I'll get in on that: What of your home brew works are you most proud of? What do you think could use an update? And lastly: What ideas have you had that you cant seem to get working right?
Most proud of: Gladiator class, definitely. Making a class requires a ton, and it’s something I put a lot into and I think it turned out great. I also really like my most recent monster set- The Animal Addendum. It wasn’t as difficult to do per se, but I think it turned out really well.
An honorary mention would also be the CR 1 / 20 challenge I did for a while. Lot of fun stuff from that, and it was really interesting trying to find ways to give a lower CR monster powerful abilities so it wasn’t just ‘Bear but with Tarrasque stats’
For updates: Not much that I’ve ‘officially’ published. I put a LOT of effort into quality control and balancing relative to stuff from the core rules. Most of this would be just finishing ideas that I haven’t officially released (IE: Natures, Monster Classes, Homebrew magic guns, etc.) or adding onto prior brews. For example with my very first homebrew monster set on Skeletons, I had 14 rough ideas, and I published the set with 7 complete skeleton statblocks. Some of these got combined, but if I really wanted to I could probably add a couple more.
In terms of content creation though, it is unlikely I will ever re-visit a published title beyond fixing errors that shouldn’t be there. Updating a monster set won’t get attention, I would have to re-publish it or make a second one for that.
That being said, I think I could go back and put my finished brews from the Homebrewery through the GM Binder and photoshop to update them to my current formatting style, but I lowkey think that it’s kind of cool being able to see how my formatting evolved, so I haven’t done so.
The biggest thing that I think would make sense to do would be to go through all of my older posts on Tumblr and give them a uniform tagging system to make it easy to go through them, but holy fuck that is a can of bullshit that I really don’t want to bother with
Ideas I can’t get right: Shaman Class (still in idea format, have a lot of concepts, need to iron it out), my discord servers formatting is something I will endlessly tinker with, and where I put the DMG logo on the cover of a title. For now I’ve just been slapping it in the middle, unless I have a picture, in which case it goes in the bottom left opposite my logo
These were some really great questions, had to think hard about ‘em tbh lol
