im hesitant to wholeheartedly identify with anarchocommunism bcuz even if it describes my agreement with both anarchist and communist principles and ideology, it usually implies some I'm Not Like Other Commies type mindset or looking down on Tankies whatever that means.
for me it means i agree with transitioning to a communist state but see the eventual dissolution of government and hierarchy as the like. Endgame for a humane existence as a positive basically. the existence of any group of people that are by definition above others and in control of their livelihood just does not mesh with my morals at all, but im not brainwashed by propaganda anymore to believe communist states are Worse or even As Bad as capitalist ones, in fact generally they are BETTER by a whole lot just speaking on the material conditions of the people, and achieving communism on a more universal level is the immediate goal for me.
none of that is at odds with my belief in anarchy or anarchist practices in my eyes though, because anarchist action at least as ive seen it is focused on what makes the here and now better and less under control of the government with a goal of flattening out hierarchy while improving conditions of the people, with the eventual goal of a community that is organized via at-will engagement and decentralization of the things typically gatekept for power with democratic committees. and that can be my end goal and/or smallscale goal without forcing me against/at odds with other schools of communist thought and the immediate goal of a communist state.
this is similarly why i don't feel at odds inherently with demsocs right out the gate unless they prove themselves to not be 'comrades', because i do find trying to get some immediate relief and comfort to be a worthy goal that can help people and not necessarily distract from direct action or organization

Okay, I'm having a problem responding to my anons, so I'll just do it in post form.
Tumblr media
Before I start: I am an Asian settler on unceded Lenape land. Thus, if I am in any way overstepping my boundaries in this post, PLEASE let me know and I will correct myself.
Hi anon! I encourage you to do your own reading and research, however here are some resource that I think might be helpful.
The Anarchist Library is an online database of anarchist writings. The classic is The Conquest of Bread by Pyotr Kropotkin (albeit somewhat controversial). Researching other prominent 20th century anarchists is probably also not a bad thing to do (Emma Goldman, Votairine de Cleyre, etc.) but I'm not too caught up in it because I prefer to read the words of radicals in the here and now.
Follow the Instagram accounts@/theindigenousanarchist, libertysocfr, decoloniza; and tumblr accounts @/anarchist-communism and decolonizing-the-left.
Youtubers Thoughtslime and NonCompete give easy inroads into anarchism but definitely do more than just browse their videos. I especially encourage researching non-white anarchy movements.
In general, though, I'd say that you can't look at anarchism as an ideology in a bubble. Research anti-imperialism and #landback. Anything that has to do with the radical reconstruction of society. Instagram accounts that are not specifically anarchist but that I still encourage you to look into/follow include @/zoe4revolution, nowhitesaviors, sassy_latte, anticonquista, leftnortheast, decolonizingtherapy, and more. The Storyteller on Youtube has good videos on the topic of Black liberation. The Marxists Internet Archive is a resource similar to The Anarchist Library but for Marxist thought.
If you're surprised that I'm not listing strictly "academic" sources, I think it's important that knowledge isn't kept behind the barrier of (white) academia. It's also important to decenter whiteness and center Black and Indigenous voices in discussion of radical politics. (Also most of these people list their sources lol.) Read your theory, but also engage with the revolution by sharing/donating to mutual aid funds, organizing in your community, etc.
I'll come back with book recs at some later point in time. Someone remind me to do that.
(Also, I'm still not sure where I fit in in the communist-sphere yet, so I generally call myself a communist instead of labelling myself as an anarchist/ML/what have you. I am not perfect; there's a lot I need to learn and a lot I'm shortsighted about. If anyone has corrections or suggestions to offer on what I've written here, please let me know.)

The Witch is Back (Hopefully)
Tumblr media
I realize that my original content dropped off a long while ago and then I stopped sharing in general. I will say I took a year off from my spirituality holding such a high priority in my life in order for me to sort shit out.
I have a lot of feelings about New Age spirituality which I will be addressing in my thread of Messy Confessions. Besides this disillusionment, I’ve reached new areas of the community where I feel that I can truly learn from my peers. That has resurged my curiosity, fostering a renewed desire to continue my research. I’m no longer directionless. My path ahead has become clear.
Mud on my boots; I move on.
Some things will change. Firstly, I will not be writing about my personal spells and rituals anymore. Restricting myself from sharing that part of my craft has revealed an honestly with myself. I will not perform for aesthetics. I allow myself a space to exist wholehearted.
Secondly, I take a greater responsibility to reflect on the CA in my own practice and studying with a more critical lens. Spirituality is political, - no that doesn’t just mean hexing world leaders but you do you - and I will not participate in ignorance. This will require me to broaden my resources and take a backseat, listening and learning. I won’t be writing out lectures, but if I do my research correctly I’ll be able to share proficient resources from appropriate voices.
Thirdly, here on witchblr we talk a lot about the different kinds of witchcraft. You’ll find those labels difficult to place on my blog. My structure will change in my original posts. My spirituality has become a combination of historical and cultural research, traditions, art, literature, psychology, and health. You might see topics that don’t always seem to fit with “witchcraft” but I promise it will be relevant to my specific practice.
As you may have noticed, I’ve started researching Norse traditions and Runes. I have a strong interest in the folklore that I can trace my heritage back to. Therefore, any Norse, Germanic, or Slavic resources are welcome. I’m here to share and collect, to communicate and connect. As much as this blog is an archive, it’s also an avenue for open discussion. I’m not interested in Wicca, but would love to hear perspectives from all religious folk. I may be secular, but I do love a conversation and hearing the passion of belief.
No longer does the generic interest me. I want specifics of soul-crushing depth. If this sounds aligned with your blog or disposition, go ahead and @ me cause this dash needs a refresh.
***This is blog is QUEER, and supports BLACK LIVES MATTER,  TRANS RIGHTS, and LANDBACK***
