MISC/START OF INTERVIEW

- scott says the 1 thing he'd wanna go back and change/fix the past 10 years is FNAF world; said a lot of weird/bad decisions were made going into it, that he didn't like the graphics and it Could Have been a good game but he doesn't like it overall & he may consider making an improved sequel

- he was scared to hand FNAF over to steel wool but he thinks he got lucky w/ them

- refuses to play both FNAF VR games because they genuinely scare him too much; didn't want to beta test them (funny)

- he takes fault for it, saying he conveyed it in a bad way; "I was trying to tell steel wool to do specific things throughout the game, put specific items in specific places, have specific characters do certain things, meanwhile not TELLING them what the story plot was. Because in my head, I was thinking 'Okay, when people find this, they'll connect this to this to this & it will all be revealed, and I thought I could do that without telling steel wool the story plot. That didn't work out very well because they got all of these pieces, and they thought it was their job to connect them in a way that made sense. And so really what you ended up having were the same pieces telling completely different stories...I don't blame them for that, I blame myself for that, because what I should have done was gone 'hey, heres the story, the pieces are here, here's how theyre supposed to connect'."

- burntrap originally even supposed to move; just supposed to see something you saw in between machinery or in corners, that you werent supposed to know his purpose even though he used to have a very specific one (that the fandom doesnt know)

- he knows it didnt turn out like anyone wanted & thats why they made the RUIN dlc, he hopes it redeemed security breach

THE BOOKS

- process is 'he has an idea, he proposes it to the writers, they flesh it out'

- he likes bunny call the most, and that it's not entirely made up; he took his family to a summer camp. 2 older kids 2 babies. one of the things you could sign up for was a 'panda call' . a very 'deceiving title', he says. early in the morning, a bunch of the camp counselors dressed as killer clowns would come into your cabin and scare the kids to wake them up early and drag them off to do their daily activities (?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????) and he knew this was the case, & before it happened he started to sort of feel bad that he signed up his two youngest kids for it so he crept outside in the dark and 'started listening for screams' early in the morning. 'somewhere in the dark in these trees theres clowns and theyre coming for my cabin'

- acknowledges the fazgoo is weird and bad.

- the 'creature on the cover of blackbird is my sleep paralysis demon' (quite literally)

- says his least favorite story is the guy getting pregnant with springtrap's baby and that he Doesnt Know What He Was Thinking, that he swears he 'wasnt trying to pick on matpat'

- he says theres potential for the books to be adapted into shorts goosebumps style, but hes afraid it might be 'too much' and oversaturate the franchise

THE MOVIE

- he says a big issue was that there was material thats difficult to translate to the big screen; the nuance of the antagonists being that the animatronics are possessed by the spirits of innocent children, and he wanted to preserve the innocence of the victims while also having the horror and the kills, and thats a big part of why several screenplays got scrapped; he was more picky/cautious about that than anything else

- says the victims are sort of like 'confused, scared animals backed into a corner, who believe that adults are out to get them' & thats part of why they kill people + the manipulation from william afton

- he likes the movie overall but thinks specific things could be improved and they aim to do that with the second movie, but doesn't want to dwell on those shortcomings too much

- hes perfectly happy with critics hating it but the fanbase loving it & that was his goal for it

- when the movie began showing in theatres he said: 'i told myself i wasnt gonna go online i wasnt gonna read any reviews i had already told everybody at blumhouse and i told my legal team DONT talk to me DONT call me DONT email me DONT send me charts DONT send me facts or figures i dont want hear ANYTHING', saw 1 negative review on accident then started reading all of them immediately before the 2nd showing even happened

- 'for a couple of hours there i was distraught, i thought it was a complete disaster' (based off the initial negative critic reviews, before learning how much the fans loved it)

SECOND MOVIE

- Not giving away many details, but following the same formula; 1st movie based on 1st game, 2nd movie based on 2nd game, etc

- Thinks people will like it, that the setup for the 1st movie was the hardest part but now that they have that launch pad to go off of and hes really fond of what they have planned

- Emma Tammi is also directing the second one

INTO THE PIT GAME

- was originally just supposed to be a short novelty game, but they made something really good and he encouraged them to keep going & its turned into a full-fledged game

- he says its going to be a very 'unique experience' and that everyone will like it a lot

- says working with megacat (studio for the game) has been 'weird but good', that theyll vanish for several months and return with a bunch of info

SPINOFFS, GENERAL FRANCHISE STUFF, FUTURE PLANS

- Would want to work on a game based off of Fetch and that he thinks it'd be really cool

- Says he feels like he's sort of lost touch with the fanbase as things have gotten bigger

- Wants to have a better structure for managing a twitter page, official news feed, etc., wants more management than just Himself because it'd better service the fanbase

- He says theres another game planned with steel wool (not the mimic game) way down the line that hasnt been announced yet

- Making more choose-your-adventure fnaf book stuff

- He's 'very careful' with collaborations because he wants to preserve the fact its fnaf and he doesnt want it to be distorted or tainted, & even if he really really likes a game he won't do a collab if the vibes are mismatched, but he's a little more open to things like that now (but we have FNAF X DBD now! yay)

THE BOX.

- (paraphrased) His process for a lot of the lore in games is that he'll come up with half of a mystery and then come up with an answer as things progress, that he feels something is there and he makes the path for that thing to be revealed

- 'but sometimes when things progress the roads that have been put in place arent the same roads that were there before'

- he had something planned for the box. the progression of the story did not allow for the reveal of whats in the box

- he never pursued whats in the box. and he will never know whats in the box.

i dont have "favorite" as much as i have "the ones i watch every now and again".

"Blackbeard vs Al Capone" i might just like the way EpicLloyd speaks as Capone, but i also cant help but be utterly entranced by a shouting match between to middle aged men who want the other one to be scared. Favorite verse: Capone 1 (of 2)

"Wonder Woman vs Stevie Wonder" although this one still has the signature simple and cheesy bar structure that ERB is known for, this is PEAK in terms of performers. nicepeter and epiclloyd (the main guys) are great, but after the first 30 videos it became very easy to detect their individual deliveries and cadences. t-pain is pretty iconic in his performance of stevie wonder. Favorite verse: Stevie 2 (of 3)

"Stephen King vs Edgar Allan Poe" watzky was unfortunately cursed by god to forever look like a little twerp, but he works with it really well and it fits very well for the real-life twerp that was Edgar Allan Poe. and zach sherwin is always a charismatic force to be reckoned with, his uniquely clever writing style and flow shining. Favorite verse: Stephen King 2 (of 2)

"Steven Spielberg vs Alfred Hitchcock" this one's just good fun. its a little battle royale among a bunch of really famous pop directors. i know that the character-appropriate cgi background is a staple of post-season-one ERB, but i really appreciate these ones specifically for some reason. Favorite verse: Alfred Hitchcock

"Kryptonite" this isnt an ERB and is in fact a completely unrelated normal rap song but i was listening to this one today. my oldest brother listened to a lot of rap when i was young and this one was one of his favorites. i remember listening to it all the time when he would drive me to blockbuster to rent gamecube games. i didnt listen to it for a few decades, but i looked it up on youtube a few weeks ago on a whim and i really liked it a lot. it's all about smoking weed which i love doing, and the chorus is really catchy, plus the instrumental is one of my favorites. Favorite verse: Big Boi 1 (verse 3)

"The Joker vs Pennwise" both rappers somehow look like different versions of matpat in heavy makeup, and joker works in a natural "we live in a society" which i like. i think that's all i got for this one. Favorite verse: Joker 3 (of 3, because this is the one with the we live in a society bar, but all of his bars were actually really solid)

"Tony Hawk vs Wayne Gretzky" another one for the "zach sherwin is one of the best thing ERB has" pile. he delivers in a quaint (if a bit cartoonish) canadian accent a scathing comparison between the actual real-life achievements and significance and skill between the two actual athletes. which i think is very spiritually fulfilling considering the name of the series. Favorite verse: Wayne Gretzky 2 (of 2)

"James Bond vs Austin Powers" might unfortunate austin only gets 1 verse because it's far and away the best part of this one. aside from a clever pussy eating joke near the end between the two feuding bonds. Favorite verse: Austin Powers

"Nice Peter vs EpicLLOYD 2" this is an actual real-life catharsis event between the main two artists behind ERB who seemingly put very real and deep-seated creative and personal frustrations they have with each other into their verses, plus a very real burnout over this series that they put all their money on being The Big One, creating a legitimately tense feeling in watching their performances. for reference, Peter rips on how Lloyd is an alcoholic and is unwilling to let the channel grow or change, and Lloyd talks about how Peter is obsessive and manipulative, referencing a real life issue involving a friend they fucked over in the separate video he appeared in. Favorite verse: Lloyd 1 (of ??? this one is almost a duet at times really)

"Babe Ruth vs Lance Armstrong" this one is specifically here because babe's second verse goes extremely hard in an almost uncharacteristic way for a series with very middling raps in general. Favorite verse: Babe Ruth 2 (of 2)

I don’t understand why people are so mad about Matpat covering Welcome Home. Like- he pointed out a lot of stuff that, idk about you, I didnt notice. For example, the books in the background of Frank’s picture. I would’ve NEVER noticed that.

I understand getting mad because of his fans, but Matpat tries to keep it under control.

I think its a good thing, even if you don’t watch his stuff. He’s pointing out things we wouldn’t have seen and at the end of the day, he’s just trying. Just like the rest of the theory side of the fandom.

The only thing I’m worried about is Clown. As long as Clown is comfortable about the situation then don’t whine about another theorist joining the pool.

i do not need to justify my dislike for someone, nor do i need to write an entire essay on why i hate them.

i think he's a bad person who parrots bigoted jokes to his huge audience and who's "theories" are some of the least substantial, highly nitpicky nonsense i've ever seen.

idk if you're too young for this, but imagine if nostalgia critic spent his time crafting wild theories about movies instead of just talking about them, except his theories are made entirely of his most cinema sins DING nitpicky and unimportant stuff. and he STILL manages to somehow majorly misread the piece.

it'd be far less annoying if he was just doing stupid "how rich is mario" gaming bullshit or whatever but every time he tries to do real film or game theories or analysis you realize he can't even identify a surface level theme if the movie spells it out for him.

he constantly focuses on minor details and somehow misses things they LITERALLY SAY TO HIM (for example he claims that the underground people from the movie US don't have souls when it is explicitly stated that they share a soul with the above ground people. I only know this cuz i watched a big joel video critiquing Matpat, because i don't follow matpats garbage. because i fucking hated him already)

he also exemplifies a kind of white man mediocrity and stagnation that i despise artistically.

THAT BEING SAID I haven't gone out of my way to learn anything new about him in like 7 years, but i did see a video where someone compiled some of his bigoted gender/sexuality based jokes and the comment section was AWFUL. just full of garbage people making fun of the person who made the video compiling his ""jokes"" so i think that's what's reignited my hatred for him.

i try not to let people i hate live rent free in my head cuz that's where the turtles go. there's only one guy i hate that i learn more about on purpose and he's the author of the hated webseries. but i still know why i hate matpat. and it's because his art is wack and he is a hack and i hope he dies or changes. but he prolly wont do either cuz he's a successful white guy.

ok first of i LOVED what they did with mike's character???? its different from the games canon (or different from the most popular theories??? i can never remember what is actually canon and whats accepted fanon) but its sooooo interesting. making him the brother of one of the victims was SO unexpected but it worked really really well. tho going into the movie with preconceived notions ab the story fucked me up somewhat bc i took so long to accept he wasnt michael afton 😣 tho i feel the movie mightve been setting fans up that way lol

on that note his brother confused me somewhat? cuz he was one of the missing children but he wasnt one of the 5 spirits was he??? maybe he was and i just didnt notice KSBSKDBSKD ill look out for it on my second watch

another thing that was completely different from the game was the animatronics. like in the game theyre "like animals" but in the movie they all seemed very, aware??? msking decisions? they def had a mind and it was cheesy sure but i also liked it. i just loved this movie. and everything about it. i went into it knowing it was absolutely not going to be 1:1 with the game so i dont mind im just so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN I'm gonna put my spoiler thoughts under a read more but for here: I had an absolutely FANTASTIC time! I went with a few friends who love fnaf as much as I do and we were losing our minds any time ANYTHING happened it was probably the most fun I've ever had going to see a movie!!! I went with incredibly low expectations so I was completely blown away by how much effort went into making it actually fun for the fans!!!! I brought my Foxy plushie to watch it with us so he could learn <3

Okay spoiler thoughts now c:

HOLY SHIT YALL THIS MOVIE FUCKED LIKE HELL I genuinely started crying during any scene where the animatronics were allowed to be silly!!! They're just kids!!!! They're just little kids and this movie showed that way more than the games ever have and it really showed how much the people who made this really understand how that would come across in a non-survival game format

My bestie and I had to stop ourselves from genuinely screaming when the cop introduced herself as Vanessa, we were NOT expecting them to go THAT RECENT when making a movie about the first game what the HELL!!!!!!! I was so excited, she's genuinely one of my favorite fnaf characters overall so it was really cool to see a different spin on her character c:

You may know one of my besties from a video essay about the mimic that fucking dunks on matpat for incessantly insisting the books are canon and using them to make theories about the games, and I got to help a lot with that actually! Which means we both hate matpat! Which meant we spent his entire scene losing our minds to the point where we didn't even hear him say his line!!! Still the funniest thing they could have done tbh

I was in love with this movie the entire time and all the little nods to things were REALLY REALLY COOL, I knew there was going to be a bunch of little stuff when fucking chicas magic rainbow from fnaf world was an ice cream logo. The midnight motorist shirt was something I was really excited to spot, and I didn't remember the dog enough to recognize him when the movie was playing but as soon as people on Tumblr brought it up again it all clicked and that is SO FUNNY, of all things to add in as an easter egg you chose that? Funniest move ever, really really loved the audience reaction video I watched where someone got to that scene and just yelled "SPARKY?????"

AND I WILL NOT LIE, I WAS 100% SINGING DURING THE CREDITS AS SOON AS THE FACT THAT THEY ACTUALLY FUCKING GOT THE SONG SET IN I guess it really does deserve to be so high on our list!!! I'd gotten so used to it over the years that it took hearing it in a new context to be reminded how much it slaps and now it's way higher on my list of favorites <3

I'm glad everyone hates balloon boy just as much as me, I started cheering every time foxy started humming, and the actor for afton KILLED IT every time he was on screen!!!! I had SUCH a good time!!!

i feel like this story suffers from the same issue TSE has, where by straying from the games canon you’ve actually made things so much more complicated? while some things definitely made sense (vanessa being williams daughter was a nice touch and made sense for both characters fight me, also a great nod to how shes mind controlled in game canon) others feel like they just made things more complicated? like, why was garrett just a random kid in a random campsite? why was william there, why did he kill him, why do the ghost kids know him? i guess you could say, if there is a reason, it will be revealed in a later movie? but thats so many unnecessary steps when all you had to do was have garret go missing from a freddys location (like in TSE). like, mikes brothers disappearance is linked to freddys, thats why he needs to work there, you could save a lot of time aunt jane ate up. speaking of.

its such a hilarious plot hole that they just totally move past aunt janes death. like this guy is fighting tooth and nail for custody of his sister against his aunt and she shows up dead at his house and nobody is suspicious or cares. also he shows up at the hospital with a stabbed cop who’s apparently in a coma and cant verify his story at all?? the plot armor on this man!!

i realize they needed to put abby in danger at some point or else why would she even be here, but having the ghost kids want to ghostify her doesnt make a whole lotta sense >_> like they kept saying william was confusing them but they never really showed that, golden freddys spirit kid seemed pretty aware of the situation the entire time.

that one jumpscare with the kid with black goopy eyes was pretty silly lmao. feel like they could have captured the creepypasta vibe better

this is semi positive and negative, but i really really liked vanessa’s creepiness i just wish theyd leaned into it a bit more? that scene where shes staring lovingly up at the animatronics and then asks mike to dance is just so 👌 like girl what is wrong with you fr 🥰 but then her behaviors dont make much sense after that, i was a bit confused as to when she was supposed to be trying to get mike to stay and when she was supposed to be warning him away.

the writing in general was definitely a bit weird ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ eh

sorry if my negatives seem like bummers, but i really enjoy picking apart movies i like, and i tend to like things more when there is stuff to pick apart! (sensory fandom experience…..) in general i really enjoyed the movie and i think most fnaf fans will! it’s fun cheesy horror that has a lot of love for the source material without trying to BE it, which wouldn’t be possible anyway

I grew up watching this guy, idolizing him, wanting to do what he did.

And As I got older I felt more exploited and tired. I didnt want to see his content. And then he started expanding and the gimmick was fun for a while but I didnt like any of the content and felt stupid for still watching it.

Then I stopped.

And I never looked back.

But he never did. And it felt like we were never going to get to go back to when he made theorys he cared about and thought through and researched on his own/ with a small team. That he was just going to get bigger and bigger and suck everyone with a single creative idea into this void that was now GAME THEORY. Watching his platform become this twisted money maker making half baked theorys on anything popular. Indie artists dreaded hearing his name had touched his work when it used to be this BIG GREAT THING. "matpat covered my stuff? Amazing!" Became "Dear god I hope he doesnt cover my content" It never helped the creator either. Especially early on when he fought linking to the small artists cause it drew attention away from HIS platform.

(Actually unsure if he ever revoked this statement and started crediting smaller creators or not but I would hope so since even Toby fox had to get involved.)

And now that he's retiring. We might get new different content. Real theorys. Or a whole new rebrand. I dont really care.

The child in me is somewhat sad but Even that is tainted in this feeling of relief. Bittersweet I guess.

gen loss theory (that other ppl prob have too)

okay so idk if you guys know the definition of "generation loss" literally is but matpat on game theory made a video discussing his thoughts on the series from a while back (here's the video, go watch it !!)

but in that video it discussed how generation loss's literal meaning is "the loss of quality between subsequent copies or transcodes of data." so basically, the more copies of a copy, the less of quality that the copy has.

and, as we all know, at the end of the finale (and the founders cut mini video on the gen loss yt channel), there was a clip of a bunch of other tapes, there were about 7 tapes (not including with the one that was put back, the one we "watched")

oh, and if you're not dumb, you'll know in the finale at the voting time ran had a slight hole in his metal mask for some reason that we dont know of. the thing abt the hole is that its so random. its not like we saw a fight scene or just ran getting contantly hit which caused the hole, and if there WAS indeed a fight/ran getting hit in scenes we didnt see, how come there wasnt any other marks on ran? there surely would have been something right?

my theory is that in each of the different tapes, the effect of "generation loss" will start to effect on them, and each tape will have a slightly bigger hole in the mask, which is maybe how ran will face reveal.

ok so i watched the fnaf movie (not in theaters), spoilers under cut

apparently it was known that there were no jumpscares in the movie and yknow. that was real LOL there were a few parts that could be maybe considered jumpscares but literally nothing made me jump. a couple parts made me...recoil a little in surprise?? disgust??? b/c while they werent necessarily GOREY they were like. KINDA BRUTAL LOL. like girl your face is gone and you are cut in half <3 what the fuck <3

ywanna know the two things that did jumpscare me??

the matpat cameo and the end credits theme. i dont care about matpat at all but that end credits theme shook me to my fucking core. i dont mean this in a "i hated the movie" kind of way but the end credits were my favorite part in the sense that they brought me the most joy LMFAOOO

overall the movie was fun. i wouldnt say it was good necessarily! but it was very fun and i guess neat for lack of a better word. if you like the games then i think it could go either way with either liking or disliking it. i personally thought it was just neat. the animatronics kicked ass and the little easter eggs here and there were fun. other than that i didnt get a WHOLE lot out of the movie and i wouldnt necessarily watch it again but i am glad i watched it in the first place. yay feddy

IM so glad [atleast in my country] its classified as thriller it does wonders because its just clearly not horror. Its like Goofy 80s horror film and I love it. It still got some mystery [well to people who already know the game snot that much but theres still some sliver of it]. Idk i cant classify it as any genre

BUT FUCK IT I HAD FUN!!!! THATS WHAT I HOPED FOR!!!

The beggining and end were the best, middle atill was okay for me still fun :] I didnt expect Cute moments with the animatronics it was so goofy and I dig it <4

And!!! Im glad that vanessa wasnt just the love interest! I dont think it even was implied that either mike or vannessa fell in love with eachother actually. Hell for me, who knows most of the fnaf story, she was most of the mystery! Sure her plot was predictable but I think it DID make sense in the movie so its really enough for me. Tho she really has a lot going on and it would have been nice to see more of her past! Or to see that in the future?

Also its so funny to me how the plot with jane ended with her just getting fucking killed lmao

To conclude: as a fnaf fan I had fun!!! Really I think my expectations have been met I didnt expect a stellar film and yeah its no that but I had fun!!

Objectively? Yeah of course its not a great thriller. Average I would say. The plot is still holding together but no tense atmosphere is really there. Characters were fun, not woah complex but fun and acting was neat! I quite enjoyed the soundtrack of this film :] a lot of 'emotional' moments didnt hit it for me but hey im still glad mike and Abby are happy

Honestly I just think there isnt exactly a good film genre for this film? Maybe im just not knowledgable enough? But it doesnt feel right to say its thriller. And its also not right to say its comedy for me

thoughts on mascot horror GO

ill do the most popular since we mainly have the most thoughts about those BFKDJFKDF

fnaf: started out fucking amazing with an original concept but slowly devolved into "how many toys can i sell" bc of scott and funkos desire to make the game marketable. security breach is the pinacle of this. uninspired and built just to sell merch to kids. while we arent saying we dislike sb, its just very obvious it was changed under the influence of sony to be sellable and family friendly. we're a og veteran fnaf fan so seeing this decline into making fnaf family friendly/marketable and appealing to toy/merch companies was especially heinous. fnaf becoming an in house brand is the reason mascot horror is the way it is atm: made for profit only.

poppy playtime: i dont really care for this one. ill watch astralspiffs speedruns/glitchruns but overall i think its a boring game. on top of the creators doing nfts, and the merch shop being built into the home screen of the game, it exists to sell toys. its uninspired and capitalistic. it markets itself as a horror game but i hardly view it as such. it banks on a couple chase scenes but the rest of the game is boring puzzles and hardly there lore. it feels like a half baked attempt to be edgy and mysterious. "ooh its a toy factory but something SCARY is in there!!!!!!" ok? and? why should it be scary to me? elaborate. work on your story.

batim: this ones pretty cool! ill be honest, we didnt care for it much for a long time. but we kinda dig the concept! the ideas are pretty original and you can tell it was a big passion project. i dont have much to say about it other than solid 6 out of 10! it was tedious to play but i like what they were going for.

hello neighbor: oh my GOD this one sucks. i cant even go into detail bc theres so much to say. another half baked attempt at being mysterious, but its so convoluted and stupid it implodes on itself. its supposed to be a horror game but it turned into a parkour platformer almost immediately. the setting is overwhelming to be in, the puzzles dont make sense, and the devs are so desperate for matpat to make videos on the hn lore that they @ him on twitter constantly. i dont care for this one. hated playing it, even.

garten of banban: boring. theres the good the bad and the ugly of mascot horror and banban is the ugly. its a game built specifically for content farms and manipulating youtubes algorithm. the gameplay is subpar at best, everything about the game is ugly to look at, and its another game with the merch shop built into the home screen. its made to rake in exposure from 4 year olds watching youtube on mommys ipad. i genuinely do not like banban. the only funny thing about it was the bird up thing uhyeah started on twitter.

ok just finished the game theorists final part of the fnaf timeline

problem is is that like . you cant really blame matpat or the game theorists team on this one because he himself calls out in one part of the video going like " there were too many ideas, going in too many different directions " about the fnaf storyline. its a combination of scott continuing the franchise despite the fact that he originally made it end in fnaf 4 and then steel wool just kinda . made security breach which gave us even MORE loose ends . so if anyone is going to go on a rampage hating matpat/game theorists on the fact that it sucks i think is just . kind of silly and stupid . like idk man its not their fault , theyre just trying to piece together a mess in the most logical way

so while it doesnt feel the Best because of how (imho) high quality narratively his retelling of the lore was for the previous parts , its mostly cuz security breach is a fucking mess story wise ? and SOMEHOW the previous games (not counting AR and VR) were more put together story wise SOMEHOW

thing that i personally most disliked is how he presents mrs afton's name as "clara afton" to be just like . some kind of information everyone knew ? cuz for me that was super out of pocket and i didnt get why it was there cuz there wasnt even a footnote like he said they'd use in these for references and he didnt address it at the end ? apparently thats the name of the woman in the tv show from sister location . how was i supposed to remember that beats me also didnt like that he went with the mike possessing glam freddy + gregory bot storyline but its ok i understand why they did . i just rly hate that thats the canon of the games now

also the editing in this last part was ... a little goofy . that frame of unshaded(?) glamrock freddy . why they put him at an angle like That

anyway yea . it was ok because i respect the work theyre putting into this and how passionate they are about this , but it just feels so Bad because the original story theyre trying to make sense out of is just not good might watch the livestream in the background ? im curious what they will discuss

oh boy new lockstin/gnoggin pokemon Theory yknow, i appreciate lockstin for his unique approach to theories, in a sort of... whimsical fun way, like when matpat does absurd stuff like sans is ness. but thats a whole different topic since bonkers-theories like that can be really annoying (hollow knight moment) when theres a big lore community and actual lore in the game anyways, in terms of lockstin? his videos on pokemons design inspirations are great, as he goes through a lot of the potential inspirations, not just a single one. like not just yin and yang for the tao trio... but also, sometimes he decides to make grand conspiracy level pokemon theories about the timeline and the greater story being told by several generations and, well i dont think pokemon DOESNT do hinting towards the future or have vague general plans about what they want to next do with a region, leaving open ended plotpoints and such but i also definitely know they dont go as deep as he gives them credit for, like with his "gen 7 is the final pokemon game" or something. theory. it was beautiful in how amazingly it was put together, even if it absolutely is not something that was true or even seemed true. i just think its an artform to be able to pick apart pieces of evidence to create your own ... well, vaguely lore supported headcanons i suppose. like again, sans is ness is a good example. ofc matpat didnt think that was truly the case, but its compelling in how you can so elegantly cherry pick things and present them in a way that makes you go HOLY SHIT WHAT A COINCIDENCE OH MY GOD THAT HAS TO BE INTENTIONAL i like suspending my disbelief for these types of things and lockstin has put out a new Big Grand One Hour Long pokemon theory frankly i think gen 8 and onwards they've stopped caring about the pokemon multiverse, and they're certainly not on the level of "everything is all connected. alchemy . the philosophers stone. the creation of the universe, its all connected etc"

but i am still quite excited to see what he has in store, especially as a terapagos fan . since we're dry of official terapagos content lul its cool to see him talk about potential real world connections and then, pull a sansness maybe this theory IS going to be more grounded while still quite crazy, but we'll see. ill watch it sometime tonight

the scene with the animatronics and abby being besties felt a bit too ooc at first to me and ive heard that other people felt the same but as i think more about it it does kinda make sense. one of the main differences from the game is that in this the ghost kids' minds seem to be pretty intact? or like they can think theyre fully conscious etc so. i can see them wanting to do kid stuff. and i saw someone point out that they were actively trying to get abbys trust too so they could convince her to 'join them' (bc afton was somehow influencing them to be #evil) so, theres that. and either way it doesnt take away from the overall experience so who cares

the tv scenes were such a missed oportunity they couldve shown the immortal and the restless... i kept waiting for it :(
