is there a place besides kindle that I could read your book?

unfortunately if you want to get it while it's free, no, but you can always buy the physical copy from Amazon.

At the moment, though, Amazon has a policy which doesn't allow the book to be free at all if it's available on any other site, so I don't have the option to share it via other sites.

Now sometime in the future, I would like to unenroll it from Amazon, and just publish it for free in other places, even say, somewhere like AO3, but it's not feasible any time soon.

#writing #writers on tumblr #sorry about the kindle thing #there are other places where you can self publish but unfortunately they do subscription services #and i hate paying monthly fees when amazon kdp at least lets authors publish essentially for free #i wish it wasnt so #i do feel bad bc people have expressed a rightful disdain for amazon #but the sad reality is that there really are no viable alternatives that are accessible to most people #i think barnes and nobles is the second best place #but unfortunately they do not have a free option #they used to be a part of createspace #but amazon bought out createspace #as they always do #they railroaded me into this in 2018 i think
