hihi!! could you do rei/layer dating headcanons please? thank you!!
with you!
ft. rei wakana
notes at the end!

she feels at ease with you.
when it comes you your usual days, rei would wait for you after school or after your work just so both of you could walk home together. you might stop by the park, if ever she (or you) has something in mind.
dates aren't super special— rei is an average girl in terms of class and wealth, and wouldn't be the type to spoil you at all. she values spending quality time with you, so dates are the casual cafe dates, at home dates, or wherever you wish to go.
if you want to go to the beach? she'll save up bit by bit for a trip. want to go to an amusement park? she's already booking tickets to the nearest one. a fan of horror houses? she'll go with you.
'anywhere's enjoyable with you around.' she would think.
personally to her? dates are more enjoyable at home, since most of what you can do is doing something simple, and really to her your enjoyment is what makes her happy.
she loves to sing, so if she has the time, she'll definitely learn your favorite song to play on the bass. if your favorite song is RAS's songs, then you're quite in luck— she knows how to play those very well. (she is the vocalist-bassist of the band, after all)
miscommunication can and will happen, mostly on her part though. fights are usually about wrongful communication of feelings, events, and schedules, but it gets sorted out quickly anyway. these fights are nothing physical or loud as you both try to keep calm with this sort of stuff
she's working on communicating her feelings properly, don't worry.
rei overworking is an issue to you, as it hurts her in the process as well. you make sure to check up on you, but don't worry— she doesn't forget most of your reminders. most. she works hard for the sake of the ones she loves, but really she needs to take care of herself more.
when she makes milk with honey mixed in, she'll make two servings for you. (if you're allergic or don't like it, she'll make your favorite drink instead.)
you're sadly not allowed in the studio, as chu2 wishes to keep all rehearsals private. this doesn't stop rei from telling you everything about rehearsal though, and giving you a backstage pass for concerts. she sometimes shows you what she had practiced there
during concerts you're always there to congratulate her backstage. she performa her absolute best knowing you're in the crowd.
she's not super showy with affection. pda is mostly done privately. she loves hand holding though, but she draws the line with long kisses. she's pretty shy about affection in front of her bandmates, though. mention anything about her being your girlfriend (or you being her girlfriend) in front of anyone in her band (ESPECIALLY masuki) she'll get flustered
rei gets a hard tease from masuki later. once you mention it once it will never stop. she might even tease you as well . all is lighthearted though— if any of you ask to stop she will
going public with your relationship was difficult, but there are people who fully supported you two. especially pareo. she's not rich, not all that open or the type to explore, but she's unique in her own way and that's exactly what made you love her.
also, she sends sparkly "good morning" text gifs.

Glass
[Gen][WOL (X’shasi Kilntreader) ♦ Urianger Augurelt][G][Swimming lessons][Heart-to-hearts between people not really given to heart-to-hearts][FFXIV 5.0][Post-MSQ]
This story contains ending/MSQ spoilers for FFXIV expansion 5.0, Shadowbringers.
[AO3 mirror]
Light filtered through the dome overhead to glitter upon the water, gentler now than it had been in a century. It was cooler in the Pendants than Shasi might have imagined, altitude and the flow of cool water wicking away much of the heat that the glass overhead trapped. She paused at the edge of the pool to slip her sandals off, swiping her toes through the water and glancing back.
“It feels alright,” she said. “The Brimming Heart is warmer, but we’ll make do.” “The Brimming Heart remaineth beyond my reach, alas,” Urianger muttered.
As strange as it had been to see him bare-armed in an astrologian’s garb, it was odder still to see yet more of him, his chest and calves bare. She had assumed he was simply modest, perhaps even shy, but the scholar seemed hale, his skin untouched by scars.
“You know, if you ever get invited to the beach, you can always just sit on a towel and read,” she said, grinning to herself as she turned away. “I think you’d do just fine, so long as you don’t mind being interrupted. Here, come stand on the edge with me. Take your sandals off.” “Would that it were so simple a matter as that,” Urianger sighed. “Knowest thou the most recent time any of our party had a moment’s leisure?” Shasi hummed thoughtfully, shifting her weight from one foot to the other as Urianger drew abreast of her. A half-dozen answers sprung to mind, most of them born of her absence for one reason or another. “Four years ago by your reckoning,” she said, “though somewhat shorter by mine, as we awaited the arrival of the Doman cohort to Ala Mhigo for talks. I could have taught you then, you know; the salt water of the Lochs makes a man buoyant as anything.” She lifted a hand to rake it through her hair. “Here, sit down.” Urianger did, folding his long limbs up underneath him. “Here I thought thee indisposed for much of that time, or dost thou deny that thou had taken up with Master Thancred?” She reached over to tap his knee. “Get your feet in the water,” she instructed. “There’s a bit of a current because I think this pool is spring-fed, and I want you to get used to it slowly.” She plunged her own feet into the water without hesitation, plucking at the drape of her pareo. “Thancred and I were spending time together, yes,” she said, “but not every waking moment. I still collected on a few hunt bills and saw to some other obligations …” Urianger shivered, his calf brushing hers as the current tugged at his limbs. He went rigid a moment later, jerking his foot away and gripping the pool’s edge. “And have the pair of you rekindled that relationship?” he asked. “Urianger,” she groaned, but gave no further answer.
The light on the water turned sunset-orange, the lattices of steel casting their shadows on the far wall. Shasi watched them lengthen and creep upward, looking anywhere but at her friend.
“No,” she said at last, drawing her knees up and getting her feet under her to stand. “Stay here. Don’t get in without me; I’ve just … forgotten something.” As well she had, she supposed, though as she turned to go, feeling the droplets of water roll over her calves, Urianger spoke again. “For what then did I give thee counsel?” he wondered. “For the future,” Shasi said, returning to where she had laid her belongings over a wooden chaise. Her pareo joined them a moment later, and she adjusted the waistband of her tanga. Among her things, she found the rubber bladder she had brought and stretched it between her hands, letting the material warm a bit. “The same reason I’m teaching you to swim now, so that when the moment comes you’ll know what to do.” “These things are hardly the same,” Urianger said. “You live in a harbor, Urianger,” she said. “It’s past time you learned to swim.”
She found the valve and fit her lips to it, taking a deep breath through her nose and began to inflate the ball. The rubber had been printed with a swirling pattern, which distended and paled as it grew. Urianger’s hands held fast to the edge of the pool, as though afraid the gentle flow of water might become a sudden deluge, and his grip was all that kept him from being swept away.
“It seemest that my skill in swimming—or more aptly my lack—is far more likely to come into contention at a moment not of my choosing,” Urianger said. “Whereas ’tis given to thee to choose thine own opportunities.” “Right,” Shasi said between breaths. “So … ’twere better done quickly … don’t you think?” She smiled at him, plugging the valve first with her thumb and then with a stopper of cork, forcing it down into the pliant rubber so that the ball was a perfect, uninterrupted round. She held it against one hip as she sat again, and then set it on the tiled floor beside the pool, stilling it with one hand. Then she gripped the edge of the pool and pushed herself in, sliding forward smoothly. Her feet touched the bottom easily enough, though the water reached mid-chest, lapping at her shoulders. She felt her hair prick up for a moment, surprised at the sudden enveloping feeling of coolness, but shook it off and turned back to look at Urianger. “Come on in,” she said. He looked at her, his dubious squint shifting the sage’s tattoo upon his cheek. “You can try to do it slowly,” she said. “Just hold onto the edge and lift yourself up, pushing forward so your legs are out in front of you. You’ll be able to stand, and I’m here to catch you.” “I should object to being so patronized,” he said, though there was a note of humor in his voice, “being not a child.” “No,” she agreed, “the child in our group is a stronger swimmer than you. Do you think Thancred taught her?” Shasi mused.
Urianger sloshed into the water a moment later, his knees buckling so that he sank chest deep into the water, though he stood quickly with a yelp. “You’re fine,” Shasi said. “It’s not that deep.” He blinked and seemed to recover a moment later, though he folded his arms across his chest as though he were cold. “As you say.” “I’m not going to ask you to do any swimming today, I just want you to get used to the water,” she said, not so much walking through the water as bouncing herself off the balls of her feet until she reached the side again, reaching up for the waiting ball. She turned around and tossed it lightly at Urianger, who stood upstream of her. By reflex he caught it, and tossed it back.
She liked the feeling of the water around her—the lightness it engendered. It felt much the same as red magic, in a strange way—the feeling of physical resistance to her movements contrasted with the weightlessness that let her spring upward, pushing off the bottom to stretch her arms up and catch the ball, landing with a splash. He missed her return volley, and the ball landed with a soft plop atop the water, the gentle current pushing it back toward Shasi, who cut across the pool to intercept.
Urianger moved stiffly at first, seeming to fight for balance in the water, unused to the dragging sensation. Eventually he seemed to warm to it, leading with his side to reduce resistance, and using what buoyancy was afforded him to take springing steps.
Soon—perhaps too soon, though perhaps it always would be—he was comfortable enough to speak as they batted the ball back and forth. “When wilt thou know?” he asked, water sloshing about him as he leapt upward, tossing the ball into the air. Shasi lunged after it, half-submerging her face in the water as she outstretched her arms. “Know what?” “That thy perfect opportunity is at hand?” Shasi tossed the ball upward lightly and slapped it with an open palm. “I’ll know,” she said. The ball caught Urianger squarely in the chest, and he simply wrapped his arms around it. He spun it in one hand, regarding its movements like an orrery, and then he looked at her. “Thou wert nearly lost to us,” Urianger said, “and all my plans for naught.” He tossed the ball lightly, but it fell into the water well short of her. She let it drift, setting a hand on it and staring down at it rather than look upon his face as she spoke. “They weren’t your plans,” she said, an ear flicking. “I adopted them readily enough as mine own,” he said, “and bear the blame for both their execution and their failure.” She closed her eyes a moment, lifting the ball overhead. It dripped water on her face, but she simply shook her head, bent her arms, and threw with all her might. “You do not,” she insisted. There was an urgent rush of water, and when Shasi opened her eyes she saw Urianger half-folded about the ball, cradling it against his chest as though it were precious. “I will grant thee this concession, it being immaterial to my point,” he said. “Perhaps ’tis less urgent to apportion blame when I sought only to remind thee of thy mortality.” Shasi laughed, dry and brittle, remembering at last that he did not, could not know what had happened at Ghimlyt. None of them could know; she had returned Alisaie to the infirmary herself before facing Elidibus. Before she had died, by all accounts, only to awaken in a hospital herself. But laughter died a moment later upon her lips when she stopped to wonder what would have happened had the Wardens’ light broken free in truth. Could Hydaelyn have withdrawn her blessing? Or would the First have been benighted by an immortal being, more terrible in its radiance than all the foes she had slain before?
“Shasi,” Urianger said, and she started. Shaking herself from her thoughts, she saw the concern in his face and then his empty arms. She turned her head to look over her shoulder, and found the ball had drifted some ways into deeper water. “I’ll get it,” she said.
Before Urianger had a moment to react, Shasi turned around, diving forward and swimming down to the far end of the pool. If he said anything it was lost in the rush of water and the sound of her kicking. It was a brief sojourn out, and only somewhat longer on the way back with only one arm to aid her, but soon she stood beside him, holding the ball atop the water in front of her. “I think that’s enough for today,” she said. She tossed the ball up onto the tiles and hauled herself up to sit on the edge, offering Urianger a hand up after her.
“Forgive me if I overstep myself,” Urianger said, “but thou hast placed thy trust in me again and again over the years, and I prithee do so now.” “What is it?” she asked, lifting her hands to sweep them back over her hair, which had been plastered to her forehead and now hung damp over the curve of her scalp. “Whilst I prepared the auracite for thine usage, I had cause and time both to reflect upon the course of my life,” he said. “My sin has been action oft enough, ’tis true, but my greatest regret is born instead of inaction. I would see thee benefit from mine own experience and succumb not to the same pitfall.” “It’s alright that you still miss her,” Shasi said softly. “Thou awaitest a perfect opportunity, but it will not come,” Urianger said, his voice just as hushed. “There exist no perfect moments—only moments. Demur not overlong waiting for a better opportunity, lest thou findest thyself at the end of them, and thine hopes turned to ash.” “But what if …” “Thou’rt different?” he asked, and there was a note of humor in his tone. “When thou put that question to me moons ago I told thee that thou wert yet the same, for I thought ’twould be a comfort to thee. Thou art different,” he said. “Master Thancred is different also. So too am I; that is the nature of living and the doom of the Ascian utopia both.” “I’m not certain that’s the comfort you think,” she sighed, unplugging the valve and hugging the ball to herself to deflate it. “Thou art not so different, nor is he so much changed by his ordeal that you should not recognize one another.” “You’re so sure, are you?” Shasi asked, pushing herself to her feet. “There are few certitudes in life,” Urianger said. “But thine happiness is worth the risk.”
She slipped her sandals on, and scuffled back toward her belongings. “Time’s up,” she said. “’Tis past time,” Urianger agreed, and he touched her shoulder on his way out.

18/01/10 - Muishiki no Iro Release Day Noon Live Report
I went to the Muishiki no Iro release live on January 10 at Zepp Nagoya. There were two lives that day, one in the afternoon starting at 4pm and the other at night starting at 7:30pm. The doors opened an hour before then.
I actually failed my applications for both of those times online and I really felt bad since those lives were on Maya’s birthday. You could apply to both and up to two tickets, but I only applied for one ticket. What most people did was pair up with a friend and apply for two tickets each. That way if one got in they could give it to the other. Unfortunately this created a surplus of tickets for people who already had some, and I got none. I bought my ticket on Yahoo Auctions but I initially was really skeptical about it since the ticket said you needed to provide three pieces of ID and all the sellers crossed off a part on the ticket. I thought they crossed out names but they were crossing out the specific number as well as the place they printed the ticket from. After verifying with a friend I bought my ticket and the buyer mailed it to me.
Unfortunately that ticket’s number was in the 1700s, which meant I was one of the last to get in. I think there were 2000 tickets given out in total for each live. This ticket was for the afternoon live and I didn’t get one for the evening live since all the other sellers looked suspicious and didn’t offer a rapid means of sending the ticket.
You needed to buy a Muishiki no Iro limited edition single for the ticket inside for the event, since it was free (for those who got their tickets legitimately). I went to HMV to buy the single since you get a guaranteed picture of Churi there. Of course I got Maya as the random member inside! 3600 people went to the two lives, meaning there were 400 tickets unused.
I got lost and arrived at Zepp about thirty minutes before it started, which was much later than I wanted. It turns out that they were still letting people in the 1200s in at that point, so it really didn’t matter. I met some people in the line who I met two years ago during my first handshakes in Osaka. I hadn’t talked to them much but they remembered I was Canadian and was a Churi oshi. As usual I was called a DD when I told them I like Maya too. It’s funny how easily people remember me since I look different. I know some Japanese fans who go to countless events and yet their fellow fans don’t even recognize them lol.
I actually thought that my ticket number was an assigned spot/seat, however it was a first come first served basis. Zepp’s ground floor is all standing, but there is a small seated section on the second floor. When I got in I entered one of the doors in the back of the venue and I couldn’t see anything at all since I was among the last to enter. I asked some staff if I could go up but the seats were totally filled so I couldn’t go there. They don’t let anyone stand up there.
This was my original view:
Not a lot of fun right? I left and entered the next door. There are several doors that give access to the hall on both sides, so I sort of tried them out to see where there were less people. Surprisingly the one second from the last had the best view for me.
Here is a picture taken during the first MC. I circled myself. You can draw a straight line from me to Maya on this picture I guess. Isn’t that cool?
By the way, there was a reserved section for women near the front on the right side. I knew a few people who stood there and they said they had an amazing view. I think I had a good view where I was since I was behind them, and as women tend to be shorter than men I had a good view of half of the stage. I really couldn’t see the right side though.
This live had a much different atmosphere to it than the Laguna one I went to. Given the fact that we were in a room with closed doors and a roof rather than outdoors the calls were much louder, as was the recorded music. The Laguna live felt like they were singing live for certain songs but here the sound quality was pretty poor, as was expected. Women were much more visible at the Laguna live since there wasn’t a designated section for them there. It felt like the crowd was even more overwhelmingly male (which it always is) due to this.
Nakki and Maya were the shadow announcers for the beginning, so I got to wish her a happy birthday when she asked us to wish her one. I was happy I got to do that at least.
M01 - Muishiki no Iro / Senbatsu
No surprise here for the first song. I actually hadn’t planned it out, but I was perfectly situated to see Maya on the stage, since I was right in front of her position for this song. Unfortunately I couldn’t see Churi since she was on the other side of the stage. I had come to support them both but since it was Maya’s birthday I just had my green penlight, and Churi couldn’t see me anyway.
M02 - SKE48 / All
This song is a lot of fun in a group. The part where everyone says S-K-E / 4-8 is great. I could see Maya perfectly for this song too, and it may have been my imagination but I think she saw me during this song.
MC1
The senbatsu members left for this. I think I have a big problem paying attention to MCs during these bigger events. I’ll just go ahead and admit it, whenever I can’t see the member who is talking I zone out and just think about Maya and the previous songs. Actually during this MC Yukichan/Chikako/Juna/Yumana were ahead of me so I just looked at them while daydreaming. Chikako is pretty interesting to look at during lives, since she tries to find as many of her fans as possible. She was also constantly talking with Juna and Yukichan and Yumana was making confused expressions and trying to follow along. I think Chikako found about twenty of her fans during this MC, and that group was just constantly chatting since they weren’t part of the talking group. It was pretty entertaining, like watching some students talk during class when they’ve finished their homework and have nothing to do.
This was also the first live I went to where I was near one of those screamers you hear. The ones who yell in a really shrill voice at all times. They look and act just as you’d expect. This guy was shouting Jurina’s name every single time she was there and he left in a rush after it ended.
M03 - Tsuyokimonoyo / Senbatsu
No guesses for what happened during this song. Again, Maya was in my view so I just stuck to her the entire time.
M04 - Aozora Kataomoi / Jurina, Minarun, Sarina, Churi, Nao, Kaotan, Akarin
Alright, so they got rid of Maya so I can focus on Churi for this song, except she was still on the other side of the stage. I kept angling my neck around for this song to try and look at her but no luck. I sort of looked at the screen for this song since it was hard to look at the middle of the stage. Anyway, great song live.
M05 - Gomen ne, Summer / Rara, Ryoha, Ego, Yunana, Sakipon, Kumachan, Maya
We’re back baby … we’re back. No need to try and angle my neck around for this song because once again she stood in the perfect place for me. Nothing to add that hasn’t been said before… just perfect.
M06 - 1!2!3!4! Yoroshiku! / Minarun, Akarin, Wanchan, Piyosu, Suzuran, Oshirin, Yumana, Nao, Reona, Nakki, Rara, Makiko, Ouchan, Donchan, Nonochan, Morihei Riko
I think this is my favourite live song out of the better known single songs they perform, it’s got a lot of energy. I didn’t even really pay attention to who was there, I was just calling out everyone’s name and enjoying myself.
M07 - Banzai Venus / Sakipon, Yuzuki, Renahyuu, Piyosu, Kocchan, Sarina, Yumana, Nacchi, Kaotan, Airi, Yukatan, Naruchan, Satokaho, Maya, Hatagon, Tani
I spent the first thirty seconds of the song trying to see if Maya was in it. When I found her I was on lock-on mode and she thankfully stayed near my side for this song. She was really funny during this song, making a lot of faces and laughing.
MC2 - Kamimura Ayuka, Aiai, Kano, Oshirin, Mikotti, Yuzuki, Kaotan, Nakki, Makiko, Tani
The matome site tells me that they were talking about bonus scenes for the MVs. I remember Makiko saying something funny but let’s be real, I was daydreaming again.
M08 - Handshaeteki Suru / Love Crescendo
Unfortunately Maya was on the opposite side for most of this song, but I mustered my energy, craned my head, used my toes, and made every possible effort to look at her for this song. It sort of worked.
M09 - Because Docchitsukazu / Kosanga 7 (Tani center)
This unit doesn’t have an MV but they’re great. I like how they gave Suzuran an outfit to show off her shoulders. This was great to watch since they won’t get much exposure.
M10 - Furanu Romance / Sakura Love Letter 32 (Ouchan center)
First time I heard the 32 person song. It is a lot to take in live due to the amount of members but it’s fun. Honestly it was a bit of a sensory overload since I was trying to keep track of as many members as I could.
MC3 - Ryoha, Ego, Yunana, Ruka, Sarina, Nao, Kumachan
Same old story.
M11 - Pareo wa Emerald / Kenkyuusei (Inoue Ruka center)
A real treat to see the kenkyuusei do this song. It just felt like the perfect performance for them, even if this song has been done a million times and will be done a million more. It fit the moment and all the members looked great from where I was standing.
M12 - Okidoki / Kamimura Ayuka, Aiai, Piyosu, Suzuran, Mikotti, Narupi, Honono, Reona, Narucham, Makiko, Ouchan, Maya, Akarin, Saanan, Tani, Donchan
Just like 1234 Yoroshiku this song also pumps me up a lot, regardless of the timing. It was nice that Maya was there, and in a place I could see her well too. She was really lively during this song and kept looking around my area during the parts where they pump their fists.
M13 - Kataomoi Finally / KII
Wow! Was this the first time I saw Churi in Katafai? I actually had a lot of trouble seeing her since she was in the center, but I didn’t want to miss her so I kept looking at the screen for this song. It took something away from my viewing experience but I wanted to view the performance in its entirety. It was everything I expected.
M14 - Aishiteraburu! / Yokonyan, Chikako, Juna, Oshirin, Yukichan, Ayamelo, Kitano Ruka, Sarina, Sakipon, Yuzuki, Reona, Nakki, Kumachan, Saanan, Tani, Donchan
I don’t really like this song but I had a ton of fun with the calls! I was zoning out a bit in terms of the members and just looked ahead of me at whoever happened to be there.
M15 - Kiss datte Hidarikiki / Yokonyan, Makiko, Ego, Yunana, Renahyuu, Inoue Ruka, Kano, Miyo, Machi, Chikako, Kitano Ruka, Sakipon, Airi, Yukatan, Maya, Saanan
I was pretty tired at this point. It took me a while to locate Maya I think. This song is pretty boring live, but again, I just looked at Maya.
MC4 / Everyone
They handed out some signed posters during this MC. They designated members for each of the teams to reach into a box and pull out ticket numbers. I didn’t know where my ticket was so I was searching for it the whole time. Turns out it was in my pocket. My number wasn’t called anyway. The posters were signed by the team which drew the number.
M16 - Muishiki no Iro / All
I was a bit surprised. I was expecting Igai ni Mango but whatever. I didn’t mind hearing it again, given that the event was for this song’s release. Everyone was there this time so it was a bit harder to see Maya but she was in my field of vision still. I had no view of Churi as usual.
Maya stayed near our area for the end. Just like last time she tried to find her fans. She started with the people on the right/middle of the audience, but there seemed to be fewer there. Most of the fans were around the left side it seems. There were a lot of people, but she waved at me, pointing out my lightstick and smiling. I don’t know if she saw who I was but she noticed the lightstick for sure. I think that the benefit of being on the ground floor over the second floor is that the members wave to you first. It is rather hard to see the top seats I suppose.
This live was a complete change from Laguna in that this live only had group songs and no small units. I’m glad I got to experience these two different kind of lives. I also technically saw Churi at a SKE concert/live so I can cross that off my list, although I’d much prefer being somewhere where I could see her properly.
Afterwards I met people who were going to the evening live. From their accounts it seemed like a lot of fun, especially since they addressed Maya’s birthday a lot more. I also saw people on Twitter write accounts of them seeing members leave afterwards. Churi had to leave immediately afterwards with Ryoha and Akarin for ANN. As a side note, my green lightstick is bent now. I don’t know the reason but maybe it is a sign that I am excited by Maya’s presence lol.

also, the more we are dealing with an individual with an inheritance of emanations, of non-homogeneous penchants or breaking points, not bound together, moving as demonstrated by the social setting in which it is brought to develop. [4]

The first (Sonia) shows a remarkable disdain for plan, diamonds, beauty care products and haircut, but, it can't, it shows up, can not help anyway give standard thought to her greatness. The second (Léa) considers the to be of the body as a certified and charming development yet the sensible penchants that she has set up elsewhere are not entirely a prevention to her yearning to improve herself.Subsequent to delineating how these youngsters address the beautification work and how they continue right now practice, I will attempt to highlight the conditions of socialization which made possible such a gap among depictions and practices. To this end, I will be enthusiastic about the action of three authorities inclined to expect a vocation in the genuine socialization of youngsters - peers, the media and guardians [6]

Léa is a solitary youth. The people from his increasingly far off family live… - and I will attempt to show how these different pros have added to shaping the practices and depictions of the respondents in regards to the matter of beautification [7]

7At a couple centers during the assessment, I could hear Sonia introducing herself as a horrendous youngster and imparting disdain for the beautification work. A brief scene found in class sets up a first depiction:

Friday 4:30 p.m., the understudies are dealing with their things and planning to get back
In the disturbance that goes before the hour of the outing, the expert reminds that the class photo will happen the following Monday, and he jokes that the youngsters are drawn nearer to make themselves superb for this occasion: "So Monday is the class photo. So youngsters, you won't disregard to make yourself beautiful and put your pink pulls back from hair! »The hullabaloo ends up being logically genuine, a couple of children chuckle or smile, and Sonia kicks off out loud:« No, it is more intelligent to make the missed youngsters! "
[Field journal of March 28, 2003.]
9During the gathering, Sonia again and again raises comparatively that she isn't enthused about her greatness.
She explains that she "couldn't care less for" putting on beauty care products; she says she isn't enthused about pieces of clothing and structure; she also says that she "couldn't care less the smallest piece" about her haircut.
10To acknowledge this presentation of herself, Sonia would along these lines simply have disdain for created by decorating the body. Regardless, the gathering and field observations show that, essentially, she ponders her wonderfulness more than these talks would suggest.
So apparently Sonia doesn't "care at" about her haircut. If she much of the time leaves her semi-long hair free, it moreover happens that she on occasion brushes her hair with a couple of little networks tied with tinted adaptable gatherings. She in like manner had her streaks colored in March, and this distinction in hair style obviously fulfilled her. The following week, the expert in actuality uncovers to me how Sonia carried on the essential day she came to class with her locks,
also, whether or not this record in all probability contains a segment of adornment (the unforeseen tone of the teacher shows that he was indisputably aggravated by the direct of his understudy), it before long leaves no vulnerability about the pleasure and the pride felt by Sonia that day. The instructor explains that she didn't stop chatting with her neighbors to uncover to them how "her mother's friend"
had her streaks, and that she in like manner moved around the examination lobby a ton without agree to go give her woman companions her hair.
11Similarly, Sonia is far from impassive in regards to the elegant appearance of her articles of clothing.
At school, she reliably wears outfits that eagerly follow the polite style existing separated from everything else - T-shirts from the DDP brand , a short pale pink tank top, trumpet pants (excluding an erratically cleaned particularly elegant) ,
or on the other hand even sock sweaters (checking one from the Lulu Castagnette brand ). Sonia has express clothing essentials (she says herself that she is "irksome"), and when her mother gets her pieces of clothing that she doesn't care for [9]
[9]
Madame D. buys only her daughter's pieces of clothing., she productively won't wear them:
12
[When my mother brings me pieces of clothing back] she doesn't quickly expel the ticket, since she hasn't the faintest idea whether I'm going to like it. [… ] Sometimes she keeps them
[the clothes], considering the way that she can't be certain whether I have to put them on… But if she sees that I am not putting them on, she brings them back.
13The way Sonia is dressed upon the appearance of the gathering is itself revealing of the thought she pays to her dress appearance. That day, Sonia went to the pool close to the beginning of the night she notwithstanding everything wears her swimming outfit when I appear at her home;
regardless, it's definitely not a one-piece swimsuit for an exuberant swimmer, yet a particularly flirtatious outfit, made out of an abroad blue bathing suit and a short, variegated pareo of a comparable concealing.
Evaluation of Sonia's case subsequently reveals a particular difference between her disdain for created by decorating the body and her genuine practices, and this irregularity can be deciphered as a result of the way that the mandates directed to her subject of its greatness are to some degree restricting.
Make sense of how to hate the beautification work
14First, Sonia grew up with a father who continually encouraged her to hold onto socially described practices as masculine.
For example, he chose her in a Viet Vo Dao club - a game he practices himself - at six years of age; he moreover took her to a soccer coordinate for her e

17/10/28 - Nagoya Dome handshake event report
I went to the national (zenkoku) handshake event at Nagoya Dome on 28 October. AKB(+Team 8), SKE and HKT were present, although SKE had the most members present. I had five tickets I got from Igai ni Mango CDs.
The way these handshake events work is that you don’t need to buy a single in advance with your name on it. You just get the tickets from CDs or buy them from others or get them given by a friend. So long as you get a ticket you can get a handshake. Given this and that there were three groups, a lot of people came to this event. I got there an hour before things were scheduled to start but I was shocked at the sheer number of people. I was initially confused as I saw a lot of girls and children, way too many for it to be one of these events, I thought. Well I was wrong, they had a line specifically for women and children. Still, the sheer number was surprising, since you get the feeling that most fans are male, even if I see quite a few women at events.
I got in the queue for people with tickets, as there was also a line for people who wanted to see the event who didn’t have a ticket. (You could just come for free but not participate in the handshakes) Anyway I got a (randomized) seat for the mini live on the fifth floor, the very top of the stadium, but one of the guys I spoke to later said he got in the line without a ticket and got ground seats. There was also a section near the stage, where the baseball field usually is, and those people were standing.
The first thing on the menu was a mini live. I was super interested in the mini live since I never heard much about them other than that they do them at these events and I wanted to see them perform. It was scheduled at 12:30 but began at nearly 12:50. It ended at 2:20! For a supposedly “mini” live that’s quite long!
It began with a video on the screens talking about how Oya Masana will graduate soon, and then she performed her solo song, Eien Legacy. Jurina came in during the last part of the song and then all the other SKE members came on the stage. They talked very briefly and left. Then the overtime came on, which was weird since there were three groups in the overture.
Then every single member appeared on stage! I think there were 180~in total! It started with Kibouteki Refrain. For brevity’s sake I won’t go into the other groups’ songs.
If you want to see the complete setlist go here:
http://ske48matome.net/archives/50990052.html
As you can see, SKE came on and performed Igai ni Mango, Oki Doki, and Pareo. This was the first time I heard any of these songs live so it was cool! It was also my first time seeing Churi on a stage live. I couldn’t see the members well since I was so far up but I made sure to track Churi when she was there. Also, Jurina mentioned that last time SKE was in Nagoya Dome the fans turned their penlights orange, so everyone did that, which was neat.
The staff had cameras so these three big screens around the stadium showed them up close for those of us who couldn’t see them well. I didn’t really know much of the HKT songs but I knew the AKB ones. I was surprised by how loud the crowd got for the Team 8 song, I hadn’t heard it before but it seems to have a lot of calls. SKE got the biggest reaction from the crowd, as you might expect. AKB performed 11gatsu no Anklet at the end and then all the groups came out again. This time they went around the floor and threw signed balls and fired those T-shirt guns. Of course I was too far up to get one but it was still fun to see. After the members left we got to see the music videos for 11gatsu no Anklet and Sayonara de Owaru wake janai, Mayu’s graduation single and song.
After the mini live the lanes started to be set up. They were scheduled to start around 3:00 so I had some time to kill and walked around the stadium. I then met up with some fellow Churi oshis. It was nice to see some familiar faces and talk with my friends after a while. They were setting up the seitansai stuff at handshake events. See my previous post if you want to give Churi a message for her birthday. I’ll write it down for you.
I then went with some Churi oshis to the Nemousu lane. It opened at 3:00, queueing ended at 3:20 and it was scheduled to end at 3:30. I actually didn’t want to go to this lane at first, even if Churi was there, since five other members were there which meant you had very little time per member. I had limited tickets to start with, so I was more willing to use them on other lanes but I sort of got into the mood since I was talking with the others and they asked me to. The other members in this lane were: Oda Ayaka, Murakawa Vivian, Miyazaki Miho, Oya Shizuka, and Saito Makiko.
The first two HKT girls were actually really nice to me, Oda (I didn’t know who she was at the time) asked me where I came from and gave me a good reaction, and Vivian spoke to me in English. Unfortunately I got a death glare from Myao and Oya didn’t say anything so I just said hello and moved on. It’s not like you can say much apart from a hello and bye, since you get approximately 1-2 seconds per member. There’s a lot of staff behind you that try to move you around like a conveyor belt.
Although I read that Makiko was in the lane it didn’t quite hit me until I was holding her hand and I didn’t say anything apart from a hello. I remember wanting to tell her thanks for all her work as captain, but I forgot at the time and I probably wouldn’t have had the time. Thankfully, Churi was last, which meant we got slightly more time. She seemed shocked and happy when she saw me. She told me “Ya-ho, long time no see”, and I was just completely shocked and asked her if she remembered me and she said of course she did. Then I had to wave bye. I guess you could be cynical and say she said that just to make me happy, but it seemed like she really did remember me.
Apparently there were two lanes with 48 members each. If six people went by this quickly, can’t imagine how quickly that went. I then wanted to go see Chikako, since she had asked me to speak English with her and had been really nice to me. However everyone told me that those three people lanes were like the lane we had just gone in, which meant I wouldn’t have much time. Perhaps I could have gotten more time, but at that point I wasn’t sure. I would have gone anyway, but Churi, Minarun, Kaotan and Makiko were appearing on the main stage right after, to participate in this variety show-style stage, which I didn’t know about. It was hosted by Ijiri Okada, the guy who appeared on AKB shows and hosts Nogibingo. It was totally unexpected but pretty cool to see him in person. My friends asked me to go and since it didn’t cost any tickets and had these members in it I thought I might as well. I’m glad I did, because it was really funny. It lasted for just a bit more than an hour, from 4:00 to 5:10~ if I remember correctly.
The theme of this game was that the members from the two Nemousu lanes (so the one I went to and another one), would compete against each other in various topics. There was a board and members chose a tile, under which was the challenge. Each group sent a representative, and if they lost they had a gun fire cream in their face. Afterwards they needed to be replaced by another representative.
The first challenge was to guess what suit the card (which they couldn’t see) belonged to. Minarun was up for SKE and she got it right, as did the AKB member but the HKT one lost.
The second challenge was to guess which the HKT member based on a picture of their mouth area. The first person was Matsuoka Hana, which everyone got correctly, but the second was Kojina Yui, which everyone but the HKT member got wrong, so Minarun was eliminated.
The third challenge was to draw a picture of Mayu. Makiko went up, and I thought her drawing was decent, but the people in the crowd who voted didn’t think so and the AKB member won.
The fourth challenge was to arrange some AKB singles in chronological order, but Imamura Maria asked Ijiri for some help since it was unfair for the AKB team, so he allowed HKT and SKE to have their teammates help. This wasn’t really fair, because Minarun used to be in AKB. It didn’t seem like the AKB team was playing fair either, since Myao kept showing her board to her teammates. Anyway, SKE was the only team who got it right thanks to Minarun.
The fifth challenge was a monomane battle, where members used objects to try and be funny. Kaotan won this easily, making a ton of dirty jokes, but the other two teams were tied and Chori from AKB won the tiebreaker.
In the final challenge Kaotan and Chori had to guess which of two melons was worth 500 yen and which one was worth 15000 yen. Kaotan wasn’t sure, but she said that the one that didn’t taste as good and wasn’t as juicy had to be the one worth more, whereas Chori thought that the one that tasted better should naturally be worth more. Churi seemed to think it was the one that didn’t taste as good, so I had a good feeling when Kaotan chose that one, and indeed she won.
This gave SKE the victory, however Churi hadn’t participated yet, and as any law of Japanese variety would dictate, she had to be punished for doing nothing wrong at all, along with Kaotan who won. So in the end everyone had cream on their faces. Afterwards, the staff brought out two wooden-looking foam rectangles with AKB48 and HKT48 written on them. The SKE members then kicked and punched and tore them down, to the crowd’s bloodthirsty cheers and rousing satisfaction. Minarun was told to break the AKB one and said she couldn’t and she wouldn’t betray them, but in the end she seemed to delight in the massacre the most and broke it into a lot of pieces. I guess this is the apex of tribalism but it was good fun.
In the end I was happy to have seen this rather than go to another lane. It was fun and I got to sit down the entire time and watch them do variety live. I took a break after and went back into the main area before 6:00, when the final lanes were scheduled to start.
For the final handshake you cannot do a loop in the line due to the number of others. You instead hand in all the tickets you want to use in one lump. Due to this many fans want to line up as soon as they can, so they don’t miss the cutoff. Unfortunately things took a turn for the worse here.
The stadium was to announce lanes on a giant screen, like you would see during a baseball game. While they displayed AKB and HKT members’ lanes perfectly, there were technical issues with the SKE information. Although we briefly saw it at the start, only a few members were listed. There was also no information given through an intercom or from staff walking around. You had to walk around and try to find the lane, which wasn’t that easy since the area was divided in two and there were tons of people. To make matters worse, the lane information was not the same as it had been online. For instance, Churi’s lane was listed as #14-4 online, but in reality she was at #20-4. The final number indicates that there were three previous groups of handshakes at that lane before her. Given this confusion, people had to rely on Twitter and people they knew to try and figure out where the lanes were. I was lucky since I was with a large group of Churi oshis and one of them asked the staff where the lane would be and people kept patrolling to make sure. It would have really sucked to have been alone and try to deal with this myself. Unfortunately, some people missed their lanes due to this.
When I was lining up for Churi’s lane I saw Naru give a long handshake to this girl who was crying. This happened in this empty lane that seemed to be there for people with handicaps. At first I didn’t’ know what was going on but I later found out that she had missed her handshake with Naru due to the technical difficulties. I don’t know the story, but I assume that Naru was nice enough to come back, and Naru patted the girl on the head and waved a lot to her. It was really nice to see, but I felt bad for the other people outside of that lane. They seem to have been in the same situation and were speaking to an Avex staff member. I don’t know if they reached a sort of agreement but I didn’t see any other member go to that lane afterwards.
Anyway, I had my handshake with Churi. Right before I received an extra ticket from a mystery source. It looked like everyone around me was getting an extra ticket, so I’m grateful to whoever it was. Handshakes for individual (kobetsu) handshakes are usually 10 seconds long but this time I had maybe 5 seconds per ticket. I think I got 25-30 seconds total. I wasn’t nervous in the previous handshake, but this time I felt a bit nervous since the wait was really long. She was wearing a tiara with the Igai ni Mango sailor outfit. Just like last year, she gave me time to say everything I wanted and was patient. To others it may seem like she doesn’t really interact with people, but I really appreciate that she gives me the time to say what I want, and she reacts to what I say by nodding and through her facial expressions. I told her I’d be going to her play and other events and that I’m currently living in Japan, among other things, and she thanked me for my support and waved me bye. I stayed around for the send off and waved her bye.
At the same time as Churi’s lane ended Mayu was dancing around in her lane on the other side, so I got to see her a bit. Everyone gathered there was chanting Ma-yu-yu. I don’t know how many people there were but there were a ton. I want to say a thousand but maybe that’s too much.
Anyway, I’m really glad I went to this event! I’m always a bit worried about how handshake events will go given that I can’t spend much money on these events, but I had plenty to do with what little I spent. I do regret not seeing Chikako so I will try and see her if there is another individual handshake event in Nagoya. It was just awesome to see Churi again after all this time.
