked to discover they would do anything for him in return.

MMJ:

Haruka/Minori! - The moment I saw the opening cutscene it felt like watching a child’s first cartoon crush except fast forward and Minor and Haruka actually become friends and work together and are equals and huh???? Minori just gets so blush around Haruka and like remembers everything about her, and Haruka opening up again just because of Minoris dreams is the gayest fuckin thing. It’s just pining lol, so wholesome :3

Shizuku/Airi! - Your honor they satisfy my opposites attract trope. Beautiful and mature meets cute and fireball-like! I love their dynamic and how Airi is like an angry chihuahua that Shizuku just gracefully restraints her and gives her kisses lol luv em

VBS:

Akito/Toya - They’re just so iconic, all of their interactions are amazing and Toya is just so SO very gay. It’s just something the fandom has completely accepted and I’m all here for it! XD

An/Kohane - Again, a staple of Proseka at this point, something about these girls is just “YOUR TOGETHER. NOW. ITS HAPPENING” and I LOVE it lol. I love the confidence and shy girl mixture, and it plays off of AkiToya well!

WXS:

Aight are probably gonna hate me for this one but I have 2 opinions:

1) I like RuiEmu and TsuNene more than RuiNene and TsuEmu, I just think they’re dynamics are really cute together. I also love them switch around though, I just have a preference!

2) RuiKasa is really good but people are underselling the fun dynamic that is EmuNene

3) With that being said I have basically admitted to liking every possible pairing between these four so I must admit…

I fucking ADORE polyshow to death!!

They’re just so funny and sweet to them, and out of every group I this WxS has the best overall dynamic! Everything is just so fluid and it feels so right to just have them all together. When have they ever been normal anyway lol

Ichika/Saki - The one ship I will NEVER get over!! No matter what other people ship this one is mine and I will die on this hill XD I just love how it’s these 2 that were there for each other when even the other group members weren’t, and I just really like em hehe

Shiho/Honami - Not actually a fav of mine, but they’re pretty cute together and I like the fanart/events of them lol. Also I don’t ship these 2 with anyone else so with a completion it’s mind set I kinda just put these 2 together in my head and it stuck lol

Alright here’s where my multishipper brain goes BRRRR

Ena/Mizuki - This one has ALWAYS been a fav of mine! I just love both of their designs and characters and singing voices together and they’re just so cute imo, I don’t have much do a reason further XD

Mizuki/Mafuyu - I just find their dynamic interesting tbh. I think romantically it’s a bit iffy but I kinda like how toxic it is somehow? It’s all just very intriguing between them lol

Ena/Mafuyu - Same reason as above, but ina different way. Where it’s intriguing between Mizuki and Mafuyu because of the Dassin was mixed with the apathy, I like how Ena and Mafuyu are both apathetic in some way and just show that very differently. Just really interesting stuff lol

Now before you ask why Kanade isn’t here it’s because I frankly don’t like her enough to give her a ship?? Like Shiho and Mafuyu have grown on me, and even if Kohane isn’t my fav character either the staple of her and An is just so big that I ship it, and since Kanade is the only character I don’t like that’s left I haven’t had it in my heart to ship her with anybody. Lol sorry.

Now I just wait for the hate to rolllll in :3

I took my time to go through everything you listed, and it was nice to see them gradually getting closer. Excuse me if I ramble now since I have so many thoughts. When looking through the birthday cards, I was actually reminded that Ichika’s birthday is coming up! I checked her previous card and saw that Mafuyu did send a message, so I wonder if she will now? If so, what voice will she go with? Another thing I was reminded of with the birthday cards is an interesting detail in Mafuyu’s. Kanade apologizes to her privately for possibly revealing too much when advising Ichika and Honami what to get. It’s wild because they’re so close to Kanade and Mafuyu, and I’m so curious about how they’ll react to Mafuyu’s true self. They’re like at the edge. So many hints like how Mafuyu has shared a niigo video, and they know she’s the lyricist. Ichika understands the responsibility of being class representative (though she didn’t necessarily strive for the position). Honami parallels her as an honor student. They’ve had an event together! I’m gnawing- (1/)

PLEASE TELL ME YOU GOT THE LAST ASK BECAUSE MY INTERNET WAS LAGGING. But continuing on from there, reading the Draw Your Bow card stories again reminded me of why I’m saving for that event haha. I like to think it’s a nice memory for Mafuyu, and I hope she can sincerely open up to Shizuku one day. Random but I don’t know how likely this is, but I watched a prsk drum cover earlier and thought it’d be neat if somehow after Honami spots Mafuyu at Kanade’s (if it happens), she can improvise some spontaneous drumming with stuff around the kitchen. Her drumming has been described as calming before so you know? Is this a silly thought haha (2/2)

Ichika I imagine will get a well-wishing from Mafuyu, as both Ena and Mizuki came out to celebrate An, even with all that's going on. She just may not be in attendance for any direct celebrations, but they do share time together, as both class reps and with the results of Intersecting Melodies, as you say.

Mafuyu's circle of acquaintances has definitely expanded, even as it's only currently Niigo in the know, so chances are it'll take folk by surprise, but I'm sure they'll react kindly. They're on the path of becoming friends who know her and that she can rely on, even if right now I'd probably say it's still at a point where Mafuyu wouldn't be leaning on them. As is they're at a point where they have Maf go to Sekai when Honami comes over, but I do think we'll see more of Mafuyu interacting with the other group's music/performances, as we've gotten a bit before (her finding street music a bit loud but not hating it, WxS shows, stuff at festivals).

While I maybe don't see Honami doing just a drumming session for Maf at Kanade's house, I could see leo/need's music becoming a boon to Mafuyu. VBS is a little odd one out since they're more focused on creating an event, but every other groups share a commonality in their desire to reach people's hearts, give em hope. I think it would be a fun thing to have more music mixing. Actually, I'm reminded that in Shizuku's cards there's interaction with her and Mizuki that has the latter wondering about if Kanade could write an idol song (I'd imagine a ballad), then a collab could be possible, and given the writers' known propensity for setting up little interactions in the cards, I'm hopeful. it comes from my idolmaster days but i could absolutely see something akin to nemurihime in feel being thrown to the MMJ girls.

but circling back to the overall, i'm sure we'll see more of mafuyu opening up, the question is just of how, and i'm excited for the answers colopale has set up to provide~
