re-reading warrior cats Into the Wild because i'm running a one shot tomorrow for Halloween (after all, what's scarier than the ghost of fandoms you were into in elementary past?). it's a trip.

here are some notes:

"no balls no claws"

grey-paw is such a fanboycat over all the other cats as exposition and it's hilarious (he was my favorite back then, and still is now) also, not grey-paw fanboying over a rival clan's deputy that just died.

this is book one. this is read by elementary students.

"ah yes, cat racism"

final named characters kill count: 4 (that I noticed)

final kill count (named and unnamed): undetermined (including cat children)

amount of attempted murders on cat minors by cat adults: 7 (at least)

the phrase "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting" smacked me in the face back into elementary school.
