Whenever the farm has their gamekeepers up here murdering, I wonder how Lawrence & Forster got their weird notions about sexy, sexy gamekeepers.
#there's of course the idea that Lawrence swiped his idea from Forster#so just maybe once upon a time there was one (1) single solitary British gamekeeper#who was sexy sexy and not a noisy sinister murdering creep#but I have real doubts#I think this was a class-related delusion about the untamed virility of the poor or something#i dislike them all & hope they're reincarnated as foxes on grouse estates#foxes don't hunt lambs#just like coyotes don't hunt calves#but no farmer or rancher will listen to that#no matter how much evidence there is available#I get that your livelihood is fragile#and that 'controlling vermin' gives you some sense that you're less at the mercy of nature and fate#but all this gets you is more rabbits and rats
