idk maybe ill get a history degree eventually (lol. fat chance but a girl can dream) and write history books or something or get a teaching job at a college and make enough money to live in paris so i can have a life. cause living in france anywhere but paris is so dead. theres no subculture theres hardly any culture tbh!! and the few spaces i can find ("queer" spaces, i put that in scarequote bc i find the idea of "reclaiming" a slur from another language which does not have any equivalent into french to be frankly very..... well idk but basically the fact that french lgbt politics and communities are so void of anything created HERE or any link to OUR history HERE that we just adapt every single term from english social media is extremely telling of the exact problem of "nothing local exists here and what few things exist are essentially meetups of terminally online people trying to recreate american spaces") are populated by the most annoying people ever sorry. like. best way i can explain it is that it feels like being on lgbt twitter or tiktok but irl. nothing is real. everything is buzzwords and this affected fake-cute tenderqueer behavior its so exhausting. ive been saying the same stuff for years but i just feel so isolated here and always have. i always remember the first times i spent some weeks in london and in dublin and i was so blown away by how i felt like there was stuff GOING ON and people had real convos and shit and here? so bland. its all normies or like, performative lefties. hate this country fr
