She squinted at the screen when she'd received a response to her email. It made sense that Thorton was one of those proper grammar and punctuation kind of guys. Literally what a nerd... But he was a nerd that, if she played her cards right, could make her so much bank. Paldea didn't have a battle facility, so if she could recruit one from another region to help her out, it could bring in a huge new audience!

She'd already asked Emmet, but he didn't seem too great with more modern technology. He kept wanting her to call him on some shitty old watch thing called an X-Something, and he had no clue what she was talking about when she suggested FaceTime as an alternative. Wasn't he supposed to be good at engineering, or something? Doubt. Major doubt.

Thorton wasn't making this much easier though, it seemed. It was just an entirely different kind of difficult with this guy. She groaned, letting herself slowly droop from her vintage Video Gear Command Center™ and onto the floor as if she were melting. She laid there on the ground for what felt like hours but was probably only a few minutes before dragging herself back up, sitting back down, and hastily writing a reply.
